I love Raph and haven’t said that enough so to be more specific I love that Raph is a soft boy who loves bear plushies, a gross boy who eats an assortment of things that are definitely better left alone, a smart boy who is more than capable of taking down villains through planning and fortitude alike, a strong boy who is dedicated to training his muscles and fighting prowess, a teenage boy who loves his brothers but is more than happy to tease and roughhouse with them, an angry boy who sometimes lets his anger take a hold of him to cover the fear, a gentle boy who is generous with hugs and affirmations to those he loves, a capable boy who takes on more than should ever be expected of a teenager, a good boy who just wants to be a hero and slowly comes to realize the cost of that duty, a good boy who has no reservations about putting himself in the way of harm coming to his family, a good boy who’s a great brother and son and person and deserves only the best the world has to offer.

so one of the reasons jamie is so into sightseeing is because it reminds him of the good trip he took with his mom... which they partially took in order to replace the memories of his traumatic trip with his dad. I’m gonna lose it.

Finally been doing a proper playthrough of Skyrim lately-
I found this guy pretty early, and he’s quickly become one of my favorite followers since. He’s just a nice grandpa. (Who may or may not have done some questionable things in the name of a daedric deity in the past.) So you just know I’ve got some doodles of the dude.

dave who learned imitation as a survival method....... dave getting into turntables and music mixing bc thats the one thing he can do with his bro without getting stressed out, getting into swords and ‘cool guy’ things bc when he acts like his bro and impresses him he gets hurt less, learning to act dry and emotionally disconnected from john bc john is well liked among his friends (and he likes john, too), learning to psychoanalyze by imitating rose because rose will back off if he manages to pick at one of HER sore spots for once....... dave realizing he doesnt want to be that person anymore on the meteor but not having any other method of becoming well-liked. dave imitating romcom protagonists to get karkat’s attention, becoming more and more grumpy and animated and dramatic bc of all the time he’s spent around karkat, dave’s dry humor getting more and more developed as he spends more time with rose and kanaya. dave who has a crisis (at least in another timeline) because at age sixteen he’s standing in his childhood bedroom and surrounded by interests he hasn’t pursued in years and sobbing because he doesn’t know who he is without trying to make someone like him. he doesn’t know which interests, if any, were ones he would have had if he’d grown up with a guardian that didn’t hate him, if the world hadn’t ended and if he wasn’t one of the sole survivors dedicating his childhood to creating a new universe, if he’d just been a normal kid.
dave, age sixteen, who has no idea who he is or what he wants from life.

obsessed with your latest steddie au! steve’s relationship with his parents is so emotionally abusive and manipulative and my heart is breaking that nobody seems to recognise that
Thank you!!
I really wanted to focus on how Steve's parents are abusive in a way that is a lot harder to clock.
They're not out there screaming and kicking him out of the house. These people want you to like them, and they lie like they breath.
These are the adults who downplay serious issues, who make you doubt yourself, who smooth things over or even apologize on your behalf as a way to control and isolate you.
If everyone thinks you're terrible, and your amazing, doting, angelic parents are once again swooping in to save you, then your escape routes close up rapidly--which is of course, the whole point. They want their victims to rely on them and them alone.
For a lot of the Party, that's just not an evil they've encountered yet.
Throw in the fact that Steve does in fact, have a head injury, and things get muddy FAST.
It makes for delicious, angst-ridden scenarios and I am delighted everyone's happy to come along for the ride.

So do you guys actually think that Jason's entire story, relationship to the others, and philosophy amounts to him being a rebellious teen who wants his dad's attention? Like are you 100% serious? I thought you were joking about that but too many of you are saying it with your whole chest.
And what the fuck is this "Bruce antagonizing Jason is fanon!" Shit I've been seeing? You guys are aware that a parent can love their kid and still be a shit parent right? I know you guys don't want to fathom the thought that maybe your blorbo might also occasionally have to face responsibility for consistently endangering children but let's not start being delusional now.
Bruce does love his kids, that doesn't mean that he hasn't hurt them. And I'd also argue that for the most part he feels in the right for it, and he's said multiple times that he believes it's for their own good, so you can't even argue that he's sorry about it. It's okay for you guys to admit that your PERSONAL INTERPRETATION of the character wouldn't do that but don't sit here and pretend that it's not a facet of the source.

kinda agry at the last dbd episode, not gonna lie. even if a character is actually alive in some way after going through the "gratuitously killing the sweetheart traumatized character who was finally starting to get the thing they've wanted for years, right when they were so close to making it out alive and getting some happiness and closure" trope IT DOESN'T MAKE ME NOT HATE IT!!!

to cleanse myself a little from the SHEER RAGE, i'm going to talk about one of things i found hilarious from the novel
Lu Yizhan was really just fucking with everyone the whole time
he knew everything
i'm not even going to talk about the times he waited exactly seven seconds to "forget" about the game, or him pretending to be all confused and asking if Bai Liu is selling his body, and then if he works in a circus (a goddamn circus, how he kept a straight face i have no idea, the man deserves an oscar), but
the rose factory arc. with tang erda. telling him to his face "gosh, officer, i'm so sorry, i just took my eyes away from him for one second, it's all my fault, BUT i promise he's not evil AND he's my friend so can he get a lesser sentence please <3?"
bitch
bitch, you were there. for all the worldlines Tang Erda went through, and more
you know exactly what is going through this man's mind
you know who he sees when he looks at Bai Liu
was it fun to tell him it was your little meow meow instead???????

I said once and I'll say it again, I don't really think late season merlin is a villain, but I do think season 1 and pre canon merlin would think his future self is a villain
agreed, anon, s1 merlin would be horrified at the decision and choices he made by s4-5
but yeah merlin isn’t a “villain” by s5. he falls into more of a gray area in my opinion. like, he is still a hero to me but just with a narrower view on his priorities and 10 years of dealing with your classic episodic enemies who want to kill Arthur
