Utahime was on the internet enough to know about the "cat distribution system" -- people finding strays on walks home from work, in their backyards, all manners of unusual places as if said cats had dropped out of the sky in an act of destiny. She just didn't expect to be on the receiving end of it. That wasn't her luck.

She crouched down to get a better look at the cat curled up on her doorstep. It looked like Gojo -- fluffy white fur, shining, crystalline eyes, an expression that said I can see the secrets you think you're good at hiding -- and that the thought even crossed her mind made her blink in surprise.

Still, it was pretty cute, and she couldn't bear the thought of leaving the poor thing outside in the rain, nor when it looked like it'd been through something awful. Utahime scooped the cat into the pocket of her overalls to bring -- a quick peek under the tail suggested him -- inside.
