⇢ ˗ˏˋ Can You Keep a Secret? ࿐ྂ
Characters: Tamaki, Kyoya, Hikaru, Kaoru, Haruhi
Warnings: Anesthetic
A/N: I hope you guys enjoy, Ouran was one of the first Animes I watched so I may be a little dusty on the characters -> The request Anesthesia + The Hosts
Tamaki
When you get out of the doctor’s office and into his car he rolls up the divider window and smiles at you
You two have so much fun rambling nonsense to each other
Thinks it’s adorable when you get excited “finding out” that he’s your boyfriend
“You’re so handsome.” You say leaning against him. He made sure you were still buckled before he wrapped his arms around you.
“Thank you my love, you know you’re pretty cute too.” He finds himself so lucky that you’re his.
“Can you keep a secret?” He nods with a smile and an eyebrow lift wondering what it could be. “I love you.” His face grows red at an almost alarming rate. This was the first time you had told him that you love him.
“I love you too, my love.” His voice is a little wavy but he has a dopey smile on his face. “Why don’t you get some rest.” He plays with your hair until you’re fast asleep in his arms
Kyoya
The divider window is already rolled up before you get into the car
Has ice cream already situated in the car because he knows you’ll want it
Blushes at how touchy you are before getting used to it
“Thank you, you’re really pretty.” He smiles as he sets his notepad down. He hands you your cup of ice cream and the smile on your face grows wider.
“I hope you enjoy, maybe it’ll wear off faster.” He knows it won’t but he enjoyed how quick you dug into the ice cream.
“Isn’t your partner jealous that you’re here with me? Giving me ice cream.” You poor soul. You’re so confused.
“I don’t think they’ll mind.”
“Why do you say that?”
“Because you’re my partner, honestly what did they do to you in there.” He shakes his head and presses a kiss to your forehead.
Kaoru
Little sweetheart brought blankets with him incase you were cold.
As for snacks, you have your own compartment in all of the cars that holds snacks, hygiene products, hair ties, breath freshener, etc.
by the time you come back out of the office he’s holding your hand and leading you to the car
Kaoru leads you to the car and helps you get in before buckling you up and closing the door. He does the same for himself on the other side. He pulls out a carefully folded blanket and places it around your shoulders before taking another one and putting it on your laps.
“Do you have a partner?” He’s a little taken aback by the statement before he chuckles.
“Yes I do, why do you ask?”
“Cause I think you’re really nice and handsome and I kinda just wanna kiss you.” You pout a little and go back to eating your snack.
“Can I tell you a secret?” You nod enthusiastically. “You’re my partner, cutie.” Your face grows red as you smile widely.
“I’m so lucky.” It’s his turn to blush now.
I headcanon that Kaoru calls you cutie because of the little oranges and that’s how you two got together. (I may expand on that more later)
Hikaru
Teases you about it literally ALL the time
Had his camera set up before you got into car
Thinks it’s absolutely hilarious that you didn’t know who he was
Helped you stumble your way to the car. Don’t be fooled though he was laughing the whole way. Your poor anesthesia filled brain didn’t know why he was laughing and just thought it was adorable.
When you get into the car the camera is already set up and he knows he’ll look fondly on today even if he still thinks it’s hilarious. “You’re really nice.” You say looking at him like he hung the stars.
“Why thank you, so find anyone attractive in there.”
“Well, can you keep a secret?” Well, that made him a little concerned. Why did you not immediately say no and that you thought he was attractive?
“Yeah, I’ve been known to keep a secret or two.”
“I find you attractive. I really hope you don’t have a partner.” He starts cackling at that.
“Sorry to disappoint but I do have a partner.” He makes out between laughs. “Can you keep a secret?” You frown a little but nod. “You’re my partner. And I think you’re the cutest when you’re not in your right mind.” That makes you smile.
Haruhi
Is definitely one of the nicer ones of the bunch
Ask her dad if she could borrow the car/ pick you guys up. Not a problem though because her dad literally LOVES you
Might like you more than Haruhi so he agreed instantly
Snacks are piled high in the car and Haruhi rolls her eyes at the display. “They don’t need this much.”
“Nonsense! Only the best for Y/N! I will have it no other way!” He says as he finishes putting the last bag in the car. Haruhi sighs and gets into the car. When they pull up to the doctor’s office Haruhi gets out of the car to help you. When you reach the car you’re in awe of Haruhi’s dad.
“You’re Mom’s really pretty!” They both laugh.
“Thank you dear! But I’m Haruhi’s father remember? I got you some snacks dear, Haruhi why don’t you sit in the back with them.”
“I was going to do that anyway.” The moment Haruhi sat down and buckled both of you in you had grabbed her hand. You held both of them up and compared hand sizes. Haruhi wasn’t used to you being this outgoing so she got flustered.
“What are you doing?”
“Comparing hand sizes and hoping you aren’t dating anyone and I can have you all to myself.” You say with a smile. You interlock your fingers and lean closer. “Now tell me, am I too late or am I so lucky that you’ll go on a date with me?”
“I’m already dating you idiot.” Haruhi smiles and kisses your interlocked hands.
“Well, that’s just the best news I’ve heard all day!”

A Day in the Life of the Fujioka Family! - what was planned to be a quick, small trip to visit y/n and haruhi soon becomes something bigger as all the members get a peek into the commoner lifestyle
Pairing - fem!reader x host club

Currently, seven of the eight Host Club members were standing outside of a run-down, tiny, one-roomed house where the Fujioka residents lived. Vines were overcrowding the fence that stood in front of the cracked home, them growing in unwanted places. The shattered windows allowed a nasty breeze to enter the house, and the grass surrounding it had weeds overgrowing up to the height of Honey’s knees. As if it could not look more disappointing, the once nice weather that seemed to greet them soon turned into darkened clouds that looked as if it were specifically just floating over the Fujioka home.
Seeing such a dear friend in a depressing space was appalling to the group. Tamaki stood still, his eyes trained directly at the chunk of wood missing at the top of the doorframe, his hands tightly holding onto a box filled with treats.
"This can't be right," Tamaki muttered.
"Oh Haruhi," Y/N sighed sadly, looking at the rundown place of living. When Haruhi opened the door, her expression differed much from the one they normally saw on her. She had dirt smudged on her cheeks, a sickly pale complexion, and a dizzying stance shown through her discombobulated feet trying to keep her balanced and upright.
"Hey everyone. Why don't you come in?" Haruhi offered, and she gestured to the inside of the miniature home, where a singular chandelier hung down from the ceiling, emitting a small light to make up the whole home's space. "I know it's not much, but please make yourselves at home. I'll make us some tea." She moved across the dirtied floor, trash filtered about the room, and swung open the rusty cabinetry doors. "Um, I'm sorry, we don't have enough cups, but we do have some bowls.”
She frantically pulled out most of the dishware available, pouring an oddly dark brownish-green tea into the chipped containers. The group couldn’t help but eye one another in an attempt to stifle their comments of concern and disgust.
"Hey, boss. What's with this place? She lives here?" Hikaru uttered.
"Maybe it's some kind of set, you know, like in the movies?" Kaoru hoped, peering behind a tattered curtain in hopes of finding a mysterious camera.
"I-I hope so!" Tamaki exclaimed, his eyes staring now into the floor, unblinking.
"Haruhi, you don't have any books," Y/N realized, a gasp leaving her lips as she tried to search in a drawer but to no avail. The book-obsessed young maiden was wrecked at the discovery, similar to how many of the other members were.
"Psst, Y/n," Tamaki snapped out of his trance, nudging her shoulder. "Are you okay, sweetie?"
"I'll be okay, Tamaki-senpai." Y/N shook her head up and down, wiping away an imaginary tear and taking a slow seat down onto the flattened cushion that lay near the table.
"Calm down, you guys. I bet this is the storeroom. I'm positive Infinite Cosmos is just on the other side of that closet," Tamaki told the twins, turning around on the stained cushion and narrowing his attention to them.
"Then should we try to open it?" Kaoru tiptoed over to where the door was.
"Now's not the time!"
"Right.”
"Since you guys decided to come by at lunchtime, my dad said it would be rude if I didn't offer you something to eat." Haruhi walked near the group, placing the bowls and cups filled with tea in front of them. "We've been fasting for three days to save up money to buy something suited to your taste. But it's all worth it as long as you guys like it.” She put on a fake smile.
She walked back, hunched towards the kitchen counter where the grocery bag resided, and with gawky fingers, she pulled out an eight-piece sushi sampler, holding it up in the air.
"It was marked down at the supermarket; how about that?" Haruhi lightly cheered, now placing the platter on the table. The fish looked several days past expiration, the rice was falling from its shape with an odd color, and a disturbing odor was ruminating from the supermarket sushi.
"Sorry, we came to visit Haru-chan! Don't make us eat it!" Honey yelled, standing up as tall as he could with his hands up in the air as if surrounded by law enforcement.
"Be strong men; Y/n will be upset if we hurt her friend, and Haruhi has truly suffered for our benefit," Tamaki encouraged the twins, hands shakily reaching across the table to pick up a set of cheap chipped chopsticks. "It's the least we could do.”
"But sir, I'm not even sure this is fish!" Kaoru argued.
"Wow! I can't believe it! Isn't this a piece of fancy tuna, and I'm getting to eat it with Y/N?" Haruhi admired the tuna in her hand.
"Oh no," Y/n muttered, taking one of the sushis in between her chopsticks. "This—I think I'm going to be sick," she gagged.
"No, Y/n, don't eat that; it isn’t fancy tuna!" Tamaki yelled, sitting up quickly in his bed. He sat up with sweat dripping down his forehead, his breathing was labored, and his eyes rapidly scanned around the room. "Just a dream," he sighed, rushing out of the lavish bed, speedily getting ready, and making his way down the grand stairs of his estate.
"Morning, Master Tamaki," An older woman greets him. "Anything we can do for you?"
"I need to get going; please bring the car around the front at once," he told her, school bag in hand.
"Yes, of course, sir." The driver answered with a curt nod as he went to turn and move out the door.
"I beg your pardon, Master Tamaki, but what would you like for breakfast this morning?" The woman asked.
"I don't want any! I already told you I have to get going!" Tamaki whined, looking as if he were about to stomp his foot in defiance.
"Hold it right there, Master Tamaki! I can't let you leave the house like that. You're still wearing your pajama bottoms and your house slippers," Tamaki rushed upstairs at her comment, coming back down in the proper clothing.
"Thank you, Shima," he thanked, brushing away a strand of hair that got ruffled in the movement and his face a little red from embarrassment. "I'll be going now."
"I hate to be a bother, Master Tamaki, but today is Sunday," she informed. “You don't have to go to school today, sir."
"Oh,” He looked back at her defeat. “Well, why didn't you make me aware of the fact earlier?"
"As your maid, it's my duty to help you. However, I want you to become a fine gentleman. So, you must be able to recognize your own mistakes." She grabbed his back, starting to drag him off. "Since you suddenly have some free time on your hands, why don't we work on your manners?"
"But I have to make a call! Someone bring me a phone!" Tamaki frantically yelled. A maid rushed over with a rotary, which Tamaki quickly took from her grip, spinning around the digits. "Hey Kyoya, there's something I need to talk to you about.”
The weekend granted free time for the girls of the host club to congregate in the ways they wished. With the bright sun shining and heating their exposed skin, Haruhi and Y/n walked back from their venture at the supermarket with warmth in their hearts. It was a most enjoyable time for the wealthier girl, as she had never participated in it. They were chatting amongst themselves until Haruhi’s steps halted when something out of the ordinary came into view—a group of people swarming around some fancy cars. She took a few steps forward to catch a better glimpse, curiosity getting the best of her, and droned out the ramblings of Y/N.
"Check out that car," a man mentioned, pointing out the obvious while a driver was opening the door to the back seat. To much surprise, some of the fellow host club members emerged.
"Wow, so this is where Haruhi lives?" Kaoru spoke.
"It's pretty big, huh?" Hikaru added, as both of the twins were thoroughly impressed.
"Look at all the rooms!" Honey jumped up and down, tugging on Mori’s hand.
"This building is what you might call an aggregate commoner dwelling," Kyoya told them.
"So that means this isn't just hers?" Hikaru put together residing in a more comfortable and toned-down choice of clothing. Most of the boys wore tops without long sleeves, like Mori and Kyoya’s vest or Honey’s sailor shirt. Tamaki had a light yellow sweater on, and the twins were decked out in red and white tops. Overall, the uniforms were gone, and the street clothes fashion commenced.
"Yes, her home is only one of these units," he confirmed.
"Kyoya! Why did you bring these idiots with?" Tamaki whined, now actually stomping his feet.
"Kyoya, it was just supposed to be you and me!”
"Well, you see, I knew you didn't dare to come here alone to see Y/n outside of a school setting, so I thought it'd be best if everyone came along," he explained. "Okay, let's all go home; I underestimated our great leader.”
"I'm sorry, don't leave," Tamaki apologized, putting his hands down in defeat.
There was still a bumbling crowd around the vehicles whispering different rumors about why they appeared and just who the host club were. Y/N, who was naturally curious, stopped her ramblings and began to venture to the crowd, taking in their reactions.
"Now don't you forget men!" Tamaki pulled the rest of the group over into a huddle. "This is a casual—we just happened to be in the neighborhood—type of visit. Y/n will be outraged if we disrespect Haruhi, and after all, Haruhi is a member of our club. We will do our best to be respectful and not judge them. Don't say shabby, cramped, and run down when referring to her home," Tamaki warned the group.
Though the girl in question had heard their whole conversation and was heating up with rage, she turned towards the boys and said, "It's too late; just leave!" At the sudden outburst, Y/n rushed over to her friend's side to see the rest of the host club in the distance.
“Wow, everyone is here!" Y/n beamed, thrilled nature all over her features as she admired the appearances of all of her friends in the same place.
Similar to fruitflies attracted to something sweet, the boys ventured over near the girls, Honey pushing himself closer to Y/n’s side as he cocked his head up. “You look pretty, N/n-chan!” Even the younger-natured boy could recognize a new spark in Y/n’s character with a new venue and be surrounded by those she cared for.
"Thank you, Honey-senpai," Y/n smiled down at the boy.
Haruhi tugged on Y/n’s wrist, pulling her closer to her. "Now the rest of you, get the hell out of here!"
"Haruhi's so mad, she cursed at us!" Tamaki exclaimed, jumping in fear.
"Was this not a coincidence?” Y/n cocked her head to the side, furrowed eyebrows.
“No, they planned this without my permission,” Haruhi glanced over to the girl, cheeks a flamed red. Y/n immediately turned to the man of the hour—Tamaki—and watched as he shrieked, cowering behind the twin's frames in fear of upsetting Y/n.
"Excuse me, Haruhi, but is everything alright?" An older woman went up to her, tapping her shoulder lightly.
"Hi, Miss Land-Lady.”
"These young men are driving such fancy, foreign cars; they're not Yakuza, are they?"
"No, they are not," Haruhi reassured her, shaking her head and stifling a little laugh at the insinuation.
"Do you want me to call the police for you?" She asked, whispering in Haruhi's ear. Tamaki bounced away from his place of hiding and gently placed the woman's palm into his grip.
"Pleased to meet you, madam. My name is Suou; I'm one of Haruhi's friends," he explained, almost sparkling in the sunlight.
"Really? My goodness, well, aren't you just adorable?" The landlady complimented, a total switch in her former demeanor as she was greeted with his presence up close.
"We're just stopping; we didn't mean to cause a scene. I'm sorry."
"Oh, it's no problem," she giggled, moving towards Haruhi. "I'll stop by later with snacks for you and your friends.”
With a loud sigh, Haruhi began the way up the steps leading to her home, an eager group trailing behind. Yet she halted at the door. "Okay, here's the deal; I'm only giving you guys a quick peak," Haruhi explained. “Today was meant to be time for just Y/n and "Today was meant to be time for just Y/N and me.”
"But look, I brought you a gift, Haru-chan!" Honey told her, holding up a box full of delicious sweets, all decorated differently and delicately.
“Those look very good,” Y/n turned towards Haruhi, who was entranced by the expensive goodies. “Maybe it would be fun for us all to be together." She quietly commented, glancing hopefully at her friend.
"Fine, I guess I'll make some tea," Haruhi caved in, unlocking the door and gesturing the group inside her home.
"What a hovel," Hikaru commented, gaining a flick to the back of his head from Y/N. "Ow!"
"Be nice," She muttered back quietly, following Haruhi in.
"A wood-built two-bedroom unit—that's normal for a commoner family of two," Kyoya voiced, the group looking around the apartment in something mixed with awe and confusion.
"Haruhi's such a pipsqueak; at least we know she won't hit her head on the low ceilings," Kaoru noticed.
"Well, I think it's a super-cute little room!" Honey exclaimed.
"It's nice; I like your fridge color," Y/n admired, nodding repeatdly next to Honey as the two plastered on overexaggerated grins of happiness.
"You don't have to struggle to compliment it," Haruhi grumbled.
"Hold on. Are we supposed to take off our shoes too?" Honey pointed to Haruhi's shoes that were by the door.
"Please, if you don't mind," she voiced, and the group followed, taking off their shoes.
"Thanks for inviting us in!" The fellow members thanked, walking over to the table.
"This place is quite unpleasant; I think I may have underestimated commoner housing. Okay, we are going to have to squeeze. Y/N, come by me and let's all put our knees to our chests," Tamaki commanded the group. Y/n scurried by the boy at his command, sitting next to him as Mori took up the space on her other side. It was clear that the larger group was cramped in the smaller room, all smushed against one another as Haruhi got the goodies prepared.
"I'm going to go make us some tea," Haruhi told them as she walked over to her stove.
"Oh! Do you need help?" Y/n slowly stood up, squishing around with the group stuck at her side, but she was yanked back down by Mori pulling her. "Oh!"
"Hey. Here's an idea: why don't you make us this? It's black tea our father bought us as a souvenir from Africa, so try it," Hikaru suggested, and he pulled out the container magically from his side, passing it onto the host.
"Mori-senpai, are you okay?" Y/n whispered over to him, but the boy just nodded, gently removing his arm away from her upper arm and going forth to look forward.
"Um sure, no problem," Haruhi accepted the tea, moving over to her kitchen.
"It's best served as milk tea; do you have milk?" Kaoru inquired.
"I think, when was the last time that I bought some milk?" Haruhi thought to herself.
"Stop it; what the hell are you doing?" Tamaki yelled in a whisper. "Don't be so mean to her, you idiots!"
"What do you mean?" The twins asked.
"I know you're trying to embarrass her by asking for that African tea. Look! She has no idea how she's supposed to prepare it! We are trying to keep Y/n hap-" He quickly fake coughed. "Haruhi, trying to keep Haruhi happy and respect her."
"What if she doesn't even have a teapot?" Kaoru added.
"And she's too embarrassed to tell us that she doesn't!" Hikaru assumed. "I'm sorry, Haruhi; you don't have to go to all that trouble." He stuck out his hand, reaching for her.
"What? It's no trouble. Besides, I've already made it," she told him, finishing up pouring it.
"Man, that was a close one, boss," Kaoru sighed.
"We have been reduced by commoners' wisdom," Tamaki told the twins, whispering over to them on his other side, the three boys breathing a sigh of relief at the fact the tea was able to be created.
"What do you mean, sir?" Hikaru asked.
"Nothing we know to be true in our world holds true here. We have to be careful how we react. One little off-handed remark could break Haruhi's heart, which would get Y/n upset and then break hers too. That means in this fight, the first person to embarrass Haruhi loses," Tamaki told them.
"Well guys, the tea is ready. I'm sorry that not all of the cups match," Haruhi apologized.
"Don't worry about it, Haruhi-chan," Y/n voiced. "I'll even have some tea," she told her.
"You're taking off your mask? Like right now? In front of all of us?" Tamaki started to fire off questions to her. Tamaki leaned in closer, to which Mori reacted by reaching in front of Y/n and pushing his shoulder away a bit in order to give Y/n some room.
"No, not fully.” She huffed quietly, some embarrassment sneaking up into her senses. “I can still cover my mouth with my hand when I'm about to take a sip or a bite of something," she explained, moving a little closer to Mori, away from the peering Tamaki.
"Go on, N/n-chan! You can choose your cake first!" Honey offered.
"I think I'll let Haruhi go first." Y/n looked towards her friend, pushing the box closer across the table. "You are letting us visit in your home.”
"Are you sure, Y/n?"
"Go on, we're rich; we eat this kind of stuff all the time," Kaoru (horribly) reassured her.
"I'll take this one then," She pointed to a vanilla piece with strawberries decorating the top, taking it on her plate and soon munching upon it.
"I'll take this chocolate one," Y/n giddily lifted it up, pushing her fork through the cake and swiftly bringing it to her lips. She used her other hand to pull down the mask and push it past her lips, all while still hiding it from the majority's view. "This is so good," she mumbled. The only ones who could catch a peak were Tamaki, who had already seen the view in its full motion, and Mori with lighter cheeks than normal.
"She's so cute!" The twins and Tamaki commented, watching her eat and forgetting about themselves. For many club members, it was a great confusion as to why the mask was always a common appearance in her outfits, but one that Kyoya had warned them about in the beginning—a backstory lying within.
"Here, Y/n, take this chocolate piece on top of my cake; you like chocolate, right?" Mori picked it up with his fork and placed it on her plate.
"Yeah, I do!" She looked happily at him, taking the piece and soon moving it towards her mouth. "Thank you, Mori-senpai," He just shrugged but moved over closer and rested an arm behind her, leaning on it as he took in the subtle views of Y/n’s lips munching onto the dessert. It was shocking to Mori how much seeing the oral part of one's face could totally make an appearance.
"Why didn't we think of that?" Hikaru yelled, anime tears falling from his, Kaoru, and Tamaki's eyes.
"I should have been sharing chocolate with her," Tamaki whined.
"Why'd we let him trick us?!" Kaoru wondered sadly.
"Eating all that cake sure wet my appetite," Honey sighed.
"Yeah, isn't it lunchtime about now?" Hikaru realized.
"Well then, what's for lunch?" Four of the members asked the tired girl.
"Mori-senpai," Y/n nudged his shoulder a little, gaining his attention. "Do you think Haruhi is okay with all of us? I mean, this was all unannounced, and we are now asking her to do all these things; I don't want to upset my friend," she worried, looking at him.
"She's okay; you are a good friend. Don't worry," He patted her head once, the calloused fingers resting in the different buds of hair on the top of her head. His fingers ever so slightly nudged their way beneath the hair before a noise snapped him out of his thoughts.
"Well, if that's what you want," Haruhi began. Mori speedily removed his hand from such a position and focused his attention back onto the table. "I do have a friend who runs a nice little sushi shop nearby. So I can just give him a call; his stuff is pretty high quality."
Tamaki looked at her weirdly, grabbing a piece of paper and scribbling on it soon enough, handing it to her with a very suspicious expression.
"Be careful, Haruhi; just because the sushi's packaging says 'premium' doesn't mean that it's high quality," she read out loud. "I'm not stupid; I could figure that out on my own." She turned to him.
"How could you do that to me? Daddy even tried to look casual and not embarrass you like Y/n would have wanted.” To which the girl mentioned just shared a glare with her friend.
"I'd really like it if you made us something for lunch, Haru-chan," Honey voiced happily.
"No, Honey-senpai!" Hikaru yelled.
"How could you ask that of her?!" Kaoru added.
"Don't upset her; try to restrain yourself!" Tamaki commented.
"I guess I could whip something up, but it's going to take me some time," Haruhi told Honey.
"We can wait," Y/n piped up. "I can also help you cook; I know a few things." She mumbled, standing up but getting fingers wrapped around her wrist once again. "I promise i'm not that bad Mori-senpai," She laughed and he removed his fingers, watching her walk away. "It's the least I could do."
"Why didn't we think of that?" the twins whined.
"This means that we will be able to taste Y/n's cooking," Tamaki said.
"I'm going to have to go to the supermarket again," Haruhi sighed.
"We're coming with you!" The twins spoke.
"Me too, me too!" Honey agreed, Y/n nodding her head eagerly, now the whole group in a place where they were wanting to go with.
"Yay! Commoners' supermarket! Commoners' supermarket!"
"This is going to be fun!" Honey yelled, running after Mori as they began to pile out of the room. Yet quickly Haruhi noticed the disappearance of two prominent members.
"Well, that's it, So much for having the day off." She peaked through the other room, seeing Y/n and Tamaki by her mother's shrine. "Hey senpai, Y/n, are you guys coming?"
"We are; I just thought it would be good to pay our respects," Y/n told her. "She's pretty, like you, Haruhi. I'll meet you outside." She stood up, going out of the apartment where the other members waited.
"Your mother, she seems smart," Tamaki turned towards Haruhi; nonetheless, with the different circumstances of the girl joining the group, friendships were flourishing all around and especially between the blonde and secret girl.
"Yeah, she was a lawyer," Haruhi informed him, a small smile drifting onto her lips.
"I bet she was a great one, I can tell. Trust me, you can't fool these eyes, Haruhi." Tamaki spoke very softly, his once more energetic demeanor toned down to share respect toward an important woman in his friend's life.
"I'm not so sure about that senpai," Haruhi deadpanned. "She really was a great lawyer.” And with her comment, the girl got up, waiting for Tamaki to walk out with her, but as soon as he stood, a mysterious banana peel came into view, where the male slipped, falling on top of Haruhi. His hands held up his upper frame, just looming over her as he took in her features for any injuries.
"Are you okay Haruhi?"
"I'm fine, but you're kind of heavy," she huffed.
"I'm home, Haruhi! Hey, why'd you leave the door open?" Her father walked in, spinning around in their dress.
"Welcome home, dad," Haruhi muttered, her father's eyes laid on the man on top of their daughter. "So dad, how was work?"
Tamaki started to freak out, his mind running with thoughts about how they would react, how Y/n would react, and that the man standing at the door was truly Haruhi's father.
Haruhi's father walked over, throwing Tamaki off into the wall. "I'm sorry, I hated having to leave you home alone last night. You must have been lonely,"
"That sound, he hit really hard," Haruhi’s eyes widened at the fear of her fathers strength and the undoubted pain her club mate must be in.
"Ah, my arm has been bothering me; I sure could use a cup of hot tea,"
"Hot tea? I'll get it for you. Haruhi, your father wants hot tea; do you use firewood to boil it?" Tamaki started to rush all around the place.
"Oh, look at that; I've seem to come across a little pest. Would you like to tell me why you're addressing my daughter with such informality, young man?" Haruhi's father questioned, yanking on the young man's shirt to pull him back near him.
"Hey, is everything okay here, boss?" Hikaru poked his head through the door, the rest of the club behind him.
"Check it out; the person we passed downstairs is Haruhi's father," Kaoru realized.
"Hikaru, Kaoru, help me out here," Tamaki begged, lying on the floor.
"It's nice to meet you, Haruhi's dad. We're good friends of your daughter's, the Hitachiin brothers," they introduced, stepping on Tamaki to reach the man.
"So you are a crossdresser, aren't you?" Kaoru questioned.
"You're the first real corssdresser we've ever seen!" Hikaru told them.
"Sorry about him; he's a lady's man, if you know what I mean."
"He's a pheromone machine. In fact, I bet he's fooled around with more ladies than you can count," Kaoru explained with great exclamation, both of the twins highlighting the negative behaviors of their club leader.
"He likes to fool around, huh?" An irk mark appeared on Ranka's face.
"I'm not a lady's man! I don't like your daughter; I only like a different girl. I'm being completely honest here; I care about Haruhi like she's my own daughter, same with Y/n!" The man stood up, flaring his hands all about. It was clear to Haruhi’s father that the blonde was no true threat, and thus he retreated his more intimating demeanor with the other members.
"I get it; you must be the host club I've heard so much about!" Haruhi's father realized. "You certainly are a fine-looking bunch of men and a very pretty woman." He turned to Y/n, pawing at her hair. "I'm not sure which of you men I like most; all of you just call me Ranka? It's the professional name I use."
"Professional name? You mean like a stage name?" Honey asked.
"Exactly like that, Mitsukuni," Ranka smiled at him.
"Hold on. How did you know my name, sir?"
"You two are third years, Haninozuka Mitzukuni and Morionzuka Takashi." Ranka looked towards them. "You twins are first years and so is Takahashi Y/n; you are in the same class as Haruhi as well."
"Oh, I'm so sorry, I didn't know you were Haruhi's father," Y/n apologized, bowing over and over in her seat. "You're so gorgeous and I was so inconsiderate; I should have done research to be prepared-"
"Don't worry, sweetie, I have heard a lot about you already!" She smiled.
"So Haruhi has told you about us?" Hikaru asked.
"No, just Takahashi, but Kyoya has told me about you two over the phone.”
"You truly are an amazing person, Ranka." The rest of the group looked oddly at this Kyoya, who plastered on a grateful grin. "We have been entrusted with the care of his special daughter; it's only natural that we introduce ourselves and give him periodic reports. Ordinarily that would be your job, wouldn't it?" Kyoya looked over at the shy Tamaki, who faced away—knees to his chest—from the others.
"I'm impressed the club has such a capable president!" Ranka admired. At the unknown notion that her father was communicating with Kyoya for a long period of time, his daughter jumped in anger at being left out of the light. She angrily packed up her purse and stood walking towards the door. "Haruhi, where are you going?"
"The supermarket, alright?" She rested her hand at the doorknob and looked back at Y/n. "I have to go shopping; Y/n is coming with, and the rest of you will stay here; try to behave yourselves.”
Y/n jumped up, waving goodbye to the group and rushing after Haruhi.
"Thank you, Haruhi!" She thanked, a small blush appearing on the said girl's cheeks.
"It-it's nothing; let's just get going." She stuttered, taking Y/n's hand and dragging her out of the door.
"Wait! We wanted to go to a commoners supermarket," Hikaru called out.
"I wouldn't bother; once she has made her mind up, she'll never change it!" Ranka lightly chuckled. She then explained how Haruhi has made most of the decisions on her own, like when she transferred to Ouran High School.
"I hope you boys know I'm thankful for you, and Y/n, since she met you, she seems happier. She's enjoying herself; wouldn't you think so, Suou Tamaki?" Ranka turned to the boy, who was now in a closet, basking in his sadness as mushrooms popped up around.
"You know who I am?"
"Of course, I've heard a thing or two about when Haruhi was trying to get Y/n to join the group," Ranka smiled. "You're the one that didn't realize Haruhi was a girl until the last moment. You're clueless, aren't you? Pretty pathetic. Now that we've gotten all the introductions out of the way, how would you boys like to have a little fun?"
"Why didn't he tell me? I had no idea Kyoya-senpai has been calling my dad and giving him updates," Haruhi expressed tiredly.
"He might have felt it was important, I mean, he just wants to be involved in your life, it's easy to tell how much he loves you." Y/n patted her shoulder and then pulled her into a side hug. "You have to admit you're an independent person; it's not a bad thing, but sometimes other people want in too.”
"Yeah," she grinned, looking at Y/n. "You're also independent yourself, you know? Worse than me." She nudged her shoulder back, causing Y/n to laugh.
The rest of the Host Club members stayed back with Ranka, all sneakily looking at Y/n and Haruhi. Ranka wore a long coat, glasses, and a scarf to better hide their appearance as the rest of the boys followed along, hiding behind different objects and podiums.
"So we're going to follow them to the supermarket?" The twins questioned.
"This is what you meant by 'fun'?" Kyoya asked.
"Yes! I call it the stalking game." She threw them back a thumbs up, covering her face at the moment.
"What an attractive group of young men!" A woman whispered to another.
"In all honesty, I have a completely selfish reason for bringing you out with me. I want to be seen with a bunch of cute boys!" Ranka exclaimed, taking her glasses off and showing off her face.
At the supermarket, they watched Haruhi look at vegetables with Y/n at her side.
"OO! Haruhi, what about these vegetables?" She held up some lettuce. "Do you need this? Wait, it doesn't look as nice as the lettuce in the salads at my home." Y/n stuck a finger to her chin, looking at the vegetable oddly.
"I doubt it is; yours is most likely grown in your garden," Haruhi laughed. "I could still use it for something else; feel free to put it in the basket."
"Thank you, Haruhi! Shopping is kind of fun."
"You don't go shopping?"
"Nope, I've only been to a store a few times, including our journey here earlier today," Y/n told her, wandering off to look at some coffee and bringing it back.
“Do you really think it is necessary to follow her around like this?” Tamaki and Ranka peeked out from behind an aisle filled with different canned goods. “Are you that worried about her?”
“As you know, Haruhi lost her mother at a young age, and afterwards she took on all of the chores and shopping by herself. I decided to start following her whenever she would leave the house; maybe I’m just being overprotective?” Ranka sighed, patting her cheeks in deep thought. “I worry about her all the time; I’m the only one who can protect her, you know? Either she does not know how to depend on others or refuses to. She’s always been so independent and so strong. And she has this uncanny ability to affect others without even realising it.”
“That’s true; I’ve seen it." The president stared off, agreeing with the parental figure. He watched the two girls, Y/n nudging along the shoulder of Haruhi as they giggled off about something. They were finding pure, simple enjoyment in the task, truly enjoying one another's company.
The girls didn't notice Honey, who was being pushed by Mori in the back, or the twins looking around themselves. "Hey Tamaki-senpai, what are you doing here?" Y/n turned around to look at the man.
"I followed you guys here so I could carry your shopping basket; you know how Daddy loves accessories." He awkwardly chuckled, ripping the basket away from her hands.
"Tamaki! What should we make?" Y/n grabbed him, dragging him over to a new section. "Isn't it so amazing how this place is set up and all the foods?” The girl excitedly took a turn of her head back to her female friend, “Haruhi! Come over and look with us!”
He looked down at her, admiring her, quiet for a moment before snapping out of his thoughts and joining in the conversation. "Yeah, we should make a stewpot, ones with lots of meat but no chrysanthemums," Tamaki told them.
"Does that sound okay, Haruhi? I'll help you make it!" Y/n beamed, looking at Haruhi intently.
"That's fine.”
"Here, Tamaki, take some chrysanthemum! You're favorite!" Ranka put more into his bowl, piling it up on top of the stew. "Y/n, you adorable girl, take some extra meat!”
"Ah, thank you, Ranka!" She grinned cheerily underneath her mask. "We did a good job." Y/n looked over at Haruhi, lifting up a spoonful of some of the stew to her lips.
"Yeah, we did,” a soft hum left the girls lips before opening them up wider to take in the tasteful flavors of the stew. Ranka looked at her daughter, engaging with the other girl happily. It was clear that a certain host member of the group brought out more vibrant emotions from their daughter, and to admire the simple experience between the two girls caused his soul to shine a little brighter.
Ranka laughed to herself, picking up a spoonful from their own bowl, "Alright, Haruhi, dear, try some of mine!”

Random QL Superlatives: 2024 Edition
It seems @lurkingshan has begun the end of year listicle game. Time to shout out our faves.
Presented (mostly) in the order I watched them.
Favorite Blorbo of the Year: Dynamite in Cooking Crush
I love when a show reveals that someone who has been upbeat or strong is actually carrying a ton of pain. Learning about how Dynamite suffered so much because of his family touched me to my core, and forever solidified the friendship he has with Samsee and Prem.
Favorite Use of Visual Comedy: I Became the Main Role of a BL Drama
This show really had everything, and more than anything it had some of the best visual gags of the year. There is so much humor in the framing of scenes in this show. It was a genuine delight, and I'm so happy I'll get to see Aoyanagi Hajime again next year.
Favorite Facial Hair: Gu Jing in VIP Only
This show ended up rather flat, but damn do I think about this man's face sometimes.
Favorite Disappointment: Last Twilight
This show really could have been great if it didn't fuck up so badly.
Favorite Existential Crisis: Love For Love's Sake
The way this show telegraphed that it would be heavy, and then still managed to gut the audience, is one of the most impressive things I got to witness this year. I love that this show left people with so many different interpretations that don't contradict each other.
Favorite Use of Omegaverse: Tadaima, Okaeri
Yes, there were two BL omegaverse shows this year. No, I did not enjoy the other one. I was instead overinvested in the success of my gay dads and their kids every week. HIKARU IS OUR HERO!
Favorite Use of Food: She Loves to Cook, and She Loves to Eat 2
I love this show with my whole being. If the Japanese don't figure out a way to get this cast to crossover with What Did You Eat Yesterday? honestly what is even the point of putting queer people on TV?
Favorite Reunion Romance: Perfect Propose
I really loved that this show was about two childhood friends both at the end of their ropes. I also loved the way this show used a questionable sexual encounter to jumpstart the dynamic. I'm so glad Hirokuni quit that nasty job, because this was so difficult to watch after having left a very difficult workplace.
Favorite Cast Dynamics: Ossan's Love Returns
"We are family!" In their 3rd or 4th outing, depending on how you want to look at it, I continue to be obsessed with Haruta, Kurosawa, Maki, and their extended network. I loved seeing Haruta and Maki working on their relationship, and I loved seeing them all grapple with the changes in their lives. I hope I never have to fight my in-laws in my kitchen.
Favorite Version of Tay Tawan: Cherry Magic Thailand
Tay Tawan was at his most charming as Karan. I'm so glad that Tay and New are able to work together again.
Favorite Version of Cherry Magic: The Cherry Magic Anime
Despite my opinion that Cherry Magic TH is the best version of Cherry Magic, I still think the anime is my favorite. The characters have an ugliness to them in this version that I really love.
Favorite Use of Yukata: Love is Better the Second Time Around
Despite my qualms with the final arc of this show, I still think about the way this show handled its second chance romance and especially the way it handled sex. Also, this show has a great visual gag in a woman who doesn't deserve this physically restraining a man from proposing to her.
Favorite Performances: The Cast of Unknown
I really think this is my favorite cast of the year. I really loved the way they all played together, and loved the handling of growing up in this show.
Favorite Use of a Mirror: Memory in the Letter
To be clear, I do not recommend this show. However, I was very impressed with all of the acting and technical work around the mirror in this show.
Favorite Show About Actors: At 25:00 in Akasaka
I really loved the way Niihara and Komagine played actors in this show. It's rare that a character withholding the truth of their feelings works out this well. This is one of the best things I watched this year.
Favorite Boy: Igarashi Daichi from Ossan no Pants ga Nandatte Ii Janai ka!
Not BL, but I love Daichi so much that he gets a shout out here. I love that he wasn't a manic pixie dream gay, that he was allowed to be angry, and that he was allowed to be imperfect. Daichi is now forever a part of my soul.
Favorite Rambutan Enjoyer: Venice in Marahuyo Project
Venice is so funny to me. I love that she's not the brightest one in the group, but she understands everything important. She protects Archie because she understands how hurt and scared he is. She accepts everyone who joins their group unquestioningly. She is eating in almost every scene. She is perfect.
Favorite Flirt: Vee in San's Dreams in Century of Love
I think we should let Offroad flirt with Daou more in future shows.
Favorite Narrative: Knock Knock, Boys!
This is favorite show from Thailand this year. I loved the use of every story in this show. The kindness pouring out of this show was really something special. I loved that this show never made fun of Almond for being a version, let Latte have positive relationships with his exes, let Thanwa dress like a normie, and treated Peak's closeted storyline with immense respect. I look forward to showing it to many more people.
Favorite Back: Mahasamut in Love Sea
I loved the way Fort played this man, and I love that we got another BL romantic lead that doesn't look dehydrated. More romantic leads should get to deck abusive fathers in BL.
Favorite Collector of Marbles: Takara in Takara no Vidro
A rare version of the Knowing blessed us this year in Takara. He was overwhelmed by Taishin's naivete, and I really loved seeing a character who absolutely knew who he was. I loved watching a character manage obsessive tendencies, and I loved how he spent much of the show holding back because he was afraid of himself. What a blessing these two were.
Favorite Use of a Workplace: The Trainee
I really loved that GMMTV used one of their best production houses to tell a story about interns in a production house. It was genuinely refreshing to see a workplace show from Thailand where everyone involved understood the work they were portraying. This was a really solid ensemble piece.
Favorite Homo: Shion in Twilight Out of Focus
I love this pink-haired boy. He was loud and competent. He was clear in what he wanted. He said plainly that he wanted a boyfriend, and HE WON. For everyone who got called slurs in their youth, Shion is for you.
Favorite Second Chance: Let Free the Curse of Taekwondo
Hwang Da Seul was determined to get it right this time, and boy did she! This show did a wonderful job establishing the teen romance, justifying its separation, and earning its reunion. Best BL of the year.
Favorite Adaptation: Love in the Big City
Also not BL technically, but there's no way we make a list of shows form this year without acknowledging Nam Yoon Su's incredible performance as Go Yeong and the efforts of literally everyone involved in this show. If there's one show you need to watch this year, it's this one.
Favorite Angry Outburst: Qi Lu in Blue Canvas of Youthful Days
I loved the way Qi Lu got mad about Qian Xiao holding back with him. It's the most I've enjoyed a character being wrong this year. It was the exact right response for a character like him. He knew who he was, what he was feeling, and that Qian Xiao was feeling it, too.
Favorite Cross-Cultural Exchange: Love in the Air: Koi no Yokon
We've had more than a few Thai adaptations of Japanese works. This is the first time MAME work crossed over to Japan, and it's been so cool seeing how much the Japanese team really loves Love in the Air. I feel no competition between the two adaptations of this novel, because it's clear that the Japanese show is a huge fan of the Thai show. It makes so many loving homages to the source work that it's clear this is a passion project for many people involved. It's so cool that we're now seeing Japan adapt Thai works, and I'm so excited to see where this takes us next.

FRIENDS-Twin Fight

"You're what?"
"We're pretending to fight in order to get Haruhi to let us go to her house." Hikaru and Kaoru said simultaneously, mischievous grins adorning their faces. (Y/N) and the twins were in her clubs kitchen after the host club ended and they were updating her on their current scheme. "Two questions," (Y/N) started, holding up two fingers. "Firstly: why? Secondly: 'her'?" The twins opened their mouths to respond but quickly shut them, a panicked look growing on their faces, "U-Uh..."
That told her everything she needed to know. (Y/N) chuckled and sent them a comforting smile, "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. About Haruhi or your little escapade." Hikaru and Kaoru sighed in relief, but that breath was quickly sucked back in at her next words. "I have to say though, I am a little hurt that you two kept that from me... you usually share everything with me." She pouted.
The twins immediately shot up to their feet, "I-It wasn't like that! If it was revealed that Haruhi was a girl-!" (Y/N)'s joyous laughing made them halt in their explanation. "You guys! I'm just teasing!" It was Hikaru's and Kaoru's turn to pout. The twins looked to each other out of the corner of their eyes and knew what the other was thinking. They approached the girl, their trademark devilish grins on their faces. Hikaru and Kaoru each placed a hand under (Y/N)'s chin, lifting her head to make eye contact. "Now that's not very nice of you, doll. We're the ones who are supposed to be teasing you. You deserve a punishment." The twins said in an alluring tone, their grins never leaving.
(Y/N) blushed at their advance and enticing words at first. Key words: at first. Her eyes quickly narrowed, "Do that, and I'll never cook or bake for you two again." She said with a tone of finality. "Ack!" Hikaru and Kaoru instantly backed off, causing the girl to giggle. "That's what I thought!" It was (Y/N)'s turn to smirk, making the boys blush. She then turned to the counter next to her. "I believe the macaron shells are all cooled off by now..." She had mumbled to herself, starting to assemble the sandwich cookies.
Hikaru and Kaoru watched (Y/N), thinking. 'I can't believe she has such a hold on us...' "Here, my kohai." (Y/N) said, handing the twins a plate of pink and blue macarons. Hikaru and Kaoru smiled largely, taking the plate, "Thanks, doll!" The twins each took one and were about to take a bite but suddenly paused, "Hey," They started. "These are like the macarons you made us when we first met." (Y/N) smiled, "Yeah! They are!" Hikaru and Kaoru smiled in turn at the fond memory. "Wait a minute," The twins started once again. "This gives us an idea." They mischievously grinned at each other before turning to their senpai. (Y/N) gave them a confused look, "Huh?"
*Time Skip, Next Day*
"Wow." Was all (Y/N) could say as she took in the sight in front of her. "You guys really went for it, huh?" She questioned Hikaru and Kaoru with wide (e/c) eyes that never left their hair. "We sure did!" The twins said together with proud grins. Hikaru and Kaoru had found (Y/N) before classes started to show her their new look for their scheme. Hikaru had dyed his hair a bright pink while Kaoru dyed his hair a bright blue.
"You know," Hikaru started. "We really have to thank you," Kaoru continued. "Thanks to you, you gave us the idea for our new hair. It'll really help us sell our 'fight'." They ended together, their trademark grins adorning their face. (Y/N) raised an eyebrow in question, "What? How did I give you two the idea for pink and blue hair?" Before the twins could answer, the chime of the bell rang out, signaling the start of class soon.
"Awe, it's time to go." Hikaru and Kaoru said, disappointment in their tone. (Y/N) chuckled, "I'll check up on you guys at lunch, I want to see your little plan in action." The twins smile at this, "Alright, see you then, senpai!" Right before the three of them went their separate ways, Hikaru and Kaoru called out, "Oh! And senpai?" The girl stopped in her tracks and looked to her kohai, her head tilted in curiosity. "To answer your question, your pink and blue macarons gave us the idea. It just goes to show how much we like them, and how much we like you." Hikaru and Kaoru said, sending a wink to their favorite senpai. (Y/N) blushed at their words and their wink, speechless. The twins chuckled, pleased with the reaction they received from the girl. They turned to leave, waving behind them, "See you at lunch, doll."
After they had turned the corner, (Y/N) shook her head and thought to herself. 'I swear, ever since they realized that I'm friends with Honey, Mori, and Kyoya, they've been more flirty than usual. I wonder what's up with them?' She then shrugged, heading to her first class.
*Time Skip*
Lunch time had arrived and (Y/N) was slightly eager to see the twins in action. Unfortunately, she was 10 minutes late due to helping out a classmate with their work. When she entered the lunchroom she paused. She wasn't sure what to expect with the twins fight, but she wasn't expecting to see Hikaru and Kaoru to be throwing multiple different objects at each other without any shame. 'Huh?! Was that Honey and Mori senpai?!'
"I see you finally learned about the current problem in the host club." A smooth voice said next to (Y/N). She turned to see Kyoya, also taking in the scene of the twins. "U-Uh, yeah. I heard about it but wasn't expecting it to be like this." (Y/N) replied. "(Y/N)-chan!" A new voice called out. Said girl turned this time to see Honey and Mori approaching her and Kyoya. (Y/N) sighed in relief, "I'm glad to see you two are okay." Honey giggled, "Yeah, that was pretty crazy, huh?"
"So," (Y/N) started. "How long has this been going on?" She gestured to the twins who finally stopped throwing things at each other, storming off in opposite directions. "Since yesterday, Haruhi made a tactless comment about them and that seemed to be the catalyst." Kyoya answered, pushing up his glasses. (Y/N) internally giggled, finding it amusing how Kyoya indirectly blamed Haruhi for the twins tantrum.
"I'm pretty worried about them..." Honey commented, his tone sad. (Y/N) started to feel bad, her friends were worried over nothing but they didn't know that... but she did. With one sentence, she could melt her friends worries away. But she promised Hikaru and Kaoru that she wouldn't say anything. 'I need to stay away from everyone until Hikaru and Kaoru are done with their ruse...'

They didn't answer her, but they did go in for a hug. Hikaru was on her left and Kaoru was on her right, wrapping their arms around her shoulders. (Y/N) was slightly surprised at their sudden tenderness, but welcomed it. She returned the hug by placing her hands on their arms and snuggling into her favorite pair of twins.

Write twins better in three easy steps!
I meet so many people who act so stupid about this to my face, and I basically never see a set of identical twins that are well written in fiction, so here's a couple tips about identical twins. Mostly as a reference for writing them, but also so you can tell people to stop acting like an asshole to any twins you might know IRL.
FACT ONE:
Identical twins are two separate people.
Not one brain in two bodies
Not a hivemind that can read each other's thoughts
They don't speak in unison all the time (but might answer together if you address them as a collective and not an individual)
If they date they don't share the same partner
Can't be counted as one person for the sake of entry admission, airplane seating, employment, school tuition, or voting
Have their own names, even, and would prefer you use them instead of calling them both by the same collective name
I am eternally mad about We-Go from Kim Possible
FACT TWO:
Identical twins don't struggle telling themselves apart from each other. Your difficulty telling them apart is not something they have ever experienced themselves.
They understand the difference between looking at themself in the mirror and looking at their twin.
Yes, even as a young child.
No, they didn't have to learn the difference between a mirror and their sibling.
They never believe their twin to be themself.
They don't struggle to see themself as their own person.
They don't feel like they're looking at their own face all the time.
They don't have constant thoughts about how their sibling looks similar to themself.
The scene from The Parent Trap where one "twin" says 'OMG why do you look just like me??' just isn't realistic
FACT THREE:
Identical twins are, as a rule, not trying to actively deceive you and are sick of people assuming that.
Your difficulty in telling them apart does not mean they are trying intentionally to trick you or make you mess up
They also aren't trying to scare you or murder you and they won't like you if you tell them you're afraid of them
Dating a twin doesnt mean you're going to be parent-trapped (and if you can't tell your partner apart from their sibling, that's not a good look on you)
Some twins just go with the assumptions everyone else is making about them already and play into the stereotype, especially as kids
Literally every fictional pair of identical twins are tricksters already. Come up with something original.
Twins can still be compelling characters without leaning on these tropes
Writing a compelling pair of identical twins doesn't have to be hard if you either write them like other siblings, or understand that the stereotypes that circulate in fiction are some of the biggest issues they struggle against. Here are some good examples of compelling twin plots that I can think of, though not all of these characters are twins or identical:
Mabel's fear at the end of Gravity Falls that growing up meant that her brother would grow apart from her
Stanley Pines struggling to measure up to his parent's favoritism of his brother throughout childhood, but still dedicating his adult life to getting him back when he went missing
Ty Lee running away to join the circus so she could have an identity outside of her parents' curated "matched set" of siblings in AtLA
Vash and Knives in Trigun '99 experiencing the same childhood traumas and interpreting them differently, coming away from them with opposing ideologies in adulthood
Hikaru and Kaoru's trauma over being told they were interchangeable and their desire to find someone who would treat them as individuals in Ouran High School Host Club

Classmates and finding the humanity in clichés
Content Warning: discussion of grooming and student/teacher relationships, queerphobia
Spoilers for all of Classmates
In every way, Classmates is a straightforward high school love story. High school student Kusakabe Hikaru attends Tofuya Number One High School, an all-boys school mostly populated by low-achieving students, where “if you can write your name, you can get in.” He’s one of the ones that doesn’t care about school; his passion is music, and the rock band he plays guitar in has a minor following. He bleaches and perms his hair, smokes, and drinks. When he notices the more academically-inclined Sajo Rihito mouthing the words in the choral number his class is practicing instead of singing, he assumes it’s because Sajo doesn’t care about music. That impression changes when he stumbles on Sajo practicing alone in a classroom, and he impulsively offers to tutor Sajo. The two grow closer, and their connection turns to romance.
In the afterword of the first volume of Classmates, Nakamura Asumiko wrote of her first BL series, “I wanted to go with something cliché, almost hackneyed.” It’s true, Classmates does indulge many of the standards of the genre. Kusakabe is a rocker with bleached hair who grows close to his buttoned-up, bespectacled classmate Sajo while practicing for a choral performance. That closeness turns to attraction and the two begin dating, much to the chagrin of Hara-sensei, their music teacher who carries a torch of his own for Rihito. Instead of using these clichés as shortcuts, however, Nakamura uses the reader’s familiarity to build a framework for a humanistic, multifaceted story about queer intimacy, connection, and joy.

Kalafina 「sprinter」 (Yuki Kajiura LIVE Vol.#2) - Unreleased and Unedited

Thanks to @gslin (@gslin on Twitter) for the heads-up! A mysterious account on YouTube (@FJS_Official => which is definitely not "official" but pretends to be judging by their name and handle; The account has since changed their handle to "@FJS_Channel") has uploaded an interesting audio a couple of days ago. It is presumably from Kalafina's front act performance for "Yuki Kajiura LIVE Vol.#2" held at Shibuya O-EAST on July 31, 2008. Wakana, Keiko, Hikaru and Maya (who was still a member back then) sang 4 songs in total:

Official footage exists of their "ARIA" and "Kizuato" performance (included as bonus content on the "Seventh Heaven" album) but up until recently, I think everyone believed that there were no live recordings of "oblivious" or "sprinter" featuring Maya (please correct me if I'm wrong in that regard).
When I initially saw the video on YouTube, I thought that this whole thing was fake. I feel like these days, any tech-savvy person can layer different audio tracks and make it sound like a brand-new live recording with a few tweaks here and there (especially if you factor in the growing popularity of AI). I mean, all you'd have to do is mix the original studio recording with Maya's vocals (or Maya's unofficial karaoke performance of the song) with one of the many existing live recordings of "sprinter" and voilà, you'd have created something like the above audio.
However, after listening to the audio a few times, I'm having a hard time recognising any specifics of the live performance. I'll admit, I'm not 100% familiar with every single "sprinter" performance since it's not exactly among my favourite songs but from what I can tell, Hikaru sounds a lot shakier than in any of the "official" live recordings that are out there. So yeah, this might indeed be "unreleased" and it appears to be as raw/unedited as it gets. I did a quick research but couldn't find anything on this topic so I don't think this has been posted before...
As @gslin has mentioned on Twitter, the sound quality is exceptionally well, too good for a bootleg (possibly recorded in an official manner close to the PA system?)
The video description says that it is a sound source preserved at Sony Music but I have my doubts about that. I wonder how the person who runs the account would just get access to it and be allowed to post it on a random YouTube channel. Sounds a bit fishy to me. If there are actually people out there who can get their hands on unreleased Kalafina audios, there would be more of them floating around (someone give me all those Christmas live sound sources!!!!).
But who knows, anything is possible. Maybe the venue had some of these sound sources stored (no idea if this is a common practice)? Shibuya O-EAST could have gotten rid of them (made them publicly available) after they rebranded the venue in 2021.

Ouran, Performance, Audience
Okay I said I was going to write this and I can't look at it anymore so posting. Anyway, performance in Ouran is interesting and we’ve all been chatting about it lately. Each character puts on an “act” for the guests, each character puts on another “act” for the people around them. It’s a testament to how well the characters are written that we can unravel these performances throughout the text. I still think there’s several levels of reading the characters and the text as well.
Ouran is satire- hence why they’re essentially parodying these archetypes. But Ouran is also self-aware, self-referential, and meta. Characters break the fourth wall. They’re, at varying levels, aware of being in a story. We have characters who obviously break the fourth wall (Kyoya looking right into the camera in episode 1, for example. I would say Tamaki’s “homosexual supporting cast” speech, except it’s kind of an anomaly for him) and characters who are resistant to any sort of self-reflection that might lead them to any sort of conclusions like this (Hikaru.) I will at one point go through the entire manga again and count how many times each character narrates– which, to my recollection, is uncommon outside of Haruhi (MC obvs, and framed as talking to her mother) and Kaoru (framed as talking to himself/ the audience/ Hikaru-that-lives-in-his-brain) but I could be misremembering.
This is generally played for comedic effect. Tamaki breaks the fourth wall when it’s funny. Kyoya plays dumb about plot conventions (such as “we have birthdays here?” “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”) when it’s funny for him to do so.
Anyway that’s just my setup. I want to discuss the Paris Arc, specifically whatever is going on with Kaoru.

Kaoru is an interesting character because I think the performance is a little more pronounced. There’s reason to interpret he generally controls the scripts, his host club act is a bigger deviation from his natural personality, and fundamentally, as a person, Kaoru is less solid in his sense of identity.
Which does kind of beg a question. The version of Kaoru the host club girls get is clearly fake. But the Kaoru most people get is some form of a mask. Kaoru reflects Hikaru– which is what Hikaru needs until Kaoru fears he doesn’t. Kaoru seems to take Haruhi’s assertion that he’s the “less evil one” to heart. I think neither Hikaru or Kaoru know what Haruhi is going to say is the difference between them in Episode/Chapter 5 because they themselves don’t know– aside from this very philosophical “well the one who is you is the one who is not me and the one who is not you is me etc.”
Anyway, we all kind of understand the general baseline– Hikaru is going to grow up, fall in love, and spread his wings– Kaoru is afraid this means Hikaru will leave him behind. This is the plot.
But I think a lot of this comes down to “the thing they won’t be able to share,” which is presented to us in the form of that cookie. Haruhi notes that Kaoru will just give whatever it is to Hikaru. Hikaru ultimately snaps the cookie in half and forces Kaoru to take half of it anyway. This kind of embodies the fundamental difference between them, in my book.
(Ch. 45, various spliced together pages) Hikaru: It is literally not on Hikaru’s radar that there might ever be anything that he and Kaoru do not share. He does not conceive this on any level before the Paris Arc. Kaoru will literally always be here, he is a constant that Hikaru cannot conceive losing. Hikaru’s not afraid of Kaoru abandoning him– he may be, afraid something will happen to Kaoru that will take him away, but he’s not afraid of Kaoru choosing to leave. Why would he? Kaoru is the one person who cannot betray him.
Kaoru: It is a given that Hikaru will one day leave. It is simply the only way. Hikaru will grow up and, for various reasons, Kaoru will not grow with him. And Hikaru will choose to leave– this will not be a betrayal, it’s just how life works when you’re not the main character in your story. Your carriage turns back into a grubby ole pumpkin and you’re left all alone.
After the cookie scene, Kaoru tells Hani that he has feelings for Haruhi. This is, in my opinion, when Kaoru takes the reins of the narrative. Of the carriage, so to speak. The carriage in the anime exists on the condition that no one acknowledges that they’re in a love story and “breaks” the found family. Kaoru saying he’s in love with Haruhi steers the narrative on the course to the inevitable.
Which is great!
Except is Kaoru in love with Haruhi?
My hypothesis: it literally doesn’t matter. Kaoru’s feelings for Haruhi do not drive the narrative. Kaoru talking about it does. He could be lying. He could be mistaken. He could be genuinely in love with her. It could be an idle crush. It doesn’t matter. It’s the performance of this love for the appropriate audience (aka: Hani, Hikaru etc.) that matters.
I think the base reading of this arc is that the cookie is Haruhi. Haruhi is the one thing they can’t share, right? They can’t like, keep eating biscuits out of her mouth and licking her face if Hikaru wants her to be his girlfriend and Kaoru wants her too. While I don’t think it’s incorrect to read this as a concern Kaoru has, I don’t think it gets to the heart of the issue.
So, performance!
Kaoru puts on his little act for Hikaru throughout the Paris Arc. Generally tormenting him, ostracising him. In a way giving him a taste of what Kaoru goes through in a zillion Hika/Haru fanfictions or Kaoru’s own nightmares. This culminates in the date, where Kaoru basically brings Haruhi on the date he asked her on first (before giving it to Hikaru) and hitting every single mark that Hikaru missed. Not that anyone is enjoying themselves regardless to be honest.
And of course, at the end, he kisses her and Hikaru sees and runs off upset.
Except we, the audience, know Kaoru kisses Haruhi on the cheek. It’s a clear enough stage kiss from the art. Just close enough for us to understand that, from Hikaru’s perspective, Kaoru kissed her on the mouth. We’re bystanders, watching this plot unfold. Hikaru is Kaoru’s intended audience– that’s who he’s performing for.
So what’s the difference then between this scene.
And this scene?
Well, first: what else can be the one thing Hikaru and Kaoru can’t share? If you go one level further, I think you come to the conclusion that Hikaru is the one thing they can’t share. After all, Hikaru cannot keep giving half of himself, half of his time, energy, love, self etc. to Kaoru all the time, and grow up. They suffer a classic case of enmeshment. Kaoru determines that Hikaru needs to be shoved out of the nest– and that the only way to do that is to stab him in the back.
I don’t think Kaoru is trying to make Hikaru hate him. I do think what he’s trying to do is make Hikaru realise that he’s a person? Who is capable of betraying him, just like any other person. As long as Hikaru believes that Kaoru is “the only person he can trust,” he’s never going to grow up. By knocking himself off that pedestal in Hikaru’s eyes, Hikaru is forced to see him differently and Kaoru is prepared to accept however Hikaru might feel about him in the aftermath (though assuming he’ll drastically distance himself).
(Side note. I think Hikaru and Kaoru internalise their maid-related-trauma slightly differently. While Kaoru’s fear is abandonment, Hikaru’s fear is betrayal. They just manifest similarly because there’s a lot of crossover. This is sooo long already, I’m not getting into it unless someone asks lmao.)
Loop back to the image again then. What’s the difference here? Well, it’s still a stage kiss! They both are. But, with one fundamental difference.
Image one, Hikaru is Kaoru’s audience. He is performing to trick Hikaru (and possibly anyone else, like Hani and Mori, watching). But reality is clear to us, the reader.
Image two, you are Kaoru’s audience. He is performing to trick you. (but reality is clear to Hikaru, the participant)
Like, that’s pretty in your face huh? Faces obscured in a way that you don’t infer it as a cheek kiss as easily as you do with Kaoru and Haruhi. It’s also on the left page of the physical edition, meaning you have to skip to the next page to see the aftermath:
Kaoru’s not just tricking the audience. He’s queerbaiting the audience. Typical.
Firstly, I do think one can be led to the conclusion that if the one thing they can’t share is Hikaru, not Haruhi, that means Kaoru is not in love with Haruhi but is in love with Hikaru. In fact, I think that’s kind of the point with these panels. It’s framed as a bait-switch, which only works if the audience misinterprets the kiss. My ultimate conclusion therefore is that there is no textual romantic incest occuring. It is enmeshment at a bare minimum though. But that's another topic, another day, for somebody else.
Secondly, I think this is because the audience is, regardless, on the wrong track. Or at least not the full track. We have access to the narrative when other characters don’t, but we’re still reading the story Kaoru is telling. We’re still the audience to his performance of the story. It’s easier for Kaoru to tell a story that’s all about his brother– he’s been doing it his whole life. He’s not the main character, after all. So he’s telling us a story where the one thing they cannot share is Hikaru, telling all the other characters a story where the one thing they can’t share is Haruhi.
So the one thing they can’t share is something more nebulous. It’s the identity.
Which feels like a contradiction in a way, because the identity is Hikaru, isn't it?
They can’t be one double act, split down the middle. They can’t be one seed sprouting two leaves. They can’t be two halves of one cookie, or two halves of one soul. And the problem is, Kaoru views everything as something Hikaru has split down the middle and shared with him– and now he has to give it all back.
I don’t really think Hikaru views “their room” as being “his room, that I share with Kaoru.” But I think Kaoru does. I think Kaoru views everything as something Hikaru has shared with him, right down to his own personality, his own face. Hikaru cannot leave, cannot grow up, unless Kaoru stops pretending to be him and gives him the half of his identity back to make one whole, true Hikaru.
Only problem is, Kaoru has to cut that tricky spare leaf off. After all, when he gives Hikaru back the identity, Kaoru won’t have one. Kaoru is defined as being “the one who is not Hikaru.” My brother is Hikaru. The one who is not my brother is me. And how do you define that? When your brother is no longer there, who are you?
That’s why it’s important that Hikaru dyes his hair. Because I don’t think him dyeing his hair matters if the issue is Haruhi (Haruhi can tell them apart anyway). I don’t think it matters if the issue is Hikaru (this would not, in isolation, fix Kaoru's thought process).
It is however enough for Hikaru to be able to illustrate to Kaoru that their identity is inherently interwoven, not necessarily shared. It doesn’t matter if Kaoru is the same as Hikaru or not– because Kaoru is who he is. That may have been affected by the fact that they’re twins, but his identity is not negated by it. Kaoru's identity is not inherently a performance just because it reflects Hikaru, and he doesn't lose it when he ceases to reflect Hikaru.

Honey Senpai’s Cavity
This is a Mitsukuni x reader. This one shot takes place during the episode where he had his cavity.

Y/n smiles as she walks through the halls of Ouran Highschool, her (long/short) hair seemingly glowing as she walks the halls. She stops in front of a room where a sign above the door read “Music Room 3”.
She smiles knowing that this is the room she had been instructed to go ti by her mom. She opens the door gently and instead of the usual rose petals she was hit with a cry of pain as she steps in.
“Are you okay Honey~senpai?” Haruhi asks as she looks over at Y/n upon her arrival.
“No! I took a bite of cake and my tooth started hurting!” He cries as he holds his cheek in pain.
“Hm it appears Honey~senpai has a cavity.” Tamaki says as he leans down and inspects Honey~senpai’s tooth.
Mori leans down and looks at him as he feels his heart tense up when he remembers he didn’t remind Honey~senpai to brush his teeth.
“Um hi?” Y/n says awkwardly as she walks into the room and tries not to interrupt their conversation.
“Y/niieeee!” Honey~senpai cries as he runs towards her and hugs her tightly.
“Y/nnnn! My tooth hurts!” He cries as he clings to her.
“Yes Honey it’s called a cavity.” Y/n smiles as she hugs him back and pets his head slowly.
“What the what?! Who is that gorgeous girl and why is she coddling with Honey~senpai?!” Hikaru asks shocked as he looks at his twin.
“Maybe their close friends?” Haruhi suggests as she looks at them curiously.
“Ooo or maybe their enemies but only in privacy they can be intimate?!” Tamaki asks but everyone just ignores him and a pretend arrow strikes his left shoulder.
“Maybe their online friends?” Kaoru suggests as he holds his hand up to his chin in a thinking position.
“Ooo! Or maybe they’re best friends who secretly love each other and want to privately confess!” Tamaki says as a dramatic tear rolls down his eye but once again he was ignored which caused another arrow to strike him in his right shoulder.
“Maybe their families are partners?” Haruhi asks as she thinks.
“Maybe their lovers who can’t be together because of their families!” Tamaki shouts and that’s everyone’s last straw so they all yell.
“SHUT UP TAMAKI!” Even Honey~senpai yells but he cries and clutches his tooth as Y/n gently sits him down on the couch and hands him Usa~Chan.
A final arrow comes out and shoots Tamaki in the heart as he cries and heads to his mushroom growing corner.
“Honey you shouldn’t yell with your cavity.” Y/n says as she sits beside him on the couch when she feels a rattle shake her and the couch.
“Hmmm… seems like there is a secret going on in the Host Club.” Renge grins as she pops out of her hole in the ground sitting to her table with her tea cup full of commoners coffee.
“You’re still here?!” Hikaru asks as he looks at her scared.
“Yes you idiot. I’d never leave my dear Haruhi here with you hooligans.” She says rolling her eyes before her eyes meet Y/n’s.
“Oh my god! Honey~senpai has a lover?!” She shouts which finally pisses Kyoya off.
“Yes! I tried to hold my pateinede until they finished but I can’t take it. That is Y/n. She is Honey~senpai’s girlfriend.” Kyoya explains once he reaches his wits end.
The host clubs faces stay the same but after a few seconds their eyes all widen as they look back and forth from Kyoya to Honey and back to Kyoya.
“Really? He’s got a girlfriend?!” Hikaru and Kaoru ask in sync as they look at Honey and Y/n.
“Yes. It’s true. I know that look that they give each other. It’s the look of true love.” Tamaki gasps in shock as he comes to the realization.
“Huh. And how do you feel about this Mori? Did you know?” Haruhi asks the silent boy.
He nods as he smiles gently as if saying he’s happy for them.
“Then I guess it’s settled. We all were wrong.” Hikaru sighs as he looks down defeated.
“Except for Tamaki~San.” Y/n says as she smiles at them
“WHATTTTTT?!” The host clubs members (minus Mori and Kyoya since they both already knew) scream so loud it rattled the school.
“Yes me and Honey’s parents are enemies and we’re in a secret relationship. Though I guess not so secret since you all know. And we were best friends until we confessed privately and only Mori knew. And in private is the only way we can be intimate so that’s why I was coming to look for him. I just told my mom that I was coming to visit Kyoya.” Y/n smiles as she giggles softly at their shocked faces.
“Huh. For once the boss said something smart.” Kaoru says as the host club members agree.
“Yes thank you- what do you all mean for once?!” Tamaki shouts as he looks at them from his mushroom corner.
“It’s just that- well- nevermind Tamaki.” They sigh and get back to talking about Honey~senpai and his girlfriend.
That was the topic the host club stayed on for the entire day. It was just so shocking to them.
Y/n and Honey cuddled for the remainder of the day and answered questions for the host club. Mainly Y/n since Honeys cavity kept hurting but he smiled happy to be able to be with Y/n.

summary: leehan has been by your side your entire life. but when you start seeing him in a different light, will your friendship with him still stay the same?

Leehan has always been your constant.
From the moment you showed up to his neighbourhood at six years old knowing absolutely no one other than your parents, he was the one person who accompanied and played with you even though you knew he clearly had other preferences for games. You heard him grumbling to his mother sometimes when he thought you couldn’t hear them, but you were always silently grateful that he never stopped playing with you.
When middle school came around, you were worried about what was going to happen to your friendship with Leehan. See, Leehan was an extremely extroverted and easygoing person, who just seemed to get along with everyone without much difficulty. You, however, had to try a little harder to make friends with people due to your shyness. Leehan had made so many new friends just from the first day of middle school, and you found yourself hanging out with him less and less during school as the weeks went by, making you grow increasingly worried that he would abandon you for someone “cooler”.
“Han, you know you don’t always have to walk home with me, right?” you asked one day as the both of you were walking home from school. Although Leehan hung out with you less while you were in school, he’d always wait for you after school to go home together, and you didn’t know what to make of it. Were the both of you still friends? Or just people who lived next to each other?
“What do you mean? We’re literally neighbours,” Leehan raised an eyebrow in confusion.
“Like, you can always go hang out with your friends, I know they usually hang out after school. I can always go home by myself, you know.” you explained, turning to look at his reaction.
Leehan suddenly stopped, and you didn't realise until you were quite a few steps ahead of him. Jogging back to stand in front of him, your heart beat faster in anticipation (or dread?) at his reply.
“y/n,” he started, looking into your eyes with so much intensity you found yourself looking down at your feet to avoid eye contact instead, “you’re my best friend. Those people you’re talking about don’t know me better than you do, or longer than you have, so why bother?”
You looked up to face him. You didn't know why, but the title of 'best friend' somehow warmed your heart and made you feel sick to your stomach both at the same time. “I mean, you could always choose to hang out with them, let them get to know you better, you know?”
“You’re so silly. I’m not bailing on our daily routine just to hang out with mere acquaintances, y/n. Let’s go home now, yeah? I’m starving,” Leehan let out a laugh so melodic your breath hitched for a second, and reached out to ruffle your hair before turning to continue walking down the street like nothing had happened.
You remained rooted to the ground, mind reeling. Why was your heart beating faster than usual?
“Hey, stupid! Are you coming or not?” Leehan shouts from a distance away, snapping you out of your trance.
“I am, I am!” you shouted in reply, running after him.
Whatever this was, you were glad Leehan was still by your side.
“Are you thinking about loverboy again?” an exasperated sigh snaps you out of your daze, and you look up to see Hikaru looking at you with her eyebrow raised, Jungwon sitting beside her looking unbothered.
“I wasn’t, and who said anything about him being loverboy?” you reply defensively, sitting up to face your friends. Leehan wasn’t the only one expanding his social circle as the two of you grew older, as you found yourself becoming fast friends with Jungwon and Hikaru during middle school, your friendship lasting all the way to high school now.
“So you were thinking about Leehan,” Hikaru giggles with the kind of satisfaction someone would get after finally getting a math question right after an hour, shaking Jungwon’s shoulders in delight. "you guys are so in love it physically pains me to watch."
"I was not thinking about Leehan! And we are not in love, Hika, don't say that so loudly!" you shush Hikaru desperately, looking to Jungwon for help.
Jungwon simply shrugs, deadpanning, "She's right. You guys are stupidly in love with each other it makes me want to die."
"We aren't! I am not in love with him, and he is not in love with me. We've been neighbours for nearly our entire lives. We’ve seen each other in our awkward phases. There's no way he'd ever be interested in me in that way, ever." you defend yourself passionately, unsure why this topic is even eliciting such a huge reaction from you. The truth is, you have thought about being in a relationship with Leehan, but he seemed so out of your league that you gave up on it early.
"Oh, yeah? Then tell me why he's looking over at you with heart eyes right now." Hikaru glances behind you nonchalantly, and you turn around only to lock eyes with Leehan from across the cafeteria, sitting with five other guys, one of whom you recognise to be Taesan from your Calculus class.
Leehan brightens visibly upon meeting eyes with you, waving animatedly at you like he was seeing you for the first time in a long time. Endeared, you beam back at him before turning back to see both Hikaru and Jungwon looking at you with an 'I-told-you-so' face.
You sigh. "He's just friendly like that, okay? He would have done the same to any other friend of his."
"Who would've?" an ever-familiar voice pipes up, and you jump in shock at the sound as Leehan slides into the seat beside you, greeting your friends as he settles down. You don’t miss the hint of bitterness laced in his voice, but you choose to ignore it in case you were being delusional.
“You scared me, Han! What are you doing here, anyway?” you grumble, trying your best not to make eye contact with Leehan.
“Aw, can’t I pay a visit to my favourite person and their friends just because? Your conversation seemed more interesting than whatever the guys were talking about, anyway,” Leehan teases, his signature smile creeping up his face. You can’t help but stare at him in awe, and Hikaru definitely notices.
“Oh, really?” Hikaru pipes up, raising her eyebrows at you. “What were they talking about?”
“Jaehyun has been trying really hard to set me up with someone, and it was getting annoying, so I figured whatever you guys were talking about had to be more interesting than the pure torture I’d have to go through if I stayed there,” Leehan explains, looking at you the entire time to gauge your reaction. “So, who were you guys talking about before I came here?”
“trying really hard to set me up with someone” you turn over the words over and over again in your head. Of course someone as handsome as him would be looking for love, and of course it wouldn’t be with you. His appearance had completely changed when highschool started, his facial features more defined and his build becoming larger in general. And his nose, his nose. You would spend hours looking at it if you could, that was just how beautiful he was. And his eyes, they always seemed to light up the entire world everytime he smiled, it’s no wonder that he suddenly became so popular in highschool, girls and boys flocking to him like he was free real estate. Why, then, would he ever be interested in a nobody like you?
“y/n? y/n!” you snap out of your stupor to see Jungwon snapping his fingers in front of you, “What were you thinking about? It’s like you went to another dimension or something!”
You glance to your left and lock eyes with Leehan, who is looking at you with such a worried gaze in his eyes one would think something serious happened to you. The thought of Leehan going on a date with someone else creeps up your throat again, and you start to feel suffocated.
“I- I’m sorry, I have to go, I just remembered that I have a Calculus assignment due in thirty minutes! I’m really sorry guys, I’ll see you!” you make up a flimsy excuse hurriedly, standing up and bolting out of the cafeteria before you break down in front of everyone.
“Wait! y/n, is everything okay?” Leehan asks from behind you, but you’re too upset to bother, missing the way he watches you leave with a pained expression.
You don’t talk to Leehan for the rest of the day.
Well, you didn’t exactly have the opportunity to, considering that you had no shared classes with him that day.
Which is why you had quite the shock walking out of your Calculus class with Taesan only to see Leehan waiting for you by the door, your classmates walking by nonchalantly like it was a regular occurence (well, it was, but you just didn’t expect him to be waiting for you considering what happened earlier).
“I’ll see you tomorrow, y/n! Have fun,” Taesan greets, nodding at Leehan on his way out of school.
“Hi,” Leehan steps forward, shooting you his signature smile, and you forget how to breathe momentarily. “are you okay? You seemed a bit… out of it, earlier.”
The way his eyes soften as he speaks has your heart threatening to jump right out of your chest. You’ve been friends forever. Why does he have this effect on you?
“y/n! There it is again,” Leehan chuckles for a bit, before turning serious, “what’s wrong? You know you can tell me anything, right?”
“It’s- it’s nothing serious, Han. I’m just tired from school and all the exams coming up. Let’s just go home, hm?” You don’t give him the chance to call out your avoidance, walking ahead of him instead.
The walk home is silent, an unusual occurence considering that the usual routine was one filled with laughter and endless chatter all the way back home. You can tell that something’s on Leehan’s mind, but you decide not to probe further and wait for him to talk instead.
"So," Leehan starts as the both of you turn and walk down the street you both live in, "who were you guys talking about at lunch earlier? Do you like someone?"
"We were just talking about some friend of mine, Han, it wasn't anything important. What about you? How's the whole matchmaking thing going?" you change the topic, looking everywhere but in Leehan's direction.
Leehan hesitates. "I... actually wanted to talk to you about this. I'm supposed to go on a date with someone they picked out for me tomorrow, and I wanted to ask whether you'd be okay with it."
You stop in your tracks abruptly, and Leehan continues walking at first, then realises your absence and jogs back to you. You feel a sense of deja vu at the scene unfolding in front of you.
Your heart feels like it'd been shattered against the wall. You break out into a small smile to mask your disappointment. "Han, why do you have to ask me for permission? You're your own person. You can do whatever you want."
Leehan’s shakes his head, eyes softening. He looks like he’s withholding something. “I just thought I should ask you first, since… since we’re supposed to go home together. If I go on that date, I’ll be bailing on our routine.”
You try your hardest to let out a chuckle that doesn’t sound too fake, hoping Leehan doesn’t pick up on it. He doesn’t say anything, and you take it as a sign to continue. “Hannie, why am I standing in the way of you and a potential partner? Go.”
Don’t go, you so badly want to say, but restrain yourself. Why should he sacrifice his love life for someone like you? Compared to him, whose very existence brings so much joy to so many people’s lives, you’re… nothing.
Leehan looks at you with what you make out to be a longing look on his face, like he’s expecting you to say more.
“But y/n, we’ve never not gone home from school together, ever. Even on days where our schedule didn’t line up, we’d wait for each other. If I go on this date, it’d be the first time our routine is broken,” Leehan strangely sounds like he’s pleading with you.
“Are you trying to get me to say no? You can do whatever you want, Han, but I think this is a good opportunity.” you retort, your words laced with a hint of bitterness that you don’t bother masking.
“Who knows if this would be the beginning of the end of our routine if I go? y/n, is this not important to you? This is one of the only moments I get to spend time with you, one-on-one, and I cherish it. A lot. But it looks like it doesn’t go both ways,” Leehan’s brows furrow together as he gets agitated by the second.
You don’t know why you’re being so avoidant, and the next few words come out of your mouth before you can react to stop them, “You think I don’t cherish this? Why are you so worked up about this, anyway? It’s not like we’re dating or anything-”
“And that’s the problem!” Leehan interrupts, raising his voice a little in frustration. He’s never gotten frustrated with you before, and you look on the situation with worry.
“Every second that passes whenever I’m with you pains me more than you can believe because I know my feelings are unrequited. Do you know how hard it is to be standing here in front of you and not be able to reach out and hold you anytime I want, not be able to call you mine, and not be able to put a label on our relationship instead of this infuriating ‘best-friendship’? I was hoping you’d stop me from going on that date, y/n. But you didn’t. I guess that’s enough evidence for how stupid I am to have fallen so, so deeply in love with you.
But no matter how hard I try, I can’t stop. I’ve loved you ever since we were dumb six-year-olds playing house in your front yard, and I still love you now.”
You release a breath you didn’t know you were holding in. Leehan is looking at you with such an intense gaze in his eyes you feel small.
Say something! Your heart screams, but your brain refuses to listen.
Leehan scoffs at your silence and looks down at his feet. “Goodbye, y/n.”
At that, he turns around and walks towards his house, and you’re just now realising that you’d already reached your front porch.
You stay rooted to the ground as you watch his slumped figure enter his house, internally screaming for you to say something while nothing comes out of your mouth.
Leehan isn’t at his usual spot outside your Calculus class the next day, and you can’t hide your disappointment.
Earlier this morning, you were turned away by Leehan’s lovely mom as she told you apologetically that Leehan had already left for school by the time you knocked on his door, and he wasn’t with his group of friends at his usual spot at the cafeteria today. Even Hikaru and Jungwon noticed the change in your behaviour, opting to rub your back comfortingly and say nothing.
“Do you want to talk about it?” Taesan offers, picking up on your sorry state. “There’s a new cafe that recently opened nearby, we could go there and talk.”
And that’s how you end up sitting across from Taesan in the newly-opened cafe a few blocks away from school, with cups of iced matcha lattes in front of you.
Taesan listens attentively as you recount what happened yesterday, though he seems unfazed, like he’d heard about the situation beforehand.
You pause. “Did he tell you this already?”
“Well, yeah. I just wanted to get your perspective on the whole situation,” Taesan explains, shrugging. “So, how do you feel about him?”
You sigh. You’d had time to think it over yesterday, but your feelings are still as confusing as ever.
“I don’t want to lose him.” you state. “He’s been there for me my entire life, and I have been there for him, too. I just, I can’t imagine having to live on without having him by my side. To be honest, I can’t even imagine sitting here on a date with some other person, because somehow, I always thought-”
Your eyes widen. Taesan smiles.
“God, I’m so stupid. It’s probably too late, right? I messed up so bad, Taesan.” you chastise yourself, burying your face in your hands.
“No, y/n. That guy would probably wait multiple lifetimes for you if he had to.” Taesan smiles reassuringly.
You look up at him, slightly unconvinced.
“As much as he was upset at you yesterday, did you really think he was going to leave you here alone? He asked me to accompany you today,” Taesan explains, “well, that is not to say that I wouldn’t have hung out with you if he didn’t ask, y/n, I think you’re pretty cool. I guess there just weren’t really many opportunities, since your time after school has always been reserved for each other.”
You’ve never run back home faster than you just did before.
After Taesan’s revelation, you got up abruptly, thanked him, and bolted out of the cafe and all the way to Leehan’s front porch. Bracing yourself, you knock on his door. You can only hope he’s home this time.
You hear some shuffling from inside the house, and the door opens soon after. You come face to face with Leehan, clad in a dark blue hoodie and a pair of sweatpants that just made him look so domestic.
“Hey,” you start, albeit a little awkwardly, “the date ended so fast?”
“I didn’t go on that date, y/n.” Leehan states in a matter-of-fact tone. Oh, you think, chastising yourself internally.
“I’m sorry.”
“I’m sorry.”
The both of you apologise at the same time. After a beat of silence, you and Leehan break out into a fit of giggles, and for a moment, you think everything is fine again. Just like before this all happened.
“Leehan, I wanted to apologise for my behaviour yesterday. Our daily routines mean everything to me, and not having you walking beside me today showed me that.”
Leehan opens his mouth to say something, and you speak first before he does.
“I’m in love with you, Leehan, I’m sorry it took me so long, but I’m so in love with you, I can’t bear to imagine what it would be like if you’re not going to be by my side anymore-”
“It’s Han,” Leehan interrupts, not saying anything else.
“Huh?”
“You’ve always called me Han,” Leehan’s eyes soften as he looks at you so fondly you think your heart is going to explode, “I’m sorry I said being in love with you was stupid, because it isn’t. I’m in love with you too, y/n. What took you so long?”
Leehan slowly leans closer until your noses touch, and his eyes wander from your lips to your eyes. You give him a small nod.
You don’t know who initiates it, but soon his lips are on yours, and you feel like your whole body is being lit on fire. Leehan’s lips felt like home, and you’re left wondering what really took you so long as you smile into the kiss, wrapping your arms around his neck.
You pull away for breath and Leehan’s lips chases after yours, eliciting giggles from you. You lean forward to give him a peck on the lips.
“Hi,” you beam at Leehan. “I’m in love with you.”
“Hi,” Leehan looks so in love you think you might die. “I’m in love with you, too.”
“Are you staring at loverboy again? Come on, y/n, do something already!” Hikaru sighs in exasperation, looking on the whole situation with frustration.
Jungwon perks up. “Hey, he’s coming over.”
“Hey, guys, what are you talking about?” Leehan comes to sit beside you, wrapping an arm around your shoulder.
“Nothing much, just about how Woonhak led the basketball team to win the season last week. He’s really cool, I’d love to talk to him someday,” you make up an excuse, preferring to die than to admit that you had been staring at him.
“Woonhak?” Leehan scoffs, “I can beat him in a one-on-one anyday, y/n, I’ll show you.”
You look over at Hikaru to see her face scrunched up in very, very obvious frustration, and you almost feel sorry for her.
“Hey, Leehan! We gotta roll,” you hear Taesan from behind you, and you turn around to give him a smile in greeting.
“Well, I gotta go. I’ll see you later, baby,” Leehan ruffles your hair, standing up and turning around to leave before stopping and turning back.
“I’m leaving my partner in your care, guys! See you around,” Leehan smiles before turning to leave for real.
“y/n…” Hikaru looks at you with the most hardened glare you’ve ever seen, and you sigh. You’re dead.

Hero Course Application Denial Reason: Mental Health
Summary: Being a hero is hard work, and to enter it you need to fit certain criteria. One of them is having no mental illness that could be triggered by the work you are entering to a degree deemed unsafe by the authorities.
Bakugou Katsuki doesn’t know this.
Note: I am aware IED is a spectrum even if I mostly only know the extreme cases. I am aware not all mental health is the same. The negative talk of mental health in this story is supposed to be targeted at people who use it as a crutch and don’t try to do anything in order to work with their conditions to be able to lessen the harm towards them or others. When Bakugou Katsuki is six years old, he goes to a therapist who diagnoses him with intermittent explosive disorder. IED for short. It’s theorized his Quirk brings upon it.
Now, Katsuki grows up knowing this. Teachers use it to ignore his outbursts, screaming and attacking the Quirkless kid. It's just a disorder; it’s not his fault.
The doctor speaks about medication or therapy, but the Bakugou family ignores it. There isn't a reason to, given that his behaviour is due to his Quirk. His mother believes it won’t work. Katsuki proudly raises his head and smiles as his Quirk is praised, and they point at him as a perfect hero.
He applies for UA with his head held high.
He is sure to get in.

“Denied,” Watanabe Kasumi says as she stamps the words onto the application.
“Hmm?” her coworker and twin, Watanabe Hikaru, says.
“Kid with QAB-induced psychopathy due to being able to block all emotions,” Kasumi says as she puts the paper in the refusal pile. “He applied for heroics.”
“Sounds more like DQD.”
“Both probably,” Kasumi scoffs.
QAB or Quirk Affected Behaviour was when people were heavily affected by their Quirk. Usually, it was just mental and mutation Quirks affected, though there was a case a year or so before where Hadou Nejire was admitted while diagnosed with it due to her needing vitality for her Quirk. Her energized attitude came from that. Most of the time, though, it was just people whose Quirks already affected the brain or added in mutations like animal characteristics. It was not a reason for denying admittance into the hero course by itself. But psychopathy coming from it was.
DQD is a Quirk disorder with three levels: damaging, deliberating and devastating. These Quirks were ones where usage of them harmed the user. Damaging was the most common, and honestly, Kasumi was pretty sure there was a higher rate affected by it. Most didn't know that they had it since it made sense for their Quirks to affect them like that even when theoretically they shouldn't. Deliberating was the second level, which was much more apparent but not incredibly so. Devastating… Well, that was when it horrifically affected you or killed you.
A kid being a psychopath fits the latter.
The siblings continued through the stack of applications, their moves little more than blurs to anyone watching. While they were sitting perfectly normal for them, the reality was that the twins were moving faster than anyone else to go through the stack of papers. Their Quirk was the same: supersonic working speed—or, as their bitter mother called it, ‘Workaholic.’
As long as the twins worked, they were faster than anyone else. As kids, if their mother wasn't forcing them to ignore it, the two could get through homework in seconds, remembering everything as school was their job.
When they got older, they learned their father, never seen by them, was the same. His issue was that he also had QAB. He loved work so much that he was utterly addicted to it. Before the twins were born, he was able to avoid giving in to his condition entirely, but when the twins came and their mother ended up in the hospital for a year due to complications, he had to work harder. He fell into his addiction; no one bothered to stop it, given it wasn't ‘dangerous.’
The twins weren't surprised their mother hated their Quirk when they figured it out. Instead, they made a promise never to let work take over. They got jobs at the same place to focus on each other and remind themselves.
That was when the trouble started. The twins worked fast enough to do the work of hundreds of people, but they also knew how unfair it would be to take all the jobs. So, instead, they accepted positions promising to pay them the same as six people to do the jobs of six people each.
The first place didn't uphold their promise during their first month. They got paid only enough for one person each.
The second place also didn't.
The third place snuck in enough work for ten people each. They only found out thanks to a friend tipping them off.
The fourth place outright demanded the work of thirty the first time they showed up on site, trying to use a new contract they made the night before, attempting to claim the twins signed an agreement they could amend at will.
The idiots didn't remember how both twins got a lawyer to remove that when they first tried it and tried to insist no such thing happened.
That was when Nezu stepped in. The twins did all his administration jobs, which was safer than having many people do them. They also worked as his secretaries for hero work and his secretaries for school. They did the work of hundreds at a much safer rate. Nezu admitted he'd be doing most of it without them anyway, making it easier for them to accept.
“Explosive Quirk kid diagnosed with IED,” Hikaru announces, holding up the paper when he gets it, startling Kasumi from her musing.
“Actual IED or ‘this kid is aggressive but has a Quirk based on explosions?” Kasumi asks.
“The latter,” Hikaru says. “Properly diagnosed and everything. But…”
“Could still be a doctor shrugging his shoulders. Well…”
“Denied,” Hikaru shrugs.
Certain mental illnesses deny you entrance to the hero course. IED was one. If you exploded into violent rages randomly, no one could trust you using your Quirk to save people. What if you got set off and hurt others?
Hikaru pages through the applicant to see what is being done, rolling his eyes when he sees that the kid isn't in therapy. No medication or anything, either.
Figures.
Hope the kid isn’t to upset.

“Thank you for your interest in rolling into the UA Hero Course. However we have to deny you on reasons of mental health. IED is on the list of deniable conditions-”
Katsuki stared at the letter, unable to look away. The hag is busy on the phone yelling about suing the school as the old man talks.
Katsuki can't hear a thing.
It's not fair. He can't help his condition. It's not FAIR!
Katsuki screams and stomps off to light his Quirk outside, raging. It's not his fault!
They couldn't do this!
But they could.
“IED is a serious condition for a hero to have. No medication or therapy is foolproof,” the lawyer says. “We will not win this case. It's not even just UA- the Commission itself will not allow anyone with IED to the level Katsuki is diagnosed with, particularly if they are not in therapy or medication, into the hero ranks.”
“What if he goes on medication?”
“UA still doesn't allow it. They have the right as a hero school to do so. Others may do so, but the chances are low.”
Katsuki sits there and feels his dreams vanish.

Notes:
A pet peeve of mine is when people quickly go ‘Bakugou has a condition that makes him angry thus he is completely fine the way he is and also it’s not his fault’. That's not how it works, and claiming it is severely insulting to people with conditions who have put time into overcoming difficulties so they can function in society without hurting themselves or others. Saying Bakugou doesn't need to change if he did have a condition is just excusing his actions.
Plus there are a lot of mental health conditions and physical conditions that can prevent you from being in the army or police force. I can't see how being a hero in MHA is any different. IED is not something to play around with, and I highly doubt they'd be allowed to be heroes even if they are receiving proper treatment.
So I think in a world where Bakugou has it, he’d be forbidden. So boom here it is. I'm not going to confirm if he does or doesn't have it, because I'm also jabbing at the idea that it is because of his Quirk.

When you eventually reveal your secret powers and your past to Hikaru… he doesn’t believe you.
Even as you’re literally producing a flame out of thin air in the palm of your hand, he still doesn’t believe you.
He honestly assumes you’re just pranking him, or that Kaoru put you up to it.
Hikaru scoffs. “Please. It’s obviously some up the sleeve trick, or one of those mechanisms they use on movie and TV.” He insist, crossing his arms and looking away from you.
“…Hikaru. I am literally opening up a out how my parents used me as a science experiment, and how it resulted in me having these abnormal powers. Please stop being a brat and LOOK.” You produce a larger flame in the palms of your hands.
It takes a lot of convincing, but he eventually believes you and feels bad for accusing you of lying to him.
He “makes it up to you” by calling you nicknames such as ‘hot stuff’ and whatnot.

You explain your situation to him. He listens intently, not completely understanding, but he’s trying to be supportive.
Then you show him by producing a small flame in your hand and he freezes… then he freaks out.
“Y/N! Watch out!” He launches at you and tackles you to the floor, covering you with his body to try and protect you from that sudden burst of fire.
“Wha?! N-No, Tamaki, look!” You dissipate the flame and then create a very, very tiny flame in your palm. “It’s coming from me. Don’t worry… I know how to control the intensity of it.” You whisper.
He gazes down at you in awe, the flicker of light illuminating both your facial features.
His breathing is slow and he hesitantly reaches towards your hand, his lanky fingers hovering over your extremely small fire. “…It doesn’t hurt you, does it?” He whispers back.
You find yourself smiling at his concern. “No, no. It doesn’t hurt, at all.”
“…You’re certain?” Tamaki cups your face in his hands as he gazes at you with a frown, heavily concerned. He leans in closer, his nose brushing against yours.
You flush, “T-Tamaki, I’m fine! Really!”
Yeah, definitely expect him to dote on you… more than usual, I mean.

You explain your past to her and… she doesn’t exactly understand.
It’s not that she doesn’t believe you. I mean, Honey-Senpai is legally considered a war weapon, so why wouldn’t she believe you about this?
It’s just… it’s abnormal for her, you know? Your situation sounds like something you would only hear of in movies or animes.
Then you go and present your powers to her.
Admittedly she startles at first. Once she’s able to wrap her head around everything though, she obviously doesn’t think any differently of you.
If anything, she just feels sad for you. Your parents experimented on you!
She gets the strong urge to tell your parents off, but she knows it’s not necessarily her place to say anything since she doesn’t know all the details. Although, she may lecture them about it when she gets the chance to meet them.
Haruhi assures you she’s always there for you whenever you need to talk about your situation.

He bawls, full on ugly cries, as you explain your situation to him.
You try to assure him it’s “not as bad as it sounds”, but he merely frowns at your words, definitely believing you’re underplaying what you’ve been through.
It’s… a complicated series of emotions. So, to change the subject, you show off your powers to Honey.
You mess around with a few different flames sizes, and present some small fire tricks to him.
Surprisingly, he doesn’t seem to react right away. It’s like he knows you’re just trying to distract him from the initial subject. Honey then smiles at you, “You’re amazing, Y/N.” His expression is so tender and genuine, it makes you flush.
In your flustered state you accidentally ignite a very large flame. You and Honey both jolt and you hastily put it out.
“…….Ehehe… sorry about that.” You chuckle awkwardly, your face flushed red.
“…..” Honey simply laughs and presses a kiss to your temple. “You’re too cute, Y/N-chan!”
🧡 Kaoru 🧡
He holds your hand as you open up about your past and how your parents would experiment on you.
Kaoru about damn near cries. You were literally born just to be a test subject.
“Y/N…” Kaoru whispers with a frown, giving your hand a gentle squeeze.
Before you can fluster too much at Kaoru’s unfiltered concern for your well-being, you hastily show off a tiny flame to him with your free hand.
His breath hitches at the sight, a smile slowly stretching across his face. It’s a small smile, but it’s still a smile nonetheless.
“…Are you okay?” He gives your hand another gentle squeeze.
Blushing, you shyly avert your gaze and dissipate the flame. “I’m fine. The fire doesn’t hurt.”
Kaoru shakes his head. “No. I meant are you okay? Emotionally? You were experimented on from a young age and for so many years…” Kaoru trails off, averting his own gaze with a heavy frown.
…You… You break down, to be honest. Kaoru is quick to hold you, comforting you. This man speaks the sweetest words of reassurance, and reminds you that you can always confide in him.
💜 Kyoya 💜
Well, when you explain your past to him, he isn’t too surprised.
Kyoya obviously already knows about your parents’ occupations and a large sum of their history, but… he’ll admit he had no idea just how messed up they are.
Don’t get it mixed up, he obviously knows your parents are pretty messed in the head, however the way you explain what you’ve been through… it’s pretty damn twisted.
Cupping your hands together, you present a small flicker of flame to Kyoya, silently showing him your… ‘powers’. The effects of your parents experiments.
Kyoya appears genuinely interested. Well, who wouldn’t? He cups his chin beneath his finger and leans forward to observe the flame that you just… summoned from thin air.
“I see… I must say, Y/N, you’re a very strong individual. I can’t even begin to imagine what you felt like going through all of that alone.” Kyoya says in his usual ‘I’m calm and collected’ voice, though you can sense the genuineness in his tone.
Over the coming weeks, expect him to observe you and your abilities often, and occasionally discreetly asking you questions related to your abilities. Sue him, he has to take notes on this phenomenon.

He holds you in his lap and pets your head when you eventually open up about your past to him.
“I’m sorry, Takashi. This must be a lot for you to take in.” I murmur weakly against his chest, clutching at the front of his shirt line a lifeline as you sniffle and tear up.
Mori hums, carefully combing his lanky fingers through your hair. “Sounds like it was a lot for you to deal with.” His eyes briefly flutter shut and he presses a kiss to your temple.
You sniffle and nod. “Yeah… Yeah, it was.” You sigh heavily, “But at least I can do this..?” You show off a tiny flame in your hands, trying to look on the bright side of thing. Pun not intended.
Mori’s brows raise and he carefully grips both of your wrists, and brings them up close to his face to observe them.
You dissipate the flame and he blinks. Mori takes a moment longer to examine your hands, his thumb gently caressing your palm that held the flame.
He then presses his lips to your palm, planting a firm kiss there. “…It’s warm.” Mori states, gazing at you through his lashes. Your face then begins to feel warm as well, but not due to your fire abilities.

A girl who believes she has no purpose in life, she formed a group just to prove that she isn't as useless as people say, but the groups fans want to remove yumi as a leader because "she doesnt act like one" thus making yumi hate her group. Also known for her bad behaviours, yumi tends to lash out onto people causing a fight to happen, she was expelled to miya girls and transferred to kamiyama. Yumi hates smart and attractive people and thinks that their skills comes from selling their soul to the devil. Yumi isnt the smartest of the bunch but she is very skilled in fighting as she has beat someone up before. She is very good when it comes to writing lyrics and poetry.

A playful boy who makes alot of friends easily, is it because of his wealth? Or maybe its because of how he acts? No one knows! Hikaru was raised to be prim and proper, to grow up just to be a perfect man, but all changed when he saw yumis passion for music, decided to join with her (forcibly) he isnt that fond of modeling, and now focuses on his music group.

A shy girl who shockingly befriended yumi, both werent in good terms as yumi punched her for something small. Hanako was very cautios and a coward as a child and now, as of right now, she is still worried about things and would ocasionally plan if something bad happens, nevertheless she tries to join the fun of being reckless.

"Yeah, im purposely walking slow infront of you, what about it hm?"
The calmest of the bunch! (Assumptions) Naotake originally didnt wanna join as its too much time and whats the point? But yumi and hanako managed to convince him, his tattoos are often noticed by the teacher so he makes sure to wear jackets when going to school. Naotake grew up faster than other kids as his parents werent available much so he had to take care of himself, even though hes the calmest of the group, he likes to provoke people whenever he feels like it.
