Formed by Emu and Mizuki, this group of bright personalities has its ultimate goal to cheer people up and support them through tough time with their music 🌸

Honami is the main composer, Emu and Minori are responsible for lyrics and performances and Mizuki deals with all the design things

Some explanation under the cut:

Honami is the ultimate crybaby. Don't get me wrong, she'll beat you to death with her bare knuckles, she'll just do it while sobbing her eyes out. She's especially sensitive to topics of separation. Get a sad movie about love that was never meant to be and you have a crying Honami and a pissed l/n waiting for you by the door.

Saki is a close second, not only because the Tenmas are genetically crybabies, but also because (after spending so much time in the hospital) even the most normal things can seem overwhelming for her. She's the kind of person to cry when she remembers snakes can't hug because they have no arms. Don't even get me started on how she reacts to sad movies about dogs.

Similarly to Honami, Ichika is extremely sensitive to topics of separation, loneliness and doomed yuri. If anyone in l/n makes a divorce joke she'll come running to them 5 minutes later with her big wet eyes and whine "baeee, *hic* please go back to bed i misss uuuu"

Please join the crybaby Ena Shinonome agenda. Sure she's not the usual "ueueueue😭" crybaby but she's one nonetheless please I will literally die on this hill

Emu Otori almost got her own section because even though she's made cry fairly easily nobody ever sees her like that except wxs, and even then it happens only seldom. She's only lower than Tsukasa because she doesn't get the daily wxs-typical bug exposure Tsukasa gets.

Rui doesn't know how to cry in the same way some people don't know how to whistle. He will scrunch his face in abnormal ways but a tear will never shed.

Changed Haruka as a last moment epiphany but I think she just forgot how to cry all that much after being an idol for so long. She can if she really wants to but most of the time she'll just stare at you with her weezer blue orbs and feel bad for the rest of her life *points at her initial 3* untrained*

Nene and Shiho look absolutely delightful while crying, they just see it as a skill issue type of thing.

But if you've ever read mmj main story you know Airi is an ugly crier.

April Fools Year 1.1: Shuffle Units

TL;DR: For April Fools, Miku brought us to explore an alternate timeline for a day. All the characters are the same ones we know and love; however, if their stories had shifted just slightly....

Aoharu/friends consists of Ichika, Saki, Ena, and Airi. They are a band who want to enjoy youth together. Ichika plays guitar, Saki synthesizer, Ena drums, and Airi bass.

YUME YUME JUMP! consists of Kanade, An, Shizuku, and Shiho. They are a recently-formed trial idol unit with the goal of spreading hope through music.

Fantasista SQUAD consists of Akito, Toya, Tsukasa, and Rui. They pair up as street performers with the goal of putting on incredible performances in back alleys.

Happiness Sentai SunnySunny☆Wonder! consists of Emu, Haruka, Mafuyu, and Kohane. They work together to put on a play at the Wonder Stage for a class project.

Fellow Hobbyists on Days Off. consists of Mizuki, Honami, Nene, and Minori. They are a Nightcord circle who bond over having passionate interests.

Aoharu/friends Cover: Aoku Kakero! (feat. Hatsune Miku)

Saki wants to enjoy her adolescence by starting a band. She invited Ichika, who wants to cover Miku songs, and Airi, the idol who inspired her in the hospital, to join. Airi also invited Ena, an old friend and Kamiyama night school student.

The band all visit Phoenix Wonderland together. Saki wants to get their photo taken, but Ena's hesitant. Airi convinces her to join, since neither of them can deny Ichika and Saki's eagerness.

The group discuss Airi's strictness during band rehearsal. They decide to come up with incentives for completing all their practice goals. Ichika wants to go to a Miku concert, Saki wants to go hiking, and Ena wants to crash one of Akito's performances.

YUME YUME JUMP! Cover: Happy Synthesizer

The members all greet each other for the first time. Shizuku formed the group with Kanade, who was pushed into it to save others with her music in new ways, Shiho, a temporary member who wants experience as a professional musician, and An, who's excited for a challenge.

Kanade quickly becomes exhausted during practices. An jokingly suggests she tries a power suit the strange guy at her school built. Shiho points out shortcuts like that defeat the point of spreading hope. They decide to improve Kanade's stamina by running with her every morning, much to her dismay.

YUME YUME JUMP prepare for their debut event. Shizuku explains the name of their group as symbolizing the overlapping dreams of their group before they head out on stage.

Fantasista SQUAD Cover: Ifuudoudou (feat. KAITO)

The four discuss stage names based on their last names (much to Akito's annoyance): "Pegasus" Tenma, "God Generation" Kamishiro, "Blue Willow" Aoyagi, and "Daybreak" Shinonome. Toya had convinced Akito to join since Tsukasa and Rui could teach them about performance. Akito agrees if they can call their group something other than "Pegasus Dogs".

They decided on "Fantasista SQUAD" after the soccer and acting term for a skilled player. Tsukasa declares their group ready to be known in backstreets all around the world. Akito does not know what that means.

Akito and Toya watch Rui direct Tsukasa through a dance. They admire his attention to detail and knack for performance. Rui finally notices them and begins directing them, too. Toya takes the vague directions earnestly. Akito is still confused.

Happiness Sentai SunnySunny☆Wonder! Cover: Positive Dance Time (feat. Kagamine Rin)

The four members of the class project introduce themselves. Mafuyu was assigned leader due to being the oldest. Haruka joined since she liked the theme of "making people smile", and Kohane is a big fan of Phoenix Wonderland. Emu is scared of Mafuyu. They begin planning their show.

Emu plays a character named "Sunny Sunny Happy Emu", Mafuyu "Goodness Smile Mafuyu", Haruka "Stoic Challenger Haruka" and Kohane "Makeover Beast Kohane", the four members of "Happiness Sentai SunnySunny☆Wonder!". Mafuyu asks why Emu gave her the trait of "unshakable", but Emu's too scared to admit it's because she can't make Mafuyu smile for real. Kohane guesses it's because she's a reliable leader.

Haruka asks who the villain of the play will be. Mafuyu suggests playing that role, "demonstrating" a cold, unfeeling character, "Darkness Smile Mafuyu". Emu hesitates since she wants everyone, including Mafuyu, to smile, so Haruka suggests having it be a secret agent type character they eventually befriend.

Fellow Hobbyists on Days Off. Cover: Venom

The group have their first offline meeting. Mizuki introduces themself as the founder and lover of cute things and anime. Nene explains her fondness for musicals and competitive games. Minori is a fan of former idol Haruka. Finally, Honami loves walking her dog, gardening, and apple pies.

At their second offline meeting, the four discuss how nice it is to have people who listen to them ramble about their hobbies. Mizuki and Nene find it especially nice since they don't go to school often and have social anxiety, respectively. Honami and Minori are now dog walking buddies, too.

The group discuss Happiness Sentai SunnySunny☆Wonder!'s performance. Mizuki liked the story and Nene the music. Minori was so starstruck seeing Haruka in person that she stopped paying attention to her surroundings. After snapping her back to reality, they all decide to go eat a snack and discuss more.

-thought this would be funny that the event pp♤ had equivalent to Light Up the Fire would be haruka finding out about nagi with an (mixed event key story other than the anni ones hear me out)

-emu finds honami (i dont know how, maybe just a school-related thing happened) they become the P♤NIC part of the group name. honami is very cautious at first (because iykyk x2) but slowly gets into it

Kanade and Mafuyu make sure to eat at least one meal together every day. Queerplatonic Mafuyu/Kanade.

Kanade and Mafuyu tended to forget to eat, so they both agreed to at least eat one meal a day together.

It eventually turned into a daily ritual for both of them. On school days, they'd eat together whenever Mafuyu returned home and on the weekends, they would eat together in the afternoon. It was a nice change from Kanade's previous habit of eating cup ramen whenever her body forced her to eat, and it gave them time to talk through their work process. Honami would sometimes join in on the conversation and she was more than happy to provide her own prepared meals when she did her housekeeping. Though, Mafuyu decided to cook today, which was a nice change of pace. Kanade helped by taste-testing the food and reassuring Mafuyu that everything was perfectly seasoned; Mafuyu's lack of taste made cooking on her own a bit of an ordeal.

But, even though their late lunch today was delicious, Kanade wasn't sure if Mafuyu was happy with her own cooking--much less satisfied. Her expression remained unchanged throughout every step of the process: pressing the tofu, tasting the soup stock, and sitting down to eat the food. It was like she was just going through the motions like a machine. What was it like to live like that, Kanade wondered. There wasn't a hint of joy in Mafuyu's eyes no matter how hard Kanade studied her, but she knew that this Mafuyu--the unmasked Mafuyu--always expressed herself differently and imperfectly. She hoped that somewhere, deep down, that this Mafuyu was at least content here.

After discussing how to structure the bridge for their latest song, Mafuyu suddenly stood and began to clear the table. Kanade quickly held out her hand and shook her head.

"You can relax, Mafuyu," she said. "You already went through so much trouble to cook for me."

Mafuyu looked at her for a moment, then sat down without protesting. Kanade picked up her plates, stacked them on top of Mafuyu's, then cautiously brought the pile to the sink.

"Thanks for cooking again, Mafuyu," Kanade repeated.

"It's nothing."

"Still, I know it's not easy to cook. You know me, I struggle to even cut an apple." Kanade laughed at herself.

"If you practiced a bit, you can work your way up to it eventually if you want to."

"I will, but it's nice to have you and Mochizuki-san around to help me." Kanade scrubbed the reside off of a bowl and looked outside the window. "Do you like cooking?"

"I'm not sure," mumbled Mafuyu.

"Well, I think you're good at it, even if you can't taste it yet."

"I thought that maybe, if I tried to cook...I'd..."

Mafuyu's voice trailed off as if it was breaking. Kanade waited for her to continue, but the last part of the sentence never came.

"...Mafuyu? What did you think would happen?" asked Kanade, but still no response. The sound of the clattering plates and running water punctuated the silence. Her brow furrowed, but she didn't turn around. Mafuyu's breathing was so still that it was like she vanished from the room, so Kanade let the water run over plates. The white bubbles swirled then vanished out of sight. Kanade turned the tap off, hung the last plate on the dish rack, dried her hands, then finally turned around. Mafuyu was still seated at the table, but she was looking down at the ground with an unfixed gaze. Her breathing was quiet, as if she was searching for the right words to explain how she felt.

Kanade sat next to Mafuyu and reached for her hand under the table, wrapping one of them in both of her palms. Mafuyu's hands were always so cold, as if she'd never known warmth in her life, so she hoped that the meager warmth from her body could thaw Mafuyu's cold heart.

"...I...thought..." Mafuyu stuttered, quietly, as if the words were cracking through a thin sheet of ice. "I thought... I could understand my mother...a bit more..." Her voice wavered as she explained, "I remember thinking...her food was delicious before, but suddenly I couldn't taste it." Mafuyu brought her free hand up to her chest as if searching for something to cling to. "I wondered...if I made something myself, would I be able to understand anything...about her...about me...? But..." Her fingers tightly tugged at the fabric of her jacket. "But... I don't understand anything still. Maybe I'm just the same...as her..."

"That's not true, Mafuyu," Kanade gripped Mafuyu's hand tighter as if wanting to be the anchor she was searching for. "You're not like her."

Mafuyu lifted her gaze to Kanade, still expressionless, still unfixed, but her eyes seemed to plead for an answer from Kanade.

"I know you don't know yourself, Mafuyu, but in the time you've lived here, I've seen how thoughtful and caring you are. Even if you can't see that in yourself, I...all of Niigo sees that in you," Kanade spoke softly, almost whispering. "I hope that someday, you get to know yourself in the way we know you."

Mafuyu didn't reply. She simply rested her head on Kanade's shoulder and closed her eyes. Kanade stared at her, watching the tension in her body melt away and listening to the subtle sound of her breathing.

"Will you stay here until I get to know myself, Kanade?"

"Of course I will, Mafuyu. We all will."

Starrynight (Ichika): An orphan Nightwing who lives with the Tenmas in a Oasis close to the border between the Kingdom of sand and Icekingdom. She was the only one staying with Fennec when the war started.

Fennec (Saki): Sandwing with development issues caused by hatching early. Her wings are unusually small and she's prone to Sickness. Her family controls the Oasis l/n lives at. Fell severely ill right before the war. After recovering Fennec then ran away with Star to find the others.

Bole (Honami): Mudwing who was kicked out of her troop for appearing two-faced. She ended up meeting and befriending l/n. She was the first that left when hostility grew because of the war.

Snowhare (Shiho): Runaway Icewing princess. Finding herself unfit for the higher cycles she fled Icekingdom, passing out in the desert, for heatstroke reasons. Leoneed found the Icewing and swiftly adopted her. In the Tenma oasis Snowhare spends most of the day sleeping in her cave, only being active at night where the temperature is lower. Time she spends stargazing and singing with the others. She was the second one to leave when hostility grew

Otter (Minori): unsuccessful Mudwing soldier, whose original troop died. She joined many different groups as an unsib, but got quickly kicked out of most of them. Her affiliation with Penguin is hard to explain. During the time the Mudwings and Seawings were allies, Otters old troop fought alongside the wing Penguin lead, so she frequently saw Penguin on the sidelines. Then the Mudwings switched sides, fights broke out, Otters troop gets mostly eradicated (Not by Penguins wing btw, dear god no I'm not that cruel) and Otter winds up traveling alone.

Penguin (Haruka): Seawing ex-soldier. Penguin grew up at a Seawing village close to Skykingdom, the same Mirage lived in. When the war started she was sent to the deep palace to join the military. Proving herself capable Penguin was allowed to lead a wing and aid the Mudwings against the Skywings. When the Mudwings switched sides it came to multiple battles the last one leading to countless casualties. Penguin blames her herself for the incident and left the military right after. That leads to her meeting Otter.

Finch (Airi): Skywing ex-soldier. Her previous goal was to be a respected and skilled soldier and she did have the skills, but in the end Finch got put into the position of public speaker. She begrudgingly accepted that for a while, since going against the Queens wishes would be a death sentence, but when the great escape happened she like many left the Palace. During her time outside she found Thaw lost and alone.

Thaw (Shizuku): Icewing princess. Being the eldest daughter had the pressure to perform well and be in the highest circle. Thaw being the airhead she is, sge barely manages that, so Snowhare was expected to overtake the throne. But Snowhare ran away because of the added pressure, therefore making Thaw the only real option they have. Yet things didn't seem to go for the better so as a final chance of redemption Thaw was commanded to lead an attack against the Skywings. But on her way there she got separated from the group and ended up lost. Finch found her

Lizard (Kohane): Sandwing prisoner who got caught when she accidentally stumbled into combat. Despite her inexperience she was able to defeat a Icewing in the arena, impressing Mirage who made her her partner (in crime)

Mirage (An): Sky/Seawing hybrid and prisoner. When the war broke out her skywing father and his Seawing partners disappeared, so Mirage flew to Skykingdom to find them. Unlucky for her there was Chaos in Skykingdom, for RADder pulled of the great escape, freeing dozens of prisoners. She got caught in the crossfire and turned prisoner, but Miriage made it her goal to not only free every prisoner, but to destroy the arena as well.

Smoke (Akito): Fireless Skywing prince. Goalless, he mainly stuck to the sidelines keeping himself away from Chimeras impulsive killings, but nothing more. When the great escape happened though, he saw a way to rebel against Chimeras cruel rule. That inevitably lead to him ending up in a mock trial where he was given the choice of what punishment he should receive. Smoke chose the arena.

Summit (Toya): Icewing prince (Branch family) and prisoner in Chimeras arena. He mostly stuck to himself, but Smoke convinced him to join forces. The Icewing is unsure of the reality of such a dream, but he's willing to indulge it

WxS

Sun (Tsukasa): Boisterous Sandwing and Fennecs brother. Being the oldest and healthiest dragonet, he spent most of his time taking care of the peace and general mood of the oasis, also engaging in the occasional play. When Fennec and Star ran away he immediately went out to try and find them. During his search he first met Emu who was eager to help and then met both Director and Shadowsong. During their travels they got sidetracked and started trying to find an end to the war.

Emu (Emu is just a legit Rainwing name): Energetic Rainwing who left the rainforest to help the other dragons to be happy :D! She was the one who got wxs to consider stopping the war.

Shadowsong (Nene): Timid Nightwing who spent most of her time hiding in Shadows. She didn't like living on the island, but also wasn't that eager to get to the mainland. Director was able to convince her to escape with him, by creating an enchanted statue, she can control, as her guard.

Director (Rui): Nightwing animus who built the tunnel between the volcano and rainforest. He frequently snuck through that tunnel to explore the jungle occasionally meeting up with Charming while at it. After a time he thought of running away from Nightwing island convincing Shadowsong to escape with him

Niigo

Siren (Kanade): Nightwing who hatched during a bloodmoon. Through that she gained, or more was cursed with, the ability to predict the deaths of dragons she encounters. Sadly Siren isn't aware that those are visions of a future about to happen, so she's convinced that her visions are malicious thoughts that bring horrid futures to innocent dragons. To try to avert these faites she sings about them at night, causing her to be known as the Siren by the local Seawing community. Siren lives on the island her deceased parents raised her on, niigo meet up there.

Jellyfish (Mafuyu): Seawing animus, that genuinely should explain most of it lmao. Being used as the royal animus, she felt a part of herself getting lost over time. Are the spells at fault or the incredibly toxic and manipulative situation she's in? Idk. She for some reason found solace in Sirens songs.

Inferno/Kite (Ena): Firescale Skywing who previously was used as Queen Chimeras (it's Teto btw) killing machine. She ran away, when Smoke picked the Arena as a punishment, for obvious "I don't want to kill my brother" reasons. She ended up living on Sirens island.

Charming (Mizuki): Animus Rainwing. They left the rainforest for multiple reasons, the main ones being an outcast for being trans and accidental unethical usage of magic. Charming mostly traveled around until she wound up mostly staying at Sirens island

whenever you play horror games like forgotten memories or the mimic, they will literally only play because you're playing. they're scared shitless even in the title screen. as the music intensities they're will hide behind you and you have to find the objective of the game for them. after this gaming session, i don't think you can even play rainbow friends with them...

very nice and respectful in the game. will help out other players and have fun, no matter what you're playing. you could even play meepcity and they would enjoy it. it's so wholesome. just make sure you don't let them give the win to someone else; you gotta be #1 in race around the world!

don't even WORRY about them giving a win to someone else, because they are COMPETITIVE. don't let their usual demeanor fool you, oh no. no matter what, they're going to show everyone to not join THEIR GAME. they only find out everyone's left when they see no one's name, besides yours. the last thing left in chat is someone saying "tryhard".

....doesn't know how to move around. it was chaos even trying to play a co-op game. don't even get me started on trying to play double trouble.

theyre also the definition of a ‘ its only okay when i do it ‘ person. like , for example , if you played a +4 card , they’d mockingly let out a loud whine for giggles. but if they have a +4 or +2 too , get ready to see a mischievous grin paint their face. theyd take this as a competition they have to win.

i feel like theyd trick you with their facial expressions and actions. lets say , you switch the color to one they have lots of cards of. theyd let out a surprised gasp while laying down on you a reverse card, two skip cards and a +4 card. 

half of it , they’re determined to win. if theyre feeling nice tho , mizuki will play easy for you. that lasts the total of maximum 2 rounds tho , they have a streak to maintain.

most of the time , you cant win for your dear life. if you do get lucky tho , they will jokingly get upset , but is actually pleasantly surprised! guess their talent sticked off to you.

i kind of imagine mizuki remaking the whole decks design when bored. like your own version of uno. the jirai keified version. like those making [thing] coquette.

about how frequently you’ll play tho? i think atleast once a month. even more , if you ask. they mostly play whenever theyre feeling sad tho , one game of uno with you lifts their spirits up and boosts their ego for the day higher than an americans appetite.

but shes not incapable of not understanding the rules , either. she’d take a strategy and maximum beat you 3 times. maximum. i feel like you’d be the better one.

i feel like you wouldnt play so frequently , only when you so happen to be over while kanades taking a break from composing. so things wouldnt get awkward , you always bring a card deck of uno with you.

if your relationship is established after the ‘ saying goodbye to my masked self ‘ event , mafuyu would oftenly join your game by kanades invitation. if youre lucky enough to catch honami unoccupied , dont be shy to call her too! the more the merrier.

even so , she does not care about the winner at all. kanades just happy to spend some quality time with you, even if its over uno. which leads me to think you’d let her win on purpose sometimes. her eyes sparkle a bit whenever she does get the victory over you , it is a scenery you cannot get enough of.

Hehehe, I've been working on a little something something with my sister. We really like the Dead Boy Detectives and thought about a prsk au. Don't need to know anything about the show/comics, we're just using a loose interpretation of the world

Dead Horse Detectives - Few hundred years ago, because Saki didn't have the help of modern medicine, she ended up in the hospital where she eventually died. During this time, Tsukasa was looking for ways to help her, so he started looking into more occult ways to help. He ended up accidentally being sacrificed to hell when he came across some people messing around. While he was in hell, Saki's spirit couldn't rest without figuring out what happened to him. Tsukasa eventually finds a way out, and reunites with Saki and they decide to stick around and help other ghosts solve their cases so they can move on. Touya ends up joining them much later. He was originally a crow familiar. The Tenmas mess with his original owner during one of their cases so he was turned into a human and told to get closer to them. The three of them were all pretty oblivious to his 'manipulations' and he kind of just never left. Tsukasa and Saki just end up adopting him so he now helps them out with their cases

Emu visits their office one day with concerns about a friend of hers. She knows Mafuyu usually keeps to herself so it comes as a bit of a surprise when she starts acting out a little. When Saki and Tsukasa take her case, they're surprised to learn that Mafuyu is still alive but she can see them because she's a psychic. They also learn that Mizuki is the demon who possessed her to learn about what it would be like in a different body. Mafuyu allows Mizuki to stay as long as Mafuyu can go back to living her life for the most part

Mafuyu receives a vision after she accidentally touches some letters. She ends up leading the Tenmas to Kohane who's starting to believe she's haunted. Minori is an old jewelry sprite being corrupted by her age and has latched onto Kohane. Mafuyu and the Tenmas help them out and Minori decides to stick around Kohane

We got Shiho as the Crowned Canine (cat king). Saki volunteers to take her curse for a little while after they intruded upon her land, but Shiho eventually lets her go (and because Tsukasa hurts her ears). Together, Akito and Ena run a magic shop. They were originally part of Shiho's territory, but were turned human so now they sell the wares they find

Airi is the bookkeeper of every book written or thought of. She is a close confidant of Dream and works closely with her messenger, Shizuku. While Shizuku is meant to know her way between realms and people, she needs to call upon Airi for navigation Honami works under Death and is put in charge of the Tenma case. Tsukasa is meant to be in hell and Saki is meant to move on, so she is charge with sticking with them to make sure both their spirits move on

A few hundred years ago, Ichika claimed she wouldn't die as long as there was music to be heard. Death and Dream heard her words and now have an ongoing bet to see how long Ichika can last. Every one hundred years, she meets with Dream to play her music. She now runs an inn where the Tenmas sometimes stop to meet clients. Haruka and An have their own hunting business for the living. They attempt to take care of unruly spirits and creatures to keep their town safe. They were the ones to help Ichika ward her inn to make it a neutral space

Kanade grew up knowing about the supernatural, but kept herself situated away from it. After the collapse of her father, she brings herself into the world to find the Tenmas and ask if they know how to break the curse she knows she placed on him. A minor god of calamity, Rui wanders the world to see if he can be something else. He's hidden away his shrine so the people who know about him don't pray for more destruction He occasionally meets with Nene, an abnormally long lived human. She claims she 'lost' her heart, but a pulse is typically heard around Emu when she's quiet. People claim she's mad when they hear her mumbling to herself

Hello! I'm so sorry I couldn't answer this sooner, I'm glad we're finally mutuals! I've heard many great things about you, it's a true honour!

Your wish is my command, I'll make sure my word smithing skills improve and develop in time :D

I heard you wanted me to specify more on the order of the characters in units, so I'll try to explain that a little bit!

Although I do consider the order of the units characters is exclusively chronological and these are just some instances of coincidence, I'm more than glad to explain:

The third characters in every unit are as follows: Honami, Airi, Akito, Nene and Ena. Their stories seem to gravitate towards validation.

The clear examples of this are the Shinonomes and Airi. Both Akito and Ena share a need to overcome obstacles on a treacherous path, they both suffer greatly over "not being enough" or "getting left behind by their teammates".

Airi is in a similar situation where she was left behind by other idols after she became a variety show idol. She quit the group after being called "average" (not good enough) by the manager.

Honami only ever wanted to not be hated by her peers. Chasing that validation, that "you're good enough", she basically erased her own wishes in order to be accepted.

And Nene is a little difficult, but let's remember she also struggles with self worth and could barely sing on a stage a year ago. She's also afraid she won't be good enough, she's also chasing validation and praise to become like her mentor.

The fourth characters in every unit (Rui and Toya being also the last ones to join in the main story) are as follows: Shiho, Shizuku, Toya, Rui and Mizuki. The theme that I believe connects them best is... Connection. Or, alternatively, reconnection.

Mizuki and Rui are quick to understand: they both have a past full of abandonment and ostracism. They eventually learn to reconnect with their unit and heal over time as well. They're also very tightly knit with the theme of understanding.

Toya's isn't as much about vbs as it is about music in general. Toya had a musical past outside of vbs, but his connection with music was twisted, it brought him pain. His theme isn't even "connection" as much as "reconnection", because Toya grows to love and cherish music again.

Shizuku also plays on this, she's been in an idol group prior to mmj, but she never connected with her teammates the way she did with mmj. Now, she isn't hated or despised anymore, she's not "just a pretty face" — she's herself, she's Shizuku, and Shizuku is the one to create bonds and connects.

And Shiho's is a story of loneliness too. Shiho is guilty for the Leoneed disbandment in the first place, and she almost makes them disband again in Resonating With You, too. She has a very hard time forging bonds with people and comes off as a loner, but she grows past that. She's still Shiho, of course, but she starts letting people in, embracing them, connecting with them.

If this theme doesn't suit your ocs in particular, the fourth characters also have a strong theme of "self" or "loneliness" to them! But that's more of a universal thing, i wouldn't dwell on it.

Put Your Heart Into It! Dream Stage 4th Anniversary Event Story Summary

TL;DR: All of the high schools in the Shibuya area decided to put on a joint cultural festival together. After a recommendation from her homeroom teacher, Nene decides to sign up for the executive committee in charge of planning. There, when the possibility of having a stage set aside for those who want to perform something but aren't a part of a club is proposed, Nene suggests putting on a musical. The others support its versatility, and elect Nene as project leader.

Though the task is grand, Nene has many sources of support. Tsukasa, Emu, and Rui help her develop the script and act/direct in the performance. Airi, who Nene ran into on the street, offered to be a performer and directly ask others who might be interested. Along with Airi, An and Ichika also volunteer to act. In addition to her role as the musical lead and acting team leader, Nene also helped check in with the various other teams. Shizuku and Mizuki help create costumes, Ena, Honami, and Emu help with set design, Ichika, Toya, and Saki compose music, and Shiho leads the band performance. Though they aren't officially part of the musical, Minori, Haruka, Kohane, Akito, Kanade, and Mafuyu all show their support in various ways as well.

The play they all performed was about a young, sheltered girl discovering a love of music from the passionate and energetic townspeople. Through their interactions, she develops a dream of making others smile through music. Though her family tries to stop her, with the support of her friends and her own determination, she's able to follow the life she desires.

The performance goes wonderfully. Nene is thankful for all the help everyone had given her, making this show a special one to her. The others, in turn, are all grateful for Nene's dedicated leadership and feedback.

Chapter 1: Nene sits through a homeroom lecture. She has a free evening, so she was planning on practicing singing after school to prepare for her time at the Morinomiya Opera troupe. Her homeroom teacher announces a joint cultural festival between all the high schools in Shibuya, and asks for committee members to help plan it. After class, the teacher asks Nene if she'd be interested in signing up for a position after her success as director for the class film. Though she's initially hesitant, she wants to go forth with a positive attitude and signs up.

Chapter 2: Nene arrives at the meeting spot for the committee. She's overwhelmed by the number of people, but after introducing herself, realizes there's nothing to fear.

Since much of the event will take place on stages, Nene signs up to be a stagehand. They will be in charge of assisting others, as well as a special stage for those who aren't in a club but want to participate, too. They want it to be something that anybody, regardless of skill, can participate in, but are struggling to come up with an idea. Nene proposes a musical.

She discusses the idea with Wonderlands x Showtime in the SEKAI. Everyone seems excited, especially since Nene was elected leader of the musical. The rest of her troupe is going to help her out, too. Together, they come up with a play about someone reaching for their dreams after meeting a wide array of musicians from different genres.

Chapter 3: While walking home sometime after, Nene runs into Airi. She'd noticed Nene spacing out, and asks what's up. After hearing Nene's struggles to find people, Airi offers to directly ask some people she knows if they would be interested. Nene also nervously asks if Airi would perform, too. She happily accepts.

Nene asks An and Akito if they'd join. An accepts the actor position, but Akito just wants to help set up on the day. When Nene asks about a composer, they offer Toya. She goes to his class to ask. Mizuki overhears them talking, and offers to make costumes for the performance, too. Nene's surprised, but happy, about how many people have offered their help.

Chapter 4: An, Toya, Mizuki, Airi, Shizuku, Emu, and Ena, as well as many others, have all ended up joining the team in various capacities. Nene leads a briefing on their assignments, and the teams get underway. Leo/need approach her to chat, all involved in the play in some way as well. Ichika is acting, Saki is composing, Honami is on art, and Shiho is playing music. Airi and Shizuku approach to say hi, too. Shizuku is helping with costumes. Emu and Emu came, too. Nene thanks them all for their help once more.

Chapter 5: Nene introduces herself to the acting team, which she's directly in charge of. Wonderlands x Showtime are helping her out, too. Nene cuts off Tsukasa's self-introduction before explaining the plot of the show. A sheltered girl, Ruru, is drawn to town by a song. After sneaking out and learning to sing from a variety of people, she develops a dream to make people smile through songs. However, when her family learns of this, they force her to back into her old life. The friends she made along the way sing to give her the confidence to follow her own path.

Since most of the cast is inexperienced, Rui wants to cast them based on their personal experiences. Ichika introduces herself as a vocalist who wants to connect others through song, An as someone who wants to conquer the world with her friends, and Airi as an idol who delivers hope. Even though Nene was just going to take a remaining role, the others want to hear her introdutcion too. She introduces herself as a musical actor who wants to make people smile all over the world. She's embarrassed by her dream of singing on Broadway, but the others think its perfect for her.

Rui offers the leading role to Nene. Everyone else agrees she's the perfect fit. Nene accepts the role.

Chapter 6: Saki, Toya, and Ichika work together to compose the music for the show. Though writing in so many different styles will be difficult, they're also excited.

Toya asks for an opinion on his draft. They all love it, though Nene feels as is something is missing. Toya asks for more on the protagonist. Nene describes her longing for the outside, but fear of the unknown. Toya tweaks it, and they all love it even more. Saki and Ichika ask for more advice on the characters, too.

Toya takes his song back to SEKAI for the others to listen too. They all think the song is awesome, and Kohane can't wait for An to sing it. Meanwhile, Ichika and Saki ran into Kanade and Mafuyu at a diner, so they showed them their songs. They both like them but after Ichika's insistence, get some advice for tweaking them.

Chapter 7: Shiho helps lead the musical performers. She's strict, but intentional and detailed. Nene came in to check on them, so Shiho asks for advice on what to best express. Through her insight, they create a exciting, bouncy sound. One of the other musicians calls out Shiho for her particularity, but Shiho defends it as a rare opportunity with no regrets.

Ena helps lead the art team. She drew an outline for the backdrop, while Emu, Honami, and the others help paint it in. Ena notices Honami's nervousness and triees to help her relax. Nene comes by to check their progress, impressed by the scene Ena created. She's inspired by Nene's words to create an even more colorful, musical backdrop. Ena, Honami, and Emu excitedly work together.

Mizuki and Shizuku help with the costuming. One of the classmates is super excited to be making "the director's" (Nene's) costume. When Nene arrives to check in, she excitedly gets her to go try it on. Meanwhile, another student asks Mizuki for help.

Chapter 8: Nene helps coach Airi, An, and Ichika with their acting. Minori, Haruka, and Kohane stop by to bring snacks and take some promotional photos. While the others eat, Haruka and Minori pull Airi aside to chat with Miku and KAITO in secret. They are excited to watch some of their practice (in secret).

The day before the performance, Nene puts in some extra solo practice in the SEKAI. She wants this show to go well since all the work her friends had put in had made this show very special to her. MEIKO and Luka are excited to come watch.

Chapter 9: The day of the show arrives. Most of the students are nervous for their first performance, so Airi and the others deliver an inspiring speech. The characters that are not performing are all excitedly waiting in the audience.

The show goes wonderfully. The performance goes on without a hitch, and everyone who contributed was proud of their final results.

Chapter 10: After the performance, Nene thanks the others for their help with the project. The others praise Nene for her hard work and determination for making it all happen- without her dedication and insight, the play would not have been nearly as successful. Nene smiles, proud of what she's been able to accomplish.

So!! As some of you may be aware.. I love pjsk. In case you didn't know, I love pjsk. I also love pjo and hoo. And last night I when I should've been sleep, I was fucking PUNCHED by both hyperfixations at the same time and then I started wondering what it'd be like if pjsk characters were demigods and/or Hunters of Artemis. This is that post. Feel free to ignore, I just need to infodump lmao

Mafuyu is a daughter of Jupiter. Jupiter's children are often set unrealistically high expectations, which causes them to be terrified of failure and slowly crumble under the stress. This can be seen with Jason during his time as praetor, on the Argo II, etc. In Mafuyu's case, her mother and the majority of her peers all expect her to excel in everything she does. Do you see where I'm going with this. Yeah okay. Anyway she's specifically a child of Jupiter and not Zeus because the gods are stricter in their Roman aspects and Mafuyu was raised by a strict parent. Also I think she'd either be a praetor or join the Hunters of Artemis.

Airi and Mizuki could both very much be children of Aphrodite. Airi because her whole "the most important thing in an idol is the heart" thing breaks so many Aphrodite kid stereotypes and I love it. She would so teach others that there's more to Aphrodite than being a toxic person (cough cough Drew cough Cheerful*Days) and I love her for that. Mizuki is here because they have trouble expressing themself freely and finding out that Aphrodite is their mother could help them figure stuff out?? Maybe?? Idk man. Also TRANS APHRODITE KID LETS GO!!! I think that they can both charmspeak but choose not to unless like their fucking lives depend on it.

Shiho is a child of Hades. Hades' kids are shunned and often misunderstood, which reminds me of how Shiho is mischaracterized in the fandom a lot. Also the way she acts reminds me of Nico. "I'm fine on my own" NO YOU'RE NOT!!!

Tsukasa, Saki, Toya and Kanade are all children of Apollo. Do I even have to explain for Tsukasa? He is the most theatre kid to ever exist, literally who else would be his godly parent???? Toya would be the most unconventional son of Apollo ever. Imagine him being like "no dad fuck you and your instruments im gonna be a street musician" and Apollo's just like "yeah go piss girl idc music is music" it's so funny to me omg. Kanade's whole self-sacrifice complex + composer thing?? She is THE daughter of Apollo (sorry Kayla). I feel like Toya would be a praetor if Roman Apollo was his dad but idk just a hunch. Toya could also be a child of Jupiter for similar reasons as Mafuyu. Kanade is literally Will Solace if he was musically gifted (Will I'm joking ily). Saki is here because I didn't know where else to put her and I'd feel bad if I separated the Tenma siblings.

Ena is a daughter of Ares. I can't quite explain this one, but Ena wanting her dad's approval of her being an artist reminds me of Clarisse a lot for some reason?? She could also be a child of Apollo but I already put four characters there sooooooo yeah

Rui the most son of Hephaestus EVER. "I'm not good with organic life forms" is such a Rui line oml. The automatons?? The mechanic shit?? ROBO-NENE. Do you see my vision. I want Rui and Leo to be friends so bad augh.

Nene could be a daughter of Poseidon because she has mermaid imagery, aside from that idk.

I think Minori could be a daughter of Iris since she's underrated (similar to how Iris is underappreciated/a minor goddess) and Minori + Iris both strongly believe in hope.

Besides Mafuyu, I think Honami and Shizuku could be Hunters of Artemis. As I'm typing this, I just realised that the april fools Meru trio are all Hunters asdfghgfdghj

Y'all had to have know this was coming: we play with the NPCs.

Everything is literally the same (visually), the VAs just switch who they play.

This is another obvious one: Sekai Swap

Again everything is (roughly) the same (visually), but the siblings have switched roles. So: Tsukasa is the one who ended up in the hospital and Saki is the one who forgot why she decided to pursue her dreams (in this case it was becoming a pianist). Shiho is the one who was part of a group before joining her current one (Leo/need), who was assigned a role and got bullied for things she couldn't control, and Shizuku's the one who wants to go pro (as an idol of course), so she finds jobs that could help with that (honestly the Hinomoris are giving me the hardest time to figure out a good swap for). Ena is the one who pushes herself too much and compares herself to her friends, while Akito is the one who seeks validation for his singing and gets disappointed when people prefer his selfies and OOTD posts over his singing ones.

The School Sekai, Stage Sekai, and Street Sekai are all created by one person (personal vote goes towards: Saki, Minori, and An, I will also accept Toya because I honestly think that'd be fucking hilarious), the Wonderland Sekai and the Empty Sekai are both created by a group.

Personality swap but the characters keep their....quirks (? I don't know what else to call it). Like, Tsukasa could have Kanade's personality but he'd still be loud as fuck. Ena could have Saki's but still be a bitch (I say that affectionately). Etc., etc.

...we need more kid designs and thus kid 2d models, but SEKAIs were created when they were kids. Saki would visit the School Sekai whenever she was out of the hospital but still unable to see her friends. Minori got to meet Haruka, Airi and Shizuku earlier and they all decided to become idols together. An and Akito are guiding these two, scared, lost, kids around the Street Sekai and introducing them to street music earlier. Tsukasa and Mafuyu are both the only ones who start off alone. Tsukasa goes into the Wonderland Sekai whenever Saki is at the hospital and their parents stay with her. He doesn't like being alone, so the Sekai brings him comfort and it was hard for him to accept that someone else could enter his Sekai. Mafuyu would go to the Empty Sekai to find comfort in Miku. She's a lot more like Len, hiding behind Miku, shy, absolute baby. She also has a hard time accepting others can enter her Sekai. For those two, Sekai was a safe haven, a place to ease themselves and find comfort. So when other people start showing up (not the VS), they're upset.

...this is a sign I've read too many groupchat fanfics: they're all part of a Nightcord (because I'm pretty sure we've all agreed Nightcord = Discord) group chat and all the area conversations are about shit that has been brought up in the chat. Bonus points if all of the convos are mixed units. Extra bonus points if they have no idea who started it in the first place.

I'd love a subtle fuckery where, again, everything is pretty much the same, but certain characters have had their colors swapped. Tsukasa and Saki, Shiho and Nene, Minori and Honami, Shizuku and Kanade...

Unit Shuffle 2: Electric Boogaloo

There's a world where rather than Tsukasa saving Toya, Toya saves Tsukasa. Where Kohane is the one who chooses An as her partner. Where Airi, Haruka and Shizuku are the ones who put on a show for Minori and pull her up on stage in their Sekai because they want her to see as the lights become a pale peachy/orange color for her. Where Mafuyu is the one doing the saving and not being saved.

Different childhood friends. That's it. Potentially could go along with number 10.

Once again, visually, everything is the same, but the last names are all over the place. Meet the Kamishiros: Ichika and Ena. Oh, the Aoyagis? You mean Aoyagi Shiho, Aoyagi Emu and Aoyagi Rui? It's strange how Saki Hinomori and Tsukasa Yoisaki look so alike.

Being online was one of the only things Saki could really do while she was in the hospital. With the time she had, and whatever strength she could muster, she worked on writing songs.

Ichika, too, was always online, and met Saki quite early into both of their internet days. They seemed to click almost instantly, and worked on that music together, often inspired by Virtual Singers.

Honami joined after connecting with the music they were making, offering the few things she thought she could do to aid them. She didn’t really have many true friends like them, even if they were only online.

As for Shiho, she may have been the last to join, but she was arguably the most serious about the music. She could spend all of her time on it, since her classmates didn’t really like her.

Even though they all had some things they were keeping to themselves, they worked together to make music that was a little selfish- it helped them feel better about their own situations.
