So, I made some progress on making a custom sprue of the hive scum heads. There are 10 heads per box, but only 5 are unique, so get to each. Next step will be making the silicone mold for these. That said I have more sprue of the malstrain genestealers bits.
Don't just what to recastw and copy every as is. I what to make some modifications with green stuff and make changes as I feel best for my work.
But this has been a fun treat to myself.
I can't wait to share more progress

The Inquisition should have dossiers full of xenos-tainted subversives who keep showing up at the heads of genestealer cult uprisings, even after confirmed Deathwatch redactions, spread across lightyears of space and centuries of time.
Where do they come from? Why is it always that one bald chick, or the three-armed gunslinger? Only the Hive Mind knows for sure.

Weiss's line "Not every story has a neat and tidy ending" is an absolutely buckwild thing to say to someone freaking out about how they don't know what the true goal of the people who just let loose a horde of grimm on a civilian city
Girl, this ain't about a messy ending to a fictional tale, this is about a terrorist attack wtf!!!

Au where Jayce kills Salo just because he fucking hated that guy and then he and Viktor talk about where he was the last seven-ish months and about their trauma and decide to keep the commune/cult life going for as long as they can with the Strict rule from Jayce to not “Heal” anyone else and also he tells Viktor he loves him and can’t imagine life without him and it would kill him if he died but he’s still sorry for taking that choice away from him and then they kiss

Idk what to even say about it tbh bc I don’t want to spoil it but. I didn’t see the twists coming at all and the ending is just. What the fuck. It was so creepy for the middle, especially in Caroline’s violent death vs the way everyone else in the camp acted. The book lulls you into a sense of security when Mars is, which only makes it more effective at the end. The snaps, the cover ups, and the way you can’t trust anyone, not even yourself… it was incredibly effective and very well done. I also thought the explorations of toxic masculinity and gender were well done (though I’m cis so what would I know) and blended with the other aspects of the book. And beyond the creepiness, the reveals were utterly terrifying. This was really well-done and will probably be living rent free in my brain for a little while.
I’d recommend this to fans of horror, especially if you’re looking for something in a summer setting, that has themes of gender, or that involves more psychological elements like memory changes. Maybe skip this one if you can’t really handle horror.

What if reader was afraid of spiders or snakes?
It could be angst or creepy or somewhere in between.
That is a good idea. If they were afraid in the Cult of the Arachne AU of spiders, that leads to Reader having heebie-jeebies around webs, any kind of spider, and feeling their skin crawl every time one of the platonic yans gets close. They're scared of the venom, of the teeth, of the eyes, of the legs, they're just scared of all things spider. It leads to Reader being wrapped up in silk and hugged until they either pass out or are injected with venom to calm them...
If Reader were afraid in the Temple of the Serpents AU of snakes, that leads Reader to screaming every time they see a snake, be it a viper or python or simple corn snake. They recoil in fear, try to crawl onto high ground, and start shivering. The fangs, the venom, their ling tails and scales, it freaks Reader out. Seeing the platonic yans as part snake freaks them out even more, to the point Reader is running as fast as they can- only to be coiled in their tails and put into a sleepy trance. Reader is forced to be around them, having one of the platonic yans always watching them, so Reader gets a little more used to snakes... but they still feel scared each time they see their teeth, or see their venom...
(Thank you for asking your question, @sugar-soda! Do you have any more questions or ideas for either of these two aus? Or even the Secrets of the Hive AU? I hope you have a good night/day, and get some sleep!)

The King of Many Crowns (Warhammer 40K Fanfic)
Tumblr media
Today I was truly blessed. On this, the day of our ascension, the hive city finally felt the wrath of the Hydra. Our Magii sang hymns and the Primus rallied the underminers to finally take this ball of filth called Ferrotrax for the Great Cult Hydraic.
We sprang, executing the governor by the hands of her own personal bodyguards, and rushed the streets with the tools they gave us so long ago. These tools, the tools we toiled with for years, the ones we mastered for this very day. To strike down the unfaithful in His name.
The uprising became the usual war of attrition, not unlike what we hear from other star systems. It was our brethren literally versus the world. Ferrotrax's army was still strong, but our Patriarch knew it was time. Even from the depths of his lair in sewers, he knew They would save us.
We were not alone.
The sky darkened, our voxes crackled and The Angels fell down upon the enemy like drop pods. But these weren't the oppressor's angels. No, they had our teeth, they had our claws, they had our drive. The Star Gods had arrived.
The battle raged on so many fronts, I was in a trench near our Mining camp when They came. Their ships splattered on the ground, opening up and spilling out army after army of our saviors. And then, out of the vessel, He emerged. I couldn't mistake him for anything else. I was in the presence of The King of Many Crowns. He ordered the armies to rush the gunline, and his subordinates as well as my brothers ran without flinching into the lasgun fire. I was compelled as well, overwhelmingly so, but I was just so transfixed to be on the same battlefield as such royalty! No larger than his peers, yet he commands such a Godlike aura. I bite my tongue as I write, for He is a God! The one who will save us, the one in all our hearts and minds, the one who will guide us across the cosmos. There I was, standing here, realizing how much of a privilege it is just to be on the same planet as someone such as He, when The King of Many Crowns turned His gaze. HE TURNED HIS GAZE TO ME.
HE SAW ME! BY THE STAR GODS, HE SAW ME! I WAS BLESSED AT THAT MOMENT. HE SAW ME. HE KNEW ME. HE WAS ME.
I am still shaking, for I know not what overcame me. The shock, the joy, the Holy Spirit of the void between worlds, no words can describe what brought me to do such actions. I do feel pity for the non-believers, for they did not live long in the Kings great light. They fell by my hands, my deeds witnessed by the gods themselves. Tonight I sleep under bolter fire and frag grenade blasts in the damp mines of Ferrotrax, and tonight I sleep sound.
I cannot wait to fight for Him again tomorrow.

This has been a quick short story/fanfic I made about some of the Warhammer 40k armies I have, specifically Tyranids and Genestealer Cults. I will probably show more of what I painted in the future, but until then, hope you Enjoy!

Found a YouTube video on 'aspie supremacy' and went 'oh, this must be about ableism perpetuated by disabled people with lower support needs, looks like a decent video to watch in the shower' and then proceeded to watch in horror as the presenter detailed new-agey 'indigo children' type beliefs which were unspeakably racist even just to think of

The new edition season of Necromunda takes the action to the genestealer-infested Under-Underdark Underhells of Hive Secundus - and what a hideous collection of xenos freaks are these!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Spyrer Orrus Hunters have received a similarly grotesque glow-up, trading in their classic strongman suits for more obviously off-world equipment requiring voluntary dismemberment to operate. I like the minor xenos vibe these new suits give off, but I don't think they're meant to be t'au tech anymore.
Tumblr media
And just in case you didn't already hate assembling Van Saar gangers, the new Tek Hunters look to be every bit as fiddly as the core kit and then some.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Meanwhile, the brood scum are... brood scum. Nothing really special, just new heads on the extant hive scum bodies. Good use of the range, especially as they already looked like Genestealer Cult neophytes minus the cult medallions.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A strong value proposition, overall - although the most interesting part of this preview, for me, is the promise of new Zone Mortalis ruins coming at a future date.

I’m clearly in the bargaining stage of grief but hear me out -
We, the audience are connecting to the perception filter.
That’s what those red sequences were, right?
Tumblr media
Ranboo’s mask is his perception filter, right?
And slime is blood when the filter turns off.
So when we saw Ranboo’s blood…we were still connected.
Yeah, there were glitches in the filter that we could easily see before and those didn’t happen at the end, but Showfall is sadistic.
Tumblr media
Despair is a good way of dampening autonomy, right?
We were still watching through a viewpoint chosen for us, trained to make a choice chosen for us during The Inauguration.
Tumblr media
Was the blood even real?
Are we next?

Alright, let me do one more thing before I go completely.
(He snaps his fingers and poets clothes are dried again)
You're welcome. Sorry for the rudeness. While I am a clone, I am currently in battle too. Hope this doesn't change anything between us bud.
"..ookay..?"
(They're... not gonna understand. Probably wouldn't even if they were sober.)
