JEONGHAN: him and his big mouth. when you call, voice petulant as you ask if he's standing you up, he laughs and says, "yeah, I am." the issue lies in the fact that he thinks it's a bit and waits for the punchline while you are waiting for him outside of the movies fifteen minutes after your scheduled meet up time. "...so are you actually not on your way?" he tilts his head. "on my way where? listen, i'm with joshua right now. can I call you back later?" he's so confused when you hang up with an annoyed don't bother. it takes hours for him to realize what's wrong. he hangs out with joshua, he goes home to shower, and he hops on his phone while waiting for his food delivery to arrive. that's when he sees your friend's insta story; it's a boomerang with a movie stub and you holding up a bucket of popcorn in the background. the caption I'M the boyfriend now >:) is what finally gets his head on straight, and he's dialing your number immediately...only to get sent to voicemail. he'll have to grovel for your forgiveness with more than his usual smooth words, and for a good while, he decides to stop playing around whenever he's not sure. it's better to be boring than to upset you again.

JUNHUI: he is constantly attached to his phone, so to say that you're pissed at him for not responding when you actually need him is an understatement. then you check his insta story and see that he's out with his china-line crew as of an hour ago, and that makes your anger boil over because you've been waiting here for nearly twenty minutes and he's eating hot pot? you text him don't talk to me for the rest of the night before stuffing your phone in your pocket and heading home to sulk. on junhui's end, he hears his phone ding, but his friends wave it off. "don't be distracted at the table," one of them complains when he reaches for it. "tell us about that story you never finished—the one from the award show." he hesitates. "I'll just check it really quickly. what if it's an emergency?" they concede with an eye roll, but his heart sinks as he sees all the missed notifications from you. um...does an angry partner count as an emergency? he'll finish spending time with his friends, though he'll bow out of their dessert boba run, and he'll respect your wishes about being left alone. that at least give him the rest of the night to think of how to make this up to you.

SEOKMIN: two weeks ago, you asked seokmin if he's sure he didn't need to put your date in his calendar. his response was this: of course not! you think I'd forget about you that easily? paired with a stunning smile that reassured you in the moment. well, that smile is gone now as he realizes that he double-booked himself, and what doesn't help is the fact that his friends brought him to the same cafe where you sit waiting in the corner, sipping on a drink. you don't say anything when you make eye contact; you just raise an eyebrow and go back to your phone, which is worse, he thinks. even though he messed up, you're giving him the grace of not being called out in front of his friends. but then one of them spots you. "hey, isn't that your partner? what a coincidence! do you want to call them over—we have an empty spot!" at their waving, you come over and take a seat next to him, laughing about how this is such an interesting coincidence. he hopes no one notices that he sinks in his seat, a little quieter than usual. from then on, he's definitely updating his calendar as soon as you schedule a date.

MINGHAO: whenever he has a stressful day, he likes to remove himself from everything, go to a quiet area, and perform a tea ceremony. sometimes he'll invite his friends, but sometimes he'd rather be alone, letting the sounds of nature and his own breathing wash over his frayed senses. today he can't go anywhere else, so he heads to a quiet back room and settles for playing ambient sounds on his phone. technically he doesn't forget your dinner date—he just gets so lost in his thoughts that he doesn't know how much time has passed until you poke your head through the door and ask where the food is. "the what?" you blink. "the food? I thought you said you were going to cook today while i ran errands," you say, looking at him strangely as he scrambles for his phone. "sorry, I didn't realize it was this late..." he gives you a sheepish smile. "how about getting take out delivery instead?" after a moment of silence, you mumble that you're fine with that. he'll make it up to you later; he knows you were looking forward to the dish he's been promising for a week.

(1986-1993)

alright so this is a bit hard to explain, bear with me. undedicated musings is an anonymous newsletter-based poetry... publication? run by me, under the pen name 'chartreuse', and the whole shtick is that i write poetry, love letters, and whatever else to the person i'll end up spending my life with, but the recipient of said writings is completely unknown, even to me, so im kinda just writing to nobody. until! i actually set my eyes on someone (obviously rsl) and then the writings start to get a bit more specific and yearn-y and personal. since the recipient is anonymous, all the writings are written for a 'vermillion'. both chartreuse and vermillion's identities are revealed when we get married in 1993. and no, rsl doesn't know that i'm chartreuse, nobody does until i reveal myself. i think its kinda cool :3

film based - dead poet's society

(1988-1989)

so for starters, i was part of the crew that worked on the set of dead poets society, now all my friends (except kimya, her and i become friends in the late 90s) make sense! my actual job on set is kind of a vague be-here-and-do-a-bit-of-everything type deal, so there's no set title beyond "assistant to lead" even tho it's essentially government assigned 'friendship' LMAO. but! me and the cast get on like a house on fire, so i kinda just get to tag along on their wacky teenage-ish boy adventures. this totally does not stem from a desire to be part of a teenage boy friend group, and i am, in fact, totally cisgender. i am also lying. anyway, without going into too much detail, me and my s/o-not-yet-s/o (will be referring to him as rsl from this point on) sorta have a painstakingly long will they wont they type deal, because i guess i like torturing myself. we meet a day before all the actual film stuff starts just as a sort of preliminary get to know eachother because you'll be in close proximity VERY often for months. thats some time in march - june-ish? of 1988 (i shift to my dr the day before!) and we don't actually get together until june of 1989. so.

also! some changes to the movie because i can make those: knox overstreet is now played by matthew lillard instead of josh charles, because josh charles is a fucking zionist and i dont want to associate with him in any reality! knox also isnt a b plot to the movie at all, instead focusing on meeks and pitts because i find them much more interesting! and also knox's b plot is creepy as hell! also, the racism against natives (read this!) is completely gone! no thanks!

music based - MAURZI

(1988-2004 technically)

strap in boys because this is the main event of this dr and the lore is VAST. MAURZI (must be spelled in all caps, like MF DOOM) is a sort of musical person/character i've made to tell the story of via a series of albums. i release my first single in october of 1988 titled "lunarian", which is a fun little song about a being from the moon arriving on earth and having some inter-planetary culture shock. and thats the only song i've actually planned! i release 6 total albums that map out the MAURZI storyline kinda

now here's where you get the very extensive MAURZI lore. MAURZI is a sort of alternate-universe representation of me, where in i'm much more famous than i actually am in my dr, and i am absolutely RUINED by my fame in a fuck ton of ways. each album is a different section of her life so i'll explain it album by album. also for reference, in my dr capitalism/ currency isnt a thing, but in the MAURZI... verse? it is. because i like anti capitalist art! same goes for most other media im in/ participate in, actually. MAURZI uses she/her pronouns btw, i dont.

MAURZI - my self-titled album is about as close and personal to my life as i'll get, which an average amount because i still throw in some songs about shit that i have not at all done/ experienced. (ex. songs about cheating, toxic relationships, and things along those lines. thankfully ive had a mostly healthy relationship with relationships! except that one time!) MAURZI is new to the music scene but she's here to make some lovely tunes to help process some stuff! artists im taking inspiration from include (but are not limited to): sarah kinsley, dodie, jeff buckley, tv girl, mitski, and peach pit.

GONE TO SHIT! - MAURZI's first album blew the fuck up! now she's thrown into the midst of dealing with an incomprehensible amount of attention on her at all times, which she was absolutely not prepared for. what does she do to cope? sex drugs and rock n roll, baby! she also gets addicted to 2 outta those 3 things! can you guess which ones?? now, obviously, this album is entirely fictional and is only tangentially inspired by some life events, heavy emphasis on the tangentially. artists im taking inspiration from include (but are not limited to): the nonstick pans, panic! at the disco, forest, david bowie, chappel roan, and king gizzard & the lizard wizard.

Charmed - the love song album! this is basically comprised of songs i sorta wrote about rsl, but changed up a fuck ton because i wrote them while i was pining and did Not want him to knkw who they were about. in terms of MAURZI stuff, she meets someone just after deciding that she's gotta clean up her act if she wants to exist healthily. recovering alongside a loved one and them being a motivator for recovery! now i should specify here that MAURZI's s/o is not the same as mine, and is entirely gender neutral/ doesn't even have a canon(?) human appearance at all. they're named Vermillion because we love a callback! artists im taking inspiration from include (but are not limited to): the smiths, siouxsie and the banshees, james blake, queen, laufey, and her's.

I found Him in Santa Barbara - yknow how when a banana ripens too much and it starts to tuen brown? yeah imagine that logic but applied to recovery, i guess. NOW IS A GOOD TIME TO REITERATE THAT MAURZI AND I ARE TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE AND MAURZI IS JUST A CHARACTER. essentially MAURZI had a spiritual awakening and "found god." but what that ACTUALLY means is that she started viewing vermillion as a sort of god? but she's keeping it on the down low (making an album about it) because she doesn't want vermillion to thing she's CRINGE. themes of loving a god, being IN love with a god, being in lust with a god, temporarily thinking youre a god? stuff along those lines. its a bit intense, VERY experimental and.. heavy? both in themes and in musical style for some portions. this is my fav album out of all of them if you couldnt tell. artists im taking inspiration from include (but are not limited to): sleep token, WILLOW, type o negative, slipknot, lemon demon (specifically songs off spirit phone), hozier, violent vira, pierce the veil, gorillaz kinda, bjork, kate bush, deftones, destroy boys, and rammstein probably.

Waterworks - so yknow how MAURZI was having a whole trouble with god moment? yeah well thats gone now, no i haven't figured out how that'll work narratively, thats for me to figure out in like 10 years from now (now being 1988, naturally.) we've returned to our self-titled roots in terms of musical style! now we've just got some fun themes of trauma and such! and then that's the and of MAURZI as a character story wise, as i said earlier the album after this one is just a Me album. same artist inspo as self titled!

and guess what! music lore isnt even fuckin done! my music in this dr is a multiverse in itself goddamn. so basically the album covers for each album tell a completely seperate story about a completely seperate alter ego/ character/ whatever named Moonzi. name given by my audience (which is my excuse for coming up with such a shitty name and then keeping it.) the story of moonzi, without going into too much detail because i dont wanna type it all out, is a sci-fi type story about a being from the moon (lunarian callback!) on a quest to bring this space artifact back to its original place, basically. a bit more on it later, emphasis on a bit. also! each album cover is drawn by a different artist, and each album artist animates one official music video off their respective album, just cuz i like art and stuff! those music videos kinda follow the moonzi storyline loosely, but incorporate MAURZI elements. is this confusing? hope not. drawings!

can you believe im still not done? like not even close? certified yapper. anyway! my 3 fiction novels (Manchester, NH - 1991, Curator Rye, 1997, Sand Dollars + Pearls - 2008) are about my ocs basically! thats it really, i dont feel the need to share the plots of those tbh.

two? yep! one is a fictional autobiography about MAURZI (MAURZI - 1999) and one is a non fictional autobiography about me (Radio Free Marley - 2012.) take a shot every time i say MAURZI and you will need to get your stomach pumped. she just. she means a lot to me :3

so! my version of the doctor is kinda weird. its one doctor, but played by two people, but theyre one person. we're both the doctor. and by we i mean both me and rsl, obviously. the viewer sees the doctor as two different people, but NOBODY ELSE IN THE DAMN SHOW besides our little companion buddy guy (played by my cr friend fish!) SEES, ACKNOWLEDGES, OR IS ABLE TO VIEW THE DOCTOR AS TWO PEOPLE. its really complicated and i really did not have to make it that way, but its cool to me so i really dont care. also we're breakjng the doctor who cycle of boring suit and tie (this is NOT about you 15 <3) and going steampunk-esque. again, cuz i wanna.

marley veitch be in a show without rsl challenge (failed.) i play a character i made up named Nanette Amesbury who is essentially wilson's first ex wife. does he have a canon first ex wife? think so (i actually havent finished house oops.) do i care? you can take a guess. nanette (nicknamed ninny - which im well aware means dumb) is the director of the pediatrics department at princeton plainsboro and she kinda has a fwb type deal with wilson before figuring out shes a lesbian, having a crush on cuddy, being besties with kutner, then leaving the show in season 6. (zeth if ur reading this yes i made her show up for more than 2 seconds she just. means so much to me. also i want cudbury content.) im also a writer for the show so im there for its entire run time :3 i really like this show :3

after you and sage walked into the tattoo shop, the person at the desk handed you both consent forms to fill out. you informed them that you would have another friend joining you shortly.

once you were done filling out your form, you scrolled on your phone while waiting for your turn with the artist.

you were practically squirming in your chair out of excitement

you didn’t answer sage, just brought your phone up to show her your screen.

after seeing felix’s texts pop up, you answered. still not revealing any details just yet.

by the time jenn showed up to the shop, it was time for you and sage to get your piercings. while jenn filled out her own form.

you chose to get them before the tattoos since it’s going to be quicker and less painful.

sage decided to get a smiley piercing and you chose snake bites. you just know felix and the guys are gonna flip when you see them.

the piercer was nice and talked with you while doing the jewelry to make you less nervous, which worked.

jenn had it the easiest out of the three of you. with her only getting her ears pierced and she settled on a dainty designed tattoo that had stars and hearts splayed in her shoulder.

you on the other hand, chose a more risqué tattoo that could be hidden easier, on your lower back. it was a heart with flames. sage ended up getting one on her wrist. a few little doodles of stars and a cat.

after you were all done, the three of you took pictures of your new designs and jewelry and paid at the counter. you thanked the workers and on your way out.

it was 5pm and the drive to the boy’s apartment was a 30 minute drive and the three of you were anticipating the surprise reveal.

“hey, what if right when we pull up, we post the pics on twitter and then just go in the house.” sage laughs

“that could be fun, but what if one of them has notifications for us on? that’ll ruin the surprise!” jenn whined 

“if anyone does, it’s probably lix.” you continue her thought

“or chan for you.”

you raise an eyebrow at jenn, “why would he have my notifs on?”

“well you are besties after all.” she shrugs 

she could be right. but at the same time you just let the thought sink in. what if he does have notifications for you?

pulling up to the apartment, you send a quick text to felix letting him know you’ve arrived and carry on with the plan

“good. now let’s just walk into the house like we don’t know anything is different, and act surprised when they mention it.”

sage had a sly smirk on her face but you weren’t even sure if her plan will go the way she thinks.

nonetheless, you get out of the car and the three of you head for the door. before any of you had the chance to knock, the door is whipped open and the next thing you knew, felix was dragging the three of you in.

“what the actual hell? you three got piercings and tattoos without me?” he whined, a pout on his face

“sorry lix, it was a spontaneous decision. didn’t really think about it and just went to do it.” jenn laughs and fluffs out some of his hair.

I've done basically nothing but lay down and be exhausted since kirb2k over 2 months ago, but I did at least get the kirbox orders fulfilled. I have an immunology appointment in another 2 1/2 months and maybe they might do something to help me feel better. (it's a bad time. I know it seems to be most of what I talk about, but it is kind of all-consuming. even this roundup wore me out.)

Title: Riya's TRUE IMPREZA custom car look - No 1

On Oct 26, 2018 (Friday), decide to go to my current arcade at the current mall I've went (Quantum Amusement Arcade, SM City North EDSA) to play more Wangan Maxi Tune 5DXPlus for continuing Riya's "TRUE IMPREZA". So I made a HUGE update for her "TRUE IMPREZA"! 🔧🚘😁

• That being said, here's an example part of my huge update for Riya's "TRUE IMPREZA" as you can see the picture above. After I manage to win three opponents , one of which was the G Special Ghost Armored Car (please don't ask questions and click that link → [CLICK ME!]) in Online Ghost VS Battle, It seems her stats has just gone leveled up. And not just that, but also my earning points as well in the game. So now I decided to buy some item parts to suit her taste and the result - It's cool and amazing look for her"TRUE IMPREZA" car. Although, there are some few item parts that need to be unlocked but hey, we have to work hard progress until her final look will be revealed very, VERY SOON.

So but for now, this will be her best looking custom car, so far. 🙂

BTW: Here are the item parts that I purchased at the gaming terminal (good thing I listed some names and types): • GT Wing (3D) 1 ; Costs: 5,000 Points 🔧🪙 • Aero Parts C ; Costs: 12,000 Points 🔧🪙 • Enkei Racing WRX TARMAC EVO Limited Edition FORGED Wheels ; Costs: 1,000 Points 🔧🪙 • (And finally) FRP Bonnet A ; Costs: 4,000 Points 🔧🪙

= Total points I've spend in the game: 22,000 Points 🔧🪙

So yeah, that's all I could say for now and I'm very happy say from playing Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 5DXPlus with my HUGE updates. Heck even Riya is happy though, to see her newly look "TRUE IMPREZA" car. 😁

Riya 🐰🏎️: Yes sir! BUT, as of 2023, my "TRUE IMPREZA" was still in solid "WR Blue Mica" without my signature dual pink stripes, Man, I missed that. The only changes I made are the muffler and wing spoiler, which are now fitting to my "TRUE IMPREZA"'s taste! 😀 Otherwise, it is the same as before, dude! 😊 I can't wait to race it again, but I have some tasks that need to be finished. See ya! 👋😊

anyway, i feel like ranting about my nationality

i don't think many of you have been following me for more than a year. but those of you who have, you might have noticed that lately i've been reblogging things in czech more often. there is a reason for this.

growing up i never really felt patriotic. i felt like my country was a shithole where nothing good or interesting ever happened. i took my history for granted, like it was nothing special and that there were so many cooler things outside and to be fair, i kind of blame our education system for this. as a result, i've become really disconnected from my nationality and culture. and now i'm trying to fix that. i think having a partner from the US kind of helped me see this country from the eyes of a foreigner and realize that we do have some cool stuff here that is unique to us, from the language to the history, art and inventions like eye contacts or the very beginnings of genetics.

so, all that to say - i'm sorry if it annoys you? but not really. i'll be tagging all that content with my czechposting tag in case you want to filter it. the thing is, i've found out that sharing things about my culture is actually really fun. (my beloved can confirm this, the moment i get asked about something from my homeland i start to rant.) so i might open up about my thoughts every now and then, or write posts about the neat things i've learnt.

worry not, i'm not becoming patriotic in the "our country is the best" way - i do think that's a very slippery slope - it's more like "hey look at the stuff we do" and "hey btw today x years ago we assassinated a nazi" (real event).

so yeah. this is a heads up. also my inbox is totally open to any questions regarding my country, it would actually make me pretty happy to see anyone interested in my culture

Hello, I'm once again asking you about your OCs because I'm curious! I hope that's okay? Who are Iphi and Jack? I love the first one's name. And if I remember right Jack is aro? That's neat, I haven't really seen a lot of aro characters before! /pos

Thank you for the ask!!! Sorry this is pretty late btw, I haven’t had time to answer it lol

(That’s Iphi on the left, Jack on the right. First is a picrew, second isn’t my art but like. I haven’t drawn Jack yet so that’s kinda their ref for now)

But it is rant time!! Imma start with Iphi! Because I kinda need to explain her to give context for Jack’s lore. 

So Iphi is the god of sacrifice in this little fantasy world I made, Kunyang! She’s a pretty old god, a couple of thousand years old, but she’s still the second youngest one lol.

In Kunyang, gods are born when they sprout from the seeds of the god tree. The god tree is in the divine realm, which is a different realm entirely from the physical realm, but very rarely, a god seed can arrive in the physical realm.

Anyways, this seed fell into the hands of a very magically powerful person. They had magic potential that could honestly rival a god- and yeah, they believed they were destined for great things because of it. So, they were determined to be the person who caused the god seed to sprout.

So in Kunyang, there was once this library called the Archives, run by the god of knowledge himself, Ephius. This person went to Ephius, and they were told that the seed was for the god of sacrifice. Ephius told the person that to sprout a god seed, they’d need sacrifices from thousands of people. This person wanted to do it, all by themself.

And so, they sacrificed everything. Family, friends, fortune, and fame. All gone, in the hopes of making a legacy. The seed did not sprout, because it wasn’t enough. So this person decided that they would need to make a very big sacrifice, one big enough to make the seed sprout.

They decided to banish the Archives from the physical realm into the divine realm, sacrificing humanity’s access to the library of all knowledge. And that was indeed a big enough sacrifice to give birth to a new god!

And that’s how Iphi was created. But the thing is- that’s really not how you’re supposed to create a god. So she was kind of corrupted from birth. This corruption prevented her from having a lot of character traits that one might consider important to being human.

Iphi does not feel happiness, or satisfaction. No sorrow or regret. Nothing of that sort. But she is working towards a goal: and that is creating a legacy. Having an effect on the world. (Her only contributor to her creation imprinted heavily on her.)

And because of that, she is very active in all manners of sacrifice. Every day, she’s constantly getting people to make sacrifices to her, amassing followers in many different lands. This also increases her powers heavily.

The way her powers work, they’re kinda like payment based. She gets someone to sacrifice something for her, and she can create something else of equal value to that something. (The more important that something was to the person who sacrificed it, the more she can create and do.) Like, she could make a giant wall of fire, or acid rain, or bury a country in gold if she had enough magic. Which she absolutely does. But she mostly saves the magic potential she receives for later.

And also, Iphi doesn’t truly care about anything other than making a mark on the world. She doesn’t mind if people die or suffer because her sacrifices took something too important- if anything, she wants to do that, because it’s quite a way of making your mark on the world.

Oh, and I gotta add- she can’t do this all without a little help! And that’s where Jack comes in.

They’re also a couple thousand years old, but quite younger than Iphi. So they used to be a court jester. Mortal and everything. They should have had a life of a normal length, be just another person in the world, but then they fell in love with Iphi.

And yeah they’re aromantic! It’s not romantic love, it’s alterous love. But yeah they felt a deep emotional attraction, and they wanted to be in a relationship (not a romantic or platonic one though). Anyways, Iphi doesn’t feel the same way. She doesn’t love Jack. But she thought it was convenient to have someone in love with her, and to keep them around, so she offered Jack a sacrifice.

She’d give them eternity, and they would be her servant.

Jack honestly didn’t want to do that at first, but then they had a near-death experience, and agreed to her terms.

So Iphi took their physical body, and also their independence.

Because it would be inconvenient if her servant got bored or wanted to take back the sacrifice. So Jack quite literally cannot think unless she wills it. They’re barely conscious until Iphi needs them, and only then can they think again.

Jack isn’t even aware this happens. To them, it feels like they just woke up, or they just simply forgot what happened during that time

Iphi also messed with Jack’s mind a bit, to amplify their devotion. And yeah, Jack is completely, utterly devoted to her. They would die for her, they’d be tortured for her, they would kill for her too. Nothing is off the table. They’d do anything she says. And they truly love her.

Jack mostly stays in the divine realm, usually, until Iphi sends them to the physical realm to do something for her. That something is usually extorting people to get more sacrifices. Jack pretty much curses people, and then offers to remove that curse in exchange for a sacrifice. (That’s how Janessa got cursed, actually [have I talked about her?] but Jack forgot they cursed her lmao.)

Anywayssss there is some more lore, but this is pretty fucking long already lmao so Imma just end this here. Unless you’d like to hear more!!

Character study??

ok so the post 8 just reblogged inspired me to post a short writing peice I made about a year ago that's just pink 243 and blue 312 hanging out (btw if ppl like this I'll finish the second one I started lol)

Btw this is what the characters look like(p.s apologies for bad writing I wrote this a year ago)

I woke up at 730 am on a Friday. I have a day off from work today so I planned to meet my friend pink243 at the coffe shop. I sat up from my pink bed and looked out my large window. The lights from the outer ceiling looked extra bright. I wish our planet had stars at night like other instead after 10 pm all the lights on the roofs of the eri station would go dark. I got up and fixed my long Blue hair by putting it up in clips. And gest dressed for the day. I wear a blue tank top and matching shorts, it is always warm enough you can wear things like that on eri. I Double check that I had worn my silver heart necklace. I put some shoes in before pink3 stopped me " hey are you gonna eat before you leave?"She asked "oh, no ill get some food at the coffe shop" I replied. Pink3 sighed, normally I dint see her in the mornings cause her work started earlier than mine. She is like a mom to me, the closest thing I've had, anyway. She's so cool shes a teacher at the spirit high-school of magic. As one of the oldest spirits in eri She teaches animal magic,the magic she desighned and founded, to other students at my old high school. I was kind a glad to br out of there school was rough for me, I was frieny and tried to be nice but I wasn't very pretty, and Always did my makeup all funny, I just dont wear makeup anymore. I hopped out the front door of our house gently running my hand along the railings on our porch before quickly walking to the coffee shop. When I arrived pink 243 was already there waiting for me. She was sitting at her table. Wearing a eri fashioned jumpsuit. I didn't wear clothes that fit eris fashion style much. Other planets fashion was Far less futuristic and way more comfy. I walked up to my friend and sat at the table next to her. "Hello" she said, waving shyly.i waved back " so, pink, what did you do this week, i really like your hair by the way" she blushed a little at the complement. "Thank you. I've been writing an essay on our history" she replied. Pink 243 has always been pretty blunt, it make it hard for her to find friends in school, she rarely even talked to me when She first moved to this segment of eri, now she's probably the best friend I've ever had. I smile at my awkward friend " that sounds interesting. You should show me sometimes" I smiled "mabey, but I wish I could write about familiar magic." Pinks always been facinated by familiar care. She's even told me she'd like to go into a work field of studying them. I also find them neat but not nearly as much as she does. I'm more ineterst3d in robotics and intend to go I totally feild when i get accepted into one of eris collages. "Do you mabey wanna grab some food from inside?" I asked, remembering why we cane here in the first place. "Yes, let's go" pink 243 replied. Today is gonna be a good day. I just know it.

What doesn’t kill you, will make you stronger…

Okay, so here’s the context behind this piece: this whole thing began when I came across Matt Ryan Tobin’s alternative poster for the 1985 horror movie “Silver Bullet”, which (surprise, surprise) is about a werewolf killing a bunch of people

I thought this poster was so cool (much better than the actual poster, imo), and bc I was suffering from The Quarry brainrot for a couple of weeks at that point, I thought “hey, this would be pretty cool if it was The Quarry themed”

And so, I sat down and began drawing immediately. Nearly a month later, this project could finally be deemed finished! I couldn’t share this on August 22nd like I originally planned, so I figured the next best time would be on Halloween

I had a lot of fun recreating this awesome movie poster, and I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I do!

I had a wild dream last night. About Gladstone Gander. It was complicated and it had a PLOT. An actual plot. like I could actually turn this into a legit written story pretty easily but I don’t feel like it so I’m just gonna say what happened here:

So this fairy or fairy-ish Being was gonna attack and destroy this English-looking town Gladstone was in for some reason and he didn’t care much for the town particularly but he sure didn’t want to just die like that

so he tried to appease the Being and luckily was able to find things she likes around town (certain food and trinkets?) and he was very polite and all but obviously very nervous. one of the things he offered was a bowl of seeds or something and my dream brain was like Oh Yes the Being would like to count these. idk if that fits with actual mythology but whatever

She was amused enough to stop and talk and they wound up striking a bargain/wager/agreement where if Gladstone was able to successfully perform three feats (well basically just do three things I mean he’s not Hercules. they’re more like tasks really), she’d leave the town and him alone. if not, he’d die first, then the town if she still felt like it

also sidenote but the townsfolk didn’t particularly care for Gladstone either, but when they saw how he was handling things and the fact that he explicitly included the town’s safety in his bargain made them start to rethink like Hey maybe he’s Not 100% An Insufferable Jerk

Also the Being wasn’t alone, she had these other fae-type beings with her; her squad basically, but they were totally letting her lead, like this was Her outing today and She was in charge

so if I remember right the first feat was finding some valuable/odd thing and with Gladstone’s luck of course he found the thing in short order

second one was, and this one’s blurry in my head but I think it was trickier like the Being was like shoot ok gotta step up my game on this one so she presented it in a more riddle-y way and it was a play on words, something about things being able to fit on the top of a needle

Gladstone was more or less stumped until some locals took him aside and were like Uh she’s probably talking about Lady Needal’s house on the edge of town. (the Being didn’t say he couldn’t get help with the feats so it’s fine)

So he unwound the riddle with help from the townsfolk and figured out that they had to get everyone in town to fit on Lady Needal’s roof. Which was possible, but took some doing. Lady Needal, who’s like 95, was thrilled at all the excitement and very proud to say that she’d kept her house in fantastic shape, so this should probably be mostly fine. Everyone pitched in and grabbed a kid or helped up the elderly or disabled and they all got up there.

The Being had a good laugh at seeing a whole town’s worth of people piled up on the roof of a small house and waved her hand, saying that the task was fulfilled. everyone got down.

The last feat was a test of physical ability. A race. Against the Being. That Gladstone had to win to fulfill. 

Gladstone was notably anxious but assured himself that his luck would get him through. 

The Being and her squad conjured this beautiful obstacle course thing that’s like a mixture of different games/sports’ equipment and just a whole bunch of hurdles for some reason. It was all made of ethereal, slightly translucent, glowing...wood. And other plant matter.

One of the townsfolk elbowed Gladstone and asked, “Hey what if they cheat? They’re making that stuff; they could rig it.” And Gladstone was like “OH my gosh for the sake of all our lives DO NOT let them hear you say that. And no, they won’t.”

So my brain gets blurry again here but citing “fairness” (but really just for kicks), the Being took her most corporeal mortal-shaped form and she was still horrifyingly gorgeous but more or less the same size as Gladstone. Gladstone took his hat and jacket off and rolled up his sleeves.

They ran the course and through bits of luck and sheer will, Gladstone was able to keep pace with the Being. For example, the Being was distracted by her squadmates cheering her on and did a portion of the course backwards just to show off, and was slower as a result. One of the other beings’ concentration slipped, and a bar that Gladstone was about to trip over blinked out of existence for a second and he made it through that part just fine. Fair’s fair, and they continued the course. 

At the last obstacle, the Being pulled ahead and they both leaped over the high jump bar. The Being’s feet landed on the ground first, and Gladstone landed a second later in a roll that ended with him sprawled on the ground, panting.

The Being returned to her former form and danced around gleefully with her squad. The townspeople murmured and looked at each other sadly and helped Gladstone up.

The Being stopped, smiling brightly. In fact, her whole self looked more vibrant than it did before. She stood up tall and smug and announced that she’d had a lot of fun and that she’d decided to spare the town.

The townsfolk cheered and thanked Gladstone and the Being enthusiastically. Gladstone was like “Right, Thanks yeah you’re welcome but ah, I know how the fae work and I’m still... Can I have my jacket and hat back please? Thank you.”

He put on his jacket and hat and straightened himself up while the others were still caught up in the excitement. It was hard to tell whether his shaking was from muscle fatigue or fear. Or both.

He stood stock still, waiting for the Being to take notice. She was laughing with one of her group when she did, and she stopped and settled into a more somber state. He squad followed suit, standing calmly behind her. “You remember our agreement?” she asked.

“I do,” Gladstone replied, voice tight.

“Then perish.”

Gladstone shut his eyes and flinched. 

Nothing happened. 

The Being started laughing hysterically. Gladstone opened his eyes.

Between fits of laughter, the Being explained that all she said in the agreement was that he would die before the town did. She wasn’t going to kill him. Her entourage laughed raucously.

Gladstone exhaled and his legs gave out. One of the townspeople caught him. His hat fell forward over his face as he scrubbed his hand over his eyes and through his hair. He collected himself and stood, breathlessly thanking the concerned townsperson.

The Being and her squad left in a haze of fog, light, and laughter.

The townsfolk were eager to show Gladstone their thanks; while it seemed like the fae ultimately just wanted to mess with them (maybe?), they appreciated Gladstone’s handling of the situation and willingness to take the brunt of it for them. Besides, they reasoned, the fae could easily have become bored and simply destroyed them all on a whim if he hadn’t taken charge.

Gladstone expressed his gratitude and accepted their thanks and insisted that he had to leave. 

He drove off with most of the town out to wave goodbye to him.

At a stop later, he found all kinds of baked goods and homemade canned foods stuffed under a soft handmade quilt in the trunk of his car.

He sighed and chuckled. He changed his plans for the evening. 

He’d drive to where Donald and the rest of the family were staying. He’d tell them that he lost a race and was given all this stuff as a reward. Donald would just love that.

A mutual of mine reblogged your analysis of Chat's use of Cataclysm and I had a question/thought regarding that (very interesting read, btw!).

You mentioned there being pros and cons of emotion versus logic-driven wielders and I wondered if maybe Marinette's pressure to be happy/positive all the time (because she's Ladybug and Ladybug can't get akumatized) is part of what drives her to be more logic focused than emotions focused, a person's natural thought-processes aside, thus partially explaining how she sees and thinks about things and why she was so frustrated at Chat for not using the Lucky Charm "correctly"?

When you start evaluating Chat and LB's characters from the emotion vs logic angle, you can kind of see the differences between the two from a different angle and how someone who is more logic-driven could get frustrated and confused by how emotionally-drive people work. I think.

Idk, sorry if this doesn't make much sense. It's late where I am and I didn't want to forget to ask you this before I went to sleep XD

Hey @sunshinedragon20 ! Thank you so much for your ask! And sorry it's gotten me literally like a month to reply haha. Life has been A Handful™ lately, but anyway about your question.

It makes total sense, don't worry! Though, I'm not exactly sure if the pressure to be possitive would be the reason she's logic-driven. But alas, let me get on my clown bullshit for a sec and allow me to elaborate:

We've never gotten a scene where Marinette prevents herself from feeling in order not to get akumatized. We don't know what she thinks about it, nor what her strategy is to prevent becoming vulnerable to akumas. We constantly see Marinette feeling all of her emotions, even when those emotions are negative. When she got cornered by the akuma in Chameleon and Tikki reminded her that akumas only attack people who think there are no solutions to their problems, Marinette was very much able to fight it off because at her core, she is someone who always has a solution.

There's also the fact that Marinette finds comfort in logic. She tends to get carried away by her feelings-- though not to a tipping point of despair-- and one strategy she uses to stay in control is to rationalize. We see her doing this constantly while trying to manage her crush on Adrien, for example. She comes up with elaborate plans to tell him she loves him because in her mind, that ensures that she will be successful because her plans are logical, and that way she won't get hurt. The thing with Marinette though, is that she struggles following her gut feeling. Even when her strategy is correct, even when the plan checks out, she has trouble trusting that she's right (or at least, at the very beginning and occassionally when someone comes to question her performance as Ladybug). And that's where Chat comes in.

Adrien is a very intuitive, empathetic person. In contrast with Marinette, he's able to keep his cool even when people are trying to push his buttons because he's able to see situations from several different points of view. Whereas Mari thinks her way out of a problem, Adrien emotes out of it. And that's something Marinette as Ladybug cannot easily relate to with Adrien as Chat because they're two partially opposite ways of reacting to your environment.

Marinette is used to make the most out of a situation by using logic per the Lucky Charms. She has never even considered she's able to ask for whatever Lucky Charm she wants because 1) It's not like she actually knew what she was doing the first time she was Ladybug. She got a random Lucky Charm and just assumed that's how it worked. And 2) Even if she can ask for a Lucky Charm, Marinette second-guesses herself so much that she probably would have a hard time choosing a Lucky Charm to begin with, so it's probably in everyone's best interest that she gets random ones because her strength lies in her improvisation skills anyway.

Chat on the other hand has no problem following his gut feeling to take a decission in battle. Once he sees a solution, he sees a solution. He follows through with it and only becomes aware of other possible outcomes once he's in hot water. But that also has to do with the way he's used to wielding his Miraculous.

From all the different ways Chat has summoned his Cataclysm we can assume that wielding the Cat's ring requires a lot of restraint and resolution because the Cataclysm can actually come up in a lot of different ways, so you have to be clear in your intent of how you're going to use it. As we saw in Chat Blanc when he was about to attack Hawkmoth, if the wielder is not focused, it can get out of control. So, whereas Marinette has the luxury of considering all possible outcomes, Adrien has to commit to one.

These two fundamentally strategies are also seen in the current Ladynoir Conflict, btw. The reason there's a problem at all is because a) Ladybug thinks her logic checks out and hears no complaints from Chat b) Chat assumes he's seeing things from Ladybug's perspective (e.g. "Now that you're the Guardian you have so many more things to do," "She probably won't need Chat at one point anymore," etc.) and that, added to his plethora of trauma and personal problems, prevents him from speaking his truth because he doesn't want to upset her as he assumes he will.

So yeah, in short, when you start looking at the characters from this logic vs. emotion-driven strategies, you see how Ladybug could get frustrated at the way Chat comes up with a plan and how Chat canonically thinks Ladybug's plans sometimes are borderline ridiculous (Pharao, Sapotis, Reflektdoll, Origins, and many, many more lol). It also gives you a nice little new way to look at the Ladynoir Conflict. You can see why Chat's silence could eventually irritate Ladybug and why Ladybug's assumption that everything is okay could end up wounding Chat.

So yeah, sorry for the rant haha and thank you very much for your ask! I'm glad you enjoyed that meta. I could talk about Chat's Cataclysm all. freakin. day.

Hi! Do you have any advice for those who want to start writing?

Yes! So honored you asked. I'll put it below the cut. Other writers, feel free to chime in!

(Gearing this specifically towards tickle fics because, well, *gestures around*)

- Mentioned it a whole bunch in my other advice post but it really is a big deal: Write for yourself. I cannot stress it enough. Whatever you like to write, make sure you're having fun and you're writing what you like.

- Find your style! There is no krabby patty formula for The Ideal Style. Everyone has different preferences. Your preferences matter most! If you like all caps laughter dialogue? Great! No laughter dialogue at all? Cool! Reader fics? Nice! First person fics? Sick (pos)! Most people emulate the things that they like to read in their writing and I think that's a great place to start! I like 3rd person POV with an internal monologue and that's what I stick to, pretty much.

- Follow your inspirations. Okay so this one, yes, but be careful. If you like someone's writing or style, there's nothing wrong with emulating it/borrowing bits. That's how I learned to draw, actually (and how most artists learn their craft). If you like a certain author and they do something you like, try it out for yourself! I personally am not a fan of laughter dialogue, so I looked to the amazing writers around me to see how they describe laughs/sensation. It's a great way to learn, because your voice and style will filter through. What this doesn't mean, though, is plagiarizing. Not to sound like a school teacher but if it ain't yours, don't use it.

- Your style will change. Embrace it. I have improved so much since my first fics, and I did that by embracing change. Changing things up is good, actually, and it helps keep things fresh for you! Take a risk, switch something up, etc. It'll help avoid feeling like your fics are stale.

- Writing is practice. The only way you can possibly learn is by doing it. Whether or not you have a blog, just get writing! Try things out! Pick a pairing/group/character and experiment. That's how I started my blog in the first place. I posted a few FinnPoe experiments that I had and decided that I liked it here. Practice, practice, practice, my loves. Don't crunch or make yourself miserable.

- (re: write for yourself, writing is practice) if you find yourself writing fics for the sake of writing/attention, not because you enjoy it, then step back. I had...trauma relating to creating any sort of fandom content because of this. Not everything is gonna be sunshine and roses (talked about in the next point), but if you feel miserable, it's okay to take a break. I don't want to lean too heavily on this, but if you'd like to read more on it, this post about covers it.

- You don't have to like everything you make, okay? You really don't. Don't let anyone tell you that you do. Not every fic is gonna be the Mona Lisa, either. I have many a fic that I've made that I loathe--some posted, some not. Sometimes you run out of steam, sometimes the idea doesn't blossom how you want, sometimes you just fall out of love with a fic. That's okay and normal. Just try to learn from the creative experience for your next go around.

- Taking prompts is hard. Don't hurt yourself. This...is one I need to get better at. If you're looking to run a blog and take prompts (which you don't have to do, btw), that's so cool and funky fresh of you, but do so with your health in mind. Please. If you get a prompt for something you don't like/are uncomfortable with, you don't have to write it. If you are creating content, you have no obligation to create anything that makes you uncomfortable.

If you wanna take prompts, take a number you can handle and the ones that inspire you most. If you have to decline a prompt, that's totally fine. Start and don't finish? That's okay too. People may be disappointed, but you matter more than that disappointment. I can talk more about taking prompts in another post if anyone's interested but I'll leave it at that for now.

- (Re: writing is practice) Get going! Easier said than done, I know, but really do get going. No amount of theorizing is gonna get a fic done, just do it. Try it out. You and your writing are worthy and ever-growing. The writers you idolize are likely agonizing over a WIP or five (hey writers go write a sentence on one of your WIPs rn). Take the leap and try.

- It's okay to work on a fic little by little. I have literally 30+ fics cooking at the moment. Every once in a while I add a paragraph or two. Sometimes I get inspired and write a fic or two in one go. I've had WIPs I've been sitting on since my blog's inception (*casts a sidelong glance at the Home Again series*) and that's perfectly okay. You'll see some people churning out fics every week. If that's you, great! If that's not you, that's okay. Be gentle with yourself.

- (Re: writing is practice, get going) Headcanons and drabbles do wonders for inspiration. I do this all the time. Tell us your thoughts on a character, write something short, etc. It's a great way to dip your toes in the water. Ask for headcanon requests if you want! I have a headcanon tag and I treat it like my spice rack when I write. Not only will writing little bite-sized bits help your brain get going, you'll be able to lean on these bits for later works. Do one of those little "send me a character" ask memes! Reblog a sentence starter list and ask for submissions! Or just do them on your own! Get going.

- Submit fics if you want! My submission box is open (I only take SFW submissions at the moment) and other writers likely take them too. Send an ask/message and ask the person (me included) if it's okay to submit something, and they'll host that fic on their blog! This is ideal for anon writers who don't want to/can't run a blog. I always sing the praises of having a blog because there's nothing better than having a space that's yours, but if you're nervous, that's an excellent place to start. Make sure you follow any submission rules that person may have (and sign your work)! AO3 is an excellent avenue as well.

- EDIT: Writing is like riding a bike. It may take some time for you to get used to it/get into a groove you’re happy with. That’s okay. Take your time and soon enough you’ll be on your way. If you fall, just make sure you get back up.

oh hey how did I manage to actually draw? and there’s color? (sorry from the non-white background btw I’m sorta too lazy to put effort into finding a way to change it, or even add color to the bones lol)  honestly seriously I never expected myself to draw full color and things like this, just like, planned to just… make it black and white or something, you know, just line and I… shade slime and nothing else for some reason…

Haruhi Fujioka from Ouran Highschool Host Club is one of my fav anime characters of all time and I headcanon her as ace so it fit at the time but I have been recently thinking of changing it to a male anime character to reflect my gender. I need to find one I like as much tho.

Ace blog... ace flag 👌 nice. Fun fact: I pretty much haven't updated my blog's appearance at all since I started it.
