they're cute!! I don't have that much to say on them I've seen a lot of people have fun with designs of them they're fun! I like the common Hajime scene kid design I see with the hair highlights a lot. I really love seeing my favorite characters in different clothes and styles it's super cute :)! Personally if we're talking aesthetics adjacent to those I like the idea of a pastel emo Nagito more than emo but that's just my preference lol.

One of my interpretations of Nagito that I think is pretty accurate is I believe one of Nagito's love languages is playfully teasing people :)

DEFINITELY! 😆 I totally agree with you. Generally, you joke or tease others because you trust them to accept it. This is true for Nagito, but I think he doesn't trust others easily, so those he teases are people he trusts in a special way.

Speaking of teasing, there is a line that I really like and think is very komahina in Chapter 1: when Hajime and Nagito asked Ibuki about what she heard during the blackout, Ibuki said "Leave it to me! I'mma take a bite outta you!" and then Nagito had somehow given permission without Hajime's permission, "If you tell us, I’ll let you bite Hajime later."

* The lines are exactly the same as in the game. I checked the lines on YouTube.

When I first saw this, I thought, "Do you think Hinata-kun belongs to you or something???" ahaha 😂 (FYI, the line in Japanese is "うん、教えてくれたら日向クンを噛んでいいから。" I think the English translation has almost the same meaning, but if it was translated straight, it would be "Yeah, if you tell us, you can bite Hinata-kun. Perhaps the sense that Nagito is saying something selfish is emphasized in the official English translation?)

This scene is from the second night. At this point, Nagito is supposed to believe that Hajime is one of the Ultimates and has some special talent, so he could have been more modest or hesitant, but for some reason he made such a joke with Hajime, even though it's not long after they met. I think that is really surprising. For those playing the game for the first time, it might seem that Nagito is originally a person who makes jokes like that, but after finishing the whole game and watching the anime (DR3), you can see that Hajime is the only person for Nagito who makes jokes like that.

Why was he teasing Hajime, one of the Ultimates (he thought) for whom he should have respect and admiration? The only explanation I can think of is that Nagito started to like Hajime as soon as he met him and felt a special closeness to him. 🤭💕
