When I was little, and we had first gotten our dog, it was recommended that we annoy him (so that when children inevitably yanked on an ear or something he didn't go for the throat). I IMMEDIATELY volunteered for the task, and would bother him constantly (mess with his ears, poke his teeth, etc).

This ^ is something we do as a byproduct of the training. I hook a finger around one of his teeth and he'd gently shake. It reminded me of Raph and April for some reason, so I drew it! :D

I'm laughing at this growly dog because--and I've watched Iike 50 videos to try to figure out what the vibe is here--I think they're just mad that their owner is asking them to do an obstacle course instead of just handing them the treats directly.

It's possible the owner does need to leave this dog alone more often, but no one is forcing them to do this. From what I can tell, they're being encouraged with treats offscreen. The rest of the body language is relatively loose and bouncy.

The other dogs have that interested look dogs get when you ask them to complete an activity that requires them to use their brain. It's frustrating for them to figure it out, but not so hard that they can't do it.

So from what I can tell, the situation is this:

White poodle: I got this!

Maltese: Um... I guess I can try?

Brown poodle: how DARE you ask me to do this.

It's possible I'm missing something and it does make me a little nervous, but I'm pretty sure they just have an attitude.

I still have a cold and I am still not feeling well but I am very amused to report that at the moment when I sing songs from Hadestown I sing Hades better than I sing Eurydice lol

Idk just. Flint not knowing how to read / interpret Rinzler's actions & thoughts for a while when they're new acquaintances. & every casual user gesture gets NO WHERE with the program, making Flint feel like he's absolutely failing at trying to bond with his silent weird companion...

But internally all Rinz can do is think about carving up other programs & dragging them over to rest at Flint's feet, like a house cat bringing back rodents or leaves for their owner from outside.

Just. Major miscommunication on both their parts because they're. Very different beings & not even the sane TYPE of living being or even from the same plane of existence at that lol

... & then after figuring out why they were so confused, Flint starts trying to instruct Rinz on ways to show user affections, like hugging... & kissing.... & after the first incredibly awkward kiss Flint walks Rinz through, Rinz goes in for a second before Flint can even get a word in edgewise &... the program mightve just discovered "making out" all on his own at this point lol
