Do you have head canons for how the different gods laugh?
(Besides Hermes lmao, his bird laugh is as iconic as it is well known💀)
Love your blog!
ABSOLUTELY! Decided to throw in everyone from god games as well as Hades, so this got a lil longer than expected lol. I always love doing these, & the gods are such fun characters that I’m dying to see more of! & of course I bully my faves
& Hermes is so iconic, I love his shrill cackle, that man loves a good laugh & never really holds back!
We also kinda got a canon laugh from Calypso when she giggles right after saying goddesses can’t die. I think she has a very light & airy laugh, almost like the twinkling of a bell. Very cute & feminine
Likewise, we heard a bit of what Aeolus sounds like, but that’s more of a snide, condescending laugh that she likes to use when toying with someone. Her more genuine laugh is higher pitched & more of a giggle
For everyone else, I’m going off of pure vibes
I think Athena tries not to laugh because she has a badass image to maintain, & tbh most of the other gods aren’t that funny, or at least they don’t appeal to her sense of humor. She likes more clever & dry witty comedy, which is probably why Ody’s jokes work well on her. He likes to use a lot of fun word play & his timing & physical comedy is just perfect, & catches her off guard enough to draw out a real laugh. She laughs with her full chest, it’s loud & is honestly such a bright, happy sound, probably because it’s so rare to hear. Much to her chagrin, she snorts when she laughs hard enough. When she’s trying to mask her laugh it gets quicker & higher pitched, & she usually tries to muffle it behind her hand
Apollo’s laugh is pretty similar to Hermes, but it’s a bit deeper & not as erratic & sounds like he has more control over his voice. Idk it probably sounds so pretty & smooth, almost like his laugh alone is a song & more than a few gods accuse him of faking it because it just sounds a lil too “perfect.” If you really get him going tho it does tend to take on a more unhinged & frantic pitch, & it gets real hard to tell the difference between the 2
I just know Hephaestus has a really deep & rich laugh, but he doesn’t laugh often. He’s pretty serious & he doesn’t always get every joke tossed his way, but when he does, it’s this really deep, amused chuckle that slowly gets louder the longer he laughs
Aphrodite has the prettiest laugh, it’s not as high pitched as you’d expect from her & almost has a purr to it, but that could just be her infectious, bubbly giggles
So uh, I love Ares way more than I was expecting to from his part in gg & I’m gonna simp for a sec cause I can. But Ares actually loves to have a good time & let loose! His version of that may look a lil more bloody, but he still enjoys a good time! He can still laugh & tell jokes! So I think he wouldn’t bother holding back & just belts out this deep belly laugh that can make you jump if you’re not expecting it. Funnily enough, I think he also would snort a lot when laughing, so maybe it’s a war god thing lmaoooo. He’s also prone to laugh when he’s sparring or in the middle of a fight, & that’s more of a different sound. He gets this crazed look in his eye & his laugh raises an octave & gets a lil faster until it’s this really menacing, crazed cackling that is just as scary as it is endearing
Hera doesn’t laugh as much as she used to, but when she does, it’s this sly sounding, amused chuckle. Even when she’s being sincere, it lowkey sounds like she’s making fun of you. If something actually gets her going, she’ll throw her head back & her laugh actually sounds authentic, but it still has a more smooth, controlled tone much like Apollo
Now for the big 3
Hades doesn’t laugh much, obvi, but when he does, it’s this really low rumbling from deep within his chest, & you don’t really think he’s laughing until you see his shoulders shaking & notice the smile beneath his beard. But it something’s legit funny, he’ll let out this hearty laugh & lean back & will either hug his stomach or slap a knee
Oh Poseidon, you’re gonna fucking hate me for this. But he usually has this calm, really snide snicker/chuckle he does when he’s mocking someone which is like all the time. It’s such a smug sound you just want to slap the shit outta him because it’s so obvious he’s laughing at YOU! But his real laugh has a rich tenor to it, & is way louder than he’d like. & if something really gets him laughing, it starts to get higher pitched before it starts to morph into more of a bubbly, gurgling sound until it sounds like he’s laughing underwater
It’s no surprise that the thunder bringer himself has a downright booming laugh that can shake the heavens themselves if he really lets himself go, but much like his bitch of a brother, he only really does that if he’s laughing at someone. Otherwise, it’s still really deep & loud, it just doesn’t have as much bass to it. If you listen for it, you can hear claps of thunder when he lets out unbridled belly laughs, & when he’s just chuckling you can hear a buzzing static sound like lightning

Okay, so for my own fanfictions, most of which take place post-TOA and therefore post-Percy "claim your children" Jackson and Jason "honor minor gods" Grace, I made myself a spreadsheet of all the cabins I believe could plausibly be at Camp Half-Blood, and ended up with a whopping 270, and there's probably more dieties whom I couldn't find any information on, and some dieties whom I don't believe would have a cabin (ex. Kronos) (if you think I should add someone comment) and decided to paste it here, since I don't feel comfortable sharing my original spreadsheet. I did add the water dieties, even though their kids could also plausibly go to the underwater camp, but I've decided to give them the option of what camp they want. I also didn't copy their domains, but I have the list from my research, so you can ask if you'd like, I'll be glad to explain! Most of my research was from Theoi Project - Greek Mythology, and Brittanica, and probably some others I've since forgotten, so if you know any good Greek Mythology resourses and books, please share!
Here's some symbols before we begin:
* - virgin goddess. I added them because Athena and Artemis already have cabins (and Athena kids by magical means)
" - Dieties whom have faded in the series. Their cabins are more memorials to them.
Additionally there are 2 dieties named Thalia, (1) Thalia refers to the muse, the goddess of comedies, and (2) Thalia refers to the goddess of festivities and banquet

So that's my list. I don't really have a rhyme or reason for why each number is each, but I did clump together gods with similar domains because that's where they were easiest to find in my research... I honestly think kids of minor gods are very underused in TOA fics, and even in PJO and HOO to an extent. Jillie, my nine year old daughter of Gelus with a contageous laugh? One of my fave OCs.
As for Roman gods and goddess, I'm not as knowledgable, but hopefully I'll make a spreadsheet for plausable godly parents, though unlike CHB it doesn't need to be organized as there's just Cohorts. I don't write Camp Jupiter fics all that often, but it'll be a good resource to have if I choose to.

Five Favorite Characters
Tagged by @bitchesgate3 (Thank you! I usually don’t do these things but I’m amped for this one).
Rules: make a poll with five of your all time favorite characters and then tag five people to do the same. See which character is everyone's favorite.
I feel like I should preface my Five Faves with a few disclaimers, so thanks for your patience. More about why below the cut, but the TLDR is: as someone whose demographic and experience is perhaps waaaay out of step with most of current Tumblr, my choices may reflect that. Whatever; I accepted basic middle-aged normie-dom long ago.
I also may have answered this differently during other parts of my life (see honorable mentions below the cut) but this is how I feel right now. If I'm limited to five, I'll make it one for each decade I've been a fan of anything (film, TV, books, games). That gives me, in 80s-90s-00s-10s-20s order, a vengeful drunk, two old men, and two brilliant women:
Tumblr media
As for tags, well, by the time I discover something it's usually over—so I'm sure anyone I've tagged will have already done this. I hope these folks (and the person who tagged me) won't mind a public shoutout for being kind to, and patient with, someone who can be as awkwardly and frequently out of his depth as often as he posts stuff they like to like. Anyway thanks @alicelufenia @spiderwarden @trappedinafantasy37 @passacalia @coolseabird @n1ghtmeri @mimetoist.
Ok then, lots more favey stuff below:
Tumblr media
Inigo Montoya. Most people know this master swordsman from Mandy Patinkin's portrayal in the Princess Bride film. It's glorious and justifiably loved. But the Inigo from William Goldman's book gets context. Yes, Film-Inigo relates his tragic backstory well enough to squish into the overall plot. But Book-Inigo (and Book-Fezzik, btw) gets a substantially fleshed-out-flashback chapter detailing every excruciating step of his life after its defining trauma. It shows how his whole existence has been warped by enduring and then adjusting to one singular major trauma, and how by both achieving mastery of the rapier and by abusing alcohol he's let that trauma (and by extension, others like Vizzini who capitalize on it) define and control him forever after. I emphasize this to note how much of an anticlimax Inigo endures after he achieves his vengeance. These days I take that as a warning to not get too wrapped up in how I define myself or how I might attach my identity to long-ago trauma.
Tumblr media
Jean-Luc Picard. I love Star Trek and all of its captains. I love Kirk and Sisko and Janeway and Pike and (insert forgotten names here). But I identify with Picard, and it's not just because we both have daddy issues and French names that begin with "Jean-" and both Patrick Stewart and I went almost completely bald in our early 20s. I do like that he's more of a diplomat/explorer than soldier, but that he can still handle himself in a scrap. I love that he's an archaeology and history geek. But I identify most with Picard in his intense and singular commitment to anything he does, and while he may focus on one thing while dealing with it, everything else he's up against has not slipped his mind. He simply places things in a mental queue and methodically tackles them when he can. I'm not a Picard expert so I've probably forgotten why this is, or may have mischaracterized him. I'm too hypersensitive to mimic that iron discipline with which he manages himself. But I do admire it.
Tumblr media
Davos Seaworth. Like many people I have lots of beefs with the world GRRM created for his famous fantasy series. But Davos has stuck with me as a favorite character because of how loyal he is. The reformed smuggler's loyalty to his lord is so strong that it's an actual psychic shield against a witch's magic. It's literal life-fuel when Davos' fleet is destroyed and he's marooned for weeks. It's a mental weapon to parry away a pirate pal's bewildered jibes and proposals of leaving it all behind for a life of plunder. It's the only stable thing in Davos' life, and it's stronger than whomever it's dedicated to, which he learns when he must finally adjust his loyalty and give it to someone else. Rogues survive when they make their old priorities fit new situations, which is what Davos does. Loyalty's a big deal to me, so it's perhaps inevitable that I love a character who epitomizes it. That and these days I also identify with broken-down old guys who've endured weird injuries.
Tumblr media
Hera Syndulla. I caught up with "Rebels" during quarantine and it (with the other Filoniverse stuff) reignited my longtime Star Wars fandom, which had been crushed by the repulsive sequel-trilogy-fandom fights. Hera was a big reason I loved "Rebels." Yes, she's an attractive and intelligent mom-age woman who's brilliant at what she does, with infinite patience for her overly-intense hypersensitive partner—which as an over-40 straight guy was right up my alley. Still, that's a probably-unfair reduction of someone who may indeed be, as io9 once said, "one of the best Star Wars characters of all time." Unflappable leader, expert pilot, loyal friend, caring lover—and someone who will break her own rules when needed. Furthermore, a fantastic and much-needed repudiation of the tired, sexist "all Twi'leks are nubile erotic toys" trope. Oh, and she has daddy issues too, with maybe my favorite touch in anything Star Wars: she reverts to her childhood accent when she gets frustrated with him.
Tumblr media
Minthara Baenre. I haven't simped for a character in any other work the way I do for Minthara. I hadn't switched on a video game for 30 years. When I got back into tabletop RPGs I swore I'd never play D&D as a video game. I'd somehow missed the whole Drizzt-powered drow craze of past decades. And yet here I am, playing with BG3's dress-up dolls and making them kiss. If you've read the above entries, you might see why I find Minthara so compelling. Ride-or-die loyalty to her partner. Knows exactly who she is and what she wants, for better and worse, and won't apologize for it. Wielder and victim of her own passions, to a vengeful degree. Accepts that her flaws may conquer her again, but not for reasons they have in the past. Understands that one's past can inform one's present, but it can also be abandoned as needed. Revels in being hotter than a fireball in Avernus. Deploys her voice as a serrated weapon or soothing balm. My favorite romance in the game.
Honorable Mention. My favorite genre is SF/F, so I've kinda ignored other classic canon characters that I've loved (Odysseus! Mordred! Mercutio! ...Raoul Duke? Eh). So most of my honorable mentions fall within that genre too: Boba Fett and Lando Calrissian (SW: ESB) Donatello (TMNT), Gurney Halleck (Dune), Ro Laren (ST: TNG), Kira Nerys (ST: DS9), Anastasia Dualla (BSG remake), Cassian Andor (SW: R1/Andor), Bo-Katan Kryze (SW: CW/Rebels/Mandalorian), Qi'ra (SW: Solo), Clay Cooper (Kings of the Wyld), Tam Hashford (Bloody Rose), Xiala (Black Sun), Edgin Darvis (Honor Among Thieves), Rhaenys Targaryen (House of the Dragon).
Look at that, only three bards! If you've read this all the way to the end, thanks for the indulgence.

For the star wars fave/least fave thing!
1, 3, 8, and 19?
Ohhhhh, so many questions. I’m excited to get my teef into these!
Favourite/Least Favourite Movie
Someone else beat you to this punch, so just the short answers.
Favourite: Rogue One
Least Favourite: Solo
3. Favourite/Least Favourite TV show episodes.
Omg, I’m not sticking to just one!! I kinda need to break this all down to the different series. Sorry Andor, you get enough love from everyone else that I'm gonna skip over you. And sorry Book of Boba Fett, I haven't invested enough energy to know you better yet to have strong opinions.
The Mandalorian.
Favourites: Yes I’m giving myself two answers here. Firstly, the Foundling. I love seeing how Bo-Katan goes about fitting in with the Children of the Watch, working out how to live their lifestyle, but then also still showing off her natural leadership qualities and her tenacity. Also, we get the shoulder touch. So fucking gay. Inject that straight (queerly) into my veins.
The second fave is The Jedi. I hadn’t watched any of the animation series before Mando S2, and when she came onto my screen, I sat up and paid attention. Ahsoka Tano, my blorbo beloved. I needed to know everything about her after watching that episode. Cue brainrot.
Least Favourite: Probably the Passenger. Felt like another filler episode. The typical “you only get to progress in the storyline if you fulfil this side quest” was growing old on me by this stage. Plus, giant spiders on an ice planet. Ick. No thanks. And Grogu eating the Frog Lady’s babies, UUUGGGGHHHH!!!!!
Ahsoka series.
Favourite: Time to Fly. It gave me tension-filled Sokabine. It gave me Jacen Syndulla. It gave me Ahsoka doing unhinged stuff like going outside her ship in space to fight off attackers. It gave me Sabine’s gay-panic face. It gave me purrgil. It gave me Huyang being an honest arsehole. It gave me Sabine losing a fight to a cup. I’m more than willing to overlook the completely stupid storyline writing for Hera’s subplot for everything else that episode did give me.
Least favourite: Far, Far Away. Not enough Ahsoka in this episode. And no Hera. So that instantly makes me sad. Also Sabine is written so poorly in this (no shade at Natasha for it, she did well for the poor hand she was dealt). Sabine’s smart, and yet all episode she’s just being all “where’s Ezra?” Smart Sabine wouldn't be standing at her prison door, banging on it and yelling about some deal that can't be fulfilled yet anyway because they aren't even on the fkn planet yet. Smart Sabine would be taking in her situation so much better. She'd be finding air vents to sneak into, so that even if she couldn't escape through them, she'd know the layout of the ship for whenever the New Republic might come up to fight against it. She’s be coming up with a plan to get Ezra and herself back home again once she’s let loose or makes a gaol break. She’d be stealing another TIE fighter with decent scanner equipment and faster travel, not being given a cowardly howler to search an entire planet that Ezra’s been hiding on for ten years on foot. They did her intelligence a massive disservice this episode. Also wasn’t a fan with how contemptuous they made Thrawn of Baylan and the Jedi in general. Chiss culture has a certain reverence for Force-wielders, and even though Kanan and Ezra were the enemies of Thrawn throughout Rebels, he always showed a level of respect towards them. Actually, Thrawn was pretty poorly written for the whole damn show. Bring Tim Zahn to the table to write the character properly, I beg you.
The Clone Wars
Favourite: The Phantom Apprentice. NGL, the last half of season seven of The Clone Wars was peak Star Wars. Fight me. But with this episode in particular, that fight sequence between Ahsoka and Maul, the dialogue leading up to it, the tension and shadow hanging over the entire episode? Perfection. It makes me believe Anakin’s fall so much more, in that Ahsoka’s absence from the events of The Revenge of the Sith speaks more to Anakin’s emotional isolation and manipulation to turn on the Jedi.
Least favourite: Can’t really say a particular episode. There were a number of filler ones that I just yawned through. There was one that focused on Anakin and Padme’s relationship, that was probably my least enjoyable. I get that their relationship was toxic/fucked up/doomed to fail, I don’t want to see more of it. Gives me the ick.
Rebels
Favourite: Twilight of the Apprentice. I get Maul back. Ahsoka is a badass. Kanan is a legend. I cry like a bitch at the end of it. But Ahsoka’s not actually dead either. Wins all round for me.
Also, Hera’s Heroes. Where we get a real introduction to Thrawn. I love his assessment of her. The respect, the admiration, that he has for his enemy. How he sees her as a worthy opponent.
“War, it's all you've ever know, isn't it? You were so young when you survived the Clone Wars, no wonder you're as equipped in spirit to fight as well as you do. War is in your blood. I studied the art of war, worked to perfect it, but you? You were forged by it.”
Gives me shivers. I really hope they do future Thrawn vs Hera justice in upcoming movies/shows, but I know I shouldn’t hold my breath…
Least favourite: Jedi Knight. It was an amazing episode. I don’t think I’ve watched any Star Wars (with perhaps the exception of Rogue One) that’s managed to pull such unexpected emotion out of me. And for that reason, I cannot bring myself to watch it again. I dunno. Maybe one day when I’m feeling emotionally robust. RIP Kanan. You deserved such a heroic death, but you also deserved to live. Fuck you, Governor Pryce.
8. Favourite/Least Favourite Concept
Favourite: That the Force is in everyone. (Yes, even you!) It frustrates me that fandom miss the point of there being a difference between Force-wielding and Force-sensitivity. Anyone can use the Force, but those who are selected to train as Jedi from a young age have a natural ability to wield it, because if you don’t have that natural ability, tapping into it and wielding it is hard. Even those with natural aptitude for the Force find it hard! Ezra Bridger? Force sensitive. Had the abilities from a young age, and just required mentorship/guidance on how to best connect with and use them. Sabine Wren? She has the Force sensitivity of a sandwich. She is not Force-sensitive. Which is why Kanan didn’t ‘pick up on Sabine’s Force sensitivity’, because she didn’t have any! She was just a stubborn woman who decided she wanted to try the seemingly impossible and found a master who was unhinged enough as her to try it too. I think a lot more people could use the lesson from her story, about persistence, patience and hard work paying off. Anywho, end rant there.
Least favourite. That ‘falling to the dark side’ is somehow freeing/a good thing/something to strive for. I hate how they made Osha Aniseya seem like she’d achieved some kind of ‘enlightenment’ from having just killed her father figure, abandoning her sister to have her memory wiped, and teaming up with some attractive stranger who had just murdered a bunch of her friends. It wasn’t enlightenment. It was manipulation. STFU.
19. Favourite/Least Favourite Outfit
Favourite: Live-action Ahsoka’s outfits. Yes, even that poncho that hides her gorgeous deltoids from view. It looks so damn cosy. I love that those outfits give those tiny, tantalising hints of skin whilst still being modest and practical. They’re minimalistic in a way a Fulcrum operative would be, but with some random personal touches that we don’t fully understand yet (Like those beads at her belt. Are they meant to be her old padawan braid? Or Sabine’s padawan braid? Are they just rhythm beads? It’s anyone’s guess at this stage!) But mostly, she just looks comfortable. And since owning both the Adidas wrestling shoes from her white outfit and the Tabi shoes from her dark one, I can attest that they are so damn comfortable whilst also feeling like I could run over any terrain or kick some bad guys’ butts. I’m totally here for it.
Also, Mother Aniseya’s outfit. There’s just so much damn detail to that garb. The fabric. The layers. I love it. Also looks like it would be a cosplayer’s nightmare.
Least favourite: This is probably going to get me cancelled, but I must speak my truth. Leia’s first outfit, the white robe. The "Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi" one. It looks like a bedsheet. There. I said it. I don’t mind the whole idea of a plain white dress that covers her up, I just hate whatever fabric they used. How it hangs. Just screams worn-out bedsheet. And fuck trying to keep that thing clean.
Also, the padawan boob-tube. ‘Soka, babes. Just no. This isn’t Friday night discoteca. This is the military. Put your teenage midriff away and go find yourself something with pockets. You’ll need them.

top 5/10 (up to you) favorite SW ships? 👀
oh sissi i absolutely LOVE this question!! 💕 in no particular order (except for maybe the first one actually being my fave lol):
kanera (kanan/hera; rebels). they're everything to me <3 i could list all the reasons why but we'd be here all day!
the firebrand polycule (avar/elzar/stellan; the high republic). yes, i've only had them for 2 months. yes, they've already made me this insane <3
rebelcaptain (jyn/cassian; rogue one). i mean, you already know! it's about the trust when they've spent so long not letting themselves get close to anyone. it's about the mirror, seeing themselves in the other. it's about the "welcome home." it's about there not being enough time. and so on and so on.
hanleia (scoundress??) (han/leia; OT). i've loved them since i first watched the movies as a kid, and i still love them now. good ol, "he fell first, she fell harder," and i'm simply not immune to it!
velcinta (vel/cinta; andor series). i miss them, when will they return to us 😭 one of the things that compels me most about them is just the adoration and admiration they clearly have for one another. they're so soft around each other in a time period and galaxy that is incredibly harsh. like it would probably be easier to not be together, so that the cause can always come first, but they choose to love each other anyway.
ask me my top 5/top 10 anything!

For whatever fandom you feel like chatting about:
💖: What is your biggest unpopular opinion about the series?
💚: What does everyone else get wrong about your favorite character?
💕: What is an unpopular ship that you like?
I choose.... STAR WARS!! Thanks for the ask! 😁
💖 Ohhoh man. My BIGGEST unpopular opinion is that Yoda has Issues. Now I don't think he is evil or anything, but the little troll has some problems I think 😂 He was maybe a good Jedi, but I don't think he needed to be GrandMaster of the Order. Also I think he needed to take that Clone Was season 6 soul searching vacation a liiiiiittle sooner. And then in Empire Strikes Back he was bonkers lol
💚 Gahhhh my favorite character is a hard one because I love so many characters so much. Obi-Wan is probably my fave though, so something everyone gets wrong about him...
This is going into headcanon territory. You have been warned.
The Deception arc of the Clone Wars. A lot of people hate him for the way he handled that, and I agree that he should have handled it better. But I also think he covered for the Jedi Council when he told Anakin that the not telling him thing was his idea. Personal theory.
💕 Unpopular ship! Unpopular ship!
....I dunno if I have one. Oh! Plo Koon and Shaak Ti! They love each other and adopted all the Clones. True story
My other favorite ships are Leia/Han, Obiwan/Satine, Cassian/Jyn, Luke/Mara, Kanan/Hera, Padmé/Anakin and maybe a few others I forgot.

Oh! You're in the star wars fandom!
What's your favorite movie? And do you have a fave character/ship?
don't have a specific movie out of the main ones but i really like the 3d clone wars movie just bc it's so bad but so good but so bad and so funny but so bad it's good. if i had to pick a live action movie, i personally loved the solo movie (i say, as i am suddenly booed and restrained by 37 guards and dragged off the stage)
i don't have a specific character that i like but i personally really enjoy din djarin, kanan jarrus, padme amidala, fennec shand, and hera syndulla 🫶 some ships i really like are dinluke, anidala, and barrisoka. i probably have more characters and ships i like but i'm kinda blanking out rn lmao
thank you for asking, but if you'd like to talk to me about star wars, please go follow my side blog @darlin-djarin !!

Book Club: Trials of Apollo series (1, 2, 3) by Rick Riordan
part 3 of camp halfblood chronicles! I'm done with this man lol I don't want to keep reading
So I happily went off to read fanfiction after finishing Heroes of Olympus and I got caught off-guard by a cute little spoiler :) and I was like "no way is this canon right? it's not canon right?" but I was too spooked to keep reading fanfiction. I could not be at peace. I had to start the next series. So I went and did that
and goddamn idk what it is about this series but it's such a drag. I don't particularly like Meg or Apollo (I think Meg is interesting, but I'm not particularly attached, and I can see when Apollo is meant to be funny, but I'm not amused) and I'm just not drawn into the story. I also somehow feel like it moves simultaneously faster and slower than the other books? Like I feel like I'm moving through molasses trying to get through the story, but when I reached the end of the book I was like "Wait, that's it?"
So on one hand I think Apollo's memory/knowledge is handled brilliantly and it adds tension without feeling like a straight up nerf. I also think Meg's backstory is SO interesting and I'm totally curious to learn more about her. But on the other hand... I'm so bored LMAO
I think Calpyso totally saved book 2 simply because I love her <3 She and Apollo are literally so funny together. I also think the drama of like, trying to save the little girl (I'm so sorry I already forgot her name) was really good? This one was way more interesting than the first one. But I feel like I was also just interested because my faves (I also love Leo btw I just didn't say his name) were back and less so bc the story was more interesting to me lol
anyways book 3. I'm salty about this one!! very very salty!!!!! So first I found out my faves (Piper and Jason) have BROKEN UP and then my fave (Jason) DIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so upset about this one fr ToT HOW COULD JASON DIE????? HE HAD SO MUCH LEFT TO DO!!!!!! anyways the tension was really cool except I'm MAD that he died ToT like literally that's my big takeaway from this book.... Jason died............ I'm like extra mad because I just don't think things got wrapped up well for him!! Like I mentioned in the Heroes of Olympus post but his Roman/Greek conflict thing was soo interesting and I really don't think it was in any of the other charas so I was looking forward to see it expanding. I also thought his promise to Kymopoleia was going to be amazing and I got so excited seeing his little monopoly houses :( and then... you're telling me he's gone..... :((((
I kind of wonder if the Jason and Piper thing gets explained more because in my opinion it came out of absolutely! nowhere!!! so I just went and read some discussion/saw some spoilers about it and I'm just like :/ damn. I think like with all of the facts together and Hera/Juno's influence and how it felt like it was forced on them then then yeah it does make sense that they broke up :/ but like someone commented, I'm upset because the narrative didn't treat it like that! I'm just like really sad bc all of that happens offscreen and we don't get to see it happening and plus I totally thought they worked through the false memories (cough 6 months between Lost Hero and the argo II sailing cough!!). I think I could accept it if I saw hints of it but it totally blindsided me and THEN Jason just dies???? like ugh :( also I was shook when I was googling and I found out people didn't like him ToT he's always been my one of my faves lol :'D
Anyways I borrowed book 4 and I'm like a fifth of the way through I think? But it's been like a week at least and I'm tired and I've moved on so I'm going to take a break and maybe (probably not) come back to it another time. I'm curious how it ends/what happens but not curious enough to keep going. I am totally cut up over Jason and I'm too salty LMAO

✨feat. the second of four “interlude” comics!✨ **whereas ackshuallyyyyyy from here this one and the next two are loosely consecutive with each other!! uh oh is that… a short sTORY approaching…????👀👀👀👀
we are flashbacking back to when Pasi & Hypnos were newly engaged or uh, in the process of it! sssssssSssSSo sometimes one has to consider the lesser of two evils, in which option one is what is sure to be a less than stellar encounter but option two could be Getting Pentheus’ed so like. ACK! Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiineeeeeee i GUESSS ugHHhhHhh. man having famous TM olympian parents is a whole nother horrific level ;((
notes about this little oneshot of a page!
Pasi loves her sisters but they were and are unfortunately much more olympian-brained than she ever was, even still to this day
haha fun little wink wink up there with that offhanded mention of Hera bc the actual non Elysiumed myth of how Hypnos and Pasithea were able to get married is one of my faves and also ABSOLUTELY at least loosely canon to the Elysiumverse lmfaooooo (*loosely bc - is this timeframe really happening parallel to the Trojan war uhhhh I do NOT know about that like. PROBABLY NOT??? but. the detail gist at least shhhhhh.)
fun fact this page was one of the first things I drew from aAAALLL of these pics and it was 1) when i was still deluding myself into thinking all these would be quick and scribbly so oops and 2) long before I decided to make a font to use so PLS excuse these speech bubbles lmao
interlude 3 comes directly next so stay tuned! hype hype hype. all these versions of these guys are mine or whatever shsh etc

Favorite Fandom & Favorite Character From That Fandom (You Can List More Than One)
oh man, this is a fun question. I'm guessing you mean more than one character, but I could probably also make a list of my fave fandoms generally (but I think anyone can guess what they'd be lmfao). Anyway, I'm picking Star Wars because....well, how could I not? I may hate the experience of being in the fandom more often than not, but I've met all my dearest friends, my two queerplatonic partners, and made a found family all thanks to my love for these movies.
My favorite character is, to the shock and surprise of no one on the planet, Poe Dameron. Not even just of Star Wars but generally, generally speaking Poe is my favorite character. But my other favorite SW characters include Leia, Rey, Lando, Hera, Artoo, and BB-8. Anakin, too, when he isn't annoying me and in my mental cat house. Zorii, also, probably counts as some kind of blorbo but hell if I know what kind.

brings you a fruit platter XD 🍑 & 🍈 & (blueberries - can't find the emoji, but ur fave underrated thing to write about in ur fandoms)
🍑 —If you could make a connection between your favorite character and another work you care about (whether a crossover/fusion or a wonderfully “pretentious” literary reference) what would it be? How would it work?
Hmmm this is a tough one because I honestly don’t do/think of crossovers very much? I rly like working within a piece n finding things to expand on inside it. I may unfortunately have to go w the boring answer of I probably wouldn’t JNDBDBD It’s not like I don’t read stuff either but I’m not exactly a literature man in my passions as reading takes a lot of brain power, so idrk any quotes or overarching things id try to tie in? This is honestly kinda interesting to me on its own that I just. Don’t have anything. But ig that’s just how it is fhdhdjbd I’m not rly a crossover or references dude I suppose.
Maybe something with Miguel/2099 stuff and Terry from Batman Beyond? Somth ab future versions of characters n legacies n Terry’s thing of helping an older roughened guy care ab ppl again, and the fact that he had spiderman inspo in his making, idk. But that’s more just a musing more than anything serious.
🍈 —Who’s your blorbo and what are some of your favorite headcanons/ideas about them that repeatedly show up in your fics? Free pass to rant about blorbo opinions
I have many n don’t have one (I have a super hard time with single favorite characters) so I will not be giving all of them n just give some rapid fire thoughts from across the board.
I love trans Miguel O’Hara and Gwen Stacy esp from the spiderverse movies as I think those readings of them are a very thematically appropriate and fascinating way to explore them, and I love trans people
Comics Steven from MK paints the body’s nails and gets them regular manicures/pedicures/hair care treatments, etc n has an extensive collection of Bath and Bodyworks soaps and scrubs and lotions. They also have semi-sensitive skin and he’s very aware of ingredients and what will work for them
Hera w359 is aLso such a trans woman to me there is so much ab the self and holding it and creating it and breaking from the miles people tell you to stay in and finding the humanity in yourself and creating a new sense of self outside of programming and the literal voice someone forced you to have. I love her so dearly and aUGGH
Show!Steven from MK has a record player and is very careful about taking them out of the sleeves, but not careful about how they end up stacked up. Jake does CDs. Marc downloads random tracks onto their phone or only listens via YouTube (not YouTube music just looking up on YouTube)
🫐—What’s your favorite underrated thing in your fandom? (A ship that only you seem to write for, a character there’s almost no fics about, a trope that criminally hasn’t been written yet, etc.)
Well this isn’t rly underrated bc stuffs still kicking off but if someone hasn’t already, a timeloop fic for ATSV Miguel would slap absolute ass. I’m also on the (sort of but also not always?) rare train of genderqueer jake, and ofc the very rare train of some-flavor-of-transfem Marc. Also love non binding and non top op trans men/mascs and would lOve to see that around more. I’m also someone who does a lot of inhuman body exploration which while not uncommon in the big scheme I find a way to work into a lot of my headcanons for characters at some point and can be a huge draw (like to Ted n Jack from wwbn, the MK sys with weird Khonshu body effects and differing levels of human connection, or Miguel w his many mutations n differing levels of spider ppl connection).
Send me a fruity writing ask!

Ayana, she is.
Hey, everyone! Here are few things to know about her. She goes by the name Ayanamira Dracarys— Ayana, Draca or Arys for short, but she welcomes any nickname that floats your boat if you're planning to give her one. Her prefered pronouns are SHE/HER and worry not— she's already on her legal age!
Another thing to summarize about her: she proudly identifies herself as an ISFP and her astrological sign includes a moon in Cancer. She's also a cheerful and friendly person herself, so please, do not hesitate to hit her up if you feel like you want to get closer with her! (Feel free to talk about anything).
Her Likings.
Her interests kinda switch from time to time but few activities that she often enjoys these days are watching movies or TV series and reading books. Quick TMI, she has been OBSESSING over Murakami’s “Kafka On The Shore,” and Emily Henry's “Happy Place” lately and for her, those books are beyond the word beautiful itself. If you happened to read those books, she would make great company to engage in conversation with!
Oh, she also puts her interests in a lot of music genres! Most of them are Alternative-Rock, R&B, Pop and K-Pop musics. She's a big fan of CHASE ATLANTIC, Taylor Swift, NIKI and if it's K-Pop, STRAY KIDS and ENHYPEN are her current faves lately! Not to mention, how she's been obsessing over the-man-so-called Nishimura Riki. {heart eyes}
Before you follow,
She's really selective in following people, so, please, DO NOT follow first unless you both know each other or she gave you consent beforehand. She'd talk mostly in English/Bahasa and she will probably tweet bunch of random stuff contains things that she loves to talk about. Sometimes, she will probably gonna use minor harsh words while interacting with her closest ones, so if one day she makes mistake and crosses the line, please educate her personally through DM.
