notes. this was inspired by the anon who requested for “polar opposites” (i’m still working on that request TT). i’m a sucker for couples with different aesthetics because it reminds me of hachi and nana hshshddh ♡

you guys share an apartment together, and the contrast between your guy’s decor can be laughable. hobie has crumbled newspaper cutouts and band posters sprawled all over his walls— graffiti to roughen it up even more. while you had a dainty wallpaper with printed flowers, topped with assortments of neatly lined photos of you and hobie taken during your dates.

that’s why the living room in your apartment is completely bare. except for some framed photos of more cute memories and the dried flowers that hobie (stole) bought you on your first date. mostly, the trinkets you both own are scattered around the apartment.

hobie would be pouring cereal into a pink, bunny ceramic bowl. while you drink raspberry tea in a ridged mauve mug with the words ‘fuck capitalism’ written in hobie’s scratchy handwriting. and yes, you did take hobie to a pottery class as a cool date idea (he thought it was a cute idea too).

hobie always wears a copious amount of studded leather belts but also, your plush keychain(s) securely clipped onto his belt loops. hobie loves to show them off whenever he’s out with his bandmates— “ain’t it a lil’ cute? ‘s even got a lil’ blush on ‘s cheeks.” and that doesn’t limit him during his nightly patrols, he would get a few insults about having a ‘stupid toy’ on his belt, to which he would punch the daylights out of them and trap them in a thick layer of web.

you also proudly accessorize your bags with hobie’s handmade keychains. your favorite was a little replica of his guitar and a pink star that “represents you”. but because they are personally made, he would leave song lyrics and flirty comments written in the back of each keychain— marking the date when he gifted it to you.

going shopping with hobie was also lots of fun. there was a nearby boutique that you always shop at; selling exclusively skirts and dresses adorned with frills and bows, and hair accessories that are covered in pearls and ribbon (he honestly sticks out like a sore thumb but he couldn’t care less). hobie helps you pick out stuff, taking clothes off the rack and asking you to try it on. he compliments you every time you show off, giving you a little twirl and whispering a suggestive comment that makes you slap his chest. if you decide that you weren’t particularly fond of the outfit, hobie would go out of his way to put away said clothes back into its rack whilst having a good chat with the shop owners (they love him to bits).

one time, you decided it would be fun to wear some of his stuff. putting on a studded leather choker he left on his bedside table, you walked out with your chin held high and a grin so big. immediately, hobie felt like he combusted five times and went over to graze a hand over your leathered neck— “you’re an absolute looka’ babe.”

whenever you guys are out, he would always keep an eye out for your skirt. not in a weird way, but to make sure it doesn’t show private bits that would entertain creeps that would pass by. that’s why he would subconsciously linger his hand on your hips and he would always let you sit in the subway train, amusingly eyeing down at you drawing whilst he holds onto the upper railing— guarding you with his solid frame.

you’re a real sucker for british dating shows. it wasn’t like you believed in them, but found them heavily entertaining. hobie had always been fond of the things you like, even though they completely contrasted his personal aesthetic and interest. but he cannot, for the life of him, agree with dating shows. as you snuggled into him and share a fluffy blanket— watching the latest season of said dating show, he would cackle as he gives snarky comments at every moment and heavily criticize the whole concept of “making yourself look li’ a knob on the telly” (you sent him to his room afterwards, he apologized the morning after).

• Really doesn’t get it. He adores how often you gift them to him but has absolutely no clue what to do with them.

• Ended up repurposing one of his desk drawers to fill them with. Also generally always has some laying around.

Gaz:

• Is absolutely giddy about them.

• Learns to make them with you so you two can make a collection together 😇

• Came up with the idea of making them out of sugar paper and incorporating them into food as well, bc why not??

• Puts them literally everywhere. He has little tupperware boxes and mugs full of them placed all over his room.

Ghost:

• Secretly loves sitting and watching you make them. Seeing your fingers curl around the paper with each other fold, it’s just mesmerising to him.

• Can’t get the hang of it himself, though. Poor lad’s fumbling, catching his fingers on every other corner, his hands are just too big.

• Has at least one on him at all times. On a mission? Scattered across his vest pockets. Out running errands? One on the specially made keychain his house keys are on.

• Gets surprisingly upset if any of them get ripped/damaged. Still has a few on his floor because god knows this man has knocked over piles or containers of them, and/or used them as extra ammo during pillow fights.

Soap:

• Similar to Gaz, also very happy about them 😇

• Incorporates them into random things in his life. Definitely shaved a few stars into his mohawk. Maybe even got a star-related tattoo.

• Has them literally everywhere. Whenever he cleans up or redecorates his room, he’ll find at least a dozen just strewn about.

• Can’t exactly get the hang of tiny paper stars either, so whenever he makes them with you he gets big strips of paper so he can actually fold them.

• Always complains about how disarming explosives/tinkering with the tiny, intricate little bits in his snipers is somehow easier than folding those stupid bloody bits of paper.

• Angst warning ahead - Have you lot seen that tiktok video of the person who’s father hid rubber ducks around their house, and after he passed they found one in the console of their car? Yeah. That’s what you’re met with after MW3. You’re welcome 😇 (edit: found it on reddit instead of tt 😚)

Fangs:

• A little confused at first, but eventually catches up with it.

• Will get deeply upset if they lose one you’ve gifted them. Yeah, they have at least three hundred others, but it was a gift from you!!

• Like Soap, starts bringing them into projects. Impulsively starts a full art project based completely around them, and has to shamefully slink over and ask you to make them more 😇

• Sorta gets the hang of them. To say they’re a bit wonky is an understatement, but they’re trying their best, and they don’t really mind as long as they’re having fun (silently raged for at least half an hour over them).

• Paints a star on their favourite rifle. Price wasn’t very happy when they went on a night mission and he spotted a little painted star glowing in the dark, and they very reluctantly peeled of the paint and replaced it with a less noticeable colour.

I went to a kpop store for a tiger shooky keychain. It was like $18 with tax omg. But it's so cute and I've been wanting to get a shooky keychain for so long TT The store also had a trading event for all groups, so I tried to ask ppl. But I'm shy/anxious and not many ppl were trading bts, and no one for the two specific dvd ones i wanted to trade (winter package 2020 and the recent speak yourself dvd). The crowdedness also didn't help :/ An employee said a bts table would be up an hr later but I had to get home by then :/ I saw someone selling bts group pcs but had to resist since it's lower prio for me rn :/ I see a good amount of people with the plush keychain. Which I kinda want but also don't bc I'd be worried about getting it dirty :/ There's a line store at Times Square but it sucks to go there with how busy the streets can get. and they have mostly baby, minini versions, or other colors of the originals in stock. shooky is way too diff from the original design compared to the baby and minini form. and there's no normal original design shooky keychains >:/ on another note, I like koya the most and have a cute, squishy head cushion of his minini design. and mang for the first original head cushion. but no shooky merch until now lol

i don’t think i’ve ever actually been to a kpop merch store.. i always order online but i moved here like right after i started stanning bts and because china- korea relations literally no one comes here ever, even like american/ british artists don’t come here. i think shawn mendez came once but i would have pulled my hair out if i’d gone OH and i was meant to go ruel’s concert here in 2020 i had tickets and everything but then covid hit 😐 so i didn’t get to go and the country has been on strict lock down since february 2020 so no more concerts. i saw BT21 themed stuff in watsons once and was so surprised because it’s like a cosmetic/ skin care store? kind of they sell a lot of things hygiene related

trading seems so scary, but also like going into a store is scary in itself— i think i also have attachments to everything i own so i’d never been able to trade with anyone because i’d be sad about giving stuff away

ooh they have a line store here but it’s all like brown the bear and that bunny, i don’t think they ever had any BT21 merch though 😐 which is really sad so i order it all online again

and my first ever piece of “bts” merch was an RJ notebook that i still have and a tote bag that i bought and i got my friend matching, my parents took me and my brother to japan one summer and they had bts everywhere we were out for lunch and they were playing bts on the tv and then while we were walking someone was playing a butterfly performance and i think that’s the first time i told my parents about bts and still have the tote bag but i used it so much during high school for my PE clothes that i had to buy a new one but this one has just tata on it and he’s holding these flowers— this one’s a little gross though so i might order a new one online but idk which one to pick 😭

and my most favorite piece of bt21 merch— my cooky pillow is the best thing that’s ever happened to me OH and my friend bought me a cooky mug as well once but i left it in the uk so now it’s stranded at my grandparents house until i go back 😭 it was my designated ice tea mug as well 🥲 i don’t think i have any keychains, i have a butter one but nothing bt21

I WANTED TO DO SNAPSHOTS SO BAD but i alread spent over 300 on the trip (tickets themselves + hotel room + gas to get there) so i couldnt buy them BUT when i gave them all the keyrings they were sooooo sweet about it and looked so surprised that i was giving them something that wasnt a letter ToT

changmin said it was pretty and dongil said that the picture i used was cute (one side was them after they debuted and the other were the pics of them when they were kids that they posted for childrens day). my hands were shaking A Lot and almost every member held my hand when i gave them the keychains telling me i shouldnt be nervous. they looked genuinely worried and i dont blame them bc i felt like i was gonna pass out (and i started crying afterword afshbkdj) and i think they recognized me when i went back back up to do the high five + group photo bc changmin asked me if i was okay now TT (tho to be fair having bright purple hair + giving them a gift + on the verge of tears/passing out + being one of the only ppl to talk to them in korean might have contributed to that...)

also maknae line were sosososo sweet and cute. i told junseo that hes really pretty and he looked so surprised and asked 'really?' and all i could do was say yes bc the staff were starting to get upset that i was taking .5 seconds longer than i should have (even tho DKB were the ones holding my hands what did they want me to do snatch my hand away? afjshk). yuku had the brightest smile and harry june asked if i was nervous and when i told him yes he looked so worried and said 'dont be nervous!'

when we did the group photo all in was playing and me and the girl next to me started dancing and singing along before the photo and heechan turned around in surprise as if us knowing the song was a shock afhsbk but he looked so happy so see us vibing with the song and he started dancing in his seat too it was cute

also like. i dont know how to describe it but they are soooo attractive in person. photos dont do any of them justice at all. im sure u saw bc u did snapshots with some of them lol but junseo.... god i just want to tell him how handsome he is that he shouldnt listen to those ppl who tell him otherwise and that we will love him no matter what... iirc him and changmin were the only members taller than me but to be 100% honest i was too focused on not bawling my eyes out in front of them to notice much on that front lol (but i do remember yuku and lune being so tiny and cute and all of their hands were smaller than mine ashkj)

i wish i had more time to talk to them to tell them how amazing and talented they are and how proud bbs are of them but the staff were really pushy with trying to get the fansign line moving. i get it, there were a lot of us, but a guy can dream. even though the time was short they really tried their best to comfort me in the time we did have and that meant a lot <3

ALSO slightly off topic but the main reason i was close to passing out was bc of how hot the venue was while waiting for the fansign. i was sweating so bad before during and after the concert so i got some water from the bar (four fucking dollars 😒) and i talked to the bartenders for a bit. according to them, the boys were super nice and sweet and like. ofc as bbs we think that the boys are kind but hearing from someone that has no emotional connection to them and interacts with hundreds of celebrities throughout the year that dkb are sweet boys... it just.. its nice. its nice to see that theyre kind to people who are outside of the fandom bc sadly thats not the norm for every group

So... I'm not sure what this is, I'm tired, so it's kind of rambly, but I hope you like it? I'll probably come back later and write more AroAce Todoroki, but in the meantime, have this.

Momo is the first one to konw, after they move to the dorms.

It isn't really that he tells her, and more that she's one of the smartest people he knows, and she's kind, so when he notices that everyone seems to like people in a different way than him, when he sees his classmates, his friends blush and stutter, he goes to her for help.

(It took him a while to realize that when his classmates made comments about girls, or boys, or both (No one seemed very picky, except Mineta, but he hardly counted) they were serious)

He doesn't understand why she seems so embarrassed to talk about it, he knows that attraction is a thing that exists, of course, but he also never thought much about it, and now it seemed like he was the only one. It wasn't like he someone to ask about those things.

It's a little embarrassing to admit that he's never been around a loving couple, Fuyumi is always engrossed in her work, and while Natsuo has mentioned a girl or two from his university, it's never been more than a passing comment

(He's had the talk before, he reassures her, both his father and his siblings had made sure to give it to him as soon as he hit puberty, but his parents were the perfect example of how you didn't need love or even attraction to have a child. He doesn't mention that part, Midoriya always got this sad look when he did, and he didn't want to make Momo sad)

In the end she doesn't really clarify anything for him, and he leaves with as many questions as before.

He still doesn't get why Kaminari short circuits sooner after talking to that one 1-C student, or why Bakugou's performance lowers when he's fighting Kirishima. He thinks ge gets why Uraraka blushes when she's partering with Midoriya or Asui, but not why she lets that distract her during hero training. He feels like he should, but also the idea of letting a physical reaction hinder his training like that sounds stupid (Momo says he's being a little cynical, he doesn't underestand why)

He tries not to let it bother him. He underestands attraction, even if he doesn't feel it, he knows what it means to find someone "hot", or "cute", his brother always quick to try to explain, but romantic feelings? Those are confusing, and no matter what he looks for, what he reads, how many people he asks, everyone seems to have a different answer, and it still doesn't sound like anything he's felt before.

It takes Sero loudly giving a presentation to a tied up Mineta for him to find the word, to hear that maybe he doesn't need to underestand.

Aromantic, the lack of romantic attraction.

He goes back to Momo's room that afternoon, asks her shyly if she'd help him research, and she lits up like every other time someone asks her for help, that need of reassurance that she's useful (It saddens him, how he can see himself reflected in that, younger and overwhelmed with the need to please his father, and thinks that maybe, if he felt those kinds of things, he'd feel them for her)

They spend hours googling and reading and researching, sitting on Momo's gigantic bed side by side, talking in hushed tones about the words on the screen.

And it doesn't fix everything, giving it a name, it doesn't stop him from feeling excluded sometimes, when he hears his classmates talking, like there's some inside joke, some reference he doesn't get, it doesn't stop the voice inside his head (that sounds so much like his father), from telling him that he's different, but it makes it easier, and when Momo gives him a keychain later that week, a flying bird in shades of green and grey, he smiles.

My encounter with ToastyTime (serious)

This story should begin with a warning, if you are faint of heart or don’t want to hear the dark truth about your favorite youtuber then stop here, if not then please keep going. I have been a fan of Toasty Time for years and his rpgmaker videos have been a staple of my afternoons, I also happen to live in the same area as Toasty Time and have always looked up to him from afar. My interactions with Toasty Time (who I will call TT from now on) started when I joined his discord server. Coming to his discord server the fans were nothing but positive and had all sorts of cool games they were working on for me to playtest and keep up to date on, the only person who wasn’t like that was TT himself. TT was and still is mean, cynical, and rules that server with an iron fist, if someone says something he doesn’t like, expect an instant ban. Despite the constant red flags I decided to reach out to him and show my support for my favorite piece of bread, he responded with the word sus and an isis beheading video. Now I was sure that my pal TT was just showing his faith for Allah so I continued, the conversations eventually got to the point where it seemed like he was building up to something. Finally the conversation ended and he offered me to come to his home, he said if I didn’t bring gifts then “daddy will get angry” so I brought a keychain from a recent loot anime box. Meeting my favorite youtuber was a once in a lifetime opportunity so I snuck out of my home and rode my bike all the way to his home (a 5 mile adventure might I add). Feeling mentally and physically exhausted I finally arrived at his neighborhood, going through the sprawling houses it was like a labyrinth until I hit a dead end. At this dead end stood Toasty’s home it seemed to be a near exact replica of the house from the film “Monster House”. Weary of the home and shocked at the sounds of whimpering coming from the home I slowly approached the front door with my gift in hand and my “I love toastytime” t shirt on. TT opened the door and I saw him for the first time, a burly man with long gnarly teeth and an intimidating aura. He sneered at me and said “hello boy, do you have my gifts?” he smiled at me like the Cheshire cat and I meekly handed him his tag afraid of being hurt. What followed next was the most awkward conversation in my life, Toasty started complimenting me and telling me to “enjoy” what “comes next” while I tried to make light hearted conversation and get away from the topic of entering his home of fear. Finally I couldn’t take it anymore, the constant ogling of my rock hard abs (btw I am really hot and have rock hard abs from working out) and the long gazes and giggling made me so scared I had to flee. As I ran away and attempted to grab my bike he sent some sort of black beast after me. It tried to maul me as I escaped and he muttered the commands “Artemis, fetch me his soul” I finally got away from toasty and the beast but I will never be the same. True Beauty - Episode 12

I just finished episode 11 and decided to treat myself with another episode, so I have not much to say to introduce this episode, except that I expect some drama. Lots of it. That’s what the previews told me.

Suho opens up to Jugyeong about his relationship with his dad. He grew up mostly by himself since his dad was away in the States most of the times. He’s confused about his feelings towards his dad.

Sujin gets slapped for running away from tutoring. She locks herself behind some doors to escape from her dad’s anger.

Suho is back home. And worried about his dad because of his resignation. Well I guess part of him is. Seojun finds a note left to him and Seojun from Seyeon thanking them for coming into his life. He shares it with Seojun. I’m glad those two are friends again. This part of the story is really well written. I can see growth and I like that. Even though there’s not much. Seojun gets them in trouble while cursing at som ganga members, so they have to run away. To slow the thugs down, Suho throws his crutch at them so Seojun carries him on his back until they fall into manure. Well at least they got rid of the thugs.

Jugyeong enrolls in a beauty schoool. While Seojun and Suho are enjoying some ramen together. Now I want ramen. Seojun tells Suho that Sujin has feelings for him. Well kind of, that Jugyeong didn’t want to tell others they are dating because of Sujin. Then Jugyeong calls him to nag him. Then she’s being all cutesy and her brother comes in to fart so she chases him, showing her pyjamas.

Sujin is befriending the transfer student. And calls out to Jugyeong. Jugyeong gets scared seeing the girl, because she remembers the past. Jugyeong drags Sujin away. In class, Su Ah tells Jugyeong she sent her picture for some instagram contest. Jugyeong wants her to take the picture down, but it’s not possible.

Suho tells Sujin that Jugyeong is his girlfriend and he asks her not to tell the others. Now Sujin is getting upset even more.

Suho pretends his leg isn’t completely healed yet to lean on Jugyeong.

Sujin invites Hyemin, transfer girl to eat with them. Then she asks Jugyeong from what school she transferred from. Then Hyemin asks if Jugyeong doesn’t recognize her. And the others asks if she’s from the same school. Jugyeong denies knowing her. Oh no. Poor baby Jugyeong. She leaves extremely upset. And Sujin hints to Hyemin that Jugyeong is just wearing make up.

Jugyeong and Suho meets a Prince of Comics, she got him a gift. A paper bag hahaha. For anxiety. And also some dolls. And yarn. And a couple keychain. So cute. Then she asks him if he talked to his dad and suggests that he does, even though it’s hard. Because she doesn’t want him to have any regrets.

Jugyeong won the Instagram contest. She’s really upset about it. And still trying to avoid Hyemin. Then after school, the bullies come to meet Jugyeong, but she escapes. Sujin does nothing to help. Stop being fake...Then the bullies see the transfer girl and run to her. Jugyeong sees that. And turns her back on her. I guess she’s not ready and too scared of those girls. Oh no she comes back to save her. Jugyeong. But then Sujin talks with those bullies though... that doesn’t feel good. Jugyeong is still upset about Hyemin for what happened. But Hyemin apologizes. Hyemin promises she won’t tell anyone about the past.

Suho calls Seojun out to ask about Sujin and Jugyeong. So he tells him what Jugyeong told him. I love how he asks help from Seojun about knitting. And dating with Jugyeong. Then he meets up with Jugyeong. She tells him about the transfer student. The dummy, he thinks nothing is going on with Sujin.

Jugyeong ends up being the school’s model. Against her will. And that’s something that makes Sujin even more jealous. And she exchanged numbers with the bullies. And takes pictures of Seojun. And she comes back right at him because he knows Jugyeong is dating Suho and still likes her. She took the pictures for bully girl in exchange of Jugyeong’s pictures. Ugh she’s going to use Hyemin. And she got Jugyeong’s neclace. Noooo. Jugyeong gets really anxious about losing her necklace. But she won’t find it since Sujin took it. Seojun offers to help her find it. He leaves her alone when he hears it was a gift from Suho. Suho is also looking for it and Sujin comes to shows it him before throwing it in the fire. Suho is shocked and she tells him it’s because she likes him. That’s not how you will get the guy girl... She tells him to break up with her if he doesn’t want her to lose a friend. That if she confessed first, he would have chosen her. Euh. No. Cause Jugyeong never confessed to him and wasn’t even dreaming about dating him. He says he wouldn’t and she tries kissing him. She’s so desperate.

Even really late at night, Jugyeong is still looking for the necklace. Suho got another necklace and drops it for Jugyeong to find it. He’s so sweet. Seojun was back to look on her, but then he remains in hiding since Suho is there. See that’s the difference. Seojun thinks of Jugyeong’s happiness before his. Unlike Sujin. Then the guard comes in and they run away. Bumping into Heegyeong and the teacher whoops.

The bully realizes that Jugyeong is Jugyeong. Thank you Sujin.

Jugyeong, Suho, Heegyeong and the teacher go for hotpot together. The girls asks questions. It’s a funny scene. I like their dynamic and how they just convince each other so easily. Even though they fight, they are getting along so well

Sujin told the bullies Jugyeong’s hone address. When Seojun is on his way to pick up his sister, he sees the bullies. And takes them away just in time before Jugyeong and Suho gets home. Then bully leader shows Seojun a picture of Jugyeong, without make up. Seojun says she’s still prettier than they are and he breaks her phone. And threatens them not to bully anymore.

Pictures of Jugyeong got out. Su Ah is angry at Jugyeong. Jugyeong runs away from class and falls on the ground. Suho wants to help her, but she rushes away.

How can I stop watching just now TT I hate cliffhangers. It’s just.... not good for my health. But you know what, I’m going for a third episode. I don’t care for sleep. I should get paid to just watch drama. That would be my dream life. Stay inside my house, getting food delivered at my door and make drama recaps. Any scouting agency out there? My recaps are not that good though. Oh well. I guess lockdown kind of gives me that life. Kind of.

Would you ever consider selling the captive prince charms and washi tape again? I LOVE THEM and I am no where near where you do cons, I would love to get a few of them for my friends and I <3            

the full bundles will not be restocked! however, a limited amount of leftover washi tape and one re-run of the gold metallic charms will go on sale in november, 1 year after the initial release. the bookmarks and postcard will not be reprinted.

generally speaking, zine bundles are meant to be somewhat exclusive, and i do not keep them in constant stock the way i do the rest of my merch – hence the extended wait as well.

Hi! Wanted to ask your thoughts on ever putting up the artwork of walking all the dog pokemon up on your store as a very wide print? I would certainly buy it!

i removed large prints from my webstore recently as the shipping matrix is difficult to figure out and i was starting to eat the cost of a lot of the postage. i can’t guarantee anything but if i’m able to figure out a more functional shipping system i will be putting the dog pokemon print up! in the meantime, it is on my society6!

do you think you'd ever make phone cases with your art?

unfortunately not: phone cases are pretty cost-prohibitive to produce and ship on my own, as well as difficult to keep in stock because there’s like eight bazillion different phone models. i do have some of my art on print-on-demand websites like society6.

ahh they were a pretty limited run and i’ve got like a scattered handful left, so i don’t think they will ever be sold online, no! for this and that reason, i probably won’t be reprinting them, they were intended to be for friends. the designs are still available in sticker form, though!
