It was inevitable that I draw these two together. What’s the shipname? Carmenaux? CarChase? I like CarChase, it sounds funny. And I’m pretty sure Carmen loves it when people are chasing her but never get to catch her. Also sorry for crappy art, I can’t draw humans properly and I haven’t been practicing in a while. And I still can’t draw normal backgrounds. Nah. Anyway, go watch Carmen Sandiego on Netflix! The episodes on Youtube were deleted yesterday. :/ Luckily I have watched the entire season three times in a row so I remember almost everything. Oh, had I ever mentioned that I’m a geography-history teacher?

Hello ! Say, how do you think Chase would react if he ever learns he has fans ? Think he would be very moved, or brag like hell ?

@aurilis It would most likely go something like this:

Uncomfortable. Very, uncomfortable.

Confused as to why and how he has fans and how they even know about him.

He would come to the quick conclusion that of course he has fans! Why wouldn’t he? he’s an amazing and decorated detective (and now secret agent). Pet.that.ego.

Chase would brag to the stars and bring it up in every conversation how he has a group of people who think he is amazing. It is his way of appreciating these fans of his. He doesn’t know how he is supposed to ‘thank’ them because part of him knows it’s only natural to admire someone as great as him

Chase would soon after feel the surmountable pressure of having people ‘adore’ him and is terrified that if he makes a small mistake or does a single thing they may not like in the slightest he’ll lose this new found ‘love’ and adoration he’s found with strangers.

Chase wishes he never had or even knew about these fans and wants them to just go away so his life can go back to the lonely way it once was. As it made perfect simple sense that way. He knows that truthfully he is undeserving of such compassionate admirers as he is aware his victories are one in few and far behind him. He can’t portray the image he knows they want and expect.

In conclusion: A rollercoaster of egotism, pressure and self-depreciation.

k so i wanted to create some headcanons for our favourite unpopular ship lol, enjoy :3

carmen carries old pictures of them of their time together as detectives, well hided on the bottom of her luggage bag, but she'll never admit it

chase does the same

carmen has huge many skills, the languages, mathematics, analysis of art and science, she's good with technology, an almost photographic memory and also has the talent to frustrate chase with the low effort

chase considers himself a self-controlled man (at least when carmen sandiego is not around)

carmen absolutely loves competition and chase enjoys so much teasing her even with the littlest thing

phoenix (chase's falcon) actually dislikes carmen, way more when she's crossing the 4.99 meter chase's security perimeter, the bird is their anti shipper no. 1

always in the mood for a playful mockery, in the rooftop of a building, on the polar artic circle or in the middle of the desert

chase prefers do the field work by himself, and as a special agent, he works alone, just to make sure that no one will interrupt if something else happens between them

every time they accidentally touch they try to stay close as long as possible, even if it's just seconds

chase likes to enclose carmen in every chance he has, for her side, sometimes carmen is slower on purpose just to have him over her and enjoy the view

they love hushing passive aggressive words to each other

carmen is great for stealing monuments but better stealing kisses ^^

chase would never admit, but he loves when carmen visits him at night at ACME just to "make fun of his incompetence to bring her to justice" he knows she's actually here because she misses him

during this night visits he offers her a drink then sit together and chat; forgetting about the law business and just sharing a nice moment as friends

carmen likes to steal things like his wallet, watch, or anything else, just as an excuse to see him again, chase secretly finds it adorable

she can ask chase to random reunions with her and he'll just go, no questions, same for her

if it doesn't break the law, chase hardly can say no to her

sometimes the tension is too much to hold and they just need it, so, when chase reports "she's out of reach" actually means that they had a quick encounter (the lipstick stains on his skin is something he has been learnt well to hide over the years)

he would give her some seconds ahead, he thinks he will reach her anyways (we all know he won't)

when she lows the guard, chase is faster than her and kiss her, after that he let her go with a smile in her blushed and confused face, as a little revenge to all the times she did the same to him

they have been good friends for a long time, even if they are not longer on the same side, the respect and love remains between them

"i'm marrying her to make sure she won't steal anything else for life duh"

I'm so glad I no longer fear shipping Carmenaux/CarChase.

The idea of him realizing a) Carmen isn't bad and b) Carmen is actually a really lovely person, causing him to fall in love is hilarious because all I can imagine is Julia going "You just realized she's flirting with you too" because NO HE HASN'T!

Then Julia and Carmen are having their lil alone time and Julia's just all "Stop using innuendos on him he's too stupid, and I don't wanna keep explaining them to him".

Julia always pics up on Carmen's hints and Carmen loves when they go back and forth that but she's learned she has too much fun watching them bounce off of his head.

I don’t think Carmen would be. At least, she wouldn’t be jealous for long, and definitely not after she were to learn of Chase having feelings only for her. :) Maybe she would be a little jealous if she was unsure what Julia and Chase’s relationship was, but she wouldn’t hold any malice toward Julia.

I still haven’t seen Season 2, but I like to think Carmen and Julia become close friends who support each other in their different romantic endeavors, and Julia would one of the first people who clearly sees how Chase and Carmen feel about each other and hope they get together. I like to imagine a pining Carmen being able to gush/rant about her feelings for Chase to Julia. :)

:D hello!!! ahh glad to hear you like Carmeneaux!!! ;3; I like to think that he would have cute French nicknames for her.

According to the wiki page for her 2019-specific character, Chase has previously referred to her with many different nicknames. The French nicknames that I can find are “La Femme Rouge” and “La Femme Noire,” so I believe he’d be able to come up with many different romantic French nicknames for her. ;w; It would be so so cute~!
