Haha, maybe I'm a little late for Pride month, but I want to tell you something that has made me think lately.
Many people in the community consider Judy Garland a queer icon, myself included, I have found a safe space in who she was as a person and in her life story, among other celebrities who existed under that title, such as Julie Andrews, who gave us an impeccable presentation in Victor/Victoria, opening the way a little more to portray queer narrative in cinema. What I'm getting at, I'm so surprised that Dean and Jerry are not another of those icons by themselves, I understand that pseudo campaign that there was to "clean" Dean's image after his death, locking him in that box of a heterosexual family man , but it doesn't enter in my head the fact that, despite having an infinite number of true fans, this duo does not have more weight within the historical vindication of the community. Especially Jerry, there's my other point. The propaganda about Jerry's image was not as strict as Dean's, it never was, In some way or another his genius allowed him to flow within the parameters in Hollywood, as he could go from a visibly gay man (or queer in that case, never openly stated, but notoriously conceived as such) to a whole womanizer, he was that versatile, but he always maintained that spark that indicated to us that perhaps, he could go beyond, so I consider Jerry a queer icon, to whom we should give more presence, to him and Dean of course (because obviously their clear love story is to die for!! more people should research it because it is to melt in love) , during pride month.

Yesssss!!! Another hellspawn lover!!! Let's gooooo!!! 🩷🩷 I love your work. Anyway, what is your opinion on people often depicting Astarion as a bratty sub? Tbh, Astarion is a major switch. And even if someone is taller than him, I feel like he would still exert dominance somehow. Like I can see Astarion being super protective of Karlach despite her being physically stronger in every way.
HELLO PERSON WITH IMPECCABLE TASTE IN SHIPS. Teehee.
Well, I also am in the boat of Astarion (and Karlach, really) being vers (switches).
Despite my last drawing being the one where AA bends down for Karlach, it’s mostly because ascended is so haughty I wanna see him whimper.
I do think astarion would want to try and dominate Karlach often. Tbh, the power play between the two, the teasing, the sharp tongued back and forth… all of that screams of intimacy where they will dominate and submit at different points, in different ways. Even during the same night, things can turn around various times.
I also tend to imagine that “realistically” spawn Astarion would want to have certain levels of control during sex, in order to be able to engage in it without reviving trauma. And I totally see Karlach allowing him control as much and for as long as he wants/needs. And I also think that when he’s ready, Karlach would take the reigns and make him a babbling hot mess ❤️‍🔥
They both are greedy in different ways, ambitious in different ways but they do align in sex, where they both can be greedy and ambitious for each other/together.
For Astarion especially I see him reveling in having such a strong, intimidating and powerful being like Karlach reacting to his every touch. It would feed his ego and boost his confidence for sure. And other times, he’d let go and put his trust and pleasure in her hands. Absolutely versatile in my view!

Sun in Gemini Talon Abraxas
A Twin Flame: The Complete Guide to the Gemini Zodiac Sign
Gemini Dates Gemini is the third astrological sign in the zodiac. Under the tropical zodiac, the Sun usually transits this sign between May 21 and June 20. In 2024, the Gemini Dates are May 20 to June 19. The sign spans the 60th to 90th degree of celestial longitude.
Gemini Sign Gemini is an air sign ruled by the planet Mercury, the messenger god .The symbol of the Gemini zodiac sign is a pair of twins, represented by Castor and Pollux, who are twin half-brothers in Greek mythology, known together as the Dioscuri. As the myth goes, the twins had different fathers, and Pollux was the son of Zeus, the Greek king of the gods, who made Pollus immortal. When Castor, a mortal, was killed, his twin couldn’t bear to be parted and asked his father, Zeus, to intervene. Pollux was allowed to split his immortality with his twin, and they were transformed into the two brightest stars in the constellation Gemini.
Geminis are said to have a dual nature, as symbolized by twins. This sign rarely likes to do anything alone. The twins represent a dual-natured personality, sometimes contradictory but also adaptable, with the capability to view life from different angles. The sign of Gemini is thought to be very flexible and closely associated with the free-flowing exchange of ideas, communication, and interaction.
Gemini Personality If you are a Gemini, then you are the information junkies of the zodiac. You want to know everything that is going on, where it is happening, with whom, and why. You delight in sharing information about your friends and love putting thoughts, ideas, and people together. You always know the latest doings in your neighborhood. A sense of humor is important to you, and your rapier wit is impeccably engaged.
You are also the twins of the zodiac. Two separate and distinct personalities inhabit your world, and you move from one to the other with ease. Your social side is always switched on when you are around others, yet your private proclivities need to surface from time to time. Those closest to you can tell which individual is present currently. You shine at dinner parties as you know exactly what to say and how to say it. You love to flirt and are actually quite good at it. You are the social butterflies of the Zodiac.
Writing and speaking come naturally to you, and you can be found in the realm of journalism fairly often. You bore easily and prefer a job with many different pieces and parts. Doing the same thing all the time would put you emotionally over the edge. You need a job or career that allows you to do many different things. Working on an assembly line or doing anything else singularly boring will result in great dissatisfaction and stress. You don’t mind traveling as this gives you the opportunity to see many different views. Writing could be another good avenue for you as you can concentrate on a variety of topics and concerns. Whatever you choose, make sure that it will allow you to move around. A desk job will only do, if it gives your mind the ability to wander.
Patience is not your strong suit, as constant movement is your preferred companion. You are often exceptionally bright and will reach for the stars when given a chance. Life, for you, is a dance.
Yoga, meditation, or anything that helps to center you is a plus. Keeping an active calendar is important so as not to miss appointments and meetings. You like to keep learning, and your interests run far and wide. Some consider you to be quite a catch.
Gemini Personality Traits Strengths: Intelligent and quick-witted, Excellent communicator, Adaptable and versatile, Curious and open-minded, Sociable and entertaining
Weaknesses: Can be indecisive or scattered, May get bored easily, Prone to gossip or superficiality, Restless and impatient, Can be critical or insensitive
Gemini Likes: Engaging in stimulating conversations, Learning new things and expanding their knowledge, Spending time with friends and loved ones, Sharing ideas and experiences, Traveling and exploring new places
Gemini Dislikes: Routine and boredom, Feeling intellectually stagnant, Deep emotional conversations, Being alone for too long, Lack of mental stimulation
Gemini Astronomy Charted by the ancient Greeks, Gemini has a long history in astronomy. It serves as a marker for the summer solstice due to its position on the ecliptic, the Sun’s yearly path. Located in the Northern Hemisphere, Gemini is best seen during summer nights. While not the brightest constellation, it’s easy to find with a little guidance.
Look for two bright stars, Castor and Pollux, which form a basic head-to-toe stick figure outline. Imagine connecting the stars with lines to create two stick figures standing side-by-side. Gemini is located between the much brighter constellations Leo and Orion.

since i decided i wanted to make Reed a butch lesbian, because not enough butches, i started thinking about Doom, even though this is a Spider-Man AU and Doom probably won't even show up, but, you know, I got carried away by a wave of lesbianism and wanting to draw fancy dresses
(crops below the readmore cause this pic ended up a big sketch dump)
I wanted Doom to be... like....... kind of glamorous but also versatile... it seemed like the right choice since regular doom is himself very vain etc. so i thought she ought to also be vain and gorgeous, and vary the way she dresses between things like tailored three piece suits with long coats, and evening gowns, and of course the armor.
adding the pic again just to refresh—
Tumblr media Tumblr media
it was interesting to think about how a female doom might present herself differently, and take influence from various comics and other sources (thinking about the gold mask dr. doom wore in a specific comic for example). The one eye thing just kind of occurred to me while I was drawing and I decided to run with it—one thing was for sure though, i wanted her to be stacked. big tits and big biceps. i figured with her face all fucked up she might still want to draw attention to her impeccable cleavage also so i put some gold glitter on her tits in that velvet gown.
obviously the armor is exactly the same as male doom cause, well, idk if you know this, but large round breastplates fit boobs also.
i think that doom being a lesbian would really make the stuff with valeria's namesake/doom's first love extra crazy though like... god... i'm thinking about it...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
anyway a little bit of doomreed, who am i to say no to bitter gay exes—and a college photo of the trio. reed is very tall, and ben and victoria are... well i guess victoria counts as slightly tall and ben counts as average. but next to tall lanky butch reed they both look short. i was trying to channel a very specific kind of "photos of butch lesbians from the 80s and 90s" vibe for Reed with the short broad tie and the high waisted slacks and men's haircut, and i think i got that. ben looks kind of generic but it's like. one of those things. it's jeans and a t-shirt, that shit has looked the same for like 50 years. maybe i should've tucked his shirt into his jeans or something, higher waist... lol
Tumblr media
obv posted this pic higher up but i was thinking about clothes and how to differentiate reed from the other menswear-heavy characters (like peter, and octavius) and thinking about some outfits i've seen reed actually wear in comics, and aside from the F4 costume, which i'd imagine reed wears the most often—for regular clothes the kind of slouchy casual, slightly outdated look seemed like it was just the right style... like she probably wears ties sometimes still but mostly only if she's gotta go to something formal, you know?
and as you can see, sue is 5'6"
Tumblr media
anyway i knew for sure i wanted Reed to be very masculine, a very specific kind of butch. basically taking reed's handsome DILF/absent-minded professor aura and transposing that onto a lesbian who still calls herself "Mr."
basically she looks exactly the same but with a slight modification to her figure. lmao. she's the kind of butch who gets asked if she's a man or a woman in public a lot. well. not anymore i guess, if the fantastic four are celebrities (though maybe in a weirder more invasive way...)
anyway,
lost in the sauce (butches)

Maggie Smith: the magisterial star of Harry Potter and Downton had the courage and talent to do absolutely everything
The real-life dame and on-screen dowager countess, who has died aged 89, earned fame in her 70s and 80s for blockbuster roles. But her early work at the National Theatre marked her out as a talent for the ages
Dame Maggie Smith’s trophy cabinet reflected her extraordinary achievements across theatre, film and television – and in the biggest arenas of British and US culture, from the BBC to Hollywood, the West End to Broadway. A measure of her versatility and durability is that, in the 1960s, she played nine major roles in the formative years of the National Theatre, but also, from the start of the 2000s, appeared in five series of Downton Abbey, the ITV Sunday night series that became one of the biggest popular hits of the new millennium.
Her role in that show was Violet Crawley, Dowager Countess of Grantham, who lived in such a bubble of exclusive comfort that, in trademark one-liners, she would drawl in mystification, for example: “What is a ‘weekend’?” That acerbic superiority was a signature throughout Smith’s career, including the part that brought her first Academy award in 1970, against a shortlist also featuring Liza Minnelli and Jane Fonda, for the title role in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, adapted from Muriel Spark’s novel about a maverick, arrogant schoolteacher in Edinburgh.
Smith consistently had the courage and talent to do unexpected things. Her second Oscar, in 1979, was for California Suite, with a script by Neil Simon and a cast of high Hollywood talent including Alan Alda and Walter Matthau. Introducing an element of postmodernism to a mainstream comedy, Smith played exactly what she had been at the start of the decade: an English actress up for her first Academy award.
Another surprise on her CV demonstrated an ability to play it straight and dark. In 2019, after 12 years away from the stage, Smith, at the age of 84, performed a 100-minute monologue at the Bridge theatre in London. A German Life was adapted by Christopher Hampton from a documentary movie interview given, at the age of 102 (the show was a rare case of an octogenarian ageing up for a part), by Brunhilde Pomsel, who worked for the Nazi propaganda chief Joseph Goebbels during the Holocaust, but who continued to deny complicity or guilt. With typical meticulousness, Smith refused to accept the part until she had proved to herself at home that she could memorise an extended solo. Combining enduringly impeccable technique with the guts to test it again at such an age, it was a late triumph in an astonishing career.
Margaret Smith – she preferred her full first name, the “Maggie” imposed on her to distinguish from another performer on the Equity register – was born in Ilford, Essex. Her mother, who worked as a secretary, was Scottish, so useful for the creation of the Brodie brogue. Her father, Nathaniel, was a pathologist, whose academic posting to Oxford led to his daughter attending the city’s girls’ high school.
Despite joining the Oxford Playhouse Company at 16, rather than going to college, Smith benefited from the local varsity theatrical privileges, cast in Oxford University Dramatic Society productions, including revues, which, at the time were attended by national critics.
Such was the impact she made in comedy skits and songs that, aged 21, she was part of an ensemble recruited to appear on Broadway in a revue called New Faces of 1956. In London, during the following two years, she appeared, with co-stars including Kenneth Williams, in an English show, Share My Lettuce, billed as “a diversion with music”, with a script by Bamber Gascoigne.
At that point, Smith seemed set to be a sketch-and-music comedian, especially when Strip the Willow, a play about the survivors of a nuclear war in the UK, failed to transfer to London from a UK tour. It was written by Beverley Cross, whom Smith had met at the Oxford Playhouse. He wrote the play for her as an attempted seduction, the first description of her character being “beautiful. As elegant and sophisticated as a top international model. A great sense of fun. A marvellous girl.’’
However, at that stage, no lasting relationship occurred. And Smith’s serious dramatic career was launched when she appeared, again paired with Kenneth Williams, in a double bill of plays, The Private Ear and The Public Eye, by Peter Shaffer, in 1962. These won Smith her first Evening Standard best actress statuette, at the age of 27, and caught the attention of Sir Laurence Olivier, then establishing, at Chichester, the first attempt at a National Theatre. Crucially to the development of her reputation, Olivier trusted her not only with comedy – such as The Recruiting Officer, George Farquhar’s early 18th-century farce – but also tragedy: she was Desdemona to Olivier’s performance in the title role of Othello.
Also at the National, Smith formed a relationship with the actor Robert Stephens, who became her first husband, and father of her sons, who, as Toby Stephens and Chris Larkin, followed their parents into acting.
Dramatic Exchanges, a collection of correspondence from the National Theatre archives, shows the close creative relationship between Olivier and Smith. A habitual nicknamer, he addressed her as “Mageen”. He had long told her that her perfect role would be Millamant, a strong-willed woman conspiring to achieve a desired marriage, in William Congreve’s Restoration comedy The Way of the World. But, in 1968, with Smith having left the company following her marriage with Stephens and pregnant with their first child, Olivier proceeded to stage the play with Geraldine McEwan as Millamant.
Olivier’s letter of apology to Smith contained elaborately verbose admiration. Smith wrote a reply of pained regret concluding: “Well, what’s the point of trying to tell you my feelings. They obviously count for so very little. It was nice of you to say you will devote your energies to my return but really I do not think it would be wise of me to believe that either. Margaret.”
There is a waspish, unforgiving tone in that letter that was part of Smith’s personality; some of those who worked with her, especially younger actors struggling with their roles, were wounded by witty but cruel putdowns.
That bad casting luck at the National, though, was more than balanced out. Had Julie Andrews, in the same year, not turned down the Jean Brodie movie, Smith would never have played the part that redefined her career. With her American bankability increased by a US tour of Noël Coward’s Private Lives, Smith used it to go into a kind of theatrical exile from Olivier and Britain. From 1976 to 1980, she played four summer seasons at the Shakespeare festival in Stratford, Ontario, conceived as a sort of ex-pat RSC-National, where she finally played the part of Millamant and other roles that might have been expected in London, such as Lady Macbeth.
Smith fell into a happy rhythm of filming gigs split with Canadian acting sabbaticals. While she rehearsed or acted, Beverley Cross wrote to her, having become Smith’s second husband in 1975 following her divorce from Robert Stephens.
When Smith returned to London theatre, she took over from Diana Rigg as the troubled modern colonial wife Ruth Carson, in Tom Stoppard’s Night and Day. She confirmed her resurgence with two more Evening Standard awards, in 1981 and 1984, for London runs of shows she had premiered in Canada. In Virginia, by Edna O’Brien, she was the writer Virginia Woolf, for whom Smith’s gift for haughty wit made her natural casting. Then, 16 years after the disappointment with Olivier, she finally played the coveted role in The Way of the World in her own city.
Smith, in contradiction of the standard professional graphs, had, after that slight mid-career dip, a third act even more glorious than her first. Shaffer wrote for her Lettice and Lovage, a comedy maximising her command of sardonic superiority, as Lettice Douffet, a tour guide who begins to embellish history. She took the play to New York, where she won a Tony award. Smith also became an Alan Bennett specialist. She co-starred with Michael Palin in the movie A Private Function in 1984, as a Yorkshire woman using a black-market pig to prevent wartime rationing thwarting her upward mobility. In the 1988 first series of Bennett’s Talking Heads monologues for television, she was a vicar’s wife, anxious about private sins, in A Bed Among the Lentils. On stage (1999) and screen (2015), she was memorable as The Lady in the Van, a fictionalised version of Miss Shepherd, a Catholic evangelist tramp who for some years lived in a caravan on Bennett’s driveway.
There was a trio of West End appearances in plays by the great American dramatist Edward Albee: as the oldest (90-something) of three versions of the writer’s imperious mother in Three Tall Women (1994); playing a vicious drunk in a family menaced by an unnamed “plague” in A Delicate Balance (1997); and a mysterious matriarch visiting a deathbed in The Lady from Dubuque (2007), a rare flop that put Smith off theatre.
Another reason for her retreat from theatre was, unusually for a septuagenarian performer, a vast demand from movie studios. Between 2001 and 2011, she appeared in seven of the eight Harry Potter films, as Professor Minerva McGonagall, transfiguration teacher at Hogwarts, her embodiment of the formidable Scottish academic seeming to contain affectionate nods to Brodie. The part brought Smith considerable wealth – she joked about the “Harry Potter pension fund” – and a vast new fanbase that, she complained, made it impossible for her to shop in Waitrose any more.
Her cinematic renaissance had also included Robert Altman’s Gosford Park (2001). In this English country house drama, written by Julian Fellowes, Smith’s character was at least a first cousin to her Downton Abbey countess. Appearing in a TV series with an average audience of 10 million made it even harder for Dame Maggie (as she had become in 1990) to go shopping. But this late superstardom, half a century or more after her first major theatre and movie successes, confirmed that she was an actor with the rare ability to do anything she wanted anywhere.

Not necessarily your favorite wrestler, but who do you think is genuinely the best wrestler working right now? In terms of technical skill/promo work/whatever yardstick you wanna measure by.
oh man ... that is a great and really tricky question. full disclosure i don't think i can earnestly pick just one (i'll get into why a little bit more below)
also i'm gonna keep this aew only because i don't feel i know the wwe folks well enough yet to have an informed opinion there, but if that ever changes i'm sure i'll start yapping lmao
for aew men it's a real toss-up between bryan danielson, swerve strickland, and darby allin, for me. bryan is i think in many ways the gold standard - he's committed, he's incredibly versatile as a wrestler, he does what he does for the love of the sport and the art form; he's deeply technically proficient but also very quick to adjust to whatever a match or an opponent needs most, and very happy to do what needs to be done to make sure his opponent has a really good showing and looks great going forward, even if it's a match he's booked to win. his promos are always impassioned but never excessive or distracting, and my guy sells like a motherfucker both inside and outside of the ring. if i had a single criticism it's that he might have a *little* bit of an ego problem - i think swerve got a little close to talking shoot when he got on bryan's case about trying to reappear in another promotion under another name because he loves being in front of an audience too much to quit - but it's an extremely mild criticism.... at the point that your career is this long and distinguished, i don't think having a bit of an ego about it is all that surprising or even necessarily bad, and it's very much tempered by how much he wants to see younger generations of wrestlers thrive and succeed.
speaking of swerve, he's very similar to bryan, while also really making his work distinctive and very much his own. he has charisma for days and has come so far from being underbooked and handled weirdly in wwe, his promos are impeccable, his ability to play heel or tweener or even something close to a face based on what's needed most from him is so impressive. there's nothing wrong with having a singular gimmick that you know you can consistently perform and sticking to it, but i'm personally most impressed by wrestlers that are both physically and emotionally/mentally versatile, and that describes swerve to a t. i do sometimes worry about his work-life balance, but i know he's doing what he believes in and loves, and i do find his dedication not just to his own improvement but also to the stability and thriving of aew really admirable. his wrestling is once again very impressive, both deeply technically proficient while also being quick to adjust, and he makes it look easy. effortless, even, again while making his opponents look great and having their time to shine. good wrestlers are a bit like magicians, to me: i want to watch someone and go, "holy shit, how did he do that?"
darby is one i feel strongly about. for a lot of very similar reasons to bryan and swerve - in a lot of ways i think these three guys are reflective of two distinct but connected generations of wrestlers (bryan in one, swerve and darby in the other). i find it really disappointing and disheartening when people only see darby as a high-flying risk-taker, because he's *so* intelligent and deliberate in the things he does, he's such a fucking workhorse and if you've never seen him do more grounded, technical wrestling you're definitely missing out on something really special imo. he took a little while to find his footing when he first came off the indies, but he's grown and learned so much in the past few years both in terms of his athleticism and especially his ability to give absolutely banger promos; i think we can definitely credit some of that to his time working with sting, but it also shows a real jump upward in maturity and a desire to help carry the promotion on his back that really warms me to see. i love that he spends time for himself and pursues the things he loves outside of the ring but is also ready to jump in and help at a moment's notice when they need someone stable and reliable to fill a gap or take over a storyline, and i love that he works with both passion and humility - i think it's going to take him far and i can't wait to see how the future of his career shapes up.
for aew women it's a hard split between toni storm and willow nightingale, for me.
toni's wrestling is phenomenal to watch - she's brutal and versatile and such a quick thinker, always makes her opponents look great, and her character work is fucking unparalleled. i'll admit it took a while for the timeless toni storm gimmick to click for me, but once i understood what she was doing it's been amazing ever since, and i just find her so compelling and magnetic to watch. i'm also really drawn to her because of what it means to see an openly bisexual performer in the wrestling industry, and while i am frustrated by commentary often hamstringing the obvious romantic story between her and mariah, i can't stress enough how awesome it's been to see a love story (however toxic, lmao) between two women be one of aew's biggest or longest running narratives.
willow is so compelling to me as well, though in a distinct way. she always makes me smile and i love to see a fat woman thriving and succeeding in a line of work that, while it's developed a lot, still in many ways does incentivise both male and female wrestlers to be somehow both thin AND muscular, even if that lacks long-term sustainability for their health. her wrestling is something that i think is quite unique in the women's division, both really powerful and really flexible, and i love that her promos have a real emotionality and complexity that her "nothing matters, smile anyway" gimmick might not immediately suggest. she's tender and passionate and sad and exuberant and loyal and refuses to take shit, and i think she's such an amazing example of fully experienced femininity in sports. and she's so fucking dedicated to showing up and being ready for whatever storylines or matches or curveballs come her way, and so keen to bring up other women - and international promotions - along with her, and i just love her to bits.

Ateez as Theatre Kids
Genre: Crack, Reaction, Imagine
Word Count: Almost 700
Song Rec : The Entire Team Starkid Discography
Literally Ateez if they were in the American Highschool Theatre Kid Experience. (I only did backstage for like half a year so forgive me for some inaccuracies.) Also when I refer to the soundbooth it has both sound and light.
Hongjoong
Hongjoong lives in the soundbooth
He's the lead technician there and takes his job very seriously.
Every rehearsal he shows up early, black coffee in hand
One time he even spent the night in the booth
Yes, he got in trouble for that
When lights and sound aren't needed, Hongjoong's helping wardrobe
He's out there bickering with Seonghwa over how much they should take the sleeves in for San's costume
San's just standing there t-posing
"Can I put my arms down now?"
"No!" Seonghwa and Hongjoong shout in unison
Seonghwa
Wardrobe is his domain
Seonghwa loves to tidy up the costumes and has them organized perfectly by size and color
It's a beautiful rainbow there
Has beef with Hongjoong and the backstage people
Hongjoong because he's always in Seonghwa's business
Backstage because they're so messy and leave their junk everywhere
All the performers love Hwa though
He makes sure no one looks ugly on stage
Runs quick changes like a Navy admiral
It only took a matter of seconds to take off Jongho's fursuit in their production of Beauty and the Beast
Yunho
You would think he's a performer
But he actually works backstage
They needed someone tall enough to move the larger props
He's mainly there to just chill though
Everyone loves him, even Seonghwa
He's also a versatile performer as well
Ate as Charlie in Kinky Boots
He was twerking on the runway in the iconic red boots
Otherwise, he's an excellent understudy
Like he's a triple threat (ngl all of Ateez are)
Yeosang
Stage manager
Only got the position because no one wanted to do it
Loves telling the performers to shut tf up when they're being too loud backstage
But sometimes he's feeling shy so he'll get Yunho to do that for him
His headseat is comically big for him
Despite his intense babygirl energy, he's out there lifting tables and chairs
Not a single sweat broken
Gave up telling Mingi and San to stop jumping around
He can pretty much tell when they're going to fall, but they never listen to him
San
Constantly getting told to shut up by Yeosang
He's willing to do anything for theatre
And puts 1000% into everything he does
The amount of mics he's broken is astronomical
When Yunho was Charlie, he was Lola
Acted as a cockroach once in some obscure play
Yes, he made the crawling noises with his mouth
Fools around with Yunho, Mingi, and Wooyoung
The four get in trouble by Matz and Yeosang
He usually slips away when they're getting scolded and act like he got called on stage
Mingi
He's usually at the soundbooth with Hongjoong
Loves messing around with the mics
Screams "Fix On!" out of nowhere
Got a handful from Seonghwa and Yeosang for that
Aside from the soundbooth, he's backstage
Mainly for Yunho
Despite his large size, he struggles with moving props
He's heaving and everything but the cabinet moves an inch
His calling to the stage came for Hamilton
The fancam of him as Hercules Mulligan went viral online
Wooyoung
If Yeosang's on stage left, he's on stage right
Yes he abuses the headset
Likes to bark into the mic connected to Yeosang's headset
Yeosang gets so pissed
Surprisingly good at running the sound booth, despite never properly being trained
One time Wooyoung was tasked with painting some prop walls
He did the job impeccably
If you don't count the paint that got all over Ateez
Proposed a group shower to remedy this
Yeah, pretty much no one took him up on this offer
Jongho
He's born for the stage
Yeosang tried to poach him for backstage but Jongho yearns to sing
Has a soft spot for Yeosang so he'll help out when he's not busy
Obnoxious warmups that can be heard well beyond the green room
Always gets a lot of applause when he takes his final bow
During tech week he takes vocal rest seriously
However he'll still get across that he wants to jump Wooyoung through violent gestures
In fact, he did tackle Mingi down once

Hugh Laurie’s 10 Best Movies & TV Shows, Ranked
By Ben Protheroe
Published Feb 15, 2024
Summary
Hugh Laurie's comedic sensibilities shine through in his deadpan expressions and impeccable timing, making him a comedic powerhouse.
Laurie's natural charisma allows him to play affable characters or charming rogues in dramatic roles, showcasing his versatility as an actor.
Laurie's most impressive skill is his ability to completely transform himself, abandoning his famous traits and disappearing into unexpected roles.
Hugh Laurie first established himself as a comedy actor, but he has also shown that he is a powerhouse performer in dramatic movies and TV shows. Laurie first rose to prominence alongside Stephen Fry, the other half of his popular double act. The duo starred in TV shows and movies together before developing successful careers on their own. Fry has become an author and a TV presenter as well as an actor, while Laurie has added more dramatic roles to his repertoire. Laurie is mostly known for his TV shows, but he has made some brilliant movies as well.
Hugh Laurie has acute comedic sensibilities, especially when playing the straight man. His deadpan expressions and trademark comic incredulity are among his best assets. However, he is also articulate and intelligent enough to make unusually verbose punch lines land without missing a beat. Laurie uses his natural charisma in dramatic roles to play a number of affable characters or charming rogues. What's perhaps most impressive about Laurie's acting skills is that he can abandon all of his most famous traits and disappear into unexpected roles.
10Peter's Friends (1992)
Roger Anderson
Peter's Friends is a somewhat forgotten comedy directed by Kenneth Branagh. Stephen Fry is the titular Peter, a man drifting through life who inherits a luxurious countryside manor and invites all of his old college friends back together for a New Year's Eve celebration. The old friends assemble from all over the globe, and their bright and shiny facades begin to crumble. Hugh Laurie plays Roger, a once-promising musician who sold out a long time ago to write advertising jingles. He's just one in a cast full of eccentrics, all of whom have a tenuous grip on reality.
9All The Light We Cannot See (2023)
Etienne LeBlanc
Based on the novel by Anthony Doerr, All the Light We Cannot See follows the lives of two teenagers caught on opposite sides of the Second World War. Marie-Laure is a blind French who uses her radio to broadcast messages of hope and resistance, and Werner Pfennig is a German soldier sympathetic to her cause but tasked with tracking her down. Hugh Laurie shines as Marie-Laure's great-uncle, a man with PTSD from the First World War who fights to overcome his condition to protect his family. All the Light We Cannot See delivers a powerful, uplifting message.
8Arthur Christmas (2011)
Steven Claus
Arthur Christmas is a festive adventure with a lot of heart and a lot of humor. Arthur is the son of Santa Claus, but he is forced to take on a delivery of his own after he discovers that one child didn't get their Christmas present. Hugh Laurie plays Steven, Arthur's business-minded older brother who wants to run Santa's workshop like a delivery warehouse or a military base. Arthur Christmas has all the charm usually associated with Aardman Animations, the studio most famous for claymation projects like Chicken Run and Wallace and Gromit.
7Jeeves & Wooster (1990-1993)
Bertie Wooster
Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie's TV adaptation crystallized two classic comic characters for an entire generation.
P.G. Wodehouse's "Jeeves" stories have been extremely popular in Britain for decades, and Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie's TV adaptation crystallized two classic comic characters for an entire generation. Hugh Laurie plays Bertie Wooster, a wealthy young man who is affable and optimistic but somewhat thick. Stephen Fry plays Jeeves, his intelligent valet with a sardonic wit. As Bertie tangles himself up in problem after problem, it's often down to Jeeves to extricate him from his troubles as painlessly as possible. Jeeves aims a couple of barbs at his employer, but he makes sure they sail over Bertie's head.
6The Night Manager (2016)
Richard Roper
The Night Manager pairs Hugh Laurie with Tom Hiddleston and Olivia Colman, and all three actors deliver brilliant performances. Laurie plays Richard Roper, an amoral, psychopathic arms dealer who is under investigation by the British Foreign Office. Hiddleston plays a hotelier in Cairo who is enlisted to infiltrate his inner circle. Based on the novel of the same name by John le Carré, The Night Manager is a suspenseful thrill ride with an ordinary man placed in extremely deadly situations. Hugh Laurie's performance as the villainous Roper is a great showcase for his talents as a dramatic actor.
5A Bit Of Fry & Laurie (1989-1995)
Various characters
Hugh Laurie's first TV show alongside his comedy partner Stephen Fry was the BBC sketch show A Bit of Fry and Laurie. Their deadpan British wit combines with absurdist Pythonesque sketches where Laurie typically plays the sarcastic straight man. Fry and Laurie's sketches often poke fun at the rigidity of British society by introducing elements of the surreal, and they frequently use innuendo and puns to spin ordinary situations into farce. A Bit of Fry and Laurie also gave Hugh Laurie a platform to demonstrate his talents as a musician with plenty of comedy songs on guitar or piano.
4Sense & Sensibility (1995)
Mr. Palmer
Sense and Sensibility is one of the best Jane Austen movie adaptations, starring and adapted by Emma Thompson. She plays Elinor Dashwood, one of three sisters who find themselves in dire financial straits and plot to find wealthy men to marry. Despite the jeopardy of this premise, Thompson's script captures Austen's dry wit and upbeat tone. Hugh Laurie plays a supporting role as Mr. Palmer, a comfortable member of high society whose privilege allows him to freely dispense erudite one-liners without needing to fear the repercussions. Laurie helps revitalize Austen's humor for the modern era.
3Veep (2012-2019)
Tom James
Laurie is one of very few actors in the show who can go toe-to-toe with Louis-Dreyfus in full comedic flow.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus is the star of Veep as the cynically ambitious career politician Selina Meyer, but she has an outstanding supporting cast to back her up. Veep's best seasons come after the show takes some time to assemble its funniest characters. Hugh Laurie plays Tom James, the charismatic senator who sucks all the attention away from Selina on the campaign trial, even though he is brought in as her running mate. Laurie is one of very few actors in the show who can go toe-to-toe with Louis-Dreyfus in full comedic flow.
2Blackadder (1983-1989)
Prince Ludwig the Indestructible, Prince George, Lt. The Hon. George Colthurst St. Barleigh, other minor characters
The BBC historical sitcom Blackadder hops to a new time period each season, starting in the Middle Ages and ending in the trenches of the First World War. Hugh Laurie plays a different character in each season, starting with one of the show's most cunning villains, Prince Ludwig the Indestructible, in season 2. His most memorable performances come after he joins the main cast as the upper-class twit, George. Prince George and Lieutenant George are both stupid but boundlessly optimistic, and they consistently rub Rowan Atkinson's Blackadder the wrong way.
1House (2004-2012)
Dr. Gregory House
House gave Hugh Laurie his most famous role, and he took it with both hands. The character of Gregory House is based on Sherlock Holmes. He has a genius-level intellect and remarkable powers of deduction, but he's misanthropic and he struggles with substance abuse. House's best episodes delve into obscure medical mysteries, as House and his team work around the clock to diagnose their patient. House's methods are unethical, and he often treats patients like puzzles rather than human beings, but his results speak for themselves. 20 years on, House is still an unbeatable medical drama.

I just now saw your kink game and I'm jumping on this. Since I'm such a basic bitch I choose breath play, choking, and orgasm denial for Law, Kid, and Crocodile. Please and thank you. 😘
<3 There's nothing basic about a good kink ^_^
We'll do these by character in order of being provided -
I'll probably say it while I'm writing these out, but please if you practice breath play please be careful! Breath Play has a notorious reputation of going south easily because people underestimate it.
If you have an interest check out this starter section on minimizing risks associated with it. Consent is sexy, and safe BDSM means getting to do it more often XD <3
Alright, enough reality land, let's get into these head canons \o/
Law:
Breath Play - Because of the versatility of his devil fruit, Law is a solid Yes for Breath Play of all kinds. It's all the rush and almost no risk, but he still has plenty of prep and such that he'll do to keep things in order. The point is about control, and as such he'll be sure that he maintains that impeccably. I imagine there's even a point where he pulls your heart or lungs out, and lets you watch as your body struggles.
Choking - A strong Yes again. But don't follow the captain's lead on this one, instead of just using his hands, Law will bring props - ropes, belts, etc. into the scene for it. There's far less risk for a slip with props when you can shambles them away in a split second. Careful monitoring again, letting you drown in the sweet mix of adrenaline and pleasure.
Orgasm Denial - Oh god you don't even know - Stoic as he is (or tries to be) otherwise, Law has always been a bit of a brat behind closed doors. Certainly a dom, but just as much a brat, and being able to deny you that final plunge over, and over, and over again and again is something he can easily delight in. There's a lot of control in it as well, so it hits more than one big button for him.
You ask for it one time, but after that it's almost entirely consigned to the realm of punishment play. Frustratingly good as it is, it is pretty hot when he finishes on you just as you're whining for yet another denial.
Kid:
Breath Play - Eustass is a Sure on this one. He doesn't have the capacity for safety for it that Law does, but he's not against it either. Ever the consummate kinkster, he'll be sure that the two of you are on the same page about it, setting up additional safety sounds, like finger snapping or you smacking your hand against something. Bondage is kept light during these sessions specifically so you have access to those kinds of movements easily.
Choking - I think Eustass was more of a I dunno on this - until he made a prosthetic that let him "cheat" a little. Managing to cram a few medical sensors into the palm and fingers he easily comes into a Yes on this one. The hands on aspect brings it up for him, feeling you twitch and struggle under his fingers.
Orgasm Denial - FUCK Yes - Eustass will tease you, rile you up, deny you over and over until you're a crying sputtering begging mess and then he'll force so many orgasms out of you afterward that you'll be begging him to stop. "C'mon, (y/n), make up your mind. First you're begging to cum, now yer beggin' me to stop." Not that you can answer him in the midst of another orgasm, but that shattered uncontrolled pleasure is what he was after anyway.
Sir Crocodile:
Breath Play - Overall Crocodile is a Sure for breath play. It has it's risks, and he's experienced enough to be fully aware of them. The comforting thing in a very uncomfortable thought, is that he's probably used breath play to dispatch an unwanted suitor/spy. Because of this he is keenly aware of where the line is, and has a experience-driven knowledge on being able to stay on the... safe side of it. He's only fairly neutral about it because you're not unwanted, and if he's not careful he'll risk something he means to keep.
Choking - Solidly more of a Yes for this, because of how more hands on it is. He prefers direct control, and he can watch your eyes, your face, and feel your pulse this way. Getting to hear and feel you squirm in pleasure makes it even better. While he only has one functional hand for this kind of thing, it still works out well - it's big enough, and the cold smooth metal of that hook caressing your body when you're on fiery edge from the choking certainly doesn't take away from the experience. >.>
Orgasm Denial - How Crocodile vibes this is a Sure, but how "good" he is at has much more passion to it. He won't seem to have much of an opinion one way or another, but if you put him in a mood he'll be denying your orgasms for days. Especially if you've irritated him in some way. You cannot beg this man into giving you relief, and if you try to find it on your own you might find yourself immobile or monitored for long stretches of time until he decides you get relief.
(A quietly adorable thing you may notice with time is that if you don't finish neither does he. >.> Take that as you please. )

Bpp how have you been handling chapter2? Do you get bored or lose interest in Bts in hiatus? Do the solo rollouts not bother you? Please be honest I really want to know you true opinion.
***
Hi Anon,
Chapter 2 has been rough for you, hasn’t it? At least, based on your ask it sounds like it’s been. Tangentially, did you enjoy yourself this past weekend?
I’ve said this before, but if you ever feel like it’s a chore to remain plugged into BTS or stan culture, please step back. Don’t feel guilty about detaching if you no longer find joy in it. Move on to another hobby or another group if that’s where you’re at. BTS has fans, don’t worry. Don’t feel any obligation to stick around if Chapter 2 isn’t serving you what you want. You can check back in 2026 when the guys are together, or move beyond them completely.
That said, personally, I wonder how you can even ask me this question. Like, what else has Chapter 2 been but a trip? Lollapalooza, Balming Tiger collab, World Cup, Jungkook’s birthday video for Jimin, Indigo collabs, Set Me Free Pt 2, Promise on Spotify, On The Street, D-DAY tour, Yoonmin live, etc.
It’s been a blast. The music is easily some of the best globally this year and last. To illustrate:
...
The song I just listened to is Baseline by j-hope.
youtube
*
It's like a drug for me.
I don't think you understand.
I get high... off their music. Like, I don't know why you think two years of irregular releases without their full promotion of that music, will change my underlying sentiment. BTS scratches an itch few other artists can reach for me.
[ The sentiment? BTS is one of the best musicians of my generation. They make music that actually slaps. Any day of the week. Any genre they touch. It's prime good music. ]
Let me walk you through my playlist for the last half hour:
J-hope - Baseline
Baseline is the sauciest hiphop joint out of Korea, ever. J-hope is undeniably one of the most skilled and versatile rappers out of Asia. Point. Blank. Period.
RM, Tablo - All Day
RM's vocals in All Day render me a stupid mess. He's sooooooo... he's kinda nasty. I mean, it's big, he's kinda messy with it, but he ultimately knows how to use it, and he knows you know that he knows. All of this I deduced from his articulation and delivery on All Day. Tablo too, that tease, matched Joon's energy seamlessly. No further comment.
youtube
*
RM, Mahalia, Benny Blanco - Closer
Namjoon created a masterpiece with Indigo. It's an atrocity that many people won't admit it. Really. Indigo is the album of 2022 (Hurt by NewJeans being the song of the year, and JITB at Lollapalooza 2022 by j-hope the concert experience of the year.) Closer is an impeccably produced song. I mean it's almost disgusting how smooth the production, arrangement, instrumentation, etc on that song is.
youtube
*
Jimin - Alone
The cold clarity in his lyrics. How raw and honest he is, in such a well produced track... people need to show this song more respect.
youtube
*
RM - Change Pt 2.
The only song that rivals how brilliant and badass this one is, is Set Me Free Pt 2 by Jimin.
youtube
*
Agust D - D-DAY
The entirety of D-DAY album still has me in a vice grip, but something about D-DAY the song, rips to the core. How he manages to slip something rock anthemic into the epic call to arms he made that song into... Yoongi is in a league of one.
youtube
And to drive home the point, listen to him on HUH?!
Agust D, j-hope - HUH?!
Still the best song on the album. Undeniably. I mean, if you don't black out when this song comes on are you even alive? /gen. No matter where I am, what I'm doing, I could be exiting my company's underground garage, loading laundry, whatever... no matter what I'm doing, when this song comes on I feel my brain short circuit. It's like a mental reset. I suddenly feel so alert and primed with tension I could kill a person if I felt like it. The grandmas scared about what rap does to teens... songs like HUH?!, really do flip a switch in people's heads. They're right to worry because that's what the genre, drill - the gritty, ominous, and violent contemporary expression of rap - that's what it's made to do. And Yoongi showed an effortless mastery of it in HUH?!
youtube
*
Agust D - tour medley
I hope people who weren't able to see Agust D in person, were at least able to see him in the livestreamed concerts. Many times since I saw him in California, I've come back to some fancams from his earliest days of the tour. This one by rogrog is a favourite. Yoongi is a master of his craft who loves to show off his virtuosity. And in his D-DAY tour, that's what he does.
youtube
*
j-hope, J. Cole - On The Street
Jung Hoseok just casually produced this timeless classic and dipped to the military. No fuss. No sweat. No excuses. He just did the thing, had J. Cole spit some of the sickest bars of his career on that song, then said, "see you later."
Things like this are why he's my bias.
He's a consummate professional.
youtube
*
Unpopular opinion, but I have no real issues with their solo roll-outs. I'm not unsatisfied with too much and frankly, I'm so greedy for new music I wouldn't mind another cluttered roll-out. I hope Joon's music follows soon after JK's because God knows I'm not sure I can stand the wait much longer. Joon makes a lot of 'BTS-style' music and so whatever he drops will serve as the perfect complement to Seven / JJK1. And Vmin will likely drop new music in the next year as well.
Chapter 2 has been kind of a blast.
That's my "true opinion", Anon.

hi <3 i woke up with a scenario in mind and a lot of questions and heebiejeebies about it so here i am with some headcanons.
could you please for a second imagine what halloween would be like with larissa?
[gn!reader]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
⭒i know she gets so excited because not only does she have the opportunity to dress up, but thanks to her powers so to speak, she can also become whatever she wants and look a thousand times cooler than anyone else. she puts on a whole show for the holiday, she loooves to do a performance of the character/whatever she chose, completely sinking into the role for the rest of the day.
what do you think her costume would be? me personally... i can't decide.
⭒which leads me to say for sure that she was a theater girl, a little performer (she told me herself this morning), for that reason she loves to wear funny clothes and put herself in someone else's skin besides her own. she loves acting, that hobby never ceased to be an important part of her life, even as she became an adult with endless responsibilities, she always found a space for this activity.
⭒every year you would do your best to be at least a little bit up to her level, and every year you are vastly outdone by your wife.
she doesn't really care what you decided to wear as long as you feel comfortable and like your outfit, the only thing she truly cares about is the time she spends with you getting dressed up together. when she sees the final product she showers you with compliments, you look ravishing even specially in the most hideous and terrifying costume.
⭒she also enjoys the process of it all, the make over, and she needs to plan everything to perfection, down to the smallest detail, at least one or two months in advance. this in between the little breaks she has from work.
⭒and yes, she does look for makeup tutorials on youtube.
⭒matching costumes is a huge yes for our silver lady.
⭒if you live together, i can say for a fact that she has boxes and boxes stored with a lot of decorations both purchased and also handmade by the two of you in previous years.
making crafts with you relaxes her like you wouldn't believe.
⭒be sure that your house will be full of candy for the children who come knocking on your door trick or treating.
⭒and if you have an out-doors relationship, as the date approaches, you pick out a small antique from the local store that she can use to set the mood in her home, or maybe something made by your own hands, which she appreciates tremendously.
⭒she likes to make a special date with you to go pumpkin picking in one of the pumpkin patches outside of town. your opinion is important to her even when it comes to little things.
⭒she is very versatile and likes to learn a little bit of everything, she is constantly looking for something new to do, so she is a fan of try and making themed cocktails not only for halloween. you can be having dinner in a comfortable silence one night a few weeks before the end of october, and suddenly she'll be talking to you with her eyes glued to the screen of her cell phone, a sweet, excited smile painted on her lips as she tells you she found a recipe that sounds delicious, already scheming what glasses she could serve them in, what cute little thing she could put on them to make them look a bit more spooky.
she has impeccable taste. we all know that.
⭒thrillers and horror movies, a nice bottle of wine, a warm blanket and a sweet cuddle on the couch are clearly your every-single-year special thing.
⭒the party she throws at the academy is simply unforgettable, to say the least. as the perfectionist that she is, she takes care of every little tiny thing until the very last minute, spares no expense and of course, seeing her students and the love of her life enjoy her efforts is more than enough pay for her.
⭒she's a teaser, she talks dirty, but she likes it discreet, classy, something that's not too explicit, but that makes it very clear what she wants to do or do to you. with all this said, halloween dirty jokes are on the table.
⭒if you're not much of a halloween lover, trust me, she'll take it upon herself to turn you into one with everything in her hands, definitely getting her way by having a slightly more... naughty costume to wear exclusively in the privacy of the four walls of her room with you that night.
keep in mind that she gets into the role like a pro ;)
⭒trick or treat kind of role play.
⭒this woman loves to give you a little something that day as if it were christmas because why not?
⭒sometimes she pulls some of her favorite costumes out of her closet and models them for you in the living room, no matter what month of the year it is, just for fun. that's quite a show too as she looks incredibly delighted by the way you applaud every time she changes outfits and gives you a brief explanation of the characteristics and personality of the character she is bringing to life at that moment.
━━━━━━。゜✿ฺ✿ฺ゜。━━━━━━
hope u liked it <3

mansuang was excellent for a number of reasons: the stunning cinematography, the beautiful visuals of thai art and culture, hitting powerful emotional beats, seeing mile and apo on screen together again, etc
but for me, hands down the best part of my experience was tong’s performance. he felt so grounded and believable, yet still so intense and regal, and he truly had impeccable fits throughout the whole film. having only seen him in kp before this, i was blown away by his versatility as an actor, and had an incredible time watching him.
