Truthfully, Gojo loves being the little spoon. He loves to be held against your chest, his hand tucked underneath your chin and his nose buried into your collarbone. He also loves when he gets to interwine his legs with yours, his large hands comfortably wrapped around your waist while he does nothing else but breathe in the smell of you.

You love when you're the big spoon too. When your arms are cradling his head, your fingers entangled between his white strands, your thumb drawing circles soothingly on his scalp, you feel a warmth in your chest. You love when he's breathing steadily, the ticklish feeling of his breath on your skin sending goosebumps up and down your spine.

Most nights, you often end up being the last to fall asleep because you're too busy relishing your sweet husband.

But this night in particular, you were too busy being thankful for him. For the joy he has brought into your life, for all the moments he made possible, for all the smiles and the tears, and for being with you and loving you the way no one else could out of 8 billion people in the world.

You think back to before you met him. To the time when you whole heartedly believed you were meant to go through life alone—To when you shouldered the burden of yourself and the world's on your weak shoulders.

You were fine with it. You were fine with coming home to an empty house, you were fine with turning all the lights on yourself, cooking dinner as you tried to blink the tiredness away, and eating alone in a table with an empty seat across you. You never longed for someone to do all those things for you, because you were always taught to rely on yourself. You were always taught that time stopped for no one— that everyone had their own lives just like you.

Then came Satoru Gojo, who defied all your principles.

He wrecked his way into your life, saw how your shoulders subtly quivered under the pressure of becoming someone and lifted that burden with you as he held your hand in his.

Before you knew it, you were returning to a home with the lights already lit up and homecooked dinner sitting on the table. Before you knew it, you were coming home to him wearing a silly apron, welcoming you back with the warmest smile.

For you, Satoru Gojo stopped time. For you, he would defy fate, and fight the Gods above. For you, he would go through the depts of hell and back. And he would do anything and everyhing to let you know that, yes, people had their own lives, but you were his.

"You're my entire life, you know that right?" You remember him saying with unblinking eyes.

In that moment, he broke down all the walls built around your heart, his soul touching yours as you finally realized that you wouldn't have to be alone anymore— that the burden on your shoulders didn't have to be so heavy and that time didn't have to be such a cruel thing in your eyes.

You hadn't noticed your tears dripping onto your husbands skin and onto the sheets until he shifts up to look at you, wiping the tears uncontrollably dripping down your chin. "What's wrong, sweetheart?" He asks with a soft voice, with those same eyes you know you'll always carry with you in your memories.

"I'm just.." You pause, feeling naked and vulnerable in that moment, "I'm just so grateful for you."

He says nothing else further, only smiling softly before he's peppering kisses all over your face. He leaves no space untouched, his lips trailing across your forehead, your cheeks, your nose, your chin, until finally, your lips.

"I'm so grateful for you too, sweets. More than words could ever describe."

actually on the verge of tears thinking about how after calypso's birthday ed must have woken up wrapped in Stede's arms, all soft and warm and safe. He got to watch Stede sleep and listen to his breathing... and then eventually he must have decided he wanted to do something nice for Stede, to make Stede feel just as loved as he felt in that moment!!!! And im just thinking about him carefully untangling himself from Stede's arms and sneaking out of bed, careful not to wake Stede up and going to make him breakfast!!! And even though the breakfast was kind of a jumble of random stuff it was made with so much love and I just,,..,,.., ARGHHG AUGGGHHHH OOOOHHHHH!!!!
