I said once and I'll say it again, I don't really think late season merlin is a villain, but I do think season 1 and pre canon merlin would think his future self is a villain
agreed, anon, s1 merlin would be horrified at the decision and choices he made by s4-5
but yeah merlin isn’t a “villain” by s5. he falls into more of a gray area in my opinion. like, he is still a hero to me but just with a narrower view on his priorities and 10 years of dealing with your classic episodic enemies who want to kill Arthur

Hurt.
Merry Christmas Pham! Here is some much needed Sam and Tucker friendship bonding! This is kind of meant to set the tone before Doctor’s Disorders and explain why Sam knows Tucker doesn’t like doctors or hospitals and Danny doesn’t. Hope you enjoy!
Standard disclaimers. Also posted on my AO3 and FFN accounts. Rated T for swearing.
--
“SAM!” Danny and Tucker cried, Tucker from across the street and Danny approximately 75 feet in the air.
“Motherfucker,” Sam muttered to herself and gently poked at her right ankle. It was already swelling up and was probably turning red underneath her tights. She rolled her ankle around a bit. It wasn’t broken, but it definitely hurt. “I’m fine!” she called back to her friends, shooting the ghost that had just attacked her, the same one Danny was battling in the sky, with her wrist ray to prove her point.
Tucker ran over to her, trying to assess the situation. “Are you okay?” He held a hand out to help her from the ground. She grabbed it and hissed when she stood fully, quickly grabbing onto Tucker’s shoulder and letting her right foot hang above the ground.
“Shit..the ONE TIME I wear sneakers instead of my boots…” Danny and Tucker had insisted that if she wore sneakers to fight instead of her clunky boots, her fighting would be more efficient. Why had she listened to them again? She gets almost as many ghosts as Danny and her boots at least provided ankle support...
Tucker grinned, “It seemed like a good idea at the time. But seriously, are you okay?”
“Ugh, I don’t know. I didn’t break anything, but I can’t walk, let alone stand.” She glanced up at Danny, who was shooting an ectoblast at his opponent. “I think you should take me to the hospital to get-”
“Nope.”
“Tucker, I’m serious.”
“So am I! You’re fine! You can just lean on me or have Danny fly you home when he’s done. No big deal. No doctor, no hospital.” He shook his head frantically and wrapped Sam’s arm around his shoulder, her arm wrapping around his torso shortly thereafter. She glanced down at her swollen ankle.
“Tucker, this hurts really bad. And you know I’m not one to complain.”
Tucker shot her a look. “What about the time you complained about dissecting real frogs in biology? Or the time you complained about those really cool monster trucks? Or when you complained about beauty pageants and then joined in anyway? Or any of the times you complained about Paulina? Oh! And what about that one time wh-”
“Alright, alright, I get it. Well, I’m not one to complain about pain, anyway. But seriously, can you help me get to the hospital?”
“Do I have to?” Tucker groaned.
“Yes! What’s the big deal?” Tucker muttered something under his breath that she couldn’t quite make out. “What?”
“I don’t like hospitals.”
“Yeah, and I don’t like the possibility of never walking again. Tucker, please.”
He sighed. Sam didn’t say 'please’ very often. “Alright, alright. I’m doing this because you’re my best friend and I love you, okay? But I’m leaving right after I drop you off.” Sam rolled her eyes but complied. They both glanced back up at Danny, who was still mid-battle but holding his own. “He can catch up with us later.”
Tucker had gotten Sam into the emergency room, where she sat filling out some paperwork. He turned around to book it out of there when Sam stopped him by grabbing his wrist. “Tuck, can you please stay?” Her face was full of conflicting emotions. She hated asking for help, yet here she was sacrificing her pride and reputation of being an independent woman because she was scared.
He glanced around the room and made a face before his eyes settled on her pleading lavender ones. He had never seen her so vulnerable before. He sighed and sat down next to her. “Thanks,” there was a moment of silence before she continued, “so while we wait, how about you tell me why you don’t like hospitals.” She gently grabbed his hand closest to hers, which was gripping the arms of his chair tightly. He groaned internally; he very well knew that she would pester him until he gave her a straight answer. You could never bullshit Sam. Plus, she had already shown vulnerability to him today. He could at least return the favor.
“Well…I guess it started when I was 6. I had gotten hurt on the playground, so my mom took me to the hospital. A woodchip kinda stabbed me in the hand when some kid pushed me over. They had to remove it for me, and then they stapled the wound shut.”
“Ah, that’s why you have that scar on your hand.” Sam nodded towards it. He flipped his hand over where the scar in the middle of his palm was clearly visible.
“Yeah, it was terrible. Who uses staples on a kid? Anyway, they kept stabbing me with needles to take all these tests and stuff. I don’t like needles.” He visibly shuddered. “Then when I was 9, I had to go to a hospital again when my grandpa was sick. I didn’t really understand what was going on, but my dad had left me in the room with him while he called my mom, and I was all alone and long story short he just died right in front of me. That was pretty traumatizing.”
“I’m so sorry.” She said genuinely. Perhaps it was because she was so close to her grandmother that the statement hit her hard. She squeezed his hand.
“Another time back in middle school, I went to the nurse’s office because I scraped my knee in gym class and needed a bandaid, and while I was waiting for her to grab one, Gabriel Morris puked all over my shoes.” Tucker’s face scrunched up in disgust as he recalled the bad memory. “And then it’s just everything in general. There’s the weird smell and everything is white and they just stab you with needles and there’s people in the building dying right now and it’s all so gross and terrifying. I can’t even look at a hospital when I pass by one. I avoid doctors at all costs.”
Sam squeezed his hand again. “Well, I really appreciate you being here for me right now. I know it’s going to take awhile, and I need company or I’ll go insane.” She smiled at him. She had always been close with Tucker, and though they had conflicting interests on occasion, they had their handful of moments like these.
Tucker returned a small smile and breathed out a small laugh. “Look, I’m not even the one who is in pain and you’re comforting me.”
Sam laughed, “Hey, we all have our shit, you know.” She glanced at his phone on his lap when it lit up, signaling a text from Danny.
Tucker unlocked his phone and read the message before shoving it in his pocket. “Danny’s putting the ghost back into the Ghost Zone right now and then he’s going to swing by Frostbite to ask a few questions. He’s going to be a while.” Sam nodded in response.
“No problem, I have the mighty fine Tucker to help me through this crisis.”
“It’s Too Fine, actually.” He frowned.
“My mistake.” She smiled, turning her gaze from him as the nurse called her name. Tucker pushed her in a wheelchair to a small room with all sorts of wires and things that could poke somebody. He gulped. Sam could sense his wariness, and looked to the young, attractive nurse, who was questioning Sam about what happened. “Oh, I took kind of a hard fall. This here is my best friend Tucker, he’s been getting me through all this. He’s super brave and practically carried me over here. He’s my support system today.”
Tucker blushed at the praise and stared down at his shoes. The nurse gave him a reassuring smile and held her hand out for him to shake. “I’m Claire, I’ll be taking care of your friend today. Did you see what happened?”
He looked up at the blonde, whose smile widened when his eyes met hers. He shook her hand. “U-uh, yeah…” Tucker paused as he formulated a response. “We were just walking home from school and this ghost just blasted her out of nowhere, it was pretty freaky. Sam here kinda tripped backwards and fell in a weird way. I am always telling her she should wear boots or something with more ankle support, clumsy little thing.”
Sam tilted her head back and glared up at him. Tucker just shrugged and grinned, letting her know he was just teasing. Sam was just glad his attention seemed to be diverted from the room he was currently in.
“Oh, you’re very brave for getting her here in the middle of a ghost attack. Let’s take a look at your ankle.” Sam cringed as the nurse took her shoe off and started touching her ankle. “Yes, this definitely needs some attention. I’ll get the doctor to see you shortly and will take you up for x-rays in a few minutes if need be. In the meantime, how about you take those tights off so we can get a better look. I’ll be back in a few.” The nurse softly closed the door behind her as Sam stood on one foot and started pulling her purple tights off.
“Woah! Hey! I’m still here!” Tucker yelled, covering his eyes with his hands.
Sam laughed, “Tucker, chill. I’m not naked or anything.” She wrapped her arm around him for support as she put her weight on him and tugged her tights off her good ankle. She sat on the hospital bed and looked at Tucker, who was peeking through his fingers. “I do need your help though. Help me get these off, but be gentle.” Sam pointed to her tights remaining on her other leg. Tucker nodded and carefully pulled her tights completely off.
“You know, I always dreamt of undressing a girl, but you’re not exactly who I had in mind. No offense.” Tucker’s remark earned a chuckle from Sam.
“None taken.” She sat back on the hospital bed and watched him glance around the room nervously. “You don’t have to worry, you know. I’m the patient, not you. And I don’t plan on dying any time soon.”
“Are you nauseous?” Tucker raised an eyebrow and sat in the wheelchair.
“Tucker, if I was going to hurl all over you, I would at least have the common decency to tell you first.” She sighed when her comment didn’t make him any less anxious. “Thanks for staying with me for this. If my parents were in town, they would be driving me and the doctors insane. You’re a great friend. I know it isn’t said enough.”
Tucker looked at her bashfully, unsure of how to respond. “I uh...thanks? Or you’re welcome?”
Sam chuckled, “I’m not sure what the appropriate response is either. Hey, pull up the movie trailer for Trinity of Doom again! The sound is way better on your phone.” She smiled when she saw how proud he was of his technology as he pulled it up.
Several minutes and a debate over which monster is scarier later, there was a brief knock on the door before the doctor walked in. “So, Samantha-” he started.
“Sam.” Tucker and Sam corrected him at the same time.
“Let me check out your injury.” The doctor set his clipboard down on the counter and bent down to inspect Sam’s ankle. She winced when he started moving it and held Tucker, who looked ready to pounce on the doctor, back as he stood next to her protectively.
The doctor paused and pursed his lips at the other miscellaneous scrapes and bruises that coated her legs, some looking more healed and some looking fresh. “Samantha, are you sure this has only been a one time occurance? We can talk in private if your boyfriend wants to wait outside.”
Sam looked at him confused, ignoring his use of her full name. “I don’t understand.”
“You seem to have more injuries than just a sprained ankle, and they appear to have occurred over different periods of time. Domestic violence is unfortunately pretty common, even amongst teena-”
“Excuse me?!” Sam interrupted.
“We can talk in private if that makes you more comforta-”
“First of all, Tucker is not my boyfriend. Second, minor bruises and cuts hardly count as injuries. Third, what makes you think he would be abusive towards me when he has shown absolutely ZERO signs of being my boyfriend, let alone an abuser?”
“Well, I mean, he’s, you know, you never know and typically perpetrators are-”
“Black?” Tucker spat angrily.
“That’s not exactly what I was...I’m just saying that-” The doctor stumbled over his words, clearly embarrassed and trying to avoid a lawsuit.
Tucker opened his mouth to speak again, but Sam beat him to it. “That is so unprofessional and honestly just plain stupid of you to say. I can’t believe someone who is supposed to be smart enough to get through med school and someone who took the hippocratic oath and has to treat a diversity of patients would be so ignorant to racially profile someone and suggest he’s abusive because of the color of his skin. You damn well know that the cuts and bruises I have are as minor as playground injuries, but no, why would a white girl come in here with a black boy if she wasn’t being somehow manipulated into staying in an abusive relationship? I’ll have you know that Tucker is one of the sweetest people I know and he is a person of incredible character, which is something you, an adult and a supposed professional, are not. Now I suggest you think before you speak next and apologize to my friend here right now or I will have a massive Manson family lawsuit hit you and this hospital so hard your ancestors will be feeling it.”
Tucker’s jaw dropped slightly and his eyes were wide, though he shouldn’t have been too surprised that she would scold an adult like that.
The doctor looked at the girl, who was lighting panting from how much effort she had put into her rant, in shock. He was honestly a little terrified of how much anger she had in her eyes. He looked over at the boy who now held a stoic expression. “M-my deepest apologies, sir.” He didn’t think he could form any other intelligible sentences.
“Awesome. Now go get me a new doctor to wrap my damn ankle so we can get out of here,” Sam said sternly. The doctor simply nodded, clearly still stupefied, and scrambled out of the room. “The fucking nerve of that guy,” she started again, clearly still furious. She looked back at her friend to see how he was handling the situation.
He didn’t even need to thank her, gratitude and pride were written all over his face. She shot him a small smile and held her arms out for a hug, which he quickly accepted. “Thanks, Sam.” He leaned over and kissed the top of her head.
“Any time.” She smiled and pulled back, taking a deep breath as the energy in the room began to settle. Tucker sat down next to her and stared at his shoes for a few moments before glancing around the room and becoming anxious again. Sam quickly whipped out her phone. “Hey did you see this video of a hedgehog taking a bath?” She gave him a comforting smile.
“No, I didn’t.” He smiled back gratefully.
After a new doctor had come in to wrap Sam’s ankle, apologizing profusely to the teens, the nurse from earlier had returned and handed Tucker Sam’s discharge papers. “I left my personal phone number on there in case you have any questions about your friend’s treatment.” Tucker swore she winked at him before helping Sam stand up on her crutches. He only nodded in response and helped Sam out of the hospital, where a cab was already waiting to take them back to Sam’s place.
“So, Game of Thrones marathon until Danny gets back?” Sam smiled, texting Danny to let her know she was alright and they were heading home.
“Hell yeah!”
When they arrived back at Sam’s house, Tucker helped her up the front steps and watched her make her way into the kitchen to pull snacks out. “I’ll order some pizzas, you carry this downstairs and get comfy.”
Tucker nodded and did as she asked after she insisted she was fine and could manage her way downstairs by herself, especially because her house had an elevator to help her grandma get around. He sat down in his favorite spot in her theater and settled in, feeling incredibly grateful for his best friend and her safety.
Sam arrived shortly thereafter and pulled up the episode that would continue her and Tucker’s binge. Game of Thrones was dark enough for Sam’s enjoyment, action-packed enough to keep Tucker entertained without his PDA, and nerdy enough for the both of them. Danny never understood the hype. Game of Thrones was something Sam and Tucker shared, the tradition starting up one afternoon when they were waiting on Danny to get out of detention.
Later, Danny landed in Sam’s basement, glancing at all the junk food scattered across the couch between his friends. “Are you okay Sam?”
“Yeah, I’m fine. Just have to wear this stupid boot for a week. Fortunately it’s not too much bigger than my combat boots, so really what’s the difference.” She smiled.
“Yeah, Sam’s okay, but the doctor isn’t.” Tucker laughed.
“What?” Danny grabbed a soda and sat in the open seat.
“Sam threatened a doctor today,” Tucker stated proudly.
“What?!”
“It’s no big deal,” Sam dismissed it with a flick of her hand.
“It was a big deal, Danny! She even dropped the Manson name and threatened a lawsuit! It was awesome!” Tucker said excitedly.
“It was nothing,” Sam said sheepishly. “Tucker got a hot nurse’s number!”
“Not really, she was just being nice.”
“Oh please! She was totally into you, and you were just radiating that ‘Too Fine’ charm!”
Danny drowned out their conversation and looked back and forth between his friends flabbergasted. He wasn’t even sure which out of character aspect of his two friends he should respond to first. Before he could even gather his thoughts, the two were already sucked back into their show.
“How awesome is that dragon?!”
“It’s incredible! The CGI they do is amazing!”
Danny frowned, feeling extremely excluded. Sam and Tucker were friends of course, but these moments where they were more than getting along were few and far between. “Hey guys, I fought a real dragon remember?” They ignored him. “A ghost dragon? A ghost dragon that Sam turned into? That was more awesome, right?!”
“Uh huh.”
“Sure, whatever.”
“The same dragon I fought today?!” No response.
Danny huffed and crossed his arms over his chest. He wasn’t leaving the two of them alone ever again.

you’re right
we are just choosing to be depressed.
you call it a cold room but I find warmth in the dark blanket of gloom.s
Why is it? We choose the feeling of sorrow over joy.
I suppose if we hold onto it long enough then we can pretend we aren’t the reason.
We can pretend there’s a we.
Who is he?
Do I need to keep toying with this idea that I am multiple.
Sure, we’re the same person, yes, we are. I need you, you need me and I need I
b u t
We wouldn’t have different desires if we got along
although
we do love each other
what was the moment
was it an indentation
a crack
a split?
when did I part ways
I remember that younger age
staring into the mirror
Yes. I love myself.
Like a magnet attracted to itself... repulsing any other who came near.
I remember
4 years old
my dad loved to show me action movies
I don’t care much for fighting now, even then I didn’t, I liked the movies though.
hehe
I remember jumping for joy at the sight of him beating my mother
It used to annoy me so much how my sisters would freak out and yelp
I noticed they’d just make it worse. It completely bewildered me, how this would happen so frequently, enough to make it abundantly clear, how every time they reacted it got worse.
If it bothered them so much then why react? Just accept it.
I accepted it... because I embraced it. I loved the violence... when it was associated with my father.
Like I said, not really much of a fighter myself. The movie scenes were always cool though. Especially enjoyed fighting with my dad, although I don’t even remember the moves he taught me I felt like he knew such huge secrets. Such unexpectable tactics, using an opponents body against them. He was the first one I learned that from, I loved it, he knew exactly what someones natural instinct was to defend themselves, so forward-thinking to use that as a means of offense.
my sisters thought I didn’t understand. I did understand.
I understood they couldn’t control their emotions.
I understood they didn’t really love their mother. If they did then they would’ve understood. They would’ve understood their role.
I understood, my mother provoked him each time.
I was 4. Knowledge is learned, but at that age, you just know things, your mind is fresh. You don’t need knowledge, before any time has passed you’ve retained enough information to already have learned.
It became clear step by step. She knew him well enough, they’d been together 2 decades or so. She understood what made him tick. I was only 4 right... I didn’t understand anything did I? Well, I understood what I saw.
She knew what made him angry. The arguments would reach a logical conclusion. They’d both reach an equal exchange. After much aggrieviation he would accept he did wrong. She wouldn’t, but he was willing to move on if she would just stop shouting at him, he understood she didn’t want to acknowledge anything she did as unjustified.
Then he’d get that look.
She must know him well enough. I mean, there’s two sides to it. If she cared about herself, she would know just to leave it be at that moment. Provoking him more would have the same result as it always had. Every other day, I remember about 3.5 years of it but who knows maybe it was before then too.
That’s enough time to recognise every little detail intuitively isn’t it?
I recognised those moments of remorse.
He’d beg her just to help him
just to cooperate.
Then. If she cared about him. If she cared about him she would recognise that any emotion is too much when someone gets to their limit. He doesn’t act like that normally. There’s a reason for it.
She just didn’t stop.
She just
didn’t stop.
The problem is
although, i cant say its a problem because I have to be grateful with my life for it
is that she started in the first place.
too stubborn to stop. much like me right now.
the truth is
I really enjoyed it back then, watching them fight.
I would love to get good looks at it
sometimes I’d shout encouragement
go on dad, punch her, yeah!
It was so exciting.
Even now, I do find some glee in the thought.
Of course, I don’t want it now, but I remember the times clearly enough.
tis a shame
they’d always ruin the moment by screaming and crying. it would annoy me so much. I’d tell them shut up.
damn
that must’ve really screwed em up
i can imagine what it felt like for someone who actually had typical baseline emotional associations for their family members
they was older than me. I imagine they watched their loving father grow more and more stressed, antagonized and relentless.
it was like, only until we got older, I was the only one who saw the horrible sides of my mother. The neglect. Neglect with the voice of a forced smile. Forced as if someone was literally holding a gun to her. Does it hurt that much? You don’t need to smile and pretend to care mum. I wouldn’t have expected you to care every time. disinterest was completely fine. shame you bottled it all up, concealed it, so poorly. that was so much worse than disinterest.
I got disinterested too you know.
Shame you had to bottle it into neglect.
I know it was hard though. I know I was tough.
Truth is.
I’d say, I’d put down cigarettes for you.
but would I? I never really did pause my games for you.
I guess we was both responsible for the cloud of smoke which stopped us sharing our air.
your mother was right
I’m sorry to bring her into such a note.
You should have disciplined me.
Funny, how I feel I’m able to blame you for the fact I’m even writing something like this.
Funny.
Now I look back.
If only you disciplined me
yeah we’ll pin it all on that
I bet if you just didn’t smoke... I can’t even imagine it.
starting at age 9
you must’ve had a real tough time back then
honestly
I would love to hear in depth what you went through
im 21
all I know is some sentences from your entire youth
childhood to young adulthood
I would love to know
every, single, minute nuance and indiscrepency of that time when you was 8
even more delightsome
every memory precursing it from 7 and even 6.
I remember the story of the little chicken you bought
a small price
you had to take it back though. your mum wouldn’t let you keep a little chicken in your room.
well.
maybe. I know its complicated
but it would have been nice if you all understood back then
that you should have allowed me to be excited and joyful, of my father beating my mother, of my mothers verbal spite returning to her in physical form.
you didnt need to shield me from the realities. I already saw every detail enough to remember it before I was 4.
No, that didn’t traumatize me.
I think, I’d be a lot (less) different if it did.
you didn’t need to shield me.
In my flowery, blossomic fantasy.
Aysh, my dear sister, you didn’t need to scream and cry.
You could’ve smiled warmly at the fact your darling brother found even this delightsome.
There’s reason to be joyful in any situation.
My older ones.
All you did was get in the way. There was no way you could stop me seeing it. Do you think, in the slower perception of time I had in my young brain, that I didn’t absorb every single speckle of detail in the scenario with the long 5 minutes I had to watch it unfold
the 5 minutes you was completely oblivious and dumbfounded
brushing me off to another side of the room wouldn’t stop me from seeing anything
besides i could hear it.
why did you even make yourselves watch it if you didn’t like it.
you could’ve stopped it too.
“mum, you’re making him angry. I know you’re upset but just be patient with him. If you give him some space to breathe he’ll show you he already loves you.”
you just had to be patient with him
I guess when you’re hooked on nicotine since age 9, your 4 year old son has taken all your patience for himself.
Around age 5.
Although, it honestly dampened my soul to do so.
I copied and imitated my sisters.
It would make them freak out so much more when I screamed in excitement.
Then it would ruin the experience.
It would annoy me so much. I still feel remnants of the annoyance now. That irritating sound of my sister ugly crying and wailing. the low, long sob. Just pull yourself together. Like, why cry so soon? Just stop. Wow. Why do you even care?
Look. I care about you... without the thought of you reacting so maternally.
but come on
why ugly cry so desparingly? Just like. why cry so much each time? It’s happened for years hasn’t it? Why aren’t you numb to it yet? It got boring. It honestly got boring.
oh same old reaction is it dad? Don’t you get tired of the same old fights and arguments mum? You both know exactly what you’ll say and act... might as well just not acknowledge each other.
You know
the most ridiculous part of it
she would always hit him first
over and over and over again
like she was literally asking for it
communicating with her hands
go on hit me back hit me hahahaha youre not allowed are you hahahaha you just have to hold onto those tears, mind if i abuse you some more, hit me back, hit me back, hahaha, what are you going to cry in front of your children? no? gonna get angry instead oh boohoo, over and over.
following him as he walked away
literally
what on earth do you expect?
what really annoyed me
was the fact she’d always get so upset when he finally fought back
and he wouldnt even hit her straight away
he’d do everything he could, knock over furnitures, shout, tell her, even plead with her, just stop, leave me alone, i dont want to argue tonight.
then she’d act like it wasnt her fault
like somehow, she didnt cause it all to happen.
she would tell us all the different ways in which he’s evil.
but she underestimated me because I’m young, i supposedly dont know anything and will believe what I hear
but i saw about 5 events a second, I’d have minutes at a time to watch before anyone else even clocked on. I’d say these things like 20 minutes to maybe 45 but its hard to tell because time was slower back then. honestly felt like 2 hours or so. bored out of my mind, not allowed to watch tv because my sisters were freaking out too much
5 minutes every other day. it becomes very easy to spot the recurring events. then notice in which order they happen. which responses only come when a certain previous event has happened. I knew, i could actually measure, by looking at him, how close to the limit he was, when he reached the limit and how further over the limit he’d need to get for it to physically manifest beyond my awareness and into acts of frustration.
either telling me no you cant watch tv right now or no look away
are you stupid
hahaha
shouldve told me to stay in my room and close my ears instead
maybe that way i wouldve been properly traumatized and scared
then maybe i wouldnt be such a freak now
because id have regular memories to talk through with CBT
but i wouldnt be scared of my father
you just took your mothers information at face value.
but i saw everything that happened.
and most of all
i didnt just hear his words. i heard HIM
i understood he had a short fuse, he got angry, sometimes he’d even smack us
but he never hurt us if we didnt do something wrong
he wouldve never laid hand on us without good reason
and yes he’d make sure it hurt but it was only enough to remember what we did and think about it.
it baffles me
how did they think he would ever hurt them
even when we made him angry
he wouldn’t do that.
he even tried his hardest, not to hurt the mother of his children
but she literally begged him to attack
legally
you cant beg, ask or plead with somebody to do something without using words
but humans dont exist within the confines of the law
They do exist within the law of the Lord.
what im saying is, although in a court of law its a discrepency
you can communicate with your body
with your energy for use of another word
with actions
how absolutely numb do you have to be to not understand, those actions make him  attack you
its not even about standing up for youself
you wouldnt have to stand up for yourself if you didndt provoke him
if youd just love him and forgive him, then we’d all stand for each other
no standing alone for yourself
and only yourself, but in the long run, for nobody.
so to summarise
what im getting at is
when i was 5. i stopped expressing my excitement.
and i couldve comfortably stayed there.
i couldve just watched.
but i skipped a few steps. i decided to mimic and imitate my sisters
why? because children are impressionable? i dont know. i just did it and mimiced. it. i dont know if its because i wanted thme to think i was like them.
maybe. i was always isolated in how completely different i was from everyone else. maybe even my sister was a consolation at that point, to share a likeness to.
so for a while I would scream, and cry. i was more elastic then, it was easy to produce tears. or would i even cry? id just scream like they did. annoyingly hold onto my sisters and pretend to be scared like they would with each other
yay. were now in this together.
were doing the samre things.
ugh
that really ruined it.
they believed it. I wish they’d know me enough to know that wasnt genuine.
so i stopped
i stopped pretending
but by then i didnt enjoy it
i just found it really annoying that my mum always complained
she would cry
act trapped
all this all that
she didnt love him
and we couldnt care any less
we understood the problem would be solved if she would jsut kick him out, its not like hes holding the family together or anything
but every day no mater how much she’d annoyingly yell and screech shes gonna leave him and kick him out
she would just take him back in
for like a whole year after that
until i turned 7
it went on and on and on. the same old monotonous reactions. how can the exact same thing, being repeated over and over, incite the same emotional response each time
how on earth is it possible for you not to just lose interest by then to the point you dont even care enough to get angry
i knew i was bored of it
i just wanted to live my days
but my sisters, who, as far as i knew, had had AT LEAST 3 years to get used to this, always always had the same shocked reactions
wheres the shock? its just dinnertime.
its literally
just 7pm.
Thankfully, we had time to watch the simpsons.
it is just 7pm
this is what happens when dad gets home
why are you shocked?
is it a surprise that he didnt give her a rose and lovingly eat dinner
its not a surprise to me
your idiot little brother who didnt know anything and loves to eat up little white lies like the blind deaf imbecile he is.
why lie? like why?
youre so stupid. you always were. you always underestimated me. it was so horrible of you. to act like just because im 3 and 5 years younger than you that i know less than you, that its my job to pretend to believe your lies.
why do you think my lack of knowledge is an invitation for you to hide the truth from me
if im in this world, the same world as you, why tell me im in a slightly different world which looks feels and sounds just like the one we share.
why did you underestimate me? because of my age.
theres a difference between elasticity and plasticity.
i dont say youre stupid because youre old
why do you assume im clueless because im young
youve had your clues
why dont you humble yourself and ask me for the NEW CLUES
do you think thats it? because you noticed patterns in your upbringing that the netire world will never change? is that what you thought?
if we both respected each other. if we both understood we could teach each other
then at the least
it wouldnt annoy me so much  that you would lie to me
maybe it wouldnt annoy me so much that when you tried to teach me division
you made me follow you into the bathroom, so you could hold my homework whie sitting on the toilet, just to make me watch you draw on the back of my homework sheet without even asking permission
why was that? you would always use your height and stature to avoid me coming near your room
but whenever i had something you liked, you’d take it and destroy it, share it with your friends to scribble on and cover it in glitter
there was 3 of you
there was 3 of you
you didnt need my things.
you didnt even respect what I had
so you couldnt have wanted or cared about ti that badly
if you love something you destroy it? is that what it is
so, didnt really summarise.
i think thats when my mind split apart into more than one
more than one dude
but shared
there at the same time
using different connections to understand different things then trying to combine the thought
but not really settling on one thing.
yeah
it was when
i had to pretend to be normal. when i got sick of that feeling, of them wondering why im so different, in enjoying watching my father fight my mother.
i had to pretend it upset me.
then, there was two(+?)
me
and the veil I hid behind
but i was flexible back then
it wasnt just faking expression, I was like method acting
and honestly it really ruined the buzz
i did a lot of pretending after that
when my father left
id just repeat stuff i heard other kids say
i thought it was so dumb. stuff i had no interest in. but i just knew, at those times in introductions and conversations and in response to certain events, the kids who had friends would react like that ... so so so stupidly. they was so dumb. you’re kids. you have such a clear mind HOW CAN YOU BE SO DUMB
maybe thats what comes with being able to trust your parents ha ha ha
and yeah
in some ways, that was worse than being alone
its like i was living
but i was already dead
please forget how many other people have already said those words and read it again like its the first time, so you can truly understand
its like i was living, yes.
but inside, the real me. I wasnt allowed to live, because as long as I lived, I would be treated like I shouldnt be. Like people dont want to breathe the air around me.
They gave me the look, the one which resembled how that part of me, behind the door, in the darkness of the light which shines through it to the back of my mind, felt, when they failed to remember the basic things which they had already been taught.
it was upsetting.
its like i was living.
but i wasnt allowed to.
so the real me had to die
just so i could pretend to be someone im not.
it went on into my teens.
id cut myself
not because i had any interest in t, i just saw how easy it wa to join the emo kids.
say you have depression, cut yourself, respect people with mental health issues, pretend to love Kellin Quinn, be bisexual and whatnot.
youre one of them
you dont even have to try when it comes to comforting them
use the same buzzwords “ stay strong “ “your skin isnt paper”  “youre beautiful” if course that doesnt work now
but age 13-15. thats the way every girl i spoke to online claled me their best friend. thank you so much for always being there every night i need you
and honestly
i do feel baf for acting like they dont deserve to be honoured in speech of them/
i really really am grateful, they allowed me to feel joy, they allowed me to know what its like to have friends, i shared some resemblance to them.
im really grateful, they was there to talk to each night. even if it meant i had to convince myself i loved cats.
maybe they understand now
psychoses dont make somebody evil
neuroses shouldnt be the attractive mental health conditions which get all the sympathy
even aggressive people need empathy
they feel it too.
by the way
obviously
this was trying to paint a picture of how it all started
at least the earliest memories i stil have anyway
i dont still rejoice in the thought of my family being torn apart
and i wouldnt call my sister stupid for being upset.
im glad we’re there for each other now
i wouldnt have it any pther way
and i wish them the best
and im really really really proud of everything my sisters have achieved and even moreso all of the things they continue to do. some of them even inspire me.

oops a fairy tail oc
Ophelia Valkyrie Ryuuto
Okay, to start off, that’s a Danganronpa sprite, more specifically Kyoko Kirigiri’s sprite. I’d choose a different appearance if I where you.
introduction →
Ophelia Valkyrie Ryuuto is a female mage from the guild Fairy Tail. Her name means Serpentine The Slain Dragon.
It does…?
She is 17 years of age, born on the 15th of October, x767.
appearance →
She is a somewhat tall woman, standing at 5"9, making her the same height as Erza and Natsu. She has long, lavender hair that she keeps down, though she has a braid in the side that is tied with a black ribbon. When loose, her hair reaches the very top of her thighs. She has dark purple eyes and a pale complexion. Her usual outfit consists of a dark purple jacket, a simple, plain white blouse with a brown tie, a short black skirt, along with knee high, heeled black boots. She is often seen wearing black leather gloves, purely because her hands are often very cold.
That’s fine, but still the Danganronpa appearance. Maybe tweak it a bit? She’s cute though.
magic →
She uses Tornado Magic, a branch of Wind Magic that allows the user to harness the power of a Tornado. It is a Caster form of magic. It is mainly used as an attack magic, though those that have mastered it are capable of using it to defend themselves as well. It also allows the user to use heavy winds to form a tornado, if the weather allows it. Both herself, her aunt, her mother and her grandfather use this magic, though the only one who was able to master it so far was her grandfather. The spells that she herself uses are: Beast Tornado - This produces a Tornado in the form of various creatures. This also gives the tornado the powers of the creature itself. For example, if the user chose for the Tornado to be a Fire Dragon, the Tornado would take the form of a Fire Dragon, and would be able to produce fire. Her personal favourite form for her Tornado to take is that of a Wyvern. Another spell she uses often is: Ice Breathing Tornado. As the name suggests, this spell produces a Tornado that is harmfully cold. Another one is: Unbreakable Tornado. This creates a Tornado that traps the users opponent inside. It does them no harm, but they cannot get out until the user wishers for them to do so. The last spell that she uses is: Tornado Blast, which hits the target with The force of a Tornado, without one actually appearing. This spell is the one that she most often, since it drains the least magic power.
Tumblr media
This is nice, but I’d suggest just plain old wind magic, like Erigor and Wendy. You can keep the tornado theme, though, it’s pretty cool.
I don’t entirely understand the whole shape shifting tornadoes bit.
The advantages of this magic are that: it covers a large area as opposed to just one small patch of land, which means that she can stay a safe distance away, but still be able to hit her target, which helps her greatly since she is not at all talented in any form of self defense that doesn’t include magic.
The drawbacks to this magic are that: when it is sunny, she finds it difficult to form any sort of Tornado, and so, even the simplest spells drain her quickly. Another drawback is that, with the exception of Tornado Blast, her spells replenish her magic power fairly quickly, which means she cannot act impulsively without dire consequences. In her guild, she is not an S-Class Mage, though she was chosen for S-Class tryouts once. Being an S-Class Wizard isn’t something that she strives for, but she did try hard when the Master chose her for the tryouts.
This is pretty good. She’s flawed, so she’s not a mary sue.
guild →
She is a member of the rambunctious guild known as Fairy Tail. She joined in the year x778, at the age of 11, and has been there since. Her guild mark was branded in a pale lilac, and is placed on her waist, right above her belly button, which means that it often covered by her clothing. When Fairy Tail disbanded, she did not join a different guild, nor did she search for a job at the Magic Council, like some of the other members of Fairy Tail did. Instead, she found herself a job as a model in Sorcerer Weekly, and worked there until she received an invitation from Natsu, inviting her back to the newly reformed Fairy Tail.
team
→
She doesn’t have a specific team that she goes with on missions, since she admittedly prefers to work alone, though if a mission does require more than one guild member, she will often ask Cana Alberona, and the said female will often say yes.
Okay, but Cana typically works alone. She doesn’t bother with people she can’t drink with. Maybe Laki or someone like that?
personality →
She has varied personalities depending on who she is accompanied by, though she is generally a sweet woman. She is fairly patient, and unless it’s regarding her guild, it takes a lot to get her angry, though her magic seems to blossom when she is angry. She is a clumsy woman, which is often something that others around her find annoying as opposed to something she minds. She tends to get pretty paranoid over the most trivial of things, like whether or not someone still likes her because of something that she said, or if they hate her forever, even if they didn’t express any irritation over what she said. She is protective over those that she cares about, which includes practically every member of Fairy Tail, especially those that she is particularly close with. Because of this, she also tends to be defensive against people that her friends or guild mates don’t like, even if they haven’t done anything to her personally. Around enemies of Fairy Tail, Grimoire Heart members for example, she tends to be more cold hearted, and while she would usually have some sympathy, has none.
That’s a good description. She has some flavor.
friends →
She likes to class everyone in her guild as her friend, and also her family, though obviously there are people in the guild that she is closer to than others. She is particularly close with Cana, Gray, Loke, Bickslow, Freed, Evergreen, Elfman, Mirajane and Erza. She also has a soft spot for Wendy: she finds the child very cute and will defend the Dragon Slayer in a heartbeat.
Okay, it’s good that she isn’t just friends with the main characters.
romantic interest →
Her romantic interest is Gajeel Redfox. She and Gajeel actually get along pretty well, and have done ever since he first joined the guild, and she told him that she liked his singing. The former teases her quite a lot, and though she doesn’t particularly enjoy being teased, she puts up with it because she cares for the Iron Dragon Slayer.
Okay, I’m going to flat out say it isn’t such a good idea to do this. I don’t mean to be harsh, but Gajeel and Levy are a couple canonically. Being friends with him is probably a better bet. As for love interests that would probably be acceptable would be:
Lyon Vastia, Macbeth (Midnight), Mest Gryder, Freed Justine, Rogue Cheney, Bickslow, Sawyer, Eve Tearm, Bacchus Groh (???), Rufus Lore, Max Alors, Jet, Droy (If you want. Not my first choice), Warren Rocko, Toby Horhorta, Reedus, and Nab. The first few I mentioned are probably the best choices. You did say she was friends with Bickslow and Freed, so either of them would work.
Tumblr media
mother →
Marianne Ryuuto. Marianne died after giving birth to Ophelia’s younger sister, Sakura. In the time that she was alive, Ophelia was very close with her mother, and she was devastated at her death.
It isn’t the best plan to use stolen art. I think this is Sakura from Fate/Stay Night. I have limited knowledge of the series, though.
father →
Minoe Ryuuto. After the death of Marianne, Minoe no longer wanted to spend time with his family, and spent more and more time at his guild, taking job after job after job, until eventually, he overworked himself, and got himself killed while on a job.
I do, however, know for certain who that is. That’s Decim from Death Parade. I would advise you not to use known anime characters as your oc’s parents. It just makes it seem like a strange crack pairing.
The dad story is sad, though. It’s different than most OC’s dad stories, so it gives her some more flavor.
siblings
 →
Sakura Ryuuto. She used to be very close with her sister when they were both young children, but as they grew older, they drifted apart, especially since they barely see each other anymore.
That’s sorta sad, but that picture is of Nagisa Momoe from Puella Magi Madoka Magica. I’d seriously advise not using anime characters that exist as her family.
other relatives
Tomoe Hawksworth. Tomoe is her aunt that lives in the heart of Magnolia. She knows a little of the same magic that Ophelia and her mother do, though she was never truly interested in magic. However, Tomoe and Ophelia are close, since Tomoe let the girl and her sister move in to her apartment when she was 11 so that she could join Fairy Tail.
That’s nice of her, but this is Hitagi Senjougahara from Bakemonogatari. Please don’t use actual characters as your family members. I’m begging you.
background →
She was born in a town just outside of Magnolia, Fiore. She lived with her mother and father, both of whom were wizards. When she was 9, her mother fell pregnant, and by the time she was 10, her baby sister was born. Unfortunately, shortly after her mother gave birth to her sister, she passed away. Her father was traumatized by Marianne’s sudden death, and began to spend less and less and less time with his family, and more and more time at his guild, taking job after job after job. Eventually, they began to eat away at him, and he eventually got killed by members of a dark guild by taking a job that he couldn’t handle. At this point, Ophelia was 11 and Sakura was only 2, so they moved in with their Aunt Tomoe, who lived in Magnolia. Ophelia, who was practically unfazed by her father’s death due to how little time they spent together, begged her Aunt to let her join Fairy Tail, and even despite her brother in law dying because of a guild, Tomoe agreed.
This background is pretty unique, so not bad.
Tumblr media
hobbies →
She has several things that she enjoys doing in her spare time, but one of her favourites is running, or any other firm of exercise. She enjoys running, not only because she is somewhat athletic, but also because she finds it very calming, and a good way to clear her head. Often when she is annoyed, she tends to go out for a job around town, and it often calms her down.
talents →
She finds herself to be rather skilled in baking, though her cooking skills are far worse. People don’t usually believe that they’re made by the same person because they differ so much in taste.
Okay, all in all, I like this character. She needs some tweaks in appearance, love interest, magic, and her family member’s appearances, but she has some promising characteristics. I like her backstory and her personality, they are unique and give her a distinct flavor. Just make some minor edits (or don’t, I can’t force you) and I think you’re set to go! Thanks for the submission!

Day 1: Endurance
5 times that Shiro and Ulaz went through something unpleasant and the 1 time it was really nice
(Teen rating, normal angst that comes with a Shiro fic, a little bit of racism from Allura, some mistranslation, mentions of injuries and sex)
I.
“I want him awake for this.” Haggar’s voice is clear; there will be no arguments made against her.
Still, Ulaz falters. Usually patients are given some kind of basic sedative; there’s no reason to traumatize them with the pain. Indeed, it would be rather counterproductive to give someone an upgrade only to have them unable to use it.
It only takes a few ticks for Ulaz to resume his movements. Haggar is suspicious, he knows that.
Shiro is scared. He knows what’s going on and he’s more than scared, he’s fucking terrified. Who wouldn’t be?
Ulaz wishes that his eyes conveyed that he was sorry, but he’s rather sure that his all yellow eyes only frighten him more. It probably doesn’t help that he has to turn on the saw right away.
He wants to throw up as Shiro tries to keep a straight face when his arm is cut clean off, as tears well in Shiro’s eyes when the synthetic arm is attached, and as Haggar breathes as if she’s looking at the most beautiful piece of art when the arm starts to glow.
II.
Shiro is looking around the room, so uncomfortable and at ill ease. He’s just defeated another opponent, but his nose was broken in the fight. It’s bleeding because it was cut at the top too, something that’s going to leave a nasty, identifying, scar.
Ulaz has been told just to set it and clean up the wound the best he can. He muses that it’s basically the simplest form of first aid that he can give to the Champion.
“How’s the arm?” Ulaz asks, partly out of curiosity, partly because he actually cares. Sometimes, when people get a Druid enhancement, it goes to their head and makes them go insane.
Shiro glances at him, looking confused. It makes Ulaz wonders if the words translated properly or not. “It works.”
Ulaz moves the sleeve to check it for himself. The skin looks a little inflamed, so Ulaz goes to find some antibiotics, just to be on the safe side.
When he comes back, the Champion is looking down at the floor. Ulaz wonders if he was attractive on Earth, before the mandatory undercut for prisoners who make it through their first fight, before the one tuft of hair turned white because of the Druids.
And now he’ll have this scar, smack dab in the middle of his face.
“These will make you feel better.” He extends the pills out, and he’d like for the Champion to take them, but he’s not going to force them down his throat. Not if Haggar doesn’t make him.
Shiro must be in more pain than he’s letting on, because he takes them rather quickly, grimacing as he dry swallows them.
Ulaz feels guilty as Shiro falls asleep nearly instantaneously. Maybe some rest, however artificial it is, will help the Champion’s condition.
III.
He’ll be honest; he doesn’t think he should be alive. In fact, he’s not really sure how he is. By all accounts, activating the space and time fold inside of the Robeast should have killed him.
But here he was.
And of course, Shiro is elated. He didn’t think he was ever going to see the Champion smiling and blushing like this. Shiro wanted Hunk to pull out all of the stops for a dinner celebration. He was cleaning out a room for him, conveniently located near his. Ulaz, for his part, was more than willing to help Pidge look at Galra tech, to answer Keith’s questions about the Blade of Marmora, and to help Lance understand different ways of alien courtship.
It would all be going great, if it weren’t for Allura.
Allura was suspicious of the fact that Ulaz was alive now. Nevermind that they were now allies with the Blade or anything. They had to deal with her and her being a racist. She was almost positive that he wasn’t the real Ulaz; how could it be him, when they all witnessed Ulaz sacrifice his life for them?
So, Shiro had to deal with all of the unhappiness that Allura dished out. On some level, Shiro knew that she was acting like this because she wanted to protect them all, after everything, but…
“You are jealous that someone wants to be with Shiro.” Ulaz says it calmly. It’s just the two of them, in one of the lounge areas, because the paladins are training and Coran is attempting to make a dish that will one up Hunk’s culinary prowess.
Allura lifted her head from her data pad. “Excuse me?”
He repeats his claim again, just as level headed. It really should have been more obvious. While Lance has not stopped his advances on Allura, he’s no match for her. But with Ulaz and Shiro, they practically are a perfect match. Is Ulaz potentially a little bit below Shiro’s league? Yes, but they are much more evenly matched than Allura, a princess, and Lance, who aside from being a Paladin, is far beneath her.
Allura looked Ulaz straight in the face. “Even if I were jealous, what does that have to do with you?”
Ulaz blinks. Had she really not been cognisant of what she was doing? “You have been very hostile towards Shiro whenever we are together.”
Allura straightened up. She looked just a little guilty. Maybe she hadn’t meant to be acting like she was? “I… I apologize for my behavior, Ulaz. I do not mean to cause you or Shiro any distress. You have to understand that I am just trying to protect the Paladins whenever I can. The fight against the Galra Empire is not easy, as you know all too well.”
Well, an apology was a good start.
IV.
Ulaz is the one who is injured. He could probably tell Shiro how to help him, but all of a sudden, the translators had stopped working. He growled in frustration, which sent Shiro reeling backward, afraid he had offended the Galra. There was a bloody cloth in his hand from trying to stop the bleeding, but Ulaz isn’t sure that would be enough anyway.
Ulaz is breathing through his mouth. Everything around him is spinning and he just wishes that he could Shiro’s voice, but his head got slammed to the ground and everything is ringing.
When Shiro does talk, Ulaz only understands a handful of words. He really needs to learn English, like Shiro wants to learn Galra. The Black Paladin says something about his lion, Ulaz thinks. Maybe there is medical equipment there? But he reaches out to him with a hand. He doesn’t want him to leave. He thinks that, potentially, dying alone is the worst way to go, so he wants to avoid that.
Though these shouldn't really be life threatening injuries, he thinks. He’ll just be very uncomfortable if he’s not allowed to use a healing pod back at the castle.
Still, he keeps his hand on Shiro’s thigh until Shiro picks it up and interlocks his fingers. Obviously, he doesn’t seem worried about being growled at again, especially as he lays down, pressing himself to Ulaz in an attempt to conserve body heat.
It’s a while later, maybe an hour later, that the rest of the team shows up. At first, everyone thinks that Ulaz is dead (again), but then he twitches, an arm around Shiro tightening. Even though they both must be in pain, albeit varying degrees, they created such a peaceful image that the others almost didn’t want to disturb them.
That is, until they noticed the dark stain on Ulaz’s uniform and a fresh cut on Shiro’s head.
V.
Ulaz and Shiro are practiced at dealing with each other’s panic attacks, flashbacks, and nightmares. What they’re not used to dealing with?
Parents.
The funny thing is, these parents are neither Ulaz’s nor Shiro’s, because the former’s have been dead for a long time and the latter’s are relatively safe, tucked away on Earth.
They’re Kolivan’s parents, who are kind of like the parents of everyone in the Blade of Marmora. And the way the act is kind of endearing, because Kolivan’s mother is the tough ass who’ll knock you around, and Kolivan’s father is the one who’s likely to bring cookies to you.
But, given that the courtship between Ulaz and Shiro is one of the few things of interest, aside from defeating the Galra empire, that are going on around the base, that means all of their attention is on the two.
“Have you begun to plan the ceremony?” Kolivan’s father asked them as a tray of a tea-like-substance and what passes as Galra sweets are set before them.
Ulaz’s ears twitched and his cheeks became a darker shade of purple. With the way that it translated, Shiro thought that the ceremony was like a wedding, which was an embarrassing idea in a way.
Ulaz vigorously shook his head. “There will be no ceremony for us.”
Shiro looked over at his significant other. He knew that it would be a long time until they would have time to get married, but to say it wouldn’t happen? Shiro fisted the fabric of his pants and he felt Ulaz’s eyes on him, but there was no comment made.
The visit went on as one would expect a visit with a grandparent would go, which is to say slowly. Shiro was glad when it was over because it meant they could escape to Ulaz’s rooms.
When they got into Ulaz’s bedroom, safely tucked away from everyone else, he bent down and kissed Shiro deeply, pressing him up against the wall. “I’m sorry about that,” he said, when they broke apart.
Shiro raised an eyebrow. “You know that I love it when we kiss.” It was pretty much all they did, aside from the cuddling together.
“No, no. About what he said in the beginning, about…” There was that flush again.
“Us getting married?”
Ulaz’s head tilted. “That can’t have been what it would translate to.”
“No, it translated to ‘ceremony,’ I just assumed that you were talking about, you know, getting married.” Now it was his turn for his face to flush.
Ulaz couldn’t stifle a laugh. “I’m glad it did not directly translate. What we were talking about is something less polite. It’s much more of a traditional event, nothing that I would take part in, or that Kolivan would force us to do.”
Shiro frowned. “I don’t understand.”
“When people mated for the first time, it used to be a public affair. That’s all that we were talking about and I just wanted you to know that I would never put you through that.” Shiro’s heartbeat spiked at hearing what they had been talking about. The idea of it almost made him want to throw up.
But then Ulaz brings up Shiro’s hands and kisses his knuckles. It’s his own little way of cementing something that he just said and the soothing motion of it works every time.
VI.
The Galra empire has been destroyed. It feels like they’ve all been fighting for decades, but for the Paladins it’s really only been a few years. Shiro is exhausted, most of all. He’s been through absolute hell and Ulaz just wished that he could erase it all.
At the very least, he could give Shiro an amazing, real, first time. And that’s what he was going to do.
There were scented candles, rose petals, a fresh set of sheets on the bed, calming music, and the approval of Black (not that Shiro needed to know that).
They started the night with a nice, warm, shower and then a bubble bath. Ulaz is almost constantly nuzzling Shiro, in between the two of them cleaning each other off. After they’re all dried off, which takes a great deal longer for Ulaz to do then Shiro, they went into Shiro’s bedroom. They’re doing it here because this is Shiro’s space, this is where he feels comfortable.
Ulaz leans down and kisses Shiro.
“I love you,” he whispers.
Shiro’s arms are around Ulaz’s neck and his eyes dilate and this beautiful, miraculous, human breaks out into a smile. “I love you, too.”
Ulaz leaned down and nuzzled Shiro’s neck. Yes, that first time was rather perfect, if you asked him.

FAQ: Utah Proposition 2 Would Legalize Medical Marijuana
David Downs of Leafly Reports:
The 2018 mid-term elections see pivotal state-level votes on either medical or recreational marijuana in four states: Michigan, North Dakota, Missouri and Utah. Utah will be one of the most significant, as the majority of voters face off against the Mormon church, as well as police and city leaders over access to medical cannabis.
Utah Proposition 2 appears on ballots as a citizen-proposed state statute on November 6, 2018. Voting “yes” would legalize medical cannabis use for qualified patients. Here are the details.
What Would Prop 2 Do?
The “Utah Medical Cannabis Act” (aka Prop. 2) legalizes medical marijuana in Utah, similar to programs in 31 other states. Individuals with specific qualifying conditions could get a recommendation from a physician and apply for a state medical marijuana identification card.
Medical cannabis smoking stays illegal, but individuals could buy from licensed stores. Limits would be two ounces of unprocessed cannabis, or cannabis products containing up to 10 grams of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) or cannabidiol (CBD).
To facilitate safe access after January 1, 2021, medical cardholders would be able to grow six marijuana plants for personal use in their homes, if there no dispensaries within 100 miles of them.
Who Qualifies Under Prop 2?
Medical marijuana recommendations in Utah would be limited to patients with:
HIV, AIDs, or other autoimmune disorder
Alzheimer’s disease
Amytrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
Cancer
Cachexia or other wasting disease characterized by physical wasting such as weight and muscle loss
A condition manifest by nausea or malnutrition associated with chronic disease
Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, or other gastrointestinal disorder
Epilepsy or other disorder causing seizures
Multiple sclerosis or other condition causing muscle spasms
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
Autism
Any rare condition or disease affecting less than 200,000 individuals in the U.S.
Chronic or debilitating pain “if a physician determines that the individual is at risk of becoming chemically dependent on, or overdosing on, opiate-based pain medication; or a physician determines that the individual is allergic to opiates or is otherwise medically unable to use opiates. with risk of opioid dependence, overdose, or allergy”
Other conditions evaluated on a case-by-case basis
What’s Utah’s Current Marijuana Law?
Recreational use of marijuana remains illegal. Medical cannabis options exist in name only.
It’s legal to possess low-THC/high-CBD oils in Utah, but there remains no lawful way to obtain them. Mail order or interstate transport of such oils remains illegal.
People with six months or less to live may one legally use medical marijuana, under a law (House Bill 195) passed in March, 2018.
Under HB 195, terminally ill patients may only use cannabis obtained from a source licensed by the state Dept. of Agriculture, and a “state dispensary for cannabis.” Neither the license nor the dispensary exist in any form at this time.
Cannabis, of course, remains federally illegal, and also against state law in Utah.
Who Supports Prop 2?
The Utah Patients Coalition is sponsoring the Prop 2 campaign. The Utah Patients Coalition has raised $761,700 and spent $723,880 in support of the measure, Ballotpedia reports. Other supporters include:
TRUCE, a Utah patient and caregiver organization
Marijuana Policy Project
The Libertas Institute
Hundreds of small donors are also supporting Prop 2.
Who Opposes Prop 2?
A group called Drug Safe Utah leads the opposition to Utah medical marijuana. Other opponents include the Utah Medical Association and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In 2018, Drug Safe Utah has raised $167,180 and spent $72,120, Ballotpedia reports.
Utah Gov. Gary Herbert is personally opposed to the measure, but has stated it should go a vote of the people. Other opponents include:
Utah Narcotics Officers Assn.
Utah Eagle Forum, a local conservative group
A.R.E. Utah
Utah Sheriff’s Association
Only two individuals are funding Drug Safe Utah. Almost all opposition funds come from one man, Walter Plumb III, a real estate, developer, philanthropist, and pharmaceutical company owner, reports state.
What’s the Fiscal Impact of Prop 2?
State officials estimate it would cost $1.1 million to start the program and $1.8 million per year to administer. About $1.4 million of annual costs would be covered by fees. General state revenues would have to fund $400,000 in ongoing costs and $1.1 million in one-time startup costs.
How Did Prop 2 Get On The Ballot?
Supporters gathered more than 113,000 voter signatures by the April 15 deadline. Proponents spent $201,125 on professional signature gatherers. They also conducted 10 hearings and amended the proposition based on public input.
Utah Proposition 2 Links
Utah Proposition 2 text.
Utah Proposition 2 Summary.
What Remains Illegal Under Prop 2?
Smoking cannabis. Driving under the influence of it, or using it in public. All other laws that prohibit the production, processing, sale, possession, and use of non-medical cannabis.
How Would Patients Access Medicine Under Prop 2?
A doctor must write a note called a recommendation (not a prescription) for a qualifying condition. Minors would need a legal guardian’s permission. Applicants denied a card could appeal to a state Compassionate Use Board.
How Would Patients Purchase Under Prop 2?
Patients would purchase medicine after showing a valid state-issued medical marijuana card at a licensed dispensary, subject to 14-day limits of either two ounces of raw cannabis flower or ten grams of THC or CBD.
Are There Taxes Under Prop 2?
As a medicine, medical marijuana would be exempt from sales taxes.
How Many Dispensaries Would Be Allowed?
One per 150,000 people in a county. So eight in Salt Lake County, for example.
Can Local Municipalities Ban Dispensaries Under Prop 2?
No, cities and counties could not use federal law as an excuse to ban stores or farms. They can, however, narrowly restrict the time, place, and manner of medical cannabis business operations to mimic a ban. Other local zoning rules would apply, and cannabis businesses could not locate with 600 feet of sensitive uses like schools, parks, or churches, or within 300 feet of homes.
Who Would Grow Medical Cannabis Under Prop 2?
A state-designated producer system, capped at 15 farms, would operate until 2022, when more farms could be added.
After Jan. 1, 2021, medical patients who live more than 100 miles from a dispensary could grow it, too, subject to restrictions.
How Long Would Patients Have to Wait?
Under the language of the proposition, state officials would have to fully implement the medical marijuana system by July 1, 2020. Between Nov. 7, 2018 (the day after the election) and July 1, 2020, Prop 2 contains a clause that gives medical marijuana patients an affirmative defense in state court for certain marijuana crimes “if the individual would be eligible for a medical marijuana card and if the individual’s conduct would have been lawful after July 1, 2020.” There is no affirmative defense for federal cannabis charges.
What About Medical Marijuana Patients From Other States?
Utah Proposition 2 contains a reciprocity clause that provides an affirmative defense against prosecution for certain Utah marijuana crimes, “if the individual has a medical marijuana card from another state and has a qualifying condition under this measure.”
What Are Patient Possession Limits?
Limits would be two ounces of unprocessed cannabis, or cannabis products containing up to 10 grams of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) or cannabidiol (CBD). How long will two ounces of flower, or 10 grams of THC last? Two months for flower — at a rough average of one gram per day. Ten grams of pure THC is a lot — equal to 1,000 doses under Colorado and California’s 10 mg standardization.
Are There Any Anti-Discrimination Provisions?
Yes. Courts won’t be able to discriminate against parents who are lawful medical cannabis users. Hospitals won’t be able to deny organs solely based on lawful medical cannabis use. Landlords must not evict lawful medical cannabis users “unless failing to do so would cause the landlord to lose a monetary or licensing-related benefit under federal law.”
How is Medical Marijuana Polling in Utah?
Medical marijuana polled at 64 percent in Utah, in an Aug. 31 poll with a margin of error or +/-3.4%. February and May polls had support as high as 77% and 72%. UtahPolicy.com commissioned the most recent poll by polling firm Dan Jones & Associates, who surveyed 809 registered Utah voters.
How Do I Vote on Prop 2?
Utah residents who are age 18 or older must mail in their voter registrations at least 30 days prior to the election, which is held on Nov. 6, 2018. Online or in-person voter registrants must complete their registration at least seven days before Nov. 6.
On Election Day Nov. 6, polling places must be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Utah has polling station voter identification rules requiring: one form of name and photograph identification; or two forms of identification bearing name and address.

PERFORMANCE
KINETIC GUIDE 1.0
Learn how to push this natural buttons in your body.We have the pattern to activate those body parts of your body from head to foot. It all depends on how you want to use it according to your game play or training. Let’s put it this way:
“Imagine that you have 2 buttons to press. One is blue and one is red. Blue is beast mode button and red is the switch button of neutrality or defense. You will learn how to switch and activate every part of your body according to the button you want. You will demonstrate the application on how activate your body state when you need it and when you don’t. When you want to attack- you switch your system blue. And if you want to become defensive in situations you can press your body red. Since we are talking about totality of the anatomic structures. We teach that as well with specificity. Your buttons are links embedded in your body and we will recruit them for you to become the intelligent beast. “
For sure you are the best Coach or Performance Trainer or the athlete and certainly did all the programs and exercises the body can achieve beyond discipline and beyond education and experience. But there was a problem. Your movement and your athlete did not connect to what your brain is telling your body to do or training. Why is it that their are only few athletes that perform better ?
Neuromotoric pertains to the relationship between the nervous system and movement. The activation of the specific brain functions in relation to movements. The approach of Neuromotorics Performance Guide is focused in calming the Limbic System by assistance of the cerebellar functions (gyroscope) and brainstem (forgotten/ primitive reflex). We use this specific brain parts to the fullest structure and connect them to every moving joint.
We all know it is kinetic but are there specifics to understand and apply how to connect it ? Kinetic chain is significant but misses the brain link. We use kinetics as the engine of performance and sync them as well to brain functions.
… how to train “ this and that ” it’s just too much information and i did not find anymore reasoning on those exercises. At times they looked like stereotyped from other training’s. Are there specifics, on the spot applicable, simple physics or any brain activation that is realistic in this approach?
We highlight fundamentals in lined with physics and certainly YES you can have it. You will learn and feel it on the spot in your training’s and in your games.
… perform better in my practice. When i am inside the game I feel stiffness like i am kinda have that fear. What’s going on? How come i play more better during practice?
The Neuromotoric Pattern Guide will teach you exactly how to erase that state of fear you are experiencing.
“Even before this plight of courses. The concept of analyzing player’s movements in order to rehabilitate their malformations, creating awareness and feelings based in the control of their neuro patterns is revolutionary. Since I took the certification courses 2 years with Neil. No time was wasted on learning it. It was worth it. Also the utilization of gravity is a component of strength, power and accuracy in players fundamental for them to succeed. You finally made exercises that are executable on the spot. Thanks guys. Juan took the glory at Nadal Cup here in Australia. We have another news for you about the wildcard”
— Alberto Beltran Coach Australia, Sports Academy Brisbane
Definitely that is a good start of connection. But you have to understand that Core Training has specifics and has neuromotoric patterns as well in lined with physics. The direction of every single bone being pulled by muscles.
The mind can lie but the body won’t. You will feel the movement patterns right away on the spot. And you can feel the statistical difference in your performance. Of course you have to understand that you have to accept the fear of falling in relation to gravity is something new to you. You have to submit yourself into that movement. Learn the power of controlled falling without fear. To have power one must expose his movements to dynamic falling and recoil recovery. Overtime you will understand it and you will correct yourself on the spot once you master it.
… My performance gets less better in games. I changed from a warrior to a stiff pony. I feel fear. My body seem not connected. I want to play solid then for unknown reasons i changed my mind. I play with doubts. My force became unnatural and that beast was never unleashed! I played too defensive and i felt weak and i have to admit i got scared. I want to improve my Explosive Performance. Can I be offensive if I want to? Can I play defensive as well but in solid ground?
Sports is like going to a war. Where you train your body and go to compete. You can’t bring a pony to battle. You need a tank that is wise and clever. Your tank is your body. Yes , you can destroy your opponent and turn your body if you want to. Do not worry about that. Lets turn your mind and body to be the clever beast.
“Been teaching tennis for 30 years and I have never seen any exercise training like this. These exercises are unique and never seen before approach. It has an automatic reaction in tricking the brain to move with smooth flow with the body. Before I put them into practice I had them tested first to myself and readily have it practiced to my clients. These exercises open my mind and gave me info to be more specific in my instructions and find faster solutions. It is direct on the spot correctives. It is unbelievable. I doubted it at start then I learned that movement is not just about what we all know. You nailed it guys. So to the most problematic cases with my tennis clients I am readily to used it to focus them for solid stability and power. Tennis becomes more competitive and fun without doubt. Who would even think about gravity? You are crazy genius !”
— Claudio Eulau, NY Long Island
Let me show you how to use the Neuromotorics Performance Guide. Hi My name is Neil Alvarez I have 21 years of experience in the field of Physical Therapy Rehabilitation. In this field i had been working mostly with Traumatic Brain Injury patients to Stroke patients and pediatric disabilities. I had been re educating them to bring back their functionalities close to its maximum potential. A part of this years i had also been working as a Neuromotor Trainer with athletes such as marathoners, pro basketball players ,boxers , soccer players , tennis players of all levels of fields to name a few. In this field i had observed many functional deformities. The worst part is that most able bodied individuals have the human nature to take their body parts functionalities for granted compared to handicaps. In the sense that their mind is programmed not be united in kinetic chains / connectivity. While the handicaps maximize every functional body part remaining. They have the ability to maximize the use of every remaining body parts. I also discovered that the handicaps exactly know how to use their powerful and bigger masses. Like their chest that controls their upper extremity and their core that controls their lower extremity. So in my years of experience i concluded that the able bodied individuals are the one’s that are handicap.
The question now is how? This time it is a game changer. I will teach you how to use my discovery science that i had been practicing for so many years. I will show you how it works. We will be using gravity to give us the effortless power and stability we wanted. And do not forget we will use your fear of falling as the factor element to stimulate the brain functions into action. Until then you will understand an effortless power with a stable body.

“Whatever the deep science behind this Neuromotoric Performance Guide. You guys did a good job and you are legit. I’ve never seen or experience elsewhere it gives me what I want. One situational benefits is just like how you need to use your legs on let’s say a high midcourt forehand. You have to know how to engage the other body parts correctly when hitting or running to the ball. Also, if you learn how to consciously make your body “positive” as they call it, and you can recognize it on the spot even when you are nervous. Automatically the body take charge in dealing the situation since tennis is about executing movements in the end. I’ve seen and felt improvements in my own game and in my students as well. Thanks! Finally there are coaches who value the problems mostly encountered on court and solve scenarios. We are rooting for the next level fundamentals and I hope you can do more of it. We love it ! Feeling is believing.”

“Myself and Neil Alvarez, we met under the GPTCA Course held in Ljbiana, Oct 2017, after listening for half hour to his speech i thought right away that this is what I needed to accomplish what i wanted to get from technic: a clear biomechanical path for a powerful swing.
I found out that with this approach and my experience on court we could relate the movement and the emotion, and how to work them out together on court.”
