i had a tiny segment in my languages post and i dont actually have a name for what he speaks.

he is of this world's equivalent of chinese descent i *believe* but the language he canonically speaks is inverted japanese, so speaking the characters backwards. which i think is supremely cool and when you remove the grammar of the language yeah that makes total sense.

AND it would tie into his lack of articles in common tongue.

and yeah, these are made up languages but i just find it fascinating. plus we know this world's standard language (gelmen) uses a form of japanese hiragana as letters. so having a language that uses the reverse but with different characters isn't too out of the question.

(im currently studying japanese and yeah this is technically possible with the structure of japanese word placement)

ive seen authors call his language a few different things but for the sake of the bit i'd call it Gonohin because thats the reverse for nihongo (with go being the right way) and i think im fuckin funny-

gonohin also sounds better than ognohin. 'ogn-' is just weird to say and i prefer 'gono-'

I think more people need to play around with Damian's speech. Don't get me wrong, I love the antiquated Victorian child style of speech, but also he's a teenager that swears plenty in the comics. We really need more scenes like:

Damian: Father, I regret to inform you that I have been assigned in-school suspension for the next three days.

Bruce: What, why?!

Damian: My classmate Kevin was disparaging a female classmate for turning him down, so I called him 'a rizz-less, basic-ass neckbeard bitch' and said I was going to fuck his mom and give her a son she'd actually love.

Bruce: *is completely speechless*

Damian: That is all I needed to tell you. If you will excuse me, I have homework to complete before dinner and patrol.
