Even as children, their shared dreams were a bit spotty, but the older they got the fewer dreams they'd share.

At first, it was Tim's insomnia that was causing problems. Then Tim started following around Batman and Robin. Then came training and being Robin.

Even before Danny's accident, they'd only had a few shared hours a few times a week. After his accident, it suddenly turned into a few hours once or twice a month.

Then came Red Robin and a CEO job.

One day, Tim realizes he hasn't had a shared dream in months. Not even a few minutes together.

i haint watched the dang chibisode and idk if ill actually watch it with sound on sdfjk but i have a hurt feeling about them casually imbuing perry with speech for a one off gag because the idea that he needs to talk to communicate is fake. we had 4 seasons of wacky magic hijinks cartoon where perry never needed verbal speech to communicate. they couldve done this gag at any point in the show but they didn't, and the fact that they didn't felt significant. perry's muteness is such a core part of his character, to me, to the way i conceive of him/write him. i don't wanna overreact to a goofy little side cartoon (even tho i'm doing it anyway) but it's still the characters, and it still upsets me! ok that's it i've said my piece

I do feel like these designs maybe portray the clearest arc out of all of them so far. I like that #some of it came from a bit of necessity which is really fun that mirrors the actual play format thats cool #(necessity being freshman year riz is pretty much a huge block of red flannel lmao. kinda stole figs canon color coding for a bit)#(and he's got the owlbear jacket from taping the games in sophomore year... so I cant give fig the big red blocking until #junior year lmao. coincidentally this forced me to be a bit more dynamic with her concept which is great)#her second pair of shoes very sonic tho. A distress signal? How curious. Archotechnology is always tempting...

Mechi went to investigate with Chief of Security Ratchet and Deputy Rocket, only to discover the place was crawling with gross flesh. They left with zero archotechnology and a renewed disgust for all things biological.

Finally, everyone meet Hummel, the newest wild man on the map. He looks like the world's most irate, washed-up foxboy. I love him.

it's more extrapolation than anything truly concrete, but he had a pretty nasty breakdown after the infamous meth incident gig at the whiskey a go go in LA, wrote a dire emotional note of some kind to liam, quit the band, ran away to another city without telling anyone, hid out with a girl he'd just met for a few weeks, came out the other side with a shaved head and a painfully sad beautiful song, and to this day claims to not really remember anything about the whole incident (probably a lie, but who knows). obvs we don't know exactly what sort of severity of emotional distress was going on that whole time, but it seemed pretty extreme, significantly worse than at any other point in his public life, and liam in particular was very upset and scared by his behaviour and worried for his wellbeing. it might or might not be true to say he was suicidal but he sure was having a rough time and there was a real element, in other people's description of his behaviour and speech afterwards, of wanting to quit/end/run away from everything

#poor lad was Goin Through It #communiques #he also one time entirely unprompted said 'i wasn't suicidal or anything!' about it #but in that sort of way that smacked a little of protesting too much/deflecting #aka a tactic he uses a LOT (with varying results lol) when anyone gets too close to touching on one of his tender subjects #but he's a peppy fella by nature and seemed to bounce back p fast either way #not sleeping for three days will do shit to a bitch <3
