i feed really fucking horrible about it, but i just can't deal with my sister's emetophobia anymore. i try to accomodate it, but she's used it as an excuse to harm me too many times. and it's only me she treats like this. anyone else coughing is fine, but if i cough she HAS to get all up in my face about it. anyone else mentioning not being hungry is fine, but if i dare say anything she'll yell at me. if anyone else is bedbound in pain and sick asking for meds, she'll try to help them. but if it's me? she'll scream at and deny me my meds 'til i'm sobbing in fear and hiding in my blankets, begging her to stop.

[cw: dubcon, exhibitionism methinks?, fingering, degradation, humiliation]
well hello! i’ve been gone a while, yes but FEAR NOT you will never get rid of me (unfortunately) 😈😈 have a mean girl wony (completely different from “magic words” wony btw!) drabble for an appetizer tee hee 😋
Tumblr media Tumblr media
campus princess wony who never fucking batted an eyelash towards her suitors, even the decent ones, but could never get over how you of all things never once looked at her the way everybody does?? every time you walked past her in the hallways without sparing her ass a glance, she was seething 😭😭 but she would never—and i mean never—go out of her way to make you notice her, nope! she was going to make you obsessed with her in the most organic-but-a-bit-flawed way possible! and her best friend’s small slumber party was the best opportunity to do all that 😈
being invited by mutual friends, you showed up in the most loser fit ever that wony almost wondered why the fuck she was so interested until she watched the way you scrunched your nose to raise your glasses—so fucking cute, wony was actually mad that you gave her butterflies 😭 but even in a small group, you still refused to acknowledge her! it was unbelievable; usually people would kill to be in your place, to be that close physically with her but noooo, apparently you were some hotter shit 😒😒
wony has had the luxury of watching you this entire night… you were so cool and laid-back, you got along with everyone pretty well (except wonyoung), but you were somewhat reserved… you intrigued wonyoung, but she had to save the pleasantries and introductions later bcs holy fuck she needed to hear that pretty voice of yours whimper and moan for her 😳😳 eventually she didn’t care that you were completely ignoring her bcs all she wanted at this point was to fuck you senseless,, that oughta get your attention…
wony following you into one of the bedrooms to get some extra pillows and blankets,, saying that she was there to help until she grabbed you and pressed your up against the door,,
“what the hell are you doing?!”
“do me a favor and shut up.”
her putting one of your wrists behind your waist and pinning the other to the door as she grinds against your ass, nose up in your hair and then leaving soft kisses down the side of your neck… “w-wonyoung, what the fuck?! let me go! a-ah.. don’t…” squirming and resisting as much as you could but ofc crumbling down the moment wony’s kisses get stronger, sloppier, hungrier… completely being at her mercy eventually, moaning at every kiss she leaves on her skin as she always thought you should be… “mhm, all wet..” she whispers in your ear while she felt up your pussy through your soaked panties :((
“a-aahn..! sto—wait, they’ll hear us…”
“good. i want them to.”
holding onto wony’s wrist while she rubbed your clit harshly,, biting down on your lip but it wasn’t enough with the added pleasure of wonyoung’s breath in your ear 😣 “should’ve known this is what it would take for you to look at me… i would’ve fucked you earlier, unnie.” 🫠 her letting out a moan when she slipped two fingers inside you?? relishing in the feeling of your warmth and how tight you were,, you weren’t a virgin by any means but it still caught you off guard… having to clamp your hand around your mouth to muffle your moans,, but wony was quick to swat your hand away,, “bad unnie.” she said through gritted teeth 😵‍💫😵‍💫
the very obvious dilemma you were having with yourself was enjoyable to witness for wonyoung.. how you actively tried to resist her by your breathy “no”s and “stop”s, but would grind back against her and moan so loudly whenever her fingers hit your sweet spots 🫣 but when she notices that you were stopping yourself from cumming.. oh she got mad 😵‍💫 “still keeping the act, huh? fine then.” and she just starts fucking you harder from behind 🫠🫠 she was relentless—pumping her fingers in and out of your cunt and snapping her wrist when she hits that spot just to drive you insane, slapping your ass until it was red, leaving scratch marks on your waist... it was all very effective bcs she had you screaming immediately 😳
her ripping your pajama top off without a single care in the world,, “don’t give me that look, unnie. i’ll buy you a new one.” she jokes but not really—she can buy you a whole mall and you wouldn’t even have to ask! 🫣🫣 wony taking note of the way the sweetest, sluttiest sounds escaping your lips once her hand reaches your chest… once again being so turned on that she moans herself,, “you’re so shameless now… you love this, don’t you? you want our friends to know what exactly is being done to you, unnie, hm?” wony pinching your nipple to force you to moan loudly :(( even giggling a bit bcs she just found this so fun??
really, really talks you through when you’re close and cumming 😵‍💫😵‍💫 all up in your ear while she does all the right things to your body… bite marks and hickeys on your shoulder bcs she couldn’t resist.. holds your hips still with her free hand while she fucked you in that same merciless pace, only a lot more harder bcs wony absolutely needed to see you all broken up for her 🫢
“come on, unnie… you’ll cum for me, won’t you?”
“yes, yes…! show them, let them hear you, unnie…”
“fuck, good girl…”
omgjdhchjs she nearly came with you with how horny she was watching you fall apart on her hand… the sight of your juices dripping down your legs and pooling at your feet made wony want to fuck you right there all over again but she had to suffice with licking your cum off her fingers for now 🤭 but wony barely letting you come back to your senses when she just leaves you in that room with nothing but a side glance bcs she’s just that bitchy??? leaving you to clean up your own mess, grab a spare shirt from your friend’s closet, and forcing yourself to show your face to everybody after all of that… dare wony say that your red eyes and flushed cheeks were more of a turn on that literally feeling your pussy clench around her fingers!!
but even if wonyoung treated you like filth.. she was still too pretty… so pretty that you don’t bother to do any resisting when she sneaks into your futon super late in the night, ready to make you see the stars all over again 🫣

✵✧ ೃ༄*ੈ✩⊹ ⋆。˚⋆ she loves me, she loves me not,,
part one ; beginning of the end
next part
paige bueckers x fem!reader (fake dating trope)
Tumblr media
you didn’t care when you found out your ex got a new girlfriend. you were completely over her and her antics, realizing in the last few months of your relationship how utterly exhausting it was. it wasn’t until you found out that her new girlfriend was the girl she cheated on you with that you cared.
it was stupid really, the whole situation. your ex girlfriend, bianca, cheated on you whilst out at a party, you hadn’t gone, opting to instead watch one of paige’s home games with her team. you met paige your freshman year, instantly growing an inseparable bond with her. she was absolutely your closest friend, much to bianca’s disliking. you chopped it up to the fact that bianca wasn’t a fan of any of your friends and left it at that.
when bianca tried justifying her cheating on you because of your close relationship with paige, it took you off guard.
you were waiting for your girlfriend to show up. your heart was racing and your breath uneven but honestly, it was long overdue. it had been months since you actually shared a happy moment with bianca, easily able to find more enjoyment in your friends.
you’d found out from a close friend that she had cheated on you at least once, maybe more. your friend spotted her at a party with a girl, kissing and grinding on each other. it was all making sense to you now. the way she was almost too close, too clingy. as if she was overcompensating for a mistake. a huge mistake.
“babe? what’s up?”
“why’d you fuck another girl at a party two weeks ago?”
she went silent, eyes wide with shock. her face spoke for her, affirming that what you thought to be true actually was. even though your relationship had been rocky, especially towards the end, it still broke your heart. she was your high school sweetheart. she even committed to uconn just for you.
it meant fuck all now.
“don’t act like you’re so innocent, princess.”
she doesn’t even try to deny it, immediately spitting back at you. you’re not even sure what she’s referring to, but it looks like she believes it.
“what are you talking about?”
“really?!” she scoffs, “don’t act like you don’t know what i’m talking about. i know about you and paige, how you’ve been sneaking around behind my back.”
“are you fucking dumb?! paige and i are just friends bianca! oh my god- even when you know you’ve done something wrong you can’t admit it.”
you were walking around the corner of the counter when she grabbed you hard. her aggressive behavior was nothing new, but it didn’t make it hurt any less. part of you was wishing it would work out, but a greater part of you was glad she’d finally pushed you over the edge.
“let go of me and get the hell out.”
“excuse me?!”
“i said, get the fuck out, and don’t fucking come back.”
PRESENT DAY
you, paige, and some of your mutual friends were out at your favorite bar. it was a friday night and none of you had anything better to do.
you’d done some rotations: drinking, dancing, singing, sitting down, dancing again, but now you were back to sitting. you took a seat next to paige and she was thankful for that, but you hardly acknowledged her.
after bianca’s excuse for cheating on you being your close relationship with paige, you had distanced yourself considerably. you stopped showing up randomly to her dorm and practices, stopped calling, and stopped asking to hang out too. paige knew you and bianca broke up and kept telling herself you were just trying to get over that. occasionally she’d reach out to ask you if you were doing okay, sometimes it’d take you more than a day to answer.
it hurt paige more than it should’ve and she knew that. for years, ever since she’d met you, she’s had feelings for you. even when she tried to avoid them, you were all she could think about. it was difficult considering you had a psycho girlfriend that you refused to let go of until recently. even now that you were single it was no use, not if you were going to treat her like she didn’t exist.
you hadn’t noticed bianca and her new girlfriend walk in, too enamored by the bubbles in your drink. paige noticed though, watching the way your ex’s eyes scanned the room. paige looked away before she got caught staring, settling her elbows back on the bar.
“have you been having a good night?” paige asked just to get some conversation flowing with you. she missed being so close to you, even if she knew she always wanted more. she’d rather settle for a friendship with you than have nothing at all.
“s’been good. might go home soon though,”
“want me to take you home princess?” it was a teasing nickname that she called you, an old inside joke. when bianca heard it she decided to start calling you that too unironically, completely unaware of the joke.
“i think-”
“princess.”
bianca’s voice cut through the atmosphere like a sharpened knife, offering a completely different tone than the way paige said it. her new girlfriend must’ve run off somewhere, seeing as it was only her that had approached you. she took the barstool next to you, sliding her chair to face you. she looks unimpressed and expectant, not surprised to see paige lingering by your side.
“i need to talk to you.”
“talk to your new girlfriend. y’know, the one you cheated on me with.”
“she’s not my girlfriend” —another toxic lie “i just want to talk to you.”
“no.”
“princess-”
“fuck you.” you seethe out a her, hoping it’s enough to keep her quiet. unfortunately though, it isn’t.
“don’t talk to me like that.”
you try avoiding bianca, turning to paige and muttering a quick ‘can we go.’ it’s difficult to hear you but she does, standing up and pushing her chair in. bianca loathes paige, always has. as soon as you met paige all you wanted to do was talk about her, hang out with her, study with her, and bianca couldn’t stand it.
“and you tried calling me dumb when i found out you two were hooking up behind my back,” she scoffs as if it’s obvious.
paige’s eyebrows knit in confusion, you never mentioned that part. paige doesn’t know what made bianca think that, but she secretly wishes there was some truth to it, as bad as it may be. even when doing something she knows is wrong, paige has never regretted a second spent with you.
you knew you were probably too drunk to make a decision this big. as soon as the thought popped into your head you favored it, wanting to get back at bianca for all she put you through. you didn’t even give it a second thought, your mouth running faster than any of your cognitive abilities at the moment.
“guess you were right, but hey— she treats me better than you ever did.”
both bianca and paige are shocked, completely taken aback by your statement. what were you getting at?
“so what- you’re dating now?”
“yep. thanks for helping me realize i could do so much better.”
before you have time to show your fleeting confidence and the fact that you just lied straight through your teeth, you grab paige’s hand and walk off. you’re honestly not sure how she’ll react or how you’ll move from here.
either of you say a word until you’re in the silent safety of her car. she turns to face you, a blank expression written across her face. it makes it difficult to figure out what’s going on in her mind. you wish you could tell, it’d probably make things easier. you can tell that she’s a bit flustered, but maybe that’s just because of how hot it was inside.
“paige?”
“yeah?”
“i know this is probably going to be a really weird question and maybe the question itself is too late because i’ve already dug us into this hole but i swear you don’t have to go through with it..”
“okay..”
“will you, um.. will you be my fake girlfriend?”
she’s conflicted, torn between her better judgement and overall feelings for you. her body surges with anger at the way bianca talked to you tonight. but her body also swells with pride and attraction after hearing you say those things about dating her, even if she knows it’s not real. she wants it to be real so desperately and she’s knows she’s already made up her mind without needing to think it through.
one hand is on the steering wheel and the other drags itself down her face, questioning internally if she’s really going to go through with this. her silence settles on you, panic rising as you realize maybe you’ve just ruined your friendship. or what was left of it.
“you can say no obviously-”
“i’ll do it.”

The first two Tawny fics: When You Loved Me & Home Is Where His Heart Is
A/N: The general consensus for Tawny is that they are a woman but I will continue to write them as gender neutral
Thank you to @hom3landr for being my beta
Tumblr media
Homelander wakes with a start, sitting up and trembling, breathing fast in panic. He was back in the incinerator again, watching all the scientists while he cried and screamed from the pain.
Warm hands cup his cheeks, trying to ground him and he looks at you through blurry eyes.
“You're okay, you're okay. It was just a bad dream. You're here in my house, in the bed in the spare room.”
He nods slowly, the information slowly working through the swirling thoughts dominating his mind until it properly sinks in, bringing a sense of calm.
Your hands fall away from his face once you see that he's settled, taking his hands and squeezing tight. You've come to his aid just like you did when he was a child.
A parent comforting their son.
“I killed them.”
The words slip out before he can stop them, admitting to only one of his many crimes but one that was relevant to you. He searches your eyes for a reaction, fully expecting you to demand that he leave and never darken your door again.
“You were going to kill me too.”
It’s a statement, not a question - as if you’ve resigned yourself to the truth before he can confirm or deny it. He wants to hang his head in shame but he can’t, his eyes fixated on your face, trying to prepare himself for your reaction.
“It wasn’t a coincidence that you showed up at my door,” your tone is indistinguishable. “It was only a matter of time.”
You knew. You knew why I was here but you still let me in.
“Vogelbaum, Edgar, Barbara. One had to be careless enough to leave the tiniest scrap of information about me. Usually, all records would have been scrub-”
“There was an old file,” he interjects, cutting you off. “They’d probably forgotten to destroy it.”
You hum a thoughtful yet morose noise, only adding further to Homelander’s anxiety. He’d lost you once, had you almost completely erased from his memory but now that he’s found you again, he won’t let you go.
He can’t.
“Frank? Marty?” You start to list various names, only for him to nod in response. “Barbara?”
“I left her alive,” he hesitates, scared to reveal the details. “I locked her in that room, with what was left of them.”
You tighten your grip on his hands, your jaw tight and eyes downcast. You lick your lips, clearly preparing to say something but with each second you remain silent, his chest tightens, making it uncomfortable for him to breathe.
“What did she say to you?”
“That you… all of you. That you were all scared of me, from the moment I was born.”
You’re looking him in the eye and it feels like you’re looking straight into his soul.
“I was never scared of you John,” the words are laced with honesty, spoken with conviction. “You were just a little boy. If you hurt me, hell, if you even killed me back in the lab, it would only have been in self-defence.”
Your grip is like a vice, not uncomfortable or painful to him - it’s as if you refuse to let go just in case you lose him again.
He swallows, “She said that I could have broken out of there anytime I wanted, that they couldn’t have stopped me. That I stayed because I couldn’t stand the idea that they’d all be disappointed in me. My need for approval and love.”
You’re trembling now, he can hear your heart beating a mile a minute. He can see it, written all over your face. You’re upset but differently - you’re angry, even more than that, you’re furious.
This is pure unbridled rage.
“That fucking bitch,” you seethe. “You stayed because you couldn’t stand the idea that they’d all be disappointed in you? That entire lab was built to withstand a nuclear blast and, in that room, there was damage around the door where you tried to punch your way out. There was no way you could escape.”
It all boils over, your body slumped as the dam breaks, the tears you’ve kept inside for what must have been years spill forth, cascading down your cheeks and neck, dripping onto the duvet beneath you.
“I should have taken you.”
Now it’s his turn to comfort you as he pulls you into a hug, trying his best not to crush you with his strength but wanting to hold you tight enough so you can truly understand how much you mean to him.
“Oh John, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry.”
He's heard those words fall from your lips so many times yet they've not lost their sincerity. Every time, you seem more genuine in your regret.
This is your penance.
“Can you stay with me? Not until I fall asleep, for the whole night. I don't want to dream about the lab again.”
“Of course I can.”
He releases you and you get into bed, lying back with your head on the pillow and arms open, allowing him to cuddle up to you.
His head is pressed to your chest and, although he can hear your heartbeat from a mile away, hearing it up close unlocks a memory.
Sitting on your lap, his head against your chest while you wrapped him up in your arms, singing to him as you rocked him.
The gentle beating of your heart then, as it does now, soothes him, and reminds him of how safe he is with you — a security blanket in human form.
He almost wants to ask for you to return to the Tower with him, to live permanently in his penthouse where you'll always be within easy reach.
But it's a huge ask - you'd be uprooting your life, leaving everything you've ever known to start anew back at the company that fired you for caring about a scared little boy. Yet there’s something comforting about knowing that he can just turn up at any time of the day and play pretend, that instead of growing up in a lab, he grew up in this house with you.
He grew up with someone who loved him.
“I’ve missed you so much,” your voice breaks, prompting him to cuddle closer. “You have no idea how happy I was to see you again. It was like I was given a second chance, to be there for you, to love you like my own son.”
Like my own son.
That confirms that you feel the same as he does, that the love between you is strictly platonic, the love between a parent and a child.
“I love you, Tawny.”
“I love you too, John.”
You were my sunshine, my only sunshine
You made me happy when I was afraid
They must have known then, just how much you loved me.
So they took my sunshine away.

When the phone rings for the fourth time you stomp your heels on the ground and push back from your desk with an exasperated huff.
“What the hell is he…?” you mutter as you look down at the screen and see Steve’s number. Again.
You push the door to Javi’s office open without a knock and fold your arms across your chest.
“Want to answer the phone some time today?”
Javi looks up from the open drawer of his filing cabinet and narrows his eyes.
“I’m busy.”
When he dismisses you with the drop of his head, refocusing on his papers, you growl out a curse.
“Don’t you dare…”
Your threat is cut off when the phone in his office rings. He looks up and gives you a warning glare, daring you to answer it.
You throw him a fake saccharine smile and start to turn around, only to spin back toward his desk and rush for the phone when he’s no longer looking.
His low “fuck,” is all your hear before you grab the receiver and pick up with a friendly, “hello, this is the office of Javier Pena, how many I help you.”
Javi crowds you against his desk, his hard chest pressed to yours and his breath warm against your cheek as he exhales.
You swallow hard but square your shoulders and focus on the call.
“Oh sure Steve, he’s right here…mm hmm.”
You keep your eyes on his, refusing to back down even as your own body betrays you and you lean closer.
Javi rests his hands along the edge of the desk on either side of you and dips his head until his lips brush the shell of your ear, his whisper deep and low. “I said I was busy.”
Thankful that he can’t see your face you drag your teeth over your bottom lip before gathering yourself again to chirp into the phone, “oh he’s not busy at all, one second.”
You cover the mouthpiece and smile. “It’s Steve. He’s been trying to reach you all afternoon.” Your tone is dripping with fake sugariness.
Javi just stares, his dark eyes sweeping over your face until they land on your lips and linger.
He scoffs and wraps his hand around the handset, covering yours with his calloused but warm skin.
“What?” he says into the phone as he keeps you trapped against the desk.
You pull your hand free of the phone and flatten your palms against his chest with a push.
He doesn’t budge, his gaze still locked on yours.
“Move,” you grit out under your breath and give him another shove.
He takes a slow step backward, just enough to let you brush past him and as you do your scent fills the air and he inhales deeply, his eyes fluttering closed.
Even as you walk out of his office you feel the persistent heat of him still close and your traitorous body trembles.
“Fuck,” he mutters.
“What was that?” Steve asks through the phone.
“What…nothing. Fuck.”
Steve sighs on the other end and Javi pinches the bridge of his nose.
“What do you want Steve?”
“Man she really riles you up huh?” Steve teases.
“Who…what?” Javi stammers, now rubbing his temple. “Just tell me why you called four times.”
Tumblr media
You’re typing something up when the door to Javi’s office opens with a slam. He steps out with his tie hanging haphazardly around his neck and his jacket thrown over one shoulder.
“I’ll be gone for the rest of the day,” he says indifferently as he walks by. “You can leave all my messages on the desk.
“You’re tie is completely crooked,” you spit back at him.
He stops a few feet from you and looks down and you take the opportunity to get a good look at his ass. It makes you angry that he’s so attractive and that you’re so attracted to him and when he turns your way you have a scowl on your face.
“Didn’t know that was such a problem for you,” he says as he drops his jacket on a nearby desk chair and starts to fiddle with his tie.
You watch as he struggles with the material and clearly grows more frustrated with each passing second.
With a roll of your eyes you stand and step into his space, smacking away his hands until he drops them with a sigh.
“Can’t answer the phone…” you start, “can’t even tie your own tie…what are you going to have me do next Javi?”
As you’re rattling off his shortcomings your fingers are deftly working the fabric until it’s perfectly secure around his neck.
Your last question has him suck in an audible breath and when you meet his eyes they are intense with unspoken promise.
You tighten his tie with an abrupt push and then release him. You barely catch his “thanks” as he practically runs out of the building.
Tumblr media
After packing up your things and heading to your car you decide to take a detour before going home. It’s been a long day and a bite to eat and maybe a drink at the nearby bar will do you some good.
It’s still early enough that when you walk into the dimly lit space there are a lot of open stools at the bar. You park yourself at the far end check out the daily specials.
It isn’t until you’re about to take the first sip of your drink that you feel the weight of his gaze. You make a subtle turn and meet the familiar dark brown eyes of Javi.
He blatantly stares, his lips hovering just above the rim of the glass of amber liquid dangling from his hand.
Your eyes shift to Steve who gives you a head tilt and a smile. You return it before looking back at Javi.
You had no idea they’d be here and they’re most likely working a case so rather than expose them or yourself you turn your attention back to the bar.
The feel of his eyes endures and even though you can’t see him you can still feel the way his body pressed against you as he held you by his desk. The way he smelled. The feel of his skin on yours. It sends a shiver down your spine even as your body heats up.
A group of young men enter the bar in a cacophony of loud voices and scuffling feet. They find a space in the middle of the bar and you study them out of the corner of your eye.
It doesn’t take long for one of them to notice you and send you a flirty smile. You quickly turn away, uninterested.
Before your food comes out you decide to take a bathroom break and slide off the stool and move toward the darkened hallway.
The same guy from before catches your eye and blatantly watches as you walk by, making some inaudible comment to his friend.
You quickly glance at Javi to see his jaw set tightly and his knuckles white as he grips his glass, his own eyes following your every move.
As you disappear around the corner you don’t even hear the footsteps and when you’re whirled around and backed into the wall you almost let out a scream of terror but a familiar hand covers your mouth.
When your eyes meet his you deflate and grab his wrist, pulling his hand away.
“Javi,” you whisper shout, your eyes flashing angrily. “You scared the shit out of me.”
“You need to leave,” he says.
Stealing yourself you stand up straighter and square your shoulders.
“No. I don’t. I don’t have to do anything,” you argue.
“Angel,” Javi pleads, the term of endearment melting your fury instantly. “Please.”
“I was about to have my dinner,” you explain weakly. “Why don’t you want me here.”
Your eyes fall to the ground.
You know why but you want to hear him say it. You want him to tell you it’s because you’re not safe and he wants to protect you.
His fingers touch the soft skin of your jaw, guiding your chin up and your eyes back to his. The calloused pad of his thumb brushes back and forth as his mouth opens to speak.
But footsteps along the creaky floor alert you that someone’s coming and Javi’s body tenses, his eyes filling with worry for a split second before he kisses you.
It isn’t a soft and sweet kiss. No more gentle caresses, no slow tasting. He kisses you like he’s done it a hundred times before and you’re his to kiss.
Your hands reflectively lift to his chest, and for a second he thinks you might push him away, but instead, your hands curl around his tie and you pull him closer, holding him in place.
His head angles to taste more of you, needing more, and he nips your bottom lip when you don’t give in. Your surprised gasp is all the advantage he needs to slip his tongue inside your mouth.
You melt for him, meeting his intensity without restraint. He pushes you harder against the unyielding wall and your arms slide up and around his neck. He rocks his hips and you moan into his mouth.
He swallows the sound, desperate to hear it again and again.
“Ahem,” a too-close voice says.
Steve.
You startle and Javi jumps, your mouth leaving his as you follow the sound.
“Sorry to break up the party,” Steve smirks. “But we need to move.”
“How long were you standing there watching,” Jave grits out, giving Steve a thunderous glare.
Steve’s hands lift in surrender. “I just got here. Those first footsteps you heard were from one of the targets. Looked like they were going to follow her back here but you beat him to it. Thankfully. Good cover too.”
At Steve’s last added words your face heats and you press your fingers to your swollen and tingling lips.
Javi nods. A simple agreement and dismissal. Steve nods back at Javi then smiles warmly at you before he turns on his heels and heads back.
“You need to leave,” Javi says again, his hand now resting along the wall by the side of your head.
“That’s it? I’m just supposed to leave?” you counter, unable to quell your sassiness when it comes to him.
He sighs dramatically. “Angel…you heard Steve. Just go. He’ll will make sure you get to your car safely.”
You study his face, tracing his features with your eyes and unable to resist the feel of his skin even in your disappointment at his obvious disregard. You lean in and press your lips to the corner of his mouth, the brush of his mustache making you tingle all over.
With that you slip from his hold, keeping your head high as you walk away and go to grab your things, thankful when Steve subtly acknowledges you and makes sure you get safely to your car.

The next morning Javi doesn’t leave his office at all and you sit just outside and stew, replaying every moment of the kiss. When lunch time comes and goes you can’t take it anymore and knock hard on his door.
“Yeah,” you hear from the other side before you push it open and find him seated at his desk, his forehead creased in thought.
“You missed lunch,” you state.
He grunts in acknowledgment and goes back to his papers.
Your hands land on your hips and you step into his office, slamming the door shut.
“So that’s it?”
“What?” he answers.
“You’re just going to pretend like it didn’t happen?”
“Like what didn’t happen?” he shoots back.
“Don’t you dare!” you shout and point a finger at him. “Was it really all just a cover?”
He stands with such force that his chair flies backward and hits the wall with a thud.
Instead of answering he let’s out a frustrated grunt and runs a hand through his already mussed hair.
Somehow it looks better than before and you inwardly curse him out for being so sexy.
“What?” he says as you continue to stare.
You inhale sharply, holding his gaze while you hold your breath.
With unsteady steps you move forward until your close enough to smell him.
“I want you to look me in the eye and tell me that kiss didn’t mean anything to you.”
At your challenging words he clamps his mouth shut. But his eyes say everything and before the moment is gone you reach up and trace your fingers over the fresh cut above his eyebrow.
The feeling of your fingers on his skin makes him exhale softly.
“It’s fine,” he whispers.
“It looks like it hurts. What happened last night?”
“Nothing for you to worry about angel.”
“I’m sorry if I made any trouble for you…”
Your voice trails off, and you look up at him with questioning eyes. Wordlessly you slide your fingertips down the line of his jaw and he leans into your touch.
He turns into your hand and presses a gentle kiss to your palm.
Your name falls from his lips, more of a sound than a word, a rough growl deep in his throat. He looks as if he wants to say more but with one swift movement he has you pressed against the edge of his desk, caging you in with his arms and either side.
You gasp and he captures the sound with a kiss. And not just any kiss. A kiss that steals the breath from your lungs. A kiss that rivals the one from last night. Fiery. Desperate. And very, very real.

drunken confessions part 2 [pazzi]
paige bueckers x azzi fudd
summary: part two to drunken confessions where they’re both sober now
word count: 1.6k
part one | masterlist
Unfortunately, Azzi proved Paige right. For the next few days, she left the apartment before Paige woke up and came in after she fell asleep. Interactions between the two of them at practice were stilted, with Azzi refusing to even make eye contact with the older girl.
Tension between the two peaked when Azzi stopped coming home completely, making excuses to stay over at Aubrey’s place so that she wouldn’t have to face Paige at all. Azzi didn’t remember much from that night - she only remembered the fact that she’d been so stupidly drunk that she’d let her secret out, a secret she’d been planning on taking with her to the grave. Of course, Azzi knew she was being weak, a coward who couldn’t confront her feelings. But she was just so scared - not to mention humiliated that Paige might not feel the same way.
Paige felt like she was about to burst. The past week had been sending her into a frenzy, her heart beating erratically whenever she walked into practice and saw Azzi, who made it a point to ignore her the entire time. Her nights were sleepless, her mind too overwhelmed by images of Azzi in that tight top, grinding on her lap with her abs on full display, looking at her lips. She’d only been able to get a couple of hours of sleep after she took care of herself, relieving the ache in her core and exhausting her body.
For the fifth night in a row, Paige looked over at her clock and saw 2 AM blinking back at her. Fuck it, she thought. If Azzi’s the reason I can’t sleep right now, she’s gonna have to deal with it. So Paige grabbed her keys and jogged down the stairs until she reached the floor of Aubrey’s apartment.
She raised her first to knock on the door, but hesitated. She was sleep deprived and not thinking at right. Was this really the best idea? But Azzi’s taunting smile flashed through her mind again, and she surged forward, thumping aggressively on the door.
It took a few raps until the door swung open, revealing a tired Aubrey, who looked pissed to say the least. “What the hell, Paige?” she grumbled, rubbing her eyes. “Your place better be on fire or else I’m kicking your ass.”
Paige pushed past her. “Where’s Azzi?” She asked, looking around
Aubrey shut the door, a deathly glare on her face. “In Dorka’s old room. Sleeping, like everyone else in the goddamn country is. Like what I should be doing.” Muttering curses under her breath, Aubrey returned to her room.
Paige kicked the carpet, now uncertain again. She looked a sight, with her hair a mess from having run her hands through it thousands of times out of frustration. She knew there were dark circles under her eyes, her makeup still on and a mess. But before her second guessing could turn her around and back into her own apartment, she forced herself to approach Dorka’s old room and knock on the door.
She heard light footsteps, and then a soft voice lazily say “Aubrey?” before Azzi peeked through the door. Paige’s palms started sweating as she looked at Azzi, who was wearing one of Paige’s oversized shirts and very small shorts that displayed her long, tan legs and left very little to imagination. She looked all warm and sleepy, and Paige’s heart skipped.
Azzi yawned, opening her eyes fully before realizing who was standing in front of her. Her eyes widened in shock, and she stepped back. “Paige?”
Paige didn’t know what took over her, but all of a sudden she moved forward, wrapping her arms around the younger girl’s waist and connecting their lips. Azzi let out a gasp of surprise, momentarily frozen before she started to kiss Paige back, her hands tangling themselves in the blonde’s hair.
They moved backwards, neither of them wanting to break the kiss as they fell on the bed. Paige was on top of Azzi, hands circling her sides and her hips, bringing her as close as she could but still not close enough.
Azzi let out a guttural sound as Paige moved to bite the sensitive spot on her neck, tongue tracing patterns into her best friend’s skin. “What,” Azzi gasped, “what are you doing?”
“I’m making you talk to me after shutting me out for a week,” Paige said throatily before resuming her kisses down Azzi’s neck.
“This doesn’t feel like talking,” Azzi whimpered she laced her hand through a fistful of Paige’s hair and tugged. Paige groaned at the feeling. “I think this is more convincing than talking.” She drew back, a smirk playing on her lips as she proudly took in the litter of bruises now covering Azzi’s neck like a canvas.
Azzi’s hands slipped under Paige’s shirt, absorbing the warmth of her skin until her hands stumbled across her bra. She looked up at Paige, whose pupils were dilated, her eyes hooded and face smeared with lipstick.
“Wait,” Paige gasped. “I think I deserve an apology before you get to see my tits.”
Azzi’s hands stilled, and she carefully removed them from under Paige’s shirt. She shivered, suddenly feeling cold. The older girl adjusted her shirt before silently taking a seat on the bed next to Azzi. Their knees bumped into each other, but neither made an effort to break the contact.
“Was me kissing you back not an apology?” Azzi attempted with a half-hearted laugh, but the look on Paige’s face remained serious.
“Wanna try again?”
Azzi winced. Her fingers nervously fiddled with her blanket as she thought of what to say. “I don’t know, P,” she whispered. “I’m just so scared. I can barely recall anything from that night, but I do remember that I admitted my feelings for you.” She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, feeling too weak to be able to look at Paige while saying the next words. “And I remember that you didn’t say anything about liking me back.”
Azzi’s eyes flickered open when Paige’s hand gently wrapped around her own. One by one, Paige took each of Azzi’s fingers and kissed the pad of her fingertips.
“I didn’t say anything back because I wanted you to be fully aware when I finally told you.” Paige’s eyes studied Azzi’s. “I want you to know. I want you to know how much I fucking like you.”
Azzi exhaled, the rigidness leaving her shoulders. “So what does this mean for us?” she asked softly.
“I don’t know.” Paige swallowed. “But I do know that if we both like each other, and we’re willing to try and communicate with each other, then how could anything go wrong?” When Azzi didn’t respond, Paige tilted Azzi’s chin so that their eyes met. “We’ve known each other almost a decade, Az. We’re with each other for the long haul, whether as best friends or more.” Her voice cracked on the last word. “Do you trust in us?”
“Us?”
Paige’s gaze was steady. “Do you trust in us to not fuck it up?” She reached for Azzi’s hand again, this time intertwining their fingers.
Azzi studied their connected hands, relishing the warmth of Paige’s skin, the rough callouses on her palms and fingertips, the way their hands fit so perfectly together. “Yeah,” she breathed. “I do.”
“Good.” Paige tilted her head down, their faces so close that her breath fanned Azzi’s lips. “You gonna run away from me again, ma?”
Azzi blushed, her lips barely grazing Paige’s. “No.”
“Alright,” Paige chuckled. “You can see my tits now.”
Azzi shoved Paige, causing the girl to fall back and double over in laughter. “Shut up,” the younger girl whined.
“‘M sorry,” Paige said, wiping her eyes after she finished wheezing.
Suddenly there was a loud thump from outside, and the door vibrated. Exchanging curious glances, Paige climbed out of the bed and opened the door. Both of the girls’ mouths dropped at the sight of Aubrey, KK, and Ice in a heap on the floor, all of them with wide and guilty eyes like deer in headlights.
“What the fuck?” Azzi pushed past Paige. “Have you guys been listening in on our conversation?”
Aubrey glanced nervously at KK and Ice, who both looked away, suddenly finding the ceiling very interesting. Realizing she was on her own, she stood up, bouncing on her heels. “Uh,” she said, scratching her neck. “Well, when Paige came it wasn’t hard to guess what she was gonna do. And I made a bet with Ice and KK so you know, I had to call them, and we just happened to be near the door, and you guys weren’t exactly being quiet.”
“Oh my god,” Azzi shrilled. “You guys made a bet?”
Panicked, Aubrey gestured at her two teammates. “They did too! Don’t pin this all on me!
Azzi charged at Aubrey, but Paige quickly grabbed her waist and pulled her back. “Woah there, Azzi, let’s calm down a bit.” She turned to Aubrey, trying to give her a stern look but ultimately failing at trying to stifle her laugh. “You all need to leave and stop sticking your nosy asses into our business.”
The girls grumbled but got up to leave. Aubrey turned to head back to her room, but hesitated before turning right back around. “Um, can you guys go back to your apartment too?” Paige and Azzi looked at her in confusion before she stammered, “I really don’t want to hear you guys fucking like rabbits while I’m sleeping in the next room over.”
Azzi grabbed the nearest pillow off the couch and chucked it at Aubrey, who scampered off into her room and slammed the door. Laughing, Paige grabbed Azzi. “Come on, babe, let’s go.”

“Tonight is the night,” Nancy says.
She says it with so much gravity that it makes Eddie look up from his spot on the couch, drawing his attention away from the email he’s reading (lyrics from Jeff that he wants input on). He whistles.
“Damn, Nance, you look good,” he says. She has her hair and makeup done and she’s wearing her favorite dress, the one that looks black until the right light hits it and reveals it’s actually purple. Eddie may be as gay as they come, but he can recognize that she looks sexy as hell. “The night for what?”
She takes a deep breath. “I’m going to ask Robin to be my girlfriend.”
“Hell yeah!” Eddie says, putting his hand out for a high-five. She returns it before sitting on the couch next to him. “You have a date tonight?”
“No, remember? It’s the party.”
Right. Nancy spent twenty minutes the other day trying to convince Eddie to come with her to the party that Robin and her housemates are throwing. He refused. He’s met Robin a few times and really likes her—and he knows Nancy is completely head over heels for her—but he’s not big on house parties where he doesn’t know anyone. Especially because it’s a guarantee that Nancy will abandon him immediately to be with Robin.
“Do you think that’s a terrible place to do it?” Nancy asks, “And do you think it’s too soon?”
Eddie shrugs. He’s shit at relationships, so he doesn’t know the rules. “I think you’re fine,” he says, “You guys are clearly crazy about each other. I think you could take her to, like, a sewage plant and ask her to be your girlfriend and she’d still be over the moon.”
She gives him a tiny smile. “Will you please come?” she asks. “I’m just so nervous about it and it would really help to have my best friend there.”
Unfair. She’s giving him her biggest doe eyes. It shouldn’t work on him because he knows she only makes that face when she’s trying to manipulate him. But even though he knows what she’s doing, she’s just so adorable. He can’t say no to her.
He sighs. “God, fine,” he says. He looks down at his worn out t-shirt and hole-riddled sweatpants. “I probably have to change, huh?”
Forty-five minutes later, Eddie is circling the block looking for a spot to park. Normally Nancy drives when they go somewhere together because she hates his driving, but he insisted tonight because he has a feeling that she’s going to end up staying the night and he doesn’t want to be trapped. As they drive, Nancy has been giving Eddie the rundown on Robin’s housemates. There’s Max and Lucas, the couple who are Nancy’s brother Mike’s age. She’s convinced that they would get along really well with Mike and his boyfriend Will, so she keeps trying to figure out an organic way for them to meet. She tells Eddie that she invited them to the party but never heard if they’ll actually be there. Then there’s Steve, Robin’s best friend who works with her at the same library where Robin and Nancy originally met (because Nancy was doing research for a story and had to access the archives for some records that were never digitized). Nancy keeps telling Eddie that she thinks he’s either going to fall madly in love with Steve or hate his guts. So Eddie guesses he’s about to find out which one it’ll be.
He finally finds a spot on the street around the corner. He squeezes his van into the tiny space and puts it in park before glancing over at Nancy. She looks nervous, taking slow, even breaths to steady herself while her hands shake.
“Hey,” he says, putting his hand out. She puts her hand in his and he squeezes it tight. “You’ve got this. Robin’ll be a goddamn idiot if she says no.”
She gives him a small smile. “Thank you,” she says, then tosses her shoulders back. “Let’s do this.”
They get out of the van, where Nancy makes him stop so she can fix the collar of his battle vest that’s standing up. It’s a pretty warm night, so he’s had to forgo his favorite leather jacket plus vest combo. Instead, it’s just the vest over top of a Nekrogoblikon t-shirt paired with his favorite black jeans. He feels really underdressed next to Nancy, but she told him it was fine when he showed her the outfit for approval.
Inside, the house is pretty packed. Right away, Eddie sees that Mike and Will made it after all, along with Will’s sister El. They’re all sitting side by side on a couch talking to three people who are sitting cross-legged on the ground in front of them.
“That’s Max and Lucas,” Nancy tells Eddie, pointing out two of the kids on the ground. “Not sure who the other one is.”
As they get closer, Mike glances up and waves. But the group seems pretty engrossed in their conversation, so Eddie and Nancy move deeper into the house.
Eddie feels Nancy clench his wrist. “That’s Steve,” she hisses, nodding significantly in the direction of the kitchen. His eyes find the guy she’s pointing out, ladling punch into a red Solo cup and—
Fuck.
He’s the most beautiful guy Eddie’s ever seen. Nancy way undersold him. He gets that there’s a certain amount of leeway he needs to grant to her as a lesbian since she can’t really tell, but come on. Eddie could be full on blind and still recognize that Steve is unreal. His swooping brown hair catches the last of the setting sun coming in through the window and turns it all shades of honey. His eyes are the same, amber in the dying light. And it’s like his face has been sculpted from stone—not marble—something better than that. Some stone they haven’t invented yet because nothing else currently on this earth could capture him.
Belatedly, he becomes aware of Nancy laughing at him. Somehow, she can always follow his thoughts. Always knows when he’s composing terrible sonnets in his mind. But just as she’s opening her mouth (definitely to make fun of him), Robin appears in front of them. Eddie watches her cheeks flame as she looks Nancy up and down.
“Hi, Nancy!” she says, “Glad you made it!”
“Of course I did!” Nancy says, eyes practically turning into hearts and popping out of her head. “I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
Robin reaches her hands out to grasp Nancy’s. “You look gorgeous,” she says, “I love that dress.”
Eddie can tell this is going to veer into territory where he can’t follow very quickly, so he cuts in. “Hey, Robin, nice to see you.”
Robin blinks at him. “Oh, hey!” she says, “I didn’t see you.”
That was apparent. Not that Eddie’s upset about it. He loves seeing the two girls like this, loves that Nancy has found someone who matches her intensity.
They get through the bare minimum small talk (work is good, yes they all watched that new episode of that show, yes it was crazy), but Eddie can see that Nancy and Robin want to be alone. So he lets Robin drag Nancy away, presumably to her bedroom. And now he just needs to figure out what he’s going to do now that the only two people he knows here are preoccupied.
Well, that’s not entirely accurate. He knows Mike, Will, and El. He looks over, but they’re no longer sitting in the living room. He scans the crowd for them and sees Mike and Will have moved to the kitchen (apparently Steve has moved on—that’s unfortunate) where they’re talking to Lucas and the other guy Eddie doesn’t know. Eddie makes his way over to them, stopping by the punch bowl on his way.
“Eddie!” Mike says as soon as he sees him. “Lucas and Dustin here play D&D. Can we invite them to Hellfire?”
Eddie crosses his arms and surveys the two guys, sizing them up. Dustin looks like the type, with a Star Wars shirt and a goofy grin. Lucas looks way too athletic to be into D&D though. Not nearly enough of a loser.
“I don’t know,” he says, “Are you guys any good?”
That causes both boys to launch into tales of their various past exploits on campaigns, apparently not giving a shit that they’re yelling over each other so Eddie can’t tell anything they’re saying. He feels the passion, though.
“Alright,” he concedes, “You can sit in for a session. If you’re good, we’ll let you stick around.”
Whooping, Mike and Will high-five each other, then Lucas and Dustin.
“Where’s your sister?” Eddie asks Will.
Will nods over to an adjacent wall. “Over there talking to Max and Steve,” he says. Eddie follows his gaze and sees the trio. More specifically, his eyes are drawn to Steve. He’s so goddamn beautiful, even in the artificial light now that the sun has disappeared below the horizon.
Well, isn’t this a perfect opportunity? “I’m gonna go say hi,” Eddie says casually, nodding in farewell to Will, Mike, Lucas, and Dustin. Then, red Solo cup in hand, he starts heading in the direction of El, Steve, and Max.
In a way, it’s just too damn predictable.
Eddie is walking toward the group, feeling pretty good, doing his best to look cool and nonchalant. He’s about five feet away and Steve glances up, eyes flicking over him. And Eddie’s so caught up in the euphoria of being seen (and maybe admired?) by Steve that he completely misses someone’s purse on the ground. He trips over it, doesn’t manage to right himself, and goes sprawling. To add insult to injury, he doesn’t manage to keep hold of his cup of punch and manages to spill it all over himself and Steve.
Great.
“Fuck, man, I’m so sorry,” Eddie says, hopping to his feet and putting his hands out like he can—what? Wipe away the bright red punch from Steve’s white shirt? God, he’s so stupid.
Steve is looking down at himself in surprise, then back up at Eddie. “It’s cool,” he says. Fuck, his voice is so sexy. Eddie can’t believe that the first thing he did when trying to approach this guy was spill punch all over him. When did he become such a mess?
Max laughs. “I told you not to wear white, dingus,” she says. Steve scowls at her.
“Only Robin gets to call me dingus,” he says. “And you told me not to wear white because you think I look ugly in it, not because you thought I would spill on it.”
Max shrugs. “Different reasoning, same end result,” she says breezily.
Alright, Eddie is definitely gonna need to befriend this girl as soon as he stops wanting to die of mortification. If that happens.
“Seriously, man, I’m so sorry,” Eddie says, “I can, like, buy you a new shirt, or—”
Steve waves him off. “Seriously, it’s cool,” he says, “Honestly, I got this shirt in a pack of five from Target so it’s not a big loss.” He looks over Eddie again. His all black ensemble probably doesn’t reveal the punch as much, but Eddie can feel the wet patches sticking to his skin. “C’mon, I’ll lend you something to change into.”
Not about to complain about the prospect of seeing the inside of Steve’s room, Eddie follows him down the hall and through a door. It’s a nice bedroom, tidy without feeling sterile. There are posters for bands on the wall that Eddie doesn’t listen to but doesn’t disrespect either. An acoustic guitar is leaning against a desk that’s stacked with neat piles of books. There are twinkle lights along the bedframe, giving the room a cheerful glow. And it’s a comfy looking bed, with a thick white comforter and fluffy pillows.
Stop staring at his bed, you absolute creep.
“I’m Eddie by the way,” Eddie says, looking back over at Steve. Who is very shirtless. Apparently having peeled his wet shirt off, he’s now standing facing the closet. Goddamn. The smooth expanse of his back is on display, toned and freckled. Eddie wants to bite it.
Steve looks over his shoulder at Eddie. “Yeah, I know,” he says.
“You do?”
“Yeah.” Steve grins, turning more fully around. Don’t stare at his chest don’t stare at his chest don’t stare at his— “After Robin met Nancy she made a whole ass PowerPoint of her Instagram photos. You’re in some of ‘em.”
Eddie feels a little flustered that Steve knew who he was before Eddie knew him. What did he think? Did Steve think he was good looking? Or was he even paying attention? Then Eddie wrinkles his nose, the rest of the context registering.
“A whole PowerPoint, huh?” Eddie asks.
Steve shrugs (his shoulders are so pretty, fuck). “Yeah, it’s kinda what we do,” he says, “Anything significant happens, we share it with each other in excruciating detail. And Robbie knows I’m a visual learner so slideshows work pretty well.”
“Fair enough.”
Steve turns back to the closet and rifles through the hangers. “Good news is I think we’re about the same size,” he says. He produces a plain black t-shirt. “Does this work?”
“I’ll take whatever you give me,” Eddie says (God, he hopes that comes off less horny than it sounds to his ears). “I’m the one who spilled punch all over us.”
Eyes fixed on Eddie’s chest, Steve comes back over. Eddie resists the urge to cross his arms over himself. But obviously, Steve’s just looking at the stains, not him. “Your vest was mostly saved,” Steve says. He touches a spot below one of the buttons on Eddie’s chest, making Eddie’s heart leap into his throat. “There’s a bit, but I think Max has some stuff for stains we can borrow.”
“Cool,” Eddie says. His voice definitely sounds unnatural, and he thinks Steve notices, eyes flicking up to his. Those pretty, pretty eyes. Up close, his eyelashes are so long. And his face is dotted with moles. Eddie wants to touch every one of them. “I’m not really that worried about it,” he chokes out.
Shrugging, Steve hands him the black shirt. And then he just stands there, watching. “Um,” Eddie says. Does Steve really expect him to just strip down right in front of him? He can’t present his incredibly mediocre shirtless self to the most beautiful man he’s ever seen.
Steve lifts his eyebrows. “What’re you waiting for?”
“Uh, nothing,” Eddie says.
This isn’t weird. Right? It’s only weird if he keeps acting all weird about it. But he can be all cool and casual about this like Steve was. So he shrugs out of his battle vest, draping it over the desk chair along with the borrowed shirt, and then tugs his own shirt over his head. Steve’s standing a little closer than Eddie realized, so his arms bump against him as he untangles them from the shirt. Totally fine, totally normal. Totally not gonna obsess about the feeling of Steve’s skin against his for the next 3-5 business days.
As soon as Eddie has laid his shirt over his battle vest, he feels featherlight fingers brushing over the demon tattoo on his chest. He sucks in a breath, frozen to the spot. What is happening right now?
He risks a glance at Steve, whose eyes are trained on Eddie’s tattoos. “I was curious what these looked like up close,” Steve says, “I should admit I actually have seen you shirtless before. I kind of stalked your Instagram.”
What? That’s not computing. First of all, Steve, most gorgeous man to ever exist, stalked Eddie’s Instagram? Second of all, Eddie has shirtless pics on his Instagram? He doesn’t have the confidence to post that kind of thing. Except no, there is a picture on there from when he went to the beach with Gareth and Jeff a month or two ago. But what? Steve has seen it? And it was significant enough for him to remember?
Steve looks at Eddie, eyebrows furrowing. “Is that creepy?”
“No, but—” Eddie shakes his head. “Me?”
“Yeah.” Steve grins. “I think you’re pretty.”
Maybe Eddie hit his head when he fell. Maybe he’s hallucinating this. Maybe he’s gonna wake up on the floor out there, and Steve calling him pretty will all have been a delicious, far-fetched dream. Because there’s just no way.
“You think I’m pretty,” Eddie says. When Steve nods, Eddie almost laughs. “And have you happened to look in a mirror recently?”
Steve laughs. “Yeah,” he says, “But somehow, I’m not my own type.”
He keeps leaning in closer and it’s making it very hard for Eddie to come up with something intelligent to say. He should make a joke or something to prove that he’s very cool and collected, but his brain turns more and more to static the longer he stares into Steve’s eyes.
“Um,” Eddie says. Clever. What’s wrong with him? He doesn’t usually get this flustered. But then, he doesn’t usually talk to guys who look like Steve.
Steve’s smile is very self-satisfied as those gossamer fingers of his trail down past Eddie’s tattoos and brush over his nipple. Eddie takes in a sharp breath. “You often invite strangers who you’ve been stalking into your room to get ‘em shirtless and feel ‘em up?” he asks, aiming for aloof and entirely missing the mark.
“Hmm, just the ones that spill punch on me,” Steve says, pinching Eddie’s nipple slightly. “And just the ones that I catch staring at me.” He leans in, putting his mouth inches away from Eddie’s ear. “I don’t think you’re as subtle as you think you are.”
Unable to resist any longer, Eddie slides his hands around Steve’s waist. His skin is so smooth, so velvety. “Who says I’m trying to be subtle?” he asks.
Grinning, Steve wraps his free arm around Eddie’s neck and pulls him in. Eddie kisses Steve eagerly. His lips are heavenly, so much softer than most guys Eddie has kissed. He tastes like strawberry lipgloss and punch. And he kisses like they have all the time in the world, which maybe they do. Nancy’s off with Robin somewhere, so there’s no reason Eddie needs to rejoin the party any time soon.
They wind up on Steve’s bed, Steve on his back under Eddie. Eddie gets the fingers of one hand tangled in Steve’s hair. So silky, just like everything else about him. The man defines the word soft. It makes Eddie a little crazy, makes him want to dig his teeth and fingers in, ruin the undisturbed perfection. He goes after Steve hungrily, attacking his jaw and throat and collarbones like he’s starving. Steve seems happy to let him, pulling Eddie’s hips down flush with his and rolling his own hips gently up.
Eddie’s just thinking that he’d be happy to never stop kissing Steve exactly like this when there’s a knock at the door. He pulls away and looks at it while Steve sighs.
“I have to answer that,” he says, sounding resigned.
“You sure you have to?” Eddie asks, brushing the hair back off Steve’s forehead. He looks sort of wrecked, red marks already starting to form on his neck.
Steve nods. “If it’s Robin or Max they’ll just let themselves in after thirty seconds.”
He edges out from under Eddie and crosses over to the door. Eddie feels vindicated that he has to adjust himself in his jeans before opening the door a crack.
“Hey, Robbie,” he says, “What’s up?”
“Steve! I have huge news!” Robin says from just out of sight. “Nancy asked me to be her—wait, why don’t you have a shirt on?”
Steve is forced back as Robin pushes the door open farther and pokes her head in. She looks over at the bed, sees Eddie, and grins. “Oh, that’s why,” she says, mischief in her voice.
“Hey, what’s up?” Eddie says, trying to sound casual.
“Eddie?” He hears Nancy’s voice from the hall, and then her head is appearing in the doorway next to Robin’s. As soon as she sees him, she gives a triumphant laugh. “I knew it!”
Eddie buries his face in his hands, sure it’s burning.
“Alright that’s enough,” he hears Steve say. Then there’s the overlapping protests from the girls before the door clicks shut again.
Removing his hands, Eddie risks another glance and sees Steve coming back over to the bed, shaking his head. He slides onto the mattress next to Eddie and puts his arms around him. “Can you believe them?” he asks, not quite managing to hide his smile.
Smiling back, Eddie pinches Steve in the side. “You sure you should have closed the door on them?” he asks, “Sounds like they had big news.”
Steve shrugs. “It’s fine,” he says, “They can tell us in the morning.”
“Morning, huh? Think we’re gonna be occupied until then?”
Smile turning devious, Steve kisses Eddie once before rolling him onto his back. “I think I can come up with a couple things to keep us busy,” he says.
And as Steve kisses him again, Eddie’s pretty sure he agrees.

warnings; mentions of cancer risk, implications of abuse, implied homophobia
the rattling of steel clanged around, signifying that someone was climbing the rusted ladder of the fire escape. you were burning a cigarette on the side, hanging over the railing and looking down at the passing people that laughed, talked, and just so happened to be drunk.
it was eleven forty on a saturday night after all.
“ hey, y/n! ” mickey's voice caught your attention, causing you to look up and for him to grin — until he saw the wisps of smoke. he followed it, up until his eyes landed on your cigarette.
“ the fuck? ”
a frown instantly pulled at his lips. that's when ian climbed up behind ‘im on the ladder and pulled himself up, only to dust his hands onto his jeans. “ what is it? ” ian questioned, looking at mickey with raised brows — then, his head slowly turned to you.
they both had frowns on their faces after that.
you flicked your cigarette over the railing and to the ground below, ridding it from their sight, and yours, completely. “ I don't see what the big deal is with me smoking. ”
“ you promised you wouldn't anymore. ” ian shot back, face hard with emotion. “ y/n, lung cancer runs in your family and last time you were at the doctors- ”
“ I know. ” you scoffed, looking away. “ I know, they found cells and I was at high risk. i just... ” your eyes were darting back and forth as you thought, debating if you should tell your boyfriends about the trouble that's been going on in your life. it was difficult to decide.
“ you just? ” mickey mocked, waving his hands about, “ you just what? spit it the fuck out. ” he was irritated because someone he loved went behind his back and did something he shouldn't have. of course he'd let his anger get the best of ‘im.
you sigh, “ I've been stressed, alright? and angry.. ” tears gathered in the corners of your eyes, but you refused to let anything fall; holding them back with immense strength. “ m’ mum, she's... not supportive of my sexuality. that's why I never introduced her to you guys.
ian's brows knitted together at this new found out information. of course, him and mickey knew you had secrets —they had only known you around eight months—, but they never thought it'd be something like that. something they could relate to, of all things.
of course it was serious, but why wouldn't you go to them about it?
mickey glanced at ian, before approaching you slowly with a softening expression. he himself knew what it was like to have a parent that wasn't accepting. “ y/n... ” you flinched as he put a hand on your forearm, and that made him reel his arm back.
he was nearly offended — but then he glanced down, eyeing the arm that was covered by the thin sleeve of a hoodie. your mother couldn't have... could she?
even if he wanted to ask, he didn't, because he knew he'd kill the bitch. right now, you needed comforted — and as selfish as mickey could be, now wasn't the time.
“ baby, ” mickey's voice came out quieter, “ why didn't you come to us — to me? you know we wouldn't judge you.. ” he huffed a laugh of irony. “ hell, terry hates my fucking guts cause ‘m gay, man. ”
you wouldn't meet his gaze, but you nodded in acknowledgement to his words, letting out a shaky breath. “ I.. I know. I just didn't want to bother you guys with my problems. ”
“ bother us? ” this time ian scoffed, approaching the both of you until he was standing directly next to mickey. “ if you bothered us, we would've told you to beat it awhile ago y/n. ”
“ yeah, ” mickey eyed you, blue eyes taking in the sight of your own shifty ones. of course you were nervous. “ but you're not botherin’ us. so stop beatin’ around the bush about shit from now on, alright? ”
you were silent for a moment, thinking over mickey and ian's words — taking in the fact that yeah, they were telling the truth. these two don't keep people around, especially mickey, if they didn't like them. so in a way, you guess you were lucky.
that's when you lifted your head to smile slightly at the two, “ y’know I love you guys, right? ”
mickey smirked. “ enough to suck my d- ”
ian smacked him in the back of the head. mickey scowled in reply, rubbing at his head, but said nothing.
the red head turned to look at you with a sweet smile, “ what he meant to say, was he enough to stop smoking, right? ”
you were grinning widely, cheeks rosey from mickey's earlier comment. god you loved them. “ yeah... yeah, enough to stop smoking. ”

Imagine: Charlie was your best friend, but she gets killed by the Stynes
Sam and Dean x Sister!Reader
Warnings: death, violence, angst
A/N: I wanted to go deeper into this and show the different stages of grief/the effects of the trauma/ how deans words would end up effecting the reader as well so maybe it calls for a part 2?? I don’t know so lmk if you like this and also please request!!! I’ll write about anything:)))
“Who’s gone?” Sam asked, panicked. His face scrunched with worry and his jaw dropped with fear.
“Sam, who’s gone?” You asked scared of the expression on his face.
He looked at Dean with fear before looking back to you, “Charlie.” He whispered as he brought his hand over his mouth. Your heart dropped.
“I don’t friggin believe it! You got Charlie involved with this again and now she’s missing?!?” He screamed. Your heart was pounding and you were frozen in fear, breathing heavily. You heard Sam’s phone vibrating and he picked it up.
“Charlie where are you?!” He asked frantic waiting for a response back. You jumped up, looking at Sam. Your whole body shaking in fear. There was a pit in your stomach telling you something just didn’t feel right.
“If you have the book give it to them!” He shouted to her over the phone.
“Charlie has the damn Book Of The Damned!?” Dean yelled, angrily. Sam was distraught, shushing Dean.
“Then give them your notes Charlie! Give them the code— whatever they want!” He yelled into the phone.
You were breathing heavily unsure of what was happening on the other end, but Sam’s panic made you extremely nervous. Dean yanked the phone from his hands and started walking towards the door.
“Charlie I don’t know what the hell is going on, but you need to listen to me. Give whoever that is whatever they want. You understand?” He asked as he ran up the steps. You ran behind, flinching when you heard him shout, “Charlie?!”
——-
Dean spun around the corner into the parking lot of the Blackbird Motel. You opened the car door before Dean even stopped it and leaped out of it. You fell onto the hard, wet asphalt and scrambled back up. Your whole body was trembling and felt like jelly when you tried to move. With every step it felt like your legs were going to collapse under you from the rush of adrenaline. The immense fear you felt was like no other and you just had the worst gut feeling ever.
“Y/N!” You heard Dean yell.
You knew it wasn’t a good idea to run into the room blind with no weapon on you, but it was like your body moved without telling it to. You only had one thing on your mind and it was getting to Charlie. Sam and Dean charged after you with their guns raised. The door to her room was already open and you bolted in. You looked around confused, not seeing her until you heard Sam. He was looking into the bathroom.
“Oh God,” he gagged and covered his mouth. Dean rushed over immediately and then stopped in his tracks. His face fell.
“Charlie?” Dean said, weakly.
Your heart dropped and you ran towards them. Sam immediately turned around grabbing you by the waist and held you back from seeing the scene that was in front of them. No, you refused to believe it.
“Charlie?” You yelled, feeling sick to your stomach.
Dean turned around with tears in his eyes to look at you. Your body trembled viscously.
“NOOO, NOOOOO!” You screamed, fighting against Sam.
“LET ME SEE!” You shouted pounding against him, but he wasn’t letting up.
“LET ME SEE! LET ME SEE HER!” You shrieked, trying to scratch and claw your way out of his arms to see your best friend, someone who became a big sister to you.
“CHARLIE?!?” You screamed, needing to hear her voice. Instead, it was met with complete silence.
“CHARLIE?” You sobbed, giving into Sam and collapsing into his embrace. You knew she was dead. Dean’s face gave it away as he stood there in shock and you saw Sam bite back throw up before he turned to grab you to prevent you from seeing the massacre of your best friend.
“She’s gone,” Sam whispered, confirming her death
“NO!” You screamed, feeling the veins popping out of your neck.
“No, no, no, no, no,” you sobbed into Sam’s chest, gripping onto his jacket.
He held you close to him as you cried hysterically. You felt his chest rumble as he let out a few sobs as well. You looked up to Dean and saw him leaned against the door frame with his head pointed upwards. His eyes were squeezed shut, but tears were pouring down his cheeks. Sam turned to Dean, “we’ve gotta get out of here,” he said hoarsely. The Stynes were still out there and out to kill the rest of you.
“I’ll go put some of this stuff away in the car.” He said softly, motioning to Charlie’s things all over the room. You nodded and sat down. Sam left to the car and you sat there in shock. It felt like time stopped and you couldn’t picture a world without Charlie in it. You had to see her. You knew you shouldn’t, but you had to see her. You rushed to the bathroom door but rammed right into Dean’s chest as he blocked your view to her. He grabbed you and pushed your face into his chest. “You don’t want to see her,” he mumbled.
“Dean please let me go, I need to.” You cried.
“That’s not how you’re going to want to remember her. I’m telling you right now kid, this is your warning.” He said, clenching his jaw. He knew it was for the best if you didn’t see her, but he knew it wasn’t right to withhold you from it. He’s grieved more than enough people so he knew how it felt to feel like you had to see someone like that. He wasn’t going to interrupt your grieving process, but he also knew it never helped.
“Please Dean,” you whimpered.
He sighed, released his hold on you and stepped to the side. You stood back for a moment, pausing, unsure of what your next move should be. Dean hung his head low as you walked into the bathroom.
You gasped when you saw her. She was laying in the bathtub with blood everywhere. You fell to your knees as the sobs wracked through your body once more. Dean squatted down behind you and pulled your back into his chest.
“Charlie,” you sobbed, “I’m so sorry Charlie.” You cried, looking at her.
You were going to be sick. You pushed out of Dean’s arms and crawled to the toilet. As soon as you picked up the lid, you started projectile vomiting. You felt Dean hold your hair from your face and start rubbing your back. Sam walked in and pinched the bridge of his nose seeing your state. You finished throwing up and wiped your mouth. You turned your body and sat back against the wall, exhausted.
“I had to see her Sammy,” you whispered.
His expression softened, “I understand sweetheart.” He knew all too well, but his heart broke knowing his baby sister was at her point in life where she had to experience it as well.
You stood up with tears streaming down your face, glancing back at Charlie one more time before walking out.
——-
Your face was puffy, your eyes were bloodshot and you had bags under them. Tears continued to flow down your cheeks no matter how hard you tried to stop them. You were setting up the wood for Charlie’s funeral. Sam and Dean came into your view carrying her body and you felt a crushing blow to your chest. You just couldn’t believe that it was the end of your intelligent, brave, and courageous best friend.
They put her body on top of the wood and you watched the fire ignite. You stood in between Sam and Dean as Sam spoke.
“Charlie we’re going to miss you, you were the best. And I’m so sorry-“ Dean cut off Sam.
“Shut up.” He said. You looked up at your brother in shock before he continued, “you got her killed.“
He shook his head, “you both did.”
You felt like you couldn’t breathe. You couldn’t handle him saying that to you. You were already thinking it, but him absolutely confirming it for you made you feel like the worst human being alive. You burst into tears, covering your mouth with your shaking hands.
“Dean!” Sam said, appalled that he would say that to his sister who was clearly in so much pain already. He could handle whatever Dean had to say, but you didn’t deserve it. Not a single bit.
You felt like you were going to die at any second and you could hardly catch your breath. Sam immediately took you into his arms, trying to comfort you.
“We were trying to help you Dean.” You sobbed in between your breaths.
“I didn’t need help! I told you to leave it alone. But you didn’t. And look where that got your best friend.” He stated coldly.
“And I would trade places with her in a second!” You cried out. “Do you think I DONT hate myself for what happened to her?” You bit your lip trying to not let a sob escape you.
“I’ll nev- I’ll never forgive myself, Dean. This is going to weigh on me for-“ you gulped, tears still streaming down your face, “for the rest of my life.” You whimpered.
“What were we supposed to do? Just watch you die?”Sam asked.
“The mark isn’t going to kill me.” Dean stated.
“Dean you’re all we’ve got, of course we were going to fight for you because that’s what we do.” Your voice broke.
Sam started, “listen, we had a shot-“ Dean cut Sam off.
“Yeah, you had a shot. Charlie’s dead.” He said, looking between the both of you “Nice shot.” He scoffed.
You bit the inside of your cheek and looked away as more tears threatened to spill over.
“You think I…” Sam started but paused trying to collect his emotions. “You think I’m ever gonna forgive myself for that?” He questioned Dean.
“You know what I think? I think it should be you or Y/N up there— not her.” Dean said harshly. You closed your eyes and bit the inside of your cheek harder, tasting all of the blood as you gently nodded. You agreed with him. You should have been the one who died instead of Charlie. She never deserved this, but you did. You should be in her place.
“And I’m going to find the person who did this and I’m going to rip apart everything and everyone they’ve ever loved and then I’m going to tear out their heart.” Dean said.
“Is that you talking or the mark?” Sam asked.
“Does it matter?” He responded and walked away.
Once you knew he was gone, you collapsed onto the ground. Dean said you didn’t have the right to apologize or say anything to Charlie, but you needed to. She was your best friend. She was your sister. She was family. You crawled as close to her as possible until you felt the fire burn your skin.
“I’m so sorry Charlie!” You cried. “You didn’t deserve this.” You choked back. “You were my best friend, you were the sister I never had. Thank you so much for always being there for me.“ You said, tasting the tears in your mouth. “I’ll miss your nerdy dorky self too much, but I’ll go to every convention for you and I know you’ll be there, right next to me because there’s no way in hell you’d ever miss one.” You chuckled through your tears. “I’ll forever love and miss you so much.” You whispered, before standing up. You turned to Sam and he reached out to you. You relaxed into his hug while he rubbed your back.
“We’ll get through this bug, you’ll always have me.” He whispered.

Sweet Surrender Part 4
Here we are guys, the end of the sequel of the summer Valentine fic. Thank you all who liked, commented, and reblogged this lovely story. I love seeing my regulars interact with their comments and tags. It's makes me so happy.
And if regularly do and haven't lately: I get it, it's not always easy to comment (whether as a comment or in the tags) on every part, just know I missed seeing them.
Sadly no prom-posal because they can't really go together-together, but Eddie did go over and ask in person. He's not a complete idiot.
This is my longest "chapter" I've written clocking out at 3700+ words because I refused to split it up further dammit!
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
Damn it scheduled for 10pm not am but here we are just a few minutes late.
~
Eddie sat at the back of the class as he always did, trying to come up with ideas of what to do for prom. Because of course Steve said yes.
Steve’s eyes lit up and he swung Eddie around chanting, “Yes, yes, yes!” until the pair of them fell to the floor giggling like children.
They kissed and laughed until they couldn’t breathe.
Steve already had a suit, he really hadn’t grown that much since the funeral and just needed a nice cummerbund to make it school dance worthy. So he didn’t go with the Hellfire boys to get their tuxes.
Jeff had gone for a blue suit jacket with black pants and bow tie with a white button up. Gareth went for a double breasted black jacket and bow tie with matching pants. Brian had picked up a white jacket and bolo tie with black pants.
Eddie though?
Eddie had gone for a thin black neck tie and tight dress pants and then was going to wear his leather jacket over the top.
Steve was positively salivating at the thought.
They were sitting at the table discussing prom ideas when Nancy came up to Steve.
“Hey, do you have a date to prom?”
Steve and Eddie shared a concerned glance before Steve just shrugged.
“These guys didn’t get dates either,” he explained, “and offered to let me go with them as a group. Why? You asking?”
Nancy’s face twisted in disdain. “No, of course not. I’m not going to that meaningless high school mating ritual.”
Steve huffed out a laugh. “Jonathan didn’t want to go, huh?”
“He won’t let me pay.” She crossed her arms over her chest and stomped her foot.
Steve rolled his eyes and shared a glance with Eddie who shared his exasperation.
“What do you want, Nance?”
She pursed her lips and looked down at the floor. “I thought that if you had a date, then we could double and Jonathan wouldn’t feel pressured to spend a lot of money.”
Jeff and Brian looked at each other and then burst out laughing with Eddie joining in.
“Tell me you’ve never been poor without telling me you’ve never been poor,” Brian huffed out between gales of laughter. “Jesus H. Christ, he’s gonna feel even more pressure to spend a lot because he’s gonna see Stevie here go all out for his date and he’s going to get flustered and upset he can’t do the same for you then there’ll be huge fight, leaving you stranded at the prom waiting for Mommy Dearest to pick you.” He wiped away a tear of laughter.
Steve nodded and then half shrugged. “I’m with him on that one. It’s a guy thing. You’re out to wound his pride and you’re only going to catch hell for it.”
“Here’s a thought, Nancy Drew,” Eddie said with a menacing grin, “why not skip it and do it next year. At your actual senior prom since he’s so worried about it. Give him time to save up for it so he can do something nice for you and stop pushing people around.”
Nancy’s jaw dropped and she turned to Steve. “Are you just going to sit here and let him talk to me that way?”
Steve swirled in his chair to look up at her. “We aren’t dating, and he’s not wrong. Plus, I’ve been asked to prom by a couple of very forward girls and had hints broadly dropped that I should ask them to prom. Tammy Thompson was the worst of the lot. Talking about how a king should be with a proper queen or some shit like that. And I’ve turned them down because all of them want the Harrington charm and money and not me, also they’ll want sex or worse, to go steady and I just can’t handle that right now.”
He looked pointedly at her.
She frowned for a moment and then her eyes went wide and her mouth formed a silent ‘O’.
“Yeah,” he said, turning in his seat to out his back between them. “So you’ll pardon me if I don’t want to do you any favors.”
She slunk off back to the table with the rest of her friends and Jonathan.
Gareth shook his head. “The absolute nerve. Jesus Fucking Christ.”
Steve could only agree.
~
“Come on, man,” Gareth huffed, crossing his arms. “If we all pool our money we could rent a limo and show up in style.”
Steve threw back his head and laughed.
They were all sitting around Gareth’s garage making the final plans for prom.
“Dude, you could,” Steve agreed. “But those things take up at least three parking spots and you will have the rest of the student body hate your guts for all of time for it being in the way of everyone else.”
Gareth slunk further into the couch with a sneer. “It can’t be as bad as he’s making it out, he just doesn’t want us to have any fun.”
“That’s because you were a freshman when Tommy H. and Carol Perkins did it for junior prom last year,” Steve said, shaking his head. “They got so much shit for it, and it took Tommy bullying certain people to get it to stop.” He raised his hands. “Something I didn’t condone by the way.”
Jeff winced and shook his head. “Hard pass on being hated more than we already are.”
“I’m with Jeffy on this one Gare-bear,” Eddie said with a grimace. “Let’s take Mr. Romance’s advice on this one, yeah?”
“Fine!” Gareth growled. “But I refuse to get in the fuck ugly Bimmer of Steve’s and I’m not to be seen in these nice suits in Eddie’s van.”
“I never said we couldn’t rent a car,” Steve said reasonably, “just that we shouldn’t rent a limo.”
Suddenly the four other boys were leaning forward in their seats, looking at him in rapt interest.
“What did you have in mind, Stevie?” Eddie asked, slowly licking his upper lip.
“Who hasn’t had the dream of showing up to school in a shiny convertible?” Steve asked with a smirk. “It’ll be nicer than a limo, and most likely cheaper, too. And of course I bet we could get Eddie’s Uncle Wayne to rent it for us, with the little bribe that he gets to drive it around first.”
Eddie threw back his head and cackled. “That would work! He would love the little bribe, too.”
The other three boys looked at each other before Jeff said, “All in favor of getting nice convertible for prom?”
All the hands went up and Steve sat back, looking like that cat that got the cream.
~
Steve stayed over at Eddie’s the night before the dance. The plan was that after lunch, Steve would go home and get ready for the dance and then Eddie would pick everyone up for dinner then they would go to the dance.
Eddie had other plans, of course, but Steve didn’t know about those. Yet.
Around ten o’clock in the morning, with the two boys still tangled up in each others limbs there was honking of someone’s horn, followed by Wayne yelling at them to get the hell out of bed.
Steve and Eddie blinked bleary-eyed at each other for a moment before the fog of sleep cleared and they were on their feet in an instant. Steve threw on some sweats as Eddie yanked on a pair of jeans. They were out the door before Wayne could honk again.
He was leaning up a red 1984 Chrysler LeBaron five seater with white upholstery with the top down. His arms were crossed and had the biggest smile on his face.
“So what do you think, boys?” he said cocking his head to the side. “You think it’s fancy enough for that dance of yours?”
Eddie and Steve shared matching grins. They ran down the stairs in their bare feet up to Wayne and the car.
Steve was already running his hands over the body of the car. “Wayne, she gorgeous. She wasn’t too much was she?”
Wayne shook his head. “You boys’ money more than covered it for the night. I’ll return it tomorrow with a full tank of gas, no worries.”
Eddie hugged his uncle tightly. “Tonight is going to be the best night ever!”
Wayne hugged him back as Steve continued to admire the car.
“I wasn’t sure if you’d be able to find one that would fit all of us,” he breathed, “but fucking hell. It’s perfect Mr. Munson!”
“I’m glad you’re happy with it, Steve,” Wayne murmured as Eddie let go of him to follow Steve around the car. “Brian will probably have to sit in the front seat to be comfortable, but other than that, you’ll be golden.”
“Well, old man,” Eddie said after Steve and he looked over every inch of the car, “She’s all yours. Just bring her back by five so I can pick everyone else up.”
Wayne chuckled and opened the driver’s side door. “She really is a beaut, Ed. I can’t wait to let her unwind on the open road.”
Steve smiled and shook his head, knowing that he wanted to do the exact same thing. He followed Eddie into the trailer, a skip in his step.
Eddie made for the kitchen to starting making them breakfast and Steve sat down at the small table they had nearby.
“So we’re going out to eat at Enzo’s,” Steve murmured. “Which I really don’t want to know how Gareth pulled that off, considering everyone goes there for prom and getting reservations are vicious. It’s almost a blood sport.”
Eddie chuckled pulling out the eggs to scramble. “Gareth’s mom is friends with the owner and she always has a standing table there.”
“Well that’s a relief,” he said wiping his brow. “I thought he had murdered a couple of our fellow students for the privilege.”
“I love that it’s Gareth you think would be the murderer,” he called over his shoulder, “instead of anyone else coming with us tonight.”
Steve half shrugged and started counting them off on his fingers. “Brian is a staunch pacifist, Jeff gets sick at the sight of blood and you are so sweet that it’s impossible to believe that would harm anyone unless they started shit first.” He tapped his fingers on the surface of the table. “But Gareth is the quiet one and everyone knows that serial killers are the strong and silent types.”
Eddie poured the beaten egg mixture into the heated frying pan and began to stir it around.
“I guess that makes sense,” he said after a few moments. “I love your absolute faith in me, by the way. If there were any serial killings in this town, the mob would come after me first.”
Steve sighed. “True that. Unfortunately.”
Eddie scooped the cooked eggs onto two plates, bringing them over to the table with a couple of forks.
They settled down to eat. After a few minutes of silence Steve asked. “You thinking of doing anything after the dance? I know we haven’t really talked about what we’re doing after.”
Eddie got that soft secret smile that made the butterflies in Steve’s stomach take flight. “There might be a couple of things I might have in mind.”
Steve shook his head fondly. “And let me guess, it’s a surprise and I’m not supposed to know?”
“Yup!” Eddie replied with a grin. “No eat up, I have plans for this morning...” he wagged his eyebrows suggestively.
Steve started immediately shoving egg into his face to Eddie’s cackling glee.
~
To say Steve was nervous would be a fucking understatement. He’d never been picked up for prom before and not knowing when Eddie was going to show up only made his anxiety spike further.
It wasn’t that Steve didn’t know when Eddie was going to leave to start picking everyone up, it was that Steve was third after Brian and Gareth, who were first and second respectively.
In his hand was a corsage for Eddie. It was black rose wrapped in a silver ribbon. And he was doing everything in his power not to crush the clear, plastic box it was in.
There was a knock on the door and Steve’s face fell a little when he saw it was Gareth at the door.
“Wow,” Gareth snarked, “don’t look all excited and shit to see me or whatever.”
“I–I guess I was expecting Eddie...” Steve muttered. He shook his head and tossed the box on the table. “I’m ready to go.”
Gareth frowned a little bit and then his expression cleared when he saw what was in the box. “Oh hell no.” He held up a finger and dashed back to the car. He yanked Eddie out of the driver’s seat and toward Steve’s door.
As they neared Steve heard Gareth grumble, “You are not fucking this up already!”
Eddie opened his mouth to protest when he saw Steve at the door looking dejected. He snapped it shut with an audible click. He saw the box on the table and looked back at Steve.
“You got me flowers?” he breathed. He couldn’t believe it. He had told Steve that he was taking care of everything.
But he forgot one thing and the fact that Wayne hadn’t brought it up, meant that Steve had gotten it for him as a surprise but told Wayne to keep Eddie from buying one for himself.
Steve gulped down the lump in his throat. “It’s just a silly corsage. The other guys aren’t wearing one, so I’ll just tak–” he reached up to remove his own white rose corsage when Eddie put his hands over Steve’s.
“No, sweetheart,” Eddie murmured. “I screwed up. I was supposed to be wooing you tonight and I already misstepped. I should have come to the door to pick you up. That wasn’t fair to you.”
“It’s not a big deal,” he mumbled still trying to remove his corsage.
Eddie took his face in his hands and pressed their foreheads together. “Baby, it is. Because it’s important to you. So what we’re going to do is, you’re going to stop trying to remove yours so it doesn’t get ruined,” and immediately Steve’s hands dropped to Eddie’s waist. “Good boy, now the next thing you’re going to do is pin that pretty flower you got for me on my leather jacket and then we’ll go get Jeff, okay?”
Steve let out a shuddering breath and then nodded. Then with trembling hands he took the black rose out of the box and pulled out the pin that would be used to attach it to Eddie’s jacket lapel.
Eddie wrapped his hands gently around Steve’s quivering hands again, this time to calm him. “Take your time, Stevie.”
Steve took a deep breath and looked Eddie in the eyes.
“There you are, princess,” Eddie cooed at how much calmer he looked now. “If it helps, I can knock on the door and we can start over.”
Steve shook his head but took a step back. He brought Eddie’s lips to his and kissed him deeply. “This will just be some stupid story we tell our grandkids when we’re old and grey.”
Eddie burst out laughing. “Only a month in and you’re already planning our grandkids! And I thought I moved fast.”
“Nope!” Steve teased, kissing him again. “You move fast, I move faster.”
Eddie giggled as a more confident Steve pinned the corsage to his leather jacket. They walked out and got into the LeBaron. Steve hopped into the back seat with Gareth who grumbled under his breath.
“I told him he should have gone up there and not send someone else, but noooo,” he muttered darkly. “I’m a little squashmore who’s never gone on a date in my life, what would I know?”
“Yeah, yeah,” Eddie huffed. “Rub it in. And where oh font of wisdom did you gain such knowledge, hmm?”
Gareth erupted, throwing his arms in the air. “I watch movies!” he huffed as Eddie pulled out of the driveway. “My mom and brother love romantic comedies. The dude always goes to the door unless he’s meant to be the douchebag loser.”
Steve burst out laughing. “He’s got you there, Eds.”
“Mistake made,” Eddie said dryly, “lesson learned.”
They got to Jeff’s, who’s mother had gotten Brian, Gareth and her son all corsages. They all had a single red rose to match Eddie’s black and Steve’s white roses.
“Ooh,” Eddie murmured. “Uncle Wayne was playing the long game, wasn’t he? He told you not get me and Steve corsages because Steve had them covered, didn’t he?”
Mrs. Laurence shook her head, barely containing her smile. “Steve coordinated it with me and I filled your uncle in.”
Eddie shook his head fondly and took Steve’s hand.
She took pictures of everyone in the tuxes and then sent them off with a wave.
~
Dinner was amazing. Especially with Steve gently guiding them with which forks to use, the meal was delicious and company was even better.
Their waiter even commented that he wished him and his friends had thought about just getting dressed up anyway and going to prom as friends. It would have been better than them sitting at home eating pizza and feeling sorry for themselves.
Steve just smiled up at him as the rest of them filled him on the rest of their plans. Well... all but Eddie anyway.
They got to the dance and while Mrs. Click was absolutely fuming, she couldn’t bar their entry because there was nothing in the rules that said they had to bring dates and as long as they had their tickets, she had to let them in.
Eddie took great pleasure in smiling at her as they walked into the gym.
The theme was of course Sweethearts so the gym was decked out in hearts of every size and of every shade of pink and red imaginable.
Steve chuckled as Jeff and Brian gagged. Gareth smacked them upside their heads and went off in search of punch, the other two boys shuffling behind him.
Eddie and Steve stood at the entrance a moment.
Eddie rocked back and forth on the balls on his feet, shoving his hands in his pockets to hide how never he felt. “So what do you do at a dance when you can’t dance with the one you want to?”
Steve looked over at him and tilted his head. “Make yourself as big a menace as possible, of course.”
Eddie grinned as Steve grabbed his wrist and they melted into the crowd.
~
About an hour into it, Eddie led Steve away from all the loud music and sweltering mass of teenage bodies.
“Eddie!” Steve protested with a laugh. “Where are you taking me?”
Eddie just cackled and kept pulling him along. They got the drama room and Steve was amazed he could hear the music.
“How?” he whispered.
Eddie grinned again. “They have speakers in here from the gym. They’re usually turned off as some brave stage crew managed to figure out a way to stop it from streaming in so kids could practice their lines and shit and not have to listen to basketball scores, but I got someone to turn them on for us.”
Steve turned to him in shock. “Us?”
Eddie nodded and led Steve further into the drama room. It was decorated in fairy lights and sparkling hearts.
“Oh, Eds...” Steve breathed. “It’s beautiful.”
“I paid one of the drama kids to do this for me so I could surprise you,” he murmured.
Just then a soft love song came over the speakers and he held out his hand to Steve. “Dance with me.”
Steve let out a watery chuckle and folded into Eddie’s arms. They danced cheek to cheek to the music and were still dancing slowly when the song changed to something more upbeat.
“I was so worried I couldn’t dance with you up there,” he murmured into Eddie’s ear, “and then you went and found a way for us to do it down here instead. God, I love you so much, sunshine.”
They kissed and danced until the announcement came over the speakers that they were crowning the prom king and queen. They walked back to the gym hand in hand.
“I tried to get myself removed from the ballot,” Steve said softly just as they reached the doors. “I told them that I didn’t want even be here, but they refused. Said that I was nominated by someone else and only they could remove from the ballot. They wouldn’t even tell me who. But then you came along and I still don’t want to be prom king, but I figured at least being here with you would be worth the price of admission.”
Eddie smiled and kissed him gently. “I think you’d look pretty in a crown, darlin’.”
Steve let out a nervous giggle. “You would.”
They let go of their hands and walk back in.
Steve made prom king. Like everyone assumed he would. And even though Billy hadn’t been on the ballot he came in second place with a lot of write-ins. Steve suspected that Billy had actually won, but as he wasn’t on the ballot and the principal not wanting it to go to a thug like Billy Hargrove had cinched Steve’s bid for the crown.
Prom queen was Tammy Thompson. Which she obviously had insider knowledge of when she broadly hinted to him to take her to prom. She even hissed about him probably wishing he had taken her when he had the chance as to not leave her poor date standing there on the sidelines.
Steve just smiled and nodded and suffered through their dance.
Once it was all done, he handed the bouquet of flowers to Jeff, the sash to Gareth and the crown to Brian.
“You’ve got nothing left, baby,” Eddie murmured as they walked out of the gym and into the darkened halls of the high school.
He gave Eddie’s hand a quick squeeze. “No, Eds. I’ve got you.”
That night after they had done all their after dance activities, they would make love in the back of the LeBaron under the stars at the quarry after they had dropped everyone else off and in the morning after they waved off the LeBaron as Wayne drove it back to the rent shop, Steve would drag Eddie back into the shelter of the trailer and kiss him senseless.
But until then, they had each other and that was enough.
~
Also if you saw this yesterday NO NO YOU DID NOT!

Din Djarin: Watchdog
Pairing: Din Djarin x fem!reader (afab; she/her)
Excerpt: Mando had him by his neck, squeezing hard enough for the man to lose his breath and scratch Mando’s hands out of distress. Mando never faltered, even when the male scratched his nails into the leather of his gloves. The male whined and screeched for air, whispering “please, I’m sorry, please,” but Mando just...held him there. Staring into his eyes, squeezing his throat so tight his hand nearly became a fist.
Your stomach sank and your brain went blank. You were so frozen your voice had completely escaped you. You could only watch.
Finally, Mando said huskily, “That is enough.”
Warnings: Din gets a bit ✨violent✨, reader gets harassed, terribly written sexism, references to past sexual harassment, descriptions of bruises, swearing, reader self-deprecates and is scared of love (relatable much?)
A/N: Happy final days of Dincember everyone, especially to those that updated nearly every day for every prompt (@dindjarindiaries I’m looking at you you’re incredible). I cannot wait for new content in the new year. I love you all <3
If you’d like to leave a like, comment, ask, or reblog, it would be much appreciated <3

The last thing you needed from your partner—or whatever the hell he was to you—was the image of him nearly snapping a bounty’s neck.
What made it worse was that it was out of defense. For you.
You, of all people. A woman who had killed and tortured and maimed for a few lousy credits. You had killed in front of him, so many times you couldn’t keep count, and you barely felt remorse. You even went as far as to gloat.
You were a bounty hunter with a heart long-since hardened; at least, until you had teamed up with him. The infamous Mandalorian, wrapped in a reputation more ominous and intimidating than the impenetrable beskar he donned, yet the kindest being you had ever known.
The two of you didn’t talk much—if ever—but he still found a way to read you like a book. If you were squirmy, he offered you food. If you were achy, he offered you a quick stop at a hot spring. If you were anxious, he would press you gently with his words, curious as to what was bothering you. It was these little things, these seemingly insignificant actions, that made you begin to…care about him.
The worst, however, was when, once in a blue moon, you were filled with emotion so harsh that you revealed it in your body language. You had learned the hard way that emotion was weakness in your line of work, so you never showed it in front of him, but sometimes the heat of it burned you so badly it was impossible not to show it.
This was when the Mandalorian tended to lash out on whatever had caused you such pain or remorse. He would get…angry. Vengeful. These moments were so rare you would latch onto them, clutching them to your chest and using them to drift you off into sleep; however, in the moment, you would lash out as well. Usually at him. Pushing his…thoughtfulness away like it was a ticking time bomb.
The longer you remained partners, the worse he would lash out, and it all came to a head because of a fucking Twi’lek.
                                                           ~*~
Mando dragged the creature across the sand dunes of Tatooine, grunting and panting in the hot sun. You tried to get him to let you drag the male for at least half the walk, but he refused. It wasn’t like you were complaining. His infrequent grunts gave you a new set of audios for your mental soundbox. You were already eager to press the keys later that night as sleep carried you away.
It was then that the dark green male remembered he had a voice box.
“Well would you look at that,” the male breathed, likely still aching from the blow you had politely bestowed upon his rib cage, “the only thing strong enough to drag me across the sandy hills of Tatooine is a man. Figures.”
You let it roll off you but could not help but let out a scoff. He sounded ridiculous, like a droid reading off of an old stormtrooper-recruitment brochure.
“You find that funny, lass?” the male asked, turning to look at you while still being dragged. “I agree. Truth always seems to reveal itself even in the most subtle of ways.”
You didn’t laugh at that. You just kept one foot in front of the other. He was trying to piss you off on purpose, likely a last-ditch effort to regain his dignity. You were used to it; hell, you enjoyed it. It was bounties’ last grabs to their decency that always seemed to give you the most pleasure.
The Crest finally came into sight, and if you didn’t know better, you would say that both you and Mando picked up your speed simultaneously, desperation for home present in both of your strides. He lowered the entrance ramp and you exhaled in relief, basking in the scent and feel of the one place in the galaxy you felt comfortable enough to take your shoes off. You started your march up the metal with Mando still hauling the man behind you. Of course, it was then that the bounty decided to perk up again.
“Make that sound again,” the man said breathily. “I’ll say please if I have to. Plus, it sounds better from this view.”
Your jaw immediately clenched and blood flowed to your cheeks from embarrassment. It was one thing to be demeaned and lessened, but it was another to be viewed as a piece of meat.
Despite it all, you took a deep breath, and carried on.
You set your belt and knives on their reserved spot in the cockpit, as well as your jacket and buff. You then made your way down the ladder to the bicarbonate chambers, or as you liked to call it, the trophy room. Mando had had a good scoff at that name once or twice.
Mando already had the bounty leaning his back against the metal wall next to his frozen fate as he prepared the chamber, and you took the opportunity to give the male a small smirk of victory. You wanted him to give you the best he had and, as expected, he began to overcompensate.
“You really are much prettier when you smile,” the man said, looking up at Mando. “Wouldn’t you agree?”
Mando ignored him, facing forward and keeping his focus on preparing the bower, but you noticed the tips of the fingers of his left-hand inch that much closer to his gun holster. Your heart quickened. You didn’t know why.
“I bet you smile nice and pretty for this big guy,” the Twi’lek said with a laugh. “I bet he’s seen your smile in this very room, on this very floor. Describe to me, Mando, in my final moments of consciousness, just how hard she grips you and screams for you when you get a taste of that perfect—”
You felt yourself flinch at his words, cursing yourself internally, but you didn’t hear the rest over the sound of his skull smashing against the tank door.
Mando had him by his neck, squeezing hard enough for the man to lose his breath and scratch Mando’s hands out of distress.
The male in his palm nodded profusely, still climbing for air, and Mando lowered him torturously slow to the floor as he said, “If you speak about her again, you will not leave this ship with your life, and I will make it agonizing. Understood?”
The Twi’lek was inches away from losing consciousness, making it nearly impossible for him to reply, but Mando knew it was only nearly. He slammed his skull against the tank again, repeating, “Understood?”
The male nodded once and Mando dropped his body to the floor. His green body convulsed as he coughed and sucked in his breaths, but you weren’t watching him. You were staring at your Mandalorian, mouth agape, and stomach coiling with feelings you had obviously not pushed down deep enough. Mando calmly opened the tank and picked up the male on the floor, still gasping and clutching his throat in pain, and practically threw him in the bicarbonate. His body froze over immediately with his hand still pressed against his already bruising throat.
Mando stared at the frozen body, and you stared at him. As you let your mind process what just happened, a wave of anger began to rise in your body. He had defended you before, but never like that, and something about it finally struck down the wall around your feelings for him. You had no other way to cope with that vulnerability than anger. A volcanic fire of rage enveloped you at your own stupidity and weakness when it came to the warrior in front of you, and who better to take it out on than the man himself.
So, you spun him around and slammed him against the tank, hard enough for him to exhale a huff. His hands went up in the air, refusing to go anywhere near you, and his chest heaved against your own. Your foreheads were practically touching as you hissed at him.
“How many times have I told you,” you whispered menacingly, “I don’t need a fucking watchdog.”
Mando replied quickly, quicker than he had ever before and in a tone laced with anger similar to your own. “Do you think I can fucking help it?”
You stared at him, feeling the murder in your face beginning to soften.
“Do you think I don’t try to stop myself Y/N? Have you not realized that I cannot stop it. I cannot fucking stop it.” Your body remained pressed to his but your grip on him softened enough for him to drop his hands lower and lower. He practically dropped his forehead against yours in defeat as he whispered, “I don’t know why, but I just can’t stop myself. Not when it comes to you.”
He was a ruthless bounty hunter, but a terrible liar.
You remained pressed together for a few more moments, breathing hard, waiting for the other to move first. Mando’s hands made it down to his sides, clenched so tense the leather squeaked, before the tiniest brush of his right hand gazed against your hip.
“Not when it comes to you,” he whispered, and slipped out from under your grip.
You didn’t watch him climb the ladder: you didn’t notice him look back for you, waiting for you to follow; you didn’t hear his sigh before he made it to the top of his climb; you didn’t register the ship rocking into hyperspace.
All you could feel was that brush of his leather against your hip, so tender, so...loving. Your body was unable to move and your mind was unable to work. All they could latch onto was the feeling of that adoring touch...
...and how much you fucking loved it.

Previous part
Maybe it was the events of the night or maybe it was because it was Joel miller. She never felt this way , something her mother described  as love it was all new and scary and yet it filled her with warmth , comfort and safety when the man was near her. How instinctively her body new he was close like sense searching him out and even in her most scared state she felt the rush of calm the moment his arms where touching her skin, his scent of  oak and musk in her nostrils and the gruff husk to his voice all those made her feel safe , all those felt like home. The man who made her feel like she wasn’t alone again . years of living hell more hell then infected hell she’d prefer them to her ex.They had more mercy , mindless zombies had more compassion then her ex to which is she didn’t get free well she would of threw herself to them. But here she was with joel sitting on edge of his bed and she wanted to be open with him completely , not hold or hide anything.
“ i wasn’t scared because it was nigel ,it wasn’t anything to do with him it was the feeling that sent me back” she breathed out feeling the words ready to burst from her mouth like a dam every single one  that needed to be said.” he wasn’t the one that was attacking me like in my head it wasn’t him, it was like i was back there back in a past so dark it felt like a black hole, sucking the life out of me every second i didn’t even feel like a person just puppet on a string or when times seemed fit the whipping boy for when he was having a bad day”she laughed dryly .
“Jonah found me i was exhausted , starving and probably on the brink of death i thought he was my knight in shining armor like stories my mama told me about as little girl , he was on a horse and everything, brought me back to his camp and i had food and warm clothe even a blanket because i refused to ruin my brothers, then after a while i found my prince was a monster with a pretty mask , one that hid the evil he truly was start slow i would talk to passers by the first time he hit me claimed it was some sort of ptsd thing then he stopped using excuse , stopped wearing the mask every time i opened my eye i hated it , hated he didn’t just kill me like he kept telling me it wasn’t something i feared anymore it was something i wished for only thing i had was that blanket, my mama made it from some wool we found , then jonah found it made his men hold me down and he burnt it right before my eyes and something snapped inside when he went  let the melted material fall i grabbed his knife i cut him , i cut em all and ran with the bag  on my back, then there i was falling over my own feet , starved , dehydrated and my body ready to give up until a man called out just as i hit the ground ,i woke up here  in jackson and your brother as telling me i was ok , i was safe” she sniffled .
“ so when nigel hit me pushed me it wasn’t him i was seeing , smelling and hearing it was jonah like i did every single day since i was fifteen” she smiled weakly the tear that filled her waterline and once more she spent a night crying in joel millers arms feeling the weight of the past off of her shoulder.
He just held her ,tight holding only her . she didn’t need his words to tell her how strong and amazing she was that could wait. What she need was to feel safe , to truly feel protected. How much he hated the world for trying to break her , how it made her hurt in ways a person should never hurt.  She needed to feel comfort and security to know that he had her, he was going to protect her no matter what . Tommy must have known more about his behavior to suggest it   he wasn’t going to ask. She already told him so much but he could only imagine what else the monster had done. It didn't take rocket science to see that .  He hoped his touch told her what his mouth didn’t , He meant it every sense that day he said it , she had him  in every way she wanted him .  More and more he felt him drawn to her seeing every side to the woman and she was still beautiful even more so like a flower blooming  a bed of weeds . one he will do everything and anything to keep it flourishing . he barely slept that night , watching her sleep the way her lashes touched her cheeks , the soft even breathes that pull and pushed through the pillow plush lips .  How perfect she fit in his arms like she was always meant to be there , how she should always be there and if he could it would always be that way .
Mark wanted to leave , this needed to be over with  the longer he was gone the more danger they were in .  Jonah promised they would be safe if he did this but it even he couldn’t trust that man’s word , he did know once this was over he was taking his wife and daughter some where else far away shit he would build a boat if he needed to .  It need to end soon longer he waited the longer it would take .
“Mark we got your present” the radio crackled as he rushed off.
“ so fucker made it huh  he should be able give you details of the patrols , y/n does them weekends two days from now i can’t stay”
“ two days  and i get my wife back good enough for me i’ll give you a horse and your cunts back” jonah snickered.
“ two days” mark gritted his teeth before turning the channel off.
Even though it was an absolute nightmare of event the night before it was the best sleep she gotten in a long time , every single time she was a sleep in his arms she had dreams  actually dreams and not nightmares that made her wake in a panicked sweat . She woke rested and calm , she was safe.  Even if it was the wake of a storm she felt safe In joel millers presence . Something about the man always made her protect something wod Seem like it was made up concept .
“ hey love bird  breakfast Soon” ellie voice called she didn't have to look at the teen to see the smirk that was there , feeling it was enough .
“ we'll Get up in minute go ahead” his voice god his morning Voice had her thighs clenching and her stomach In a tornado Of feeling. “ darling you wake” he rasped.
“ do I have to” she sighed nuzzling more into His chest her head bobbed at the vibration of his sleep filled laugh .
“ sadly you do , ya need to eat and get your head checked … I mean the wound On your head checked” .
“ need my head checked wouldn't hurt either” she snorted as she stretched out something was different yet the same like unspoken new Development to their friendship or whatever this was .
“ don't we all come on your grumpy when ya don't eat” he pushed her gently as he got himself up the glare she sent him was down right adorable In his eyes . Leaning down as their face so close ,Eyes locked on the each .
“ If you're good I'll Make you a cup of the good coffee” He smirked lips ghosting over her , he could easily fall into the temptation of one simple movement And he could finally feel her soft lips . Yet he pulled back as her eyes followed his confused tilt Of her head she looked like a confused puppy . The fucker was playing with her well she could match him .
“ I ain't ever been good  might need a man put me in my place” she whispered in his ear before heading down the stairs almost beaming when she seen ellie Standing there.  That smirk all over her face as y/n descended the stairs.
“ looked cozy up there thought i was actually going to have to go ahead”.
“ nah couldn’t leave you to walk two minutes on your own” she giggled.
“ my hero , hows your head that bruise isn’t as big as i thought it would be either , where’s joel?” .
“ here i am  come on both of y’all get cranky when you don’t eat” he shot y/n a look to say whatever started was definitely not over.
The three walked easily through town til she stopped outside that alley a shiver sent through her body until she felt his hand land on her lower back and suddenly she didn’t feel so scared continuing on their journey to the mess hall.
As soon as she walked in it was like all eyes were on her and  they probably are few looked at her with pity , some in respect and some in pride.  Tommy had a shit eating grin on his face as he almost studied the two, ellie ran off towards dina and some of the younger residents of jackson. Maria looked  both worried as she took in the injuries so did the residents doctor making her roll her eyes.
“ after i eat you can poke away” she finally said .
“ oh you bet your ass you should of been brought last night” the doctor playfully glared.
“ i also need to talk to you after if you don’t mind doing it while doc does his thing”maria ask quietly.
“ course then i want the good coffee”she turned to joel.
“Fine fine come on before benny gets there before us” he chuckled  moving her along as maria gave them an appraising look to only see her own husband watching with a big grin on his face.
The rest of the breakfast was same the two found ways of touching each other like a couple of love struck teenagers til she was taken to the clinic  both and doc wanting to make sure the wound on her head properly taking care of  . which only good thing the man could say was it was cleaned properly but it needed stitches and should of  the night before .
“ so you wanted to talk to me what's up may as well distract me” she laughed nervously.
“ patrol found kid note attached erm mom was  well found not far later but was too late .. couple that was gonna take him changed there mind and maura she is watching him but she too old for kid so was wondering if he could stay with you” maria explain softly  and carefully.
“ how old ? “  she asked wincing and gripping the chair as she felt the skin being pulled.
“ four  his names charlie , cute little thing”.
“ can i think about it after patrol this weekend i’ll give you an answer i mean its alot” she went to look at the woman.
“ yeah of course i can take your time really” maria nodded . “ are you her shadow” the woman joked.
“ something like that erm she ok”joel asked.
“ fine but i needed stitches which i tried to tell the old fool it was my idea not come here” y/n winced .
“ bad influence young lady” the man playfully chuckled cutting the thread. “ come back in a couple days to check it over keep it clean now off with you” he shooed her off.
“ and i thought you liked me” she pouted.
“ as much as a headache” the doc grumbled.
Maybe it was the way she was raised , a couple who could of easily left her to die but choose to care for a complete strangers child not once but twice and the conditions We're  less dangerous than before  so maybe  it was something to consider .  Like a sort of paying it forward help a child like she was . She could ask ellie to help watch on patrols but then again this was big what if the possibility  Of jackson falling and then she was trying to survive with a child and watch if she screwed kid up.
She walked Through town watching where he was . He was playing with his toys as the elderly woman watched. The way his Eyes lit Up with the snow all around til he must of felt her eyes on him suddenly he was looking right at her and wasn't charlie it was her brother lucas the way he would play , his Little chubby cheeks that went Rosie when it was cold. Yet when she blink he was gone Charlie head tilted looking at the woman . She gave a warm smile and wave although joel could see it , he knew that feeling of seeing a person of the past in someone else .
“come On darling let's get that good coffee” he smiled softly .
“ you think I could do it,  don't pretend you don't know “ she smiled weakly.
“ I was one to suggest it at meeting” he nodded .
“ you have too much faith in Me joel miller” she sighed laying her head on his shoulder As they walked .
“  nah I just know you'll know how he feels” he said wrapping his arm around her shoulder letting himself being so close.
“ I'll make  my choice after patrol” she nodded although he had a feeling that she Already  had her answer.
The two could feel the shift Hell a blind person could see it . They were so close  and yet each waiting on the other to make that move . Each afraid of reading it wrong in so sort of way although  It was just more afraid. She sat closer to him, he would touch her more letting himself get closer , each so close and so far.
They were like that the whole couple of days it was driving them both crazy  just wanting to take that step joel more so .
“ you gonna grow a pair and make a move” tommy asked as they all were tired of the dance and just wanting the two to finally just get together.
“ I was thinking talking to her tonight but since you got  like four of us out here I’ll have to change my plan” joel sighed although slightly relieved at the change of plan knowing it was safer in case nigel was out there .
“ well he's armed, Mark was too busy beating him to notice slimy prick taking them hence him want making it right” tommy huffed.
“ yeah well I ain't worried about them” joel huffed as she walked past on the horse .
“ you girls gonna keep chattering or will we get going” she smirked .
“ you were less mean when you didn't talk” tommy playfully narrowed his eyes at her.
“ well blame your brother is like that pardon box thing” she shrugged.
“ Pandora box sugar “ tommy snorted
“ yeah that too come on” she laughed as joel hopped on his own horse they all walked out. It wasn't a big one just check around make sure everything was safe make sure the cabin was empty and if it wasn't make sure it wasn't raiders. She sat on her horse humming away  eyes looking around she wasn't scared whether nigel was armed or not , he wasn't greatest a shooting and his knife or fake knife skills well they weren’t  anything to fear but she would give him on thing he was sneaky.  But he wasn't around he was definitely gone she nothing was around not an animal or infected but she stalled moment she seen the prints in snow .
“ something this way” she called bolting off before anyone could grasp her words .
“ I got her” mark headed off as joel and kai  the other man followed after.
She kept going and going she was ahead of group something she now regret something in her stomach told her to run but before she could even turn she was knocked off the horse hitting the ground with a thud knocking the air from her lung  as the sound of footstep came towards her . The crunch in the snow was she tried to focus her vision on the blur looming over her .
“ i missed ya darling” that voice , that voice that made her stomach twist and turn , the one that made the bile rise in her throat .
“ fuck you” she gasped feeling his boot heavy on her throat.
“ aint something you should say your husband dear” he pulled her up by the hair.
......
She pushed and pulled out his how not caring for how it felt like her scalp was burning in his hold. One thump to her head she was out cold.
“ good job Mark shame was fer nothing huh” jonah laughed shooting the approaching man before his men put y/n on his horse and leaving the area hearing the ones approaching .
When joel finally got there was two minute later ,  he wanted to scold her for taking a head  when he saw mark on ground and her horse empty  something told him that wasn't going to happen today .
“ where is”  joel crouched voice trailing off at the sight of more blood trailing off .
“ jonah took her  , he said he'd give me my family back if I did” mark laughed coughing as blood stained his lips . “ settlement up … fuck up north about an hour an abandoned warehouse they stay in cold months ” mark cough and spluttered.
“ get tommy on radio now” joel growled not knowing if he should save the bastard or let him suffer. Saving him would help get y/n back . “ why didn't you ask us help stupid bastard” he pushed harder on the wound making man cry out.
“ you don't know them like I do their worse than a rabid dog” .
“ well time put rabid dog down” joel growled.
“ tommy and men on their way doc too” kai spat looking down at the man , the betrayal.
“ she dies you will regret it I don't care who you think jonah is or how bad if y/n get hurt well  even devil himself will stop me” he spat .
She woke up tied up to pole in an abandoned office it seemed as she looked around .
“ well wife good to see your finally home , I may  forgive you some time but this ain't that time “ he slapped her hard making her head jerk to the side with the blunt force of it .
“ you think I'm scared I got away once I can again” she laughed only to be slapped again . “ jesus you hit like a bitch” .
“ looks like I gotta train you again I got time hell might break those legs of yours” he kicked her in the stomach making her slump over gasping for air. “ would you look at that I still take your breathe away” he chuckled.
“ when I do get free I will make sure your dead this time” she growled feeling the hilt of her blade still there.
“ well our new  man here will make sure you dont” he smiled whistling as nigel walked in  face as smug as anything .
“ ah the guy who tried rape me I'll make sure to kill him too” she spat only the mood instantly shifted as jonah head shot to the man.
“ she liar man” nigel laughed not noticing the shift.
“ his hand will show you other wise I cut him with your knife both have matching scars now real besties” she rolled her eyes.
“ show me your hand” jonah stalked closer.
“ she lying man I didn't touch her” nigel backed up his smug smile long gone . only as jonah pulled him close seeing the same blade pattern his blade across the wound .
“ you tried take what's mine huh guess both ya need teaching “ he growled knocking man to the ground kicking him hard . Giving her time to pull the knife from her sleeve cutting the binds .
He kept kicking and kicking as the man below him stopped moving only stopping when he felt the metal touch his throat.
“ put that down sweety and I'll forgive you”.
“ only thing that's being put down is you , how dumb you think I am to think you would forgive you psychotic fuck” she pressed harder making him hiss only for him to slam his head back hitting hers he pulled out of her hold and she held on the knife.
“ I don't care if it kills me but you ain't walking out this office alive “ she stood adrenaline coursing through her veins as she jumped behind the desk as he pulled his pistol out , she smiled feeling hers in her boot pulling it out she stood only for him to be right there his gun pointing right at her.  Two pulled and pushed the guns direction as she heard more shots and screaming behind her . She heard joel  calling her name that all she needed to push the gun from her to him as it went off sending her ex to the ground.
“ I ain't that scared little child bride of yours I keep my promises now she took her own revolver shooting him in the head.  Walking needing to get to him only door open their he was standing completely in front of her .  While hers showed relief , he told different story.
“hey what's wrong” she stood confused til she followed his line of site seeing what had him so concerned the knife sticking out her stomach.
“ why don't I feel it” she said slowly slumping to the floor. As joel and tommy ran over both ignoring two dead men  only focusing on her.
“ I need to stop meeting you like this” she joked looking at tommy as he torn  her husband shirt off placing it around the wound .
“ hey look at me we're  gonna get you to doc right” joel promised holding her hand.
“ joel hour way I don't think we can..” tommy hissed.
“ I got him , he thought was gonna be scared little girl but I got him” she smiled weakly Trying not to scream .
“ you show em who boss” tommy felt himself getting choked up .
“ we need to move her  some how” joel yelled feeling a sick sense of history repeating.  He couldn't watch another Person he love die in his arm not again it was good enough killing him .
Her eyes felt heavy  everything felt sore and burning yet she felt weightless .
Her hand lifting weakly towards his face holding it like it was last time she was going to see maybe She would See see him again  in another life more peaceful life not Filled with infected or Monsters under the guise of men . then Her hand felt and hit the ground , everything was cold and black  as she watched the sequence of her life passing by most of best parts involved joel  , she finally understood what those stories Meant , the ones of the Knight Saving the princess .  Joel miller was her Knight and she was happy she knew a good man , she was happy to fall In love .

So I thought I'd put my own spin on the Timestuck AU since I liked it so much
Mabel and Dipper get stuck in the 80s with younger versions of their Grunkles, with seemingly no way back to their timeline.
I endured hell for this fic, and if you wanna see me scream about it, click here. Y'all better fucking enjoy /lh
[Part 1] | [Part 2]
"You wander deeper into the cave, your footsteps uncertain.. It's so dark that even your torch can't seem to burn through the shadows. Up ahead, you see a round wooden door blocking your path. What do you do?"
Dipper put a hand to his chin and looked down at his character sheet in thought.
"You're thinking too hard about it, just open the door.." Mabel complained from the chair. She had been watching Ducktective with Stan, but now that it had cut to commercial, and Stan had gotten up, she had turned her attention to the game her brother and uncle were playing on the floor.
"You know, you're always welcome to join us, Mabel." Dipper replied, mostly as a polite way of telling her to stop talking. He grinned a little when he heard her groan and flop back against the chair. Her way of saying, 'absolutely not.'
The boy sighed and looked up at his great uncle, "But she's right. I attempt to open the door."
Ford continued his narration, "The handle gives, but the door refuses to open... Literally, it speaks to you," He took a breath and deepened his voice, getting into character, "You who have completed the Trials of Light and defeated the Hoark, in order to pass beyond this point, you must-"
"Hey Gandalf, the show's back on, keep it down." Stan interrupted, having sat back down, Mabel in his lap and his arm around her while they continued their show.
Ford glared at his brother. Sharing his home with an entire family was something he was still getting used to. He turned back to his nephew, lowering his voice, "You must answer my riddle..."
"Two faces I keep, my silver tongue digs me deep, bound by chains time and time again, when I open my jaws, your energy I drain..."
Dipper frowned, thinking hard about what that could possibly mean. He racked his brain for every possible solution in the game.. Unless..
The boy couldn't stop the grin that spread across his face, giggling a little. "It's Stan, isn't it?" Ford let out an airy wheeze, confirming his nephew's suspicion.
"Hey, watch it, you two," Stan pointed at them before Mabel gasped, tearing his attention away from them and back to the screen, "What, what happened!?"
Ford continued, "You hear a click and the door opens, satisfied by your answer. Beyond the door are two tunnels, side by side. Which one do you choose?"
"Left," Dipper said quickly, "Always the left."
"You go left, your footsteps echoing down the damp tunnel.. giving away your position. Suddenly, a large Honix is blocking your path. What do you do?"
Dipper shifted so he could see his character sheet better and focus. "I draw my sword and attack."
Ford grinned, also shifting a little to see the board better, ready for the battle. "Roll for attack strength."
Excited, Dipper didn't even look into the dice bag, grabbing whichever one was on top, sure that it was the 37 sided die. Ford's eyes widened in panic.
"Dipper wait!"
It was too late. He had already released the Infinity Sided die onto the board before his uncle could grab his hand.
Time seemed to slow as each corner took turns hitting the board until it rolled to a stop.
85
Barely registering what had happened, Ford opened his hand.. Empty.
He looked to the spot where Dipper had been. Empty.
Stan looked down at his lap.. Empty.

this is something ive had brewing in my mind for a while, but now that this aeor arc seems concluded, im really thinking on ludinus & other calamity survivors, and the idea of no perfect victim & moving forward.
ludinus & leylas are about the same age, have lived the same years. when we meet leylas, she is sending her soldiers to war in large part because she has seen the cycles of exandria unfold so consistently she cannot imagine peace until she defeats her enemy (quana still prays for it, and unity among everyone. but she holds her tongue). ludinus, on the opposite side of the mountains, knows the cycles too. and he thinks he must wage them to break them. leylas worships the luxon to free herself from the gods. ludinus despises the luxon for being seen as a god at all, that leylas as a survivor would dare worship it. both see the exact same thing but in opposite ways. but leylas gives a small smile of surprise when the m9 stop the war of ash & light. she is surprised, but happy to be wrong, in this one moment; her faith in these non dynasty folk paid off. all ludinus, one who hates cycles seeing a cycle caught short, sees, is a loss at taking more beacons, at destroying the "religious drivel" of the luxons religion. at least he can get to work on the big picture, the cycle he actually cares about, over any he enforces.
devexian & alyxian awaken the same year, devexian by the m9, in the ruins of his (and ludinus's) home. he can only laugh dryly at its fate, say it is a cruel joke of history. he picks up the pieces, tries to bring his people back to life. he wants them to start anew. he wants them to let go. if ludinus cant escape the day the city fell then it seems devexian wants nothing more than to leave it for tomorrow. alyxian has been caught in the hell of being a demigod of divinity & ruidis left to rot in half death. (depending on your netherdeep ending) he awakens to a new dawn, suddenly ancient & old in body, but.... free. freed by your party. he was torn asunder by avandra/correlon/sehanine & predathos within him, their powers festering in him as gruumsh destroyed him - and still he tries to be kind, and have faith, even if he is not the warrior he was, even if everything he ever knew was destroyed. he can see society flourish again, even after his & gruumsh's battle destroyed half of marquet. ludinus has seen society rebuild its entire course of time - and all he sees is a world never as brilliant as what it was before.
all of these calamity survivors are completely fucked. leylas is paranoid, losing her mind from living too long, and still haunted by lolth. quana is resigned to stay at her lovers side even as madness takes her when all she wants is unity with others. devexian is clearly so unwilling to face history repeating he wont tell other aeormatons their heritage. alyxian is broken & battered after an eon of nonstop torture.
but they had help from others, from kind souls, who reached a hand out. and they took that kindness and internalized it. and they have vowed to help their people any way they can. to spread that glimmer of hope. to rebuild.
ludinus hasnt. and i think there is deep tragedy in that. i dont know if he has much hope, ironically, beyond raging cleansing fire. in that broad big picture it is both incredibly real & also heartbreaking when recovery falls through the cracks so badly. to have so little of a support group of survivors around you that you smack the hand of those who came out of it differently, and not have known others who could show you it was okay to move on. you hurt other survivors in your refusal to breathe, and live too large to see the others choosing a small destiny. it is unfair to him to had to have suffered and unfair to inflict that on calamity survivors again for your own agenda.
i fixate on him not disagreeing with the bells finding a third option. deep down, he wants to have that hope the others share so fucking bad. we'll see if he ever finds it.

would you ever be interested in writing a more masc reader? i kind of got it by know you write fem!reader exclusively, so i've been wondering if you'd write something along the lines a manly gal.
like the type that sees könig do his pushups, she must also immediately try to catch up to him? she sits manspread and wears manly clothes and makes everything a raunchy sex joke and has no shame and is kind of a muscle mommy and a total gremlin? something like that? and it disarms könig completely cuz he's used to damsels in distress, but this one can do everything herself but somehow wants him?? like an equal partner?
also can u pls tell each of your königs i love them with all i have? pls? 🥺 they're like my reason for living this past year i wanna give them a big sweet kiss and pet them
Tumblr media
🤲 here, have an offering as gratitude. ignore the arms lol
Maaaan your offering 😭😭💖💞
And yes I have a habit of writing König with helpless maidens and sassy fairies don’t I 😂
So… König with masc!reader…. (Lol this turned out very rivals to lovers but I hope you enjoy!)
König can be a little off-putting. One would think that a man of his size wouldn’t get so threatened by a girl with some muscles on her... But you catch him mansplaining guns to you more than once, showing off his new rifle and then snapping his mouth shut when you fire a round of 5 bullseyes with a calm, stable breath and perfect posture.
“It’s nice,” you give it back to him, “but I’ve seen better.”
Knowing that you just threw his own words back at him – he’s always boasting on the field – König just blinks and grabs his rifle from you.
“...Where?”
“In my safe,” you shrug, trying to keep a neutral face.
And you’ve seen him during sparring, knowing already that he likes to one-up everyone. König is skilled and fierce, but he’s also competitive to the point of petty, which is why you’re amused when he suddenly turns gentle, even hesitant when paired with you.
At some point, it starts to get on your nerves though. It’s slightly insulting, even sexist, that he’s trying to treat you like a gentleman when you’re supposed to hit each other. So, you snap a good right hook through his guard and watch the man see some stars. Hoping that it would fix that attitude, you do it again, and again until he stops giving you the princess treatment.
But even after that, you see he’s holding back. The more you try to get him to attack properly, the more pissed off he gets, refusing to strike you even when you bring him down – a man twice your size – and gloat over him. His eyes are flaming because he just lost for the sake of some weird “I don’t hit women” policy, and it shouldn’t bother you. The man’s an asshole, what are you to do?
Still, it’s giving you a headache. Did you win the match only because he allowed it? You almost smack him in the head again. You already dealt with these kinds of idiots at the training program, and now you have to take shit from pros too? While you’re the pro? Jesus.
Determined to give him hell for the rest of the week, you make a lousy joke about the size of his gun when you go on a mission. It’s a bit unhanded, because this lame ass fool actually gets bothered by your quip, and you mentally beat yourself up for messing with your partner’s head before an important hostage rescue.
He barges through the door like a bull, and you purse your lips under your balaclava – on the other hand, is it even your fault if he gets killed because of some stupid Freudian joke?
This guy is simply too much fun…
So what happens is that you can’t keep your mouth shut. It’s horrid, what comes out of your lips when he’s trying to save lives. Things such as:
“Do you have your gun in hand?”
“I’ll keep an eye on your six while you take the women”
“Did you see their faces when König rammed himself in?”
The innuendos are obvious and rampant and so bad that König is surely blushing under that hood before you even board the plane. On top of everything, he rubs the barrel of his gun up and down in the plane because he’s so nervous. He does it absent-mindedly; the poor guy probably doesn’t understand the outrageous amount of Freudian jokes that could be cracked about that…
You try to pull yourself together after that because otherwise, people would start to suspect you’re having a crush on him. Army humour is army humour but you’re taking this shit a bit too far… Your jokes have never been this bad before, they certainly never induced such crazy behaviour from a guy.
...Because it turns out that you’ve awoken a demon.
At the gym, you see König watching you do pull ups – you’re the only girl there, yes, but you don’t wear some sculpting, seamless gym pants and a suggestive sports bra. You only have your old sweats and a tank top on, but the man's looking at you like he’s dreaming of either killing or fucking you. He's smashing the plates around like they've just personally insulted him, and glares at your way again, then lifts more than you’ve ever seen anyone lift before. He never talks to you: just stops and stares when you’re doing a set, then does his own, then glares.
You don’t know if it’s some kind of an awkward challenge or if he’s trying to flirt with you – menacingly – but you’re a mess after that gym session.
Next time during training, König personally offers to spar with you: he even pushes away the guy that had been assigned as your pair. And this time, he doesn’t hold back. He’s serious, and rough, and fucking frightening.
“That’s it, big boy,” you’re panting before half a minute has passed, “You finally found your groove?”
“No talking during sparring,” he grunts, and almost manages to land a blow – almost, because it ends with him on the floor. The takedown is something even KorTac’s best would be proud of, but he doesn’t allow you to gloat this time. Oh no: he rolls through it: actually, he rolls so that he lands on top of you, then smashes his whole weight on your chest to keep you down.
“Right where I want you,” he says, so brunt and brief that you’re not sure if you just imagined it.
“Is...that...so?”
You try to fight him in vain: he only presses you further into the mat and forces even your face to the side with his own.
“I thought you liked girls,” he pants into your ear, so low that the others can’t hear.
“That’s funny,” you whisper through clenched teeth, fingers curled around his shirt. “I thought you liked girls.”
You hear him draw air right beside your ear, and then – it’s unmistakable, the throbbing pulse against your thigh.
He’s getting hard.
The fucking moron is getting hard during a sparring session with you–
“There’s no need to crush your partner,” the trainer instructs, to everybody grinding on the mat in general, perhaps, but you have a feeling he’s directing the words König who’s currently choking you with his entire body.
“Is this what you want?”
He lets you breathe, only enough so you can turn and have another staring competition with him, this time with his mouth only a hair’s breadth away. Those eyes are hard as steel and as beautiful as snow, and that stare still wants to either fuck or murder you…
“Hm? You want to get crushed?”
“...Why do you think I joined the army?” You laugh breathlessly, eyes glimmering from mirth. He’s such a sight when he’s angry and confused.
Your cheeky answer only makes him more perplexed. Poor man – it’s so easy to tease him that you almost feel like a bully.
“That's right... Take your time getting up, there’s no need to rush,” you breathe, and watch the snow melt into a bewildered cerulean sea.
It sets sooner than you thought, his lids dropping as he settles to watch your lips, the heavy pulse on your neck.
“Oh I’m up already.”

❄️ WOSO FICMAS: Dec. 22 - Georgia Stanway❄️
Georgia Stanway x Reader (Bayern & Lioness) | WC: 836
Dec. 22 prompt - baking cookies
-> woso ficmas masterlist can be found here!
Whoever on your team decided that you and Georgia should be in charge of baking cookies clearly wanted you to suffer. You had about three days before the team would be bringing some sort of dessert or baked goods to training to have a little holiday party before everyone departed for the break. You had sent Georgia to the store to get the ingredients that you needed but when she called you three times to ask questions, you knew this was going to be a rough experience.
You waited until the day before to start baking, not wanting to have the cookies done too soon before you needed them. You didn’t allow Georgia to help, knowing your girlfriend would take the opportunity to mess with you.
Georgia sat on the kitchen counter, watching you prep the kitchen to start making the cookies. The midfielder eyed the bag of flour you had sitting next to her, tempted to throw a bit at you when you were least expecting it. You had your back to her as you washed your hands so you didn’t notice when she poured a bit of flour into her hand.
You turned around to grab the towel to dry your hands as you felt powder hitting your face. You stood for a moment, face covered in flour as you heard Georgia trying (and failing) to hold her laughter in.
“See babe! I told you it would snow!” your girlfriend joked, giving up on holding her laughter in.
You sighed at her statement and turned back to the sink to wash your face off. This time when you turned to reach for the hand towel, Georgia kept her hands to herself and let you be. You dried your hands and face, refusing to look at your girlfriend who had a bright smile on her face.
You tried to focus on the directions in front of you but your girlfriend who was loudly singing behind you made it difficult. You rolled your eyes at her antics, doing your best to tune her out.
“Hey babe, would you still love me if I was a worm?” the midfielder randomly asked as she stopped singing.
“What the hell are you talking about,” you groaned, throwing a look in her direction.
“It’s a simple question! Would you still love me if I was a worm, yes or no?” Georgia spoke, repeating her question like it made complete sense.
“No, I don’t think I would still love you if you were a worm, babe,” you huffed, turning your focus back to what you were making.
Georgia gasped dramatically from behind you as if you offended her with your answer. When you didn’t give her a reaction, she hopped off the counter and moved so she was standing right behind you. You could feel her breath on the back of your neck and you felt your face heat up at her closeness.
“Babe. babe. Babeeeee” Gerogia whined in your ear, bored out of her mind.
“Love, please just let me finish and then we can do whatever you want,” you tried your best to ignore the begging.
Georgia huffed this time, moving away slightly and you thought you would finally have some peace to finish mixing all the ingredients. You were sorely mistaken when you felt an egg crack on your head. Neither of you moved, both in shock. You heard Georgia snicker behind you and you turned to face her.
Your girlfriend was half expecting you to tell her off but her surprise when you threw a handful of flour at her was better than yelling. You both stood in the middle of the kitchen, now wearing the ingredients you needed to bake cookies.
“You're gonna regret that, love,” Georgia smirked at you, reaching past you to grab the entire bag of flour.
“Wait, G. Let's talk about this, I was just getting payback,” you tried to persuade your girlfriend into putting the bag down but it was no use.
Before you could even attempt to move out of the way, Georgia dumped the entire bag over your head, covering you with flour. You stood in shock as the midfielder howled with laughter at your current state. You shook your head to try and shake off some of the flour before looking up at your girlfriend.
Georgia could see the devious glint in your eyes as you rushed into her, wrapping your arms around her body essentially getting flour all over her. The two of you went back and forth coating each other in various foods, wasting the ingredients you had bought to make cookies for the team.
You ended up having to wake up earlier than normal to rush to the store to buy store-made cookies and get rid of the packaging to try and pass them off as homemade. No one but Georgia knew the truth and you had to force her to not tell everyone that you didn’t make the cookies like you were supposed to.
