"so what all of this old thing needs to be fixed that you can't get to?"

She asks, leaning back on the table a bit to stretch. She was in a lot better of a mood than about an hour ago.

"also how is your vision-? Sorry about that flash from earlier by the way, I didn't know what else to do."

".... Mostly the navigation controls- They're tucked behind the benches- I can't reach them, they're way too small, plus-"

[He raised his hands, showing off the large claws, tapping them together.]

"Bit hard to have... any sort of grip on em. I have all the supplies n stuff, just..."

[There he was. Her brother, the engineer. Her brother, Sebastian. He started to slither in circles, the closest thing to pacing he could do, waving his hand in a circle as he spoke.]

[He grabbed something out of the sub, holding out a palm to Dakota.]

"Here you go- Non-broken rubber band. Been using them to cluster wires together. And.. Well, you certainly had every reason to flashbang me, but-"

I didn't get him (and I need to save my keys for Silver's birthday, sob) so I looked up his groovy, and I'm not over how incredibly dramatic and epic and cool it looks in direct contrast to the absolutely ridiculous context. just look at that dynamic action and his majestic sparkling tears and keep in mind that this is pretty much right after a bunch of characters have been dance battling for his soul.

and then even the actual moment of the groovy is just like

this is NOT a negative in the slightest, I love it all, this truly was an incredible update in so many ways

Hypothesis: Aziraphale HATES that Crowley is living in his car.

Supporting evidence:

The very first thing we see him do in the present is stop Maggie from moving out and making sure she feels welcome to stay as long as she likes.

He clearly knows Crowley’s unhappy before anything happens in the plot: “Does it calm you down?”. And also clearly feels helpless about it. Enter the conspicuous Eccles cakes: Aziraphale’s offer, which is rejected.

Crowley’s obviously, for all his hedging, spending a lot of time at the bookshop— so much that he has his own glasses perch and feels immediately comfortable removing them. See also: “Technically my bookshop but we both get plenty of use out of it”, “Why don’t you wait inside? You like waiting inside”.

It’s Crowley who immediately shoves the box of plants into Aziraphale’s arms after Aziraphale returns from Scotland.

Speaking of Scotland, why wouldn’t Aziraphale take the train? Why insist on driving the Bentley? Is it perhaps because he wants to get Crowley and his plants into the shop, and thinks if he creates a situation where Crowley has to stay there, maybe he won’t immediately leave again?

He’s got an empty bedroom and an apparently pathological need to make the person staying there very comfortable, creating cute little customized souvenirs like he’s an Air B&B host (displacement!).

He immediately jumps to having Gabriel stay with him— he didn’t have to. Arguably, both Gabriel and Aziraphale would be safer if Gabe stayed elsewhere.

That’s what I’ve got for now but I’m sure there’s more. Throughout the show, watch what Aziraphale gives to others and does for others, and it’ll tell you what he wants to do for Crowley. He’s living so deeply in displacement in makes him come across as manic and brittle.

(What probably happened is Aziraphale offered the spare bedroom and Crowley, who unconsciously didn’t want to be his roommate or sleep in a single bed with Aziraphale right downstairs because how could the poor lovesick boy cope with that, told him he wasn’t a “good deed” for Aziraphale to do and stormed off.)

Conclusion: Aziraphale asked Crowley to stay at his place, immediately and probably repeatedly. They had a row about it, and Crowley refused, and to this day Aziraphale doesn’t understand why.

And it hurts him.

i found a snippet i can share without forty pages of accompanying context because of how obscure the AUs that haunt me are lol here is achilles being sad in troy from an upcoming chapter of glass slipper

He isn’t entirely sure how long they’ve been here, fighting and waiting for fighting. Sometimes it feels like he was born here on the sand, listening to the familiar crash of wave after wave on the shore. Here, the sounds of the water mix with the always chattering, running, cleaning, clamoring, drinking, laughing, crying soldiers in the camp. He can’t pull apart the sound of the waves from the sounds of the soldiers. Dimly, he knows Phthia’s waters sound the same, but the way the camp’s ambient noise has woven in with the ocean’s makes him feel as though he’s on an alien planet, that this isn’t a real ocean, that these aren’t real people.

we're visiting the elderly because of the holidays. in one of the houses we got in, is an old lady and two boys visiting. the boys are one same and one younger than me. my father haven't even met these boys before while my mom talks to the old lady

and he's now just chatting with these boys. all happy and amazed, chatting with them. he seems happy; one of the boys, the same age as me, is really interested and talking, while the younger one is ignoring. but he still talks a lot with them.

theyre talking about bikes right now. literally. my father is a mechanical engineer, now working in robotics. the boy seems interested in the topics. my father is now talking to him as if he's his son. my father always wanted a son.

yet he won't ever see me as one. it's geniunely stabbing me in the heart right now to see him care and chat to them like this. am i being too extra? maybe. just triggered an identity crisis in me i guess. but it's painful. he wont ever care about me like that.

It always comes back to the same problems. Tale, Fell, Swap, the majority of all my other AUs, Sans feels tremendous amounts of pressure to take care of his brother and tries hard not to let Papyrus know just how difficult it truly is for him, Papyrus can obviously tell anyway, and feels tons of pressure to take more responsibility for himself.

Papyrus is so easily influenced at such a young age, and learns to keep the struggles a secret from Sans, and later on unintentionally doing the same thing Sans did by trying to hide the burden so it wouldn't weigh on his brother.

Maybe the exact why or other circumstances vary but it always ends up that way. Sans thinks he has to do everything on his own and Papyrus just wants to help him, but the only way he knows how is to do the exact thing that only worries Sans more but neither will just talk about it. For one reason or another. They are locked in knowing the other cares, wanting to take care of them, but failing to ever actually do things to better their relationship, only creating more, and more, and more distance.

Because distance is safer than dragging each other down. It takes a very long time to realize they were doing that anyway (if they ever get so lucky).
