How's about an Introduction

Highwind Adventures is our homebrewed TTRPG game we started playing during the pandemic. We’ve been using 5e mechanics, and yes, these characters have been going 4 years and I refuse to apologize.

The setting is a mostly medieval style high fantasy, but various cultures have started to move into their own style of an industrial revolution, while others are now far behind with rebuilding post-war.

We stream live on Tuesday nights, and I wish we’d been able to keep the early recordings for you, but the technology gods did not smile in our favor, and instead cackled at our dismay.

As the party bard and resident writer wanabe, I’ve been attempting to rewrite our first campaign as a novel. The first chapter is available on Ko-Fi, and I’ve been working on the second chapter. However, I’ve decided to admit that writing it out with all the extra detail and character development is going to take more time than I’d like.

So, I've decided I'm going to try and give you a much more simplified version here, for folks who would like to be caught up with the basic story and where these characters come from, and why we make some of the dumb decisions we do.

I’ll also try to drop some world lore, featured characters/players, maps, legends, etc. If there's something in particular you’d like to know about, drop a message!

The dangerous clipper is coming across the Great Lakes. That clipper will bring snow and heavy squalls along with high winds and blowing snow. Extreme low wind chill temperatures as well. The squalls can cause whiteout conditions and sudden icing of the roads resulting in pileups. Winds will be gusting 30-50 mph. Lake snows will be heavy once again with feet amount.
