I see them as good though buddies for sure, with tons of things in common, even in competitions. And the best drink friends! About love, I can bet even Germany would make the first step, since Scott is so so so so closed with feelings and such. Ludwig too, but all his time with Feliciano maybe taught him one thing or two.

Of course no huggies or kissing just like that. First a long difficult talk and after a couple of hours and full of blushing, Germany would say it. Something like:

"I care about you more then a friend, Scott. But it's okey if you don't feel the same. You are a good man"

The literal Vatican dropping an anime girl design for a jubilee year mascot wasn't on my 2024 bingo card but I love Luce, she's such a cutie and I'm 100% convinced she'd be besties with Hws Knights Templar. They give off the same energy. Especially with those canonically shiny eyes. Oh no prucan doesnt get hate for being problematic! Its a crackship. Prucan in this fandom is like a signal species where if its not there, and what you do find is people being rude about it, thats a sign we're not letting people do their own thing in peace let alone uplifting ppl having fun.

Ngl I genuinely want 18 year olds who joined the hetalia fandom in fuckin, 2016, to stop making posts talking about how we shouldn't glamorize the "old hetalia fandom"

I genuinely miss the kinkmeme, I miss people making the most insane and out there fill requests and crackships. I miss the 5000 different AUs people cooked up. 2p! was fun as hell. I miss all the old ocs and staying up until 3am watching skadipirate's videos. I think its good we're more well educated on the bigger issues, like hey maybe dont do *that* salute in germany/prussia cosplay, and are more culturally sensitive in general.

But in general I would rather we go back to people making France rape jokes and all the weird insanity that was the fandom in 2009-2014 vs....the current anti fandom culture, because at least back then people realized we were playing with fictional characters and weren't directly harming real people by making up weird fic. As long as people tag their content, they should get to post what they want.
