Healing work is war

#Healing work is war. You can't rest or you don't win. One lifetime isn't enough to win the whole war but it's enough to have a better quality of life while on earth. I understand now how some people look forward to #heaven... when they won't have to battle their issues anymore, but instead, can rest in a perfect #existence.

When I was offered this free water, this life giving water, I thought everyone wanted to drink deeply, to be healed. To be set free. I was offered this water that soothed my soul. That same water that was offered to this woman that was met in the middle of a day by a Man that had no right, no business to be talking to her. She was the wrong culture and the wrong sex, but, there she was, minding her own business, used to being ignored by life, used to ignoring herself, and being talked to by this Man. He saw her coming, He saw her thirst. He saw her need, and offered her something. She did not know that there was anyone with bold audacity to actually follow through on an offer so great. God offered her the opportunity to heal. Can you imagine that healing was her choice? He offered her water, like real water, so that she would no longer go to the physical for a cathartic experience but could now allow the One who saw her to cauterize her. She had a choice. All of us do. Most just don’t want to be healed. They would rather wear the bleeding parts of them like a suit of armor. Jesus asked another man by a pool of water - do you want to be healed? He could have said no, but chose yes. What was the ratio of spectators to those that were actually healed next to Jesus I wonder? Here He is, God, in the flesh, they, standing so close, standing in His presence, with fulness of opportunity right in front of them, and still the question loomed, do-i-even-want-to-be-healed?Do-I-even-want-to-be-seen? What will people think of me if I live past my condition? What will they say when I tell them that He saw me and I made the choice to heal towards Him? Will they get it? Will they understand? Will they even care? Should they? Care that is. Will I boldly and audaciously speak up and tell them the truth? What happens when I heal and I look up and there is no one standing there with me? What then? What if the promise of the cross becomes my only heart’s desire fulfilled in the end? Truth is, there are no guarantees in healing, only choices to continue or stop. There are no guarantees of time frames, consistencies, modalities, only your desire to heal, and should you choose, know that the cost is daily. Know that the cost is everything. there. are. no. guarantees.

The Blame Game

The only reason that we play the blame game is because we’re too afraid to let go of the things which bring us the most pain.

Choose to let go, choose to heal.

If we hold the pain, the pain turns into baggage, the baggage turns into burdens, the burdens turn into grief, the grief turns into destruction. We destroy ourselves from within by holding onto things, situations, people, memories, relationships, experiences....that we shouldn’t hold onto.

There’s a healthy and productive way to deal with the problems and pressures of our lives, but one thing I’ve learned, personally, is the longer it takes me to get over something and completely let it go, the longer it takes me to heal, the worse my life is because of it.

When I hold onto the pain of the things that have hurt me, it ruins me. I suffer. I grow bitter. I resent, I hate, I grow weary. It festers into a darkness within me, which causes me to be the lesser of myself. It’s no one’s fault. Every minute of my life has led up to the result of all of my previous choices.

Sure, outwardly sources do play a part and have a certain level of influence over our choices, but when it’s all said and done, we do what we do because that’s what we choose to do. Our sense of self and free will allows us to make decisions for ourselves and decide what we want to do in any situation.

Even those situations that seem out of control, beyond our control, when what someone else is doing is adversely affecting us and we feel like we have no control over what they’re doing, but we do still have control over how we react/respond to what is happening.

So, basically, we do always maintain some sense of control in life. We can’t control other people or what they do, we can’t control the world around us, and we can’t control the problems that may arise, but we can control how we deal and cope with anything. We can choose to heal, or we can choose to blame.

I’ve learned, it’s much better to choose healing. The blame game never really ends. But when healing transforms your spirit, it’s a new beginning. There’s nothing quite as beautiful.

It matters who you have IN your life and what you have IN your life. People will go on food diets, restrictions to "better" their bodies, and proportion their intake to death. We will read the self-help and care books, create to-do and to-be lists from wordsmith systems. We will study others, pick and prod against the not enough beliefs built from a tribe that keeps you in doubt. We will buy fancy outfits, lease cars, and toss money at things to keep ourselves at surface. None of that shit matters. Not the external forces that attempt to cure or fix you. It will keep you reaching for anything and everyone outside of yourself. Most people remain vacant because we are taught to idolize a system to remain empty, in turn, we are so focused at getting pissed off at the other, opinion-tossing our faces off; only to excuse responsibility unto the self. That thing we crave is the kind of love that can only come from the self. It is ruthless love and awareness. It is the kind of love that takes responsibility to be unshakable and willing to go inside of yourself. It matters WHO is in your life that magnifies such greatness. Some people are meant to stay and encourage, some people are meant to teach you to move on. You will never be nurtured by someone who isn't nurturing to themselves. Your relationships matter more than the food you eat, more than the clothes on your back, more than tips/tricks to burn your this/that. Emotional health is wealth. We are so plugged into a system that ridicules feelings, dismisses them, and hides them. It matters to sit with yourself to understand yourself. Don't hide your hurt but certainly don't sit so long you look back on decades of ache, holding on to shitty relationships. This truth is hard, yes. Nothing comes easy when we are meant to evolve. We are meant to move into the light. Darkness is the gift of compassion, nurturing the self, awareness, intuition, and giving us our greatest love to the Self.
