If the Underground had one redeeming quality, it was this: its endless maze of abandoned
Silent, shadowed, and forgotten by most—ideal for watching without being seen.
From your vantage point across the street, Ksaver's tavern was alive with noise and chaos.
The glow of lanterns spilled onto the streets, illuminating clusters of drunk Garrison soldiers who lingered outside, laughing too loudly and leaning too heavily on each other.
“You’d think they were on leave,” you muttered, shifting slightly behind the dusty crate that hid you from view.
“They definitely think they are” Furlan replied with a grin, adjusting the straps of his satchel. His gaze flicked toward the warehouse looming just beyond the bar. “A couple more drinks, and they won’t even notice if we waltz in and take what we want.”
“Don’t get cocky. Drunk doesn’t mean blind. If we get caught, there are no second chances.”
The warehouse stood high next to the tavern, though still inconspicuous. A fortress of stone and steel—thick walls with narrow windows barred by iron.
A single lantern above the main entrance cast an eerie glow over the heavy steel door.
If you stop to think about it, so many defenses make the hideout look out of place compared to the surrounding buildings—but to be fair, it's not that weird either.
And section D-4.
The warehouse’s location was no accident. It was close to one of the main access points to the surface, a perfect hub for transporting supplies or weapons.
Its proximity to the tavern provided a convenient excuse for soldiers to loiter nearby, their presence both a deterrent and a cover.
Strategically, the spot was flawless. The surrounding alleys narrowed into natural chokepoints, ideal for defending against an attack or ambush.
But the same features that made it easy to guard also made it predictable.
Once again, you scanned the perimeter, noting the lazy paths of the patrolling guards. Their footsteps irregular, as though they were half-heartedly going through the motions.
Furlan shrugged off Levi’s warning, his grin widening as he gestured toward the soldiers at the bar. “You know, they don’t look all that bright. One distraction, and we’re golden.”
Levi’s eyes narrowed, his voice dropping into that dangerously calm tone he always used before losing his patience. “One mistake, and we’re dead. This isn’t a game, Furlan.”
You stifled a sigh, crouching lower as you scanned the warehouse’s perimeter. A pair of guards moved methodically near the entrance, their lanterns casting faint pools of light. “Relax, Levi,” you said, your voice low but steady. “We’ve got this.”
His piercing gaze snapped to you, cutting through the dim light. “If I had a coin for every time you said that right before things went to hell, we wouldn’t need this job.”
Furlan snickered, nudging Levi’s arm with his elbow. “Lighten up, Captain. You’ll give yourself wrinkles.”
“Keep talking,” Levi muttered, his hand tightening around the hilt of his blade, “and I’ll give you something worse.”
Despite the harsh words, there was a rhythm to this—it was a routine that had carried you through countless close calls.
Still, the stakes felt higher tonight.
The plan was deceptively simple: avoid the guards, slip into the warehouse unnoticed, grab the gear, and get out. No unnecessary risks—but if they spotted you, there would be no retreat. You’d have to fight your way out.
Securing the ODM gear was the top priority, no matter the cost.
Levi crouched beside you, his eyes fixed on the guards patrolling the perimeter. “We move on my signal. Stay close, stay quiet, and don’t lose focus. If they see us, we end it fast—no hesitation.”
“Got it,” Furlan whispered, adjusting the straps on his satchel. “Though I doubt they’re sharp enough to notice anything.”
“They’re drunk, not blind,” Levi muttered, his voice low but edged with warning. “And even if they were, don’t get sloppy. We can’t afford mistakes.”
You stayed silent, your focus locked on the warehouse.
The guards’ paths were sloppy but predictable with patience.
They lingered near the main door longer than necessary, sharing drinks and trading jokes before pacing the perimeter with uneven steps. Their torches cast moving shadows, perfect for slipping through undetected.
Levi moved first, slipping into the dim alley like a shadow. His footsteps were silent as he hugged the wall of a neighboring building, gesturing for you and Furlan to follow.
One at a time, the three of you crossed the narrow street, sticking to the darker corners as you approached the back of the warehouse. The steel door loomed ahead, reinforced and locked tight.
The faint scuff marks near the hinges and chipped paint around the lock told a familiar story: this wasn’t the first time someone had tried to break in.
When you reached the side door, Furlan knelt to pick the lock, his fingers moving deftly over the worn mechanism.
“You sure you’ve got this?” you asked, glancing nervously over your shoulder.
He grinned without looking up. “Relax. It’s not my first dance.”
The lock clicked, and Furlan pushed the door open with a shit-eating grin. “After you,” he said with a mock bow.
Such a moron.
The air inside was thick with the smell of oil and rust, suffocating with very little light.
“There,” Levi said, his voice low as he nodded toward the far end of the room. Different sets of ODM gear hung on racks, their metallic components gleaming faintly.
You moved cautiously, your footsteps muffled by the dust-covered floor. Furlan reached the gear first, his grin widening as he inspected one of the sets. “A little outdated,” he murmured, running his fingers over the mechanisms. “But definitely worth the trip.”
“Take it and go,” Levi ordered, his gaze darting toward the door. “We’re not sticking around.”
You slung one set over your shoulder, the weight pressing heavily against your back as you adjusted the straps. On the other hand, Levi and Furlan grabbed two each just in case.
Just as you turned toward the exit, the sound of muffled voices reached you.
Your stomach dropped.
The guards were at the back door.
Levi’s hand shot up, signaling for silence. The three of you froze, your breaths shallow as the voices grew louder.
“They’ll notice the open lock,” you whispered, your voice barely audible.
Levi’s jaw tightened, his sharp eyes scanning the room. “If they come in, we take them out. Quick and quiet.”
The door creaked open, and two guards stepped inside, their lanterns sweeping across the room. Their boots scuffed against the floor as they muttered to each other.
The creak of the warehouse door sent a chill down your spine. Lantern light swept through the space as two guards stepped inside, their boots crunching faintly on the dusty floor.
“Check the racks,” one of them ordered, his tone clipped. “Captain’ll have our heads if we lose track of anything in here.”
Your heart pounded as the light moved closer to your hiding spot. The narrow gap between the crates was barely enough to conceal the three of you, and the weight of the ODM gear on your back made every shift of your body feel agonizingly loud.
“Wait,” one guard said suddenly, his footsteps halting. “Something’s missing.”
Shit.
Levi’s pointed gaze flicked toward you and Furlan, his fingers already tightening around the hilt of his blade.
The second guard stepped up to the racks, running his hand over the empty hooks where the gear had been. “What the hell…? It was here yesterday.”
Furlan’s grip on the strap of his satchel tightened. “They’re gonna figure it out,” he whispered, barely audible.
Levi’s eyes narrowed. “On my mark,” he murmured, his voice a thread of steel.
The first guard turned, his lantern swinging dangerously close to the crates. “Check the other side of the room. Maybe someone moved it.”
Levi moved before the guard could take another step. Silent as a shadow, he emerged from the gap and closed the distance in an instant. The flash of his blade was quick, precise—a clean strike that dropped the first guard before he could make a sound.
The second guard spun, his eyes wide with shock. “Hey! What—”
His shout was cut short as you lunged forward, your hands already on the haft of the short blade tucked into your harness. The guard’s lantern fell, clattering to the ground as he stumbled back, your blade slicing through his defenses.
Furlan stepped out next, grabbing the fallen lantern and snuffing its flame before the light could draw attention from outside. “Subtle,” he muttered, his grin strained but intact.
“Clear,” Levi said, his voice low as he scanned the room. He crouched to check the fallen guards, his movements quick and efficient. “We need to move. Now.”
You nodded, adjusting the weight of the gear on your back. The warehouse felt heavier with silence now, the echoes of your scuffle fading into the distance.
“Think anyone heard that?” Furlan asked, his tone almost casual as he slung his gear over one shoulder.
Levi didn’t answer, his focus already on the exit. He motioned for you to follow, his movements still sharp and deliberate.
The three of you slipped out the side door, sticking to the shadows as you retraced your path through the narrow alleys. Every sound seemed amplified—the scrape of your boots against the stone, the distant hum of voices from Ksaver’s tavern.
As you reached the edge of the alley, Levi raised a hand, signaling for a halt. He peeked around the corner, his grey eyes scanning the street ahead.
“All clear,” he said finally, stepping forward.
Relief flooded through you, though it was short-lived. The weight of the gear pressed heavily against your back, a constant reminder of what you’d risked—and what you’d gained.
By the time you reached the safety of your hideout, the adrenaline had begun to wear off, leaving your limbs heavy and your mind buzzing with exhaustion.
“Well,” Furlan said, dropping his gear onto the table with a thud. “That was fun.”
Levi shot him a glare, his voice cold. “You call that fun? If you hadn’t been so loud earlier—”
“Relax,” Furlan interrupted, holding up his hands in mock surrender. “We got what we came for, didn’t we?”
You sat down heavily, the stolen gear still strapped to your back. Despite the tension, a small smile tugged at your lips. “We’re alive. That counts for something.”
"Barely."
Levi didn’t respond immediately, his gaze lingering on the gear. Finally, he nodded, his expression softening just slightly. “This was just the start. Next time, there won’t be room for mistakes.”
Tumblr media
The abandoned factory near the hideout became your training ground.
It was vast and empty, the towering beams and rusted catwalks providing the perfect place to test the ODM gear without drawing attention.
Levi, annoyingly so, took to it immediately—balanced, studious, and calculated.
The same as always.
Watching him soar through the air, you couldn’t help but feel a pang of jealousy.
Furlan stood below, arms crossed, grinning up at you as you adjusted the straps of your harness. “Sure you don’t want to let the expert go first?”
You snorted, securing the final strap across your chest. “Pretty sure we’re both equally clueless about this.”
“Speak for yourself,” he replied, stepping back as you approached the edge of the platform. “I’ve been preparing for this my whole life. Born to fly, you know.”
Levi, perched on a beam several feet above, didn’t bother looking down. “Born to crash, maybe.”
Furlan gasped dramatically. “Was that a joke? From Levi? Someone mark this moment in history.”
“Keep running your mouth, and I’ll make sure you’re the first to ‘fly,’” Levi muttered, tightening his grip on his gear. His gaze flicked to you briefly, as if checking to ensure you hadn’t strapped something wrong.
The mechanisms in your gear hissed softly as you tested the triggers, the faint resistance sending a thrill of anticipation through your body. You took a deep breath, your fingers steady despite the rush of nerves in your chest.
“Alright,” you said, stepping closer to the edge. “Let’s see what this thing can do.”
The grapples shot out with a loud metallic hiss, embedding themselves into a beam high above. Gas hissed from the canisters on your back, and suddenly, you were airborne.
The initial jolt nearly threw you off balance, the weightless sensation both exhilarating and terrifying.
Air rushed past your face as the world blurred around you, beams and scaffolding flashing by in streaks of rusted metal.
You adjusted the tension, the pull of the cables propelling you forward in a shaky arc.
Then you realized your trajectory was off—badly off. You were heading straight for a beam.
“Shit,” you muttered, trying to adjust the line, but your inexperience betrayed you. The controls felt clunky, unresponsive. You braced for impact, your heart hammering.
The collision never came. Instead, a harsh tug yanked you sideways, and suddenly, Levi was there, his arm locked around your waist as he propelled you both toward a safer landing.
You hit the platform with a stumble, Levi steadying you as you regained your footing. His grip was firm, his breath steady despite the chaos of the moment.
“Careful,” he said, his tone clipped but quieter than usual.
You looked up at him, your chest still heaving from the adrenaline. His face was close—too close—and for a moment, all you could do was blink at him. “Thanks,” you managed, your voice barely above a whisper. “I had it under control.”
Levi raised an eyebrow, his expression a mix of disbelief and mild irritation. “Right. That’s why you were about to introduce your face to a steel beam.”
You opened your mouth to respond, but the way his gaze lingered on yours made the words falter. There was something unreadable in his expression, an intensity that made your stomach twist in a way that had nothing to do with the gear strapped to your back.
“Uh… you can let go now,” you said, your voice higher than you’d intended.
Levi blinked, as if realizing for the first time that he was still holding you. He stepped back quickly, his arms dropping to his sides with a stiffness that bordered on awkward. “You’re lucky I was watching,” he muttered, looking away.
“Always am,” you shot back without thinking, the words slipping out before you could stop them.
The silence that followed was loud.
Too loud,
Fuck.
Furlan’s laughter cut through it, his voice echoing from below. “Oh, that was smooth. I’ll give you that one.”
You turned, glaring down at him. “Shut up, Furlan.”
Levi cleared his throat, adjusting the straps of his gear. His expression was unreadable again, though a faint pink tint dusted the tips of his ears. “Get back up there,” he said flatly, nodding toward the scaffolding. “You’re not done until you stop flying like a drunk bird.”
Tumblr media
The next few days blurred into a grueling routine. Each of you took turns practicing with the gear, alternating between bursts of progress and painful missteps. Furlan’s attempts often ended in chaos—his grapples tangling in beams, or his launches sending him spinning uncontrollably.
“Maybe this thing just doesn’t like me,” he muttered after his third crash into a stack of crates.
Levi, of course, took to the gear with ease. His movements were perfect: deliberate and efficient, each arc and turn executed with precision. Watching him was equal parts inspiring and frustrating—how did he make it look so easy?
One afternoon, after another exhausting round of practice, you sat on a ledge adjusting your gear. The straps were digging into your shoulders, the weight feeling heavier after hours of trial and error.
“You’re overthinking it,” Levi said, his voice cutting through your thoughts.
You glanced up at him, frowning. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
He stepped closer, crouching beside you as he gestured toward the triggers in your hands. “You’re forcing the movement. The gear’s designed to work with your body, not against it. You’re trying too hard to control it.”
His voice was calm, measured, but the proximity made it impossible to focus. His fingers brushed against yours as he adjusted your grip, the warmth of his touch sending a jolt through you.
“Relax your wrist,” he said, his tone softer now. “Let the momentum carry you.”
You swallowed hard, nodding as you tried to ignore the way your heart had started pounding. “Got it.”
Levi stepped back, his arms crossing as he watched you with that same intense focus. “Try again.”
You inhaled deeply, gripping the triggers as you launched upward. This time, the motion felt smoother, more natural. The air whipped past your face, and when you landed on the next platform, you couldn’t help the grin that spread across your face.
“Better,” Levi called, his voice carrying easily across the factory.
You turned back to him, your chest tightening at the faint smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. It was subtle, barely there, but enough to leave you feeling unsteady all over again.
Furlan’s voice echoed from below. “Alright, lovebirds, break it up! Some of us are trying to survive down here!”
You rolled your eyes, heat rushing to your cheeks as you shouted back, “Shut up, Furlan!”
Levi didn’t respond, but the small smirk that flickered across his face was enough to make you forget your embarrassment—if only for a moment.
That evening, Furlan announced he was done for the day, dramatically clutching his lower back as he slumped onto a crate. “I think the gear hates me,” he said, shaking his head. “And honestly, I’m starting to hate it back. I’ll see you two tomorrow.”
Levi barely glanced at him. “Good. You crashing into things is getting annoying.”
Furlan chuckled as he headed for the exit, leaving you and Levi alone in the cavernous space of the factory. The air was cooler now, the sounds quieter as the faint hum of distant life settled into an almost eerie calm.
It was just you and Levi now, the dim light from the fractured windows casting long shadows over the beams and scaffolding.
You tightened the straps on your harness, pretending the silence wasn’t getting to you. “I’m going again,” you said, breaking the quiet.
“Not like that,” Levi’s voice cut in, sharp but softer than usual.
You turned to him, frowning. “What do you mean?”
He didn’t answer immediately, his gaze fixed on you like he was sizing you up—not in the critical way he usually did, but as if deciding whether to elaborate. He stepped closer, his movements deliberate, and gestured to your harness. “Your straps. They’re too loose.”
You hesitated, glancing down at them. “They feel fine to me.”
“They’re not.”
Levi was already in front of you, his hands reaching for the straps before you could protest. The adjustment was quick, precise, and practical—his gloved fingers deftly tightening the leather across your collarbone with a firm but careful touch.
It should’ve been nothing, and yet you felt it everywhere. The warmth of his hand through the glove, the way he was so close you could feel his presence like a weight pressing against you. Your breath hitched despite yourself, and you fought the urge to look at him.
But you couldn’t help it. Your gaze flicked upward, catching him in a moment of complete focus. His expression was neutral, eyes locked on the harness, his attention so sharp it felt unfairly indifferent—like you weren’t standing right there, hyper-aware of every small motion he made.
“There,” he said, stepping back slightly. His voice was calm and clipped, efficient as always, but there was a flicker of something—hesitation?—in the way his gaze lingered on your face before dropping back to the straps.
You nodded, your voice quieter than intended. “Thanks.”
But instead of stepping away fully, Levi’s eyes shifted downward, landing on the straps at your waist and thighs.
His jaw tightened for half a second, his hand hovering as though he might reach for them. The urge was fleeting but sharp, a thought that passed too quickly to stop but lingered just long enough to make him tense.
He dropped his hand, straightening and stepping back with a slight shake of his head, which was now beet red. “The lower straps are loose too,” he muttered, his tone soft but edged with something he couldn’t quite hide. “Fix them before you go again.”
Your pulse quickened as you followed his line of sight, fumbling with the straps around your waist, your fingers clumsy against the worn leather. His words were practical, but the air between you felt anything but.
“Right,” you murmured, tightening the buckles and avoiding his gaze.
Levi crossed his arms, his eyes flicking back up to your face once you were finished, like he was assessing your work. “Next time, check everything,” he said, his voice steadier now, though the faint tension in his jaw remained.
You nodded again, swallowing hard. “Got it,” the silence stretched, thick and heavy with things you didn’t know how to name. Your face grew hot as you tried to come up with something to say—”um, thanks.”
You adjusted your stance, focusing on the triggers in your hands, trying to shake the weight of his attention. But it was impossible to ignore the way his presence settled over you, like an anchor you couldn’t pull free of.
It was nothing, and yet it wasn’t. You hated how aware you were of him, how he—
“Try it now,” he said, his voice softer this time.
You nodded again, turning toward the edge of the platform with shaky hands.
The grapples hissed as they shot out, embedding themselves into the beams high above. Gas propelled you forward, and for a moment, everything else fell away—the nerves, the tension, the weight of his eyes on you.
But when you landed, breathless and steady, it was all there again.
“Better,” he said, stepping forward. His approval was quiet, almost reluctant, like he didn’t want to give too much away.
You forced a small smile, trying not to let the words hit harder than they should. “Guess the straps really were the problem.”
His eyes lingered on yours for a moment, unreadable. “It wasn’t just the straps,” he said eventually, his voice quieter now. “You’re starting to trust the gear. That’s why it worked.”
You nodded, unsure of what to say. The silence stretched between you, not awkward but heavy, like there were too many things left unsaid.
“I’ll go again,” you said finally, taking a step back.
But Levi didn’t move.
“Wait,” he said, the word soft but firm enough to make you pause.
You turned to look at him, your pulse jumping when you saw the way his expression had shifted—something about the edges of his usual stoicism softened, just slightly. It made him look almost unsure, which was wrong in so many ways. Levi wasn’t supposed to look unsure.
“You’re still forcing it,” he said after a moment, his voice lower now, almost hesitant.
You frowned. “Forcing what?”
He sighed, stepping closer again. His hands reached for yours, adjusting your grip on the triggers like it was the most natural thing in the world.
But it wasn’t—not for you, anyway. His gloves were worn and rough, the touch fleeting and practical, yet it sent a warmth curling through you that made your chest ache.
“You’re thinking too much,” he murmured, his voice so quiet you almost missed it. “The gear works with you. Stop fighting it.”
“I’m not—” you started to argue, but his gaze stopped you short.
He was close now, closer than he needed to be, and the intensity in his eyes was almost too much.
You could feel his breath, steady and even despite the distance you’d just flown, and it made you horribly aware of how uneven yours was in comparison.
“Try again,” he said, his voice barely above a whisper.
You nodded, not trusting yourself to speak, and turned back to the edge of the platform. Your fingers tightened around the triggers, your grip firmer now but more deliberate, and you launched upward.
This time, the motion felt different. Easier. Smoother. The rush of air filled your lungs, and for a moment, you felt weightless in a way that didn’t terrify you. When you landed, it was with a steadiness that surprised even you.
You looked back at him, your chest still heaving. He was standing exactly where you’d left him, his arms crossed, his gaze sharpened but softer than usual.
“Better,” he said again, his tone quiet but unmistakably sure.
You smiled, though it felt too vulnerable, too honest. “Thanks.”
He nodded, but the way his eyes lingered made your stomach twist again. You thought about saying something—anything to cut through the heaviness between you—but before you could, he turned away.
“Don’t overthink it next time,” he said, his voice back to its usual clipped tone. But as he adjusted the straps on his gear, you caught the faintest trace of pink at the tips of his ears.
You swallowed back a laugh—soft and pathetic and a little bitter—and turned to reset your stance.
Levi didn’t look at you again, but his presence felt impossibly heavy. It was maddening, this quiet pull between you, like a thread you didn’t know how to cut.
You didn’t know if you wanted to cut it.

Remey LeBeau x half demon reader
A/N: Hope this was okay for your request! <3 Pairing: Remy LeBeau x half-demon gn!Reader
Tumblr media
The neon lights of New Orleans cast an eerie glow on the rain-slicked streets. Remy LeBeau, a man as slippery as the night itself, navigated the shadows with a grace born of years on the run. His past, a tangled web of deceit and survival, clung to him like a phantom. But tonight, the weight of it felt heavier.
He found solace in a dimly lit bar, a haven for the city’s outcasts. It was here he first saw you, a creature of twilight with eyes that held the depths of mystery. There was an otherworldly quality about you, a hint of something feral beneath the veneer of human.
Remy was drawn to you like a moth to flame. You shared a language of shadows, a silent understanding of what it meant to be an outsider. You were half-demon, a relic of a forgotten age, haunted by the sins of your lineage. Your past was a tempestuous sea, filled with storms you couldn’t control.
One night, as you sat across from each other, the city’s cacophony fading into the background, you spoke. Your voice, like velvet and steel, carried the weight of centuries. "I've killed," you said, your eyes distant. "Innocents, even. To survive." It felt like a weight had been lifted. You'd heard about this Remy LeBeau, and he intrigued you to say the least.
He exhaled a cloud of smoke, pinching the cigarette between his fingers as your words dawned on him. Remy felt a cold shiver run down his spine. He knew the taste of blood, the weight of lives lost. "I've cheated, lied, stolen," he replied, his voice rough. "To live."
"Maybe we have a few things in common then, wouldn't you agree?" You quirked a brow in his direction.
Your confessions hung heavy in the air, a shared burden. Yet, in that moment, the two of you found a strange kind of peace. You were both survivors, scarred and marked by your pasts, but united by an unbreakable bond.
Remy became your safe place and you became his comfort, his peace.
Together, you navigated the treacherous waters of your existence, finding solace in each other's arms. You were a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, proving that even in the darkest corners of the world, love could find a way to bloom.
Your blossoming love story, if one could call it that, was a dangerous gamble, a high-stakes game played against the backdrop of a city that never sleeps. But in the end, it was a bet you were both willing to make.

How to Choose the Perfect Bathroom Fixtures for Your Home
How to Choose the Perfect Bathroom Fixtures for Your Home
When it comes to designing or renovating a bathroom, choosing the right bathroom fixtures is crucial to creating a space that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The right fixtures can elevate the look and feel of your bathroom, while providing convenience and comfort for everyday use. At Clifton Bathrooms, we understand the importance of selecting high-quality, stylish, and durable bathroom fixtures that meet your needs. In this blog, we will guide you through the essential factors to consider when choosing the perfect bathroom fixtures for your home.
1. Consider Your Bathroom’s Style and Theme
Before you dive into selecting individual fixtures, it’s important to have a clear understanding of your bathroom’s style and theme. Are you going for a modern, minimalist look or a more traditional, elegant design? Your choice of bathroom fixtures should complement the overall theme and atmosphere of your bathroom.
Modern Bathrooms: If you’re aiming for a sleek, contemporary bathroom, opt for fixtures with clean lines, chrome or matte finishes, and simple designs. The Quoss Chrome Reno Transformer Cobra Flex Single Flix Mixer, for example, is a perfect choice for modern bathrooms with its minimalist design and flexible spout.
Traditional Bathrooms: For a classic, timeless look, choose fixtures with more intricate detailing. Go for brass, gold, or oil-rubbed bronze finishes, which add warmth and elegance to the space. Consider traditional basin mixers and towel rails to create a vintage-inspired bathroom.
Spa-Like Bathrooms: If you’re designing a bathroom that feels like a personal retreat, focus on fixtures that create a luxurious experience, such as large rainfall showers, freestanding tubs, and polished chrome faucets. The Quoss Rain Shower Sunflower would be an excellent option to add a spa-like touch to your bathroom.
2. Functionality Matters
While aesthetics are important, bathroom fixtures must also be functional and serve your everyday needs. When selecting your fixtures, consider how they will be used in your daily routine and make sure they are comfortable and easy to operate.
Showerheads and Faucets: Choose showerheads with adjustable settings to allow for a customizable experience. If you prefer a rainfall shower, the Quoss Rain Shower Sunflower provides a large, rectangular head for an immersive shower experience. For faucets, ensure that they have a smooth operation and are easy to control.
Storage Needs: Your bathroom fixtures should also provide ample storage. This is especially important if you have a small bathroom where space is limited. Consider installing towel bars, shelves, or built-in storage solutions along with your fixtures to keep your bathroom tidy and organized.
Water Efficiency: In today’s world, being environmentally conscious is key. Look for fixtures that help conserve water without compromising performance. Many modern faucets, showers, and toilets are designed with water-saving technology to reduce water consumption while still providing great performance.
3. Quality and Durability
The bathroom is a high-traffic area, so you need fixtures that are built to last. Choosing high-quality, durable bathroom fixtures ensures you won’t need to replace them in the near future. Look for trusted brands that offer long-lasting warranties and exceptional quality.
At Clifton Bathrooms, we offer a range of premium bathroom fixtures, such as the Quoss Basin Mixer, designed to withstand daily use while maintaining its beauty and functionality. High-quality materials like stainless steel, brass, and chrome are known for their resistance to corrosion and tarnishing, making them ideal for use in bathrooms where moisture is prevalent.
4. Size and Space Considerations
The size of your bathroom plays a significant role in choosing the right fixtures. A large bathroom offers more flexibility, allowing you to install larger items like a double vanity, a freestanding tub, or an oversized shower. However, if you have a small bathroom, you’ll need to be more strategic in your fixture choices to maximize space.
Compact Bathrooms: For smaller bathrooms, consider space-saving fixtures such as wall-mounted faucets and toilets, which free up floor space. A smaller showerhead, like the Quoss Rain Shower Sunflower, can be a great option for compact bathrooms while still providing a powerful and enjoyable shower experience.
Large Bathrooms: If you have a spacious bathroom, you can afford to go for larger fixtures. A freestanding bathtub, a wide vanity, and a big showerhead can transform your bathroom into an oasis of comfort and luxury.
5. Finishes and Materials
The finish of your bathroom fixtures can make a big difference in the overall aesthetic of the room. Choose finishes that complement your bathroom’s style while being durable and easy to maintain.
Chrome and Polished Finishes: Chrome fixtures are timeless, offering a sleek, modern look that works well in almost any bathroom. They are also highly resistant to corrosion and easy to clean.
Matte Finishes: Matte finishes, such as matte black or brushed nickel, are gaining popularity for their contemporary, understated look. They are also practical as they tend to show fewer water spots and fingerprints compared to polished finishes.
Brass and Bronze: For traditional or vintage-inspired bathrooms, brass and bronze fixtures provide a rich, luxurious touch. These finishes age beautifully and add a sense of warmth and elegance to the bathroom.
Glass and Ceramic Elements: Consider adding glass or ceramic elements, like a ceramic basin or glass shower enclosure, to give your bathroom a light, airy feel. These materials are timeless and easy to maintain.
6. Technology and Innovation
Modern bathroom fixtures now come with innovative technology that enhances both convenience and comfort. When selecting your fixtures, consider options that offer smart features.
Touchless Faucets: Touchless faucets are a great choice for hygienic bathrooms. These faucets automatically turn on and off when they detect motion, helping to reduce water waste and keeping the faucet clean.
Thermostatic Showers: If you enjoy the perfect shower temperature every time, thermostatic shower valves are worth considering. These valves allow you to set and maintain your desired water temperature, making your shower experience more comfortable and consistent.
LED Lighting: Some bathroom fixtures, such as mirrors and showerheads, now come with built-in LED lighting. LED lights not only provide energy efficiency but also create a soothing ambiance in your bathroom.
7. Budget Considerations
Your budget is one of the most important factors to consider when choosing bathroom fixtures. While it’s tempting to go for high-end designer fixtures, it’s essential to choose fixtures that fit within your budget while still meeting your needs. Prioritize key fixtures such as faucets, showerheads, and lighting, and allocate your budget wisely.
At Clifton Bathrooms, we offer a wide range of bathroom fixtures at different price points, ensuring you can find the perfect combination of quality, functionality, and style that fits your budget.

Don't imagine ducking into the Last Drop about closing time to find it quiet and peaceful for once, the old jukebox still going softly
The oddly inviting scent of old wood, with the faint traces of alcohol, age, and a metallic tinge pulls you further in
Don't imagine looking to see Vander sprawled in a booth, arms across the seat back, his pipe sending wisps of smoke skyward and heavy brow crooked curiously
He rests easily yet powerfully, his posture both vulnerable and intimidating, like a lion or wolf surveying his territory
Those gorgeous steel-blue eyes, the ones you secretly adore, study and entrap you and you find yourself temporarily frozen
"'Aven't seen ya around in a while, love. What brings ya in tonight?"
Don't imagine his voice like honeyed bourbon, deep and smooth but burning through you and sending sparks flying up your spine
You stutter out an apology for coming in so late and whirl to leave but-
"Ey! Where ya goin'? I'm still open, it's pourin' out, and 'sides, I could use the company."
You thank him, trying not to stare as he braces his hands on his knees to stand, the thick muscles of his arms on display
He goes around behind the bar to grab a bottle and two glasses, then returns to the booth, and to your surprise gestures for you to join him
Time passes easily, too quickly as you treasure this, chatting and sipping the liquor, some sort of high-quality stuff, the kind that goes right to your veins
Those veins that are now on fire with how he's gazing at you
When did you two move so close?
Don't imagine him casually putting an arm around you to pull you in fully
"It's gettin' chilly. Why don't ya come 'ere?"
Definitely don't imagine him giving you a devious grin, or reaching out to gently grasp your chin, his large thumb swiping your bottom lip
You feel like you'll burst into flame at this point and you've never wanted something more than the promise those eyes held
"Ya know...I've always liked ya. Was kinda hopin' we'd get a chance like this..."
Don't imagine resting your hand on his face, your heart hammering like a wild thing as you silently all but beg him to do it
Don't imagine his lips meeting yours, that flame roaring to life and you inhale sharply
He tastes faintly of bitter tobacco and the sweet liquor and you've never had something so wonderfully intoxicating
Don't imagine tangling your fingers in his thick, surprisingly soft hair, involuntarily letting out a soft groan as his tongue swipes across yours
He pulls back, cradling your jaw with one hand while the other grasps your thigh, a downright devilish grin on his slightly flushed face
And definitely don't imagine him murmuring, "Well then...now that we're on the same page, where this goes t'night is up to you, darlin'..."

Well I’m just gonna dump some DnD lore and art, finished (ish) and WIP. I’m still new (both to DnD and art but mostly art) and really should be practicing more but hey maybe posting here will give me more motivation eh? Anyway-
Background of the setting: modified Spelljammer, (I’m completely new to the lore anyway so I’m just gonna say everything because idk what’s modified so if I’m acting like I’m repeating common knowledge, that’s why) it’s the Age of Starsail. In the distant past there was a war involving a race called the Forerunners and the Mindflayers. The Forerunners were seemingly wiped out, however there are ancient high tech relics and ruins with still working machinery (this is where Warforged come from). Along with this, there are places that called the Burned Lands. These are essentially magical radiation zones that were created in the ancient war. I’ll skip the rest of it because I just want to show my art aaa
So here’s my character: Errk Gearwing. I don’t have a full body ref, and I’m actually re-designing him now, but this pic has my most complete works:
Tumblr media
My boy!
His whole vibe is supposed to be something akin to Warhammer 40k’s Adeptus Mechanicus, with the idea of forgoing his organic self for the Strength and Certainty of Steel.
Fun fact: his arm was the first thing I drew on my iPad, so I kinda went wild trying out brushes.
His backstory is that he was hatched/born into slavery, sent into the Burned Lands to recover particularly valuable artifacts. He was mutated from his exposure, causing the horns and spikes (in reality I wanted something to sorta fill out the space on his head and couldn't draw feathers well, then noticed my attempts looked like spikes and I just rolled with it). At about 15 years old (for the record Aarakocra live a more typical 80-ish year life instead of the shortened 30 years) he was injured in an explosion, but being resourceful, crafty, and happening to be near a med station, he managed to replace them himself. He would later manage to escape, violently slaughtering his masters.
The knife and axe are just ideas for his melee weapons, they don’t have any magical qualities (and every time he gets in melee he gets thrashed so they don’t see much use). The little bars in the middle are for the absorb element spell, being a sort of battery for the stored energy/damage.
In the upper right are a bunch of rune ideas for arcane infusions, self explanatory. The idea is they’re supposed to be able to be done in a single motion.
On the lower right is still unfinished concepts for the tiny Eldritch Cannon. They borrow heavily from the Vulcan from Metal Hellsinger, with the Force Ballista (top) really just being a souped up crossbow. As you can probably tell I didn’t finish the flamethrower.
Onto his now main weapon(s)!
Tumblr media
HE CASTS FROM HIS GUN.
INFINITE THANKS TO MY DM FOR NOT ONLY LETTING ME DO THIS, BUT ACTIVELY GAVE ME THE GUN AND TOLD ME I COULD MAKE IT INTO A VERY LITERAL "ARCANE FIREARM." AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.
Right so specs: the top gun is a mash of a few ideas. In gun terms it’s a lever-action falling block with extra doo-dads. In other words, there's a block that lowers (falls, hence the name) when you work the lever, allowing you to load a single bullet, and when the lever is worked back the block rises back up, sealing the bullet in. Literally stole the action and chamber design from the Martini Henry. It’s cut short because I wanted it on a thigh holster. While it can use typical bullets, the way its used as a spell focus is that Errk can "flash print" a round that would have the effects of whatever spell he's casting.
You might notice that I have a thing for opposing duos. The axe and dagger from the first pic are named ebony and ivory, and here you have this beautifully crafted rifle... and a stubby grenade launcher held together by tape and prayer, and Errk is an atheist. Hell, I have the idea that it might now "shoot" grenades, it just could have a rune of Catapult that just YEETS them. The grenade launcher is mostly just a partial handwave for how a rifle could casting larger AoE spells; it doesn't, in game the two are basically just one item, an arcane firearm to cast from. Shown here are also a few round ideas: bottom left is a Dazzle round, my DM allows me to use the Pyrotechnics spell without needing a fire to make explode, so it works basically like a flashbang, minus the bang. Bottom right is the grenade of fireball, inspired heavily by Fallout's mininukes. Top right is an unfinished idea for shocking grasp, a melee cantrip, where the grenade would be jammed into someone, the little arms pierce them and hold it in, and then it discharges.
One last finished piece:
Tumblr media
A quick and simple explanation of gunpowder. Recently the group... "landed" (attacked from orbit by a Nautiloid and escaped in pods that crashed) on a planet in a new system, and the local humans (a species new to us, though there are Elves, Dwarves, and Halflings back home so a bird person is weirder to them than they are to Errk) weren't as advanced as our system. I basically just wanted something that Errk could show to explain the basics of firearms and gunpowder.
Onto the WIPs:
Tumblr media
The start of his new design. Originally he was a red tailed hawk, partially because it was a simple color palette and relatively easy to draw, and also because their cry is just really cool. Now, he's gonna be part hawk, and part bearded vulture. For those of you who don't know, 90% of a bearded vulture's diet is B O N E S. Plus, they look absolutely sick (if you find images of them with red rings around the eyes, turns out those are threat displays, so he can basically do the eyes go red meme whenever he wants to).
And my last two pieces:
Tumblr media
In the upper left is how he got his name: a set of mechanical wings. Originally, I wanted something done to prevent him from flying, since I heard it can kinda break encounters, especially with a ranged focus caster, but wanted to keep some aspect of them, and worked with my DM to basically give him permanent slowfall. Originally he was gonna have his flight feathers cut during his time as a slave, then I went for having them mangled, and then I decided to just replace them entirely. If you play Warframe, you might see the similarity to the Icarius Syandana, which heavily inspired these wings.
(fun fact: the name came before the mechanical wings. I felt he needed a last name and went to a name generator, "Gearwing" felt perfect. I was gonna explain it as he signed up for an expedition or something, and the dwarf doing the paperwork suggested it).
On the bottom right is my idea for the small sized, self propelled Eldritch Cannon. My DM is a geologist with an interest in paleontology, and she likes to base some of the animals off real world extinct beasts, so I guess that just rubbed off on me (plus bird with spikes and horns already feels like 2 steps from a dinosaur, why not go all the way?)\
Right! That's all I got at the moment. Right now dealing with IRL stuff, barely even been practicing basics, let alone actually trying to draw a full thing. Hope to come back with more soon!

Alfa Romeo Disco Volante by Touring Superleggera
The Disco Volante is a two-seater Gran Turismo. It is based on the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione coupé with its front-central mounted 4.7 litre V8 engine and a transaxle rear drive with unmodified specifications. Each unit, of which the construction requires 4,000 hours of manual work. The present Disco Volante celebrates the myth of the 1952 style icon. The new design briefing required to blend ingredients as innovation, emotion and aerodynamic properties into a timeless and essential shape.During the development stage, Head of Design Louis de Fabribeckers and his team cooperated with the engineers on an almost daily basis. “We focused on the preservation of the design essence. – says de Fabribeckers – Once the design frozen, we had to understand the manufacturing problems and solve them right away without compromising the design.”In consistency with the car’s design philosophy the interior has a ‘science fiction’ feel to it. Part of this ‘spaceship’ atmosphere was created by elements like the red LED interior light profiles. Also, aeronautics has been the inspiration for parts like the dashboard, instruments and seat adjustment lever. The Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione chassis was chosen for its light and rigid structure and its outstanding dynamic properties. Therefore it forms the perfect basis for the coach-built bodywork of the Disco Volante, integrally conserving the rolling chassis and drive train. The Alfa Romeo 8C’s steel space-frame and other structural elements were retained to guarantee torsion stiffness, high performance and the quality standard. The frame members and the central carbon cell remained unchanged. Elements of the underpinning and the body, such as the engine bay and firewall, the windscreen and cowl, the a-pillar and the locks and hinges have been retained too, just as the dashboard and instruments, the pedals and the steering wheel. Parts like doorframes, the roof frame and the c-pillar have been modified to match with the new shape. The layout of a front-central mounted engine, a transaxle transmission and rear-wheel drive offers an optimal weight distribution of 49-51% between the front and rear axles. To ensure excellent handling the front and rear double-wishbone suspension scheme is combined with hub carriers of forged aluminium and additional trailing arms for the rear suspension. The lightweight and compact 4.7 litre V8 engine delivers 450HP and 480Nm peak torque. It is coupled with a six-speed sequential transaxle gearbox with electronic control and paddle-shift gear selection. Together with a limited-slip differential and a state-of-the-art braking system with large diameter, ventilated discs a precise, dynamic and proactive drive is ensured. The Disco Volante can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4,2 seconds and has a top speed of about 290 km/h (181 mph).
All new and modified components of the Disco Volante have been CAD designed. In this process, which covers feasibility, safety, homologation, aerodynamics and structural analysis, the most advanced IT tools and simulation techniques have been used.
Since torsion stiffness and noise reduction are of critical importance, special attention has been paid to the under-body structure and its elements, like the tubular frames supporting the rear wings and bumper, and the roll bar joining the c-pillars. Other complex design issues were the tailgate hinges, the 3d-cambered door window, and the front wheel covers.
The Disco Volante was then submitted to a CFD aerodynamic study to enhance the airflow and ensure optimal downforce in the rear section. After that, FEM calculations were run to assess resistance and rigidity of all parts subject to homologation.
Touring Superleggera is synonymous with the manufacture of lightweight bodywork. The weight advantage of aluminium is one of the assets of Touring Superleggera’s construction methods. Nowadays however, the craft of hand-beating aluminium panels is combined with the use of carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP). For the Disco Volante, Touring decided to use this combination of aluminium and CFRP. This has been the result of a study conducted to define optimal use of materials for the bodywork in terms of weight, resistance, precision, finish and quality, and ease of repair in case of damage.
The CFRP is used for specific components like the front bumper and grille, the bonnet, the skirts, the boot lid and the integrated rear-window frame. The bonnet and the boot lid are sandwich-built with Nomex filler in-between to obtain a better stiffness/weight ratio and to dampen vibration and noise.
The aluminium panels are hand-beaten using an epoxy mould. Since the inner frames of most parts of the bodywork are made of CFRP, this requires gluing of aluminium on carbon fibre. This technique adds to the rigidity as the glue has structural properties.
The body panels are pre-assembled on a laser measurement platform using a jig. This ensures that the strict tolerance required is respected. After adjustment, the panels are either welded or glued. The body-in-white is then used to preassemble and fit all trim components, brightware and moulding.

Pool Construction and Key Considerations
Pool construction is a complex and detailed process that requires careful planning and execution. Whether you're building a residential pool or a commercial one, it involves various stages, from design to installation, ensuring safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. Understanding the essential aspects of pool construction can help homeowners and developers make informed decisions and avoid costly mistakes. This article highlights the steps involved in pool construction and key considerations to keep in mind. If you are looking for pool construction service, you can explore Outertainment Construction Inc.
Tumblr media
Stages of Pool Construction
Planning and Design
The first step in pool construction is determining the type, size, and style of the pool that best suits the available space and budget. Homeowners or developers should consider factors such as the intended use of the pool, the landscape, and the pool's functionality. Custom pools may involve unique features like waterfalls, lighting, and heating systems. It is crucial to work with a professional pool designer or contractor who can help create a blueprint that meets safety standards and aesthetic goals.
Excavation
Once the design is finalized, excavation begins. This process involves digging the area where the pool will be located, typically with heavy machinery. The size and shape of the excavation depend on the pool design. During excavation, it's essential to take precautions to prevent damage to surrounding landscaping or underground utilities. Proper grading ensures the pool is level and has the correct slope for proper drainage.
Pool Structure and Plumbing Installation
After excavation, the pool's structural framework is built. This step involves the installation of steel reinforcement bars (rebar) or concrete forms, depending on whether the pool is a concrete, fiberglass, or vinyl liner type. Plumbing installation is a critical part of the process, as it includes the pipes for the pool's filtration and circulation system. A properly designed plumbing system ensures water quality and circulation throughout the pool. Refer Link: https://outertainment.com/.
Pool Finishing and Surface
The next stage involves finishing the pool surface, which can vary depending on the pool type. Concrete pools are often finished with plaster, while fiberglass pools come with a pre-made shell. The surface is essential not only for the appearance of the pool but also for its long-term durability and ease of maintenance.
Pool Equipment Installation
Once the pool structure is complete, the necessary pool equipment, such as pumps, filters, heaters, and lights, is installed. The equipment ensures the pool functions efficiently and remains clean and safe for swimming. Proper installation and maintenance of this equipment are essential for the pool’s long-term performance.
Tumblr media
Conclusion
Pool construction is a multi-step process that involves careful planning, skilled labor, and attention to detail. From the design phase to the installation of equipment, each stage plays a crucial role in creating a high-quality pool. Whether building a backyard oasis or a commercial swimming pool, understanding the stages and key considerations ensures a successful project and long-term enjoyment.

could we get more information about PJ he’s really cool c:
sure i posted about him a few days ago but it’s probably buried by now, full thing under the read more so it doesnt take up dash space also reposted the only art i have of him belowwww
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pj’s full name is Pj parker and he is “silk weaver” a spiderman that doesn’t go by spiderman, he’s based on furry silk orb spiders and he shoots natural webs directly from underneath his finger nails, these webs r razor sharp and strong as steel, he doesn’t know this at the start but he has the ability to soften and harden his web, and this ability is tied to his stability and emotional state
pj is from an abusive household / is poor in a really bad school and thinks very little of himself and has bad anxiety, the first few times he uses his webs he’s unable to make them anything but razor sharp and solid often leading to him harming ppl hes trying to help accidentally or causing a lot of property damage, hes interested fashion and design and enjoys sewing and wants to make a sustainable/ high quality clothing brand one day but can’t afford fashion school, so hes an unpaid intern for a big new york fashion brand and essentially works in a sweat shop and stays there long hours after school to avoid his mother, he’s in denial about being gay and acts hyper masculine at school and with his “friends” and is very quiet / goes mute often
his suit has metal claws / nails with an opening underneath them to allow him to shoot his web comfortably, and his version nyc is colder than usual and snows / rains heavy a lot year round so his suit has a half fur coat top to keep his upper body warm, there are also multiple pockets hidden with the fur to hold important items, in suit hes more talkative and is more of a grey vigilante compared to other spidermen bc he does kill some of his opponents depending on what they’ve done, he likes riding on top of subway trains for fun and sketches the city view a lot / people he sees on the train or walking around for fashion inspiration
also the scar / gash across his face is from the night he got bit, he accidentally shot his razor web at himself and split his cheek / nose / eyebrow open so a lot of the early story he wears multiple bandages going up his face, his “aunt may” is a retired drag queen who he meets accidentally on the subway on his way home from his intern job, she sees his drawing of outfits and compliments them and gives him her card to her boutique / bar, she used to design clothes for top brands herself but was black listed after coming out as trans (she is nonbinary and identified as both man and woman but when she started presenting feminine her career started to tank) now she takes care of lgbt ppl in the city, host clothing drives, and owns the building to her bar always offering a place to stay for people like pj
she knows he’s gay but wants him to figure it out on his own terms, shes the first person he runs to the night he’s bitten and she patches him up and promises to keep his secret, aaaand that’s all i got so far
tldr: scrawny poor weird gay kid dreams of being a fashion icon and gets forced into heroism
