Hi, it's been pretty cool finding someone with similar thoughts and feelings about Thalia and i was wondering if I could ask what your favorite thing about her character was and why?

Hey!! First off, I'm so sorry for the incredibly late response! Got caught up with IRL stuff and haven't been active online in a couple of months. But anyway, thank you so much for the ask! I love any chance to gush about Thalia and it means a lot someone reads my stupid rants enough to ask.

Honestly, there's so much I could say here but if I had to pick an aspect, it's probably because she's one of those characters that are super fun to prod around and dissect since not only is her personal story ripe with some lovely angst, nuanced character flaws and strengths, and a protective streak that I'm particularly vulnerable to, but her story is also strongly intertwined with the narrative's heart despite only being a major character for one book. She's like this shadow looming over the series' pivotal characters and themes.

Like, her sacrifice five years before the start of book 1 leaves this lingering impact you can just feel. Obviously it's a major event affecting the development of Luke, Annabeth, and Grover, but you even see how she literally forms Percy's--and thereby, the audience's--perception on sacrifice and what a hero should be which is a theme that's repeatedly brought up and debated in the series.

And of course, when it comes down to it, this is a story about family. About love and the lengths you go through to protect the people you care about. While I'm not going to go on a tirade about what a selfless angel she is or anything like that, from my personal interpretation of her character, it's easy to see that she loves so so deeply. Every decision she makes is to protect the people she's deemed as her family because as someone who grew up in a household where that kind of love was scarce, of course she values the people who have decided to care for her without her having to earn it. But the thing is, she keeps getting snatched away from her family or having them break away from her, and it must hurt so much but she keeps standing. Idk, that's just super impressive to me and I love her to pieces lol.

Also she's a complete lunatic...yeah, scratch whatever I said before. This right here is the answer.

You can tell @my-kawaii--world made post A and then edited it to be post B. Post A was meant to trend to the top of the tags, post B was meant to pivot to directing people to their dropshipping store, "lavenderconstellation" Users see a post with a ton of notes and think "must be legit, these are real users, not just porn bots!" and think that the store website is trusted by all those thousands of users.

I think it's high odds that "lavenderconstellation" is a dropshipping website. Dropshipping is when someone makes an online storefront for a variety of curated products that the store runner neither manufactures nor even likely has their hands on. They use product photos they found online, they have no guarantee of quality or even that they'll be able to acquire the product when you it order from them. They may take your money and give you nothing, they may give you a random other product so they can produce a shipping label, they may send you a product that is similar to the photos. Not likely they'll get you the products as pictured at the prices they are listing.

At best, a dropshipper is a middle-man. At worst they'll take your money and customer info and you get nothing.

Again, it started as a meme and then pivoted to this ring sales page. As you can see from this person's comment, well noticed @hst3000 👍

I'm wondering about that @dduane reply, is faked or that a real reply she made at some point? Have they just been milking that "celebrity" endorsement for every one of the posts they made to sell that thing?

Always, linking to the same dropshipping store saying something that implies they just stumbled upon it and are not personally involved with the one store they are always showcasing products from.
