Jane hates pranks, especially ones like these. She just thinks that they're not funny. Now she doesn't care much when it happens to others, but her?? She's genuinely upset with you and want's a bit of space. You'll have to apologise to her and mean it because this could actually damage your relationship for the short term.

Alec wouldn't find it funny either, but doesn't want space like Jane. It scares him, the thought of you leaving him, and he breaks a little on the inside. For a while his mind races and he will need some reassurance. If you didn't feel guilty then you sure do now.

Demetri get's defensive. No, he doesn't want to break up, but you've activated his fight of flight response and he's ready to pick an argument now. He'll say things he doesn't mean but so will you, and eventually you two will make up but not before giving eachother the cold shoulder for a while.

Felix is hurt. He's incredibly hurt. Don't get me wrong he's annoyed and irritated too but the main thing that comes across is hurt. He'd ask what he did wrong, what happened between you two. (If you don't apologise to him rn i swear to god.) And yes, he's strong, he's a warrior, he's capable of ripping a mans head off his shoulders in half a second. But this isn't work it's personal. Why would you do this to him?

Heidi is another one to have a hot flash of arguments and then give you the cold shoulder. When all is said and done she still wants to spend her eternity with you, but what happened in that moment upset her. She'll make you swear to never pull any shit like this again

It’s been a week since I’ve been living in the Volturi castle in Italy, for the first few days I stayed in my room that I shared with Felix, the bed was mainly mine since he doesn’t sleep but sometimes I craved for his touch at night to help calm me to sleep

It was late at night and I was ready for bed, Heidi was another vampire I grew close to, she was easy to talk too and made me feel at home, she even went out shopping and bought me a much of new clothes, including the silk deep red night dress I was wearing right now as I was cuddled alone in the bed I so desperately want Felix in but alas he had guard duty

Finishing my book I laid it aside when the doors open revealing the one vampire I was missing, I could feel my heart quicken and my smile brighten as he walked towards me

“You’re back! I missed you” I said jumping in his lap as he sat on the bed, his strong arms quick to tighten around my waist

“Oh how I missed you too amore, what a sexy dress and my favorite color too, such a tempterous” he said as his eyes roamed my body his hands squeezing my hips

“Heidi picked it out, I was hoping you’d like it” I said placing my hands on his hips

“Oh amore I don’t like it I adore it, I adore you” he said nuzzling his nose into my neck, he had admitted that he loved doing this because I was warm and he craved my scent

“I was wondering….i mean only if you want to of course….would you maybe stay with me in the bed tonight? I know you don’t sleep but I want to feel you next to me while I sleep” he raised his head and smiled gently

“I’d be honoured” in a flash he changed out of his daily work clothes into a pair of grey sweatpants and a slim fitted black long sleeve top, his form showing beautifully in this attire compared to the jacket he usually had on, only making me crave him more

Climbing into bed next to me I curled into his side flaring my legs over his lap as my head rested on his arm, his other hand come to rest on my hip, he was hard and cold but god did it feel right

“Sleep my little one, you need your rest”

“You’ll stay right?”

“All night, I’ll be here when you wake” and slowly I drifted off into the best sleep I’ve had since being here

I woke up finally feeling relaxed looking up to see Felix was still holding me with a book in his other hand

“Good morning handsome!” I smiled as I sat up rubbing my eyes

“Morning amore, sleep well? You were talking in your sleep a lot” he smirked

“Oh no what did I say?” Nervously fiddling with my fingers not remembering anything I might have dreamed about

“Nothing crazy just mumbling my name a lot, were you dreaming of my little one?” He asked as he grazed his hand over my exposed thigh

“Umm I don’t remember….oh god this is so embarrassing” I groaned trying to look anywhere but his piercing ruby eyes

“Don’t be I quite enjoyed it, even though I love being with you darling I have to get to the throne room for the day” he said as he stood up and walked over to our shared wardrobe and I watched as he stripped out of his clothes leaving him in a pair of black boxers, his back was muscular and strong, his legs like tree trunks and when he turned his abs had me weak

“Like what you see darling?” He laughed as he pulled on his work clothes

“Was your body sculpted by the gods wow” my mouth agape from awe

He finished getting ready then was kneeling infront of me at the side of the bed

“I’ll see you this evening, I have something special planned, wear something nice and meet me in the gardens amore” he smiled placing a gentle kiss to my hair line before he was gone

Times like this made me feel incredibly self conscious, he was beautiful not a single flaw and I was just a human, my hair had bust offs, my skin wasn’t spot less like marble as his was, my body wasn’t extremely toned like his, what did he see in me?

Grudgingly I dragged myself out of bed and pulled on a pair of casual leggings and hoodie for now, putting my hair into a ponytail and leaving the room in hopes to find Heidi

Thankfully it wasn’t hard finding her in the library as she was sat on a leather couch flipping through a fashion magazine, she quickly looked my way as I head towards her, plopping myself down on the couch beside her

“Y/n! Is everything okay you’re looking a bit down hun” she said as she placed her magazine to the side giving me her full attention

“I’ve just been insecure I guess, I may or may not have seen Felix’s body this morning and he’s just so perfect I mean how does he not have girls hanging off of him and he gets saddled with me, I know we’re mates but I feel like he’ll get bored of me and realize he can have so much better” I said as my face flushed and I could feel the tears well in my eyes

“Oh hun don’t think like that, trust me he adores you, you should hear the way he fawns over when he’s talking with Demetri, he thinks the world of you, he worships the ground you walk on just give it time everything will itself out”

“Thanks Heidi I appreciate it, hey Felix said he had something special planned tonight and said I had to dress nice, and seeing as you’re an expert in everything fashion wanna help me get ready” I asked hoping to cheer the mood and distract myself

“Omg I’ve been waiting for this day! Let’s go!”

Heidi did one last curl in my hair and we were finally done, she had me all dolled up like I was going to a ball

“How do you like it?!” She asked looking at me through the mirror

“I love it thank you so much! I feel like a princess” my dress was a deep grey covered in sparkles stopping at my mid thigh, a black lace cover over my shoulders, my makeup subtle but classy with sparkles on my eyes

“Because you are a princess, now it’s about time Felix will be getting off now go make his jaw drop” she smiled pushing me towards the door

I made my way through the long winding hallways, pushing open the back door finally feeling the fresh night air, the garden glowing with the little decorations the Volturi members each added, suddenly a gush of wind whipped by me, I smiled turning around hoping to see Felix but was faced with someone I wasn’t formally acquainted with, I’ve seen him around sometimes but he was usually lurking in the shadows giving me an unsettled feeling thankfully I was always with Felix but now that I’m alone I felt fear, complete fear as his eyes roamed every inch of me

“Why don’t you look exquisite, and here all alone what a treat” his smirk widening from ear to ear

“Felix is gonna be here any minute you better leave” I said anxiously as I stepped back

“Well I better hurry then” in an instant he was on me pushing my hard to the ground knocking the wind out of me, I tried to push him away but it was no use and I could feel my life flash before my eyes, this isn’t how I wanted to go I didn’t wanna go at all I only just found my soulmate, life was just starting and the only thing I could think of to hopefully save me was scream

“FELIX HELP ME” the scream i let out was desperate and blood curdling but i was too late as pain seared through my shoulder, his death dug deep into my flesh, i could feel my blood run down my back

Almost just as quickly as he latched on he was ripped away, by who I don’t know because the venomous pain coursing through my shoulder was distracting, excruciating, soon Felix was leaning over me panic written all over his face, Demetri on my other side

“FELIX IT BURNS MAKE IT STOP” I screamed again

“You can do it Felix, she’s not ready yet” Felix looked conflicted before he huffed a breathe he didn’t have and sunk his teeth into the previous wound sucking out the venom as soon as that scorching pain subsided I became weak as Felix clung to me

“Felix she’s clean, you’re taking too much” with a snap he was off me, my blood dripping down his face, scared, worried

“I’m so sorry I couldn’t protect you mio amore, I should have been here” he said as he laid my head on his lap

“You saved me Felix, this wasn’t your fault…….I…I love you” I said weakly before I faded into unconsciousness

Waking up the light beaming through the window bothering my eyes, quickly shielding them as the bed dipped beside me

“Thank god you’re awake, I was so worried Angel” I turned seeing Felix, his skin paler than usual, eyes as black as coal which ive never seen before

I raised my hands tracing my fingers over his cool cheek

“Are you okay? You look sick if that’s possible”

“You’ve been out for 2 days I couldn’t leave your side, I haven’t been feeding I just needed to be with you” he smiled pushing my hair back

“I’m okay, a little sore but I’m fine because of you, you still need to take care of yourself too tho my love” he nuzzled into my hand which warmed by heart

“I wish the night went differently I had so much planned for us” he said as he climbed into the bed next to me so I could cuddle into him, everything felt right again

“I had a whole picnic for us, well you mostly, the moon was gonna be illuminating us and I know you love that, then I was gonna present you with a gift I have had with me since I found out about mates millennia ago” my heart pumped with excitement I sat up to look at him

“You have a gift for me!”

“Yes amore here I’ve held onto it long enough, now it’s with the one I got it for” he said reaching into his pocket and pulling out a long thin box

He opened it to reveal a gorgeous bracelet, one you’d never be able to find even in the last 100 years, a unique gold chain with added gold tiny flowers along the chain and at the center a ruby crystal surrounded by more flowers

“Felix it’s beautiful, I love it! Would you help me putting it on?” I asked as I gave him my wrist which he was quick to place the bracelet around

“It’s beautiful on you amore, it was made for you” he smiled as he placed a kiss to my hand like a gentleman

“I love you Felix”

“I love you more than you could ever know little one”

You were reading so intently that you didn’t even notice the guards come in. It was probably for the best– the part of the employee manual that explained the whole vampire thing was the very last chapter. You were still reading about sorting the mail.

This was your first real ‘adult’ job, and you were desperate to do a good job. Generous pay and an included suite had forced your hand to apply for this job, even though you had little job experience besides working at your family’s bakery. But ever since telling them that you were bi, your family had kicked you out and cut you off. You couldn’t believe it when the Volterra Historical Preservation Organization (VHPO) offered you a job when you had no address and no references and no previous pertinent job experience.

You wanted to live up to their trust in you: you wore your most professional close, showed up early, and were reading the employee manual like your life depended on it (it did, but you didn’t know that yet).

“Is that the new secretary?”

This question made you look up in the direction of the voice. Heidi was standing in the reception hall with Demetri, and her eyes were fixed on you. Her red eyes, which made you flinch and your heartbeat pick up.

You quickly stood up and set the manual down, telling yourself crossly that nothing was wrong, and that perhaps she was wearing contacts.

“I’m Y/N.” You said, smoothing your shirt down and extending a hand. Heidi glided forwards and took your hand, gently pressing it to her lips before you could try to shake it. You felt blood rush to your face as she leaned over the desk.

“I’m Heidi. So nice to meet you.”

“I- I… it’s nice to meet you too,” you stuttered.

Heidi glanced down. You were only on chapter 4. Pity, she wanted to take you to her room right now and do unspeakable things to you and your innocent, warm little body…

“Heidi, we should get going,” Demetri said, trying not to laugh. It was comical to watch the most beautiful woman in the world fall head over heels for the new secretary.

Heidi turned and glared at him. If looks could kill. Unfortunately, Demetri was right– the masters were waiting.

“I will see you soon, Y/N,” she promised, rubbing her thumb over the back of your hand before walking away.

You stood behind your desk in shock for a few minutes before sitting down.

Meanwhile, Demetri was back to teasing Heidi.

“You’ll have to find a good replacement snack for Santiago, it was his turn to eat the secretary.”

“He can have my 4th best catch for a decade,” Heidi grumbled (the top 3 were always reserved for the masters).

“That should suit him,” Demetri said with a laugh. It was fun to see Heidi in love.

As you will realize when you read this I was going to post this on Valentines Day but I was so focused on other things I postponed it😅.I remember this post of how reader would leave JJK men full of kisses and leave marks, that was part of my inspiration. It’s amusing how in the past I used to despise Valentine's day but once I met my mates, I've been looking forward to it. Usually Demetri is incharge of planning things with Felix on occasion helping him. Demetri takes this holiday very seriously, he tends to be relaxed and calm but when this time of the year comes around he morphs to a whole other person. He’s running in and out of our shared room, barking orders to Felix and Heidi about a certain shade of red he needs. He never asks me for help because in his words “You don't need to lift a finger my angel” and then he's off running. 

Every year he outdoes himself, the room is always decorated in the richest of red, to every shade of pink decorating the walls. He truly knows how to spoil his mates. When he is not ordering Felix around,

Demetri likes for him to be by my side while he does everything. This year I thought I would try to relieve some of the pressure of Demetri by trying something new.

I recently started wearing lipstick, I have a variety of different shades and the guys like to get me new ones almost every week. Safe to say I have every color imaginable at this point. I usually like to wear reds to dark pinks, when I wear those shades I catch Felix and Demetris gaze lingering longer than needed on my lips. On those days they don't kiss me because they fear the lipstick will get all smudge or it will go away. It's thoughtful of them but at the same time I want that to happen, I want it to get a bit messy. 

With that being said I want to litter their faces with kisses, from their handsome faces, to their necks. I don't necessarily want this to turn sexual or for it to lead to another passionate night, not that I would not be opposed to the idea. They always drown me in love so in return I want to do the favor. 

And so as I sat on Felix's lap with comfort, Demetri started to question my request.  “How did that idea come to your mind?”

“I don't know, I was just looking at my lipsticks one day, and you two are not so subtle at how you stare at my lips all day when I wear certain shades”

“You can't blame us for staring, your lips are begging for us, and you don't make it easier when you pout”

I do that on purpose, being able to mess with both of them is the highlight of my day. Considering they've been around for so long it's been my goal to fulfill that hole they had for so long.. Felix has been my greatest challenge for sure, he’s not easily persuaded by my acts whereas for me I jump him at any given point. 

For Demetri, he can easily become putty for me, he always has his hands on me but there can be times where he can be serious like Felix. There was a time where I heard Demetri ask Felix how he can stay so composed with me around and he admitted that he can't. He only acts like that to mess with me and to see what else I will do to try to ‘break him’. We truly are a match made in heaven. 

“I don't see you complaining”

Felix tilts my chin up with his index finger to face him. “We are not complaining, we could never when it comes to you”

I felt a small smile spread onto my face as Demetri grabbed my hand. “I think we should try this idea of yours out”

“Really”

“Yes really, angel”

I instantly hop off Felix's lap and run to my unnecessarily grand vanity set that the guys got me when I moved in. When I first saw it I thought it was a desk for Felix from how big the table was but I do love the space it provides. I look at the endless shades of lipsticks I have, I think I will do two different shades for each one. For sure I will do burgundy wine for Felix and a rich red for Demetri. 

As I apply the red on, I can see both Felix and Demetri gazing at me, their focus is on how I glide the lipstick on my lips slowly as I have my lips parted. As I apply a small gloss on it to make sure it will leave a mark when my lips make contact with their skin I see Demetri lick his lips slightly. 

When I turn to them their eyes are right on my lips but my eyes turn to Demetri since he will be my first victim. 

“Metri I picked this shade specifically for you, I thought this color would look nice on your skin”

He nodded as he helped me settle on his lap. I remove his button up slowly to reveal his bare skin to me. The temptation to just cover each inch of his chest with color is so strong. I cradled his face as I leaned to give his cheek a kiss, and to say I was right, this color suits him perfectly. I took my time in covering his face with endless marks from my lips, he had his eyes closed through the whole experience. He must be really enjoying this because he is not saying anything. In the corner of my eye I see Felix watching me intensely, his eyes following my lips as I move from different areas of our lovers face. 

When I pulled away from Demetris face, every inch of his face was covered in red. I leaned his head back so his neck was exposed to me, he looked so vulnerable like this, so tempted in just biting him. I lean once again as I kiss him right on his throat. I heard him do a small whine, I always knew he was the most sensitive in the throat. My hands started to caress his chest down to his abdomen as I was touching each dip of his muscle. I felt his hands go to my waist as he pulled me flush against his chest now.

When I felt satisfied with my work I pulled completely off him to see my art. He was my canvas as my lips were the paintbrushes. He looked at me with half opened eyes, he looked like he was drunk on love. I give him a playful wink and go off to my vanity again to do the same routine I did for Demetri but this time for Felix. The shade was a bit darker than Demetri’s as that was my plan.

I went over to Felix who looked so eager, his shirt was long gone as he sat there with his chest exposed. Without me being able to think twice, he pulled me eagerly onto his lap as he rested his large hands on my waist. His eyes looked like he's been neglected for too long, almost looking like a kicked puppy. He pulled me in closer so we were chest to chest as his eyes stayed on my lips, I felt myself smile slightly at his impatience, I never saw him like this. Where has my stoic giant gone?

As I gave his face endless marks of my lipstick I saw his infamous shark-like grin widening more, Demetri would scoff each time Felix grin would widen. Once his face was done I started to make my way down to his neck, he would move his head without me having to tell him. As I got to the area where his shoulder meets his neck I bit into him. His hiss made a small giggle escape from me, even Demetri did a chuckle. 

“You little minx”

I pulled away with a devious smile as he rolled his eyes. They now both looked as if Cupid himself was the culprit of the endless marks on their faces. Felix and Demetri both had the same love drunk gaze, as I sat there between them with a proud grin.

“Our turn”

“Huh?!”

 Felix pushed me gently on the bed as Demetri ran off to my vanity to grab something. When he returned he had lipsticks, the same ones I used on them not that long ago. Felix leaned into my ear as his warm breath fanned it as he spoke

“You thought we were going to leave you bare? Oh little rose, we are about to cover your whole body now as a thank you for that wonderful experience”

Both stared down at me as I laid there helplessly, their gazes hungry as they were set to devour me.

A/N: Hiii I am doing good ❤️ This is so silly and short. Felix and his mate are very silly in this so I am a little bit embarrassed lol. I hope you like it 🫶🏻 Thank you for the request honey!

Vampires did not marry ever. That is what you learnt when you were brought to Volterra when it was known you were Felix’s mate. He was the executor of the court there. Over two thousands years old and never had there been someone else in his life that compared to you. Mates were sacred. You would only meet them once and if you lost them, you would succumb to grief. Because of how sacred the meaning of a mate was, vampires did not need to any other kind of ritual to show they were each others lovers. 

But you were still human. Not for long anymore; the date was set for the transformation. It was just that the whole though of mates had a different meaning for you still. You could feel the bond with him. The giant vampire was devoted to you and you wanted to devote yourself to him everyday. It was just that you had always learnt in your life that when you would meet your soulmate you would get married. Vampires did not marry and so your whole fantasy of a proposal was lost in just seconds. 

The secretary of the Volturi was eating snacks all day. You had asked for a few out of boredom. The two of you loved trying out new snacks. She got you a few ring pops and made a comment about how you could marry Felix with them. The two of you giggled about the idea of it but in a whimsical moment you thought you could actually do it. Felix would think it is silly but it is not permanent and that way you could show him some human love. 

Now, you were not really the most confident and extravert person out there so you had to get him for a minute alone. Just the two of you. If Demetri or Heidi were nearby you would stumble with anxiety because those two were always gossiping like crazy. You loved them, you just wanted this to be a silly moment between you and Felix. 

Felix who was handsome and loving and very tall. His dark hair and dark red eyes and his beautiful features. You wondered if you would look beautiful next to him when turned vampire as well. You sometimes felt strange looking so human and fragile next to him. His cold and marble like touch did never help much with that. You thought of his hands and giggled imagining a ring pop around his finger. 

“Felix,” you giggled, finding him next to Demetri guarding a library.

“What is it, amor?” He looked down at you with a grin. 

You tried to ignore the way Demetri smirked at you, grabbing Felix’s hand to guide him away.

“Little one, I cannot stray away far. It is my duty-” 

“Please Felix. Just around the corner so we are alone? It will be quick.” You pleaded with him. 

You heard the way he sighed and the way Demetri snickered. Oh, you knew Demetri was gonna tell Heidi about this. But he wouldn’t know the truth at least. Guiding Felix towards a spot around the corner you had him sit down on one of the benches. 

“Felix, first of all; this is not serious.” You giggled nervously. 

He smirked, amused by your giggles. “I am waiting, amor.”

Your giggles grew louder when you kneeled in front of him. His smirk grew as you balanced your feet. Taking out one ring pop you cleared your throat: “Felix, will you marry me?” You lifted the ring pop so he could see it properly. 

Felix’s laughter boomed across the hall. He carefully took the ring pop from you: “Yes love, I will marry you. You are sweet.”

Your cheeks heat up from his compliments. You watched him put the ring pop on around his ring finger, it fit perfectly. It looked out of place with the way he wore a black suit. You giggled again when he smirked down at the ring pop. 

“You got this from Gianna? The secretary?”

“I did. I was thinking about us when I saw it.”

“You humans are strange creatures.”

“Uh, you are just as strange Felix.”

He smirked, “is that so? You will be one of us soon.”

You placed your arms on his knees, leaning on him. “Well, I look forward to that. I like the idea of being like you.”

You smiled when he cupped your cheek and leant forward to place a kiss on your forehead. 

“I look forward to that too, my love. Now, if you don’t mind. I need to showcase my ring to my friends. It is important for everyone to know we are to get married.”

“Nooo.”

How would the Denali sisters individually deal with Heidi trying to flirt with mc?

(to me, Heidi is basically the volturi version of the sisters, especially with her gift)

Ohhh, now that's a spicy combo. Can't believe we never talked about Heidi aka The Fisher before. I mean-

For anyone unaware of Heidi's story: She discovered her gift when she settled down with her coven (which Victoria was part of as well, btw). Basically, humans find it impossible to stay away from her, drawn in by her ethereal beauty. Vampires are affected by it too, making them easier to manipulate and bend to her will. Her ability to more or less control those around her is why Aro wanted her, so he promptly decided that her coven was "too large" and, therefore, drawing too much attention. Heidi's maker was executed and Heidi herself deemed "worthy" of being spared. In other words: Your usual Volturi BS. Heidi was then compelled to betray her own coven and join the Volturi by Chelsea, who can influence emotional ties - so basically make or break bonds.

Aight so, first off: I think each of them would be absolutely furious, livid, foaming at the mouth-

...But it's the Volturi, so they can't show that. Instead, they do their best to remain as respectful as possible while making abundantly clear that this hooman is very much taken, tyvm. But it kills them. They'd rather gouge their own eyes out than pretend that attempting to steal their mate wouldn’t be a death sentence under literally any other circumstances. I mean, listen-

Heidi's a bit of a bitch, it has to be said. Rawr. No sane vampire would ever dare flirt with another vampires's mate, much less right in front of them. I'd like to think it's kinda an unspoken rule. Like, imo, killing another vampire isn't considered half as treacherous as stealing from them. It's just...you just don't do that. End of the story.

Back in the day, she's done nothing else but get the job done with zero feelings involved. Because feelings don't belong on the battlefield. Feelings mean distraction. And distraction means death-

"My...such insolence in the face of law. Are you sure you want to do this, love?" Heidi mocks, attempting to sneak a peek at the treasure kept hidden from her. "Why not have some fun...together?"

Somewhere behind her, a chorus of sharp hisses rings out, prompting her to throw a quick glance over her shoulder.

Irina's sisters are absorbed in a dance of their own. Tanya seems to wage war with herself while simultaneously battling her livid sister, who looks on the verge of starting something she sure as hell couldn't finish. Speaking of-

It's clear what this bitch is doing. Or trying to. Irina can feel it - the unmistakable pull of Heidi's gift.

"Why so hostile?" the devil pouts, her prowling coming to a stop. "It seems to me you are a most generous being..."

As if to prove her point, Heidi casts a fleeting look towards the bickering sisters.

Judging by the haughty smile that slowly stretches across blood-red lips, she thinks the display utterly pathetic.

"What's one more?" she asks then, turning her attention back to the challenge at hand, eyes twinkling with unabashed excitation.

The pressure is growing ever more persistent, tugging and pulling at her, compelling her to heed every command this devil in disguise asks of her.

It's suffocating.

...Not nearly as suffocating as the all-consuming rage Irina feels in that moment, however.

"...In the face of law?" she echoes, disdain clear in her voice as she steps closer, MC still tucked protectively behind her. "That's a rather rich statement, wouldn't you say?"

"Irina!" Tanya hisses in the background.

Other than a slow, dangerous tilt of her head, Heidi remains still.

Irina pushes on, "Though I suppose some of us are more reliant on thieving than others - even those who preach against it."

By now, the irresistible pull has dampened to a mere plucking - no more vexing than a petulant child.

Burning red eyes are the only indication her words have hit home, but for Irina, that's more than enough.

"Come, maličký," the blonde urges, turning her back without another glance. "Let's go home."

With firm but gentle precision, she ushers MC towards their only way out of this hellhole. Her sisters are quick to join her, flanking them on either side.

"That's a rather rich statement...wouldn't you say?" Heidi mocks, stopping the quartet in their tracks just as they are about to round the corner towards safety. She doesn't elaborate further. She doesn't need to.

Their story is well-known among their kind.

"I trust the date is set?"

There it is.

The dreaded question.

Irina and Kate share a look, barely quick enough not to seem suspicious, before their attention shifts to Tanya. The eldest sister, usually the epitome of composure when put on the spot like this, seems at a loss for words. Time ticks by, the only response a gaze sharp as a blade as it drills into Heidi. The brunette answers with a scrutinizing look of her own, one that seems to grow heavier as the seconds trickle by.

In any case, it's been far too long.

"Sure is," MC lies through her teeth, the urge to avert her gaze almost unbearable when red eyes snap to her. She keeps her head held high though, fully aware that any sign of weakness would be considered an act of deceit.

"...Very well," the devil relents after what feels like an eternity. "Out of my sight, then."

With that, she turns her back, releasing them from the shackles of judgement.

For now.

Resisting the urge to breathe a sigh of relief, Irina moves to steer them out-

"One more thing."

With no choice but to obey, the sisters and MC turn back around, expecting to be met with a word of warning - one last reminder that the Sword of Damocles hangs but by a thread.

The effect of her 'gift' wanes the longer you're around her.

Someone who experiences sexual attraction differently (or not at all) might not be affected (aces and demisexuals as an example).

The wiki states that her power is; - mind based, - equally effective on humans and vampires; men and women, - fallible, it can be resisted although it's hard especially if she's 'determined'.

What could this mean? Imagines;

1.) Fresh Volturi guards absolutely losing their minds. Meanwhile, the seasoned guards mock and laugh. It could almost be like a hazing ritual; Heidi having fun seeing what stupidity she can get the newbie to do.

2.) It would be easier for a vampire than a human to resist. After all, they have a different 'beauty standard' level, right?

So, if your human OC, for whatever reason, joins the Volturi and DOESN'T respond to her... yeah, they're labeled as 'weird'. Sorry.

Hiii ❤️ So I think often about how the volturi guards, specifically Demetri, Felix and Heidi, would be with a hoh mate. I just think they would be accepting and loving nonetheless but also struggle a lot. How do you think their reactions would be upon their mates excitement about hearing everything for the first time once turned?

I think as a general thing they would struggle, yes. These are creatures that have had peak senses and then some for hundreds of years. They probably do not remember what their senses were like as a human, even imagining what this mate goes through would be very difficult for them. That goes for just about all vampires unless they had hearing related issues themselves as a human. However, I do not believe any of the guards you mention here did live through that sort of ordeal.

𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐢: As in any situation, Demetri would overthink the entire matter and probably make a few mistakes. However, this tracker is nothing but willing to learn and understand the short while his mate would have to go through. I feel like he would take his mate on a world tour of all his favourite places to introduce his mate to their now more than perfect hearing. Hopes they enjoy his voice above everything else though.

𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐱: Patience incarnate, Felix would probably fare the best with trying to accommodate his mate before the eventual change. He has spent centuries of adapting to different guard’s and their various challenges or quirks upon becoming vampires. Would probably sit down with his mate before the change to know what they would want to hear clearly first, second, third… He would make sure their mortal wishes would be remembered in their new life in case they forget.

𝐇𝐞𝐢𝐝𝐢: Now I believe she is a certified sweetheart, and would fuss over them after the turning, terrified they would be extra overwhelmed from all the new sounds. This woman who is always so calm is for the first time looking quite frazzled, will have to hold Gustav the entire change for comfort. The first thing her mate probably hears is his meows upon waking up, and then there is that melodious voice that belongs to Heidi.

Oh god no.

The first rule to making 1500 people disappear is you don't make 1500 people disappear. You physically can't, at no point in history have 1500 people been able to disappear without people noticing. The reason we know so many painstaking details about the RMS Titanic, who was where when and exactly how the ship was built, is that a massive investigation was launched into how the ship sank. You'll remember the Malaysian Airline disaster a few years back, and you remember it because of the amount of attention and resources that were poured into uncovering what had happened.

In times past you might have been able to make away with a ship more easily and have it be noticed later, because the absence of wireless communication systems meant a ship not making it to port could simply mean they were delayed. Even then, though, people would notice and it would attract a lot of attention. The SS Waratah, which departed for Cape Town from Durban in July of 1909 and was expected to reach her destination on the 29th of July, had people looking for her on August 1st even if she wasn't reported officially missing until much later. An inquiry was launched the next year, with an emphasis on "Why haven't we found anything?". This was a 211 passenger casualty: imagine the inquiry, the search effort, for a 1500 passenger ship.

Even with the RMS Titanic many of the dead had worn life vests, several hundred people were recovered in the months after the disaster. There were bodies sighted around the place the SS Waratah had last been seen, though none were recovered. Point being, what's lost at sea is not always lost at sea. Heidi would have to create a record of her 1500 people having been aboard the ship she intends to sink, without them actually being on board or else she has to somehow ensure none of them will float to the surface after the fact.

You'll notice the ships on this wiki site generally have a few things in common: they had a lot of passengers and they were not expected to be lost. A fishing boat might be lost without attracting much surprise, this was something people knew to expect. During wartime, doubly so.

A ship containing any number of passengers, though, that wasn't expected to be lost, that will have people talking about it, investigating, trying to find out what happened even if we go back a few centuries. In the modern age, the search would be on every headline.

The Volturi would not be able to keep the secret for any amount of time if they attempted anything like this.

Hi. I have a few thoughts about "Breaking Dawn". I am 50/50 with these options, maybe they are both correct or both are not correct. Mayer wrote that all vampires know how to use modern technology because

1. So that vampires don't look pathetic and insignificant in the eyes of modern people who are surrounded by these technologies.

2. Vampires actually interact with these things, Bella is an unreliable storyteller in this.

Imagine stone statues that used to be people, but now they eat people. The cute things they have they took from the corpses of their victims. They don't watch movies or listen to music (don't know how to use technology or don't their senses perceive it?), don't talk to people and fight to the death for territory and food with other vampires. Doesn't sound cool, does it? A vampire who is 300-500 years old with a MacBook and a Range Rover is something else.

See this is really fascinating to me, especially back when I was actively reading fanfic, to see how differently other people interpreted it. Because when I originally read the books, my impression was that yeah, they weren't doing any of this. They were living in the woods just eating people and not going near humans at all because they couldn't without killing them. I thought it was really super hard, borderline impossible, for human-killing vampires to really interact with the human world in any meaningful way. That they couldn't pop into a movie theater and watch a film because the temptation to kill everyone would be too great and then it would be a whole thing and the Volturi might come after them. Like, at the time I thought Jasper going into a diner in the first place was super weird; why would he do that (other than so the cute diner story can happen, of course!), especially when he was already thirsty! Seemed to be asking for trouble!

And so, yeah, I didn't think being a Twilight style vampire sounded that cool. Living in the forest attacking random hikers and then wearing their clothes? Can't sleep? Can only drink blood and not enjoy food at all? No thanks. Sounds awful. What's the point of immortality if you can't like, DO stuff? Even the Volturi, Patrons of the Arts that they are, allegedly have just sat still on their thrones for so long they have literally gathered dust and started to petrify. They aren't going out and exploring the world, they aren't being active and engaged. They're sitting there like the stone people they are.

But then other people interpreted it totally differently and wrote vampires outside the Cullens having fairly Cullen-like lives with enjoying human world arts and culture and tech. Other vampires who had jobs and cool cars and nice houses. And certainly I've read and seen plenty of other vampire stories that do that, but I thought originally that Twilight vampires were much more 'feral' for the lack of the better word and hidden, that the whole vegetarian thing DID allow the Cullens a level of access to the human world that other vampires didn't have.

I've now come to think it's somewhere in the middle. I think Twilight vampires are still pretty nomadic, generally, and out of touch with the human world, but not as completely as I thought before. The whole red eyes thing are a bit of problem, but with colored contacts (like Heidi uses) or sunglasses, it's not a huge thing in the modern world. And I think the temptation to hunt is not as extreme as I originally had thought, either. That they probably can sit in a diner or movie theater or library for awhile and be fine as long no one is actively bleeding. But I still think the average Twilight vampire probably leads a pretty 'boring' life that's mostly about where they are going to find their next victim and trying not to draw attention to themselves. The average vampire isn't scrolling TikTok on their phone, because they don't have one, and don't have money to pay for service, because they don't have a job or a bank account. But they might fool around with the phone of their victim for a little while before tossing it so they can't be tracked. They don't have a permanent residence (other than Amun and his hidden temple, I guess), but might "play house" from time to time in a victim's place for the novelty of it, take a shower, figure out how the TV works, before going back to the wilderness once their victim's disappearance is noticed. It seems really lonely and boring, and a waste of their incredible intelligence. Better if you have a mate, I guess, but even then. I think the James/Victoria lifestyle (other than hunting other vampires for funsies like James liked to do) is probably closer to the average vampire experience than the Cullens'.

But then again, in MS James knows how to fly a plane apparently. Or did he just like . . . figure it out as he went since it wouldn't matter if he crashed?

As bummed as I was at the time of reading it, I'm actually glad that "Blue Moon" had kind of a "cliffhanger" ending. Now, I and everyone else who reads it can project whatever happy ending we want on to it. For example, Carlisle talks Bella into naming their kid something unique but not overwhelmingly stupid and they fall in love. Rosalie and Emmett manage to overcome their issues and eventually join Carlisle and Bella in Volterra because "we're a family, goddammit and we should be together!" The birth goes as well as can be expected and Bella doesn't leave the planet after turning. She, with help from her family, becomes a pretty good mom and Carlisle is an amazing dad. Alice and Jasper keep in contact at a distance because of the Volturi and go searching for other hybrids. Aro becomes the baby's weird uncle and tells the kid all of his weird, interesting stories. At Aro's insistence, Bella develops her power and lowers her shield for him temporarily, causing him to go searching for the nearest vampire therapist. Emmett, I imagine becomes friends with Felix and Demetri while Rosalie gets along with Renata surprisingly well. They both adore the kid and since this is a world where Rosalie works on her issues, she doesn't get weird and project onto the baby. Bella and Carlisle get to have (probably?) good sex with someone they actually love and have commitment ceremony instead of a traditional wedding that's just them and the coven with Aro officiating. Alice and Jasper bring back Nahuel and everyone is relieved to know that the weird alien baby that they love should be alright. Nahuel's sisters get saved, probably by a delegation of Felix and a few of the scary-looking guards intimidating Joham into letting them leave if they want and they go live with him and Huilen and don't get pimped out by their father. And since "Breaking Dawn" doesn't happen, Demetri hears about Benjamin and Tia from Carlisle and immediately heads down to Egypt to tell them that Chelsea didn't make him leave and that while Benjamin has an interesting power, he's not someone Aro is desperate to have. This leads to a TLTIC situation where Tia and Benjamin decide to leave with Demetri and he brings them back to Volterra. Tia befriends Heidi, Benjamin becomes the baby's cool cousin, and Demetri becomes a very confused but protective big brother to them both. The twins are disappointed that the baby's not a squid but enjoy spending time with it regardless. Edward probably goes full Edward and gets executed by Caius but everyone knew it was bound to happen so they just get closer instead of falling apart. Esme just goes to the Denali and ends up becoming their MomBot, which is probably the happiest ending she's going to get. Alice and Jasper break up but it's on good terms and they're still part of the family. Jasper leans on Carlisle the most to maintain the diet and Carlisle, in turn, becomes closer to Jasper as a brother than as a "father." Bella finally talks to both Rosalie and Jasper without Edward interfering and realizes that they both like her just fine and develops a good friendship with them both. Alice's visions are stunted so she's kind of forced to be an actual person and see her family as actual people. She ends up with mixed results but everyone appreciates that she's trying. Her friendship with Bella, especially, isn't the same but that's not a bad thing for either of them. I imagine she'd get along pretty well with Corin. Emmett changes the least but he does start defending Rosalie more (something that's actually in the story) and he decides to take his job as "fun uncle" very seriously. Obviously they can't do the high school thing even after the observation period is done but they have each other, a support system in Volterra if they need it, they can wear whatever clothes they want, and they all live decently ever after. Anyway, it's a really sweet story with potential for a happy ending that you don't usually give the characters and I really liked it.

Domestic Life with Felix - Romantic Evening

You were such a dreamy little thing; Felix was so grateful to have you in his eternal life. It was a nice change in his life, ever since you had taken his bloody hands in yours, kissing the knuckles of your true and loyal knight. He couldn’t have wished for a more loving mate, and he was now looking forward to every moment spent with you. Like now, after a day full of duties and hard work.

You had spent a good part of the day reading in the library, and the rest of the afternoon knitting your latest project while keeping Heidi company. Felix had promised to join you before you went for dinner. And as he promised, right before you were starting to get hungry Felix entered your shared quarters. You welcomed him like usual, with an adoring look in your eyes and a bright smile. Your Felix was back home in your arms!

You gave him a warm hug, and you felt him hide his face in the crook of your neck, gently kissing it. The two of you stayed like that for a little while, you knew he needed this peace and quiet after a long day at work, being one of the most important Volturi guard was not an easy task.

Once he broke the hug, your Felix led you to the kitchen installed in your temporary human quarters so that he could prepare dinner for you. You had stated many times that you could prepare your own food, but you had learnt to know that he loved the domestic aspect of it, so you quickly gave up, instead enjoying cooking with him. The fact that he was also a better cook than you achieved to convince you.

Now it was something he was looking forward to, to see your face light up as you would eat your favorite food that he prepared with love just for you.

Tonight was no exception, Felix lifted you and sat you on the counter, preparing your dinner, chatting and laughing, stealing kisses from your lips from time to time, and letting you taste whatever you expressed the want to.

Once dinner was ready, he set up the table, served you and sat with you. The first time he did, you thought it would be awkward to be the only one eating, but dinner time quickly revealed itself as a nice bonding moment for the two of you, to exchange about different subjects, and tonight was no exception.

Once you were done, Felix did the dishes, while you changed into your sleepwear, also brushing your teeth, to keep at bay the temptation of ice cream, that much sugar before going to bed was never doing you any good.

Tonight, you wanted to see Labyrinth again, and since Felix didn’t mind David Bowie and liked to see you happy, he obliged.

When you got back to the living room, the movie was ready to start and Felix handed you your favorite blanket, before snuggling with you and holding you tight. It was his favorite thing, he once told you, to hold you in his arms. It made him feel like your knight in shiny armor, keeping you safe, and you couldn’t agree more.

The movie started, and you enjoyed humming along the songs, until the scene of Sarah’s dream came onto the screen. Felix stood, and as As the world falls down started, he pulled you in his embrace, waltzing with you, enjoying your delighted laughter.

Once Sarah woke up,, the two of you resumed snuggling. When the movie ended, you couldn’t repress a yawn, and Felix carried you to your bed.

Settling under the covers, you nestled in his arms once again, and fell asleep easily, your soulmate being strong enough to ware off any nightmare.     

“Sweet dreams, Tesoro” he whispered softly in your ear as you fell asleep.

Demetri Character Analysis - Part 1

Demetri New Moon - Duality of Diplomacy and Violence

Demetri first appears in the alleyway, instructed by Aro to bring two potential law-breakers back to him. Even in this tense and dangerous scenario with violence looming over everyone, Bella’s first impression of Demetri is his ‘soothing’ tone. This is no doubt a tactic to control the situation and discourage any rashness on Edward’s part. 

"Felix merely meant to point out the proximity of the sun," the other shadow said in a soothing tone. 

Even when Edward is refusing his request, Demetri continues to play the role of a ‘polite’ shadow who resembles ‘reasonableness’. Indeed, his request does seem reasonable - they 'merely' and ‘simply’ want to ‘speak’ somewhere less conspicuous.

But simple requests should have simple consequences - you don’t kill someone for refusing to comply. Him masking the underlying threat under the pretense of reasonableness when bringing someone back for trial is manipulative and calculating.

The second, more reasonable shadow cautioned. "Not here." He turned to Edward. "Aro would simply like to speak with you again, if you have decided not to force our hand after all."

It also shows that he is not someone that relies entirely on his vampire strengths and animalistics instincts (very common for vampires), and instead understands the politics of the hunt. 

A readiness to kill: 

What impresses me the most is how quickly he is able to shift from politely negotiating, to being ready to literally kill Edward and Bella, and then immediately return to his polite demeanor once Alice points out the human witnesses. He is able to evaluate the most suitable course of action in a split second, and adjust accordingly. This is not a simple task, as many hunters need to actively get into the mindset to kill.

I imagine this is a requirement for his job, where he is often the first point of contact with the accused, and would be forced to make a split second decision to either give them a chance to attend trial, or take swift actions to eliminate them if necessary.

‘No doubt, he would be a fighter. There was no other way he could have survived so long, always at the spear point of any attack. And he must always lead, because he was their tracker. (Breaking Dawn).

Therefore, Demetri is either someone who is able to calmly negotiate even when he is ready to kill, or someone who is able to quickly shift into a killing mindset. Either is equally impressive and dangerous.

Cruel Detachment:

“Nice fishing” (In reference to Heidi bringing back the group of tourists for the Volturi to feast on). 

It is one thing to completely disregard humans, it is another to joke about the mass-killing of them. I am not a vegetarian myself, but if I were to go to a farm and meet the cows that will to be sent to the slaughter house for the BBQ I’m throwing, I would not feel comfortable joking about it. 

To me, this is Meyer’s way of emphasizing the cruelty of the Volturi vampires, and using Demetri, who was the voice of reason, to make this comment really reinforces the point that even the most polite of them exhibits a callous detachment. It draws an interesting parallel to Alec’s interaction, where we are once again presented with a stark contrast between a vampire’s outward civility, and their inner detachment. It somehow drives the point more so than using someone like Jane and Caius.

Casanova of life?

Charlie Bewley, the actor portraying Demetri, once described the character as a “casanova of life.” However, there is nothing in canon that indicates this. In fact, I believe his proximity with Felix, who appears to be the actual casanova, would make this more difficult.

I imagine his tracking ability and Felix’s combat capabilities make them the perfect duo (find and eliminate), so the two would often work together. The persona Felix takes on is a flirty and impulsive muscle, and he often times might have to engage in conducts to reinforce this brute image (more on Felix in a later post). Therefore, Demetri would need to play the role of a mature, cautious leader, as seen in New Moon. This includes laying low and cleaning up Felix’s mess - to also participate in a promiscuous lifestyle would draw too much attention. I do think Demetri needs to be charming and sophisticated for his job, which might give the illusion of him being a ‘casanova’, but he's got too much responsibility to actually indulge in this lifestyle.

However, this is mostly my take on the limited information presented in canon. I would not be entirely surprised if he does turn out to be more promiscuous. It just means he is able to balance work with pleasure better than I give him credit for.

Omggg imagine the mate pull being so strong between Demetri and his mate that she has been having dreams about him and sort of unconsciously finds her way in Volterra and goes up to Heidi (who is out looking for humans to join the “tour”) and she’s like, “Do you know where I can find Demetri Volturi?” And Heidi is like “???” Because this little human somehow knows who a Volturi guard is and desperately wants to see him?? If Dem had the ability to cry, he would be sobbing when Heidi brings his sweet mate to him🥹

It has potential for an one shot
