as a card-carrying member of the "started playing for astarion, inadvertently fell for gale" club it's really important to me that you all know that the appeal is NOT that gale is suave or cool. in fact it is literally the opposite. the worse he is at flirting the better. as he grows increasingly verbose i grow increasingly horny. every time he makes an awful pun my heart flutters. he talks about his ex while we're actively on a date and i'm like wow! i can't not fuck him

Fellas, is it gay to love the concept/trope of a supernatural hunger for something morally grey or wrong?

The inner conflict of wanting to get rid of the pain, feeling like you're starving, but knowing that to do so you have to cross every line you swore never to cross. Having to push loved ones away for the sake of their safety when all you want is to hold them. Picking between self destruction and survival, right and wrong, when every action is some shade of grey. Being called a monster when the people who trusted you find out who you are, what you have done, and not protesting in response because they're right, aren't they?

And as if 3 durges weren't enough, I just created a Tav. Who is a lil guy with one of the most fucked up origins ever. Also Myrkul is kind of his stepdad???

And he is also dead. My new lil guy, not Myrkul (tho Myrkul too).

Anyway, his name is Mort (Mortimer) and he was stillborn of a very powerful wizard lady who JUST lost her husband to a freak magic incident before.

She kind of pulled Ketheric+Mayrina and refused to accept what her baby is dead.

She turned into a lil over the top Myrkul worshipper who called herself "A bride of Myrkul" and brought her baby back by unnatural means.

Which makes Mort both immortal and...uh. Dead. He is like Isobel but more fucked up. And have been this way for all of his (un)life.
