Asking what they're doing but it comes out harsh and biting. Both of the two panic a bit and it makes them seem so guilty and it only makes Felix angrier. Dragging Oliver off in a rush, not paying attention to how Oliver says he's hurting him. Ignoring the look Farleigh is giving him.

They get into a bit of a argument. Felix angry because he thought they talked about how Felix is the one Oliver is here for. And Oliver getting upset because he didn't do anything wrong. He was just waiting for Felix when Farleigh came up to chat with him. Was he supposed to tell Farleigh to piss off? He was only asking if Oliver was alright.

And it's both the right and wrong thing to tell Felix. Because Oliver should've told Farleigh to piss off but, he's right, Oliver was just being good and waiting, it's not his fault Farleigh doesn't know how to not bother what's Felix's. And why is Farleigh suddenly interested in how Oliver is doing??? Farleigh who was the only family member that Felix didn't care to actively stop from interacting with Oliver simply because they already don't and if they do then they're bickering. Suddenly Felix is suspicious of him.

And that's really bad for Farleigh because now, Oliver wants to talk to him. Continue their conversation and will be trying to talk to him the next chance he gets. (Why does Oliver feel like he has to hide this from Felix? He's allowed to talk to others right? But, Felix gets so upset. It'd be better to just wait for another opportunity where Oliver is alone so Felix doesn't get upset.)

It blows up, Felix catches Oliver trying to sneak away and confronts him in a hallway. Oliver is defending himself. He wasn't sneaking anywhere, he's his own person and if he wants to wonder off he can! If he wants to go find someone to chat with, he can! Felix can't just-!

Felix raises his hand against Oliver. Sending him to the floor and then it's dead quiet.

Which starts up Felix's apologies again, don't hate him please Ollie?? You can't hate me it was an accident! And Oliver agrees and reassures he doesn't hate Felix, just help him up.

If anyone saw this no one comes forward. At the breakfast table though everyone sees how Olivers cheek is red and swollen. How Felix looks incredibly guilty. Oliver tells them it was a accident when asked if he's alright and what happened.

Farleigh who has been dealing with seeing signs he doesn't want to see and maybe saw the whole thing earlier can't help but make a snide remark about the bruises. Asking if those were all accidents too. And Oliver who didn't think to hide the bruises because, yes, Felix said those were all accidental too so why would he hide them, suddenly feels exposed when asked about them in his context. Suddenly he's all too aware of the clear finger like bruises on different places across his arms. He freezes for a moment and instinctively covers one but quickly realizes how guilty that looks. Of course he says, they're accidents. When it's a bit too silent for a few seconds he goes on to say, we rough house and I'm much smaller and more fragile than Felix, these things happen. Immediately thinking back to what Felix said about the bruises.

It's the perfect excuse the table needed, any excuse would've done really even if it's spotty but Elspeth is eager for anything to hide the ugliness that was being implied at her table. She laughs, high and no where near genuine as she playfully scolds her son. Telling him to be more gentle with poor Ollie, he does seem a great deal more delicate. Sir James letting out his own laugh and agreeing with his wife. And soon, the subject is dropped and moved away from. Even if it's on the back of The Cattons minds.

It all escalates obviously. Felix accidentally hurting Oliver, Oliver feeling confused but forgiving him and the family sometimes accidentally witnessing some of these moments and then ignoring the marks when seated together to eat, rinse and repeat.

Until one day there's a louder than usual commotion happening. Felix and Olivers voices echoing across Saltburns hallways loudly. Summoning the inhabitants, from family to the workers. Who all stumble on the scene of Oliver attempting to run away from Felix who catches him in the main entry way. Holding him as Oliver struggles to get away and yelling to let him go! Let him go! And Felix screaming louder NO!

At first, no one knows what's happening. Why is this happening? Did Oliver do something?

Then tears are falling Olivers cheeks as he says he just wants to go home. Felix please I just want to go home now, let me leave!

Felix isn't moved by the tears and only tightens his grip, shaking Oliver, saying he doesn't understand why Oliver would want to leave. It doesn't make sense to leave Saltburn, Ollie just stay! How hard is it to listen?!

Oliver screams that Felix can't listen. Why does he need a reason to go home? Can't he just want to go home? Felix you can't keep him here against his will!

Then just want to stay here then!! It's not fucking hard! And Felix raises a fist and sends Oliver to the ground once again. Then Felix lunges for Olivers exposed throat and starts to strangle him.

For a moment no one reacts, no one believes what they're seeing, then they hear Oliver gasping and choking, see him clawing at Felix's hands on his throat and Sir James is yelling at the help the do something. Elspeth is covering her mouth in horror at something so, so, raw and grotesque, what is her baby son doing? Farleigh is stress gripping his hair while Venetia tears up and uselessly screams at Felix to stop it.

Staff run and grab Felix, attempting to pry him off Oliver but it's too late by the time they manage too because Felix lifts Oliver up and down quickly by the throat. His head hitting the ground with a sickening crack and he goes limp. Felix lets the staff drag him off.

In the distance you can hear Farleigh hysterically say oh fuck.

What is the meaning of this? Sir James shouts at his own son, red in the face angry. At Felix who shrugs off the staff and takes a calling breath, pushing his hair back once before facing his family only to say. Sorry you had to see that. Especially you mum, I know you hate ugly things and that got pretty ugly. I'll talk to Ollie about it so it won't happen again. Now, please get the doc here to take care of Oliver and once that's done would someone put him back in his room?

Everyone there stares at him in disbelief. All except the doctor who someone had already fetched earlier, they don't stop moving until they're beside Oliver and doing a check up to see what treatment he will need and if he's even alive. The rest are in a state of shock from what happened and Felix's unconcerned attitude.

In the end, when the family tries to confront him about what he just did Felix is unapologetic except for the fact he made a scene. When they try to send Oliver off, even just to the hospital, Felix says it doesn't matter if they do send Oliver anywhere, he knows where Oliver lives and they go to Uni together, Felix will just bring him back. So SIr James orders their personal Healthcare staff to take care of Oliver. Who is relatively alright. He passed out mostly do to the strangulation rather than the head wound at the end, it just shocked him and made him faint.

Felix is happy, the family and staff are disturbed. Oliver is just trying to recover and figure out how to keep Felix happy so this doesn't happen again. He gets it eventually and they live happily ever after because Oliver ends up really liking how much effort Felix went to, to get Oliver to stay. Really flattered and once Felix gets that Oliver actually wants to stay now and has a stark raving mad crush on Felix he feels more secure. Turns out he just didn't know how to deal with his homosexual feelings for his best friend.

Farleigh mentions stockholme syndrome at the table once and Oliver laughs and says maybe. Felix asks what that is and Farleigh is forced to explain it and looks like he regrets bringing it up. Felix laughs once he understands and makes the joke that his courting method seems to be a well tried and proved method. The rest except Oliver don't find it that funny but politely chuckle along.

So basically we're back to the original ending from the first post but took a longer route.

im like, what, 10 years late to the whole walking dead game thing but i was way too young back then to understand the game. i hope people still enjoy it, its a really good game (and sad) but im only up to season 3 right now (i only really liked s1 and s2) but im not finished so i cant really make decisions rn

i just want to talk about ben rn and evaluate him cause im rewatching it and now that hes my favourite i notice more things about him now. (i literally look at him everytime hes in frame even if its just showing the back of his head oml)

but anyway i see a lot of ben hate and sure i get it but i dont at the same time ben is so silly how can u hate him

- to start, when we first met ben in the woods, he’d already been through some stuff, like he saw his classmate off herself and turn into a walker, his camp got raided and he was left with 1 friend and his teacher (who both still die btw) so most of what he had left before the apocalypse was gone

- when lee is rationing out the food, if he gives ben food first, kenny comes and tells lee that there’s kids that need food too, and ben literally is like ‘sorry i didnt want any trouble’ like cmon, and he’s literally a kid too he deserves the food as much as anyone else

- on the train he is interested in the controls and being up there, so we can see that he generally enjoyed it. but once lee gets the engine going, kenny comes and ben immediately has to go babysit katjaa clem and duck (he is also visibly upset) AND THEN later on lee asks how ben was doing and he says ‘im watching the girls and not working on a mega cool train’ (let him on the train immediately 😠😠)

- ok, so maybe he did sneak supplies to the bandits and i think this is just me being biased but i feel like him giving the supplies held off the bandits a little. i mean think about it, they moved on from the st john’s farm and started taking from the motel, right? im not sure how the bandits asked ben (if they made it clear then i forgot) but if he refused wouldnt the bandits come attack even earlier? i mean they needed the supplies right, and if ben didnt give them anything to begin with they would have raided the motel anyway. i mean they knew where they were even before the st john incident. idk its just a thought

- i think it was cool how ben managed to confess to lee that he was the one who slipped the bandits supplies. like you can tell ben is a good guy cause the guilt was almost literally eating him from the inside. and even though ben isnt one of the bravest people, he still confessed knowing that lee’s reaction wouldnt be pretty. (also his stance when leaning on the train railing was so silly to me)

- after they meet christa and omid, ben tells lee that his biggest fear was to be eaten by the walkers. i mean he literally said that if he got bitten he would off himself 😢😢

- also ben was always referred to as a child but he was never treated like one, everyone excpected him to be brave and strong but in reality he was just some scrawny highschool student who was scared and couldnt live up to his impossible standards. man, i really just wanna give ben a big hug

- if you tell ben to “kill anything that gets in” he responds with “you know you’re talking to me, right?” poor ben

- even though his biggest fear is getting eaten by walkers, you still have the option to leave him behind, and let him go at the bell tower. i mean how could u do this to him hes already gone through enough

- lastly, the part where ben tells off kenny is literally iconic, that scene singlehandedly made ben one of my favourite characters of all time, i was like everyone else, i didnt care about ben because i thought he was a bad guy since i never really payed attention to him. but i swear when he was telling kenny off it felt like i was being told off too. i mean his point was valid too, kenny had his family to say goodbye to, and ben (and literally everyone else) never got to see their family, (or they saw them as walkers, lee and clem,, :( )

- i know the last point was meant to be the last one but cmon its ben i could type this for ages longer but yeah. he had the literal best character development in the game. at first he was some stupid kid who was always messing up and before he died he was an amazing character who deserved literally everything. omg i cried so hard when he died cause when he fell i was like, oh i think its ok the fall wasnt too far and he said he only hurt his leg, but bro once we saw what really happened my heart sank bro it was so sad i really hoped nothing bad happened to him ☹️☹️ but i think kenny did the right thing cause like we said, his worst fear was the walkers getting to him. gosh i feel like i watched his death for the first time ages ago and i still cant stop thinking about him man

basically, he gets fed up with not having any sort of safe space and not having many people he can be himself around, especially since his own HOME was never the place for that no matter how much he wished it was and he gets too tired of his family not respecting his privacy and his friends ruining every moment he gets to himself

and he decides that no matter WHAT gets in his way, hes going to MAKE a safe(-ish, i mean he still cant just be psychic around people for fun but he can prob be a little more lenient and express himself) space for himself

Into the unknown (frozen 2) - original and cristina vees cover make me think so hard about marinette its crazy. her initially refusing to be ladybug, insistent that she couldnt do it but always coming back because she desperately wants to test those waters, see what shes meant to do and how it could change her.

Ladybug

Ribs (lorde) - how easily overwhelmed marinette gets and how her anxiety and stress almost force her to overthink every aspect of her life. I can see her getting this extreme tunnel vision where she cant see all the progress shes made, all the victories shes already had, and instead can only focus on how shes not doing enough, and its not fast enough, and its not good enough. it just really reminds me of how badly she wants to prove herself to be this strong and trustworthy hero, but she feels like shes losing herself as she grows and isolates herself more and more in the role of guardian and ladybug.

Adrien

Mamas boy (dominic fike) - he literally IS the mamas boy. what more can i say. also alludes to him being a sentimonster with the lines "when i was born, you were produced", "i wish i was a toy", "youre made from plastic im just blood".

Chat Noir

First love/late spring (mitski) - ok hear me out. how chat compensates for his family life with devoting himself to ladybug. "one word from you and i would jump off of this ledge im on" is exactly how he operates with her, being ready to throw himself in front of her, literally die for her if she ever said so. and she never does! she gets upset with him for doing it over and over! i just think this song depicts really well how chat noirs goal was always "do whatever I can to help ladybug, no matter what i may lose" while she had to watch him leave his life in her hands like it was nothing.

Also getting to kinda hear his side of ladybug saying shes already in love with someone, how he respects that but still is a bit of a flirt, and hides how much it hurts him. also i love hobo johnson. I do adore (mindy gledhill) - marinette being head over heels for adrien and being her normal clumsy self. Falling over, rambling, making a huge fool of herself while adrien watches, completely oblivious to her crush. this song just really reminds me of how much marinette struggles with keeping herself calm around adrien, how shes always messing up words and doing the wrong thing, but he never freaks out at her and he never shames her for it. Silly girl (chloe moriondo) - listen to this song rn! its so perfectly adrinette! its crazy! how marinette romanticizes adrien and kind of puts him on a pedestal at the beginning which leads to her ignoring how he doesnt fit into that idea shes molded of him. Her having to deal with the pain of being in silent love with him while he seems so far away, and turning that back around to use against herself. i just think it explain really well how marinette saw him in this perfect, unattainable bubble before they got closer and she realized he was nothing like his public image of perfection [fav lyrics: "im just a silly girl in a stupid dumb old world and he is perfect cause hes supposed to be", "he is perfect, unlike me, and how could i ever think that it was meant to be? and how could i ever think that anything was made for me?", "I made him perfect, cause i wanted him to be"]

If i could tell her (dear evan hansen) - i feel like this is a classic marichat song. like its been a marichat song for a hot minute but its still so them. chat comforting marinette about feeling like adrien doesnt notice her! and listing off things adrien 'told him about' and slowly realizing he does actually pay attention to all those small intimate things marinette does! he feels such a strong need to make sure marinette understands how important she is to adrien, and realizing how deep the disconnect between them two is [fav lyrics: "If i could tell her how shes everything to me but we're a million worlds apart and i dont know how i would even start", "And what do you do when the distance is too wide?"]

Drive (halsey) - i love this song for the idea of marinette and chat suppressing their feeling for each other because theyre 'supposed' to be in love with adrien and lb. for me it kind of paints a mental image of hangouts and games and memories between mari and chat that slowly become these intense, almost upsetting silences and tension. Just them desperately ignoring how deep their feelings for each other truly go and insisting everything remain surface level [ fav lyrics: "All we do is think about the feelings that we hide, all we do is sit in silence waiting for a sign", "Your laugh echoes down the hallway, carves into my empty chest, spreads over the emptiness. its bliss", "Overanalyze again, would it really kill you if we kissed?",]

Comfort crowd (conan gray) - this song just really makes me think of chat being at a really low point and trying to hide it from marinette so he doesnt burden her with his emotions and baggage, and her just seeing right through it. Like hes smiling and trying to wave it off and she just knows hes not okay, and he just breaks. Ultimately it makes me think of chat turning to marinette for such deep and intimate comfort that purely comes from him being with her. just knowing hes safe to hold onto her and cry and shell be that company for him. YOUTH (troye sivan) - ladybug and adrien running away together. fuck it. literally think about it. them just being in love and together and adrien finally getting out of that HOUSE and getting to be with his LADY and be happy. How deeply devoted to each other they would be, and although naive, they would be so sincere and literally ride or die for each other.

Roman holiday (halsey) - i love the idea of ladrien having those small, important firsts together. putting aside not being able to be completely honest with each other, adriens entire family dynamic, everything, and just saying screw it and dating and doing couple things! theyre both too scared of what might happen if they slow down and face reality, so they ignore everything outside of themselves. they both have that ache of knowing its not real, its not how they can actually live, but for now they get to be happy. and in love. and with each other. and theyll deal with all the heartbreak later [fav lyrics: "didnt know where we were running to but dont look back", "and we know that were headstrong, and our hearts gone, and the timings never right"]

Therefore i am (billie eilish) - cold, angry akumanette FOR THE WIN OGH her just being such a silent but deadly akuma, her voice devoid of all the love and kindness it used to have when she was with adrien/chat, and him having to fight her while she shows no mercy. and yeah i hear you thinking what, misogyny ?! toxic masculinity ?! thats not a big part of ougis arc and yeah it isnt and also other gender stuff BUT. the spirit is still there!! and i have to say it in that way first to do anthy's part justice

bc they Are both people who exist solely for others sake. their ability to define their own existences have been taken away from them. they have no agency! anthy obviously but also ougi has never had agency. ougi was created by araragi to do certain things he couldn't do himself, and this was literally the sole purpose of their existence. if ur in that situation what are you gonna do? not do it? and probably like, cease to exist bc the universe's internal coding is a total asshole? you don't have a choice, you just gotta accept the burden.

they're very silly and goofy and sinister and smiley about it of course but like. i'll say it now a lot of those smiles are not happy. i mean you look at the light novels oshino "ppl are so dumb i have to laugh at them but im crying when im laughing" ougi (edgelord ougi confirmed? and anthy does the same thing! all this fucked up shit happens around her and To her and she just watches it all with the same smile like nothing's wrong. the parallels are insane you guys you cant make this shit up. anthy smiling like nothing is wrong during the duels before slowly realizing she doesn't want to be separated from utena is the same as ougi smiling while about to be erased forever even though she doesnt want to die. its parallels!!!!!! even where ougi's situation gets a little muddied with her being Literally araragi (even though she is still the part of him that he ejected and pushed all this work onto and still just exists for him at first so i wouldnt say this is a point against my analysis here), it still very much applies. and that part of 'being him' can loop back around and extend anthy if you want it to. she does whatever her fiancee wants her to, is molded to and reflects them. a reflection-- is that not, in a very big sense, what ougi is for araragi? you could even say that for anthy, the fiancee of the rose bride's attempted domination of her is a way to dominate the femininity within them, to quell and control it. (if this doesnt make sense my excuse is that i havent finished watching yet. but i think it does make sense, and a lot of it, actually)

theyve both got their Roles to play, and play them they do. anthy, the rose bride, and ougi, the culprit, the bad guy. i think about that 'bad guy' framing a lot too btw. when ougi is talking about her unfazed appearance when faced with Forever Death Via Black Hole, shes like 'don't you hate it when in mystery novels the bad guy is so calm in the face of their comeuppance? yeah that sucks so just letting you know im terrified 👍. gotta wonder what happens when your matter gets erased completely yk. like whats that gotta be like lol.' theyve also both got those cute little interests come to think of it. anthy loves like animals and stuff and ougi loves their mysteries. are these two the Same Character (joking) (but really they should hang out)

theres a line in one of the short stories that summarizes it really well, describing ougi as 'a puppet who had come to life.' and yeah, basically. it's implied to be after the ougi dark resolution so there i have even more ✨textual evidence✨ but like fr. its an incredibly apt description for ougi. if yotsugi is a doll, then ougi is a puppet, who has gained agency (and thats the thing, rgu and monogatari are giving these agency-robbed characters agency, thats what ougi dark did, and im like p sure thats what rgu is going to do i havent finished it lol but i did get sorta spoiled on the ending so i think its gonna. in monogatari... its more rocky i feel. its not cut and dry, its not like whoops you have agency forever completely now. its like you Kinda have it. you Maybe Mostly have it. it's complicated i'm writing about it)... i wonder when yotsugi will get her agency, but part of me wonders if nisioisins plan is that she wont. because she's a doll, she's too stuck, she's fixed to what others need her for, she can't work by herself. she hasn't "come to life" yet like ougi has (being a corpse might do that to you)

Cant stop thinking about your older feisaru art. I was wondering if you have a hc of what they're upto at that age. Like hobbies, career, or the people they (still) hang out with?

ALRIGHT LET ME JUST SAY- talking about them on main like this is a little hard 4 me. The whole "if it mattered less, maybe I could talk more about it" bit. I'm still gonna try to not make it super vague? While also not being as overly elaborate as I sometimes get in private chats

Fei still loves soccer a lot. Overall he enjoys powering himself out physically when he gets the chance to. Wheter that can be considered a hobby, I dunno, but he enjoys painting nails a lot, especially if he gets to use a lot of colors and to draw silly little animals on them. He also likes cooking. He taught himself how to very early after CS-finish.

Whereas Saru really enjoys reading. He's been doing that even back when he was Feida's emperor, to escape reality a bit. Every so often, Fei comes up to him and asks what he's reading. If Saru wants to infodump about it, Fei gladly lets him. Honestly, it's not a seldom occurence that they just read together. It often starts with Fei asking Saru to read out loud for him because he really enjoys his voice, while he cuddles into Saru a bit. Then after a while Saru passes him the book. Sometimes they also read their own individual novels while just sitting together. Saru also still does soccer sometimes, but for him it's more like a bonding activity with Fei? He does it mainly because Fei likes it so much and he likes when Fei is happy. He'd still enjoy leading a soccer team but other than that, the physical aftermath of the vaccine was pretty hard on him, leading to him not being able to exhaust himself too much physically (he'd still throw hands if necessary tho). Well, he was never too much into sports anyway. Despite that he still loves climbing on trees. And once again I don't know if that counts as a full on hobby but at some point, because he has so much time on hand, he started attempting to scribble Fei in notebooks. I don't think he'd tell Fei though, he finds it embarrassing.

So now to the more complicated bits! Most of these are still Thoughts In Progress™️

I try not to think too hard about the whole job thing because- I'm still not that experienced with jobs and because I can't see either of them working traditionally. Saru still hasn't forgotten about what El Dorado and the system has done to them. He wouldn't want to work in it. He doesn't want to work in a system created and controlled by people who have damaged him beyond repair. He doesn't want to pretend all's well, he doesn't just want to act like nothing ever happened. And Fei? In theory, he's the one more likely to do it, just because his morality doesn't get in the way, but I can't really imagine him feeling good about working at all. It would really drain him. So the possibility I'm tending to most right now is that they're getting the 200 years into the future equivalent of Hartz IV (as much as Saru hates existing in the state they unfortunately can't just cease doing that and so taking the state's money is still the better option) (I barely know anything about what this whole thing is like so take this with a grain of salt) and that Asurei sometimes helps them out financially because he has more than enough money for himself. They don't have a lot but it suffices to live pretty okay as long as they keep in mind they have a limited amount of money at their disposal. But like I said, my thoughts might change in the future, when I know more myself. I once have entertained the thought of making Fei a mental health professional but that's in the scraps right now because. I know someone pretty similar to him who worked as that and I sure as hell do know it would exhaust him in the long run. He wouldn't be able to handle so many people professionally at once without starting to feel worse himself. He likes psychology but the reason he likes it is that he likes helping Saru. Using psychology on people whom he meets in an office on a professional basis just ain't it

Concerning hanging out, I and a friend have an AU (Trio AU) where Fei reaches out to Zanark so the 3 of them can play soccer together when they're 17-18-ish and he third-wheels for them. Later on he gets a gf, my friend's OC. The AU is more for giggles and laughs than anything and Zanark and Saru go on each other's nerves impossibly. A lot of the time it's "calm down, breathe in, breathe out, you're better than this, there's no reason to get seriously mad at this motherfucker, and most importantly you're doing this for Fei" for Saru. They still see Meia and Giris sometimes, albeit they live a little farther away. And they probably encounter Protocol Omega members sometimes, because they live in the same city as them (thinking about them encountering Alpha and Gamma on a date someday is fun... @amalg4me)

Either way I have some drawings where they're supposed to be young adults (Trio AU, including the banana sweater, all the CS x SPOP drawings... maybe even more. Most of the fluffier drawings are set at least 2 years after Chrono Stone) but I've only recently started figuring out how to get better at varying ages and I'm still working on it

I absolutely enjoyed reading your analysis and take on why people tend to put most of the blame on Tim rather than taking into account that other characters are just as culpable. You really help me understand why Jason stans might resent Tim for victim-blaming Jason more than the other characters (although it is still them showing their double-standard thought process at the end of the day). In truth, no one is innocent in the situation. Everyone is culpable to some degree for blaming a child for his own demise, and its frankly disgusting.

its one of those things thats really interesting both in universe and from a meta perspective bc. blaming jason for his own death when sheila sold him out to the joker who then murdered them both, which dc wrote/illustrated/published, which they decided to do because of the results a fricking READER POLL... its so silly lmao. and by making it jasons fault the blame doesnt rest with batman, for having a robin in the first place, or dc, for writing and publishing the story. absolutely fascinating tapestry of blame and fault here on all levels

i was thinking some more about it though and i do think its got some to do with tims personality and demeanor as well. hes a perfectionist and a control freak and there are times when he expresses that if someone cant hack it to tims (arbitrary) standards they shouldn't be doing it at all, that kind of thing. and this is something bruce and dick both do as well, bruce is pretty famous for it even, but they're also both like... i mean we already talked about bruce in the last ask but on top of that hes like. scary competent and intimidating. like. hes batman! and with dick, dick is the first robin, hes *the* nightwing, dick was canonically this keystone figure for the new earth dcu hero community... hes a big fucking deal yknow. in-universe people listen to them, and for good reason, and out of universe a lot of the time reading it its like. Well they'd know! and by contrast tim does not have that kind of authority he just acts like be does... like hes made a solid name for himself by the time the reboot hits but absolutely not on dick or bruces level. so when Tim says something about like you shouldn't be doing this you're going to get yourself killed its like. who is this squeaky little toddler and why is he telling me what to do. like its like "who died and made you robin" except the answer to that is uh. Jason todd.

anyway yeah i like to rotate this as an aspect of characterization for everyone involved bc in like. the version that lives in my head the narrative doesnt present them as Right so it becomes *about* the tragedy, *about* grief and the way sometimes a story gets warped in retelling, about coping by putting sense in something senseless... but. it gets a lot less fun when youre reading something and the story itself is like "Yes this 14 or 15 year old only died bc he broke the rules he got what was coming to him & he deserved it :)" loud booing i dont care for that at all.

dick is also interesting bc hes one of the only characters i can think of other than leslie barbara who blames bruce at any point for jasons death, which i neglected to mention in my other ask. (its kind of a big topic and in my defense you were just askinf about bruce Alfred and tim... sorry dickie ily) like dick took more work to convince that a new robin was necessary than bruce did and dick like... dick was so angry and heartsick and guilty over jasons death and all those feelings just went *everywhere* including at himself. so its absolutely a lot more palatable coming from dick and-- i mean i mentioned demeanor earlier. tim tends to be either very blunt or very sharp and he is NOT known for phrasing things diplomatically, like, at all. dick might be thinking about the mistakes he imagines Jason making on the road to his death but what he'll say out loud is usually smth like "he wasn't ready," and its also a lot more palatable coming from dick bc you *know* hes also thinking he himself Should Have trained jason more himself or done this or that other thing.

Saeyoung understands. You might think that he wouldn't understand because he was somebody who didn't have a choice when it came to the things he was eating. In some ways, he still doesn't have much of a choice. He has to go with the flow with whatever is put into his hands. But that doesn't mean that he doesn't understand the feeling of control when it comes to your food.

Sometimes, a texture is really bad or a taste just doesn't do it for you. That's all you have to say and everybody should take you seriously. If you don't want something, then you shouldn't be forced into doing it. There are ways around getting the nutrition you need if you can't handle eating something.

You don't need to be tricked or manipulated into eating something that doesn't work for you. There are ways to make it work and people in your life should work with you to make that happen. Anything small can make the difference. For Saeyoung, all he wants is to make sure that you are able to enjoy yourself. If there is anything he can do to make it easier, he's going to make it happen.

He's more perceptive than you think. It doesn't matter if you act like you need to accept something, he'll know right off the bat that you're lying to him. It's the way that you're holding yourself or the way that you're saying that it's okay when it's not okay. He would call you out on it even in the midst of all of his struggle with wanting to be around you. If he can make anything easier for you, he always will.

Even if he's trying to push you away. So, it would only happen once or twice where you would try to lie to him about this stuff. That's all it takes for him to realize that you're lying through your teeth to him about what you're comfortable with. He might scold you or nag you about it for avoiding the truth, but it's not like he's going to be angry with you. He knows that there are things that you can't control.

It would be wrong for him to be upset about this sort of stuff. He has food that makes him feel good about himself and if he could choose to have that all the time, he would. It's hard to step out of that comfort zone and bubble of control. But, you wouldn't force him to do anything that he didn't want to do.

So, why would he try to convince you to do something that you don't want to do? When you think about it, it's kind of silly when you put it that way.

Just be honest with him about your limitations and the way that you eat. It doesn't need to be complicated and you don't need to feel insecure about it. He understands. He empathizes. He wants to do what he can. He's going to do what he can. Don't be surprised when he figures out what your safe foods are before you even tell him. It doesn't take much for him to figure it out.

- his solution to all stress is just to tickle until the sadness goes away

- it always works on poor, overworked drake

- (drake tends to neglect his wellness for the sake of crime fighting and sometimes needs lp to make him go to bed, or eat, or drink water) (he will grumble a little bit after, but he knows he needs it)

- drakepad is so physically/emotionally comfortable with each other that tickling is almost an unspoken thing between them

- they can hold an entire conversation using only eye contact and wiggling air fingers (gosalyn will hear them arguing behind her, it'll go quiet for a few moments, and then drake will shout "OK OK FINE ILL GO TAKE A NAP"

- probably ler-leaning switch

- drake I'd say is a chaotic 50/50 switch

- depending on who he's with, he can either be a tickling neir-do-well, or a clumsy, nervous, ticklish puppy

- when tickling launchpad, he doesn't do the sentient hands thing. he mostly sticks to teasing about how a big guy like him is so "vewy vewy tickwish~" and it works like a fucking charm

- teases lp uses AGAINST drake would be calling himself the tickle monster, and actually encouraging his lee to come out on top; "come on, darkwing duck, you can take this! you're almost free, I believe in you!" but try escaping a 6-foot tickle monster and see how successful you are with that. drake ultimately crumples into launchpad's lap at his ticklish mercy

- drake's most ticklish spot is his belly, making him fit perfectly in launchpad's lap for tickles

- lp is a very gentle tickler

- and also quite ticklish himself

- launchpad LOVES kids, ESPECIALLY his own kid, so gosalyn finds herself the target of her dorky dad's tickle attacks. he teases her with silly noises like "tikikikikikikiki" and "brbrbrbrbrbrb". which she finds SO embarrassing lol

- gosalyn also realizes that her dad can overwork himself, so she takes it upon herself to lecture him into relaxing. when that doesn't work, her next plan is to tickle him to exhaustion. drake is no fool, he can see the glint in her eyes from a mile away, but she's young, and agile, and determined, and he's clumsy, awkward, and old, so the chase isn't long

- the happiest days in the McQuack house are when all three of them are engaged in a full out tickle war that has them running around the lair screaming and laughing
