If you know anything about music, you know the current trends. Pop and Rap is what the current generation likes, with a few outliners. From the very beginning, Y/n seemed to be one of them as well. Her first release, 'A Sailor's Wish', has been trending along with 'Solas', by her fellow artist Jamie Duffy for many weeks.

Her other composed pieces never hit the same numbers, that was until she released a full album. 'Definitions' has 26 original composed pieces, mixed with piano and full orchestra. It's an album full of masterpieces, fully deserving the high praise it has been receiving the past few days.

Every piece in the Album is named after a rare word, each one of them beginning with a letter of the Alphabet. Most of them were composed by Y/n herself, her signature moves regognizable, if you're familiar with her music. If you wish to read a full analysis of the whole album, click here.

Notable, besides the mindblowing compositions, are also the featured artists. We have Adrian Berenguer, Charles Leclerc and Jamie Duffy- each of them well known in their niche. What has raised eyebrows however, is that unlike Adrian and Jamie, Charles himself. He's an athlete, a Formula One driver in fact and very well known. While his fans knew about his releases, singles and even an album with Sofiane Pamart, no one was prepared for the partnership with Y/n.

Especially the titles of the pieces, two of them speaking about love, one is even titled as 'Leman', which means lover. Are these two trying to give us hints?

Beside that, five of the 26 pieces are currently in the charts, having already gathered millions of streams within days. Absolutely mindblowing!

Athena: Demonstration. She's a practical goddess, so she won't just SAY she love you. She needs to give indisputable proof that she can take to court and win a case with. After the 1000th time she gets someone their favorite books and/or weapon, she thinks it's pretty obvious. If you get a new blanket or sweater from her, she really loves you. She never even has to (shudder) hug someone.

Ares: Protection. Does somebody need a skull bashed in? No? Well...it might happen anyway if he thinks that it'll keep his loved ones safe. It's a little scary, but it's really coming from a good place. If he knows someone's going to be in a dangerous place, he just sorta becomes a shadow that they can't shake. (He'd secretly love to give hugs, but the last time he tried with someone who wasn't Aphrodite, it was misinterpreted and he got punched. [cough cough] Blame a sibling)

Demeter: Gifts. She will load somebody up with baskets of her best harvest. You seriously don't know if she loves you or wants you to pop from overeating, but it's the former. The harvest is really pretty too. Only the ripest of everything. Persephone has learned to hide apples in her sleeves so that it still looks like it's all been eaten.

Aphrodite: Everything. Just everything. She uses words of affirmation, gifts, physical affection, etc. Her favorite is definitely physical, though, so whether it's romantic or platonic, EVERYBODY is getting hugs and at least a kiss on the cheek. She does not care if she gets chased down because of this. It's worth it. :D

Hades: Goes outside. Now, that might seem minor, but actually getting him to leave the Underworld for minutes, nay, HOURS at a time is a feat. That's the fastest way for somebody to know they're loved by him. He doesn't even look at his watch or seem fidgety.

Apollo: Free medical advice. Sooo much. Do you know how much blood or ichor you can lose within a 48-hour period before losing consciousness? You. Will. You'll also know about health advice like what foods are best for your diet. (P.S. this is why all the junk food got swapped out for fruits and veggies)

Hestia: Food. Specifically, the food that the loved one wants. She doesn't care how elaborate it is and will bake up a storm. Each layer is an extra piece of love. It's why there's a cake the size of the Eiffel Tower somewhere around here.

Hermes: Travel. He'll fly his loved ones places to make it faster trips. It's always a little dangerous, but luckily, most of the loved ones are immortal. So, his attempt to get them places at break-neck speed will not actually break their necks. For the mortals...it's the thought that counts.

Hephaestus: Repairs. He does this to the point of also making new things. On a related note, he breaks into ' homes so that he can do the repairs. Now, there are a bunch of inventions all over the place that no one has rooms for.

Zeus: Quality time. He's not even thinking about all those cuties he saw the other day...much. Still, that's a really big improvement and him mostly giving his undivided attention is how he shows his love. Of course, he's probably spending this time talking about himself, but he's paying attention to someone else while he's talking about himself. Progress!

Artemis: She's a stray cat. She hunts, then brings carcasses over. Nobody really wants a bunny head on their bed. Some even cry a little when that happens, but hey, at least it means they’re loved.

Poseidon: Horseback rides. On him specifically. They always think he's going to let them have a nice time sailing. Nope, he prefers this. They sort of think it's weird, but they try to not complain when he goes full mane and tail on them.

Lin's love languages: physical touch, quality time, and acts of service

Growing up with Toph, I think everyone can definitely agree that Lin enjoys receiving and giving physical touch to show affection, support, comfort, and love. Simply focusing on her relationship with Tenzin and how this plays out, touch also helps her feel grounded. Bad day at work where she lost a colleague or she faced a lot of criticism from the press? First thing Tenzin does is give her a hug, and just being in that embrace grounds her back to reality and also soak in the love and protection of her partner.

Also, when she cuddles Tenzin, sometimes it's super aggressive bc CAN'T. GET. CLOSE. ENOUGH. TO. HER. BOYFRIEND (or husband 😍) She's wearing a tanktop and some shorts, while Tenzin is shirtless. Lin has her legs around him too so he can't escape. But he's a fucking heater, so after a while she needs some space to cool off lol

Second love language would be quality time. Toph was really busy with work, leaving Lin and Su to fend for themselves more often than they should have. I feel that since she didn't have that with her mom, it becomes something she values in her relationships with others. This only solidifies as Lin and Tenzin grow up and become involved in their careers. Their jobs take so much of their time, and they need those days of simply being together or going on quiet dates. Luckily, they have similar outlooks on how they want to spend their time together. Plus, the world and especially RC is so nosy on their relationship and business, that they just want to be together in peace. I like to imagine that they have conversations sometimes about what kind of life they would like to live if they weren't who they were. Tenzin would say living quietly in the countryside as a farmer...Lin would joke he can be a cabbage farmer. Lin would say that there's no use in thinking about a different life bc what else can they do to change it? Nothing. But her answer might be a pro-bending coach.

Lastly, she values acts of service. I think Toph instilled in her the idea that words don't mean anything. Actions speak volumes. Lin is a protector and will take the bullet for anyone she cares about. I feel like the line between protector and taking care of others' needs can get blurry with her. When Tenzin is stepping up for her and taking care of her, she's gonna protest, but inside, she appreciates it so much. She has the difficulty of learning how to allow others to take care of her, but Tenzin knows.

Overall, her love languages to receive/give are mostly the same.

Now, we move on to...

Tenzin's love languages: words of affirmations, quality time, and physical touch

Tenzin has a different dynamic going on because he has this title: airbender. For him, he has this luxury of being "spoiled" or "adored" by the world, but the other side of the sword is that he must deal with the crippling responsibility of "reviving the Air Nation and continuing Aang's legacy." I can imagine he would hear compliments, receive facors and gifts due to his connection to Aang and also being the first airbender born in...a long time. All of those things always felt superficial to him, so it doesn't hold as much meaning for him. Also with receiving gifts, his culture teaches to detach from earthly materials anyway.

Words of affirmation: He might appreciate this to some extent. Tenzin needs a lot of verbal validation, especially since he is insecure about how he's continuing his dad's legacy (if we follow canon). Lin may not be lovey-dovey with her words, but she knows how to support and comfort him by telling him what he needs to hear.

Lin: Tenz...of course you are good enough. You are more than enough. So what if you can't get into the spirit world? Do I love you less? Tenzin: No. Lin: Exactly. I love you regardless.

On the other hand, Tenzin is amazing at giving words of affirmation. Reading all of those ancient scrolls makes him a pretty smart cookie and helps him talk smoothly. Except when he tried to ask out Lin on a date for the first time...that was...mind went blank and somehow she ended up dating him. In general, he enjoys showering Lin with loving words all the time. People can be cruel, the press is merciless at times and that weighs on Lin, and she might not have the best record of speaking highly on herself very likely. If no one else is going to tell her she's beautiful, loved, powerful, fierce, and enough...who else will? Tenzin will gladly work overtime to make sure Lin hears his millionth poem about how much he loves her and adores her.

His second love language is quality time, and I think it's for the similar reasons as Lin. Although, I think he spent a lot of time with people growing up, but felt very alone. He wasn't seen for himself, but rather his bending. Lin knows and loves him for who Tenzin is. Spending time with Lin also helps him get a reality check because he tends to be more coddled by people than her.

Lin: You can't just force people to become air nomads, Airhead. Tenzin: But they're airbenders now! They need to be part of our nation, who wouldn't want to? Lin: Tenzin...do you hear yourself? The acolytes started out as groupies. They became acolytes on their own volition. These are people who have their own identities. You can't just force them to give up everything they know for YOU.

Lastly, physical touch. I think he grew to enjoy giving/receiving physical affection especially when he started developing feelings for Lin. The added layer to this love language is that it reminds him that Lin is alive and with him. She's breathing, unharmed, and safe in his arms. Her job is so dangerous and she's constantly putting herself on the line. He's had nightmares of losing her and just being able to hold her while they sleep? Never letting go.

as silly as it sounds, Elentari was one of those OCs who just mentally kicked the door down and announced herself like, "hi. I'm here now. this is my name, this is what I look like, now write about me." that said, I take a fair bit of inspiration from the goddess Persephone in the "goddess of spring" and "queen of the Underworld" sense—this idea of Ellie as a gentle, soft-spoken healer who wears flowers in her hair but can be ruthless and incredibly deadly when she sees the need. there's also definitely something of my beloved Eowyn, Daenerys Targaryen, and Sansa Stark in the mix!

to me, Elentari is a big ol' demi! she's one of those people who somehow manages to be very warm and generous without letting many people in past her walls, so it takes a lot for her to actually fall for someone. as for a love language, while she'll certainly blush for the right words (and can totally reciprocate), she's a big fan of giving and receiving gestures that speak without words at all—a hand-embroidered gift, something fresh-baked, someone there when needed, favours done, a weight eased. this goes for friends, too! 🥰

for most of his life jake has been on teams, and even though he’s a man of little words he’s always secretly enjoyed being around his friends in general. surprisingly, he hates being by himself, there’s just something about the silence he doesn’t like. so, when he met giggles (who’s clingy beyond belief) it was like he found his fix. he’ll always have her around to the point that he’ll kick the other guys out of the locker rooms so she could sit in there while he gets changed. his favorite thing though, is the late night hotel adventures. he knows he has a match the next morning & he definitely knows he should be getting sleep but he stays up with her just so they can hang out in the empty lobby together while they build a lego set she bought

Clint’s love language is definitely words of affirmation. Having grown up hearing the worst of the worst tumble out of his drunk foster father did not do wonders for his self esteem. He puts on a big show of acting like he’s hot shit but really he got that negative self esteem train going about eighty percent of the time. His sarcastic shit eating grin and the Im-gods-gift-to-Shield swagger is all a cover. So, when Nat comes around and compliments his work he preens like a peacock. Who knew the words “I’m impressed Barton” could give him a semi? He sure as hell didn’t. He’s definitely got a bit of a praise kink which Natasha most definitely abuses in the most debauched ways possible. Non-sexually Natasha praises Clint with affectionate compliments noting his strong arms, his kindness and how cute he is when he grins at her with that dopey “I done good” grin. One time Clint heard Natasha defending a controversial action during a mission to Director Fury and Phil, and ended up dragging her into a janitorial closet just because. He of course lavishes her with praise ten-fold which she of course loves and appreciates.

Clint’s other love language is touch. Which he shares with Natasha. They are both touch starved people, considering Clint’s abusive childhood and Natasha neglected one they both relish in each other’s touch. From sex to walks on the park they are constantly touching each other; pinky’s lace together, arms get slung over shoulders and kisses are dropped onto foreheads often. Phil had to politely ask them to cool it in the middle of a brief so they try to keep their touching to a minimum and work appropriate while at SHIELD (except for the workplace quickies because Phil would have to drag that from Clint’s cold dead fingers. Try it, Sir…I dare you! It helps though that they haven’t been caught! A delightful occupational quirk ;) Outside of SHIELD they really let go. Which Clint loves because then he’s able to kiss the spot on Natasha neck that makes her squeal every time! She punches his arm in retaliation but don’t let that fool you she fucking loves it.

Natasha’s other love language would definitely be acts of service. She’s a busy woman and between being a SHIELD operative and then an Avenger later she doesn’t have time to remember the small stuff. Clint however can, so when he knows she’s running low on her favorite bath products he’ll pop out and buy them. When her gear needs a cleaning he’s already done it by the time Natasha sits down to do it. After a long mission apart Clint already has a hot bath running with soothing salts and candles ready by the time Natasha walks through the door. After dinner and a glass of red wine of course! If she is hurt and needs patching up he’s already sitting on the edge of the bathtub with a suture kit and bandages. He takes very good care of her an in return Natasha’s able to be more effective at her job. She rewards him with her own little acts of service like buying him his favorite foods or making him cookies just because.

HELLO 💜 first off I'm very sorry for how stupidly long it took me to reply to this -- but while it waited in my ask box, I read it several times across the last week and it made me smile like an idiot every single time, so it truly was the gift that keeps on giving.

Secondly, there is absolutely less than no need to apologise to me - life happens, I understand, the stories will always be waiting here when you're able to get to them! I'm glad the backlog was able to provide a wee bit of entertainment 🥰

Someone pointed out to me recently that books as courting tools is a recurring theme in my fics and it was not intentional but I'm not mad about it 💀 the heart wants what it wants. I do think Theo would be such a good chance for James to sit and discuss books with in like, a serious way because I don't think he'd have a chance to do much of that with a woman? Not because she's ✨not like other girls✨ and that the ladies already there wouldn't be up to it (Elizabeth is super sharp, we see her read in the first movie, and she won't be the only woman with a brain in Port Royal), but because she doesn't have that same social conditioning that might inhibit the women already there in a discussion?

Like we see a bit of how Elizabeth isn't totally herself around James the same way she is with Will, mostly in the first movie - she reverts into polite proper lady mode and smiles and nods and does what is expected of her, and I just don't think it would be approved of in that time/setting if a woman was to sit and properly debate a book with a man, for fear that it would be unladylike or off-putting. Theo is fine with being unladylike and off-putting, usually. Meanwhile James is like 😍 yes queen debate Marcus Aurelius with me xoxo

Plus, she's had a bit of a rougher life than most ladies there (albeit not as rough as James speculates) so she'd be able to apply that to the philosophy books that they're exchanging, rather than debating it purely theoretically, and I think it would have James discovering a whole new kink (the lesser known Aladdin song).

I have an unhealthy obsession with anything cute and fluffy. Such as pillows, blankets and stuffed animals. I enjoy traveling, anime, Kpop, nature, watching trashy shows lol, gaming and napping! I’d literally nap all day long if I’m allowed to 😅. Anything spooky and creepy intrigues me! Especially tarot cards and ghost hunts! Even though I love to travel I’m also a homebody and would rather stay home. I absolutely HATE spiders (arachnophobia), crowds and loud abrupt noises and changes. Also can’t stand rude people!

Aesthetic/style: I’d best describe my style as whimsical goth. I LOVE cottage core and wearing long flowy skirts and tops. But I also love to style with a hint of gothic here and there. I prefer darker colors and reds, purples and black. I also wear a lot of boots and corsets.

Ideal type: I do prefer someone older than me and taller than me. But I’m more than ok to date someone a couple of years younger than me. I’d like someone who I can be playful with, someone who I can banter and tease without getting upset. I have two cats, so I definitely need someone who loves cats just as much! I’m not much of a physical person as physical touch can give me anxiety. But if it’s coming from my s/o, I become so clingy and cuddly! I’m also a little possessive with my s/o 😅. My love languages are words of affirmations and gifts. I love giving gifts to loved ones, especially the little simple gifts that makes me think of my love for them.
