Okay, so I have read a lot of fics where Dogma joins the Coruscant Guard post-Umbara as a way to protect him, or he joins the Guard because the 501st doesn't like him, but I have a new CG Dogma AU concept.

Rex sends Dogma to the Guard specifically to look after Fox. He KNOWS Fox is overworked and the Guard is understaffed, but Fox just isn't asking for help as much as Rex would like, so he sends Dogma over because if Rex can't be there to look after Fox himself, he might as well as send the next best thing. Dogma is a little skeptical about it at first, but Rex tells him that he is legitimately the best man for the job specifically BECAUSE of his personality (he's got reason to believe Fox will have a soft spot for someone who reminds him of Rex).

He tells Fox that this is something he and Dogma discussed because the kind of work the Guard does is a better match for Dogma, but that he's also one of Rex's most impressive soldiers. Fox sees right through Rex and is not impressed at being assigned a babysitter, especially not some barely-not-a-shiny sergeant from the 501st. It's almost insulting, but the paperwork has already gone through so he can't say no or just send Dogma back.

But Rex knew what he was doing and Dogma IS a lot like Rex and he thrives in the Guard and it turns out he gets along incredibly well with Fox and, due to some special insider info from Rex, is perfectly capable of helping keep an eye on his new Commander.

I... have a confession to make, of sorts. There won't ever be a good time to admit this, unfortunately, so it's best I get this off my chest now, and ask for forgiveness rather than permission.

It has not been easy speaking with all of the flashclones who have made themselves known in the wake of Union's latest raids; both for myself, and the squadron at large. I must commend my squadmates for handling themselves with the utmost professionalism - while my own correspondences with these newest members of the Omninet have been what I would consider adequately polite, I've been biting my tongue the entire time, and I fear that my personal discomfort with the issue is starting to slip through the cracks.

To this end, I wish to share my thoughts publicly, that I might better express my own emotions towards this complicated, frustrating, and highly nuanced issue. I only ask that you hear me out in full before you render judgement, and pronounce your sentence carefully.

First: an observation.

MSMC policy requires that all pilots dictate an end-of-life plan at the time of their recruitment, that their final wishes may be carried out by the company in the event of their death under MSMC's employ. The options provided for this are effectively unlimited, allowing the pilot a great deal of choice and freedom in planning their postmortem arrangements. These plans may also be altered in the future should circumstances change, provided the pilot is of sound body and mind.

Under MSMC policy, in compliance with the policies set forth by Union, one of the available postmortem options is flashcloning.

In my fifteen-odd years serving under MSMC, I have only heard of three pilots who have willingly chosen to be flashcloned after death (thus prolonging not only their life, but their term of service under MSMC as well). Of these, I have only personally met one, affiliated with MSMC-808 "5Q8R3 L00P3RZ" - I believe their current iteration goes by callsign Lemniscate. While I do not know how many times they have been cloned during their term of service, their current iteration seems happy enough, and their squadmates reassure me that they've maintained a consistent identity (plus or minus the odd quirk, as is typical of flashclones) throughout their life (lives?).

Second: a digression.

I purchased my Dusk Wing, And The Voice of Apollo Spoke From On High (Apollo for short), from an SSC showroom on a planet whose name I no longer recall. The curated atmosphere called to mind the high marble pillars and lush green-blue waters of some distant Cradle mythology where gods roamed the earth and mortals strove to emulate them, punished and rewarded for their folly in equal measure with gifts and curses beyond name. Each frame was posed as the statues of old on Cradle, too-human limbs arrayed in too-human poses, each a machine of war turned living art piece.

Apollo, true to its future name, was arrayed in flight; hover-jets draped with sunlight-yellow gossamer, veil rifle aimed in its middle tier of manipulators with the same care and precision as an archer would take with their bow. To see it lowered to the floor after its purchase was to see Icarus fall; to climb inside its cockpit for the first time, to don wax-and-feather wings of my own and fly.

The old tales caution that divinity has a cost, and I too paid the price. A vial of blood, drawn with silver needle and spirited away into an unseen cooler before my pen ever touched paper. Apollo was mine, but SSC had received a far greater gift in its place: a sample of my DNA, unwillingly donated as the price for my divine armament.

Even now, this price weighs heavy on my head like the sword which hung above Damocles, poised to drop without a moment's notice with each new Union raid on yet another forgotten cloning facility. Who can say on what distant planet the children I did not birth sleep in stasis - children with my eyes, my hair, my nose, my smile; sons and daughters who will never be called as such because, to their creators, they are slaves, weapons, property - anything but human.

Third: an explanation.

I believe that flashcloning, in its current state as of 5016u, as approved by Union's Third Committee (and exploited by the likes of SSC, HA, and several countless others across the stars) is an inherently unethical practice; both for those who donate their DNA (willingly or otherwise), as well as for those persons produced by it.

To see countless lives created, manipulated, slaughtered, and recycled in the name of so-called "progress"; to see inherently human beings stripped of every vestige of humanity but the body in which they reside and then forcibly brainwashed and molded into soldiers, medics, mechanics, weapons, machines, slaves, property - it is an abominable and inhumane practice that should have died a slow and painful death in the darkness from whence it was birthed.

This being said: I cannot stand idly by as the products of this inhumane practice continue to suffer. No matter whether it is beneath the apathetic gaze of Union, the dehumanizing bootheel of HA, or the eugenicist scalpel of SSC, I will not allow my fellow persons to endure another day of abuse at the hands of those who would abandon their own creations as little more than imperfect failures for daring to remind their creators of their sentience.

Alone, I can do nothing. I too am but a cog in this great uncaring machine humanity has built, one which prospers on suffering and bloodshed and the work of hands which have forgotten the body to which they are attached. Even if I were to risk life and limb and reputation to make my position known, it is a battle which lies dead in the water - it is impossible to halt the wheels of progress without irreparably damaging the future which relies on their turning.

And so I fight. I fight for those who have forgotten their humanity, both willingly and unwillingly, that they might find something of their own - identity, purpose, desires, connection, life - that reminds them of what they were and are and always have been: human.

I had a conversation the other day about accents and how some people's accents can change or are influenced by where they live and for how long and how others aren't - this is from personal experience as well, and it just got me thinking then about how Sejanus' accent might have unintentionally changed too while living in the Capitol.

Like, the Plinths would be the only ones from that kind of circle who would have a District 2 accent, which makes it's very obvious that they're not from here the second that they open their mouths. But while Strabo tries to alter his accent to fit more in with the Capitol - particularly the upper circles there, Sejanus and Ma Plinth, try to hang onto theirs, more so Sejanus.

But ten years is a long time and aside from Ma Plinth and the rare occasions when Strabo drops the Capitol accent at home, Sejanus is surrounded by only the Capitol accent at all times and although he doesn't realise it, over time it starts to creep in and affects the way that he says certain things.

So, by the time that the 10th Games roll around, it's obvious as soon as Sejanus speaks that he's not from the Capitol, but I'm thinking for a scene in an upcoming fic where he's speaking to Sabyn, (because Marcus still won't speak to him) and she points out just how different his accent is now to hers and Marcus' and thus everyone else from home.

It's definitely not a Capitol accent, but it's not quite District 2 anymore either. And if he spoke like that in District 2, then people who wouldn't know just who he was, would then ask him where he was from.

And that observation/realisation utterly breaks Sejanus' heart then, because his accent had been one of the last things that he had had of home, of his District 2 heritage that he had desperately tried to cling to, but along the way he lost it without even realising it.

It's changed, not quite District and not quite Capitol, not belonging to either place.

Alfred is the only person to be able to speak some sense into Jean-Paul, because he refuses to take this shit. Jean-Paul may be more mentally ill and unstable than Bruce, Alfred knows the drill and how to operate it.

It's also very interesting, because, if y'all remember, Alfred is the one who picked up Jean-Paul as a new member for the Batfam and who also tried to get him to stop killing, to change his goal from vengeance to saving lives, especially Bruce's life. And here again, he is capable of making Jean-Paul changes his mind, and makes him protect and save Bruce's life.

Part of why I hate this fandom's take on Autobots vs Decepticons is ppl (mainly 'con fans honestly) who can't have any nuance of the situation whatsoever and love to write plots like "oh the humans are racist and abusive towards Cybertronians so this is how Megatron is right" no actually I don't think colonialism/imperialism and racism are justified so long as you can point the finger and say "they were the aggressors first" or "their hands are no cleaner than ours bc their society sucks too" sorry. I was talking about my experience with a portion of the fandom, not the entirety. I was there, I saw the things people were saying and how things were twisted to excuse the racism. Especially the push that John had no respect for and was over sexualizing Daisy.

Again, ship whatever you want, I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with Reylo. It doesn’t do it for me, but that’s fine. However, as I pointed out, a portion of that same fandom is now clinging to Oshamir and seemingly projecting their long lost Reylo wants and entitlements on to them, and it’s not fun for me to see. Which you only further prove my point of, by dismissing what I’m saying.

“Why would racists ship PoC?” because some of them don’t care that Osha and Qimir aren’t white, solely because to them it’s a matter of vindication. They don’t see them as new characters, but as Reylo stand-ins. Which is why I also said, if either Amandla or Manny say a single thing the racist and entitled fans don’t like, they’ll be hit with the same backlash as John. Don’t play the fool.

Back to the point though, I’m wasn’t talking about every single Reylo out there. I’m enjoying the fan art and theories, and a lot of it is coming from Reylos, but that doesn’t erase what was. A lot of the hate John got was purely racist, and some of it did stem from him not shipping Rey and Kylo. In fact, a good example of that brewing again is the fans who are trying to uplift Osha/Jecki over Oshamir, in negative ways. Not everyone, but we all saw that account on Twitter (and the many who co-signed) trying to make it seem like killing off Jecki was to sideline a lesbian ship. When really, Jecki was underage, was she not? But also, Dafne Keen is white, which speaks to the fandom racism overall.

The Star Wars fandom as a whole is not welcoming, which I also stated. Amandla is being talked down upon solely because they’re Black, and Kelly Marie Tran was treated horribly during her run as well. Not by Reylos to my knowledge, so I’m not pretending like they were the ultimate toxicity within the fandom. They weren’t, but to act as if it was 100% in defense of Daisy is disingenuous.

So if we focus on what I said, which was seeing so many of them on my feeds now, and seeing how a lot of them are using Oshamir as a sort of shield to ignore how things went down, rubs me the wrong way. It makes the Oshamir fandom not as fun, for me. It doesn’t mean every Reylo here was a weirdo back in the day, but maybe you’re white and simply don’t get it? I don’t know.

Either way, the topic of the post wasn’t up for debate. It was me expressing my thoughts about being an Oshamir shipper.

Lastly, yes, Reylos party in the Oshamir tag, but you can’t expect people not to tag Oshamir posts accordingly to avoid angering other shippers. The “Oshamir” tag is Osha and Qimir’s playground, and while I will be sure to not go out of my way to offend anyone, I’m not going to not post my thoughts. So if you don’t want to read anything else I’ve got to say, that’s fine. Block away, because biting my tongue to avoid potentially offending Reylos in a tag that does not belong to their fandom, is not happening.

To other Reylos who may read this, understand I’m not coming for your ship nor your entire fandom. I’m talking specifically about how seeing racist undertones from some Reylos in the Oshamir fandom is reminding me of what happened in the past. If you aren’t or weren’t one of those people, this post nor my previous one is referring to you.

Viktor tried to fight off the smile emerging on his face when he heard his friend's good hearted teasing. Making sure his amusement doesn't show on his face, he turned his head towards the source of the voice and replied the accusation with his best unfazed expression, "I'm not understanding what you mean."

"Oh you know damn well what I mean," Chris was looking at him with an eyebrow arched so high, he was always the best at it, "What happened to 'Graphic shirts are only for those who have no idea how to play with textures and colors.' then?" Well.

Chris was staying at their place for his annual visit, supposedly including Phichit but he couldn't make it because of some family business that's too complicated for Viktor to remember, and three of them planned to have a dine out and drinking night. Yuuri left them early in the morning for his ballet class from Lilia, then Chris announced he's going to wander around the city and shop a bit so it was Viktor's job for today to visit the vet and buy Makka's special dog food and vitamins.

Until 5 minutes ago, Viktor was waiting both of them in front of their apartment where he came to park their car because he absolutely wasn't going to be the responsible one and not drink tonight.

"Yuuri should be here any time soon, he was changing the last time I texted him." This little piece of information wasn't going to please Chris' curious interrogation in any way but Viktor didn't want to give in that easily. It was his job as Chris' best friend to annoy him more.

"Uh huh, so it's any time soon he will see you in this graphic shirt. Though I have to admit, this is kind of too innocent to be a special liking."

"It's not that-"

He stopped talking immediately as he heard the apartment's door opening and there was a very husband shaped figure coming towards them with a worried smile. "Did I make you two wait?"

"Yuuri!" He turned to his husband with a huge smile he never tries to fight off. The weak man he is, Viktor practically threw himself into Yuuri's expecting embrace and kissed him.

"No darling, we were talking about Viktor's unusual clothing choices." Chris' easy reply caught Yuuri's attention and he stepped back to check his husband's outfit and what's so unusual about it.

"What about his clothes- Oh."

As Yuuri started to blush so beautifully, his eyes opened more and more to take in what's in front of him. His eyes were taking Viktor in part by part and in that gaze, Viktor felt he became a whole again. "He looks nice in it."

Well, fuck. Viktor was beyond saving.

It seemed that Yuuri remembered their friend's existence as he couldn't keep his gaze on his husband anymore so he smiled awkwardly and told them that he's going to put his bag in the car for tomorrow so they could leave.

While Yuuri was going to their car after taking the keys from Viktor, his friend looked at him with the biggest shit eating grin on his face. "What were you saying, darling?"

"I was saying that it's not a graphic shirt. It's his graphic shirt."

The grin on Chris' face was somehow growing bigger and bigger as the blush he usually doesn't have, not when he's not with Yuuri, was burning his cheeks and ears. Not to confuse it with embarrassment, it was never embarrasment. He was just so, so in love.
