And as if 3 durges weren't enough, I just created a Tav. Who is a lil guy with one of the most fucked up origins ever. Also Myrkul is kind of his stepdad???
And he is also dead. My new lil guy, not Myrkul (tho Myrkul too).
Anyway, his name is Mort (Mortimer) and he was stillborn of a very powerful wizard lady who JUST lost her husband to a freak magic incident before.
She kind of pulled Ketheric+Mayrina and refused to accept what her baby is dead.
She turned into a lil over the top Myrkul worshipper who called herself "A bride of Myrkul" and brought her baby back by unnatural means.
Which makes Mort both immortal and...uh. Dead. He is like Isobel but more fucked up. And have been this way for all of his (un)life.
#bg3#bg3 spoilers#tav: mort#avery.txt#baldurs gate 3#gale: i have to consume magic or this powerful magical artifact will blow up#mort: cool. i need to practice and obsorb necromancy or I'll start to rot :) Literally. i am 100% made of dead magic#gale: ....wtf how are you alive#mort: oh! I'm not. i was born dead. a real fun story actually#in this au mort was the og chosen of myrkul but he was killed prior the events of the game and had to...pull himself back together.#it took time#also in this au durge does not exist (was killed by orin long time ago) and so mort and gortash were og schemers of the absolute plan#mort also knew gortash since karlach was still around and knew her too. they were good friend#and then one day he came over and gortash was like: i sold karlach#mort: dude you did THAT???#enver: sold her. to zariel ;)#mort: you sick fuck#they have childhood friends vibes even tho mort is over 100 years old bc duh. necromancy#ne doesn't age he kind of.#pushes his body to grow with dark magic#wicked thing

mad woman — ethan landry (part five)
words: 1,769
pairing: ethan landry x gf!fem!reader
based on: mad woman by taylor swift
author’s note: only one more part left ! and the epilogue (if i decide to give y/n and ethan a happy ending).
previous part ; next part
Y/N AND ETHAN WOKE UP AT THE SOUND OF THEIR PHONES RINGING. The girl groaned in annoyance as she reached for the device laying on the drawer. Ethan mumbled something under his breath before grabbing Y/N by the waist to push her against his bare chest again.
The girl laughed kissing his cheek “Eth, it might be important” she whispered. He sighed, letting her go. She took her phone and read the texts that were sent to the group as Ethan pressed short kisses on her neck.
mindy

mindy

“Why didn’t you get rid of Mindy instead of Anika?” Y/N groaned as they made their way to the shower. “I actually really liked Anika. And my patience with Mindy is running out. I swear next time she says something mean to you I-“
He cut her off with a kiss “God, I love it when you get protective” he pressed against the wall of the shower.
“The shower is for showering, babe” she pulled away.
“Can’t help it” he said kissing her neck and shoulders. Y/N smirked as she turned on the cold water, Ethan quickly stepped back.
“Y/N! What was that for?” he glared at her.
“You are in desperate need of a cold shower” she laughed “Come on, we need to hurry. Your dad said it was important for us to be there”.
Ethan sighed in defeat “Fine”.
“I promise that once this is over, I’ll let you do whatever you want to me” she gave him a peck.
“Anything?” he smirked.
“Anything” she confirmed.
QUINN ATTACKED GALE AT HER HOUSE, ALMOST BEING SUCCESSFUL IN KILLING HER. Right now, the whole group, minus officer Bailey and Kirby, were at the hospital lounge, waiting for any news on the reporter’s health.
Y/N and Ethan were internally fuming. How many fucking lives did Gale Weathers have? It was ridiculous. Though, they really enjoyed seeing Sam’s guiltiness eat her alive.
"What do we do know?" Y/N asked, sitting on Ethan’s lap. He tightened his grip on the girl's frame as she drew invisible circles on his chest.
"Maybe he gets to win this time" Sam said, her voice was a bit shaky. They all looked at her as if she was crazy. "He wants to punish me. Me. So maybe I'll let him. I'll just give myself up. If this is what I have to do, to keep you safe, it's worth it".
"First of all, you are fucking insane if you think we'll let you do that" Y/N told her, no hesitation in her voice.
Tara stood up. "Y/N/N is right. You always protect us, now it's time we protect you. We are a team, remember?".
"We are family" Y/N corrected, standing up and walking towards Sam.
"You can say it, Chad" Mindy said, standing up too.
Chad got into his feet and with a excited smile he said. "Let's go! Core five!".
"Core what?" asked Danny.
"It's an us think" Chad explained briefly.
"He's gonna keep coming after us" Sam warned them.
"Isn't there somewhere safe we can hold up in?" Ethan asked.
"He's just going to keep finding us" Tara told him, making him sigh. "We could use that, though”.
THE FINAL ACT WAS ABOUT TO BEGIN. The group planned on luring Ghostface into a secure location and trap him inside. The final reveal was getting close, and Y/N’s heart beat with excitement. She couldn’t wait to see the life draining from Tara’s eyes. And then, she would continue her life with the love of her life.
"Is this even a good plan?" Ethan asked, his hand gripping Y/N’s tightly, as they walked down the stairs to take the train.
"You don't have to come if you don't want to" Tara replied.
"So we just peel off so the killer takes us off one by one? No, thank you" the curly-haired boy said, making his girlfriend look at him with her eyebrows raised. "And I don't want to leave Y/N alone, of course".
The girl laughed. "You really don't have to come, you know? We are not going to blame you for not going".
Ethan sighed. "No. Like I said, I won’t leave you alone".
“Yeah, very romantic, lovebirds. Can you move now? We are going to miss the train” Mindy said annoyed from behind them.
They walked through the current of people, pushing and shoving to try to get into the train. Just as they were about to enter it, the doors closed right in front of their faces.
"The next one should be here any minute. We won't be that far behind" said Y/N to Ethan and Mindy.
"Well, what are you waiting for? Go away" Mindy said to the boy.
"What do you mean?" the girl asked her confused.
"I don't trust your boyfriend".
Y/N rolled her eyes. "Mindy, not right now. Leave your stupid accusations aside, we need to stick together".
"Fine, you can stay with him. I'll wait a couple of feet away" she replied stubbornly.
"Mindy, come on" she said tiredly, but her friend didn't listen. She turned to face the tall boy. "Can I be the one who gets rid of her?".
Ethan tried not to laugh “I’m sorry but we have to take advantage of her stubbornness. Text Quinn, it’ll be less suspicious if you do it”.
“How disappointing” she scoffed, pulling her phone out.
hey quinn. we are about to take the train. we missed the first, so we are taking the next one.
mindy distanced herself from us cause she doesn’t trust your brother.
it’ll be a great opportunity to get rid of her
(i’m so jealous you get to do it btw).
quinn
roger that:)
aw i’m sorry, i promise i’ll be extra brutal for you :)
stop flirting with me!
quinn
no can do ;)
“Hey, what the fuck?” Ethan whispered, reading the conversation over her shoulder.
Y/N laughed “Don’t worry, pretty boy. My heart is only yours”.
“That’s right. You are mine” he said, gripping her hips.
“You are so hot when you get territorial” she said pressing a kiss on his jaw.
When they boarded the train, Mindy walked towards the end of the wagon, away from them but at a reasonable distance so she could keep an eye on Ethan.
“This is perfect” Y/N whispered, looking around. The train was crowded with people dressed as famous killers—Jason, Michael Myers, Ghostface, Pennywise.
"What’s your favorite scary movie, darling?” the boy joked. He was towering over her, and her back was pressed against a metal tube.
Y/N rolled her eyes "Shut up, idiot. I was never a fan of those types of movies”
“Maybe that could be one of our dates, watching scary movies”
“I’ll do anything as long as it’s with you” she smiled sweetly. He got closer to her, now they were chest against chest, and kissed her cheeks multiple times.
“Gross” said a familiar voice from next to them. Just after that, the light went out.
“That’s your cue, Quinnie” Y/N told her.
“Don’t call me that” she grumbled before starting to get closer and closer to Mindy.
On the next stop, when a big number of people stepped out of the train, the couple turned around to see Mindy sitting on the floor, hands pressed to her stomach and blood staining her shirt.
"No, fuck!" Y/N yelled faking concern as she ran towards her. She wanted to smile so badly at the sight of the girl in pain "You've got to be kidding me! I'm so sorry, Minds".
"Somebody help!" Ethan screamed, but no one moved one finger to do something. "Shit. We've got to get her out of here".
Y/N nodded. "Breath deep" she told her before pulling her to her feet. The girl let out a groan of pain as the couple lead her out of the train. "Thanks for nothing, assholes!".
"Somebody call 911!" Ethan yelled as they put the wounded girl on the floor of the station. "Are you okay?".
"Yeah, I'm so good" she said through her teeth.
"You're going to be okay" Ethan told her.
"Goddam it! I got it wrong again!" she cried. The paramedics arrived and started to check on the wounded girl.
"Is she going to be okay?" Y/N asked them.
"Yes, your friend will be fine, don't worry. We are going to give her painkillers, while we drive her to the hospital" they informed her.
“Minds, they need all the help they can get. I hate to leave you alone, but…” Y/N started.
Mindy nodded in understanding “You have to help them, it’s okay. Go”.
“If you need anything, call me okay?” Y/N told her.
“I’ll be fine, really. Just… be careful with him, okay? I know he’s your boyfriend and you like him, but never trust the love interest”.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be okay” she assured her before the paramedics took her away. “Heard that? I should be careful with you” she turned around with a smirk to face her boyfriend. “Are you gonna hurt me?”.
Ethan laughed “Depends, are you into those types of kink?”.
“You really should’ve taken that cold shower” Y/N said rolling her eyes, but smiling nonetheless. “Now, let’s go. It’s time for the big finale, baby!”.

Hello !
Oh damn, thank you for the explanation. Of course you explain it properly and in such details ! And it make sense Lucifer's pride is taking a big place because he is the embodiment of Pride, in a way. Even with his daughter its something hard to put away. I have a good foundation for the fundamental of their fight now great !
_
Extra answers :
Oh yes ! I figured that Alastor won't be like this with Constantine at all ! Except if he want to be burn alive. Especially that Constantine could actually just use his royal authority on him and Alastor would be kneeling very fast !
I like the Last Of Us 2 ref. I just like that we are talking in ref ahah. I understand that it would be a long road of forgiveness between them.
Ps : in a way, In that pride "manner of doing things" i think Lucifer look like Constantine in that. The proud royals who wouldn't take shit from anyone because they are THEM and the others are nothing. Even if it would actually benefit them to be more kind. But its Hell so, no ahah.
But thanks to showing me your vision of how things happen in your SS AU like that I can create something between your mind and mine.
_
Yes ! Don't want to spoil but its a huge thing. Constantine and Lolicia. (If my OC wouldn't be here i think i like RoyalFlush a lot, I mean who doesn't like a good Johnlock kind of romance) but let's say I like some sensuality too. (Probably this is why I'm the only one who likes Sherlock and Irene)
I mean do you imagine Constantine and Lolicia first meeting like Sherlock and Irene ? Lolicia (naked) Constantine (confused in a priest costume)
"- Our third guest is in the living room on the left, explains Charlie to her brother, you will not miss it, it has a ocean theme. - Right... murmur Constantine.
*Constantine walks to the blue living room, watch around and see nobody.*
- Charlie ? I don't see anyone !
*He sighed and sit on the sofa wondering why he actually left his Palace. That was a mistake. And then he heard footsteps approches.*
- Hello, say a velvety voice, apologies for being late. I was away for a long time, forgive me, what is your royal name ?
- I'd figured everybody would know my name but exceptions are part of the statistics. You can call me, like everybody else, C-...
*Constantine turns his head and see Lolicia stopping at the doorway. His voice fails him when he realizes that none of the hair or the tail or the light he quickly sees were covering the naked body. His jaw drops a little.*
- Oh, it's always hard to remember simple thing when you've had a shock.
*They enters the room stands directly in front of him, then Lolicia reaches out and removes the white priest collar from his shirt.*
- There you go now, they giggle softly, we are both defrocked... Crown Prince Constantine.
*Constantine look up to their eyes, in a normal state of mind again.*
- The Anglerfox, I presume. - Look at those cheekbones. I could cut myself slapping that face. Would you like me to try?
Lolicia smile and put the priest collar between her teeth. Constantine think WTF?!"
I mean yes, It would be funny because Lolicia would be a mess. She has a different way to see emotions too. And Constantine is.. . Well Constantine. Ahah. It was fun.
_
Yes, I agree, getting rid of Val, is a big thing.
Thank you for the storyboard info !
I'm so excited to write all this !
I like Husk and Lolicia too. It was cute the dance and natural to write.
Thank for liking the new outfit! Ah yes Baldur's Gate 3, what a beautiful game, *wipes my tear with Astarion* oh ! Is the moment when Gale says he is horny when we fight with so much energy ??
Yes! And I'm so glad I could help!
-
And again, I'm very happy to hear that you liked the concepts I mentioned. And I completely agree with your ideas
I can't wait to see the story in your mind!
-
OMG! I really can't wait to see it. I really like your writing and I'm very curious how you will handle such a romance!I'm sure you will write wonderfully.
And I'm glad you liked dynamic between Serenity and Constantine too!
And since I've never written anything romance-related for Constantine before, I seriously can't wait to see his dynamic with Lolicia! Sounds like they could have a seriously interesting relationship!
And if you ask my opinion, Irene and Sherlock are a very interesting duo too. After all, Irene Adler was the only woman who takes a place in Sherlock's mind, both in the books and in the TV series and movies.
The Women The only woman who can find a place in Sherlock's full and complex mind. The Women who can beat him time to times with her games
And I loved their interactions in the series, especially in the scene where Irene is in her last moments, she sends a message to Sherlock for the last time, but it was perfect that Sherlock comes and saves her at that moment.
And I really love Irene's attitude as a smart planner and a woman who stands on her own feet, and it is always a pleasure to watch/read the cat and mouse games she plays with Sherlock.
And LMAO yes I can imagine it and I really enjoyed reading the little script you wrote I should draw it sometime.
And Constantine was like:
He gives Lolicia a small glance, "I think my sister was very successful in getting the residents used to the hotel."
"You look very comfortable."
-
And I am very glad that you liked the storyboard. I am happy that I could help you and I wish you good writing in advance.
-And yes, BaldursGate3 is a seriously great game, I proudly spent 200 hours on it. And LMAO!
I think this is you, but the one in your hand is not the hamster, but the bat-shaped Astorion.
No, but that scene was very funny too!
As far as I remember, I think the name Harlep ı dont remember. When we kill him in House of Hope we get that armor. And after wearing that and talk to Gale he will make a comment about our New ✨ armor✨
-----
And now I read all the chapters you posted and they were all great. It was very sweet how Charlie got angry when the hotel guests came up with the topic of helping the hotel financially and O Love how Vaggie talk to her and relaxing her you write them so sweet ❤️❤️. in general I really love how you wrote the team's interactions.
And my god, seriously, Lolicia's duet with Alastor was great, the song and the dialogues of the characters. Your descriptions were perfect.I wish your songs were performed, I would really like to listen to them!
And I really love that the sentences or slang in Alastor's way of speaking belong to the 1920s.Very good for the character And very interesting to see the dynamics of Lolicia and Alastor. And I wonder how the offer of Alliance
will turn out Lolicia's death/dream scene was beautiful, I loved the descriptions and I'm so glad we got some ideas about Lolicia's human appearance! And I can't wait to see how the sentences you use in the descriptions will be detailed in the future. But I need to be patient to read Lolicia's past... 😔
And the popcorn ep where you explained the meaning of the song you wrote was also great. I think you are a really smart writer, all the details you put were great. It's incredible how carefully you calculate and think all these detail you are really good writer 🛐🛐
It was a lot of fun to read that the call that Charlie did to join in the competition. The competition worker's reaction when he found out that Charlie was a princess was also really funny. And I loved the dialogues there, Charlie trying to convince the team members!
Finally, I loved the way you introduced Constantine. The magic scene in the workshop was really beautiful 🤌🤌like perfect in every way it was so Cool too!🛐
and the sources you were inspired by while writing the scene were great. I didn't expect to see Elden ring from there That game has some seriously great art and magic design. And seriously, Constantine's reaction to the photo Charlie took in the previous episode. It was a nice detail!
Thanks again for loving him!
I am looking forward to the chapters you will write in the future!❤️❤️

Ah Grave, the man that you are
This guy just drank all the hag potions, turned insane, had to be knocked out, woke up, notice he can bite people now and his strength is permanently reduced to 7.
All in the span of 15 minutes.
They decide that was enough trouble for now, drag his ass back to camp, rest and Astarion decides he wants to show him what real biting looks like. And Grave let's him drink him up entirely. Of course, he dies. The party in the morning is like: "wtf how did you manage to get in trouble again while you sleep?" Gale revives him. Grave walks over to Astarion and tells him "let's not talk about it, but you can do it again."
Result, Now he is so weak he needs help opening a potion bottle. Karlach says it's fitting, at least it will prevent him from doing that again.
Cw: Grave and his fucked up psyche (self harm/ passive unaliving himself urges)
Grave switches from "I want to have all the fun I can get because it makes me feel alive and less like Bhaal's tool, bound to my urges" and "I am too far gone for saving, I hate what I am and i hate who it made me, maybe it would be better for everyone involved if I had a ... accident. At least when I am dead I can't kill people in my sleep."
(don't worry, he is bonding with the second most fucked up person around and they will ... maybe not fix it, but fuck nasty and figure it out along the way.)

This is a rant post that's spoilers for act 3
*
*
And stuff
Right so, the entire durge playthrough I decided that everyone was gonna be evil, like do all the choices that like EVIL evil, Shadowheart going to Shar, Wyll giving his soul away, Karlach died in act 1, Halsin is here which is funny, and Gale is gonna become a God....
And then ofc Astarion the vampire lord.
But!
Like, why would my evil POWERFUL durge give up and become a spawn? Like? That's pretty rude, just a spawn (Haha cuz he's a bhaalspawn) and not a true vampire?
And Astarion going "in due time" how the fuck no? Do it right away? Bastard wtf.
AND THEN RIGHT
I DID ALL THAT, WE GET TO HAVE A CONVO BOUT IT, AND I SAID "NO THANKS" AND THIS MOFO GOES "I THOUGHT WE HAD SOMETHING. GUESS I WAS WRONG."
LIKE HE BROKE UP WITH ME????
ME????
I'm so fucking offended like???
First of all, did he forget I'm THE LITERAL CHILD OF BHAAL??? I'm BEYOND more evil than him, my dude is like around 100 years old, he's probably gonna be alive forever anyways, and Astarion should KNOW this, but nOoOoOo🙄🙄🙄
I'm just so offended, I thought it would be good ending, for me ofc, but since I let him be a true vampire and I said no to being one he just????
OH AND HE EVEN FUCKING WENT
"I LOVE YOU. THATS WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR, RIGHT?"
WHY TF DID U HAVE TO SAY THAT? IS HE NOT ACTUALLY LOVING ME????? I LOVE THIS MAN A LOT (mixed feelings rn) AND???
SO AS A SANE PERSON, HES NOW GONNA GO BACK TO THE DROW TWINS AND FUCK.
THEN HES GONNA FUCK MIZORA CUZ HES APPARENTLY SINGLE NOW
🙄🙄🙄😤😤😤😤😤
Hopefully I have nothing to add later.
But you never know with that vampire bitch

roughly 650-700 hours in, and I just went through Gale's resurrection protocol for the very first time, on my tactician playthrough, and man....
...... it'll be incredibly difficult to make Mara's a Karlach romance.
not because I wouldn't actually want to romance her (GOD I wanna do it so bad), but my girl, she just.... has a mind of her own. and that mind, it's so, so very conflicted. and full of so many holes. her brain? not even like Swiss cheese, but moreso like some sort of weird fizzy drink, just... bubbling away in there.
everyone is so mean to her. even though she's trying so hard to be nice, everyone seems to either treat her like a curiosity ("oh, we rarely see your kind up here!") or spit the word "drow" as if it was a slur (even though she's only kind of aware of what that even really means), when trying to share her concerns most just dismiss her off the cuff, and Gale... god, Gale is just so icredibly NICE to her in comparison.
He explains everything so patiently. His approval of her is by far the highest, he says things like "excellent question! :D", even praises her, shares little personal anecdotes without prompting (it's not like he holds information behind a paywall of favors, or like you have to pull each and every word from between his teeth with pliers like some others), and even though he didn't understand why and/or grasp the magnitude of the compulsion, he seemed to kind of... at least understand that she's concerned???? instead of blowing her off completely and handwaving it away???? And, and, when he can't answer a question (because it's about a secret, or personal, or whatever), he doesn't get angry, or disapprove, or make her feel like she violated his privacy by simply asking, only says "sorry, can't tell you that right now, but in due time. :)".
he's just.... head in my fucking hands, of course she'd feel incredibly drawn to him from the first goddamn moment, he's like basically the first person who's been genuinely kind to- and understanding of her (even before the tadpole, tbqh), and all that without ulterior motives, or assuming that she's dangerous, stupid, or evil. (even if he probably should have assumed that, on that latter part.)
how and why do i keep making characters who all fall at least a little bit in love with Gale Fucking Dekarios of Waterdeep
(I swear to fucking god nobody dare answer that :c)
(side note, frankly I'm baffled on how many dialogue options there are that let you say shit that amounts more or less to “uuuughhh bringing you back to life was SUUUCH a chore. be glad i didn't sell your stupid scroll, dick”, but none where you can say something like “Gale!!!! Gods, are you alright!!!! You died!!!!!! You're back!!!!!! I was so worried for you!!!!!!!! Of course I brought you back, wtf!!!!!!!!”.
I'd also have liked one to just.... start crying, tbqh.
it would have made sense for Mara specifically, to go through the instructions and the protocols with as intense a panicked focus as she can manage [no easy task, with a thick blueberry shake for brains], and as he's thanking her, and tapping himself to reconfirm that he's corporeal, to just.... start bawling. and to crumple into his arms. Like, he's her friend!!!! her good friend Gale, whom she had known all of three days!!!!!!! he died!!!! and now he's alive!!!!! omg that was so scary; don't do that again you silly man!!!!!!)
(babygirl was so rattled, she even got the mephit's name wrong like twice. no it wasn't me being a dumbass, i was in character, shush.)
#squirrel plays bg3#oc: mara#poor girl had a rough time of it with the harpies#first time ever that Shadowheart was the mvp frankly#this party's ultimate weakness is a dc 13 wisdom roll i swear to god

When do you think Katniss and Peeta developing real romantic feeling toward each other?
Thank you so much 😊
@everlarkshipper
Hey @curiousnonny,
Here I am to not answer your question:
How bananas is it that…
Peeta says:
I've had a crush on her ever since I can remember. But I'm pretty sure she didn't know I was alive until the reaping.
And Katniss jumps to:
The roar of the crowd is deafening. Peeta has absolutely wiped the rest of us off the map with his declaration of love for me.
Those two things are not necessarily the same…
Also: WTF is this?
“She’s just worried about her boyfriend,” says Peeta gruffly, tossing away a bloody piece of the urn.
My cheeks burn again at the thought of Gale. “I don’t have a boyfriend.”
“Whatever,” says Peeta. “But I bet he’s smart enough to know a bluff when he sees it. Besides you didn’t say you loved me. So what does it matter?”
There are two ways to take this:
Haymitch has just suggested that it’s all about perception and that Katniss should play along. In which case Peeta could be referring to Katniss bluffing about her feelings towards him. I’d like to point out: Peeta is present for this discussion. He knows that Haymitch is directing Katniss to act in love with him. -> he interprets Katniss’s actions in the arena as affection despite this knowledge
OR
Peeta is implying his confession was a bluff. Notice: he says it before he notes that Katniss didn’t admit to loving him, so when he refers to the bluff, he’s talking about himself. -> in the arena Katniss insists that Peeta is acting because of this information
(This leads to a different discussion: Peeta’s actions being driven by feelings and Katniss’s actions being guided by predetermined logic… but I digress)
Either way: Talk about mixed signals…
I can see why Katniss and Peeta were both confused as to the others feelings… At this point they don’t really know each other (as Peeta points out at the beginning of the Victory Tour.)
The rift at the end of the first book was inevitable.
Bonus: check out The Awkward In-between by @wistfulweaverwoman (Lilymaid on AO3). It’s Canon- Divergent between the events of the first and second book and features Katniss addressing the source of their miscommunication.

WIP whenever
tagged by @mistressheroine and @galadrieljones (thank you both!!)
I've been tagged but haven't been able to do anything because I've been on vacay, but I'm finally back AND able to write again! And yes yes yes the next chapter of Small Miracles is coming VERY soon! :D
(also been trying to make this post for 2 days but tumblr kept giving me an error and then i realized it only happens when i indent the text ??? wtf)
Here's a snippet from chapter 21 of Small Miracles:
Along the way, Guillermo speaks in a hushed tone as he tells Beth, “I’ve been speaking with the scientists who researched Gale. They showed me his CT scans. He is… remarkable.”
“Milagro, indeed,” Yesenia agrees.
Beth frowns. “How so? Is he a variant, or…?”
“No, not exactly,” Guillermo says. “I—well, I can’t explain it properly. I am nothing close to a scientist, so I don’t understand what the things they found in his blood and spinal fluid mean, but I do understand that his brain is not like the other rippers.”
She thinks about the things Rick said—about Dr. Jenner and his research at the CDC. “Well, from what I was told, when someone reanimates, their whole brain dies except fer the brain stem. That’s why they only know the most basic instincts: sight, sound, smell, growling, walking, an’ eating.”
“Correct,” Yesenia says. “But Señor Gale’s brain stem is not the only part still alive.”
Beth has to stifle a gasp. She looks from Yesenia to Guillermo with wide eyes.
Mae gawks. “You’re joking.”
“I wouldn’t joke about this,” Guillermo insists. “Again, I’m no scientist, but from what they explained, it appears there are small parts of other areas in his brain that are still alive—such as the parts that enable speech, critical thinking, certain emotions, and short-term memory.”
“And still, other parts are not yet active, but they are not dead,” Yesenia contributes. “They are dormant, like a volcano. Waiting to be awakened by… something. Perhaps time, perhaps certain vitamins or minerals. Or perhaps they will never be awakened.”
“What other parts?” Beth asks without hesitation. “Like-like long-term memory? Or…?”
Yesenia shrugs. “They did not specify, but I would think it’s safe to assume that is one of many areas lying dormant.”
Guillermo sighs. “Please don’t take this as concrete evidence of anything, though. It’s all very speculative. They say they’ve never seen anything like it, but we must remember that they have extended very few resources studying the virus and the rippers. They’ve only ever worked with the knowledge Aldo left us.”
Beth is left speechless, walking along numbly as she tries to process this new information. Mae is struck completely silent, face gone pale.
“What I think is most interesting, as they told me,” Guillermo explains, “is that those parts of his brain lit up with more activity whenever he was fed fresh entrails.”
Elba chimes in, seemingly trying to process this baffling information for herself, “Like fuel in a car?”
“More like energy in a battery,” Guillermo says. “Like how we charge our solar panels with the sun. Or at least, that’s how they put it. It’s far more complicated, I’m sure, but they tried to simplify it in a way that we could understand.”
Beth finally finds her voice and manages to say, “I still don’t—I don’t think I really understand. I mean… he’s dead. He’s decomposing just like any other walker.”
“But he is not like any other muerto in existence,” Yesenia says. “Certainly not any that we have encountered.”
“So why’re you telling us this?” Mae asks.
Guillermo shrugs. “We just thought you’d like to know. Perhaps he’d like to know, as well. About just how special he is.” His voice grows gravely stern, “And more importantly, about how vital it is that he never falls into the wrong hands.”
“You must protect him,” Yesenia says in a hushed voice, leaning in closer. “Do not let the CRM get their hands on him. If you are attacked or taken into their custody, you must put him down at the first possible chance.”
“You should tell him,” Guillermo says. “Because if he truly cares about you and Mae, about all of the living left who are trying to rebuild the world outside of the CRM’s control, he could put himself down in a dire situation where you are unable to.”
“And if you can,” Yesenia adds, “we strongly recommend you burn the body.”
“But-but what if he’s…” Beth swallows hard, having never allowed herself to even consider such an idea, yet it’s all she can think now: “What if he’s the key to a cure? To a vaccine?”
“Ay dios mio, silencio, mija,” Yesenia snaps.
“Don’t say that—don’t even think it,” Guillermo says sharply. “He is not the key to any kind of cure. If anything, he could be used to create an entirely new weapon against all those who oppose the CRM.”
“Sí,” Yesenia agrees. Then she adds in a whisper, “We will be destroying all of Gale’s samples as soon as our scientists are finished with them, and the research will be locked away in a very secure vault. If we are ever infiltrated by the CRM, it will self-destruct. No one but only our must trusted will be allowed access to this information, kept to a vow of confidentiality that, if broken, is punishable by death.”
Beth’s blood runs cold and she nods, snapping her lips shut.
They’re right.
Gale is not the key to a cure. But he could be the key to an entirely new, entirely more dangerous weapon that would only be used against people like her, people like her family, people like the citizens of Nuevo Atlanta.
And that’s the scariest part.
She knows they’re right.

Heyya!
Another delightfull chapter! What a wonderfull day to stay alive in NYC...
Let me start with the apartment scene, because the other thing is just filling my head and if I don't start with it, I'll forget to write it down. Everything was darn good! Like I love protective and caring Gale. So so sooooo lovely! Ahhh. Even when Gf is on the other side of the door, she watches over R first. So so so sweet. The hide and seek part? You nailed it! Perfectly written!
Now for the second part. Sam is wayyyy outa' line! Like wtf?! She dares judge people because of their ancestry? She should be the one to protect her! How dare she?!?! She is the daugther of BILLY FUCKIN' LOOMIS for god's sake! What she does is ungratefull and uncalled for.
Loved the stabby-stabby parts! Loved the non-stabby-stabby parts. Loved everything. Love your writing. Keep it up!
Remember to DRINK between those writing hours!
Smooches!

scream masterlist part one part two part three
004. red right hand - nick cave & the bad seeds
‘you'll see him in your nightmares.’
‘What’s your favourite scary movie?’
Those words were written on the wall, a ghostface spray painted just above the chilling question in an old alleyway.
Everywhere you looked something screamed at you to run the other way. You walked alongside Tara and Sam, the younger of the two holding onto your hand, afraid that you would disappear in a blink of an eye.
“Jason and Greg were little Atlantan rich boys.” Gale explained as she walked ahead of everyone, guiding you all into the warehouse. “They used fake names to rent this place.”
“How did you find it?” Kirby questioned, jogging forward to walk beside Gale.
“It’s called investigative journalism for a reason, how didn’t you find it? Weren’t you tracking them?”
“I went through their financial records dozens of times and this was not in any of them.” Kirby huffed as she looked up at the warehouse. “It doesn't make sense.”
“Don’t worry,” Gale smiled feigning sympathy, “I’m just really good at my job, you’ll get there.”
Gale pulled a key card from her bag and opened the door to the warehouse, the rest of you following the woman inside. Gale also grabbed a flashlight, turning it on so she could guide the rest of the way.
“What is this place?” Sam asked as she walked in, looking around at the cobweb littered walls. “What’s with all the security?”
Gale switched on the lights allowing you to finally see what you had just walked into.
“It’s a movie theatre.” Tara stated as she looked around.
“It’s not just a theatre. It's a shrine.” Gale said, nodding to the memorabilia placed all around the theatre.
Your head snapped to the stage, watching as the curtains rose up to show nine mannequins with black cloaks, the ghostface masks missing.
Interested, you took a few cautious steps forward, each item was from the past ghostface’s and their victims.
“They’ve got the whole damn franchise.” Mindy spoke loudly as she walked around, taking in everything that she could.
“Chad.” Mindy gasped softly.
“Hmm?” The boy replied.
“This was uncle Randy’s.” Mindy said, looking at an old t-shirt. “They’ve got everything.”
“Is that-” Tara started, looking over at Kirby.
“The knife I was stabbed with.” Kirby finished, a sorrowful look on her face.
“You have all been through so much.” Bailey said, looking around the room.
“Who drew all these- woah wait.” Mindy said, cutting herself off as she looked intently at an old photo.
“What’s up?” Sam asked, looking over to the girl.
“There’s a child in this.”
Your head snapped up from looking at an old piece of memorabilia and at Mindy. There's only one child who that could be. You.
“What the hell?” Chad mumbled, walking over to his sister so he could have a look himself.
“Y/n? Is that- is that you?” Mindy questioned, looking backwards and forwards from the photo to you.
“I uh- I don’t know what you’re talking about.” You replied, turning your focus onto something else.
“This kid. It looks like you.” Mindy persisted.
You knew you would have to share your secret some time soon but you weren't ready for it to be this soon. You turned your head to Kirby who gave you a discrete nod then you looked at Gale, the older woman giving you a warm smile.
“Okay, I- yeah it’s me.” You said, suddenly finding the floor very interesting.
“What the hell.” Chad exclaimed, looking over to you. “Y/n-”
“Look- I- I’m sorry, okay! I just didn’t know how to tell you-” You said, trying to explain as you walked towards the two only for them to take a step back.
Taking the hint you stood in your place, in the middle of the theatre, with everybody watching you. You internally chuckled, this all seemed like some horrible play and you had no way out of it.
“That your sister was a Ghostface?!” Mindy said loudly, hands raised beside her.
“Half sister. Different dads.” You mumbled with a shrug.
“Y/n, why wouldn’t you tell us?” Tara questioned quietly, as if her voice was going to break if she spoke any louder. She was going to move towards you, only to be stopped by Sam.
“I tried to.” You said, heart breaking at all of your friends looking at you as if you were the killer. “I really did- you have to believe me.”
“Y/n-” Sam tried.
“Please.” You said, voice cracking as you tried not to cry.
Sam looked hesitant and so did Tara, although the two of them wanted to comfort you, they didn’t know whether to trust you.
“You don’t trust me, do you?” You stated, voice breaking as tears brimmed your eyes as you looked around at your friends.
“Y/n-”
“It's fine.” You sniffled, wiping away your tears. “It’s fine.”
You looked at everyone around you, feeling like the walls were caving in and you needed to escape, but you didn’t know where to go so you went up onto the stage.
Everyone watched you, moving out of your way as you passed them, as if you had something contagious.
Your heart cracked, you looked back at the people who you once called your friends before standing in front of the ghostface mannequins.
It suddenly felt as if you were under water, you could hear people talking but their voices were muffled. You could also feel eyes on the back of your head, as if it were a target.
You looked at the past ghostfaces, stopping in front of one that had left you in a trance but to you it was more of a nightmare.
Jill’s name was shown at the bottom of the costume, a shiver went down your spine at the memories of that night. You closed your eyes and took a deep breath, trying to not let your mind slip back to that time.
But it was no use.
You sat on the floor, hands and feet bound with duct tape, along with your mouth. Your eyes were red raw, tears flowing down your cheeks as you looked up to your older sister.
The person you used to look up to the most stabbed her accomplice. He doubled over in pain, bleeding from where Jill had stabbed him, right in the heart, a look of betrayal flickering over his expression.
“There’s been a change of plans.” Jill smiled manically. “The problem with you Charlie, it’s always been about killing Sidney Prescott. My plan is a little bigger. I’m going to become her.”
And with that, Jill stabbed him again. Charlie couldn’t believe what was happening as he stared at the woman, stunned and shocked. Before falling back and crumbling to the floor.
Jill looked down at him with a glimmer of diabolical glee. She gave his body a quick kick with her foot but his body didn't move. The realisation crossing your face, he's dead and your sister had killed him.
“How did you turn into this?” Sidney asked, looking between Jill and Charlie's now dead body, a glimpse of you being caught in the corner of her eye.
“Nothing is ever what it seems. Your words, Sidney. I've always been this. You know what it's like growing up related to you? All you hear is Sidney this, Sidney that, Sidney, Sidney...You were always so fucking special. Now it's my turn.”
You watched on in fear, Jill taking her knife and pointing it at Sidney, a sickening smile taking form on her face.
“And now you have to die. Those are the rules.”
“What rules?”
“There's only room for one lead. Let's face it, Sid, your ingenue days are over.”
Jill advanced on Sidney, stabbing her with the knife. The older woman gasped in pain leading Jill to stab her again. Sidney dropped to her knees, now losing a lot of blood but desperately trying to stay awake.
Then everything felt as if it moved in slow motion, Sidney’s body fell limp to the floor, you looked at her hopefully, begging for her to get up but she didn’t move.
You let out a scream, the duct tape against your mouth preventing you from being too loud but the sound still startled Jill.
Her head snapped towards you and it was as if her gaze softened but you knew that was too good to be true.
Jill made her way to you, kneeling in front of you. You tried to back away in fear but you couldn’t do anything due to the duct tape around your wrists and ankles.
“Oh, my sweet baby sister.” Jill said sweetly, holding a hand up to your cheek.
You flinched away, even more tears falling from your eyes as you whimpered at the sight of Jill. You looked into her eyes, trying to find the Jill who was once your sister, your best friend, but she was nowhere to be seen.
“I really wish I didn't have to do this.” Jill said sadly and you would’ve believed her if it wasn't for the sickening smile on her face.
You violently shook your head from side to side as you watched Jill edge her knife closer and closer to your side, just under your ribs. You squirmed, kicked, thrashed and screamed, begging Jill with your eyes not to do it.
But she didn't listen. Her knife went into your side and then everything went black.
“So somebody killed these chuckle fucks and took over?” Chad questioned, snapping you out of your haze.
You turned to see that everyone was now on the stage, each of them going backwards and forwards from eyeing you up to looking at a mannequin.
“Someone who believes that Sam masterminded woodsboro and perhaps Y/n now too.” Gale said.
“Wait what?” You questioned turning around to face the older woman, shocked at the statement but you cowered back as everyone's eyes turned to you.
“If this were a normal stab movie, this would be the killer's lair.” Mindy explained from where she stood, giving you a quick side eye.
“Which means this isn’t a normal stab movie.” Kirby added.
Tara breathed heavily, looking between you and her sister before storming off. You went to go after her but after a hard look from Sam you realised you weren’t wanted.
You gave a silent nod, tears forming back in your eyes as the back of your throat burned. You could feel your heart rate increasing, your hands going clammy as your breathing picked up. The theatre walls closing in on you. Not being able to breathe, you looked at everyone before you ran out on your own.
Finally getting to somewhere where you could calm down, you placed your hand against a wall and took in a deep breath. You were startled by the sound of your phone ringing and you already knew who it was.
Pulling your phone out of your pocket, you answered the call, squeezing your eyes shut, you prepared for their voice.
“Y/n, y/n, y/n.” Ghostface tutted. “Walking off on your own, very brave choice.”
“Yeah, well I like my chances.”
“I wouldn’t get so comfortable.”
“Okay… you’re boring me.” You huffed, taking your phone away from your ear and ending the call.
“Wait wha-”
You shook your head with a sigh, placing your phone back in your pocket before walking back to where everyone was. You saw Gale and Kirby making their way to Sam and Tara so you thought you’d tag along.
The older women both made sure you were okay and with a nod of your head, they knew that you were alright.
“I’m sorry.” You heard Sam whisper to Tara.
“Just drop it Sam.” The younger Carpenter said before walking away from her sister.
“Tara-”
“We’ve got her.” Kirby smiled, motioning to you beside her.
Sam gave you a look but you walked off with Kirby before she could do anything about it leaving her with Gale.
You found Tara sitting by herself, at the top of the theatre, looking down at the stage all caught in her thoughts.
She heard the two of you coming so you sent her a small smile but you didn’t make your way towards her, opting to stay by the door as Kirby sat beside her.
“How’d you get past what happened to you?” Tara questioned, picking at the skin around her fingers.
“I almost died after I was stabbed.” Kirby said. “Technically I did die. For four minutes. When I recovered I got mad. I didn't want to spend the rest of my life being afraid of monsters. I wanted the monsters to be afraid of me.”
“I like that.” Tara said, clearing her throat before she turned to you. “What about you y/n? You’ve been through this twice.”
“Oh I uh- I-” You struggled, not knowing if Tara actually cared or if she was feeling sympathetic. “I’m the same as Kirby, I almost died but I didn't want to let that determine the way I lived the rest of my life. I mean yeah, sure, it sucked and it took a hell of a lot of therapy to get over my sister stabbing me but I got there in the end.”
The three of you were snapped out of your little bubble when you heard the doors open, Bailey, Sam and Gale walking towards you three.
“Sorry to interrupt.” Bailey said, the two women walking behind him. “But I think I have an idea about how to turn the tables on this creep.”
“Yeah.” Gale agreed. “And we’re in.”
“Sorry Gale, no press allowed.” Kirby said, raising her hands to the side. “Police business. I’m good at my job too.”
“Ooh, she got you there.” You chuckled.
“Okay, so let's go.” Tara said, finding a new determination in her.
“About that,” you mumbled, scratching the back of your neck, “I’m going to stay with Gale, if that’s okay?”
“Of course.” Gale beamed.
“No, y/n. We need to keep an eye on you.” Sam said.
“Wha-”
“I can handle myself, Sam.” Gale said, placing a comforting hand on your shoulder.
“You text or call if anything happens.” Sam said firmly, giving you one last look before walking out with Tara, Bailey and Kirby hot on her tail.
“They’ll come around eventually.” Gale said softly, feeling your shoulders deflate.
“Yeah.” You sighed sadly, kicking the ground by your feet.
“C’mon, what do you want to do?”
“I’m not sure.”
“Take out back at mine?”
“Uh, yeah. That sounds like a good idea.”
The two of you made your way out of the theatre and into Gale’s car. The both of you sat in silence but it wasn't awkward, it was comforting. Your head rested on the car window, watching everything go by as you were stuck in your thoughts.
The journey to her apartment wasn’t long and before you knew it, you were riding the elevator up to her floor.
After Gale unlocked her door, she let you in first. You took in your surroundings and chuckled at how poor you were compared to Gale.
“So this is what it must be like to be really, really rich.” You said, walking into the living room.
“Being a reporter has its perks.” Gale said, giving you a teasing smile.
“It sure does.”
“I never got to ask you about the attack at Sam and Tara’s apartment, and with everything that happened earlier, how are you?” Gale questioned, sitting beside you on her sofa with her laptop in hand.
“I’ve been better but it’s nothing I can’t handle.”
“You miss her, don’t you?”
“Who, Jill-?”
“No. Sid.” Gale said with a sad smile on her face. “She’s been with you through it all and this is your first time without her.”
“Of course I miss her.” You said, fiddling with the fabric of your top. “But she needs to stay safe, away from here. Away from me.”
“She misses you too. And don't think like that.” Gale said, her gaze on you softening. “She changed her number, I can give it to you if you’d like.”
“I’m not sure.” You said, playing with your fingers.
“Just give me your phone.” Gale said, holding her hand out.
“Okay.” You said reluctantly, placing your phone in her hand.
“Thank you.” Gale said, quickly typing in Sidney’s number before handing your phone back to you.
“I don’t think I ever said thank you. For everything, back in two-thousand and eleven, last year and now today. So, thank you.”
“You don’t need to thank me, y/n. I’ll always be there for you, just like Sid.”
“Although you may still see me as a nine year old, I've got your back too.”
“How about, when this is all over, you can come and live with me? Only if you’d like to of course.” Gale said, nudging you with her elbow.
“I’d like that.” You smiled.
“Now, ‘no press’, who does Kirby think she is?” Gale huffed, opening her laptop. “Bitch, last time I saw you, you were in glee club.”
You shook your head with a smile, leaning back on the sofa to get a look at what Gale was doing.
“Forgive me if I don't trust you to keep them safe.” Gale went on to imitate Kirby.
“I’m going to order food, do you want anything?” You asked, opening up your phone.
“Oh, yes please, I'm fine with whatever.”
“Okay.”
You looked through a couple of take out places but ultimately decided on pizza. You placed your order and put on a movie to kill some time.
After about half an hour you got thirsty so you got up from your spot to get a glass of water, as you were about to ask if Gale wanted one, your phone started ringing.
“Your phone, y/n.” Gale said, looking up from her laptop.
“You can answer it.” You replied, finishing your drink and putting the glass in the sink.
“Hello?” Gale answered.
“Hello, Gale. It's strange that you and I have never spoken on the phone. This is long overdue.”
“Who is it?” You asked, walking over to the woman as you watched her shoot out of her seat.
“It’s Ghostface.” Gale mouthed.
“Shit.” You muttered. “Give the phone to me.”
“I agree.” Gale replied over the phone, holding a hand up to you as she shook her head.
“I figured after all these years you’d want an interview.”
“I’m going to call the police.” You whispered, picking up Gale’s home phone before walking out of the room.
“You figured right.” Gale said, looking at her phone as it buzzed on the coffee table, Sam’s name coming up as the contact. “So what's your motive this time? You angry at the movies or are you just trying to stay relevant?”
“Well I could ask you the same. Don't you know the legacy characters are disposable now. Nobody cares about last century's heroes.”
“Then why bother with me at all?”
“Call it nostalgia. Or maybe you deserve to be punished for all that money you made off the misery of others. Maybe it's time someone made a buck reporting your death.”
“You know you're like the tenth guy to try this right. And spoiler alert, it never works out for the dip-shit in the mask.”
“Oh but they certainly leave a mark before they go, don’t they? Richie and Amber managed to butcher Dewey, carved him up like a christmas goose. How does it feel to lose the only man who ever loved you?”
“Fuck you.”
“How does it feel to know that you weren’t there for him at the end? Not there to give him comfort as he died screaming in his own guts.”
“You’re the one who’s gonna die screaming.”
“Maybe, but you won’t be there to see it. You couldn’t stop what happened to Dewey. Just like you wont be able to stop what’s coming.”
“Hey, the police are on their way.” You said quietly, running back in the room.
“Is that, y/n I hear?”
“What do you want?” Gale questioned.
“How about you put them on the phone.”
“No chance.”
“Oh, I'd do it if I were you, Gale.”
“Fine.” Gale reluctantly said, handing you your phone.
“Hey, Ghosty.” You said, taking your phone from Gale and holding up to your ear.
“Hello, y/n. How’s it feel to be cut off from the friendship group?”
“How do you know about that?”
“Oh I know everything. I thought you would know that by now.”
“I guess so.”
“Now, how about a game of hide and seek?”
“I’m sorry?”
“I’m hiding, you come find me.”
“And why would I want to do that?”
“Because I'll gut you like a fish before you have the chance to step foot out of this apartment!” The Ghostface said loudly down the phone. “So, y/n, let me try that again. Do you want to play hide and seek? I’ll make it easier for you by saying if you’re hot or cold.”
“How about a game of Marco Polo. I think that’s a little more interesting.”
“Or I can go back to the originals and ask, what’s your favourite scary movie? It doesn't work like that, y/n. You play by my rules. Hide. And. Seek.”
“You really are a sick fuck.”
“Cold.” Ghostface said, ignoring you and starting the game of hide and seek.
You sighed to yourself, walking towards the kitchen where Gale looked at you with confusion written all over her face.
“Colder.”
“What's going on?” Gale mouthed.
“Hide and seek.” You mouthed back.
“Y/n, no!”
“I’ll be fine, just wait here.”
“What’s taking you so long, y/n?”
“Taking a stroll, you impatient fuckface.” You replied, walking back to the living room.
“Warmer.”
You walked back to where you had called the police, and came across multiple doors, one on your left, two on your right and one at the end of the hall.
You opened the first on your right, only for it to be an empty bathroom.
“Warmer.”
The next one you opened was the one on your left, again empty.
“Warmer.”
You decided to go for the one at the very end of the hall but it was empty too, only leaving one door left to open.
As you grasped the handle you let out a shaky breath, pulling it open with speed.
“Bingo.” Ghostface said, ending the call as they jumped out of the cupboard, stabbing you in the stomach.
“Ah! Fuck!” You yelled, holding your stomach as you fell to the floor, the ghostface standing over you menacingly.
The Ghostface tilted their head to the side, preparing the knife in their hand to bring it down onto your body.
Gale, from the other room, heard your scream and rushed towards you. Stopping in her tracks seeing the Ghostface next to you.
The Ghostface turned their head towards Gale, tilting to the side slightly, looking backwards and forwards from you and Gale.
Their shoulders sagged, shaking their head as they looked down at your body before speeding their way over to Gale, leaving you to bleed out on the floor.
“Gale.” You shouted weakly, desperately trying to stop the bleeding from your abdomen.
If being stabbed once in one day wasn't bad enough, it just had to happen again. You could hear things crashing in the kitchen along with Gale’s attempt to keep the Ghostface away from her.
Using all of your strength, you opened a door that led you to Gale’s bedroom. You pulled yourself along the floor and situated yourself in her walk-in closet.
You let yourself breathe for a moment, looking down at your wound when you let out a small grunt as you applied more pressure, your head slowly starting to become dizzy as you felt your eyelids drooping.
All of a sudden, the heavy breaths of Gale became closer, the woman running into her walk-in closet and slamming the door behind her, making sure it was locked.
“Oh God, Y/n!” Gale said worriedly, rushing over to you, applying pressure on your wound.
“I’m fine, Gale.” You said, struggling to form a sentence as you looked over to the door where the Ghostface pounded on it relentlessly.
“No you're not! Oh God! You have to stay with me!”
“Gale, deal with the Ghostface, I promise I'm fine, I just need to catch my breath.” You said, placing a hand over hers and giving it a gentle squeeze.
Gale gave you a reluctant nod before getting up and opening up a cupboard where inside was a case containing her gun. The case had a lock on it, causing Gale to try a few times before she could finally open it.
Once she had the gun out of the box, she shot towards the door and at the Ghostface and it all went quiet.
“How’s that for nostalgia, fucker!” Gale shouted, tightening her grip on the gun.
Letting out heavy breaths, you finally thought you were safe but you should’ve known that the Ghostface wouldn’t have given up that easily. The sound of a phone ringing causes both you and Gale to jump.
The older woman looked to her side, where the phone sat, right next to a picture of her and Dewey. Keeping her gun facing the door, she walked over to the phone and picked it up.
“You missed.”
“Sure I did.” Gale replied sarcastically.
“You win, I'm in the elevator heading for the ground floor.”
“Sure you are.” Gale scoffed, making her way towards the door shooting at it once again.
“Maybe you did hit me. Maybe I'm wounded. Or maybe I'm wearing a bulletproof vest.”
“That’s why I’m going to shoot you in the fucking head!” Gale shouted, opening the door.
“Gale no!” You yelled, finding some strength in you to pull you up to your feet. You held onto the wall, walking slowly after Gale, watching as she made her way back into the living room.
“You would’ve made a good killer Gale. Sidney would never have made sense and Dewey was a fan favourite but you cracking under the pressure and turning into Ghostface would've been a great twist.”
“Keep talking, asshole.” Gale said, manoeuvring further into the living room. You couldn't keep up with her, having to lean your back against the wall to catch your breath.
“Mhm, sure.” They chuckled. “What do you wanna talk about? You never got to be the leading lady, did you? It was always about poor sweet Sidney sucking up all the oxygen and what did that leave you to be?”
“The brains and the sex appeal.” Gale deadpanned.
“Sorry for stabbing y/n. Being through all this twice didn’t help much.”
“It sure didn’t.”
The Ghostface didn’t reply, not with words, they just laughed over the phone.
“Can you hold please?” Gale asked rhetorically.
“What?”
Gale took the phone away from her ear, dialling her home number causing a phone to ring in another room. Gale turned around fast, shooting at where the noise came from which was soon followed by a groan and a thump.
The ringing continued as she made her way to the door but as she went to open the door, the Ghostface jumped out and stabbed her in the shoulder. She tried to shoot them but they knocked her gun from her hand.
Hearing Gale let out a guttering scream, you pushed yourself off the wall and made your way to her as quickly as you could.
You rounded the corner and saw Gale sitting on the floor, her back to a wall as the Ghostface plunged their knife into her side, just like they did to you.
“Gale!” You said, walking over to her but you were weak, your legs giving out underneath you causing you to tumble to the floor. “Fuck!”
Gale had managed to push the Ghostface off her and she tried to make a run for it but they were hot on her tail. She Smacked a vase over their head, but they still got up.
She ran around her living room, desperately trying to get away but the Ghostface caught up to her. Before they could stab her, Gale flipped them over her shoulder and they smashed into her coffee table. The Ghostface knocked out cold.
Gale looked to her side, seeing you struggle to get to your feet. She made her way towards you and the two of you met in the middle. You laid on your back, staring at the ceiling as Gale sat on her knees applying pressure to your wound.
“You promised me.” Gale sobbed, watching as blood slipped through her fingers. “You promised me you were fine!”
“I am.” You reassured. “I am, now go finish the job.”
“You better be awake by the time I get back.” Gale said, looking intently into your eyes.
“I will, I'm coming to live with you, remember?”
“Do not close your eyes!” Gale said, crawling away from you and back to the Ghostface.
She picked up their knife, looking back at you once before she brought it down onto the Ghostface. However, before she could make contact, the Ghostface picked up a shard of glass and stabbed it into her abdomen.
You heard Gale let out a low groan but you couldn't move, a lone tear falling from the corner of your eye.
The Ghostface took back their knife and went to push it onto Gale’s head but she used all the strength she had left and held the knife away.
“Fuck you!” Gale whispered tiredly.
When you thought the Ghostface was going to kill her, you heard Sam and Tara run into the apartment.
“Hey, fuckface!” Sam shouted, picking up Gale’s gun and shooting it at the Ghostface.
The masked killer quickly got up and ran away, dodging bullets that were firing their way.
“Gale!” Tara exclaimed, rushing over to the woman, Sam following quickly after.
“Shit! Gale!” Sam said, placing pressure on Gale’s wound causing her to groan. “Sorry. I'm sorry. I should’ve known he was going to come after you, I'm so sorry.”
“He didn’t get me. Tell Sidney, he never got me.”
“Hey, no you’ve got to stay awake.” Sam said, watching as Gale slowly closed her eyes.
“Y/n.” Gale said, fighting to stay awake but she finally let her eyes drop and sleep overcome her.
“Gale! No, Gale!” Sam exclaimed.
“Shit!” Tara panicked, looking around her. “Where’s y/n?”
Tara spotted you behind a chair, blood pooling all around you as you didn’t move.
“Y/n!” Tara shouted, rushing over to you. “No, no, no, no. Please stay awake. Please.”
“They’ve got terrible aim.” You croaked, a small smile forming on your face as you placed a hand over Tara’s.
“I’m sorry, God I'm so sorry. I'm so, so sorry.” Tara cried, trying to stop the bleeding from your stomach as tears rolled down her cheeks.
“It’s okay.” You grunted as Tara applied more pressure. “Maybe this proves that I'm not the killer.”
“Even when you’re dying, you still annoy me.”
“You love me.” You smirked. “Even if you won’t admit it to me yet, I know you do.”
“I should’ve believed you.” Tara said, crying even harder. “I do, I do believe you now. I promise, now you’ve got to stay awake, okay? You’ve got to.”
You heard the elevator ding, two paramedics rushing into Gale’s apartment. One going to Gale the other over to you.
“Out of the way.” The paramedics said to Tara and Sam.
“No!” Tara shouted, trying to stay as close to you as possible and Sam did the same thing with Gale.
You placed your hand on Tara’s arm giving her a look. She shook her head, tears flowing even faster now but you persisted and she eventually gave in.
Tara walked over to her sister, the older girl pulling her into her arms as the two of them watched as the paramedics tended to you and Gale.
“Checking.” One paramedic said, putting two fingers to Gales' pulse point. “We’ve got a weak pulse. Get the back board, we need to move now.”
Sam let out a teary sigh, nodding her head finally calm knowing that Gale was okay but then her attention turned to you.
Tara couldn't seem to keep her eyes off you, afraid that if she did you wouldn't make it.
You weren't sure what happened next. One moment police officers and paramedics were rushing into Gale’s apartment and then the next- well, you didn’t know.
Everything was black.

I had a free afternoon today !!! AND !! i watch the first 2 Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies !! SO the first one was i think okay, i hated every single character except for Franklin (i THINK that’s his name, i have a really bad memory) and I thought he was going to be a survivor with his sister, specially cause of the intro and how much it focused on him — VERY disappointed he wasn’t — speaking of his sister WOW she annoyed sm sksksks specially the ending with the constant screaming !! (Ig it is a 70s movie and you know how well they write women but still !! My ears were ringing) BUT !!! HOLY SHIT IS LEATHERFACE FAST SKSKSKKSS what the heck, hes got the zoomies i was genuinely shocked when he grabbed the red shorts girl — i wanna say Pam — in less than a second, i enjoyed but i think maybe the reboot will be better (just so the characters are more fleshed out, cause they started dying too fast)
NOW — THE SEQUEL — ALRIGHT i was so confused the entire time sksksksk but in a good way (like ive never done drugs but thats what i imagine being high feels like) I did really enjoy it but WERE THEY BRINGING PPL BACK FROM THE DEAD ??? WAS THAT HIS BROTHER THAT GOT RUN OVER BY A TRUCK ????? HOW ???? Stretch was fun and had more personality (to say she had one at least) and she was a little smarter but yeah definitely some Gale Weathers shit like girlie is this story really worth it ???? I did enjoy her trying to get through Leatherface (who’s named Bubba ??? 🥺🥺🥺🥺) and him actually wanting to help her, in his weird little way 🥺 OH THE COP ???? Words most useless cop in a horror movie I’ve seen since Dewey in scream 1 (sorry baby but all he did was get stabbed in the back 😩) over all pretty good fever dream of a movie !!
Do you think i should watch the next two or the 2000s reboot ?? (Also sorry for the words longest ask sksksks)
PPFFTT Dewey, your title of himbo useless cop from Scream 1 is being revoked. It goes to Lefty now 😔🏅
Like....I UNDERSTAND Sir, why you want to destroy the place but why are you screaming it the whole time??? Why do you all not have a gun it's 80's Texas and you are an ex cop trying to kill a family of cannibals and you didn't think "Hmm...Maybe mace or a knife or a gun would be a good idea with these chainsaws? 🤔" THEY EAT PPL. YOU KNOW THIS. THERE'S MANY OF THEM.
Yep! The corpse is Nubbins aka the brother that got ran over! Which is Chop Top's (Guy with the plates) twin brother. That's why he's constantly carrying him around. I don't think anyone was brought to life they're just mentally deranged and think they're alive when they're not but...I got questions about Grandpa...Like, out of everything he unnerved me the most when his face came into view all I could think of was NO! ANYTHING BUT GRANDPA!! 😨😭😱
I told u it's like a horror comedy for sure ☠️ Them putting the hammer in grandpas old decrepit hand just for him to hit Bubba instead ☠️☠️☠️ And all I could think of when Stretch and Chop Top were biting, slapping each other is "Oh no, the girls are fighting-"
First one isn't my fav either it was scary for the time but the entire cast, especially Sally and Franklin HATED each other behind the scenes. Constant arguing, in Texas heat with no AC and Leatherface actually ended up cutting Sally's finger for real bc they were so irritated with the blood pump not working so her screaming might be for real bc if I was tied up and these low budget movie producers and director cut my finger for real I'd think WTF 😬
Definitely watch the remakes they are grittier and more gorey but I liked the cast more. I would watch the prequel first (The beginning made in 2006) and then the remake (2003)

An interlude. What now?
Happens between Empty Prayers and Dreams of Red.
Nemo tries to be serious and Think of the Future. It backfires.
Characters: Dark Urge (Nemo), Enver Gortash, Astarion, Karlach, Wyll, Shadowheart, Gale, Lae'zel.
TW: mentions of cannibalism, questionable way to raise children (Nemo wtf), canon-typical Durge behavior.
Info about Nemo's assassins:

"You do realize we all are doomed, right?" The question comes out of nowhere amidst of one of the calmest nights they have. It breaks the feeble illusion of peace right away.
"Now, you don't have to put it like that," Gale tries. "We still have some choices-"
"Blowing yourself up is not a choice," Wyll cuts out, uncharacteristically sour.
"But-"
"No, Gale," Shadowheart agrees. "No more stupid self-sacrifices for the gods who do not deserve that. Besides, you remember what Gortash said? What if you have done as Mystra wanted you to and detonated the orb in the illithid colony, it would turn every parasite-infested person into mindflayer?"
"I'm not sure how much we can trust a word of the former Chosen of Bane."
"Fair," the former Chosen of Shar agrees. "I wouldn't trust him either. But something tells me this time he was telling the truth."
"He also sits just across you, if your memory is that fragile," Gortash comments. "And thank you, not like I was thinking of impending doom and our deaths for every hour of every day now."
"Not like you kickstarted this whole event," Karlach comments.
"And what would you have me to do, let Orin kill Nemo?"
"Well, you could have not tried to conquer the world using the extremely dangerous magical artifact and, you know, the Elder Brain."
"You keep saying that, but I have yet to hear a single idea how to fix it and for us, you know, not die drastically and like fools."
"Everyone always dies like a fool," Astarion comments. "Death is dumb like that."
"If you'd only let me finish," Nemo raises his voice. "And stopped this 'woe are us, we are doomed' crying-"
"We are listening," Wyll tries. "Oh, well, at least I am trying to."
Nemo sends him a grateful look.
"Alright, let's start it anew, you literal bickering children-"
"Hey-"
"Gortash started it-"
"Oh, fuck off-"
"Quiet," and surprisingly, they all quiet down. This is who Nemo is forced to work with these days. Unbelievable.
"We are screwed. This is not me being overly dramatic, this is not me being pessimistic, this is the actual truth we're dealing with. The Elder brain has one stone and if it wasn't breaking out of the hold before - which he was, very much - it's clearly out of it now. Now, the questions why it hasn't turned everyone into mindflayers and why it's playing laying low for now is a mystery, but-“
"It's luring us back to it," Astarion comments. "What? Can't we offer our thoughts too? I didn't know it's One Man show you're having here."
"You have no idea how many people have been stabbed over interrupting him mid speech," Gortash comments. "Me included."
"Oh yeah, well, maybe try to not talk over me, asho-"
"I wasn't talking over you-"
"Just like you aren't doing it now?" Nemo glares at him. "You're lucky I need you alive."
"Thank you oh so kindly, the gracious one-"
"Tsk'va," Lae'zel interrupts the quarrel. "You two desire to tear into each other’s flesh so much it makes you stupid. Go get the urges out of the system and come back when you're capable of being rational."
This comment, made with intention of calming things down, has rather the opposite effect.
"You're the one to talk," Nemo hisses as his face reddens.
"I do not ‘desire to tear into his flesh’," Gortash argues.
Astarion laughs.
"Yes, and I am not a vampire spawn."
"Can we not fight?" Wyll, an unfortunate voice of reason amidst this chaos.
"Oh, I don't know," Gale smirks. "I rather find it amusing to watch."
"You know what?" Nemo snaps. "Go on, detonate this orb. I'm done with it."
"Now I'm not going to, purposely because you asked me so nicely."
"I fucking hate this family."
"Karlach, you already said that."
"It doesn't mean I hate it any less."
"I miss my children," Nemo suddenly chimes in. "They listened to me."
"Your who?"
"Oh, please," Gortash snorts. "I once saw one of your children stab her brother over something minor."
"It was their brother and it was nothing minor. He took their target, that's just rude."
"I'm sorry," Gale tries. "Can we backtrack now? What children are you talking about now?"
Nemo blinks at them.
"Oh," he exclaims. "My assassins, of course, the ones I personally brought into the fold."
"And the reason you address them as children is because..?"
"They were orphans Nemo picked up from the streets," Gortash mentions. "At least that's what I was told."
"Excuse me, what?" Karlach, indignation flaring with her fire. "You stole children?"
"First of all, it's kidnapped and not stole. Second of all, they came willingly," Nemo scoffs. "And really, do you think they had any other choice? Do you think any good life was waiting for them? I saved their lives."
"You've abducted children into the cult and made them killers," Wyll speaks. "Nemo, this is-"
"Wrong?" He interrupts. "How wrong can it truly be? They would die without me, or better yet, get killed. Do you think there's mercy for a girl who took a life of her stepfather? Whose mother blamed her for the murder even if said stepfather was in dire need of killing?" He pierces Wyll with a sharp stare.
"Do you think Flaming Fists would save a little tiefling boy with too much magic in his blood? Do you think they'd get to the mad crowd in time and protect the boy from it? Do you think they'd even care? A tiefling child, an evil child, a hellspawn. No one would miss him, no one would cry for him. And," he smiles and this smile looks poisonous.
"Do you think your honorable father would spare a child whose survival was linked to the deal with the fiend? Do you think he, who exiled his own son, would look at destruction of the House Et'rris, at the only surviving its member, linked to a devil, and help them? Save them?" His voice drops to a low tone.
"How dare you judge me? You were not there to save these children, I was. What did I do but gave them a second chance? What did I do but gave them home? Where else would they go? Who else would feed starving orphans on the streets, Duke Ravengard?" He laughs an ugly, bitter laugh.
"The Council of Four? Don't be ridiculous, they never even looked down to see the low folk struggling. Those children, all those children would die if not for me. From the so-called justice, from an angry mob, from prison, from starvation. I found them, fed them, cared for them. I made them best of the best, the perfect murderers, the perfect shadows of the night. And who can hurt them now, when they're the worst things haunting Baldur's Gate? Who would dare to strike at them but their own? I made them strong."
The stunned, eerie silence falls over the camp.
Then Karlach raises her voice.
"What did you feed them with?"
"This is irrelevant."
"No, it's not."
"It was a good meat: not rotten, not touched by any diseases, I even cooked it-"
"I fed children the human flesh?!" Gale asks in horror.
"Of course you'd assume it was human," Nemo scoffs. "It was elven too, you know. Some dwarf meat, even halfling or tiefling there and there-"
"You did what?!"
"It was that or starving on the streets! And anyway, I was fed humanoid flesh my entire life and I turned out alright-"
Astarion scoots a little closer to Gortash.
"He did not turn out alright," the pale elf whispers, watching the argument rising to new, dangerous heights. "And you knew that, didn't you?"
"What Nemo eats flesh?" Gortash hums. "It wasn't a big secret."
"And what he feeds his...children the same?"
"It's a Cult of Murder," the man shrugs. "One expects some level of atrocities from it."
"That's not the answer."
"That's the one you'll get," Astarion watches Gortash watching Nemo, a small satisfies smile dancing on his lips. "I don't particularly care what he feeds his assassins, only what all of them seem to care very little for table manners."
"So I'm guessing you've met them?"
"Yes."
"...What are they like?"
"Why don't you ask their benefactor that and not the man who saw them once or twice?"
"Because their benefactor is currently in a screaming match with our companions," Astarion's shrugs. "Though he seems to be holding his ground just alright."
Gortash snorts.
"He used to lead fifty or so bloodthirsty murderers and made it look easy," another long, heavy look at Nemo. "He is good at handling people. Bhaal convinced Nemo the best thing a bhaalshapwn can be is a perfect blade, which is a shame, really. Nemo would do wonders in high court; he has enough charisma and intelligence to wrap the nobles around his fingers without them so much as noticing it.”
"It sounds like you admire him," Astarion comments, trying very hard not to feel slighted at that. Of course tyrant admires his nearest in dearest, it was to be expected. And anyway, doesn’t Nemo deserve to be admired?
But why does it sit so ill against his skin?
"Of course I admire him," the tyrant replies, not even looking away from the assassin. "He is brilliant. His part in our plans is not to be overlooked; everything came falling apart the moment Orin replaced him. Bhaal might have been content with a mad woman who could not control her urges, but our plan could not. She made a mess of things, ruined several of carefully constructed plans and hadn't even noticed. The amount of people I had to tadpole simply because Orin was acting unwise is-" he sighs. "Where Nemo would just waltz into the room, smile and bullshit his way through everything, Orin made things worse."
Astarion hums.
"I once saw Nemo convince an orthon to kill his minions, then his pet, then himself," he mentions. "So I can easily see him doing that."
"An orthon?" Gortash looks surprised. "Where in the Nine Hells did you find an orthon?"
"In a Gauntlet of Shar," Astarion shrugs. "He made an ill-fitted deal with Raphael and tried to get out of it. Nemo tricked him into false getaway."
Three's a long silence after that.
"Raphael," Gortash speaks slowly, as if tasting the words. "It's been a while since I've heard that name. How did you stumble into him?"
"More like he stumbled into us. He appeared from the thin air, laid heavy on those sweet talks of his and tried to talk Nemo into a deal. Probably still trying, all things considered. I am not sure what exactly he wants from Nemo, but he is insistent."
Gortash grows silent once more.
"I would advise against strikingly any deals with that particular devil," he comments after a pause. "Deals with him are even fouler than the deal with the devil would be expected to be. Raphael is clever; he is patient and knows how to play the game. Worst of all, he is at advantage of knowing Nemo while Nemo does not know him, and in the position where he is holding a grudge against the dear assassin of mine."
Astarion bites down the bitter taste of the way Gortash claims Nemo as his.
This can wait. His questions would not.
"Why would he hold a grudge against Nemo?"
Gortash actually laughs, a short lived and curt sound, but laugh none less.
"Because Nemo has done something Raphael failed to do. Raphael has been lusting after the Crown of Karsus for millennia, but was never able to relieve it from Mephistopheles' vault. Together Nemo and I successfully orchestrated and executed the plan what brought the crown into our hands."
So this is what Raphael wants.
"He is after the crown," Astarion comment. "And he thinks Nemo will be able to get it for him."
Gortash nods.
"And I can't express enough how this is absolutely a thing what cannot happen. Raphael is bad enough without a otherworldly power what is the Crown of Karsus in his claws."
"So," Astarion studies the man closely. "Better the crown in your hands then?"
Gortash smiles.
"Providing what we can get it off Elder Brain first and live," he comments. "But yes."

After Oz: Oz Squad
The Oz Squad is a comic that run in the 90s, written by Steven Ahlquist. Its main purpose was to update the characters of Baum works for a “more adult audience”.
I usually don’t like these pieces of work. These “dark”, “gritty”, “edgy” adaptations of Oz that try to modernize it and darken it. I usually don’t like them because they are poorly done, often include too much sex than necessary, and often aren’t faithful at all to any sort of Oz lore and merely use vague references. But this comic book actually started in a fascinating way. It manages to darken AND modernize the Oz lore perfectly, with a very strong basis.
In this story, Oz and Earth are now linked together. While people from Earth don’t go on Oz, they know of its existence and now all the stories about Oz are true, while members of Oz can actually go on Earth whenever they went. But as a result, all sorts of threats arose from both of the worlds, and Dorothy Gale with her faithful friends formed a special task force named the “Gale Squad” that is supposed to treat with all the Oz-related threats and crimes.
As I said, this is actually a strong and fresh basis, that plays out very well in the beginning. There is barely any sexuality, no an excess of blood and gore, and most of the “moral darkness” of this setting is actually explained by the fact that our world has a deep, profond, complex morality that clashes violently with the mindset of Oz where everything is black or white, good or wicked. Thus, the Ozian people that come to Earth always end up changed in a way or another.
This idea is actually the core idea of this work (well, was) and is also this comic’s greatest strenght. The comic studies the clash and oppositions between our world and the Ozian one, and how they would influence and change each other - which results in philosophy, morality and politics.
One thing this comic book does (that usually the other “dark edgy” adaptations don’t do) is that it keeps the world of Oz identical to the writings of Baum. It is still a marvelous and peaceful place filled with wonders and magic, that still has the same struggles and ways of life than in the books (well… almost. I’ll talk about it later). The darkness and the “edgy” doesn’t come so much from a re-invention of Oz than from the confrontation of Oz and our world.
[ I said there was “barely” any sex. Usually there is no mention of sexuality, except for one moment - a sex joke with “rewinding” Tik-Tok. This was a really weird and out-of-style moment that seemed both ridiculous and childish, so I have to mention this as a flaw. But usually it doesn’t go that far.]
As far as the Ozian lore used… at first I thought the comic would stick only to the book lore (we see Tik-Tok, the Magic Belt, Ozma, Jack Pumpkinhead…), however there are also elements that strongly hint at the movie-lore (the Eastern Witch being associated with red and rubies, the winged monkeys being servants of the wicked witch of their own free will…). But, later in the comic book, some weird decisions appeared. It is now the Witch of the East, and not the one of the West, that melts when entering in contact with water. Mombi is the Witch of the West. Smith and Tinkers are alive and living in Oz, not lost in paintings or on the moon. Such little details that make me wonder if the author wanted to re-invent the Ozian lore, or if he made mistakes based on a poor knowledge of Oz.
It is so difficult to see that because, otherwise, the author actually does a wonderful job at freshening and reinventing the Oz lore. For example, the idea that “no one can die in Oz” is taken back and reinterpreted as “Ozians have the natural ability to heal at an extremely fast rate and grow back organs”. The backstory about the Tinman’s origin is also quite fresh. The idea that Dorothy brought to life the Scarecrow with the Silver Slippers is a not-so-well-known idea that is however present ever since the Baum stage adaptations. And I love the take on the four cardinal Witches, this idea that they are an “institution” much older than any form of monarchy or ruling in Oz, and thus that, as a whole, they can allow themselves to be above moral considerations, because before being “good” or “wicked” they are, in the end, all Witches. A fascinating idea (and quite similar to my personal headcanons and ideas, so of course that will please me).
There is actually a big focus on the past of Oz, thanks to a time-travelling machine, and it seems all good… until the series ends abruptly without explaining everything. Another element that wasted a bit the potential of this story was… the lack of focus.
Indeed, the further you go in the comics, the further the author goes away from Oz and starts using the characters to tell unrelated, weird stories (I even wondered several times if I was supposed to know the reference to these stories, or if it was a nod to another comic or book). For exemple, the Scarecrows ends up meeting Leonardo da Vinci and Joan d’Arc at the same time as vampires and werewolves. Or Dorothy ends up for a time in a Far West town and become sheriff. And that’s not speaking about the “Special” that includes the murder of president Kennedy, the MIB and Baba-Yaga. So many stories that don’t feel like Oz at all, and actually don’t even look like the first arcs of the comic, to the point you wonder if there is some problem somewhere, or issues missing. Which is also as many pages wasted, when they could have told us more about these stories and mysteries hinted throughout the chapters.
Another thing I don’t particularly like (and which is a flaw I find often in Oz-related works) is the inclusion of other pieces of fiction. For example, in this comic we talk of Liliput and the Baron Munchaunsen. I generally dislike to see a mix of so many “outside” elements with Oz, when the Oz world has already enough worlds, lands and characters to explore on its own.
But as I said, this comic also has a lot of qualities. For example, while it focuses a lot on technology and robotics, it never goes into a full sci-fi and stays in the “magical technology” mindset of the Oz books. Similarly, while it presents a lot of politic talks and spying plots, it is treated on an equal foot, and as a whole, with the fantasy and the magical material. A lot of qualities unfortunately drowned or othershadowed by other flaws, mostly due to the author apparently not knowing when restraining his creative flow, or not realizing when something may be of bad taste.
I’ll end with the biggest “WTF” moment for me: there were nazis in Oz. Apparently, after WW2, some nazis managed to enter Oz and recreated the war there. Including the concentration camps. Yep.
It is merely alluded through flashbacks and scenes but… I mean, that is really poor and bad taste. If yet it had been a more subtle reference, if it had been disguised or diluted but… no, straight nazis.

F2 from the Northuldrans' perspective
D -3
Ladeedum, we're just going about our normal lives in the forest, herding reindeer, staying away from that pesky Lieutenant Mattias and his soldiers... Nothing new, been doing this for 34 years, 5 months and 20 days. Ladeedum...
That night, huntsmen and fishermen return from the north, reporting sightings of Earth Giants for the first time since the Mist descended. We better be on the alert.
(Elsa has woken the spirits)
D -2
A tremendous gale-force wind is felt briefly, which stops abruptly. Strange voices are heard in the forest! We better go investigate! Has the Wind spirit returned?
A group of Arendellians, our enemies, have entered the forest! How did they pass through the mist?! One is a living, talking, indestructible snowman (who is quite a good actor too); the tall girl with blonde hair says she’s the queen of the Arendellians. She can make ice! (and I’ve never seen a dress like hers that is so revealing in the back...)
Suddenly, the fire spirit appears for the first time in 34 years and sets everything on fire. Run!! The Queen fights back in a furious battle of ice and fire! She subdues and makes friends with the fire spirit! Wth?
Omg. That scarf. THAT SCARF!
What is it doing with the Princess? That's Iduna's scarf, the last descendant of one of our oldest families! Could...could she still be alive?! We thought she perished that day but we never found her body! Iduna became Queen of Arendelle?! Are you joking?
Noooooo...They also said their parents’ ship sank 6 years ago. This revelation is too much, too heavy! Oh wait, the spirits have confirmed that Queen Elsa and Princess Anna are indeed related to us Northuldra. Time to sing our folk song...
nananaheyanna...
We’ve brought them to the village now, including Lieutenant Mattias for the first time. Everybody is relaxed and talking to the new arrivals. The children are playing with Olaf, the snowman. Ryder is talking to Kristoff and bringing him somewhere with his reindeer, Sven. Honeymaren is talking to the Queen by the fire.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! Oh no!! What is that Earth giant doing here! Hide, everyone! Make no sound!
OK, he left...thankfully. Wait. Where’s the Queen? Where’s the Princess? They just left, like that? With the snowman?
D -1
OKAY, yesterday was the WEIRDEST day ever. Was it all a dream? The Arendellians have vanished...were they even here???
Right...Let’s just...get back to our lives and watch out for the spirits. That water spirit has yet to appear, we better watch out for it. Right, everyone try and act normal, ladeedum, let’s just herd reindeer and do our daily business and forget about everything that happened. Free the forest? Nah...it’s been 34 years, 5 months and 22 days...don’t think it’s gonna happen...ladeedum
The rest of the day passes as per normal.
D-Day
“Wake uuuuuuuupppppp!!!!”
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
What is happening!!!!!!!!!!! That’s the Princess’ voice! She’s back? Where’s the queen? There are 3 giants in the forest chasing after Princess Anna!!! What on earth is the Princess doing, she looks like she’s gone crazy! Who in their right mind purposely irritates the Giants! She’s gonna get crushed!
Oh. She’s made it to the dam. She’s talking to Mattias and his soldiers now. They all have their swords drawn. What is this? Mutiny? A coup?
The Princess has gone mad!! She’s screaming at the giants and they’ve started attacking her! Oh wait! She’s actually getting them to destroy the dam! The dam is breaking, it’s breaking!
WHOOSH! A mighty roar resounds as the lake of water created by the dam breaks through and rushes down the fjord. There is a brilliant flash of light in the sky! Just like the one that flashed when the mist descended. Then, a calm settles on the forest. One that we’ve not felt for 34 years, 5 months and 23 days.
Geez. What was all that about?
A few minutes/hours later...(Depending on your headcanon lol)
The mist! The Mist!!! The MIST is disappearing!!! Look at the sky!! The reindeers are doing a cyclone! I’ve never seen them so happy before! 34 years, 5 months and 23 days are finally over!
Epilogue:
WTF is the Queen wearing now??? She’s the long lost FIFTH SPIRIT!!!
The Queen has explained everything and apologised for the creation of the dam and the murder of our previous chief by the previous King. She has been to Ahtohallan! So it’s not a legend after all! Also, she has decided to stay with us. She has anointed the Princess as the new Queen of Arendelle.
I just wanted to try some creative writing, it's not my strength. This piece is supposed to be humorous. Feel free to critique/comment and add to it.

His consort, his god
Good aligned ascended Astarion and soon to be god Gale now have a fic to go with the idea.
if you now ask: wtf is good aligned AA? - This is how I came up with it
One shot, mostly porn with a hint of relationship analysis
Gods, how good it felt. How alive . Two hundred years seemed to wither under just his consorts touch. “Stop it”, Astarion commanded and pulled back. “I want more of you. I want all of you.” “What is mine is yours. Always.”
#power couple in the most literal sense#bloodweave#gale x astarion#ascended astarion#hurray for me to writing gale#as a non native speaker his use of fancy words intimidated me#bg3#astarion#bloodweave fic

Hot takes about OUaT. What a time to be alive.
@isagrimorie I loved, I adored that bit. The juxtaposition of Snow White’s ‘real world’ reputation vs how real!Snow is actually into angry rock!
I think the whole dual personality was dropped too soon. But it’s especially weird with Snow. They have her go back to the Enchanted Forest, where she immediately falls into all the badassery we love about her. Like Emma doesn’t even have the brainspace to fully compute, that her nice teacher roommate casually grabs bow+arrow and a sword and knows exactly what to do with those (while running around with her tiny handgun, oh Emma, you dork). But she is fine being called Mary Margaret, until they suddenly remember “maybe we should switch that” and give like a midlife-persona-crisis in S4 to say it out loud. Which on the one hand I like, on the other is so late in the game.
As incomprehensible as I find the story surrounding Eloise Gardner and as someone who liked OUaT in Wonderland and that Alice 1.0, I have to say that S7 was a fun watch for the most part. But I also love S4 very much, even though it’s for the shallow reason of the sexy villainess quartet. (It’s also weird how Maleficent has more bad blood with Snow than Aurora; just like Zelena is so fixated on Regina that... everything they could have done with Oz beyond flying monkeys is ignored. And I’m not just saying that because big grumpy lesbian Dorothy Gale is a thing I didn’t know I craved so much.)
@cliquestitsandicks And i actually hated that Regina never got to keep a romantic partner just because she wanted it so badly.
I felt the whole Tink showing her Robin Hood was... a bad, bad move. But also when it finally happened, I also shrugged and though “sweet, gonna be happy for Regina and hey, the guy can hold his own in dialogue, that’s great”. And then they didn’t care about him as a character?! Honestly, it would have been better if he left with (the real) Marion and never came back. Painful goodbye, but a finished story. And we could look at Tink and ask “wtf??”.
On the one hand I want to applaud the underlying choice that the most important love in Regina’s life is her love as a mother to Henry. (As someone who doesn’t want kids, btw, because me not wanting the thing doesn’t mean I don’t see value in that.) And it was a love she had to earn. because she was absolutely gaslighting him. She overcame everything she had learned from Cora. On the other hand, this show is all about True (romantic) Love - and Regina deserves this kind of happiness, too! Especially when Rumple is allowed to choose power over love - with a surprised pikachu-face when said loved ones don’t think that’s cool - again and again, only for love to come back to him anyway. (And I get they tried to tell us, that as the Dark One this lure about power is super strong, but they only remembered to have him put up a tiny bit of fight, when it was for dramatic scene reasons.)
I love Robert Carlyle in this role and understand why he needed to be kept around. But they fell down the hole of “gonna have to find excuses for him” soap opera style and played it totally straight. While always going on about how Regina is a villain and doesn’t deserve happiness. And then it’s the whole plot of 4b, where it’s all glorious, but with S5... meh... also let’s keep Zelena for.... reasons. And let her have a baby, a lover and fun while being her most horrible self and then sweep it under the rug. While Regina SUFFERS. (Yeah, boohoo, she lost Hades, but it’s not like it affected her for more than two minutes, because she did have the..... let’s say dubious-consent baby..... which will never be addressed when said baby becomes a character who idolizes the father she never knew..... and doesn’t mention her brother that seems completely forgotten..... honestly, was Roland ever mentioned again? Regina cared about him, because she cares about children.)
Meanwhile Emma and Hook have one of the worst relationship build-ups with all the tropes why we are tired of “she’s a girl, he’s a boy”-romances. Which is so weird, because Snow and Charming are everything I want to see with couples. The respect, trust, friendship and also yes-I-have-punched-this-face-but-really-I-just-want-to-kiss-it. I can deal with Emma being like “yo, pirate, you don’t have to choose to be a dick, because it’s easier to be alone, I have understood that friends are awesome and you can, too”. That there is a connection somewhere. But they aren’t even friends. They are the type of couple that will constantly decide what is best for the other without talking. Which is fine to a degree for dramatic sacrificial plays, but it has to lead to “that was a stupid thing to do, talk to me next time”. And then next time they do. Or where it’s clear that one partner loves the other way more and they both know this isn’t something that will last (see Buffy/Spike for reference, ignoring of course the end of S6). Hook is a worse version of Spike and I don’t care about him that much as his own character already (dear Jane Espenson, I enjoy what you write very much across so many shows I like, but we need to have a talk, I know this is your type of character; but you also wrote Red-Handed, We are both and In the Name of the Brother, so I owe you and will let this slide).
#OUaT#cliquestitsandicks#isagrimorie#ramblings#(I wouldn't even say I'm totally anti-Hook I'm just not here for Captain Swan as a ship they want me to cheer for)
