Hades loomed over the giant chessboard sitting in the center of his throne room. If the Lord of the Dead wanted to finally kick Zeus out on his glowing orange keister and take his place as King of the Gods, he was gonna need a new plan with a bit more finesse. Fortunately for him (and unfortunately for everyone else in the cosmos), plotting, scheming, and double-dealing was what Hades did best.

"Hmm, maybe it's time to put Typhon on the board....," Hades mused to himself as he conjured a chess piece carved to resemble the ferocious father of all monsters.

However, as Hades sat the piece down in alignment with the one carved to resemble Zeus, he heard the door open behind him.

"Uh, 'scuse me? I thought I was CRYSTAL clear that I wasn't to be disturbed! AND YOU TWO ARE - "

Hades flared up to a bright orange hue and whirled around, ready to fry Pain and Panic for disturbing him. However, when he saw that it wasn't his minions entering the chamber, he cooled down to his usual shade of blue and regarded the uninvited guest with confusion.

"And what in MY NAME are you doing here?"

Hi, you can call me Demon, or whatever suits you, honestly. I'm a 23-year-old living in the EST zone and I've been roleplaying for roughly 7 years-- and writing for as long as I can remember before that. I am confident in my ability to write in advanced literate, multi-paragraph to novella format and am looking for a roleplay to take up a bit of my free time and challenge my writing ability. ***Please note that I only write with people who are 21+, and prefer MxM pairings.***

I see roleplaying as an art form in its own right; a collaboration between writers to write a story is a wonderful thing to participate in. What’s most important to me is that myself and my partner have fun! English is my first language and what I am most fluent in. My writing is particularly detail-oriented since I write from a place of deep immersion, allowing me to use many sensory details and show the development of my characters. ← ONCE UPON A TIME WAS A LONG TIME AGO →

It’s important to be more than just powerful. Life is an eternal power struggle and one must know how to play the game. If you want to build an empire, you need more than just fear and intimidation skills. You have to know when to turn on the charm and when to be serious. Staying in power is a constant balance between determining what the people need and what they want. Nico Dios understood this better than anyone despite the rough start he had in life. The Dios family was large and prominent. They didn’t come from Walt’s Landing but instead lived on the West Coast. Nico was the youngest of three boys, and his older brothers Zachary and Paul never took it easy on him. 

The Dios family were known to be gifted; Paul, Zachary and their many cousins were all blessed with abilities by a local caster who favored the family. They were all special in what they could do — all but Nico, that is. When the caster took a look at Nico, she did a reading and did not like what she saw. She refused to say what exactly it was and turned Nico away with no explanation. The boy was instantly made the black sheep of his family and was often ignored in favor of Paul and Zachary. They were well known and well liked even though they were assholes with little time for their baby brother. Knowing he was destined for more than being the forgotten outlier, Nico cut ties early on and went out into the world in search for power of his own.

Knowing about the supernatural world gave Nico an advantage. He learned to spot casters, werewolves and vampires and tried to figure out what they liked. Soon, he became a business man in his own right. When he had made enough money to feel financially secure, he bribed a young vampire into turning him before he staked her in the heart so she couldn’t sire him. Knowing he was now formidable, Nico set his sights on home. He had just heard that Zachary had a son and it seemed like the perfect time to strike. When he got there, however, his family was gone without a trace. He searched high and low but there was no sign of them. Returning to the caster who had rebuffed him as a boy, Nico demanded to know if they were dead. The caster remained vague but warned Nico that the only way his family would be found was if Zachary’s son reached adulthood. It was then and there that Nico knew he had to kill the boy before he could bring back Zachary and the others.

With his vendetta against his family forced to simmer, Nico became determined to build an empire. He had no desire to become a politician and play by the rules. Instead, he knew he was better suited for other endeavors. When he heard about a small town named Walt’s Landing that was swarming with supernatural, it seemed like a good place to plant some roots. Nico moved there only to find out that he couldn’t leave. With nothing else to do, Nico laid the groundwork for an establishment that later became known as the Tartarus Club. Walt’s Landing had just undergone a regime change. The vampire Romanov Empire had been toppled by newcomer Otis Boogie who now led the majority of the species. Instead of trying to usurp him, Nico did his own thing. Otis’ Hunter’s Tavern was nearly vampire exclusive, so it made sense to make a place with a wider clientele. As a result, Tartarus became open for anyone with money who needed a little love. Smokey rooms and loud music were filled with beautiful people who were more than willing to give you what you wanted for a price. Nico only hired the best to work for him, and he was a skilled businessman who knew how to work people. The vampire world was highly competitive but Nico was determined to continuously prove that he was a major player.

Even though Otis remained the vampire leader, Nico found a way to get people to pledge allegiance to him. He had a lot to give and began to offer people trades. Usually, it would end up with the other party being heavily in debt to the vampire. The lost souls haunted the dance floor of Tartarus, lured back night after night by things only Nico could offer. For the most part, they were selfish and had only wanted to please themselves. Nico knew the type of person he attracted, and that’s why he was surprised when Megara Katsaros walked through his doors. She wanted nothing for herself. Instead, it was her boyfriend she was looking to save. In all honesty, Nico could barely remember the kid or his debt. He was so taken by Meg’s ferocity and desperation that he decided she was someone who could be of use to him. He offered her a trade: the soul of her boyfriend Adam in exchange for her own. Meg leapt at the chance to save the one she loved. Although Nico usually allowed his trusted advisors to turn people, he personally sired Meg before sending her on her way.  He had one of his men manipulate Adam into breaking Meg’s heart; Nico didn’t feel bad about it as he considered it inevitable. Meg came crawling back hard and bitter, which was just how Nico wanted him.

Having a secret weapon as skilled as Meg turned out to be a very good thing for Nico and he used her whenever he had the chance. He teased her with the idea of her freedom, knowing all the while he’d never let her go. Nico turned out to be incredibly glad to have her when a presumably deceased problem reared its ugly head. After nearly thirty years, Nico had come to believe his nephew, Harrison Dios, had died or gone missing with the rest of the Dios family. Much to the great surprise of Nico, Harrison came strolling into Walt’s Landing as a full grown man who had been gifted by a caster. Remembering the prophecy, Nico knew that Harrison would be the one to find the Dios’ and be his undoing. Determined to stop that from happening, Nico ordered Meg to get close to Harrison. His plan was for her to turn him, which would eliminate the gifts given to him the caster. Once he was without his power, Nico would personally stake him and the entire affair would be over. Meg was angry and didn’t want to, but Nico gave her no choice.

Times are changing in Walt’s Landing. Rumors whisper that Jack Spencer plans on leading a vampire rebellion against Otis Boogie. Otis and Nico have a working agreement and understanding of one another; Jack taking over and making things more ethical would be an issue for Nico. As it stands, he’s not too concerned about Jack. He’s worked hard to build a lasting empire and has an underground of people with loyalty he’s bought. Once Harrison is dead he’ll be able to focus more on the warring vampires. In the meanwhile, he has to wait for Meg to do what she does best. He feels little remorse for his past actions and Tartarus has more damned souls than before. Gods may or may not be real. All Walt’s Landing knows is that Nico Dios is the closest they have to one.

✴ MEGARA KATSAROSsold her soul to Nico because she was stupid and in love. In the time since, Meg hasn’t let him down and her skill has earned her to luxury of handling only his most important jobs. Harrison now falls into that category, and he trusts that Meg will live up to his expectations. Even if she does happen to catch feelings, she belongs to Nico. He’s not afraid to remind her of that fact.

✴ HARRISON DIOS should have vanished with the rest of his family but has somehow reappeared as a gifted human. Harrison is looking for the family he lost but has no idea that Nico is his uncle and wants him dead. Nico’s found him incredibly hard to kill due to the strength that he has as a result of his gifts. Instead, he has to get creative. Megara will do as she’s told and make Harrison weak. After that, Nico can do what he’s waited three decades for.

✴ OTIS BOOGIE is the other vampire leader, but he doesn’t mess with Nico as long as Nico doesn’t mess with him. The two have kept peace by not interfering in each others business; Otis even sends men over to Tartarus from time to time to show people that Nico has an alliance, as feeble as it is.

✴ PARIS and PETER LEWIS are idiots, but they’re loyal and that’s what Nico needs. He considers the two of them to be expendable, which makes his life easier as he doesn’t need to worry about losing his best foot soldiers. The two are the perfect human eyes and ears though to keep him up to date on what’s going on.

✴ TARTARUS has repeatedly proven itself to be a good business venture. There, those who are indebted to Nico dance and drink and dig themselves further into a hole. All of the beautiful dancers he has there may as well be dead spirits circling Hades, and he takes more than a little pleasure on knowing the power it gives him. Anyone can swing by tartarus if they want to make a deal with the devil.

Disney Roleplay.

Hello! I have been wanting to do a Megara x Disney: Hercules Hades roleplay for a while (I would play Megara). I do double rp so I could play as another character from the Hercules film/tv show or another Disney character from another Disney fandom/movie for you! (as long as I'm enough informed about said fandom/character but we can talk it out). I do literate/semi-literate but I like replies being as detailed as possible, I like the slow-burn romance, comedy, angst, drama, adventure... And I want someone who portrays the character accurately please. I am looking for a long term roleplay, and I would like for both to put the same effort when putting new ideas and detail for the plot. I also accept OC's for your side and I can add OC's of my own to make the story more interesting and we can also speak outside the roleplay in a friendly way (refrain from flirting with me in real life, I am only here for roleplaying and hopefully make friends or simply get along, nothing else).
