As if contemplating what to watch on TV, [REDACTED] glanced down at the sight in front of him.

Bound in an old, wooden chair, somebody's agonized cries for help went unanswered, muffled by the torn, bloodied knot of fabric tied over their mouth. They'd been nothing but incomprehensible since the first nail was painstakingly pried from their finger.

The bigger piece of torn cloth was bundled in their lap. Its folds held a steadily growing pile of teeth and fingernails. Some were whole, but most were in pieces from the messier extractions.

Normally, the dark haired man would have more satisfying tools at his disposal for the victim. But he didn't have the chance to run home, especially when a Halloween date with you was right around the corner. After a quick stop at a hardware store, today's (un)lucky winner got dragged into the nearest abandoned building.

Only a couple hours ago, hardly ten minutes after the time you normally took your lunch break, this piece of work had approached you. 

Of course, nothing came of it. And you told your beloved partner about the unwelcome interaction right away. Between the usual chatter and flirting once you video called him for lunch, you mentioned it in an offhand comment, a wrinkle in your forehead to boot.

Then you'd gone right back to talking about the holiday, and how excited you were for the party that night. [REDACTED] didn't move on so quickly.

Just as he leaned down, a metal nail poised over the shitstain's knee and a hammer in hand, his phone rang. The items clattered against the floor as he stood and hurried to yank it from his pocket.

The bound and gagged, soon-to-be-done-for stranger looked surprised, but oddly grateful for the brief escape from further torment.

Before he could even offer a greeting, you spoke.

"Hiii! I'm already finished making treat bags at the library. Do you wanna meet me at your apartment for a little while before the party? I'm headed there now."

"I'd love to, but M'not exactly free," [REDACTED] managed to answer calmly despite the whirlwind you lured his heart into. He kept his gaze on the wide eyed stranger in front of him, wondering if they'd test their luck. 

Surprisingly, they did their best to stay quiet, the over-dramatic, obnoxious sobs from earlier slowly subsiding into sniffles. He smugly smiled and turned, walking a few steps away. Even with their impending demise, he didn't want to share your voice with anyone.

"Oh," you said. "That's okay." The notable disappointment to your words pained him, and he had to throw a glare over his shoulder at his victim. 

It was their fault that he would be missing out on extra time with you. Why didn't they just mind their business, instead of trying to chat you up while waiting in line?

But, [REDACTED] shared some of the blame. He'd begrudgingly skipped the usual lunch break visit at your insistence, since you wanted to surprise him with the matching costumes you were picking up.

"So what are you doing then?" you asked, then passed right over the topic. "Never mind. It's probably work, right?"

"... Yeah. Work," he answered. Admittedly, he was thankful you decided to stop asking questions on your own. And that you didn't remember he normally worked from home. "M'sorry, love."

You hummed in thought. "No worries. Programming hours sure are all over the place. I guess they kinda have to be, with the kind of money you make though." There was a sudden, loud commotion in the background and you softly cursed.

"Angel?" your boyfriend worriedly called out.

"I'm fine! My stupid tail just got caught in the — I mean… I'm fine!!"

The hacker smiled in relief, already excited for the costumes you bought. He didn't trail you or sneak a peek at the store's cameras for once, but he did notice the bright red horns poking out of the shopping bag behind you while you ate. You must've changed into yours before you left. An angel and a demon — only you wanted him to be the angel. 

[REDACTED] laughed, almost forgetting the person tied up behind him until they weakly groaned in agony. His smile immediately turned to a frown; he had to hang up too soon for his liking.

He was apologetic as could be. "I won't be able to leave for a while, but I'll make sure to call you the second I'm done."

"You always do," you teased him. "I can't wait to see the look on your face once I give you your costume."

He instantly took the bait, as if he didn't already know. "Really? Why don't y'give me a hint?"

"Hmm… It's… uhh, your favorite thing in the world?"

Ah, that one was too obvious. Still, he wanted to pretend a little longer. The delighted look on your face was sure to be worth the wait. "I'll work hard t'figure it out before I get home."

Your almost impish laughter made his heart skip a beat. "See you soon, Ren."

The phone beeped and the screen went black, taking his good mood away.

With a faint sigh and a roll of his eyes, the dark haired man reached for the sledgehammer leaning against an upturned table. It weighed lighter in his hands than the one he was used to, but it'd do the job just fine. 

He turned back towards the stranger, bruised, battered and much too weak to do anything but stare up at their tormentor. 

All the joy in [REDACTED]'s demeanor was gone, replaced with commonplace boredom as he slung the hammer over one shoulder. "Guess y'kept quiet enough, so I'll make this quick."

🍆 - Do they have a favourite form of affection, physical or otherwise?

Laurence - he's an acts of service guy in terms of *giving*, but he's a secret sucker for physical touch; play with his hair, put a hand on his arm, hold his hand in public. He'll melt. It's been so long, since anyone thought him worthy enough to touch. Since anyone tried to get close enough.

Connor - he spends time with people. Does favours, sits in your kitchen, chats with you over the begonias or the tomatoes or the board of chess where he's lost four times in a row. Of course he loves you, he's been here for hours. He rarely says it, though. Not since...

Ella - all of them. If there is a way of loving something, she has done it, with all of the brightness and exuberance of a firework, and most of the brevity. For receiving, though, she likes words, real and concrete and true.

Or expensive chocolate, she'll take that too. It's why she put up with Laurence's rich boy antics so long.

🍪 - What is something that's sentimental to them?

Laurence - the bottle of whiskey his dad left him in the will, doomed to remain un-drunk, all things being well (things are never well). The photos of Ella he has in a locked drawer in his room. He knows where the key is. He pretends he doesn't. The love letter his first boyfriend wrote him, before he was brave enough to acknowledge what they were.

Connor - Ella's sunglasses. He'd found them in her room, along with her perfume, and her clothes, and a piece of gum stuck under the desk, that he hadn't eaten. No matter how tempting it was, just to have some part of her near him. They say gum stays in your digestive tract for seven years, you know? Wouldn't it be nice, to keep her for that much longer?

Ella - Sentiment is hard, when your job is murder and movement and the shifting sands of covert operation. But there was a video of her soundly beating Laurence while sparring, with Connor's half-tamed laugh in the background. It was blown up with her.

77. Do you have a favorite scene you’ve written from [Fanfic Name] story/chapter?

Hohoho. Yes I do. My favorite moment is the note Kaiba writes for himself as proof that none of this is a hallucination and he was actually there - he is on the other side of the trauma, so to speak; he survived to the end, he knows what kind of happy endings might be waiting for him, if he holds fast to his faith in a better future. And, despite being the Atem-Kaiba, he wants the other Seto to make his own choices - he directs the other Seto to Yuugi because Yuugi "knows someone he needs to meet" and functions as the entrypoint into a new world of relationships, rather than telling him he needs to meet Atem specifically (or Jounouchi, or Anzu, or anyone else.)

And this is a thing like, no one has commented on, but every time I think about it, I'm a little >:3c

Yuugi smiled at him. "You thought I was him," he said. "I know that look. Right?" "Yes," Seto confessed. "I... I can't find him."

Implying that Yuugi lives in a world where his beloved boyfriend Seto has a little ghost flitting in the corner of his eye... a little daydream, a vision, a mourning... it happens often enough that Yuugi is familiar with the look. Oopsies <3

I'm curious why Sam would accept such a dangerous role.

I assume there are other characters from the books, what are her interactions and relationships with then like if she meets then frequently? Does she spend more time in the human world or Wonderland?

✦ Howdy! So...

Sam accept this role not because she wanted to but she needed to. If she wanted to live peacefully and be freed from these Jabberwocky Creatures and keep the realms safe and balanced, she needed to accept that role. In the beginning she didnt agree on this, since she isnt ready for such responsibility and thinks she is not the best person for it (and she also thinks everyone on the Wonderland are completely bonkers, which she isnt so wrong about it). but slowly she started getting used by it and accept it, and kinda started to enjoying her magical and mad adventures between the two worlds a little bit. And of course she doesnt enjoy when she almost dies in a big fight between a jabberwocky creature--

✦ AND HOHOHO!! LETS TALK ABOUT THE OTHER CHARACTERS A LIL BIT!!!

In fact the "Into the Borderland" world got the characters from the books! And got other characters I've created because... oh, well, why not? :3c

Mostly of Sam interactions with the Wonderlandians are almost similar with the Alice interactions with the Wonderlandians in the original book. Almost. I cant explain it without showing some examples, so how about I say how it is like Sam's relationships with two Wonderlandians and their personalities?

Let's start with the first Wonderlandian she meet with, and surprisingly it wasnt the white rabbit. It was the Jack of Hearts!

♥️🃏 Jack of Hearts are a member of the royalty of hearts in the kingdom of hearts, call him Jack or just Hearts. He is kinda the adopted son of the Red Queen of Hearts (The Queen of Hearts got three children if we count with Jack).

Jack was the person who saved Sam from a Jabberwocky Creature attack after she crossed into the borderland (eyy) between the two worlds accidentally, so she didnt even had any idea of what was going on and who was him. He knew that Sam wasn't no ordinary human so he convinced her to go to the wonderland with him so she could figure out what was going on. He teached her how to survive around wonderland and understand it's rules, and yadda yadda. He is always helping her to fight and make plans against the creatures in a way to defeat them.

Jack's age is around Sam's age. They dont got much age difference, its probably about a year or 2. He is very proud of himself, full of self confidence but he is a gentleman and a really sweet dude with a good heart. He is kinda of the theatrical kid, always looking for the dramatic. Sam find him a little annoying and a few times reckless, but she doesnt mind much tho. They two are good friends.

A funny thing about him is that sometimes when he tries to look cool and then fails successfully, he tries to hide it by faking it all was a part of his plan and have a winning smirk on his face. He also got feelings towards Sam and acts a little romantic towards her but she doesnt even notice him.

Sam: "Oh my god! Did it hurt when you fell???"

Jack: "When I fell over my knees for you?"

Sam: ... *inhale.*

Sam: "... HEARTS YOU LITERALLY JUST FELL DOWNSTAIRS—"

And now... let's go to the most mysterious and smiling Wonderlandian, the Cheshire cat.

💜☁️ The Cheshire Cat is a normal looking cat, well, if you assume a pink cat with a big wide smile as a normal cat characteristics then, yes! He is a normal looking cat.

Remember that in wonderland you dont find Cheshire, he is the one who finds you.

When someone is lost in the Wonderland, the Cheshire cat appears and tries to "help" the lost person to find their path (Well he actually makes the person confused and in the end the own person finds their own way, so... I guess he helps a little bit???). And one time when Sam lost herself from Jack and doesnt know how to leave the woods, the cat showed up to her. They two had a interaction very similar to the books and the classic disney animation version of it. Sam doesn't seem to understand what is up with that weird cat but she tries to not to think too much about it, after that everytime Sam is feeling lonely or is "lost" (In both meanings, like losing herself from her path or not knowing what to do) Cheshire shows up to her and helps her in his own kinda way. He also randomly shows up just for funsies because he can.

Cheshire: "He went that way."

Sam: "...Who?"

Cheshire: "The white rabbit."

Sam: "Really?? Where did he go?"

Cheshire: "He who?"

Sam: "The white rabbit."

Cheshire: "What rabbit?"

We dont know much about his magical abilities or his real power, we only know he can change his form, teleport around and be invisible.

And that's all for a few relationships she got with the Wonderlandians, in the future I can tell about her relationship with others.

✦ And for the last and not least... I would say she stays in the two worlds like the same much? I guess so. :'3c

The Scroungers of Khorne

Khorne is the master of all aspects of battle, and can even navigate diplomatic angle. He has been stuck in the warp with his siblings for eons uncounted and knows well what make them leave off battle just as much as what would goad them into one. The Blood God is no schemer and deals primarily in what any god would desire; souls and territory. However, should they prove insufficient, the Blood God takes pains the keep secure items and artefacts of interest to his brothers. Should the happenings of the Great Game deem it beneficial, these assets can be used as bargaining chips to forge alliances or cease-fires.

To this end, the Scrapper-Hosts or Scrappers of Khorne scour the remains of battlefields both mortal and immortal, hunting down not skulls but the valuables that proper warriors of Khorne often step over on the bodies they pile up. They collect anything of value, anything that can be bargained for at a later time-- singular items to tempt Slaanesh, specimens to interest Nurgle, forbidden knowledge to draw the gaze of Tzeentch....

Since this task is one that ultimately strives for the making of peace, it is reviled by other Khornate Daemons and certaintly no place of honor. The Scrapper Daemons are commonly failed Lesser Daemons or Imps and Furies in Khorne’s service. Serving here is also a punishment for high ranking Daemons who have failed Khorne badly or often enough on the battlefield as well as traitors who are not outright destroyed; such daemons are branded with the insignia of the Scrapper Hosts for a long stretch of their existence before this mark heals over at last.

Scrapper-Hosts seldom see battle, having arrived after the killing has been well and truly done, but as Khornate Daemons, even the lowest of them, they have some martial ability, definitely more than an average mortal. It isn’t unknown at all for an Imp or a Chaos Fury to be elevated to the ranks of proper Lesser Daemons, though previous affiliation with the Scourers of Khorne often follows a daemon for a long stretch of it existence after the fact.

main verse zelda where it’s a tough pill to swallow but has accepted that she and hylia are the same and that she’s a goddess, while she refuses to run away from the past she wishes to make amends. that said she’s learned a lot living as a human and has learned to love both less and more because gods are difficult compared to humans :(

witch verse zelda where she denies being a mortal goddess much less daughter to grand witch hylia despite how similar they look to each other and their shared talents (as they are different ppl in this verse and their relationship is strained because hylia just yeeted her and gaepora adopts her) and just wants to believe she’s a witch with super high magic stats because talent™ and NOT because goddess powers. she too is just as compassionate and loving as main verse zel due to living among gaepora and getting along with some humans when not off to boarding school before shutting herself into her potions business after graduation. she likes humans even if sometimes she doesn’t understand why witch’s sense of humor is not funny to them (bats ruining your hair and giving light bites is funny to witches not so much for mortalkind) or some of their concepts.
