Helena Bonham Carter is one of my favorite actresses and not just because we have the same birthday lol. I just see my self in so many of her roles. This was one of her very first rolls. She was 19 when this was filmed. It’s something about her open minded, free thinking, endlessly creative Gemini spirit that always inspires me. I recently rewatched this film and I’m glad I did. It’s super dreamy; filled with gorgeous nature views, romance, philosophical conversations and travel. I recommend it!

If Severus Snape were described as attractive in the books, I bet more people would like him. So many people love Bellatrix (the same people who hate Snape), even though she's done horrible things (worse than Snape and she felt no remorse), and it's because she isn't described as ugly. Plus, in the movies, she is played by Helena Carter who is beautiful, and while Alan Rickman was attractive he wasn't conventionally beautiful. I love Severus Snape, but I was never attracted to Alan's Snape.
