Kwahu carried his new ward to her lovingly constructed bedroom and fed her some of our yak's milk. No more lattes for a little while, sorry boys. You understand how it is.

I made an oc so I could give nora a name

The only character interaction I have for them so far:

Every Shinki of Tajimamori knows how to make sweets. As Amatsuyu is the newest addition to Tajimamori's clan, she took it upon herself to teach the girl how to make some dango.

Tajimamori, looking at the mishapened dango: My, I've never seen anyone be this bad at shaping balls.

Amatsuyu: (visibly sulking)

Tajimamori: (sees that Amatsuyu is sulking, takes one dango and pops it in her mouth) but it tastes good.

Amatsuyu: you're just saying that to make me feel better.

Tajimamori: (as she is giving back the dango) have you tried it yet? Taste it for yourself.

Amatsuyu: (eats the dango) it doesn't look good though.

Tajimamori: they all look the same once they come out of the other end.

Amatsuyu: you didn't have to point that out.

Tajimamori: I didn't. Did you enjoy the dango?

Amatsuyu: it's a dango, it's nothing special.

Tajimamori: it doesn't have to be special. Did you enjoy it?

Amatsuyu: ... I did. I didn't enjoy making it.

Tajimamori: Get used to it, all my Shinki has to at least know how to make a dango. Otherwise I can't call myself the god of sweets!

Amatsuyu: ...Do I get to eat them?

Tajimamori: you get to eat as much sweets as you like.

Tajimamori keeps Amatsuyu close to her all the time, partly because she is dangerous but also, Amatsuyu is one of the few shinki's she has that is battle appropriate.

I just want her to have a name. Considering how much Kofuku loves Daikoku I felt like it makes sense why Nora wasn't named by her. We understand why Nora is the way she is but we also can't ignore the very real threat that she possesses that she had used against them before.

So I made an oc to give her a name!

I did wonder what name Kofuku might give her lol.

大緋- Haruhi, it uses the clan name (大) and the name Yato gave her (緋)

The downside is, obviously, it's not pronounced with 'dai' I dunno if 'daihi' is an acceptable reading.

The other options I have is literally any other feminine name with (大) that is read 'dai'

#her colors is just dango. caramel and candied apple.#noragami oc #noragami #noragami nora #ahhhh she should have an official name! i get that since one of her pains is thinking that she's an unwanted baby #the new perspective that Hiyori gave her. that her parents must have thought about names they might give their daughter #is a ray of hope or something. it's also kinda nice because all her other names from before. you can argue that one of those names-#might have been what her parents wanted her to have. it's like flipping the script. changing perspectives #and it's awesome of hiyori to have done that for her. but I want her to have a name #so I'm making someone who can give her a name #oh yeah! kine is that giant wooden hammer for pounding rice. you usually see this in those mochi making videos #i want her to have a name because... what do I call her? she hates being called nora. and as someone had pointed out calling someone nora #is like calling someone a whore. I don't like calling her nora #but hiiro is canceled. eyami (and it's also a bad name to give a child) is cancelled. tsutsumi the only other acceptable name is canceled #i dunno how she feels about mizuchi considering that it's both the name that gave her life and the name trashdad gave her #i'd like her to have a name please! something I can call her easily and more 'official'#like how all the other nora has a name people call more often (Yukine not hagusa. kazuma not kazune)

oh my god my wife’s dad has always been weird about them being polyam, like the gay thing is one thing and the trans thing he could ignore but he did not understand polyam and did not want to. but this year he addressed the christmas card to all three of us - including using my wife’s chosen name - and the card design itself was something about a messy, full home being better than an empty, clean home. so that’s definitely a purposeful message and i’m so so happy for my wife that their dad’s come around 😭😭😭😭

things get better. my best friend in the world got top surgery after us talking about it for years. i'm getting mine next year. i have genuine friends now who teach me everyday what love looks like. love looks like going to an arcade and talking for hours at the bar instead. love looks like planning road trips to our hometowns. love looks like choosing our regalia colors together. love looks like learning our language. love looks like compression binders. love looks like top surgery scars. love looks like sweet grass tattoos.

So i was looking into the canon romworld lore and, learning that spaceships cant do any warp speed travel bc they never developed it immediately had me thinking of mechi and his sister :(. Like, i'm just imagining the angst of mechi going home with kwahu, thinking its only been like 10 years and its actually been 100 or something bc cryosleep.... could definately be a reason why the two would go for the ideology or anomoly ending

Yeah, it would make for a very heartbreaking story if Yamka wasn't every bit as stubborn and reckless as her brother. She followed him all the way to the Rim and dragged their parents along as well. They're on the planet somewhere, but as Mechi and Kwahu aren't particularly inclined to build hotels for interaction with other factions, it may take us a long time to encounter them (if we ever do).

I'm sure Mechi imagines that their reunion will begin with a long-awaited hug, but Yamka is absolutely going to punch him first. She was not happy that he decided to go galavanting about the galaxy without her, and she'll probably be torn between yelling and crying when (if) they do meet again. Mechi will be suitably chastened, I'm sure. Maybe Kwahu, too, even though he technically never did anything wrong.

So awhile ago I started writing a Lois and Clark (Superman show from the 90s) and Invincible cross over, and though my brain has checked out on it too much for me to ever think I'll write enough of it to post the fic- it did get me thinking about something.

Mainly, Nolan meeting Clark's parents and deciding to adopt Jonathon Kent as his father. Given the guy's whole storyline, I don't think I've ever seen any meta about him wondering about his own parental relationships. The show gave us a tidbit that was not present in the comics which arguably alters SO MUCH about the guy, but at the end of the day I can't help but wonder how having a father figure would alter Nolan as a person.

Plus I just think it would be super funny.

Nolan: You are my father now : )
