I love so much that they thought of this because going into the scene even the very first time, I'm like... "are they going to do 7s?"

Book 1,027: Heartstopper, Vol. 5 (Hearstopper #5) - Alice Oseman

Where do I even start with this series. I’ve read the first four volumes multiple times. With each new release I hold my breath and cross my fingers that Oseman doesn’t somehow pull the rug out from under us. She definitely didn’t this time, it’s just more unadulterated queer joy and I am here for it. In Volume 5, Nick and Charlie have to come to terms with the fact that Nick is wrapping up…

Like, imagine when people are asked to describe soul mates in just a few sentences or phrases, they literally use you and your partner.

Yes I’m talking about Nick and Charlie. Who tf else would I be talking about. I bring this up because I’m thinking about their novella a little extra today.

For context, while Charlie and Nick are on their break (that they absolutely do NOT WANT TO BE ON), Nick and Sai are playing video games toward the end of their two week break and Nick tells Sai that he and charlie broke up and Sai is just not having it. Sai asks Nick if Charlie actually said the words “I want to break up with you” or vice versa. And Nick is like “no.” Then Sai and Nick talk about the situation further. Nick says something along the lines of “oh my relationship is pretty boring, that’s why he doesn’t want to be together anymore.” And Sai is still not having it and finally tells Nick that everyone who has ever met Charlie and Nick describes them as soul mates. They describe Nick and Charlie as they are the perfect example of what love is.

Ngl, it’s been a second since I’ve reread Nick and Charlie, but I remember that book so heavily because it was so sad throughout the entire thing until Nick and Charlie talked and made up at the end.

I'm into polo, but mainly the lessons I (used to) take. I like watching games when I have the opportunity, but I don't actually root for any teams or watch it online or anything.

I have nothing against sports/people who enjoy them, I'm just a big nerd whose friends are also big nerds.
