Slowly processing your harvest outside on a beautiful sunny day and listening to chill music is probably one of my favourite sensations, all I was missing was a glass of really cold iced tea. It reminded me why I chose to live a slower and simpler life. Such a feel-good moment. Also, it's very validating to find more use for my d.i.y. crap.

Stop using Hannah Neeleman (Ballerina Farm) as an excuse to claim all housewives are miserable.

Yes, Hannah is in a horrible situation. What you are missing here is that SHE IS IN A CULT. She is LITERALLY in a cult. Her being harassed for 6 months and forced into that lifestyle is insanely different than women who willingly choose it on their own.

I 100% think Hannah deserves freedom from that relationship. But the problem in that relationship is not that she’s a housewife or a stay at home mom.

It’s that she and her husband are in an actual cult. Their values are not traditional. They were created by a cult.

Hannah is not a tradwife. Nothing about their situation is traditional. Her husband is a billionaire. She has millions of followers on social media. She competes in beauty pageants. She’s not a tradwife.

The problem is that they’re in a cult.

It is interesting to see a slight pivot in the ideal conservative “lifestyle” that they promote.

For a while American conservatism was associated with the middle class, suburban, small nuclear family lifestyle that arose post WW2. Now they seem to be pivoting even further from the modern urban centers and idealizing a large family, rural, “family farm” lifestyle.

Just a random thing I have noticed 🤷🏼‍♀️

Conservatives politicians have definitely allied with big tech, but the advancement in technology seems to be for the rich people only.
