Soooo I might change this, but, the 'Xander' that died was a robot made by XF-Ture that he replaced himself with during the killing Teruko thing-

The smile on his bandana possibly glows in the dark and he actually has the bandana covering his face a lot??

The MonoTV eyepatch changes with his emotions

The robo arms work and are possibly either connected to him or they have some sort of.... Bluetooth connection to him???

Part of the reason he has robo arms is to dunk on Whit since- ...y'know....

So, he has beef with Whit- and Charles for some reason, perhaps because Charles took his place of helping Teruko?

He finds it hilarious when Charles gets tackled (David probably does too if Xander shows him)

After seeing MonoTV chasing Teruko, Xander possibly goes to someone in XF-Ture and shyly/awkwardly asks if he could have wheels, as in roller skates or blades or something-

Sooooooo, with the wheels thing- I had made a joke that was like- Xander later falls while attempting to use them and MonoTV is just like "Wow, you suck at this!"

I also made a previous joke before making it the mm Xanvid au (Which is possibly platonic idk yet) that after getting discovered he goes something like: "Hello -insert all survivors-" and then to David if he was still there: "Hi, David!" In a cheerful voice, similar to what Cyn did in the last episode of Murder Drones

1. What Disney character do you think most inspired each character in your rewrite?

I remember doing this one post as a little fun game for everyone to share 3 characters that inspired their main characters. But since you asked for just one and it has to be a Disney character, guess I’ll do that.

Asha = Belle (Beauty and the Beast)

Sueño = Aladdin

Magnifico = Hades (Hercules)

Amaya = Zarina (Tinkerbell: The Pirate Fairy)

(I don’t have a solid personality for the 7 teens since they’re not going to have as big of a role. I do have their key traits in my notes so I can look back to it as a guide. But I’m just going to go with the flow when writing their scenes.)

2. More Rani Loreeeeee

I haven’t even finished a final outline for the main plot of the RFTS!story, so idk even for a sequel. Maybe I’ll do some random drawings of family bonding moments and just him being a precious little guy.

(Hypothetically speaking, IF both Asha and Sueño survive the tragedy I’ll inflict on them. I mean what- who said that?)

All I know for Rani is that he’s someone who’s not sure what is the one thing he’s passionate for. And in this kingdom where everyone is so sure what they want and striving to achieve it, he feels lost. Surely, people only have one passion, right? Why can’t he find and settle for one?

Whenever he finds something he could be passionate about, Rani feels icky at the thought of just permanently sticking to it from now on. But at the same time, he criticises himself for being ‘irresponsible and indecisive.’

He “longs” to know his place and know what he wishes to do exactly. Rani doesn’t like being told, “But you’re so talented!!” because he personally thinks it’s unhelpful. It doesn’t make his choice of picking one passion any easier.

He also doesn’t really like vague answers to his questions and gets frustrated with it. “Believe in yourself.” “You’ll get there.” “Keep going!” “You’ll know it when you feel it.” “I don’t know what you’re aspiring to do, but I bet you’ll do great.” Well guess what? He doesn’t know what he’s doing either. :D

Also: *G A S P*. Not a strong believer of Wishing stars nor looking to the sky for answers! 😱 Rani prefers to “see-it-to-believe-it.” A more down to earth person who wants real solutions, not just hoping for something to magically happen.

Ehhhhh, I’ll say he has general knowledge in magic and just about anything he finds interesting and gets his hands on. Not really star magic, though he has the skill of a fast-learner when learning about regular magic. Again, Rani’s existence may or may not be hypothetical. 🤷

4. Does Hopes & Dreams have any other pet names for each other?

Sueño is not really one for pet names since he adores Asha just as she is, including her name. But in his head and through the sign language he eventually learns, he does sometimes call her: “Love or My Sky”

(I love “My Sky” so much because it FITS him. He loves the feeling of freedom and is claustrophobic. So he’s basically saying he feels so free and happy to be around her. Also, *coughs* Bo. “Sky”. My Sky. “Cielo”. Amirite? This was unintentional, I swear-)

For Asha, she calls Sueño: “Starlight, Mi Sueño (this is her fav one ofc), Sunny (though this is more general), Hon/Honey.”

For the last one, I have a silly headcanon that Sueño comes to have honey as one of his fav foods. It sort of rhymes with his other nickname, “Sunny,” and Asha thinks it’s hilarious to tease him with the “honey” nickname when he gets all sticky.

Idk why I even came up with this, but the thought that he’ll eat anything, even food he usually doesn’t like, that is dipped in honey on it is just funny, okay? And it connects to Hal too since I remember she’s meant to be a beekeeper. (This may also be a cute little reference with Winnie the Pooh if Sueño shapeshifts. Hehehe)

Btw, stars can taste but not go hungry. Like how they touch and feel stuff but not feel pain when inflicted or hit by something. If it’s dark magic, then that’s the only exception and they can feel pain.

Idk actually. I made Amnifico or ‘Grand Despair’ from scratch without referring or getting inspired by any couple I know. It’s mostly songs and vibes I’ve collected to create their dynamic. Same with Ashueño. The Rapunzel similarity was not intentional. 😅

(I think you should be worried because my RFTS!Spotify playlist has lots of angst- lol.)

Uhhhhhhh, maybe Grand Despair can be something akin to Charity and P.T Barnum from the Greatest Showman. But darker and eviler.

A guy who promises something for his beloved, gets carried away, and eventually forgetting what this was all for in the first place. :3

8. Are the other characters’ wishes important to the story?

Hmmmmm. I guess they influence the narrative and further establish the conflict of the story.

Like, the characters are used to just taking the easy way to achieve their dreams by waiting for the day Magnifico grants them one morning. They can make as much as they want. Unbeknownst to them, they’re stuck in this cycle of always wanting more but never satisfied.

They keep wishing and wishing, believing that they have no chance of reaching it on their own without their king’s help.

I’d like the main theme to be: not being afraid to dream big and “Reach for the Stars” but you shouldn’t expect grand things to just come to you instantly. You’ll need to take faith and work for it. Why? Because the whole journey getting there, regardless of the many struggles, is worth it and it sure is something to look back and be proud of.

It sure is what Walt Disney did, isn’t it? :)

It’s kind of difficult to pick from the Hazbin cast what each RFTS!character is like since one plot is based off of dreams and everything nice while the other is literally based in hell. 😂

But I’ll try:

Asha:

Emily was the closest I could think of. (Since I literally couldn’t think of anyone else. Oof-) Not really referring to the happy, excited part of her. More like the “I believe these people deserve a lot better than this” and eventually finding her voice to stand up against authority for the people she cares about.

Sueño:

No, not the aggressive and assertive side of Vaggie. Lol nope. More like getting attached to the MC that helped them get back onto their feet, warmly welcomed them in this strange new world, and now they would do anything to help them get their dreams come true whatever it takes.

(Also, a secret they’re keeping that’s eating them up inside with guilt and constantly worrying that the MC would hate their guts if they knew. Oops-)

Magnifico:

I’d say the fake-ass showmanship he puts out in public but in reality, he’s really done and exhausted with his audience. He’s still pretty charismatic when he wants to be but I can see him losing his cool quite easily, leading to outbursts.

Amaya:

Idkkkk. The main cast of Hazbin don’t really fit RFTS!Amaya’s vibe so I just went with Lilith despite how we know nothing about her at the moment. (This is probs gonna age badly-)

She’s a parental figure to someone who trusts her a lot but in reality, her motivations might not be what they seem. She could be willing to sacrifice other people if it means she gets a benefit out of them.

Mystic Mayhem: The first episode of the series, of course! Algo this will be the beggining of the comics, meeting Draxum and Raph.

Bug Busters: Seventh episode but will be turn into the second in this AU, and we will meet Big Mama and Leo, it will be more harder to Just Mikey catch the bugs tho, im still planning on that.

Origami Tsunami: First time we will see Donnie, but disguised, and we will algo meet Lieunetant and Brute, the Foot team leaders, and maybe some ya know, backstory stuff

Hot Soup: The Game: Yep, this will get an comic, tho this time the protective one will be Splinter.

The Longest Fight: This is an good ep and lore ep, this time we will see Donnie and Casey doing this mission together, trying to get the piece, and its up to Mikey to see the Extreme Skateboard Championship and fight against the Foot Clan.

Izuru gotta keep makoto on a leash so he doesnt float away or get lost or hust… do something stupid because this is an alien planet. anyways, junko trying to recruit izuru into her death parade but she tried to eat makoto so bah. Just going into the lore that rhis species universe has (this universe used very delibrstley but that jas a lot of the loreeee) humaniods (humans but they have slight differences since they are in another universe. Basically more color and the presence of extreme luck.) that were thought of as just like another prey animal. This was false, they are considered “sentient” (able to comprehend their own existence) and now there are a lot of conservation laws and equality laws since the humans are the only species that is sentient but isnt able to harness their own energy to make and destroy. Anyways, some places still serve humans and shit, crazy stuff. Antways so izuru doenst like people trying to eat his mate-

makoto has been desensitized or has a blinder on because Izuru jusr… mercs people sometimes… hes a solitary member of his species and particularily canniblistic and shit (why he is more powerful) bros just a danger and thats what we like

my (spoilered) theories on secret life loreeee

SO. IT'S NOT JUST ME. THAT SYMBOL IS THIS CLOSE TO THE WATCHERS -- maybe it's warped? listeners trying to interfere? grian's own attempt to protect his fellow players from these malicious beings he is all too familiar with?

like listen the mechanic is so similar to how the watchers rewarded the evolutionists - do what they ask of you, and you will be rewarded accordingly!

the symbol embedded into the stone.. it's cobble, not bedrock but it very well may be!! perhaps they're slightly weaker? idk

im gonna call the place they go for rewards the "watcher altar" for the sake of simplicity

as martyn approaches it, the sky darkens -> the watchers are paying incredible amounts of attention to him, tryna see what they can do and if their interference from limlife is still holding -> its not, i think, given the listeners' interference; so the watchers once again try -> it MIGHT have worked, given the sudden change in martyn's level of intensity regarding the game

^ here, im contrasting his initial carelessness with his hearts - he got down to one row of hearts!! (perhaps his attempt to be less of a threat and get out early so he doesnt win?) with his post-altar calculating approach, where he purposely starts collecting promises for future hearts (attempting to cement his own future safety)

this apparent change in goals may indicate interference from the watchers - why? i dont know. theyre upset with him but still wanna make him win? or maybe they wanna use him as a tool to get some of the typically higher-standing players out in the future?

his experience with the listeners in the void may have reminded him of their blessing/gift -> he uses this on grian when he noticed g loitering around the watcher altar (martyn crouched and spied on him in an attempt to hear what grian was saying) + "you got too much, i heard you say it" - they are reverting back to their previous suspiciousness and mistrust in the later stages of evo, when they were divided by the watchers and listeners. this situation (slsmp) and the secrecy required/demanded is so similar to evo that they are finding it harder to differentiate flashbacks from reality. they're regressing; any progress made since those times is being undone as they are thrust back into a situation so similar to a previous traumatic experience which they still have not processed fully

idea of key memories + repressing: let's look at pearl and martyn (there are more but this is what i remembered) pearl: "who goes to the nether on session one?" martyn: "have you- have you forgotten? i do every time! you know this, you've been there with me!" -> my interpretation is that martyn's memories are (unfortunately) incredibly clear - it's one of his punishments for defying the watchers all the way back in evo and explains why he keeps making references to past seasons - he is desperately trying to find anyone else who remembers so that he's not alone -> on the other hand, pearl, as a victor, was given back her memories as a "gift" - however, judging by the incredibly violent and traumatic circumstances in which she won, she subconsciously repressed the worst of the memories because she was in no state to handle them - her "amnesia cold" in limlife was when the watchers needed to intervene and bring in another player to replace her since she was unable to handle the memories leaking through due to the ambient surrounding magic
