Gift-Exchange of the Aerial Kind
Heeeyyyyy @fluffytuffles, you requested some kittins, so I got ya some kittins. This, as many of my stories do, started as a funny one-liner, and then ran away from me faster than you can say cumulus cloud. Enjoy! ♥ All my love to those who read/like/reblog!
“How’s the weather up there?”
Alonzo sighed.
“Hey, hey Alonzo, how’s the weather-”
“I heard you the first time.”
“You shouldn’t ignore someone speaking to you,” Etcetera huffed, crossing her short arms. “It’s not polite.”
“I suppose. The weather isn’t that much different from how it is down where you are.”
“It must be warmer, surely,” Electra tried to assist, “warm air rises up. Is your head warmer than your paws, Alonzo?”
“Not really.”
Silence arose, for a short while.
“...Are you sure?”
Alonzo sighed.
Really, it was to be expected. After the incident with the eel monster book, Asparagus had begun to encourage the kittens’ curiosity about all things nature and science, or natural sciences, as he called it. It gave the question if there were any unnatural sciences, but that was something that Alonzo really did not want to find out.
Demeter had somehow unearthed a book that specialized in cloud shapes and what that meant for the weather they were going to have soon, and the kittens had downright devoured it. Now all they seemed to think of was clouds, arguing for more time outside to play as soon as they spotted an indicator for a “cumulus cloud” and throwing around enough nonsensical words (at least for Alonzo’s ears) that Munkustrap had taken a look at the book himself and was now brainstorming rhymes about clouds in his free time.
Alonzo had tried his best to remain unaffected as always, but that was not easy at all when the affected party was so… insistent.
“I don’t think my head is high enough that I would notice a difference, other than the temperature of the ground or the wind,” he said, as patiently as he could manage.
“Huh,” said Etcetera, and that was that.
Or not.
“Then would Old Deuteronomy notice a difference?”
“I don’t think so.”
“Would Munkustrap notice a difference?”
“I’m taller than him!”
“Would Bombalurina notice-”
“I don’t know,” Alonzo gritted out, carefully sheathing his claws from where they had burrowed themselves in the brittle rubber of the main clearing’s tire. “I don’t think her head is high enough, either.”
“Then how high would one have to be?” Etcetera demanded, stomping both of her hind paws on the floor. She reminded Alonzo of a disgruntled bunny.
“How would I know?”
Frowning, Electra crossed her arms as well. “Well! You certainly seem to know what isn’t high enough, so her question is warranted.” (‘Warranted’ was her favourite word of the day, even though someone had spilled milk over that page in Jennyanydots’ dictionary.)
Alonzo’s eye twitched. He breathed deeply, counted to ten, then backwards to one.
“I am but a lowly Jellicle cat. What do I know about science? Ask Demeter. Or Asparagus, or find whoever is carrying the book around at the moment. If you’d excuse me.”
With that, he stood up and made himself scarce.
The two kittens stared after him, shaking their heads.
“He ought to remember his manners,” Electra said, with a scorn in her voice that would have made Jenny proud.
Etcetera shook her head again and sighed deeply.
“It’s probably the weather. He’s grumpy because he got wet this morning.”
“Well, if he’d known what rain clouds look like, he wouldn’t have gotten wet.”
They set out to find Demeter, separating briefly to cover more ground.
Etcetera stared upwards ever so often, wondering if she could convince Pouncival or Tumblebrutus to climb up one of the higher hills of junk that lined the narrow passageways and report about possible weather changes.
Jennyanydots definitely wouldn’t allow it if she asked, so she should avoid talking about it at all in her vicinity, if possible. Even if it was a little dishonest. But then again, she didn’t have to tell Jenny about every single thing she did, did she?
(Mostly Etcetera did so anyway, but that was because there was always something interesting that had happened during her day, and she needed to share it with someone who was willing to listen. And Jenny was always willing.)
Her observation of the sky was suddenly disrupted by a colourful string, seemingly suspended in mid-air. Etcetera’s eyes went wide, and she crouched, her back end wiggling vigorously in time with her ears as she took aim. Taking cover somewhere wasn’t that important, because the string didn’t have any eyes to spot her with and she also wasn’t really training to hunt. Nobody was watching her, either, she reasoned with herself, so it should be alright.
Baring her teeth and unsheathing her claws, she pounced.
The string didn’t stand a chance.
It was a nice string, Etcetera thought as soon as she was thoroughly tangled in it, light blue and soft. Maybe it had once been part of Munkustrap’s cardigan.
The question remained: where had it come from?
She rolled on her back, back paws still violently kicking at the bunched-up string, and cast her eyes upwards. She half-expected to see Mistoffelees somewhere above her, maybe in the middle of a new magic trick.
But there was no Mistoffelees anywhere, and even if there had been, Etcetera wouldn’t have noticed him.
Instead, her entire field of vision was filled with clouds.
Oh, she thought. “Oh,” she said, shortly after.
Clouds were big.
That by itself was not really a new revelation. Of course they were big, that’s why they could block out the sun and make it rain in the entire city.
But now that her view wasn’t obscured by trash, grumpy Alonzos or dangling strings, the sky seemed to stretch out indefinitely, and the clouds hung over her like gigantic, hovering mountains.
White and far away and weightless, and still so incredibly real and close and beautiful and big that it took Etcetera’s breath away.
It felt like someone had inverted an ocean and thrown it in the air, where it had stuck and now loomed over her head.
For a moment, Etcetera felt incredibly small. Then she looked down at the string still wrapped around her paws, and when she looked back up at the cloud mountains she felt even smaller, but it was a surprisingly comforting feeling.
“Thank you for the string,” she whispered to them, all small voice and small paws and small everything, fur fluffed up against the cool breeze.
Tantomile called Etcetera “little cloud” sometimes after she was bathed, and now her chest swelled with pride when she thought of this honorary title.
With a last look upwards, she carefully tied the string to the bow around her neck and plodded on to look for Demeter.
Maybe there was a way to reach the clouds and visit them? They probably hadn’t heard her thanking them, as far away as they were.
Would the clouds expect a present? As an exchange for the string, and maybe for the rain and shade and all the other marvellous things that clouds did?
Etcetera plopped down on her haunches.
Now this was a dilemma.
Electra would probably know a nicer word to describe her situation, but Etcetera could not afford to be distracted at this moment.
According to the book, it was very cold up in the sky, so maybe the clouds would like a cup of warm milk? Or a scarf? It would have to be a very, very long scarf. Maybe she could ask Peggy for help. Her scarves always turned out unintentionally and impressively long.
But perhaps they liked the cold, they never came down to warm up, after all. Did clouds like ice cream? Ah, no, they didn’t have tongues to lick it.
Etcetera sighed forlornly and chewed on the end of her string. What a tragedy! They had given her a present so selflessly, and here she was, unable to even think of a gift to make up for it!
This was how Demeter found her, holding and chewing her string, all the while sighing and whining about her own indecisiveness.
Demeter cleared her throat, brows already on their way up her forehead at the miserable sight in front of her.
“Etcetera, are you alr-”
“Oh, everything is terrible!” Etcetera wailed, clutching her string and falling into a very amused Demeter’s arms. “The sky is so very, very far away!”
“Yes… I suppose that’s true,” Demeter said, settling down and embracing the distressed kitten with gentle arms.
Etcetera immediately felt a little better.
“It’s so far away,” she repeated, and lifted a paw to show her string, “but they still bothered to give me this present, and I can’t think of anything to give them in return! Do you think I’m ungrateful, Demeter?”
Demeter took her offered paw and admired the string, ooh-ing and ahh-ing when Etcetera demonstrated how long and soft it was.
“On the contrary, it’s very nice of you to worry about returning the favour,” Demeter answered, secretly casting a wary glance upwards at the clouds. Was someone trying to play a prank?
“Can you help me think of something?” Etcetera asked desperately. “Please, please, Demeter. I promise I’ll jump in a mud puddle later and distract Asparagus so you can have the pipe all evening.”
Demeter snorted. “You know, sharing is-”
Big, wet kitten eyes blinked up at her. Then they squinted, and eventually fully closed. The little body before her even turned a little on the side to expose more of her belly.
Well. Who would blame Demeter for being unable to resist?
“That sounds like a great idea, Etcetera, thank you,” Demeter sighed, with what was truthfully just playful reluctance. Having the pipe for herself all evening did sound like a very nice way to end her day.
They quickly found Electra, who was busy staring at nothing, claiming that she was practising so she could productively spend time with Jemima, and filled her in.
“You’ve put yourself in quite a predicament,” Electra mused wisely, and Etcetera could only agree.
Together they wandered to and fro, alternately throwing ideas around and chasing each other to clear their heads. After one or two hours of this, they agreed that the clouds might like something cloud-shaped, and that they certainly wouldn’t mind if they wouldn’t be able to do much with it; after all, they could still put it on a shelf and look at it.
That was Demeter’s reasoning, at least, and both kittens considered it to be sound after some intense thinking.
The cloud-shaped present in question came to them surprisingly quick, in the shape of Demeter’s little girl arriving on her bicycle, her mother close behind her.
They had just left the tiny fairground in Covent Garden, and the girl held a puffy thing on a stick, her little brown face sticky with sugar.
While Electra admired the humans’ beautiful saris, eyes and mouth agape, Etcetera zeroed in on the strange treat. It was wonderfully cloud-shaped. And edible.
According to Demeter, it was called ‘cotton candy’, and it dissolved in water. Etcetera gave a squeaky meow in joy. Clouds had plenty of water, so they would be able to eat it!
Now she only needed to acquire some of it, and find a way to send it up.
Demeter was suitably distracted by the two humans, so Etcetera told her plan to Electra.
“We need to get to the fairground.”
“But that’s so far away… maybe we can ride in the basket?”
“They just came from the fairground, they’re not going to go back now. We could ask Jelly or Asparagus…”
Electra hmm’d, then her ears perked up. “I know who can take us!”
Bustopher Jones was a little busy – Munkustrap was trying out a new song – but he still agreed to accompany them.
“It’s been a while since I was at the fairgrounds,” he said, waving Munkustrap goodbye and patting each kitten’s head in greeting, “but I do know one or two humans who help out at the food stalls from time to time. We just might be lucky.”
The promise of an exquisite dinner made them walk faster, and they arrived at Covent Garden scarcely forty minutes later. Bustopher had been politely informed that they would absolutely not leave without cotton candy, so he guided them to the closest stand that offered it and put on a performance that would have impressed even the Rum Tum Tugger.
“Oh my,” the stall owner said when Bustopher heaved his heavy body onto the counter, plunked his head on her arm and started to purr like a decently sized motorboat. She started to laugh when he kicked his hind leg at her attempts to pet his velvety fur.
Etcetera’s and Electra’s arrival was commented by her with a delighted gasp, but the kittens only had eyes for the cotton candy.
“At your service,” the stall owner said graciously, pulled out a stick and created a cloud of cotton candy that was bigger than both kittens combined. She obviously had expected it to get devoured on the spot, so her obvious surprise was understandable when Etcetera carefully held the stick between both forepaws, awkwardly hopped off the counter and then walked away on her hind legs.
“…?” the stall owner expressed, eyebrows wandering in the direction of her hairline.
Bustopher cleared his throat nervously and purred a little louder. Electra, who’s whiskers were sticking together with sugar, left him to it and jumped off to join her friend; it was probably better to not overwhelm the poor human.
“Phase one is completed,” Etcetera said with satisfaction, sticking the cotton candy-stick into a forgotten bottle so her paws were free. “How high do we have to go so I can deliver my present?”
“Very high.”
“That high?”
“Mh-hm.”
Etcetera nodded resolutely. “Let’s find the highest possible place, then.”
They hid the cotton candy behind a bush and walked but a few steps before coming to an abrupt stop.
They sat on their haunches and stared up, and up, and up and up and up.
“Exceptional,” Electra said. Etcetera nodded, awestruck.
The ferris wheel towered above them, the tiny fairy lights wrapped around the gondolas blinking. They felt almost magically drawn to it, the way the humans inside reached their arms into the air and waved at everyone who looked into their general direction. It seemed almost impossibly big, and they were simultaneously gripped with the urge to jump on immediately as well as with an almost crippling fear of height.
It was exhilarating. It was exceptional. It was perfect.
They threw one last glance at Bustopher, who was currently cradled in the stall owner’s arms and rocked like a baby, then Etcetera retrieved the cotton candy and they approached the entry-and-exit-point of the ferris wheel.
To get on an otherwise empty gondola, Electra scratched at the ankle of a child while Etcetera darted past to not confuse any more humans with her walking on two legs.
The little boy screamed and jumped back, and the operator, thinking that he was simply too scared to get on, closed the door and gently pushed the boy to the side to clear the way for the next gondola. Electra squeezed in through the gap under the door.
The further they rose off the ground, the more excited they became. Etcetera held her string and the cotton candy tight, tail twitching from side to side. Electra bounced from one side of the gondola to the other, kneading the leather seats with all her strength.
“Look, look! There’s the theatre!”
“Really? But it’s the wrong direction…”
“Oh. Then it’s a different theatre. But look! There’s Admetus! Hey Admetus!”
Admetus did not appear to hear them as he pranced across the roof of the pub across from them and soon vanished from sight.
Etcetera joined Electra on the seat, and they both fell quiet when the wind picked up and the clouds pulled back a little to reveal the star-speckled night sky. The ferris wheel turned slowly, stopping ever so often with a small creak to let passengers exit and enter.
When they could look onto the roof of the gondolas left and right to them, Electra turned to her friend. “It’s time.”
Etcetera squeezed her string one last time and then climbed onto the wooden banister of the gondola, cotton candy clenched tightly in her left paw.
The ferris wheel stopped at the highest point with a soft jolt, as if the whole world waited just for her.
Shaking just a little, her tail held safely by Electra, Etcetera cleared her throat and held out the cotton candy towards the clouds.
“Hello,” she whispered, stretching her arm as high as it would go. “Thank you very much for your gift. I wanted to give you one in return, and I hope you like cotton candy. I can imagine you don’t get many presents, with how far away you are, so I hope this will, uh…”
“Suffice?” Electra suggested.
“Yes, thank you. I hope this will suffice. We really tried out best.”
Etcetera stared up at the clouds and waited.
Nothing happened.
She hadn’t really expected a cloudy arm to reach down and accept the cotton candy, but… well. She didn’t really know what exactly she had expected to happen.
As she stared upwards, she once again became aware of how very big and how very, very far away the clouds were. Maybe they couldn’t even hear or see her up there, just like Admetus on the roof.
Maybe they had a field glass up there so they knew where to send the string, and they hadn’t expected that she would want to return the favour.
“They have candy apples as well,” she tried after a while of nothing happening, “would you prefer one of those?”
The paw holding the cotton candy slowly fell back to her side.
“Well. Um. Thank you very much for the string,” she told them again, suppressing a shudder as a gust of chilly wind ruffled her fur. “I’m glad that you’re looking out for us. And for the rain. Yeah.”
With that, she returned back into the gondola, settling down next to Electra.
A mere second later, the ferris wheel started to move again, creaking and groaning.
Electra laid her paw on Etcetera’s shoulder to comfort her. Etcetera leaned into it, and they shared about half of the cotton candy before the sugar became too much even for them.
Bustopher looked upon their downtrodden faces and the half-eaten cotton candy, then he took them to another vendor, who gladly tied a yellow balloon to Etcetera’s bow.
Waiting for them at the fence of the junkyard was Demeter, who thanked Bustopher for his help and passed along an invite for a cup of tea at Skimbleshanks’, which was accepted happily.
The kittens reported of their failed adventure and their ride on the ferris wheel. Demeter was highly impressed.
“I’m sure they know how grateful you are for your gift,” she told Etcetera, who gave her a questioning look.
“Really?”
“Of course. Otherwise they wouldn’t have given you the string in the first place, hm?”
The kittens perked up a bit. “Yes, probably.”
“Now, you must tell me more about your ride. I don’t think I’d dare to go that high. The sky must’ve felt so much closer…”
Electra and Etcetera both thought Demeter to be one of the most brave cats they had ever met, so it was hard to imagine her being too afraid to try the ride. Maybe they would take her tomorrow.
“The sky didn’t feel much closer, to be honest. The ground just felt much further away.”
The wistfulness left Demeter’s eyes, and she turned to Etcetera. She chewed on her bottom lip for a moment, then she came to a stop, her tail brushing across the ground with the whisper of well-groomed fur.
“I know how we can send up the cotton candy to the clouds.”
The kittens bobbed up and down in joyful excitement. Was there a way after all? Did she know an even higher place than the ferris wheel?
Indeed, Demeter turned her head upwards, but when they whipped around to look, their eyes landed on the yellow balloon, floating serenely over their heads.
“Will they know it’s from me?” was all Etcetera asked, because it really was a good idea.
“You can leave a scent mark to be sure,” Demeter suggested, and that’s exactly what she did as soon as they had pulled in the balloon and securely tied it to the cotton candy stick.
And then, with reverence suited for a dragon or perhaps a very beautiful pidgeon, Etcetera let go.
In silence they watched as it hovered a short moment, pushed down by the wind, and then flew up, and up, and up and up and up.
They only looked away when it was but a tiny yellow spot among the cumulus clouds.
Etcetera was sure that she didn’t imagine the rain tasting and smelling a tiny bit sweeter than usual when the weather changed a few days later.
[gets emotional about the size of clouds and the miracle of life] [projects it on a fictional cat and gets unreasonably deep about it] Boom. I am the pinnacle of evolution. Everything is up to interpretation here, really. Are clouds sentient in the Cats universe? Who knows. Alonzo definitely doesn’t. >;) The height of the ferris wheel is perhaps a little bit hyperbolic, but the kittens are very small, after all. And Etcetera does have a habit of causing things to feel bigger than they really are. Thank you so much for reading! ♥♥♥

‘Tonight is the night!’ Diane thought happily as she got a diamond necklace on as she listened to the news.
She’s wearing the outfit that Lou made for her and two blue heels that she had with her. She’s also got two bracelets, a diamond one on her right wrist and a golden loop one on her left wrist.
The news mostly talked about the Gala for goodness and the Love Creator Meteorite will be shown to the public for the first time. The news also talked about the video of Diane saving Olive and how everyone started to not fear her.
Diane smiled as she looked at Olive, who was on one of the bunk beds, licking his paw. “So, what do you think, Oli?” she asked as she spun around to show him. Olive smiled at her and meowed happily. He jumped off of the bed and went to her, wanting to be picked up.
Diane chuckled softly and picked him up. She looked at as he nuzzled close. “Hey, Oli.” Daine said softly. The kitten looked up at her as she continued, “When this gala is done, I’m coming back for you and then we’ll go.” ‘With the Golden Dolphin.’ she thought to herself as the kittin smiled and licked her nose, causing her to chuckle.
She puts Olive down and gets her handbag as she exits the room. “I’ll be back.” she reassured the kittin, smiling.
Before Daine went to the main hall to exit the place, she stopped in the living room, because her last teammate was there, Pam Kitty Cat.
The fox gasped softly and smiled big as the lioness smiled back at her, chuckling, “Well, you look like a queen.”
Diane blushed and smiled softly. “Thanks, Pamla.”
Pam nodded as they walked to the door. Diane noticed that Pam wasn’t just wearing anything fancey, just plain black pants, white shirt, and a gray vest. “You're not coming?”
Pam shrugged and replied, “You’ll probably see me and the girls for like a glismp.”
Dina smiled and nodded. “Okay.” she said waving bye to her as she went.
Cuddles waited for her by the limo. He smiled as he opened the door for her. “Thank you, Cuddles.” Diane said, smiling back as she got in.
☆◇
Diane smiled during the drive to the gala as she reviewed her plan in her mind.
She knows that The Golden Dolphin will be in a titanium case controlled by a randomly generated five-digit code and the code is in case that’s handcuffed to the chief of police, but she has a plan to get it. She’ll secure the fake Dolphin and plant cirit jammers and download to override the power grid. At the end of the night, she’s going to give a toast to the Professor and when she says ‘Marmalade’, the lights will go out and she’ll have six seconds to make a move to do a switcheroo. When Chief hands the fake Dolphin, Diane will get her pardon, applause and applause, exit stage, and by the time they realize what happened, she’ll be gone in the sunset, with Olive, legacy cemented.
Soon as the car stopped, she’s at the Gala.
The Gala was outside, it was near where the Meteorite hit the city.
The car door opened and Diane looked down to see Professor Marmalade, dressed in a wonderful red suit, smiling up at her. “Well, Ms Paw. This is it!” the Professor exclaimed happily. Before Diane got out of the car, Marmalade added, “All eyes are going to be on you tonight, not me.”
Diane hummed and got out of the car after the ‘pep talk’, Professor Marmalade faced the huge crowd of guests and announced for all to hear, “Friends, meet The good Fox!”
Everyone turned their heads and looked at The Paw in silence… before they went into loud cheers and applause.
To Diane, this was new to her from a huge crowd. Never before, for most of her life, have seen everyone so… happy to see her.
Diane starts to smile softly as she walks to join the party. ‘Okay… fake Dolphin, fake Dolphin, fake Dolphin…’ she thought as she looked. She found a fake Dolphin on a table and was about to go to get it but a few people quickly went to her.
“Ms Paw!” one exclaimed excitedly. “Miss Paw! Is it true that foxes are connected to fire and the sun?” one asked excitedly.
Diane stared at them for a moment, surprised and somewhat confused, as she thought that she’ll work on the jammers, said, “I-what? Are foxes connected to fire and the sun? I say that some ancestors were but I say it’s a myth.”
She walked with a few people, answering some burning questions that they had as she secretly planted cirit jammers.
When Diane was alone, she looked at her golden loop bracelet, which has a hidden compartment lid to see a screen for downloading for the blackout percent and see through the case when she’s close to the chief, a recorder so she could remember this moment when she does her speech, and the button for the blackout.
The small screen for the download showed 5% and going up quickly.
She closed the lid with a soft click, got a fake Dolphin when no one was looking, and put it in her handbag.
She noticed a few kids carrying metal boxes, probably connected to the heart on the screen on the stage, showing numbers of money. The Love meteorite was above the screen, to be seen by all. ‘Why have kids do that? Cute faces, maybe.’ she thought. She also noticed that there's maps of the city and the places where the charity money will go to. She picked one up and put it in her bag as she walked.
Then a few people went up to her, excited. “Ms Paw!” some exclaimed. “It’s a pleasure to meet you!” one said.
Diane turned to them, this time smiling at them. “The pleasure is all mine.” Diane said, doing a small bow to them. When she looked back up, she saw the Governor in the distance.
Moe Wolf was dressed in a blue suit.
He noticed her and waved at her while one of the people asked, “Mind I take a photo for my kids?”
Diane started to get nervous but she calmly said, “Excuse me… I need a moment.” Then she disappeared into the crowd, looking for Chief, letting the Governor to be confused.
When Diane found Chief Misty Luggins, she was by the bar, with binoculars, probably looking for her. The case is on the bar.
Diane smiled as she went to her and tapped on her shoulder.
Chief Misty Luggins turned around, with the binoculars still over her eyes, and jumped when she saw Daine, throwing the binoculars up in the air.
Diane caught the binoculars before they hit the floor. “That would have been bad.” she said, handing them to the Chief.
Chief glared at her as she took them back. “Agreed…”
“Why do you even have them tonight? I mean, I know that you’re working, but loosen up if you can.” Diane said, sitting down next to her. She got the hidden compartment lid opened and had her other hand covering the lid as it quietly scans the case to see inside.
Chief Misty looked offended and said, “Well, I was going to order a drink.”
While the Chief ordered her drink, Diane took a quick peek to look at her bracelet.
The download was at 54% and it just finished scanning: showing the code.
The code: 1 2 3 4 5
‘Of course.’ Diane thought as she rolled her eyes and she closed the hidden compartment lid with a small click, which got Chief’s attention.
Chief looked at her, while holding her drink, and asked, “Did you make a sound?”
Diane, panicked, shook her head. “No.”
Chief glared and started to get close to her, making Diane start to sweat and her ears flat to her head.
Then from the speakers, there was a loud “HELLO EVERYBODY!!!!”
Everyone looked at the stage, including Daine and Chief, causing Chief to give Diane some space.
Pepe is on the stage by the main microphone, smiling at the audience. “How are we doing tonight!” he exclaimed excitedly.
“Good!” Everyone cheered.
‘What’s Pepe doing?’ Diane thought with a confused smile.
“I’m gonna sing a new song! But I didn’t write the song.” Pepe explained. “And the artist isn’t here to my knowledge but her friend is! Diane!”
The fox’s ears went straight up in surprise while everyone looked at her. Then someone picked her up, put her on their shoulder, and yelled, “Found her!”
Diane looked to see who picked her up.
It was Lou.
She smiled at him while Lou asked the Chief, “Mind if I take her?”
Chief nodded. “Go ahead.”
Lou smiled and took Diane, who was still on his shoulder, to the stage. Diane saw that everyone was smiling at her as she went to the stage with Lou.
When they got to the stage, Pepe stepped to the side for her, but before she went to the microphone, Herbert stopped her for a moment and pointed at her bag. “You’ll get it back after this whole thing,” he whispered, almost reassuring, “okay?”
Diane nodded slowly and handed it to him. Herbert puts her handbag on the DJ station table, where Stefanie was, waving at her. Diane waved back softly and went to the microphone.
“Okay…” Diane breathed before she spoke into the microphone, “This song is very special to me. This song was made by a friend of mine. Most of you would have known her as The Wild Rose Quartz but I knew her as Emily Lou.” Diane chuckled softly before she continued, “This song was going to let the world know that my team and I… were going to go good.”
This news shocked everyone that most gasped. There was also the sound of a dropping glass and shattered, probably from the chief.
Diane nodded and continued, “Yep… but you all are not here for a story… you’re all here to celebrate the good and to party. So, without further ado, I hand the mic to Mr Pepe Piranha!” Diane stepped to the side so Pepe could step up to the mic and went to go offstage.
Diane noticed that all four teammates were wearing blue outfits.
"You guys look great, by the way." she whispered to Stefanie. The tarantula smiled at her as she got offstage.
When the fox joined the crowd, Pepe started to sing; “Look… at me! Tell me what… you see? Am I good… or bad? Don’t you judge… so fast. Hey, hey, hey!”
The crowd started to cheer as the color of the lights became from light blue to a light purple. Diane smiled at the music picked up.
“I know you think that you know me. You made your conclusions. You think that I‘m scary, well that’s your own delusion. Listen what I tell you, there's more than meets the eye. So take a closer look to find a real good guy!”
Diane jumped when she heard the Governor call out to her, “Ms Paw.”
“Mr Moe Wolf!” she exclaimed as she turned around to face him, her focus now on him.
Moe chuckled softly, “If I didn’t know any better, I’d say that you’re avoiding me, until you got you on stage.”
Diane looked surprised at him. “Avoiding all of you?! What makes you say that?” she chuckled nervously before she sighed. “It was surprising when Pepe did that announcement thing and when Lou got me up there. I was not prepared for that…”
Moe hummed and nodded, his arms crossed his chest. “Okay, but I hope that you don’t mind me asking.”
Diane nodded to him, nervousness on her face. “Go ahead.”
Then Moe Wolf offered his hand to her and asked, “Mind if we dance?”
“Oh!” Diane exclaimed softly and took his hand.
“-And get up on the Floor! We’re gonna be Good Tonight!”
Diane dusted herself before she danced with Moe. They both start to have a good time dancing.
At one point of the dance, Moe commented, “I notice that you lost the prey’s clothing.”
“Yeah, I wanted to be the real me.” Diane said as the lights became a dark pink to a light pink as more money was given.
“I think that I like the new you.” Moe said as he danced with Diane.
“Well, that makes two of us.” Diane commented, smiling during the dance.
On stage, Pepe, while he was singing, Lou, who just got a trumpet, and Herbert, who was playing the bass, jumped into the crowd to join the party and continued to play the music. Everyone is dancing, even the Chief of police.
Diane felt alive, more alive than before, as she danced and laughed.
She saw Tiffany Fluffit and her cameraman, recording the event. For whatever reason, she waved at the camera before going back to dance.
Moe spins with Diane and picks her up. The music sounded faded and slowed as the both of them were smiling at each other. “So… how does it feel to not be feared for a change?” Moe asked as he put Diane down on her feet. Diane paused for a moment as she looked at everyone who was around them.
Everyone is cheering and having fun.
Diane looked at her tail, which was wagging a lot under her skirt. “It feels… Good.” the fox replied softly. “Real good.”
Then Diane held Moe’s hands in her’s. “Moe,” she started, smiling at the wolf as she put his pocket watch with the five diamonds on it in his paws, making Moe gasp in surprise, “it belongs to you.”
Moe smiled back as they went back to dance more with the music going back to the fast and loud beat as the lights became golden yellow.
Pepe, Lou, and Herbert were back on the stage, still playing the music. “We’re the Good Good Guys!”
Moe and Diane held their hands as they ran onto the stage and spined each other. Diane dipped Moe as the song finished, both breathing heavily and smiling at each other.
Diane got Moe upright as the heart on the screen on the stage, showing numbers of money got to the goal for the charities!
Professor Marmalade came on stage, talking into the microphone, “Thank you Ms Paw! And thank you everyone! We have reached our goal! Now all of the money that has been donated tonight will go to the different charities throughout the city!”
While everyone cheered, Diane looked at her golden bracelet’s hidden compartment lid opened and had her other hand covering the lid to see that the download was complete at 100%.
Diane smiled as she stepped up next to Professor Marmalade, her hand still over her bracelet. “Mind if I give a speech?” she asked Professor Marmalade.
The Professor nodded and stepped to the side to let her be front center stage.
Diane took in a breath, ready to press the button, and said to the crowd, “It’s been an honor to learn and start to blossom the flower within. A huge thanks goes to-” Diane stopped as she looked at Moe, Herbert, Lou, Stefanie, and Pepe.
They’re smiling at her. It reminded her of the photo of her and her team. For some reason, something inside her told her: ‘This is wrong… go good.’
She sighed a bit before she closed the hidden compartment lid again with a small click. “To Professor Marmalade!” she exclaimed, smiling and finished her small speech. She moved back a bit to let the Professor have the spotlight as everyone cheered and noticed that the Chief just got the Golden Dolphin out of the titanium case.
“Chief,” Diane said, facing the Chief, “may I do the honors?”
The Chief was hesitant at first but handed the Golden Dolphin to her. Diane smiled a bit sadly, knowing that this is probably the close of her holding the Dolphin, as she hands it to Professor Marmalade.
The Professor smiled big as he showed the Golden Dolphin to the audience while Diane looked down before she noticed Moe walk over to her, a proud smile on his face. “A deal is a deal.” he said to her, sounding happy for her. The team nodded in agreement.
Diane felt that she was going to cry as Moe turned to the audience and started, “In the power infested by me-”
But he was interrupted by a black out, making everyone confused.
It lasted for five seconds until the lights came back on, a white screen on the stage. “That… was odd.” Diane commented, confused like everyone else.
Then one person from the crowd points above the screen and shout, "The meteorite is gone!"
Everyone looks up at where the meteorite was placed:
It was gone!

Game Pile: Tinderblox and Kittin
Game Pile: Tinderblox and Kittin
Hey, do you like Jenga? Jenga’s a pretty solid game. I mean, it’s going on fifty years old, it’s simple, it’s really cheap because every company can make their own version easily. It’s one of those games you’ll see in a dollar store as some company makes their own version of it. Jenga is definitely a success and I think it’s reasonable to say, if you like having a board game collection, it’s a…

hey say everything comes back eventually. And, clearly, the ‘90s reemerged some time ago. One of the best things that have happened since the trend started is definitely Lost Tracks Vol. 2, by Miss Kittin – today known as simply Kittin – and THE HACKER, the EP launched by Dark Entries, which contains four previously unreleased demos recorded between 1997 and 1999 – and that sound as fresh as ever. https://ift.tt/2Or5MIk

Toontown Tips And Tricks
Toontown Rewritten Important Tips 2020
Howdy! I’m sure you’ve seen this post and said to yourself: “Hey, maybe this will help me out with my doodle training luck!” OR you were perhaps brought here by a Toon who’s heard of me, or this post and wanted to share knowledge of doodles and help their fellow Toon! Who knows? However you got here, welcome! I hope you learn a lot here! In this post contains many factors about the good traits and tricks for a doodle, the ways to train, the things not to do with your doodle, and some more! So sit back, relax, get all comfortable, and hold on before you buy that Donald’s Dreamland doodle you’ve been saving up for, here you’ll learn what works in the realm of doodles!
Shout-out to my friends: Katy Kat, Mew, and Kittin Around! (They are in the image and I had asked them if I could get a screenshot of my Doodle for this. Thank you for that and the amazing run! Stay toony, friends!)
These two tips are very important and im not sure if most people knew about these! 1.Using two lures at the same time makes it so it only has a 75% chance of hitting, this is decreased even more if the two lure gags are different. Toontown Central. Toontown Central would obviously be the easiest location in the game, being your first playground, but personally, I think it's marginally more tedious than Donald's Dock, as by then, you'll have more gags to battle with, so TTC is typically longer in comparison to DD. 4 hours ago “Toontown Online is very important to me,” workforce member Brad Flory says. “This game introduced me to some of my greatest friends, and helped me through the toughest of times in my life. To say that this game helped shape who I am as a person would be an understatement. — Toontown Rewritten (@Toontown) June 2, 2021. These are important tips for Toontown Rewritten Macbook users! I hope this is useful! Like and Subscribe:).
Hey, there! This post is being updated! I am currently working on researching more information, especially as I found there is more out there now! I am working on adding information here so that you can have the easiest time either understanding my post, or getting quick information! You can still read the information here, just know more is being added! 4/30/2021
P.S: The image I’m speaking of is only visible on my blog’s main page which you can visit if you are interested in my other Toontown Rewritten content, as well(on the main page, you can just scroll and read my posts from there and there includes an integrated image on the post that you can see!).
I hope you find this post informative as I worked rather hard on it and researched as best as I could for it and have edited many, many times to refine it and make it even more better and improved for my readers, enough babbling on, you’re here for Doodle Training, after all! Enjoy!
CONTENTS: What Doodles and Traits to Buy, For Dummies, Doodle Trick Accuracy, Time Factors For Training My Doodle? And, Over-all Tips.
This post is basically a shorter version of my older post which has many mistakes in it. I am fixing my mistakes in the other blog post and getting a fresher start. I have taken down the post, and this post is a fresh new start! Have fun training some doodles!
Now, many of you want to train your doodle quickly, yes? Well, let me tell you something very important. Stray from the path of Youtubers telling you to download a mouse recorder! I’m saying this because, that mouse recorder can get youBANNED.
The fastest way to train your doodle, is training it with friends. If you train it with more people, (If they are all training the same trick) your doodle levels up in the trick that is being trained in 1 day at the maximum, I’d say it’s quicker than that but I don’t quite know how quickly it is, BUT the time it takes to train up your doodle to the next laff point depends on the trick and it’s accuracy which you will hear about later so hang tight!
Throw out ToonHQ, nobody on there trains doodles and it will be impossible to find a group, and if you do, it will be chaos not training the same trick. Find some in-game friends and help each-other train doodles. Find a system such as taking turns at each-other’s estates to make sure that it isn’t just focused at one toon’s estate and that you can train the doodles from each estate equally, this way every-toon is happy.
←←←←←←←←←←←←←←Traits and Where to Buy→→→→→→→→→→→→→→
Some of you don’t realize there is a difference with what playground you buy your Doodle in, but there is one. It is all in the traits of the Doodle! The traits determine some aspects of how well the Doodle trains. For example, Often Playful can help your doodle do the trick more.
I recommend not buying a doodle from Toontown Central, Donald’s Dock, or Daisy Gardens. Minnie’s Melodyland standard ones can be good but they have randomized traits on the doodles and it would waste your jellybeans returning and taking back several doodles to not even know you got the ones you want, and then you end up spending as mush as the DDL ones, even then, who knows if they even ARE up to par with DDL doodles? Donald’s Dreamland ones you can find one with the traits you need. The Brrgh aren’t nearly as good as Donald’s Dreamland as they say “Sometimes Tired” along with others and for a similar price, you’re better off with DDL ones which you at least know for certain will be good with the right traits.
These traits are the worst:
Always Forgets Always Grumpy Always Lonely Always Restless Often Bored Often Confused Often Grumpy Often Hungry Often Lonely Often Restless Often Sad Often Tired Rarely Affectionate
These traits are bad, kind of meh:
Sometimes Bored Sometimes Confused Sometimes Forgets Sometimes Grumpy Sometimes Hungry Sometimes Lonely Sometimes Restless Sometimes Sad Sometimes Tired
These traits are good traits:
Often Affectionate Often Playful Pretty Calm Pretty Excitable Sometimes Affectionate Sometimes Playful
These are the BEST traits:
Always Affectionate Rarely Bored Rarely Confused Rarely Forgets Rarely Grumpy Rarely Lonely Rarely Sad Rarely Tired Always Playful
The traits you will need are Rarely Tired, Rarely Forgets, Rarely Confused, and Always Playful. Rarely Forgets is the most important as it will be most useful for in battle, Rarely Confused is good for training, so is Always Playful. Rarely Tired will help with how often the Doodle is tired after performing a trick, with Rarely Tired the Doodle does 2 tricks before it becomes tired if it is barely trained but, this increases the higher the level the trick gets for your Doodle, all the way until maxed.
It will take a while to get a good doodle in the Donald’s Dreamland shops due to them always changing Doodles in stock everday, but it will be worth it to get a good doodle that will help you out during battle, and while you wait for a good doodle in the shops you can crush some cogs, play the trolley, go to a beanfest, or anything else to prepare for the doodle by getting jellybeans.
You will probably want to have a comfortable amount of jellybeans left after purchasing your new friend in the pet shops to spend on gags, feeding, or anything else you need in the Tooniverse.
♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦For dummies♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦♦
DO NOT USE YOUR DOODLE UNLESS IT IS HIGHLY TRAINED WITH GOOD ACCURACY! Many people make this mistake and they end up going sad, or someone else goes sad. It normally isn’t worth the risk unless it is maxed, depending on the trick and it’s accuracy(More on accuracy later).
It isn’t worth chancing a hit on a trick such as Dance, Doodles aren’t always a replacement for Toon-up, try not to get carried away using your doodle too much! I’d recommend using doodles for Ubers, though, it will help a lot as they have less Laff or in a situation where they can’t use their gags without risk. And be ABSOLUTELY sure you know this will not hurt the team by you using a doodle, such as during sound strategies, etc.
Toontown Rewritten Important Tips List
Be sure to take snapshots of the doodle’s traits before buying it, that way you remember. Or maybe you could write it down or something else, perhaps!
HOW TO TRAIN IT; It is very simple, actually! You click Speed-Chat, Pets, then Tricks, then click on the trick you want to train. When the bar is filled, the trick will level up, when it levels up then it heals one more laff point to toons. Repeat until it’s maxed! This takes awhile though! Getting friends training the same trick or 2 tricks you both want trained will likely speed up the process a little!
Spinning and Jumping and the like doesn’t make them do the trick, BUT that means you have to be sure to train the right tricks! Train the right tricks with the higher accuracy with your doodle, the accuracy is important because if a trick you choose has low accuracy it will be risky to use in battle and potentially cause you or someone else to go sad, especially if you are Toon-up-less or someone who needs doodles for healing in a bad situation. Trick accuracy is coming up soon!
I want you to make sure that you know this very important tidbit of information about when you max a doodle trick for you and others’ safety during battle. When it is maxed the doodle does NOT, I repeat, does NOT always hit. That’s not how it works. There are accuracy ratios on each trick which next, I will tell you about bringing us to a new section of the post.
♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣Heals & Accuracy♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣♣
Jump:5-10 Laff heal—–When maxed 97% accuracy
Beg:6-12 Laff heal——When maxed 87.3% accuracy
Play Dead:7-14 Laff heal—–When maxed 77.6% accuracy
Rollover:8-16 Laff heal——When maxed 67.9% accuracy
Backflip:9-18 Laff heal——When maxed 58.2% accuracy
Dance:10-20 Laff heal——-When maxed 48.5% accuracy
Toontown Rewritten Important Tips 2019
Speak:11-22 Laff heal——-When maxed 38.8% accuracy
The accuracy of these tricks is only for when the trick is maxed out (When it reaches the peak laff it can heal, it is maxed, I have listed the maximum heals) as nobody knows the accuracies for the tricks on each individual level.
Shout-out toSerpentine Jellyfish and Cheesy Jellyfish for helping me with this section. They helped translate it into comprehend-able numbers. I had to look it up. This is where I looked it up. Maxed doodle trick accuracy?(I DO NOT OWN THIS SITE NOR AM I PARTNERED WITH IT)
♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠Care & Training♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠♠
When your doodle is tired or went back to excited from affectionate after training(Affectionate is what your doodle will go to if it has the affectionate trait most times), then you don’t HAVE to feed the doodle jellybeans if you don’t want to, you just have to hit the Scratch button until the doodle is back to affectionate/excited. When training the doodle, certain speed-chat phrases can cause the doodle to become sad, angry, or excited or affectionate again once said by the Toon. Phrases from the Compliments section will cause it to become excited or affectionate again after being tired. Meanwhile the Stinky speed-chat phrases will cause the doodles to become angry, tired or sad from excited or affectionate. Sad and angry doodles don’t do the tricks as well so you should likely stray away from the Stinky phrases. Who knows? Maybe today you can play around with some of the speed-chat phrases around your doodles!
Before the speed-chat topic ends, you’re wondering why “Stay.” doesn’t work, well, it isn’t up and running quite yet so it doesn’t work, don’t try the “Please don’t bother me.” phrase along with “Stay.” as they don’t deter doodles from you.
If you have a highly trained doodle, it will become way less tired to the point they are almost never tired, of course, in battle they DO have a limit, so be careful! If you have a doodle with Rarely Tired, but it isn’t trained yet in that trick, they last 2 tricks without being tired. If you Feed your doodle before you go do mints, factories, etc. It may have a slightly better chance be a little better and it becomes less likely it will not do the trick. Plus, if it’s maxed in a trick that has pretty good accuracy, it’s even less likely to miss!
If you are patient, you can fully train it to the next level in 1 day or 2 days with or without friends. The more friends you have helping you train them, the faster it will be. Rarely confused helps with training. The update came! The best tricks you can use are Jump, Play Dead, and Rollover. Beg might be on the list of good tricks as well.
During training, you may notice that Rarely Tired doodle is 1 trick and tired, but that’s because it’s been doing the trick repeatedly and really tired, you can reset the doodles’ tired for training by going to the playground for a little bit and going back to the estate. Once you pick up training for awhile though, they will go back to being 1 trick tired since they have been doing the trick a lot, don’t worry, that Rarely Tired doodle is still 2 tricks tired, it’s just trained for a long while.
Training the doodle in battle is not nearly as effective and not to mention risky, after all, in the estate the doodle will recover from being tired and be able to do the trick, sometimes while tired, compared to in battle, it does the trick less, stays tired for forever, and you are stuck in battle with cogs which will start to lower your laff drastically.
You noticed while you are training your doodles that they kind of do a weird 360 degree circle and purposefully walk out of the range that your trick commands reach, right?
Well, there ARE a few things you could potentially do, such as back them into a corner, jump onto a roof, you could do the floating glitch with friends or an alt one toon saying “Here girl/boy!” while floating and the others saying the command(to stay awake you just have to type but not enter in the chat a random letter), if you have friends/alts training with you then maybe you could try corralling them. These are all some ideas on things you could do potentially to stop this very, very problematic issue we all have been facing as doodle trainers.
◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊Time factors for training my doodle?◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊
There’s several factors for how long it will take you to train your doodle, the factor is the time the animation of the trick is, the accuracy of the trick, and then there’s how many levels there are to level up your doodle in the trick.
If you train Speak, it’s animation is shorter but it has a 38.8% chance of hitting, and that’s when it’s maxed out, very unfortunate, and then there’s the maximum 22 laff heal you have to grind up. Then there’s Play Dead, with a longer animation, sure, but it’s accuracy is 77.6% when maxed which is drastically better, and it has the maximum 14 laff heal, but it really depends, doesn’t it?
This will take awhile but with help and determination you will be able to do it. Just please, don’t hack to train a doodle, it won’t just ruin your chances of maxing it, it will keep you from playing on that account you worked so hard on. You know? The one with several 100-laffers, maxed doodles, maybe even a 137, oh and those favorite toons, and clan toons, etc.
I’m not sure EXACTLY how long it will take, possible I could be wrong. You have to wait for the animation to be over to make the doodle do it again, and tricks such as Play Dead have pretty long animations, and then there might be the accuracy of the tricks slowing them down, and how many laff points it has at maximum. It all really depends on the trick trained, I guess.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥Overall Tips♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
Don’t use your doodle much in factories or mints or bosses unless you are Toon-up-less with a doodle that is maxed in a trick that will work a decent amount of the time.
Don’t give a reaction if people insult your doodle. They leech off of your reaction! Sometimes Trolls will target you.
Invite some friends over to your Estate soon to train your doodles! It will really help out with the training and it will help them train their doodles, too!
If your doodle is not there if you are at a friend’s Estate, Go to The Estate and teleport to your friend again and poof! Then they reappear! (Tell this to your friends if it happens to them, as this is a glitch that I don’t know if it was fixed.)
If all of your doodles (except the doodle of the Toon you are playing as) are missing, don’t panic. Go to the playground and back and all your doodles are safe and sound in your estate.
Why when you spam the trick they don’t do the trick as often is because you need to wait for your doodle to start panting again, or to go back to slouching if tired. If they are Affectionate the easiest way to tell if they are ready to do tricks again is to click on one doodle’s name tag and wait for the options on the profile to turn white again.
Throw out ToonHQ, it’s chaos with impossible-to-find groups, and there will be many people not training the same trick which will be chaos and slower training, not to mention that you can’t FIND a group all training your trick because it’s speed-chat only.
I highly recommend Play Dead and Jump! They are very good tricks with good accuracy, Play Dead is slightly chancy, though, so be careful out there!
