Dark corners and unsettling nooks were where John Constantine thrived. His brand of magic wouldn't have been possible without them, and he'd long ago sought them out to learn his trade, settled down, and made himself a home of it. Unlike those born to it, he'd chosen this life, near enough chased it down and forced it to be his best mate. He'd always been drawn to magic, and it was every bit the addiction as the pack of smokes in the pocket of his trench coat at this point. He loved it, hated it, needed it-- a little too much at times.

Real magic didn't often advertise itself, but the demonic and the undead-- those things left a mark. Perhaps he'd always been sympathetic to it, but it was a sense he'd honed over time and through experience, and he'd learned to trust that little otherworldly nudge. Something was going down, and it had pulled him uninvited toward an otherwise empty-looking warehouse. It was practically pulsing with energy from whatever was happening inside, but most people wouldn't have paused to look twice at it. The opposite, actually. Negative energy like this had a tendency to repel. Normal people looked away and hurried past it without even fully understanding why.

"Cozy little spot, ennit? Very Texas Chainsaw Massacre even without the ritual." He casually plucked the lit cigarette from between his lips, eyes narrowing slightly on the scene, as though he hadn't just invited himself into somebody else's trouble. He didn't offer to help-- yet. He wasn't clear on the end goal, but Constantine always had at least six ulterior motives, most of them underhanded, self-serving, or downright diabolical, if not all three.

John is now 6 years old, not a very time in his life. Granted, no time in his life has been considered happy. But still, this one was bad. The aggression of his father started to take a horrible turn.

If I were to have a rp account, who should I do?

I'm most familiar with the batsibilings, especially Dick Jason and Tim. But, I'm also madly in love with them, so I could also be who I ship them with, but I'm not that familiar with them. On the other hand, I love John Constantine on an unhealthy level. I also love with Bruce Wayne, I think I have a good grasp on who he is as a person.

But I think I would get bored of it quickly, as I do with almost everything. Aaaand I need to finish my fic, and I have no idea how to finish it. So... what do I do with my life?

✧ This is my first time writing a DC character on Tumblr.

✧ I have read almost all 300 issues of Hellblazer. Along with viewing Constantine: City of Demons , Justice League Dark: Apokolips War, Constantine (2014) and Legends of Tomorrow.

✧ I am aware my knowledge is not the best with Constantine. I am continuing to learn. I’m also an American writing a Brit. Though, I stand for absolutely no hatred, bullying or mocking my portrayal of him.

✧ My portrayal of John is somewhat in his late 30’s. He uses he/him pronouns. I am basing my portrayal somewhat off the Hellblazer comics, the show from 2014, Legends of Tomorrow, and my own hc. My face claim for him is Matt Ryan.

✧ Constantine is bisexual. He has had past relationships with Zatanna, but is not in a relationship with her at the moment.

✧ He is mentally ill with PTSD, anxiety and depression. Constantine is known to smoke and drink heavily, and does not have the best hygiene habits. This blog will delve into that, and if that is bothersome for you, feel free to not follow.

Character info-

Hey! so this is an OC rp, however i will diverge as little from canon regarding other characters as i can. Her name is Jillian Constantine, and is the daughter of john constantine in an alternate universe.

She was raised with her father in london from the ages 7-10 after her mothers death in a drunk driving incident. she was able to sneak herself a basic magic education through the time spent with her dad, until he was killed in a justice league confrontation offworld, where she was promptly thrown into the local foster system.

using her novice magical abilities she was able to escape to run away and head to america to learn more about magic and superhero-ing around age 14.

currently she moves around frequently, typically bearing a backpack of books and supplies.
