in reference to my last reblog on how good you are at cooking - I have to say this:

It was and still is such a nice experience to live on my own and learn to cook for myself because my stepdad would not allow me to do anything in the kitchen aside from washing and drying dishes.

He hated the "messes" I'd leave behind, when it was pretty much just the normal amount of tools that get messy from any cooking process.

Once I moved out though? Well, teaching myself even basic recipes was hard, not gonna lie. It was a lot of trial and error, some dishes turning out tasting off or/and having the wrong kind of texture for me - but once you find the way to make it taste right for you? Heaven.

I'd often ask myself "Do I actually hate this dish/vegetable or do I just not like how my stepdad cooks it?", which then lead to me doing some cooking experiments.

Shout-out to cauliflower that I absolutely adore now, especially with a pinch of nutmeg, holandaise sauce and (if I feel like putting it in the oven) a bit of cheese on top.

What is the weirdest food combination you enjoy?

If I had to choose one, I’d say bread+ ANY SAUCE, and I mean anything, as long as I have bread to dip it in

except hollandaise I’m picky with holandaise and garlic mayo

HE WAS! at THE CON there was one spidey cosplayer and when me and them spotted each other from across the hall (while i was dressed as gwen) we literally ran and jumped into each others arms hahah (and i cant remember why we didnt hang out for the rest of the day we should have)

but like at every big normal con every spidey cosplayer was like an actual grown man haha

Finally tried the just egg crap cuz it was on sale...my verdict is it’s fun and novelty but would not buy full price...tofu is cheaper and healthier and scrambles nicely. If I could make a vegan eggs benny that would be a different story tho. This might be good for holandaise?
