I will FOREVER stand that I enjoy the iterations where Spiderman has ironman has a mentor and that he is a fan of him, or ANY mentor for that fact. I do believe some universes like ultimate (both comics and the series), or the MCU, has its flaws like taking away a bit of Peter's independence, I think it's also important to realize how important him having a mentor is as it's to help him come to the grips that he deserves to have help, he deserves to have someone looking out for him, he doesn't have to be alone. That and I lot of it is really wholesome to see him have other people in his life he can look up to and rely on.

AND YET, THE FANS WHO GET UPSET ABOUT THE WRITERS TORTURING HIM BY MAKING HIM ALONE ALL THE TIME THEN START COMPLAINING THE SECOND THIS MAN GETS A MENTOR FIGURE BECAUSE "HE HAS TO DO IT ALL ON HIS OWN" AND "ITS NOT LIKE THE 616 COMICS"

I was wondering why 3000.

Why not 1 million? 1 billion?

Turns out, if you sum up the runtime of every MCU movie since Iron Man up until Avengers: Endgame (the Infinity Saga), you get around 2999 minutes (this is, depending on the source, but yeah, pretty close to 3000).

And I believe I've read somewhere that the "I love you tons" quote was RDJ's idea because it's something he says with his children? How cute is he? Add that to the 2999-3000 minute runtime of the MCU Iron Man era, and you've got me sobbing my heart out.

On the one hand I don’t think story telling should be sacrificed in favour of fan service and the like but on the other hand I engage in these stories and with characters who I come to love and of which help pull me away from the reality that is our less than exciting world in which I can see myself or my values in these characters that mean far more than just being some actor on a screen and in fact helped me through the moments in my life where I needed them the most and watching them die for wow factor or some shitty plot takes 10 years off my lifespan

It's a little early considering I still have 7 chapters that needs to be written and posted of Becoming a Hero. But it's a pleasure to inform everyone that Principles's second story, a rewrite of Iron man 2 for my power swap AU, is now officially outlined and had a mood board. This? This is From the Grave Beyond!

I can also let it slip that I'm planning a rewrite of Captain America, the first Avengers movie, Iron man 3, The Winter Soldier, and Civil war.
