Tattooing the removed skin to keep is so fucking cool. Holy shit. That's incredible. Would you have to tan that? Would the ink need to go in while fresh and before it's dry? I know taxidermying humans has always been a problem but would doing just a piece of skin have that problem?

hey so i have a question for jumblr/hebrew speakers if y’all don’t mind! i saw a guy with a tattoo that said ישרע. do you know the meaning of it? (he also had a cross tattoo so idk if it’s a christian term that might be unfamiliar) it had dots and dashes on it too like biblical hebrew but i can’t see an option for those on the keyboard + i can’t remember what they were

This is probably the most effort I've put into designing a character and I'm not even done with his outfit :')

The scarf might change designs and colours depending on how his outfit goes, I might also add some extra stuff to it.

Alexander is going to be one of the few side characters that don't have a blessing! He might not have a blessing, but he can still defend himself :)

His specialty is swords and knives (Also throwing weapons).

ok dilemma

i'm getting a tattoo tomorrow and asked a rabbi for help with hebrew (i told him what it was for and he agreed to help, i know tattoos. a whole ass thing but), but he gave me kind of half-assed help including misspelling my Hebrew name (? I think? I asked for clarification but like i'm pretty sure i know what we put down on my conversion paperwork?) and sending me to wikipedia to find verb conjugations

but my tattoo appointment is tomorrow

so do i:

1. make a guess at how to construct what i want to say using his advice

2. wait to get the text tattooed until i figure out someone else i can ask and/or get better at Hebrew myself? (there's also a visual component of the tat i'm not like wasting an appt)

overall i'm leaning towards be cautious and wait, but there's a line in the preface of @dduane's So You Want to Be A Wizard--a quote from a Midrashim by Howard Schwartz, which makes it doubly relevant--"By necessity every book must have at least one flaw; a misprint, a missing page, one imperfection..." which makes me. Less worried about inking an error onto my skin. Heck, even the verse of the Tanakh I'm modifying uses a nonstandard spelling for emphasis.
