I hope the spirit is still there #We all know lwj sticks to his 9pm bedtime no matter what #and wouldn't be traditionally texting on a cellphone #He wakes up at 4:30 am to go for a run #gets home at 5:30 to use the lan household computer to go on his shared google doc with wwx and comments 'are you still awake?'#cause lets me real. wwx might also keep a steady sleep schedule but at least he *can* pull an all-nighter #Can you imagine lwj at a sleepover? I admit to being the kid who went to bed and woke up 3-4 hours before the others #you either get fed up and wake someone else up for enrichment - or plan ahead to bring a book - or Walk Home #I fully missed out on all that deep heart to heart stuff. Not Willingly.#he means it. the willingly part IS the important part #when dennis HAS a choice and when mac is not actively REMOVING that choice #THEN he is like. fine with it #but you people don't seem to understand what it is that mac is doing that dennis is opposed to #is it rlly that hard to understand that mac putting dennis into these situations like in ddl and gets romantic is intentional on mac's part #dennis' issue is. pre-tlo percy and annabeth were definitely the type of people to just...never notice the mistletoe right above them.

every year the campers intentionally hang mistletoe above the places where they usually hang out and chat. and then hold their breath every time they see the both of them together, expecting some big romantic christmas movie scene but it always ends in them just??? having a normal conversation and leaving to do their work??

silena comes randomly to them while they're talking below a mistletoe and she's just like "HEY guysssss don't you think the SKY looks really dark today?? feels like we're going to have a storm haha". the both of them just glance up and be like "nah the sun is out, we'll be fine" after which silena goes and screams into a pillow.

some campers have even seen annabeth pointing out to percy how pretty the mistletoe was WITHOUT EITHER OF THEM NOTICING

this tradition may or may not have continued till a few years after they started dating too.
