One thing I think about sometimes is that there's a dialogue chain in one of Ratio's text messages where he sends us the blueprints for what he explicitly describes as "an anti-planetary weapon design that [he] once devised," which apparently comes with the potential to turn into a full-on gundam???? He says that the necessary materials haven't been developed yet, but that the Guild is working on it and should have results within the next five Amber Eras.

For those who've read his third character story, the phrasing of "anti-planetary weapon" should register as both familiar and odd, especially considering how blasé he is in describing it to the Trailblazer.

My read on the character story is that the creation of the anti-planetary weapon was (whether consciously or not) a compromise to his principles in pursuit of Nous's gaze, and that the IPC's interest in said weapon was his reality check that he didn't want to become the sort of person who pursued knowledge without regard for human life. Even if you don't take that reading, Ratio is more than smart enough to recognize that the IPC can and has used threats like the Antimatter Legion and the Swarm as excuses to develop and unleash weapons with galaxy-scale collateral damage. (See: the Imaginary pulse weapon in this side quest on Penacony.)

When we ask for a weapon for the Express, Ratio tells us that high-caliber armaments are a necessity for traversing the cosmos, which isn't exactly wrong in light of how we deal with Sunday in Penacony, but turning the train into a battering ram is a far cry from turning it into something that could destroy a planet. The fact that the projected timeline is on a scale of Amber Eras suggests to me that he's being at least somewhat facetious about the idea of a collaboration, especially since the whole reason we're having the conversation is that he wanted us to lob thought experiments at him to distract him from work stress. But he does send us a blueprint file, and the terminology of an "anti-planetary weapon" (specifically one he designed in the past, rather than at our request) feels way too specific to be a coincidence.

I have a pet theory that the gundam design is a form of malicious compliance toward the IPC, and the reason the Guild can't even figure out the materials is because he deliberately handed them a nightmare monstrosity of a blueprint and then refused to elaborate.

(The bill of materials casually demands components that break the laws of physics. There are whole pages of math so complicated no one can parse enough of it to conclusively prove that it's bullshit and not just the revolutionary innovations of a man five Amber Eras ahead of his time. The research team sends a terrified intern to ask if the orbital laser cannon really needs to turn into a humanoid assault mech. He shakes his head and tells them that if they truly understood his work then they wouldn't ask such pointless questions.)

Hello there everyone, after a long break from doing this I decided to come back and do more headcanons. Starting out with ArgentHill HCs. (Some NSFW.)

Argenti ~ Walks into the room “Hello everyone and Boothill”

Boothill ~ Turns to Argenti with a huge smile “There’s my wifey~!”

Trailblazer and Dan Heng ~ Turns to look at each other with a smug look

Argenti ~ “Good morning to you too Boothill”

> Argenti would be so caught up in his mission to find Idrila that he wouldn’t even notice his feelings for Boothill until the Trailblazer ended up saying something to him

> One time, Boothill found Argenti hurt while the Trailblazer sent them both on a mission and Boothill immediately rushed to his side and ended up picking Argenti up bridal style and brought him back to their camp before panicking to try and save him as he didn’t want to lose another loved one

> Boothill fell first (and then was the one to confess), Argenti fell harder once he realized his attraction for Boothill. Argenti would also be obliviously flirting with Boothill (before they got together) because he would think he was giving genuine compliments, but ended up flirting

> Boothill had brought Argenti to the middle of a flower field to confess, which Argenti said yes to

> Argenti would always kiss, touch, or do anything to Boothill on his face since that’s the only place Boothill can feel anything. Argenti would also praise Boothill every chance he got so Boothill wouldn’t think Argenti regretted starting to date him because of his now cyborg body

Boothill ~ “Princess…why do you always touch or kiss me on my face? Do you not like the rest of my body being a cyborg? Are you sure you don’t regret dating me because most of my body is a cyborg..?” 

Argenti ~ Looking over at Boothill with his usual soft smile “I love you and your body, lovebug…I just mostly dote on you on your face because it’s the only place you can feel anything. Also no, I don’t regret dating you mon amour…you’re perfect just how you are”

> Boothill would always do Argenti’s hair in the morning or whenever he felt like it because it reminded him of how he did his daughter’s hair and Argenti would always allow it because he knew how much it meant to Boothill to do someone’s hair again. Boothill also started crying once while doing Argenti’s hair because he remembered always doing his daughter’s hair and he had flashbacks since that’s how he always did his daughter’s hair

Argenti ~ “Do you want to stop doing my hair? I see it brings you much pain and many tears.”

Boothill ~ “No…it brings back happy memories.”

Then the two then share a hug

> Every year for Valentine's Day, Boothill would always buy Argenti a dozen roses, which Argenti hangs upside down to dry so they would keep their shape and beauty. Argenti would always take Boothill out on a date of some sort 

> Boothill would always get so worried over Argenti whenever he got sick because since he got his cyborg body, he would never get sick

> Sometimes when Argenti was out for a long period of time (longer than what Argenti said he would be out on) on his search for Idrila, Boothill would get so worried about him that he would beg the Trailblazer to help him find him or else he wouldn’t sleep

> Their wedding would be extravagant cuz that’s what Argenti wanted and Boothill wants whatever Argenti wants

> The two of them are switches, but Boothill would be the more dominant one. When Argenti is the top, he would praise Boothill about how beautiful he is and everything since Boothill would probably be insecure about his looks since becoming a cyborg

> Argenti would be such a giggly mess around Boothill or become Shakespeare and start flirting with Bootill when he’s tired or it’s late at night (or he would do both at the same time), which Boothill finds adorable and then tucks Argenti into bed so he could go to sleep 

> Whenever Boothill is out on one of his bounty runs or IPC hunts, Argenti will text him every half an hour making sure he’s okay since he’s worried about him

> The two of them would share a braincell, they just use it differently until Argenti is getting his brains fucked out by Boothill, or Boothill getting his brain fucked out by Argenti

> Their theme song would be “Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy”

> Argenti and Boothill would have double dates with Dr. Ratio and Aventurine, which Boothill would be trying his best to not kill Aventurine

> The easiest way to persuade Boothill to do anything (for Argenti) is to let Boothill fuck his brains out

Boothill ~ “...What do I get out of it?”

Argenti ~ “I’ll let you do whatever you want with me until I can’t think properly, anywhere you’d want~”

Boothill ~ Staring at Argenti for a good minute before his cheeks went pink and mumbling “Fine…”

> (Assuming Boothill is waterproof) Argenti would always want him to shower with Boothill and wash his hair even though Boothill never really cared about his hair being clean since it would always get dirty with blood or dirt or something whenever he would go out on missions

> Argenti would convince Boothill to shower with him sometimes by stripping but leaving a towel around his dick and walk out into their living space

Argenti ~ “It seems I got a bit messy today~, I’d sure like it if a cowboy would come clean me up~”

Boothill ~ “Darling…I can only do this so many times a week-”

Argenti would drop his towel

Argenti ~ “Oh, clumsy me~”

Boothill would then snatch Argenti, throw him over his shoulder, and bring him straight to the shower or their shared bedroom

> Before they got engaged and moved in together, Boothill gave Argenti a key to his apartment and so once when Boothill was out on a trip, Argenti stepped into his apartment and redecorated it

> Argenti would cut Boothill’s hair whenever he thought it got too long

> Boothill definitely grows a small stubble on his chin and Argenti would always love to kiss at it and pout when Boothill wanted to shave it off 

Boothill ~ Looking in the bathroom mirror at his chin “...Argenti, what would you do if I shaved off this stubble?” Argenti ~ Looks over at Boothill in a panic “What? Why would you ever do that to me, your rosie! You know I love your stubble..!”

Boothill ~ Now looking over at Argenti from where he stood at the bathroom sink “Do you really like it that much princess?”

Argenti ~ “Yes! Keep it! Please…!”

> Boothill wears aprons while he cooks so he doesn’t get any gross food stuff in his circuits or joints and Argenti finds it adorable and loves to just hug on him when Boothill wears them

> Argenti woke up early one morning and decided to wear only Boothill’s apron and make pancakes for the two of them to enjoy, so when Boothill woke up, got out of bed, went to the kitchen, and saw Argenti’s slutty waist. He walked over and then wrapped his arms around Argenti’s waist before peppering kisses into the crook of Argenti’s neck

> Boothill is very behind on slang but Argenti hears a lot of it and keeps up with it on social media

Argenti ~ “That wasn’t very pog of you to not suck my dick.”

Boothill, doing some maintenance on his gun, not even looking up

Boothill ~ “Aaaand that's why I didn't suck your willy.”

> Right after they started dating, Argenti had the brilliant idea one Valentine's Day to put on his sexiest and most expensive lingerie and went into Boothills bedroom while it was empty to light candles, spread rose petals around the bed and lay condoms on the nightstand.  When Boothill got back, he walked over to Argenti and they started making out

Boothill proceeds to take away Argenti's thinking abilities and walking abilities

> Argenti wears those dad reading glasses and most of the time, Boothill doesn’t like how they look on others. However, on Argenti, he finds them extremely sexy and gets turned on by them

Boothill ~ “Fudge me with your glasses on.”

Argenti ~ “Honey, they’d fall off...”

Boothill ~ “Then put them back on and keep going!”

> Argenti does the Italian hand thing but only when he's really excited or angrily explaining something that the other is not understanding and Boothill thinks it's hilarious

> Argenti tries to keep more vulgar language out of his daily speech, but Boothill is determined to get at least a few swears out of him whenever he’s fucking Argenti. Which Argenti obliges and swears quietly under his breath when Boothill hit a particular spot inside him

> Argenti can’t play instruments (I’ve been told its canon, I don’t pay attention to Argenti lore) and he thinks he’s bad at singing since he can’t play instruments, so Boothill would quietly sing lullabies to Argenti whilst playing with his hair or something when he’s upset and it helps calm Argenti down somewhat

> Boothill acts all tough around other adults/most more grown teenagers (14-18), but would do a complete 180 turn around younger children (13 and below) and act more “soft” around them and Argenti finds it so cute. Which Boothill being soft around younger children would give Argenti baby-fever

Sometimes i think about the fact that Jing Yuan has no one he can lean onto and be completely vulnerable, you know those situations of "i look for an adult, but it turns out im the adult" situations? Thats him

Im not saying he has no companions, he does, old and new, but there always feels like a gap inbetween them, a bridge no one nor him wants to cross, either its from his fear of losing more people in his life without realizing or his title as a general

His position doesnt help him in that aspect either, because if the people sees their leader waver it would shatter the trust, he always has to be multiple steps ahead all the time and put a front that he knows what hes doing no matter if he does or doesnt

Hes not alone, and yet he keeps everyone at arms length, surely itd get lonely eventually?
