Happy International Women's Day! Today, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and achievements of women all over the world. As a Black neurodistinct woman, shaman and mystic, I understand the unique challenges that we face every day. But I also know that we have the power to overcome those challenges and achieve greatness. I want to take a moment to thank the women in my life who have supported me, cared for me, inspired me, and loved me. Without you, I wouldn't be where I am today. You have shown me that there are no limits to what we can achieve when we support and lift each other up. As a mother, full-time analyst and entrepreneur, I am proud to be a part of a community of women who are breaking barriers and making a difference in the world. Unlock the memories Clear the obstacles Release the debris I am unmasking with grace 🕊 The energy of the moment has guided me to face deep wounds of financial trauma in my life. This goes back to my childhood, my parents & generations back. I experienced situations & picked up other people's beliefs that taught me I was lacking and I did not have enough. I carried on the narrative that I had to work hard for everything I have. I questioned if I was good enough. I started working at age 14 because I thought I thought I had to work hard to get things I wanted as a child. I replayed this story in my life for many years. These experiences & accumulation of data without expressing & releasing caused me to store this energy in a locked vault 🙆🏾‍♀️🙅🏾‍♀️ After my spiritual awakening, my perception of work started to shift. I began releasing the old thoughts, habits, beliefs & values that limited my growth. My belief system as a child led to me to forge my own obstacles. Fast forward to the present moment where I am experiencing some situations now that have unlocked my vault. There is anger, blame and sorrow in my body as I revisit these memories pinned up and stored deeply in my body 🤯😵‍💫 I use my breath to go to the root of these memories and expose them with grace and love. I sit in the memories and I allow my body to feel all of the anger, blame and sorrow that I ignored, abandoned and ran away from. I breathe, I embrace. I release. Deep exhale. I give thanks to my body for her ability to reflect, release and rest. My body is beautiful and perfectly designed for me. World Mental Health Day is an international day for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma. Mental health awareness is a part of my daily practice. I am a neurodistinct Black woman learning to unmask and be my authentic self, deprogram everything that is not for my highest good and embrace all aspects of me through radical acceptance and radical honesty. I am grateful for my expanding access to the right people, resources and tools to help me expand my awareness, wellness, knowledge and manage my daily experiences with autism and ADHD. May I continue to have the courage, confidence and compassion to express myself and help others in their journeys. 🧩✨ From the World Health Organization (WHO): Stigma and discrimination continue to be a barrier to social inclusion and access to the right care; importantly, we can all play our part in increasing awareness about which preventive mental health interventions work and World Mental Health Day is an opportunity to do that collectively. We envision a world in which mental health is valued, promoted and protected; where everyone has an equal opportunity to enjoy mental health and to exercise their human rights; and where everyone can access the mental health care they need.
