"...Hello? Ma! I told you not to call me today, I'm making a movie!" -Wario, Mario Power Tennis
The most important lesson from Ma that Wario took to heart was the endless pursuit of cold, hard cash. Unfortunately, the one lesson she could never teach him was the importance of hard work to get it.  It wasn't for lack of trying; Wario's Ma is the hardest worker this side of the Mushroom Kingdom.  Raising Baby Wario was a herculean enough task on its own, but ever the enterprising spirit, she had also set out to grow one of the most profitable crops: garlic.
Her backyard business quickly expanded into a veritable garlic empire. Wario's mother toiled away tirelessly each day from sunrise to sunset to grow and harvest as much garlic as she could possibly achieve.  Much of Wario's current strength and endurance can be attributed to helping his mom on the farm as a child, although the teeth-pulling task of getting him to actually work was almost as difficult as preventing him from eating all the garlic straight out of the ground.  Wario's nose for instant gratification has always been a thorn in his mother's side, but try as she might to instill a solid work ethic into the boy, her "get-rich-slow" schemes could never appeal to him.  Still, Wario enjoyed his surprisingly agrarian upbringing. Along with garlic, his mother also raised chickens for eggs, inspiring in Wario a lifelong soft spot for poultry.  (He also had a pet hamster named Fluffy, who sadly passed away in 1986.)
Today, Wario is still on good terms with his mother despite their physical distance, and frequent phone calls keep her updated on all of Wario's business successes.  Of course, being Wario, he heavily embellishes the amount of work he actually does at his company.  If she only knew...

YOU GET IT. a diavolo and pucci bible study would end up in them trying to mangle each other and still... Alluring
Haha yeah. I mean, it's not even just the obvious fact that Diavolo is a guy named "Devil" and mild thematic opposite to DIO while Pucci is a priest and one of DIO's closest confidants.
Like, "What would Diavolo even think about God" is a question I've pondered a lot in the past.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Diavolo does mention an "afterlife" for his enemies on occasion, but otherwise his real thoughts on it are unknown. (Hell he might not actually believe in an afterlife and he's just saying that to taunt his enemies dying). However he was raised by an Italian priest so we basically know for a fact that he has history with religion.
It's always been my personal headcanon that Diavolo has religious trauma- the fact that he has trauma is canonical yet unexplored, and his father seemed like the most obvious source of it. That could mean a lot of things. He might have resentment for the church after he got away from it or he might have developed an odd version of its teachings after all that time.
Considering his name is Devil, Diavolo's belief that he can surpass his own fate could be construed as his desire to "surpass" God in a way (to escape the punishments that his father made him feel like he was born deserving, maybe). At the same time, he also believes that he's chosen by "fate" to rule, creating an oddly self-contradicting worldview. (Then he's ultimately punished with the death loop, which disobeys his fate of death to torture him for eternity.)
Pucci's idea of fate is heavily intertwined with his religion, with his idea of "Heaven" being the ability to see your fate before it happens. Considering the common Christian belief that God predetermines what happens (which would make sense as a belief for Jojo since fate is a real, tangible force), Pucci probably believes that fate is God's will. So, his idea of "heaven" could be Pucci wanting to be close to God and understanding God's will (as much as it also ties to the tragedy that happened in his backstory, spawning his desire to accept what will happen in his life and thinking that's what's best for everyone).
At the same time, Pucci also states that only he is untied by fate in his ideal universe, which would logically be disobeying God's will, making him a bit unintentionally hypocritical. I mean, his entire "Heaven" plan is an attempt to usurp the set-in-stone laws of the Universe, which is also logically an act of disobeying God. Him obeying DIO and telling him things like "I love you as I love God" could easily be construed as idolatry. DIO heavily manipulated Pucci when he was young and used his religious beliefs to make him obey him, so his whole "Heaven" plan could very obviously be seen as an act of disobeying God despite Pucci's belief that it's what God wants. But I digress.
If it's like that, then we'd have a character who strays from God's will despite thinking he's a righteous man of God, and a character who intentionally desires to surpass fate, has a potentially tumultuous history with religion, and believes he "deserves" to rule despite cheating his way to the top. It's so interesting how similar they become when you think about it despite them being so dissimilar at first glance. They'd hate each other and the way they think despite how adjacent they really are. Like, man, if they interacted, let alone were somehow forced to sit down and talk to each other about their worldviews... I don't even know.

Miss them so much, just want them back. Why of all the miserable and shitty and awful things that have happened to me, why does this hurt the most? Why can’t I let go and move on?

Since the very first book, Kaitlyn’s always been kind of a wild card, but this, I think, is the exact moment her character took a turn for the worse and never recovered.
The gang puts up flyers all around campus for Kaitlyn’s band performances, cheers her on and encourages her when she performs for the first time, the MC helps her reinvent herself with a makeover to boost her confidence, and the gang all goes out of their way to attend Kaitlyn’s band performances even though Natasha and Rachel openly and repeatedly treat them badly just to support their friend.
But then the MC gets knocked down in the mosh pit, Zig leaps to her defense, and then violence erupts all around her and the rest of the gang, through no fault of her own. And what’s Kaitlyn’s first concern after things get violent? Not the safety of the MC or her other friends, but the fact that her band might get blacklisted from the venue because of the fighting.
And then, she even goes so far as to accuse the MC of egging Zig on to get back at her because of the fight she and Abbie had…the fight that stemmed from Kaitlyn’s lack of receptiveness to the concerns Abbie expressed about her skipping classes after late nights with her band.
But somehow…the MC has never been interested in supporting her with the band. Right.
There are definitely worse characters out there…but shit, Kaitlyn grinds my gears like you wouldn’t believe.

Reader with chronic headaches series - Dottore edition
Yes. this is self indulgent. I deserve it because head hurty and i can just feel its gonna get worse. As bonkers as he is, i think he'd be a great person to have look after you when you're not well (provided you have a close bond with him). Be aware that this is heavily based off of my own experiences with chronic headaches and migraines (and what I do to look after myself when I have them), and is not indicative of everyone's experiences.
Content: Gender neutral reader (implied to have chronic headaches and/or migraines), pre-established platonic relationship with Dottore, just. general Dottore warning, he's a little creepy and likes to keep lists about people.
At first, he's weird about it. He's trying to note down your symptoms and figure out exactly what's wrong, giving you solutions that (surprise surprise) don't work. It would almost be sweet if you didn't know he saw you more as a puzzle to solve at this point.
The idea of chronic illnesses is like a challenge to this man, he's so annoying about it, constantly bothering you about your symptoms, asking you to chart your headaches, where you'd rate them on a scale of one to ten, etc., at this point, he's almost more of a headache than the headaches themselves.
Eventually though, he calms down a bit and starts being actually helpful. He's very observant, so he picks up on the common signals you give off when you've got a headache or a migraine coming on, even if you don't notice them yourself.
When he notices, he'll have someone wordlessly bring you a cool glass of water and your pain relief of choice, sometimes even offer to take over your more menial duties to remove some stress from you.
He takes careful note of what you do to help alleviate them and will replicate those actions, sometimes sternly ordering you around when you're continuing to try and push yourself further. Being of such a high rank, he's easily able to take advantage of it to give you a day or two off.
He'll usher you into a quiet, dark room with a nice cool temperature and a pile of blankets, making sure you're stocked up with plenty of water and your preferred brand of pain relief, while nattering away about what he thinks may be the root cause of your pain this time (as much as he tries to eliminate all potential causes, some still manage to slip through the cracks).
He's uncharacteristically tender with you when you're in pain, especially if he feels guilty for not noticing before it got as bad as it has. He's gentle and speaks in a soft, low voice that's both easy to understand and listen to even through the ringing in your ears.
Though he's used to how your symptoms manifest, it doesn't mean that he worries any less - he still checks up on you just a little too often, but he always tries extremely hard not to disturb you, especially if you decide to take a nap or have a lie down.
He makes sure you're extra stocked up with your favourite snacks, blankets and comfort items, and might even try to find you something simple to keep you entertained that isn't too much strain on your head if you get bored or restless (you're not sure where he got these colouring pages from, but they're well made!)
The amount of documentation he keeps on you is almost unnerving, there's enough there that, even when he's not around, there'll be someone who has been given a briefing and knows exactly what to do to help you.
Once you're feeling better, he scolds you if you overworked yourself or acted too stubborn, insisting that he's a doctor and you should listen to him.
Overall, he's a great person to have take care of you when you're not feeling a hundred percent. He's willing to field almost any request if it'll get you back up and feeling well again.
Please don't repost, steal, copy or otherwise plagarise my writing! This includes posting translations to other sites (without credit + permission).
