Pheobe was focused on her writing, a single earbud in and playing music to drown out some of the sounds of the cafe. Her tea had long since gone cold and her posture resembled a question mark more than a person. She was on a roll and didn’t look up until someone gently tapped the table across from her.
“Excuse me, do you mind if I sit here? The other tables are full.” The man had long dark hair and enchanting emerald eyes. He had a divine aura, but seemed to be trying half heartedly to hide it.
Between being pulled from her hyper focused state and the anxiety of suddenly being addressed, she froze up. After far too long a moment of his watching her expectantly, she nodded and blushed.
He sat across from her with his cup of coffee and his eyes rolled over her form. “Thank you. You can call me Loke.”
“Phoebe. It’s nice to meet you.” She managed to get out. She straightened up to offer him a hand to shake and her entire spine sounded like rice crispies.
“Are you quite alright?” Concern lit his eyes. There was something odd about how he was sitting in the chair.
“Mmhm. Just haven’t moved in a while. Would you mind watching my things for a moment?”
When he nodded, she stood and went to the restroom before getting in line for a fresh cup of tea. Sadly, she hadn’t inherited her mother’s fire powers, so she needed a fresh cup instead of reheating it. When she sat back down and met his gaze, she blushed brightly. “I got too into writing and when you distracted me it was like I got all the status effects ever. Had to pee, needed a drink, need to eat, etc.” she rambled before blushing more. “Sorry, you didn’t need all that information.”
The god’s face broke into a smile and he shook his head. “You mortals never cease to amuse. What are you writing?”
“Oh, just a silly little story. Nothing all that interesting or exciting. Just a way to relax after work and away from my real life, you know?” She observed him as he listened to her and then it hit her. He was trying to mimic the humans in the cafe. His upper body was in a similar posture to all the business folk who would work all day here, but his lower body’s posture was far more casual. She had to hide the chuckle. He was trying to mesh with the humans, with no idea of how to actually do so.
“Sounds interesting. Care to tell me more?” He sipped at his coffee too casually, like he was savoring a rare treat.
“It’s the story of a human princess who finds herself in an arranged marriage with a demon spider prince. Shes terrified of him at first, but then finds that a lot of the way she thought about his people was all misconception and misinformation. Eventually they fall in love and confound everyone who thought it would be an uncomfortable political marriage.” She summarized, shrugging a little. “It’s all kinds of silly tropes and chaos and not the most logical, but I enjoy it.”
“A princess and a demon spider. Thats not a story you hear about every day. Midgardians are so creative with their stories.”
“Oh, we really are.” She couldn’t help but agree. “Do you enjoy stories?”
“Very much. Where I come from, most of them are tales of wars and battles, so the changes here are a delight. I can find stories in all kinds of topics here.”
“Isn’t it wonderful?”
They continued to talk through several more cups of tea and coffee, several pastries, and her laptop dying. Eventually, the cafe was closing.
“Would you like to meet again sometime?” Loke asked hopefully.
“Oh absolutely. Let me write down my number for you.” Phoebe quickly scribbled it on a bit of paper from her pocket notebook. She handed it over as she packed up. “Next time you’ll have to tell me what you’re the god of.” She winked at him as she stood and walked out of the cafe before he could reply.

A Guide to Aphrodite’s Epithets
Aphrodite is a goddess of many forms. She is one of the older goddesses, born from Ouranos. She is the sister to the Titans, the Furies, the Meliae, and the Giants.
She is the mother of Harmonia and Eros, the Graces and Peitho, but also of Anteros, of Phobos and Deimos and Adestria. She is vengeful and chaotic, existing in the passion that drives wars and artists, in the lust that fuels affairs and assaults, in the love that fuels suicides and marriage.
In my experience, the epithet you worship is insanely important. Aphrodite Ourania is much more lighthearted than Aphrodite Skotia, or Aphrodite Tymborychos.
Aphrodite Ourania is a Lady of the Heavens. She is lipstick marks on softly written poetry, she is pink roses in a pearl encrusted vase.
Aphrodite Ambologera is children braiding each others hair at kindergarten, teenagers whispering about boys and girls, twenty one year olds partying hard and living life.
Aphrodite Anadyomene is the feeling of ocean water over your feet. She is collecting seashells on the shore, collecting sand and water for spells and rituals.
Aphrodite Apaturia is teenage drama, that seems life ending at first but silly as you grow older. She is the gossip and drama that weaves its way into youth, and she smiles as you live your own movie.
Aphrodite Apotrophia is the mother standing over her child, watchful for creeps. She is the older sister clinging to the younger, she is the one you pray to after being assaulted, the one that will hold you close and take revenge for you.
Aphrodite Areia stands beside her lover in battle. She sees the passion that drove these young men to war, sees the fight in their eyes. She fights alongside them, whispering reminders in their ears about who they are fighting for, for their wives and daughters at home.
Aphrodite Despoina is seen in femme fatales, the click of black stilettos and women that know their worth. She stands beside women with fire in their eyes, by hardworking women that know they are meant for more, by CEOS that know their place, and that their place is at the top.
Aphrodite Gameloi walks you down the aisle alongside your father, watches as you say your vows. She stands beside Hera and blesses your marriage, crying and wishing you the best as your own mother would.
Aphrodite Gentyllis sits with you as you birth your first child, and every child after that. She holds your hand and kisses you on the forehead, wishing you the best as she leaves for the next.
Aphrodite Melainis looks in shadows at night, watching you as you walk home. She will take revenge for you if you need, and it will be delivered brutally.
Aphrodite Nikephoros stands beside olympians and generals alike, celebrating in their victory. She stands beside soldiers as they rejoice, by athletes as they cry, and by children as they win their first tournament. She is there for the small and the big victories, from making your first successful dinner to winning a war.
Aphrodite Pandemos sees no difference between a while child or a black child. You are all her children, and she will kiss you on the forehead and tell you she is proud. She stands with you, whether you can afford fancy offerings or altars, she is of the people, for the people.
Aphrodite Peitho stands beside you as you seduce your first lover. She is there as you beg your parents for a dog, as you persuade your mother to let you sleepover at your friends house for the first time.
Aphrodite Skotia stands beside you as you insult. She stands with you as you cover yourself in the ruins of your purity, and she cradles you when you weep for your innocence. When you cry over your sins, she is there, reminding you that she too, is Unholy, and it is okay.
Aphrodite Tymborychos stands with the survivors community, with rape victims and domestic abuse survivors. She stands with women that have slaughtered their abusers, with daughters and sons that have stood up to abusive parents. She stands in the middle of riots for freedom, because if her children cannot stand free then their oppressors should not stand at all.
She is all of these at once, and she is there. You can find her wherever you look, in poetry books or romance novels. You can find her in the laughter of young girls and the tears of victims. You can find her in graveyards, whispering her revenge to abusers and murderers, reminding them that she is a gravedigger and a mother, and harm that befalls her children is a slight to her.
DISCLAIMER: You do not have to choose an epithet. This is here to remind you that Aphrodite comes in many forms, and the Aphrodite you worship sometimes won’t line up with someone else’s. <3

Fear vs War 2
Fright Knight was in Gotham trying to find his target. The clown was in Arkham, so he was going for the Scarecrow. He was hoping to find him before the rogue could spread any Artificial Fear. He was going for the Scarecrow's Minions, who preferred to go by goons, hoping to scare his location from them. when mortals meet him it triggered the 'fight or flight' instinct, as he was Phobos a God of fear. But in Gotham this was only a hinderance, because everyone choose fight. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.
Fright Knight: *trying to scare some info from a goon*
Orphan:...*Waves her hand to get his attention*
Fright Knight: *startled but doesent jump* Can i help you?
Orphan: *signs*
Fright Knight: I can speak all languages, but not sign language. Truly a flaw in Divinity.
Spoiler: She's asking who you are and what are you doing here?
Fright Knight: I am Fright Knight! Greek god of Fear and Right hand to the Ghost King. I am here to punish the rogue know as Scarecrow for his crimes against my domain. He is out of Arkham Yes?
Spoiler: He's in the Hospital getting a colonoscopy. Hes like 50.
Fright Knight: i also planned on giving him a colonoscopy. but very well. i suppose ill just have to go visit Wonder Woman.
Spoiler: to avenge you're Father?
Fright Knight: HA! No, i wish to thank her on her victory and introduce myself to my aunt.
Spoiler: ah Ares is a shit father huh? I know the feeling.
Fright Knight: I advise you avoid saying his name, But yes War is no kinder to children then it is anyone else. Worse even...
Orphan and Spoiler: *nods*
Spoiler: Hey i gotta say NICE purple flames.
Fright Knight: Its not really a choice. My mother is pink and my father is black. together it makes purple. I dont suppose i could convince you to keep this visit a secret from the Batman. My liege doesent want his attention and paranoia.
Spoiler: oh you absolutely could- *she stops and puts a hand to her ear and talks to someone on the comms*. Hey lets make a deal. theres a riot in Arkham asylum. you help us clean that up and Batman will never hear a word of this. Deal?
Fright Knight: Deal. now what do you have in mind?
Spoiler: *Grins evilly*
(insert any jojo theme here)
As Arkham's riot continued many Rogues, convicts, and psych patients were making a escape attempt only one vigilante stood in their way. Spoiler looking strangely buff with her face more defined and over animated(jojo style) stood alone. In front of the rioting mod she struck a pose and behind her a black and purple knight appeared. Both of them struck a pose and flexed as a aura of fear and terror washed over the mob making them flee back into Arkham and into there cells.
True to their deal Batman never heard a word of this. They used sign instead.

using my classics degree for good. i cannot wait for 3.0
my notes from my first watch through of "Amphororeus' Saga of Heroes" under the cut. please note that i did this at 8am with minimal double and triple checking of sources
Aglaea- Aglaea in mythology is the child of zeus and is one of the three Charities in Greek myth; according to Dionysiaca she is one of the "dancers of Orchomenus" who tend to Aphrodite. Helped Aphrodite in her attempt to weave better than Athena by holding and passing Aphrodite the yarn. She also acts as Aphrodite's messanger. Her drip marketing also mentioned her connection to romance so her being a stand in for Aphrodite feels like a easy call
Tribbie- hermes or hecate (likely a combination) she's a messenger like hermes, however the description of "the three-faced" is usually used in description of Hecate goddess of the crossroads
Anaxa- likely the athena parallel as said to have enough knowledge to refute faith and is capable of killing gods. this is in line with athena's domains of wisdom and the logical side of combat; eyepatch is similar to odin of norse mythology as he exchanged one of his eyes for all the knowledge in the world; Anax is the attic greek word for "tribal cheif, lord, or military leader"; there are also several notable figures who have the prefix anax- in their name Anaxandridas II (a king of sparta) and anaxagoras and anaxarchus (both philosphers)
Hyacine - name from hyacinthus, lover of apollo and where we get the name of hyacinths from; she also "severs dawn from dusk" which makes me feel more than confident in her being the apollo parallel
Mydei- ares parallel, lion symbolism is common with warriors in ancient greece; hercules wore the skin of a lion he killed. the rest of it is vibes based but look at him; could not find any strong name parallels immediately as both Medea and Midas do not have many war-like contributions; however medea is close enough to mydei in pronunciation. medea was the daughter of Aeetes and lover of Jason from the argonauts and granddaughter to the sun god Helios; fire motifs, could be connection to hephaestus but i'd need more before i make that call; japanese version uses Mydeimos which points to Deimos, the god of terror and twin brother of Phobos the god of fear, both of which are children of Ares and Aphrodite (thank you @/integraseras for connection)
Cipher- fleet-footed hunter and said to "make time stop" while i can't think of any deity that specifically can do that the fleet-footed hunter aspect along with her being feminine strongly implies to me an artemis parallel; "make time stop" is interesting because in some stories and accounts the gods could stop time to communicate with a single hero or person without others noticing their presence
Castorice- "daughter of the river styx" and other death motives makes her almost certainly Hades; this is likely unrelated but one of the twins of the Diocusi (gemini twins) is named Castor however they are the children of Zeus, however castor was born mortal and pollux was born immortal, eventually they made a deal in which they would spend half of the time with the gods and the other half in the underworld
Phainon- couldnt find one of the olympians that fight however the god Phaenon is the sky god of Cronus (the planet Saturn); name means "bright" or "shining"; this could also be our Zeus figure due to Phaenon being called "the star of Jove" (Jove being another name for Zeus in roman myth)
(following names were from the video description but no other info was given)
Hysilens- name possibly comes from the combination of the gods Silenus and Hysminai; silenus is the god of wine, drunkenness, and the forest while also the foster father of Dionysus. Hysminai is the personification of combat; likely stand in for Dionysus
Cerydra- name has some parallels to the hydra the lake monster of Lerna in the Argolid, cer- could possibly (very unlikely) come from cerberus; my money would be on them being the parallel for posideon; the hydra was also one of hercules 12 labors and the lake Lerna was said to be an enterence to the underworld, possibly connecting cerberus in there, as cerberus is the guard dog of the underworld
Two unnamed characters: also there Gods that haven't been explicitly shown: Hera, Hestia, Demeter and Hephaestus. I could see hoyo combining Hera and Hestia into a single character of marriage, hearth and home
Other notes:
the gods were said to have gold blood
Amphoreus from the greek vessel style of a container with a long neck and two handles used to store oil, wine, milk, or grain. Amphorae were sometimes used as grave markers or as containers for funeral offerings or human remains and Amphora was also used as a unit of measure
the titans in the trailer = titans in myth; the conflict that follows is basically the equivalent of the war in mythology between the olympians and the titans

Immortal Danger II
Apollo x wife!Reader
Summary: Despite an extravagant wedding, Apollo is still confronted by those who want to end his marriage
Warning: Smut; Ares, Demeter, and Phobos slander; attempted assault; alcohol consumption and mentions of underage drinking; probably some ancient greek wedding inaccuracies
Word Count: 5k
Part 1 | Masterlist
Tumblr media
Apparently a wedding in Vegas wasn’t good enough for my mother because I found myself in her green house mansion on Olympus being lectured and listening to her berate Apollo.
“Dem, we’re all adults here,” my husband tried to reason.
“She isn’t even a century old!” Demeter cried in exasperation.
“Twenty-four is considered an adult on earth,” I offered. “Didn’t Persephone run off with Hades when she was seventeen?”
“Oh don’t even get me started on him!” my mother ranted. “What is with you gods and my daughters?” Apollo opened his mouth but she just held a hand up, silencing him. “No! I don’t want to hear all the perverted things you think about her.”
“When did you become such a prude, Dem? My father told me all about your wild days.” If Apollo could die he’d be trapped in Tartarus right now based on the glare she sent him.
“A ‘Vegas’ wedding officiated by a mortal is not a real wedding. I won’t have you two living in sin.”
“Well we’ve been ‘sin-’”
I clamped a hand over Apollo’s mouth, silencing him. “Firstly, with all due respect… Mother, you have the wrong religion there.”
“Well we don’t have set moral codes like Christians do!” she cried. “Urgh you’re both so infuriating. You two are going to have a proper, traditional wedding. You,” she looked pointedly at me, “will be staying here until your wedding because I don’t want you,” she turned her glare to Apollo, “defiling her more than you already have.”
I shared a glance with Apollo who appeared to share my sentiments. “Fine,” I agreed. “As long as the wedding occurs within a month.”
“And after you are married you will stay here. Apollo can visit you but that’s it. No spending nights at his home or going out to sneak around,” Demeter insisted.
“Mother!” I immediately chastised.
“Demeter!” my now fiancé cried simultaneously. “That’s unreasonable. I know you think of her as your baby and you’re afraid you’re going to lose her like Persephone but she’s my wife. She’ll be my wife again. You can’t treat her like an untrustworthy teenager. Besides, you know as well as I do that according to tradition, the marriage isn’t legitimate unless we live together.”
“Well then you may as not get married at all!” Demeter offered sarcastically.
“Mother, it’s not as if I’m disappearing or we’re just fooling around. I love him,” I professed, looking back at Apollo with a smile.
He returned it before standing up to confront my mom. “Y/N’s right, we’re not just fooling around. After all, we’re already married.
She only rolled her eyes before giving a sigh of defeat. “Be ready for the wedding. Hera, Aphrodite, and I will be planning it,” she said with an accusatory finger before disappearing.
~
Two weeks later and my mother had managed to pull together a wedding she deemed acceptable. She had wanted to hold it a century from now but I forced her hand. But in preparations for the wedding, I met all the gods. Except for Ares they were all excited for me. Even Aphrodite who had reprimanded Ares when he got aggressive.
“You know, it’s not too late to join the Hunt,” Artemis offered again as she braided my hair back for the wedding. Ever since we met she has been trying to convince me to dump her brother and swear him and all other men off for forever.
“Artemis!” Aphrodite whined from across the room. “Stop putting ideas in her head. Why do you hate true love?”
“Don’t you have a husband that isn’t Ares?” Artemis quipped.
“That’s different,” she claimed, standing up from the sofa she was lounging on. “That was not true love.”
“And don’t you have dozens of children that are neither Hephaestus’ nor Ares’?”
“Ugh what do you know?” Aphrodite scoffed. She stood on front of me, stooping down to make eye contact. “Y/N, don’t listen to her. You and Apollo are meant to be, I know it. And running around in the woods for eternity won’t bring you joy. Do you really want to camp with a bunch of 12 year old girls for the rest of eternity? It’d be like… well… being stuck at Camp Half-Blood for all eternity.”
I chuckled, appreciating both the goddesses’ efforts. “Thanks for the assurance Aphrodite and thanks for the offer Artemis. If he pisses me off enough in like 500 years then I may take you up on your offer.”
Hera then entered wearing a traditional chiton. “Today’s the gamos!” she said excitedly as she entered. She seemed shockingly excited considering I was marrying her husband’s bastard. “Aphrodite, put a beauty charm on her and then get her in her dress.” She then left after barking orders much like my mother.
Both goddesses complied and soon enough I was dressed in an extravagant chiton, decorated in gold, and with a lace veil over my face. They led me to an enormous dining hall decorated in white and gold, the gorgeous ceiling enchanted to reflect the sky outside, depicting the stars and the moon. As I was looking around in awe, I caught Apollo’s smile. Upon noticing my attention was directed at him, he raised his glass to me which I recognized as his attempt to compliment me.
According to Athenian tradition, the bride wasn’t supposed to have contact with the groom until the unveiling ceremony but there was a feast beforehand.
I was sat where Apollo couldn’t see me so I was fortunately allowed to eat. On my plate was a square of ambrosia and with just a wave of my hand it turned into a proper wedding dish.
As I was chatting with Artemis and some of her hunters—who wanted to sit as far from the male guests as possible—Hera and Demeter came flitting up next to me. “It’s time for the unveiling ceremony!” Hera gushed.
“It’s not too late to back out,” Demeter offered again. “You don’t have to swear things off with Apollo but you can at least postpone,” she pleaded hopefully.
I looked up at her sympathetically. I knew she just wanted to have her daughter to herself but I couldn’t help but be reminded of the half-blood daughters that were never this important to her. “Mother, I want this,” I informed her earnestly again. “I love Apollo and he loves me too. I’m ready to begin my immortal life with him.”
“Demeter, I know there are a lot of feelings here but we have to go,” Hera tried to calm her sister before flipping the veil back over my head and ushering me from my seat. I complied until I reached the grand entrance of the hall. Stood in the doorway was Apollo also in a traditional chiton. Just past him, awaiting us outside was the chariot that would take us to his home.
I stepped up closer to him, smiling up at him as he beamed down at me. He literally was the sun personified and I couldn’t wait to spend eternity with him.
If there were any formal rituals associated with the unveiling ceremony they had either been long since forgotten or Apollo didn’t care because he took a more modern approach. After a whispered, “I love you,” he took the veil and flipped it over my head before gently placing one hand on my jaw, the other on my waist before kissing me deeply. Much like modern Christian ceremonies.
Although, the kiss wasn’t very Christian as it was deep and passionate and Apollo seemed reluctant to end it. Every time he pulled away slightly it was just to connect our lips deeper again. He only pulled away when a shout came from Hermes. “You’re not in your bedchambers yet!”
Apollo pulled away with a laugh while I flushed with embarrassment. Upon noticing me, he pulled me closer with a laugh whilst I buried my face in his shoulder. I could feel his deep, joyful laugh as he turned to address the room. “The sun may be up a lot later tomorrow morning!” he announced to the room.
I groaned against his shoulder, pushing him towards the chariot. As he stepped away from me, he grabbed my hand. He helped me up onto the chariot before stepping up himself. As soon as he was stood firmly behind me, I urged the horses forward.
As we proceeded out, all of our guests appeared along the path all the way to Apollo’s home. Used to all the praise and attention, Apollo waved to other other deities as they cheered us on, with me tucked under his arm trying not to fall out of the chariot.
As we reached the grand entrance of the mansion, we finally had some privacy. The sun god helped me down from the chariot again, before sweeping me off my feet. “And now, we will enter our home, cementing our marriage,” he explained with a smile.
I giggled, wrapping my arms around his neck as he carried me through the magically opened doors. He didn’t even bother to pretend to want to celebrate that we were married now, he immediately carried me up towards the bedroom. “You’re going to hate your mother for not letting me see you for two weeks because tonight I’m making up for not fucking you for that time,” he explained eagerly.
As he went the doors opened automatically until he was placing me on the middle of the bed. He followed, kneeling on the bed with a leg on either side of my hips, looking down at me. I began unfastening the bindings of my chiton but Apollo just snapped his fingers and I was in white lingerie. Before I could comprehend what happened, he tore the bralette off of me as his lips found mine. As he kissed me, I could feel his warm hands on my breasts, fondling them and teasing my nipples.
Soon enough his lips were leaving mine and trailing down my neck and chest until one of my nipples was in his mouth. I let out a soft moan as I felt his tongue swirl around me. He moved to the other breast, simultaneously sliding his other hand to my panties which I now realized were entirely lace as there was virtually nothing in between his fingers and my pussy.
As his thumb found my clit and his mouth continued the assault on my breasts, I could only let out cries of pleasure. My hands found his back as I dug my nails into his skin, trying to ground myself. But one hand overstimulating my clit, the other rubbing circles around my nipple, and the other nipple still being tortured by his mouth was too much and my panties became even more soaked as I climaxed.
Upon feeling my entire body seize, Apollo pulled away from me with a satisfied smile. I stared up at him in slight wonderment. I never orgasmed that fast, I would have thought that I’d be less sensitive as a goddess. Seeing my surprise, Apollo explained with a laugh. “Now that we’re both immortal and married we’re more in tune with each other,” he explained. “It’s like our bodies are made for each other. They just react more to each other than when you were mortal.”
“So you feel it more too?” I asked. He nodded. “Good,” I smiled. I snapped my fingers and all of a sudden his chiton was gone and he was naked. Before he could react, I had pushed him to lay on the bed, my body on top of his. Much like what he had done to me prior, I gave him a brief yet deep kiss before lowering my head to his already erect cock. I met his eager gaze, holding eye contact as I grasped his cock. Stroking it a bit, I brought my mouth down on it while still maintaining eye contact. I felt his entire body shiver as I wrapped my lips around the sensitive head that was already leaking precum.
I licked at the sensitive head ever so slightly, bringing my mouth up and down his shaft the littlest bit, teasing him. But as I reached the very end of his cock, acting as if I was about to pull away, his hand shot out to my head, keeping me in place. Looking up, I found his face contorted in pleasure, the hand not tangled in my hair was gripping the sheets. “Don’t stop,” he said in a strained voice. I complied, continuing my assault on his cock. As a goddess, I no longer had to worry about a gag reflex so I could take his entire cock in my mouth, something he deeply appreciated judging by his deep groans.
I tried to keep going until he came in my mouth but his grip on my hair pulled me away. “No!” he grunted out. “I wanna cum inside you first.” He immediately flipped us so now he was on top of me but my head was nearly hanging off the foot of the bed, ripping off my lace panties in the process. He stared down hungrily at my cunt, licking his lips like a starved man. Rather than fuck me like I thought he was going to, he brought his mouth to my core. Upon feeling his mouth wrap around my core, tongue prodding at my clit, I let out more of a yell than a moan. I was so sensitive from the previous orgasm, I came directly in his mouth this time. But rather than stop there, he kept going. His tongue made its way inside my clenching hole, swirling around, making me see stars.
I was squirming around so much his hands had locked around my hips, immobilizing me. All I could do was beg him to stop as he assaulted my cunt until he finally pulled away after one more release. “I need you inside me,” I begged him as he raised himself to his knees. He smiled, eagerly complying. He pulled my hips up until they were flush with his. I brought my legs up as he did so, resting them on his shoulders as he slowly pushed inside of me.
I screamed so loudly in pleasure you’d think I was being murdered. Gods I was so sensitive from the previous orgasms and our newfound connection.
Once he was fully in me I could feel his cock twitching inside of me and I knew what that meant. He had never cum this fast but then again, never had I either. I rolled my hips into his, wanted him to feel the same pleasure I had and I could immediately feel him spill inside of me. Which made me cum around his cock, milking everything out of him.
But he didn’t pull out or soften inside of me. That was the nice thing about gods, there was no refractory period. As soon as he stopped cumming, his hips were moving again, fucking me.
I quickly became a babbling mess as he continued to fuck me through numerous orgasms each. He had me bent over, riding him, under him, every position imaginable. Sometimes he was rough, other times more gentle and loving. No matter what we did I loved every moment of it.
He only stopped when he had to go get the sun chariot ready. Despite the fact that I didn’t need to sleep anymore, I immediately passed out as soon as he left.
~
Apollo’s lips on my neck were the only things that pulled me out of the inviting grasp of sleep. I let out a groan so he knew that I was awake.
“‘Morning,” he greeted in my ear. “So today is called epaulia, it’s when everyone comes to congratulate us and bring gifts,” he explained through kisses. “I can tell them that you’re not feeling up to it today if you want. I know you’re new to immortality and last night was a lot.” I could feel his smug grin against the skin of my jaw. “But, if you choose not to see anyone then I’m warning you that you’re not leaving this bed.”
I finally peeled my eyes fully open. Fortunately the blinds around the bed had been drawn so I wasn’t blinded. I rolled over, meeting his gaze. “I know I’m immortal and as much as I would love to spend the entire day in bed with you, I think I might actually die of exhaustion if you do that to me.” A grin appeared on his face as his fingers found their way in between my legs. “Apollo,” I moaned, tossing my head back as his fingers assaulted my still puffy and throbbing clit.
“Okay,” he agreed, as if he weren’t fingering me right now. “I’ll tell them they can come over once I’m done.” He continued, his fingers fucking me to the edge of an orgasm. But before I could finish, a gong rang through the home. I jumped and Apollo pulled away. “Oh shit, I guess they came anyways.” He pressed a kiss to my cheek before jumping out of bed. “I’ll talk to them while you get dressed. Technically today is about you since epaulia is supposed to make the bride more comfortable.” I just stared at him, still a little bit flabbergasted before he disappeared.
After a minute of calming myself down, I got up. Going to the vanity I found my messy appearance. Fortunately I could just give myself a beauty charm, something Aphrodite taught me, and I looked like I hadn’t spent the night being fucked within an inch of my life. I summoned a white slip dress that was still modest enough to be worn in front of my family.
With one last look in the mirror I headed downstairs, finding several goods and goddesses standing in the foyer. As soon as they noticed my presence, several of the goddesses came flocking over to me. They were all asking about last night—questions I wouldn’t be answering considering I hardly knew them—and shoving gifts in my hands.
Seeing as I didn’t have enough hands, they all herded me towards the kitchen, lining the counters with their gifts. Eventually Apollo made his way towards me, throwing an arm around my shoulder. He addressed the crowd with ease, telling them thanks but not to crowd me. His confidence was baffling but I guess when you’ve spent centuries being adored it comes easily.
Aphrodite pushed her way through the crowd, Ares standing behind her with a glare. I retreated further into Apollo’s embrace, remembering how he was trying to kill me just two weeks ago. “Open my present,” Aphrodite gushed, oblivious to her lover’s glare.
Shaking off Ares’ intimidation, I took the pink box in my hand. “Aphrodite, do I want to open this in front of everyone?” I asked, my eyes flickering across the room of mostly strangers and meeting my mother’s scowl.
“Yes, it’s fine!” she insisted. “It’s just perfume.” I opened it reluctantly, knowing that her perfumes were love potions. I pulled it out of the box, the label informing me that it would make me irresistible.
A few other visitors presented their gifts. I was delighted by the plants that Athena, Artemis, and a few nymphs gave me. There were a few lingerie sets that I didn’t take out of the boxes and bags. As well as a few other home goods.
By the time I had gotten through the mountain of gifts, someone had pulled out the alcoholic nectar. Aphrodite quickly pushed a champagne flute of it into my hands. “Have you ever drank, Y/N?” she asked. “You were at camp a long time.”
“Um, once when I was 15 before I became a year-round camper,” I explained. “My boyfriend at the time and I-”
“Your boyfriend?” Apollo demanded in surprise, having never left my side.
“You knew about him!” I defended. “We only made out a couple times.”
“Still,” he huffed.
“I know your children. I grew up with some of them,” I pointed out.
He rolled his eyes playfully. “Yeah whatever,” he said with a pout before breaking out in a smile. “Hey, I’m gonna go talk to Hermes,” he informed, pressing a kiss to my temple. He then looked at Aphrodite. “Please don’t let her get too drunk,” he requested. “There’s a difference between mortal alcohol and god alcohol. Even Dionysus has made a fool of himself off of this stuff.”
“Don’t worry,” Aphrodite assured. “I’ll take care of her.”
He gave her an uneasy look but I just pushed him to go. “Go have fun. I’ll be fine.”
“Okay,” he said reluctantly. “I love you,” he told me before disappearing into the crowd.
I looked back at Aphrodite and she was immediately waving her hand, shots appearing on the counter. “Oh we’re getting you wasted tonight,” she laughed. I laughed with her, grabbing a shot off the counter.
“To love,” I toasted with her as she grabbed a glass.
~~
Apollo and several other gods were in the den, talking with an American football game playing when Hermes came in. “Apollo!” he called across the room, obviously a little drunk. “Your wife is fun!” he slurred.
By now all the men were looking at him. Apollo stood up, going to his friend. “What do you mean, bud?” he asked.
“Well I was going to get some food but I ended up doing shots with Y/N,” he explained enthusiastically. A few chuckles erupted from the room. New immortals were rare but when they got inebriated the first time it was always funny. “That girl can drink.”
Apollo chuckled nervously, directing his friend to the couch before going back out to the main room. Stepping into the main living space, he found Artemis with her on the couch, trying to force ambrosia into her mouth.
“Y/N, you have to either eat or I’ll force you to throw up,” he heard Artemis threaten.
“Thanks ‘Mis,” he interrupted, taking a seat on the other side of his wife. “I’ve got it from here.” His twin nodded before standing up and disappearing into the crowd.
His wife looked at him with a smile. “Sorry I got drunk,” she giggled. Apollo couldn’t help but smile. She was cute like this.
“It’s ok, I don’t blame you. Aphrodite was supposed to watch you.”
“She did this to me.”
“Yeah, well, you need to sober up a bit before you rejoin the party,” he said, taking her hand. She followed him up into a standing position but immediately tripped over herself. Catching her, Apollo held her close to help her keep her balance. “Let’s try this,” he said, before transporting them to their bedroom.
He managed to get her to the bed, sitting her down on it. Out of nowhere she gasped. “You’re trying to take advantage of a drunk girl!” she immediately erupted into giggles.
He smiled, joining her laugh. “No, you’re gonna sleep off the shots.” She huffed but agreed anyways. Apollo thanked her for her cooperation. “I’ll be downstairs. Call me if you need anything,” he said, pressing a kiss to her cheek before going back downstairs.
~~
I laid back on the bed, staring up at the windows above me. Despite the fact that there were still no clouds in the sky, it looked like it was moving. My head seemed to swim and it was as if my body was mortal again. I felt so weak now.
Just before I found the strength to roll over and go to sleep, I head the bedroom door open. “Apollo?” I called, assuming it was him. When I got no response I sat up, finding a vaguely familiar figure coming up the stairs. My vision was too hazy to see his face distinctly.
“Hey, Y/N,” the voice came.
As the figure got closer I could finally make out his face. “Phobos?” I guessed.
He smiled. “You remember me and you’re not screaming in terror,” he chuckled. I shrugged awkwardly. He sighed, sitting on the bed next to me. “Listen, uh, I'm sorry about trying to kill you. Father’s orders, y’know?”
“Uh, sure,” I agreed.
“I was hoping you could forgive me,” he requested. He kept moving his head to look into my eyes, as if willing me to agree. Fortunately for me, my vision was going in and out of focus too much for it to have any affect.
“Yeah, we could be friends,” I slurred excitedly.
“Well, I was uh… hoping we could be more than friends,” he said nervously. Before I could ask him what he meant, his lips were on mine. His hands locked onto my jaw and neck, holding me in place as I struggled.
As he tried to lay me down on the bed, I slipped out of his grasp. Literally falling onto the floor. I tried to crawl away but he was straddling my hips, pinning me down in a second. “Apollo!” I yelled, tears streaming down my face in fear.
Before I could yell again, Apollo’s face was in front of me. As if it had replaced Phobos’. “Hey, what’s wrong?” Apollo’s voice came but it sounded hollow. “It’s just me,” he assured. His lips found my neck, hand trailing up my body.
“No!” I cried. “I don’t wanna right now. I feel weird.”
“You’ll feel better,” he assured, continuing to touch me.
“Phobos!” I yelled, pushing him away, or trying to at least. “Apollo wouldn’t do this to me!” I insisted, recalling all the times when I told him I didn’t want to do anything and he backed off. “Apollo!” I screamed again, hoping he’d hear me over the talking and music.
I cried harder as his hands found the neckline of my dress. But before he could work the garment off of me, there was a flash of light and a yell. “What in Tartarus are you doing, Phobos?!” Apollo’s enraged yell came. The god on top of me immediately changed back to his original form as Apollo yanked him away.
The vague forms of other gods appeared as Apollo was still holding Phobos. A girl I recognized as Athena came rushing over to my side, making sure I was ok. “What happened?” she asked.
It was hard to explain through the alcohol and the tears but I told them about how he came up and started trying to assault me.
“It’s not like that!” Phobos insisted. “Ares told me I should try to get with her.”
“Why?” Zeus’ booming voice demanded from his son and grandson. No one answered. “Tell me or Hecate will be administering truth serums.”
An angry voice belonging to Ares answered reluctantly. “I thought that if Y/N cheated on Apollo she'd leave him for Phobos and then he’d be devastated that my son stole his wife.” There were a few murmurs and I could vaguely hear Aphrodite reprimand him. “But I didn’t tell him to force himself on her.”
Apollo started yelling, causing some of the others to start yelling until Zeus silenced them. “Enough! Ares and Phobos, you’re coming with me. Apollo, take care of your wife. Y/N,” I think I vaguely looked in his direction, “I'm sorry your epaulia was ruined and this happened to you. Everyone else out of Apollo’s home!” he yelled to the rest of the house. There were a few groans and disagreements but within a few minutes everyone had disappeared, leaving just me, my husband, and mother.
“C’mon,” he said, picking me up off the floor. I curled into him as he carried me to the bed.
Meanwhile my mother was still there, arms crossed and tapping her foot like a cartoon. “See I knew something like this would happen.”
“Dem, can we not do this now?” Apollo asked as he placed me on the bed.
“You can’t even protect her!” she continued anyways. “You knew she was vulnerable but were too busy with your friends. I knew you weren’t capable of being a husband.”
“Hey-” Apollo began.
“And you!” Demeter continued anyway. She appeared in my still hazy vision. “Getting that drunk at your own epaulia? What were you thinking? He wouldn’t have tried to force himself on you if you hadn’t been so irresponsible.”
“That’s enough, Demeter!” my husband yelled at her. “You’ve been nothing but critical ever since you found out about us. But we’re married, twice now. You can’t change that. And are you seriously blaming her for what just happened? You of all people should be sympathetic and be glad I got there when I did.”
I could hear Demeter’s huff. “Well she wouldn’t have been in danger in the first place if you never got involved.” Then there was a flash of light and she was gone.
Apollo’s sigh came before he settled down on the bed with me. “I’m so sorry that happened,” he stated, pulling me tightly into his chest. “I never should have left you alone.”
“‘S ok,” I consoled, still slurring my words. “Not your fault.”
“I love you so much,” he said, hugging me impossibly tighter. “I swear that nothing like that will ever happen again.”

Here Are A Few Things From Greek Mythology Which Not Only That Make Sense, But Are Actually Quite Briliant
1. The children of Ares (war, combat, bloodlust) and Aphrodite (beauty, sex) are: Eros (love), Anteros (requited love), Himeros (uncontrollable immediate desire), Pothos (longing desire), Harmonia (harmony), Phobos (fear) and Deimos (panic/terror); which are all of the emotions that can happen in a relationship between the foul-tempered abusive jock and the pretty girl. The ancient Greeks understood relationships.
2. Perseus is the son of Zeus. Why didn't Hera go after him or his mother? Because they're from Argos, and she's the patron of that city.
3. The story of Heracles states that Hera tricked Zeus into saying that the next king of Argos shall be the next male born. Of course, she manipulates events to happen so that Heracles's cousin Eurystheus is born first - thus making him the rightful king. But wait - Heracles has a twin. (Iphicles) So why go for his cousin, and not his fraternal twin to really rub salt in it with Zeus ("Hey, Alcmene's son is the next rightful king - Ain't no rule saying it had to be Heracles, haha!")? It makes a bit of sense actually - by making Eurystheus the next born child, she ensures that it's not Heracles. If she induced labour in Alcmene, there was still a chance Heracles could have been the first one born - and not Iphicles.
4. Why would the relatively amiable Hades kidnap Persephone to make her his bride? Well, according to some sources, he did that after asking Zeus for relationship advice. Given the fact that Zeus has raped and/or kidnapped plenty of women (and poor, minor Ganymede) just 'cause he felt like it, it isn't surprising that his advice would involve something like that.
5. Every source and most people tend to think Hades got the worst and Zeus the best of the deal when they divided up the world, but actually it's kinda balanced because all three of the brothers' domains come with some great perks. Zeus' is obvious, but consider this: Poseidon got the element that covers about two thirds of the planet, with earthquakes to boot, and for Greeks travelling by sea was something of a necessity, while Hades got all of the minerals and gemstones, and as many point out, the one biggest flaw of humanity is that the dead have always and will always outnumber the living.
6. Most stories of Andromeda mention that she was supposed to be eaten by a monster because her mother Cassiopeia blasphemed and made Poseidon mad by claiming Andromeda was more beautiful than the Nereids. All nice and good as the Nereids were supposed to be extremely beautiful, including Amphitrite, Poseidon's wife herself, but the thing comes in when you remember that the Nereids had a brother called Nerites, who was even more beautiful than them, and who was Poseidon's first serious relationship besides his wife. No wonder he got pissed off, she was badmouthing both his wife and his boyfriend!
7. There's some poetic justice in the fact that Narcissus, who saw himself as an unattainable treasure, got transformed into a flower — something that literally anybody can take and do with as they wish.
8. The anger the Olympians felt when they discovered Tantalus' crime makes even more sense when you remember that at least Hera, Poseidon, Hestia and Demeter (Hades wasn't present at the time) all know how it feels to be eaten by your own father.
For Hades' part, it certainly explains why he'd give Tantalus such a torturous punishment in the afterlife.
Made worse by Tantalus being the son of ZEUS.
9. Why are all the gods (save Hestia) prone to so much hypocrisy, violence, sexual assault, and abuse? Well, each god is typically associated with either an aspect of nature (such as the oceans, plants, weather, etc.) or emotions and biological reactions (bloodlust, love, sexuality). As such, the gods are less like people, and more akin to forces of nature; the gods, like nature, are indifferent to humanity, so sometimes they’ll harm people when they’re angry, reward people when they’re happy, etc.
10. Some of Typhon and Echidna's offspring, such as Cerberus, Ladon, the Caucasian Eagle and the Colchian Dragon were utilized by the Olympians in some way despite the fact that they were the offspring of their Nr. 1 Enemy. Sounds odd...but when you think about it, it's actually genius. It's an excellent way to prevent the monsters from running wild and destroying stuff, whilst simultaneously taking advantage of their destructive tendencies.
11. Why is Hades such a faithful husband (Leuke and Minthe were later Roman additions) when both of his brothers are pretty unfaithful? Well, Hades has a very important job that never seems to end. He’s in charge of the Underworld and since someone is always dying, Hades is always very busy which means that he didn’t have time nor interest in having affairs. Also many couples were likely to be together in death. Perhaps Hades saw through those couples what it means to be a good husband. It does help that Hades is also far more mature than his brothers.
12. Nyx is one of the few beings Zeus is too afraid to face, having let her son Hypnos get away with messing with him since he went to his mom. Why's he scared of her in particular and not other primordial deities like Gaea? Depending on the myth Nyx is the mother of many personified concepts, and that includes the Fates...aka the one force even gods like Zeus can't overcome. Imagine how outclassed Zeus'd be if he had to fight their mom!
13. Why is Hestia the least problematic deity out of all Olympians? Cronus ate five of his children, and she was in there the longest. Perhaps the reason Hestia is the sanest and nicest of the six Olympians is because she as the oldest was forced to mature faster in order to take care of her younger siblings while they were trapped in their father's stomach. Hades being the second oldest and first son similarly assumed this role as well. Then we have Demeter, then Poseidon, then Hera and Zeus. While not a perfect graph, you could graph 'reasonable behavior' as being tied to 'who spent the longest in his stomach'.

Scary Love
Tumblr media
Y/N, much to the disdain of his father, had convinced his mother to let him spend some days with his grandmother, Demeter.
Zagreus and Macaria were also not happy about it, however as they player major roles in the underworld, they could not accompany him. They did give him some advice.
“Just take this enchanted dagger with you.” Zagreus spoke, hiding the weapon in his brother’s tunic.
“If someone tries to pressure you, just do as we practiced” said Macaria.
“GUYS PLEASE! THIS IS TOO MUCH!”
The youngest son of Hades was very well received by his grandmother, who was very happy to see him. The other gods were also enthusiastic, specially his new best friends, Athena and Artemis.
Y/N spend the first few days catching up with everyone, Apollo sang him songs, Hermes brought him gifts from his travels, he also did flower crowns with Dionysus, so on and so forth.
With Athena and Artemis, Y/N travelled the known world, playing chess with Athena was always fun and he bonded with Artemis over their love of animals.
There was only one god Y/N could not befriend, that being Aphrodite, whispers ran throughout Olympus that the Goddess of Beauty had been dethroned. Aphrodite didn’t help herself by leading a life of debauchery, not at all leading a life of virtue and, in an irony of destiny, not respecting the sacred bounds of love she herself represented.
One early morning, the young prince witnessed the arrival of Ares, God of War, who was followed by two unknown men, all in bloody armour.
The God of War only gave a small nod of acknowledgment, speaking swiftly.
“Deimos, Phobos…” Ares spoke, his voice full of authority. “…meet Y/N, God of Seasons, Prince of the Underworld, youngest child of Hades and Persephone.”
Deimos and Phobos greeted the young prince, however, the latter could only notice their unusual auras and empty eyes.
In the next days Y/N could feel himself being observed, as if two pairs of eyes were watching him from the shadows. Flowers and little cards could also be find on his bed, with sort messages such as “I love your eyes” or “You have my heart”
The next few encounters with Deimos and Phobos were always the same, with few words exchanged and the two gods in their bloody armours.
One particular day, Y/N was pitiful of the two brothers, he had offered to help clean their armours, they seemed very dirty and uncomfortable.
To his surprise, the two brothers accepted, taking an opportunity to ask the young prince for help cleaning themselves, in particular their cheeses and arms, which they would flex at any opportunity, making Y/N giggle.
From then on, the try spent even more time together, Ares became quite annoyed at this, as his sons weren’t fulfilling their duties, which mainly meant fighting alongside their father.
It was clear to everyone the two brothers were in love with the young prince, but no one dared to say so. As the two circled Y/N like to guard dogs. Or in Persephone’s own words “sons of Cerberus”
Persephone knew of her son’s conflicted feelings, and simply advised “follow your heart…but do remember this has great consequences.”
“What do you mean mother?”
“Silly boy, you have the sons of the God of War at your mercy, the best warriors in the world, who give their father great victories…you can sway them as you please, they are yours to command, love is a powerful force.”
“What…what if I can’t choose between them?”
His mother laughed “I suppose you get two handsome hunks instead of one!”

Ares, the god of war 🩸
Also including an Aphrodite ref sheet that I've had 90% finished for like the last 8 months but hadn't bothered to finish until just recently lol
Anyways buckle up because I'm about to start YAPPIN
I wasn't sure how this was gonna go at first because I don't have a lot of experience with designing male characters and it's not something I typically enjoy but I really like how he turned out and I really enjoyed the process. I was like wait this is fun actually, it's different than what I usually draw.
I've been wanting to do something with Ares for a long time because I think he's really slept on in the Greek mythology community. I think Ares and Aphrodite probably have the healthiest relationship in Greek mythology and I've always found it interesting that the ancient Greeks paired Love with War
I've seen people talk shit about Aphrodite like "oh she cheats on her husband, that's so shitty" like,, you mean the husband she was forced to marry? Ok... But on that note I think Aphrodite and Hephaestus's marriage is interesting and it is something I plan on doing something with. Hephaestus is another one of the few seemingly upstanding men in Greek mythology so I feel like he treats Aphrodite with respect and they find love between each other after some time, in their own way.
Something I always think about is Ares is such a good dad?? He's often depicted in statues with Eros and in war is almost always accompanied by Deimos and Phobos. like yes, spend quality time with your children, so cute <3 Also he supports his Amazon daughters. He unalives a man who assaulted his daughter and it pisses off Poseidon so bad that they INVENT court to put him on trial just for Ares to go "Yeah I did it, and I'd fuckin do it again" and gets acquitted
Back to my Ares design. I thought it would be interesting if his scars were transient, as in not really permanent scars but more like very slowly healing wounds filling with ichor. The only way he can scar permanently is if the injury is inflicted on him by another immortal...
Stole the glowy hair from Disney's Hercules because that shit is peak character design
I was not going to draw any helmets at first because... I didn't want to lol but I read that he like almost always had his helmet. Like he's showing up to fancy dinners carrying his helmet. So I was like okay fine have your emotional support helmet lol
His spear is a gift from Aphrodite, it has a little heart design engraved into it <3 I find Warlike Aphrodite VERY interesting and I like to imagine her having a surprisingly strong affinity for conflict
Personality wise, Ares tries to put up a tough guy "whatever. I don't care act" but he is actually very much a people pleaser and has a distinct desire to be accepted. He is keenly aware that he is not well liked among the gods nor the mortals. He is not the beloved, wise, tactical Athena. He is Bloodlust and Carnage, he is the ugliest sides of war. To most mortals he is a god to appease, not worship.
He loves his mother, and he is her favorite child. He has spent his life defending her, even as a child and even against his father. He is not well liked by his father, but this is typical of Zeus, who is paranoid that one of his sons will eventually continue the family's proclivity for patricide.
Anyways thank you for reading my essay. I will be making more Aphrodite/Ares content very soon. I hope you enjoy

“How many daughters do you have, Phobos?”
Phobos thought about this. “Just off the top of my head, sir?”
“Sure,” Zeus said.
Phobos told him.
“Holy shit,” Zeus said.
“We’re a very busy household, sir,” Phobos said.
Zeus sat back in his chair with a cushiony hissing noise.
There was a drinking bird toy on Zeus’s desk. It bobbled, tilted forward, and plunged its beak into the liver of a model figurine Prometheus before it bobbled upright again.
The bird toy plunged. It bobbled. It plunged again.
Finally, Zeus said: “Phobos, I want you to understand that nobody understands a father’s love for their children more than me.”
Phobos said nothing. It was the safest bet.
“And as my grandson, I want you to know that I love the opportunity to meet my great-grandchildren as often as I can. Except that maybe…”
“Sir?”
“Maybe,” Zeus said in the delicate tone of the diplomat, “maybe we don’t have to bring all of them to family meetings?”
“They hardly ever have the chance to visit, sir.”
“I know, I know, and I’m not asking for none of them to visit. I’d like to see more of Nyctophobia or Thanatophobia, they’re smart girls, and – ha, yes, Astraphobia, there’s a girl who understands my work. But possibly – possibly – Claustrophobia could stay home?”
“She spends all day shut in, sir. It’s good for her to get out in the fresh air more often.”
Zeus nodded. He chose not to mention the time that Athena had been found locked in a cupboard. Nobody had seen who pushed her in there – there was no real proof, but…
“And it has to be said that Apollo finds Coulrophobia possibly just a bit…”
“She’s just expressing herself, sir. He should appreciate that more, as a patron of the arts.” There was just possibly a glitter of an edge in his tone.
“Well – yes, but – face paint and balloon animals? Would we call that art?”
Phobos considered this. “I don’t know much about art, but I know what makes my daughter happy, sir.”
“All I ask is that in the future, we might think how others might react to the presence of your daughters and be considerate of their feelings.”
Phobos thought of this. “Possibly, sir,” he said at last. “Definitely worth considering.”
Zeus nodded. Then his attention turned to the sticky-looking child in Phobos’s lap. “This one is…?”
Phobos brightened up. “Arachibutyrophobia, sir,” he said. “One of our youngest, we’re very proud of her.”
The sticky-looking child stared unblinking at Zeus. Then, without looking away, she reached into the jar she was holding, took a handful of gooey peanut butter and put it into her mouth.
Zeus felt a sickly shiver run up his spine. It was a horrible thought, but he had to admit that they were very creepy children.

"Demeter didn't love any of her children except Persephone"
LOUD AND WRONG!
Persephone is the most important of Demeter's children, therefore she has the most myths about her, and she was the only one her mother's children who was kidnapped, therefore she's the only one we see Demeter's reaction to loosing a child.
"Well why was Persephone the only one she was protective of?"
We do not know if that's the case. The only reason Demeter's protectiveness over Persephone was ever made of note is because that information is directly relevant to the myth of her kidnapping, since Zeus grows a trail of beautiful flowers to lure Persephone away from her guardians and towards Hades.
Also, keep in mind that at the time of her abduction, Persephone was likely Demeter's only child. Arion and Despoina were specifically conceived during the time Persephone was kidnapped due to Poseidon taking advantage of the fact his sister was in a vulnerable state. While Demeter's anger at Poseidon is made of note, no where is it said she hated her children or mistreated them. If anything, I think the fact Despoina was sometimes worshipped alongside Demeter implies otherwise.
Arion is a horse and his myths all come from aiding heroes. Demeter doesn't really have major conflicts in her life where she is at the center of the story beyond Persephone's kidnapping (which happened before Arion's birth) and her doomed romance with Iasion (which isn't really something Arion can help her with).
Demeter's son with Iasion, the god Plutus, is mentioned alongside Demeter quite a few times in myth.
First thing you should know about him, his father was very much a mortal. He should have been a demigod, but his mother made him a god. I think that speaks for the love she had for him.
One source also outright states that he was loved by both his mother and half-sister Persephone.
Lastly, Plutus is Demeter's personal attendant...such as how Eileithyia & Hebe are their mother Hera's attendants, and how Phobos & Deimos are their father Ares's attendants, and how Eros is his mother Aphrodite's attendant, etc. (Do you get the point?) I don't think Demeter would keep him so close if she didn't love and trust him.

Might be a bit obscure but I was wondering if you have any HCs about Harmonia?
Harmonia, goddess of harmony!
I started with a couple of random ideas but ended up with a whole story for her lmao
When Harmonia was born, Ares would hold her in his arms and cry the whole night for how adorable she was.
As the only daughter of Ares and Aphrodite, Harmonia grew up with four bothers (Eros, Anteros, Phobos, Deimos) and a bunch of adoptive brothers (the Erotes). She was rarely seen without at least one brother accompanying her.
Harmonia and Hebe had a complicated relationship. Not in a bad way but in a "I'm your brother's daughter but I was born around the same time as you so uh..." way.
Harmonia was the referee/peace-keeper in the house. She was the one settling disputes among her siblings and make them hug each other out after their fights.
But don't mistake Harmonia's preference for peace for her being weak. Peace isn't always achieved in a peaceful way, and with a father who is a war god and siblings being literal embodiments of fear and terror, Harmonia can and will throw hands if you were to disrespect her. Even her siblings don't get it easy.
And you know the rule: when the most pacifist person got pissed, things will get ugly fast.
Harmonia and Eris don't interact much due to their domains being literal opposites. But they absolutely have the "Are you tired of being nice? Don't you wanna go ape shit?" dynamic.
When Cadmus came to serve Ares as atonement for slaying his serpent, Harmonia took one look at this mortal hero and got a big fat crush. But she only quietly admire Cadmus from afar and never dared to come close.
Why? Well in the godly society, apparently it's fine for gods to sleep with mortal women, but goddesses sleeping with mortal men is considered shameful (e.g. Clio chided Aphrodite for sleeping with Adonis and Merope hid in shame for marrying Sisyphus)
Ares knew about his daughter crushing on his servant but was too shy to approach him, so being the awesome father that he is, he became her wingman (or wing-dad)
Ares ordered Cadmus to run errands at places where Harmonia was often around so they would "accidentally" bump into each other. He'd nudged Cadmus like, "Hey, my little girl thought highly of you so I'll make this servitude easier for you. Also, what do you think about Harmonia?"
Aphrodite was also supportive of her daughter getting it on with Cadmus, giving her tips and tricks to win over the guy. "Goddesses being with mortal man is shameful my ass, you go get your man, dear daughter!"
Harmonia aso ried to flirt and court Cadmus with advices from Eros. Sometimes it works pretty well, other times... well, Eros got his ass beaten by his sister.
When Cadmus was done with his servitude and married Harmonia, you can imagine Ares being a shotgun father and the Erotes being shotgun brothers at the wedding.
As one of the beloved-by-all figure on Olympus, Harmonia received a lot of wedding gifts from the other gods. However, unbeknownst to all, Harmonia was given a cursed robe and necklace from Hephaestus (as revenge for her parents cheating when Aphrodite was married to Hephaestus)
It was believed that these cursed gifts were the reason why almost all children of Cadmus and Harmonia were doomed.
On an unrelated but also related note, because Hephaestus' gifts had caused Harmonia misery, Ares grew even more bitter and distant from his brother.
I'm not gonna go through all the things that happened with the House of Thebes. Let's just say all the horrors that took her children away take a toll on Harmonia. She fell into depression, beginning to doubt her own divinity and dreading over the fact that as a goddess herself, she couldn't protect all of her children from their demises.
But after everything, Harmonia held strong. She had her father's bravery and her mother's fierce love, and those two traits was what carried her through the darkest moments and made her the ever-faithful anchor for her husband.
Harmonia was the one advised Cadmus to leave the royalty life and settle for a more simpler but more peaceful one. She wouldn't mind having to live as a peasant if it meant this new life could bring peace of mind to her husband.
When Cadmus was turned into a snake, Harmonia was offered by her family to a choice to leave Cadmus and return to Olympus. She chose to stay with him, even let herself be turned into a snake to join her beloved. He was all the she had left, and she decided: if they had to go, they will go together.
And when Cadmus finally died, even if she couldn't die herself, Harmonia followed him to Elysium.
But since Harmonia is still a goddess with duties, time and time again she would have to go back to the living world to fulfill them or visit her godly family. Those parting trips weren't as long as Persephone's because Harmonia is still a minor goddess.
Anyways, it was an overall happy ending for them.

I saw one of your posts saying that the reason Aphrodite was paired with Hephaestus is because she originates from Cyprus which produced copper and copper is associated with blacksmiths, Hephaestus' domain. However, Aphrodite had plenty other affairs, one of the most popular being with Ares. I learnt recently that in certain parts of Greece (particularly in Sparta), they worshipped her as a war deity, so does that explain her affair with Ares, god of war?
And what about Hermes and Adonis?
Hmm I do not recall which post of all you are referring my dear Anon but either way I am not sure I should say that Aphrodite is paired with Hephaestus because of copper, I should say that their relationship as husband and wife reflects on Cyprus being one of the possible birth places of Aphrodite and a rich source of copper thus their pair as husband and wife is a symbolism of that combination and of course the essence of love and creation are always there. Thus the fact that Aphrodite was the legal wife to Hephaestus according to many myths. Either way of course Cyprus being associated with copper would contribute to the co-worship of this couple but the reasons behind their union are of course more complex.
Of course Aphrodite had plenty of lovers including gods and mortals with some of the most famous mortals being Anchises (father to Aeneas) and Adonis who according to some myths had a miraculous birth through a tree like herself from the sea etc
Ares of course is her most famous or infamous lover with whom Aphrodite had plenty of children as well (and the story of her affair is rescued already from Homer's Odyssey in which the jealous husband Hephaestus traps the lovers in a bed with chains but they are let go after Poseidon speaks against the punishment of them being tied forever together. Of course the association of love and war go together (love for a person, love for your country, love for your culture and religion etc) which arguably is the primary source of war. One can say even love and lust for territories and money can contribute to that. The concept of love and violence are also signed side by side. The desire to fight for the ones you love is actually very well placed by The Anacreontea in which Eros actually binds Aphrodite and Ares in love together in fragment 28:
One day Ares came in from the battlefield brandishing a strong spear and began to make fun of Eros' weapon. Eros said ‘This one is heavy : try it and you will see.’ Ares took the javelin, while Cypris (Aphrodite) smiled quietly; and with a groan he said, ‘It is heavy , take it back.’ ‘Keep it,’ said Eros
So basically Ares falling instantly in love with her, while holding the spear that belonged to her son Eros, by just looking at her. Their children also kinda reflect on how love and war can be possibly a deadly combination (Deimos and Phobos), violence and love can be passion (Eros) however love can also tame war and bring balance (Harmony). Also despite the fact that their bond was oftentimes mentioned as "marriage" the fact that most of the time they are named as lovers in an extramarital affair has its significance given how violence and war can often be seen as "unlawful". Of course the association of Aphrodite as a war deity either because of this union or outside this union as an individual deity plays also a great role of importance to this union.
Adonis is also associated with youth and spring and beauty. Arguably many of the domains of Aphrodite herself. Besides one of the most prominent characteristics of Adonis is his beauty and secondary his youth. He does represent the domains of Aphrodite thus the goddess of love falls in love with a man that according to Greek standards aspires love and of course according to some versions as I said Adonis was born through a tree, more specifically his mother Myrrha who transformed into a tree out of shame because Aphrodite had aspired in her heart unlawful passion for her father, which she fulfilled and got pregnant so eventually Adonis was born out of the body of his mother (the tree) and thus came to be. So Aphrodite fell in love with him for his beauty and youth the very first moment she lay eyes upon him. His death is also tragic event given how there is one version of the myth between the dispute between Aphrodite and Persephone in which Aphrodite wanted to hide Adonis from everyone else so she could have him all to herself but when she was away she put him in a box and gave him to Persephone telling her not to open that box, which of course she did and she fell in love with Adonis and so the two goddesses demanded to have their share on him and eventually Adonis was associated with coming up and down from the underworld pretty much like Persephone herself. His death is also associated with the jealousy of Ares since as we know the youth wanted to hunt despite Aphrodite's pleas to get him to stop and Adonis died hunting a boar and there is also the version in which that boar was actually Ares in disguise who wanted to kill the rival to his lover. In one way that strikes me as a symbolism on how war usually takes the lives of youths first.
Hermes is of course another god associated with youth and once more love and passion attracts youth. Hermes is also a mischievous god capable of hidden and oftentimes illegal actions. In a way that is a playful union. Of course just like Adonis, Hermes is also associated with the underworld and therefore rebirth and death. He is also a god associated with flocks and merchants and travels. Arguably being a traveler requires to love adventure and love what you do and be brave to face the unknown. Aphrodite is also associated with flocks and nature and certain animals just like Hermes is so in a way their attributes are again harmonizing. Hermes is also associated with animal husbandry so the fact that Aphrodite is associated with fertility makes sense why their union is so important. As a god of astronomy and calendar Hermes seems to associate or harmonize with Aphrodite and her parental from Uranus instead or the protection of the house which again associates with Aphrodite and her loving and protective role Hermes was also associated with alchemic rituals later. Which in one way makes me wonder if they got also inspired by the birth of Hermaphroditus, the child between Aphrodite and Hermes that bears both sexes. In one way this reminds me the alchemic "perfect being" that is no male or female and is the source of creation and somehow the love that the alchemists place in their work is part of it as a symbolism (especially since Hermaphroditus merges with a Naiad to have both male and female sides)
And so on and so forth. Technically the unions between gods and goddesses are allegorically symbolizing their connections via their attributes or the way nature works etc. I hope this interpretation helps a bit

PJO x DC/Batfamily AU idea
Bruce- Son of Zeus, legacy of Phobos, blessed by Nyx
Dick- Son of Poseidon, legacy of Apollo, blessed by Hermes
Jason- Favored Son of Ares, legacy of Apollo
Tim- Son of Athena
Damian- Legacy of Zeus
Barbara- Blessed by Athena
Duke- Son of Apollo
Stephanie- No idea who her godly parent would be, but it'd definitely be a Roman God
Details:
-Dick, by 2024, is 28 while Percy is 31. TLT took place in 2005, sooo Percy is Dicks older brother!
-Because Gotham actually wards off monsters due to how dangerous it is (you'd think it was the other way around but nope) and the sheer amount of curses, monsters aren't actually all that common in Gotham. It's both safe and unsafe for demigods, given they don't have to worry about monsters, but do have to worry about... literally everything else.
-The entire batfamily wasn't aware of their heritage for the very large majority of their lives. This is because of a mix of reasons- Gotham wards off monsters, they were being taught how to fight anyways, and the family being a bunch of Demigods that live in Gotham of all places mean anything weird is just considered entirely normal. Also, Bruce kept scooping up the kids before Satyrs could get to them. (If this still doesn't make sense, then just deal with it lol I prefer the drama of them all finding out VERY late)
-Hades highkey hates Ra's.
-Lazarus Pits actually come up from the Underworld.
-Duke was the only one who knew of his godly heritage prior to joining the batfamily. He's one of the very few Apollo kids who can manipulate light. He just lies and says he's a meta.
-Diana has had her suspicions for YEARS prior to the Demigod stuff being confirmed.
-The batfamily are actually known as demigods to the Demigod community, and they're all legends, especially Batman and Nightwing. The Wayne family, meanwhile, is known as a Demigod safe place because Bruce keeps scooping up Demigod children. Demigods make bets that Bruce will be the reason another Demigod camp is made lmao.
-When the batfamily find out about their heritage, and Dick finds out Percy is his older brother, he basically bluescreens. Dick has always been the older brother, so to find out he's now someone's younger brother?? It's an experience for him, lmao. Him and Percy are excited to find out about each other. Dick is very determined to be an annoying little bastard.
-Jason highkey hates Ares, and always finds ways to annoy his father. Unfortunately, this has the exact opposite effect- Ares likes that Jason is sticking it to the man. This makes Jason REALLY mad.
-Jason is kind of a mini Ares in a lot of ways, but his Apollo heritage shines through a lot as well. It shows in his love of literature, guns, and mother henning. Appearance wise though? Yeah he's a mini Ares.
-The irony that Dick is a 'flying' Grayson and associated with birds while being a son of Poseidon is not lost on him. Shockingly, Zeus likes him. Percy is jealous.
-Dick isn't allowed to give any teams advice during CTF. Every time he does, that team wins. You'd think he was a son of Athena going off of how smart he is, but nope.
-Percy is really really protective of Dick. The second he hears anything about Spyral, or how Dick has been mistreated by Bruce, Dick has to actively hold Percy back from killing Bruce.
-Dick has a lot of feelings about the whole Demigod thing, especially about being related to Percy. He's compared to Percy a lot, and it really grates on his nerves, but he loves Percy. It's just irritating being compared to people after trying so hard to be your own independent person.
-Duke actually helps tour the batfamily through CHB when they visit. He's been there plenty of times of course :)
-The Ares cabin lowkey hates Jason for being the favorite. Jason also hates being the favorite. He does not want to be the favorite (something he'd never thought he'd think).
-Tim is easily the smartest in the Athena cabin. Him being a son of Athena explains his genius, though he would've been one regardless.
-Barbara is only allowed into CHB because of her blessing. She's suddenly very aware that she chose the name Oracle. Rachel thinks it's hilarious though, and they get along really well.
-Jason and Tim both already knew a ton about Greek mythology prior to finding out about their heritage.
-Dick and Jason are shocked to find out their related via Apollo. Dicks mother was a daughter of Apollo, and one of Jason's grandparents on his mom's side was a child of Apollo. Dick is ecstatic over this information, Jason has no idea what to think. Dick is also happy to find that he's related to Duke.
-Nyx is lady Gotham. She took a liking to Bruce when he became Batman, and gave him her blessing. She also likes the entire batfamily, and they all have more minor blessings from her. Only Batman's true heir will get her blessing. Dick would have gotten it had Bruce actually died. The one who will eventually get it is Cassandra.

If the birth of the War Gods we know were to be tied to certain events.
Alright I should probably come upfront and say that even within any classic mythological world or headcanon I come up with these stories these will be treated as myths within myths (if that makes any sense). Basically there's no way I'll verify if they're true in-universe and the only ones who possibly can know or verify if they're true in-universe swore upon the river Styx to never confirm if they are. Besides, a little mystery is fun~...
But having said that, it is interesting that the Gods of War could possibly be tied to the birth of so many divine conflicts. Which is why I'm going to introduce my head canon on which Titan and/or God of War was born during which event.
Pallas the Titan, The Prime Mover of Violence and Titan of War, The Titan Rebellion: Pallas the Titan (not to be confused with Pallas the Giant or Pallas, Daughter of Triton) would be born right as Kronos castrated his father Oranous. From that very day he would be the Prime Mover of Violence among the Titans and Kronos's Victory would also mark the birth of Pallas's and Styx's children Nike, Bia, Kratos (not that one), and Zelus. Unfortunately for Kronos, if one rebellion of the spawn can succeed why can't another? And even more unfortunately...he didn't chew his food after the first one...
Athena, Goddess of Divine Warfare and Wisdom, The Titanomachy: After Zeus ate Metis to prevent his next children from rising against him, he would lead his siblings and sympathetic Titans to he cause and defeat his father Kronos with the Wisdom he gained from eating Metis and unborn Athena. Her birth, inside of Zeus's head, would forever mark the birth of conflict among Gods and the Wisdom of Warfare. Fortunately for humans, they would be spared this fate, unfortunately for them, Zeus really wanted the meat of sacrifices, really unfortunately for them, Zeus caught Prometheus dealing fire and wanted to punish mortal kind and are Hera and Nyx with children?
Ares and Eris, God of Mortal Warfare and Goddess of Strife, The Opening of Pandora's Jar: The whisper among mortalkind is that when Pandora first opened the jar there was the scream like 1000 men dying in pain and chaos but it was actually Ares and Eris taking their first breaths for the first time. Eris would forever be known as a representation of the horrors and evils of Pandora's Jar and be the Winged Goddess of Strife Incarnate, while Ares would be the God who's cries and presence would cause men to fight, to kill, and to die to each other for good or for ill. Ironically enough Ares would go on to befriend Eris and have her limit her influence so wars didn't turn into genocide and both would also still have the unintentional gift of hope inside of them.
Phobos and Deimos, Fear and Terror Incarnate, The Aftermath of the Flood of Deucalion: When Zeus was disappointed in something he asked to have happen on people who had nothing to do with it, he flooded the world leaving humanity to start over, incidentally the God of War would eventually grow up and meet the Goddess of Passion and they would have two children born right as humanity first step foot on the flooded land, Phobos and Deimos, when humanity first walked upon the earth and realized how small and weak they were in the face of true divine wrath, they felt fear and dread for the first time, and that would be when Fear and Terror would breath their first breaths.
Enyo, Goddess of Destruction, The Creation of Typhon: When Gaia created Typhon to first wage war on the Olympians for...several reasons, up to and including the Titans imprisonment, Hera would give birth to another Goddess to give voice to the destruction of the Olympians...Enyo. Born during the Typhon War, when she would grow up she would revel in the bloodshed and hold impartiality between the sides just to see the war go on longer and when Zeus wanted to punish her, Ares stepped in and defended her and made her work with him so that they may revel in the destruction of war and bloodshed.
Enyalius, God of International Warfare, The Dionysis War: When war started to reach beyond the borders of the Olympian's Domain and into other countries like India where Dionysus waged his war, Enyo would give birth to a child of Ares born from Enyo's amorous fever during the deaths of 49 men. His birth would forever mark the day War became something bigger beyond the borders of men and women who paid tribute to the Olympians but also his domain paradoxically he wouldn't be seen much.
Alright I know Aphrodite Areia is missing but considering we know how she was born and what she represents I'd figure it would go without saying.
