Funnily enough if someone had told Blaise that he would eventually fall for one half of the whimsical duo and that is you and Luna Lovegood, he would’ve told that person they were off their rocker. When Luna had sat down with his group of friends at breakfast the day after sorting, everyone had a curious tilt in their little eleven year old eyebrows. Draco had slumped his round cheek against his fist while explaining, “Mum told me I had to be nice to her since she’s family.” 

The group had nodded in general understanding that Draco had been referencing Luna, her platinum blonde hair essentially matching his own. Mattheo gave the girl a smirking grin, “I’m always nice to her, aren’t I Lunes? I’m your favorite cousin.” Luna smiled blissfully sweet back at him, “While I do enjoy your presence, Matty, I would prefer that at school you do not set fire to my things if that’s okay.” Mattheo gave a toothy grin as he held out his smallest finger, “Pinky promise.” (He broke that promise by third year but he swears it was accidental)

Theo was the first one to actually point you out, “They both you boys’ cousins?” Blaise had spent enough time at the Malfoy manor in his youth to know that you weren’t related but Draco looked in your direction and answered, “Dunno the other one, she just came when Lune did. Think they’re like a pair or something.” He shrugged his shoulders, going back to fill his plate. Luna took to introducing you to the group, her voice soft and airy even at this young age. You waved a small hand in their direction, a bright aura glowing around you, or at least that’s what it appeared like in Blaise’s young mind. 

Luna informed the group that you had been sorted to her house and had sat next to her in the great hall afterwards during last night's meal, “She complimented my earrings, so I had to wear them again today.” Luna brushed her hair behind her ears showing off the radish shaped jewelry. You nodded at her explanation, “They’re rather dashing, don’t you guys think?” Your voice had a similar airy tone to Luna’s but a little hint of something else that Blaise couldn’t quite put his finger on. Nonetheless the boys all politely nodded, a young Enzo responding, “You mean they’re rather radishing?” He slapped the table as he started laughing hysterically.

When no one else started laughing he rolled his eyes, “Cmon, seriously no one?” You gave him an encouraging smile, “The delivery was quite good but the joke was not, I’m afraid.” Now this, this caused everyone to laugh, which only caused Enzo to pout. Even Blaise seemed to laugh despite the serious demeanor he was trying to keep. That was the first real effect you had on Blaise, and you weren’t even trying. You never really tried.  

Over the next several years Blaise had seen you in passing. As you both got older you started to form your own friend groups. Well, Blaise continued with the rest of the boys while you and Luna formed your own group. In passing you were always polite to him, even though he never really acknowledged you. It wasn’t to be rude, it was just the facade that Blaise had adopted in his clique. Broody, silent type. That’s how everyone knew Blaise. Quiet, in the background, only speaking when spoken to or to absolutely silence someone being an idiot (frequently Theo). 

When Professor Bins had partnered you together for a project, the rest of the boys told him how sorry they were for him. “Whaddya mean?” Blaise wasn’t quite concerned with being partnered with you. You and him were, friendly he supposed. And he knew you were incredibly smart so he wasn’t worried about his grade falling with you as a partner. Seeing his confused look Enzo spoke up, “We mean because you got stuck with with Loopy.” Blaise’s face must have shown his confusion because Theo jumped in, “You know, Looney and Loopy.” 

“Hey, watch it,” Malfoy quipped. Theo raised his hands, “Hey, you know we don’t call her that, besides her friend seems a little worse for wear than she does.” Blaise scoffed, “If we’re talking about worse for wear none of you have place to talk.” Blaise readjusted his bag over his shoulder, “You guys are a bunch of gits, I’ll see you later.” He stalked off, leaving his friends behind as he ventured towards the library to meet you. When he made it through the thick double doors the overwhelming smell of musk and old books flooded his senses. 

Blaise actually loved the library. He loves the old books, the dark academia atmosphere, and the quietness from the absence of his friends who rarely, if ever, stepped foot in the space. In truth Blaise was pretty sure the only way any of them would even know where the library was is if they followed him to the location. 

Taking a deep breath in, Blaise scanned across the viewable tables. Not seeing your form he figured he beat you to the library, so he ventured off to his favorite spot farther in the back. He liked this particular space because it was (1) harder to find and (2) no one usually bothered him there. Rounding one of the bookcases he halted abruptly when he saw none other than you sitting at his table. “W-What are you doing here?” his voice sounded almost squeaky, causing him to clear his throat. 

You looked up from your textbook with a smile, and there was that glow again. A low shining hum that seemed to radiate around you since Blaise first saw you all those years ago. And then it hit him, a visceral punch to his gut, a raging swarm of butterflies overtaking him. All those times he felt his cheeks heat when you said hello to him. That weird feelings of happiness when you two ended up having a class together. The raging anger he had when the boys were seemingly making fun of you earlier. He fucking liked you. Oh gods, he was fucked. You glowed to him. 

He sat down at the table, missing your answer to his earlier question and blowing right past it to get his materials out. He was so hyper fixated on not freaking out, he seemed to be ignoring you on accident. Only when he heard your soft laugh did he look up. “M’sorry did you say something?” You smiled sweetly, eyes soft and kind as you looked at him. Blaise could feel his body temperature rising under your gaze, pulling his tie loose so he could feel like he could breathe again.

You smiled even bigger, biting slightly on your bottom lip. Fucking Salazar she’s trying to kill me, Blaise shook his head slightly, focusing back on you as you started to speak again. “I asked if you wanted to go to Hogsmead with me this weekend.” Blaise’s jaw slacked slightly, “Wha-, erm, sorry, you’re asking me out?” You laughed again, “I figured it was time, I’ve been crushing on you forever and Lunes told me to just be bold with it, no matter how loopy it seemed.” 

Blaise seemed to choke on nothing, having a slight coughing fit before recovering, “You, erm, know about that?” You grinned, and Blaise told himself he’d never grow tired of seeing it on your face, “Do I know that people call me and luna Looney and Loopy? I’m not daft, B. We decided to just embrace it after second year.” Blaise nodded, cheeks heating slightly. “So, do you have an answer, or will I be going by myself?” Blaise did his best to control his stammering, “I, erm, y-yes.” 

You raised an eyebrow, “Yes I’ll be going by myself?” Blaise let out a long sigh as he rubbed his hands over his face, “Bloody hell, Zabini get yourself together. No, I mean, gods, I meant yes I’ll go with you this weekend. I would actually love to go with you.” You bit your bottom lip again to contain the growing smile, “Perfect.” And Blaise was sure of it, that if he wasn’t already, he was going to fall in love.

I love writing platonic because it’s so underrated and there are so many potential dynamics! Like parental, friendship, sibling!! It’s so good

Also I know right? For a show all about platonic relationships there are barely any platonic stuff! I a sense I get it, I’m a simple simp as well (for ace and now Sabo too lol) but cmon! Sometimes I need a character to be my bff or sibling figure!. I want more exploration of these characters of how they’d treat someone they see as family and how that differs from them seeing someone as a romantic figure. Like how would law react to someone who he sees as a younger sibling? Would he be more distant because of what happened with Lami? Or because of her would he be more protective of them due to the fear of losing her another younger sibling? But that’s just me tho lol

Also be prepared for angst I have a whole lot prepared for y/n and everyone in their vicinity lol. Half of one piece with y/n is either pain and the most heartbreaking devastating grief known to man that this poor child hides away as a trauma response over all the years they’ve been alive and alone or “lol yeah forgot that this island was infested with giant man-eating spiders. At 93 notes, we have my baby, "Shattered"!!! "Shattered" ended up becoming a mini-passion project for me (clearly). What was meant to be a mid-sized blurb ended up progressing to 10k words - how that happened is beyond me. Everytime I thought I was done and ready to close up and conclude, there'd be another part, another bit that I'd want to add. It even got to a point where I'd be on my bus home from work or college, almost falling asleep when I'd get woken up with more inspo, lol. It was my first time writing angst in a very, very, very long time but looking back now, I really truly enjoyed it and I'm quite proud of it! Maybe more angst reqs in my future? I’m leaning towards YES

IN 4TH PLACE:

lyrics lyrics lyrics is all I can say guys. maybe don’t listen to them too deeply, but off of the surface vibes we get religion, fame and the contrast of the two. we all know Chunkz takes his religion seriously, to the point where he gave up music, and we all know he is considered a very successful individual. so connecting the two, he probably does have a hard time balancing them which only makes sense because usually religion is more ab the spiritual world rather than the material. additionally the main chorus is lively tuneful but still sounds kind of mature (u get me guys? I’m gonna be so real and honest with you, the Tiffany and Chucky post was originally Bartylus but then I was like ‘no, no one’s gonna see it and they’re all gonna say rosekiller 😔’ so you definitely get it like no else anon

As for other other couple besides Billy and Stu (because I will fight until I die that that’s Bartylus and not just rosekiller, Barty is too Stu coded for it not to be), I don’t really watch anything but horror movies so I could definitely name a few! (Though I watch a lot of cheesy slashers that don’t really have a lot of characters so this is really just a fight to remember anything I’ve seen that has romance in it lmao)

Number one, and kind of not related to brief but still important to me, I can definitely see Barty as Harry Warden from My Bloody Valentine (the og or the remake honestly, the only time both were good) ((also an underrated fave of mine <3)) With how (spoilers) the killer actually isn’t Harry and is just one of the mc’s who got like a Harry Warden DID alter and started killing people and then forgot he did and was just as panicked as everyone else is very him post imperio to me. ‘Harry’ doesn’t really have a love interest in the movie, but the mc pretending to be him is in a love triangle with the final girl and another guy so you could view that as like the Bartylus vs Jegulus thing everyone enjoys so much (but Bartylus sadly loses at the end if you view it that way because they do not kiss 😔😔)

And for an actual couple I have to bring up the older couple from Dolls as an even more niche pick. That movie’s about a little girl and her family who hates her and a few other people staying at an old couple’s house for the night because of a storm and their house is filled with hundreds of dolls that are (surprise) alive and start killing people but they spare the little girl and this other guy that was helping her because of like the power of your inner child or whatever and the older couple are pretty much all the dolls’ parents and the movie ends with the little girl genuinely loving the dolls and the couple a lot and wanting to see them again soon and the couple smiles at her and tells her she’s always welcome and like fucking tell me that isn’t Bartylus when they’re older cmon now!!

Ugh and then I couldn’t just not mention Eyes Without A Face, because oml Christianne is beyond regulus coded. Her father is a surgeon who gets her into a car accident that ruins her face so he kidnaps girls to surgically remove their faces and try to give her a new one but he had to frame her death for it so they could get away with the murders and stuff, but she has no hope at all that the surgeries will work and says multiple times she’s terrified of herself and just wants to die. Also she has a fiancé that thinks she’s dead that she calls to just hear his voice because if she spoke over the line he’d know she was alive, so she literally just stays silent on the line until he hangs up. Until one day she whispers his name literally once and he recognizes her immediately and goes to the police proclaiming she’s alive and TELL ME THATS NOT THEM BECAUSE IF YOU DO YOURE LYING.

And this one’s not a movie but the Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde Gothic Horror Musical is one of my favorite musicals ever and I would be willing ti argue that Barty could be seen as both Jekyll (brilliant scientist that’s seen as a delusional, sinful visionary) and Hyde (genuinely off putting and creepy man who lives for only what he desires and doesn’t know shame but does know vindication) AND I could further argue that Regulus could be seen as both Emma (Jekyll’s fiancé who’s father is the judge that ruled his research inhumane and didn’t allow him a human test subject for it, which she she feels awful about since she knows how much it matter to her soon to be husband, also there’s a whole song about the town’s opinion on their marriage and pretty much everyone agrees that Emma marrying a doctor like Jekyll rather than an heir is naive and shameful on her part, probably how the pureblood society would view Bartylus tbh) and Lucy (the hooker that Hyde is attracted to and seeks out almost immediately upon gaining control of the body he shares with Hyde, she has a whole song about how she views men as a past time and pretty much a snack to hold her over in life and that feels akin to how regulus views people to me) so I think it’s perfect because like two halves that aren’t supposed to match, yet both halves love each other?? Just say you’re meant to be and just say you’re Bartylus at that point.

And while we’re on the subject of horror but not movies because I got off track, let’s stay off track and let me bring up Victor Frankenstein and Robert Walton. I’m convinced they’re the og toxic yaoi. And they’re Bartylus because: do I have to explain how regulus is Frankenstein? (They’re frail Victorian boys with practically delusional ideals for the work that they’ve admired their whole lives and then threw themselves into only ti discover they were misinformed and then send themselves into their own demise trying to prove their original ideals through an impossible mission, also they’re dramatically tortured poets who are gay as hell) and then Barty as Walton, I will defend to you now. Walton is a an explorer, he’s a free spirit who wants to find something new and above that he just wants to be out there searching. He’s implied to be wealthy yet doesn’t have a family besides his sister which is strange for the time, meaning he actively chose a different life style that most higher class people look down upon. Tell me that’s not Barty in that setting. And then you bring in when Walton meets Frankenstein and he practically falls in love at first sight? He’s tending to this complete stranger just to hear him speak, then gushes to his sister about how he’s tragically beautiful and he speaks so eloquently and he wishes he could just soothe all his problems and take that suffering from him but in the end there’s nothing he can do and Frankenstein dies cold no matter how hard Walton tried to warm him (just like canon compliant Bartylus with their school years and then regulus dying at seventeen)

And speaking of Barty paralleling sailors, let’s talk Sweeney Todd. Saying Mrs. Lovette and Todd are Bartylus is wrong because Todd doesn’t loved her back and unrequited bartylus is tired. Yknow what isn’t tired? Fairytale, angst with a happy ending, sweet, non toxic Bartylus! And yknow which couple has that? Joanna and Anthony! Joanna as regulus (the locked away beauty with a ghostly aura of tragedy practically bred into their flesh) and Anthony as Barty (another sailor who takes one look at their soulmate and their breath is taken away, only Anthony succeeds in saving Joanna and they make it out alive this time.)

And I can only fit one more picture so let’s come out of left field and throw in a horror game. Resident Evil: Village, you love to see it in the year 2024. Karl Heisenberg and Donna Beneviento are my favorite characters from the game because Donna’s mechanics are the best and Karl’s voice actor is awesome but here’s why they’re Bartylus (also I should mention that I don’t subscribe to idea that they’re siblings obviously, they were just kidnapped by the same cult which is not the same thing like some people seem to think??) so Regulus is Donna because come on, creepy doll maker in the hills/woods that wears all black and shrouds their face behind a veil and has extreme,h concerning experimental horrors in the basement of their creepy cottage? That’s literally him, what are you talking about. And then Karl as Barty makes sense to me because they’re both vulgar and brash, but incredibly intelligent and forward thinking in their schemes and also a core part of both their characters is disobeying their father/‘mother.’ And as for why they’re Bartylus since they don’t even talk in canon, I ship Donna and Karl anyway and their fics on ao3 read very bartylus to me.

A Little Of Cheering Up From Hobie Brown ! ☆

You’ve been a spider for a while at this point, about a year, meaning your cannon event had already happened. No matter how many days or months passed you were still blocked in the past, still missing everybody that you had lost because of it.

Not too long after becoming a spider though, you started talking to this guy named Hobie Brown. A British punk who loves to talk and joke around with you. He’s with you almost everywhere you are just to hang out with you more. You guys were best friends! well..Hobie thought differently.

not too long after talking to you, he knew then and there he liked- no. loved you. You were just so full of energy and you guys practically liked the same thing. How could he not? You were perfect in his eyes.

One day once you had woken up and started to brush your teeth to get ready for the day, all the memories of your loved ones you lost in your cannon event started to flood in and before you knew it- tears started to flow down your cheeks. You finished up brushing your teeth before setting your toothbrush down and walking back to your bed to continue to cry.

You stayed in your bed crying like that all day long. You didn’t go to the spider society or even answer any calls or messages you may have gotten.

Even hobies.

This rubbed him the wrong way and got a gut feeling to check up on you. He would rather be yelled at for barging in your home then get a message that something bad has happened to you.

He tapped a few buttons on his watch, opening a portal to your dimension. He walked through and stepped on a random building before soon swinging from structure to structure, finding his way to your apartment.

Once he landed on the fire escape, like always, your window was open. Hed normally make a fuss about it but this but this time, he was actually relieved it was open. It was just easier to get in like this.

Hobie slowly started to open it before jumping through the window and taking his mask off with one hand as the other gently closed your window. He looked up and saw your shifting form covered in pounds of blankets before your head popped out of it to see who or what just closed your window.

“..Hobie?”

you muttered as one of your hands came up to your cheeks to wipe away some of the tears still left over.

“Hey luv, I jus’ came ‘ere to see if you were alrigh’ cuz I did’nt see you a’ the socie’y and you ‘avent answer anybody.”

He spoke softly before sitting at the edge of your bed next to you with a small smile on his lips, happy you were safe before noticing your slight red eyes in the dim lighting.

“Are you alrigh’?”

Hobie asks all concerned before shifting his face closer to yours to get a better look, his eyebrows slightly scrunching and his heart aching at the sight. He placed his hand on your knee as his smile from earlier started to slowly fade into a slight frown.

“..yeah, yeah ‘m fine.”

You respond back with a pitiful voice, your gaze shifting away from his.

“I know you’re no’, luv. Cmon..tell me wha’s up. I’ll listen.”

The corner of his lips started to shift upwards slightly as his face stayed close to yours, his thumb drawing circles on your knee.

Your lips quivered as you continued to look away from hobies eyes before taking a shaky breath and spilling everything to him. All the loved ones you had lost in your cannon event, how bad you still missed them and how you just couldn’t move on from them. You loved them too much to do so.

Hobie just sat there, listening along. He didn’t dare say a word before he knew you were completely done. You shedded a lot of tears as you told him your issue, so before you were almost done he put one of his hand behind your head and moved it towards his chest then wrapping his long arms around you. He rested his chin on top of your head and told you that everything was going to be okay while he swayed you slightly as you continued to cry and clutch onto his shirt like it was a lifeline.

Hobe just sat there hugging for for a while before moving away slightly and looking at your face, his smile coming back before his hands went to your cheeks to wipe your tears away.

“Hey. Cmon, let go, yeah? Well have a lil feil’ trip.”

He stood up from your bed before reaching his hand out for you to take so he could pull you up from your bed and swing around your dimension.

You didn’t want to go. All you wanted was to stay in bed crying and rotting away, but the smile on his lips and the look in his eyes just made you reach your hand out and hold his.

“There you go. Get your spider suit on and lets go now, hmm?”

His smile still present on his lips as he walked over to your closet, taking out your spider shit before handing it to you. After a moment of looking at it and back at him, you grabbed it making Hobie happy you agreed.

Hobie turned around with his hands shoved in the pockets of his vest whilst you change from your at home clothes to your suit to give you a bit of privacy. Once you had finished he turned around and looked you up and down before meeting your gaze.

“Lookin’ good as eva.”

He grinned before removing one of his hands from his pocket and messing your hair up a bit, earning a groan from you as you tried to remove his hand away from your hair. This just made Hobie snicker at your response before grabbing your wrist and head to your window, opening it up and help you jump through it as you both stood on your fire escape.

You guys then started to swing from building to building through your city with hobie doing some tricks here and there before looking back at you, even with the mask on you just knew he was smirking at you as if he was challenging you. You hummed with a brown raised before doing some tricks of your own like doing a backflip mid-air then letting yourself fall super close to the ground before shooting a web at some random billboard just in time before your body could hit the ground.

This, of course, made hobies heart drop to his stomach. His eyes on his mask winded when he saw you almost hit the ground before sighing a relief once you shot your web. He looked back over at you with his head shaking as a chuckle left his lips.

You guys just swung around your dimension visiting random places both of you could find, going to your favorite places, exploring, stealing stuff..

It was just all fun!

Lastly, to end the night, you guys sat shoulder to shoulder on a rooftop of some random skyscraper. You two had the perfect view of your city, the sky changing colors from a pink fading into orange to a deep blue since it was almost night time. While you both sat there, you guys were talking about whatever came to mind as you ate food Hobie bought from your favorite deli.

“You see? The people you lost in your cannon even’, you’ll miss ‘em sure, but you’ll always remember ‘em. Can’t jus’ always hold onto the past, luv. There’s always somethin’ to look forward to, like all that fun we had earlier. Am I right?”

He asked with a smirk with his face just inches from yours with his hand finding your knee once more, his thumb drawing lines on it.

You looked down at the streets filled with cars before letting out a sigh.

“..yeah, you’re right.”

You responded, a smile finding its way to your lips when you looked back at Hobie. You two just sat there, looking into each others eyes for what felt like forever before his face started to move closer to yours. He glanced down at your lips before wetting his lips with his tongue.

Then soon enough, you felt his pierced lips on yours.

The hand that was on your knee was now holding your chin to bring your face impossibly closer. The more the kiss continued, the more it progressed. Your tongues exploded each others mouths when one of your hands coming up to hold his cheek.

After a good minute or so you both reluctantly pulled away with Hobie cursing out the human bodys need of oxygen. He smiled as he placed his forehead on yours while whispering an

“I love you.”

“I love you too, Hobart.”

You responded, your words being laced with a giggle with Hobie squinting his eyes at you and his eyebrow raising.

“Oi shut up you pillock.”

Hobie chuckled after a moment before his lips crashed with yours once more.

Moon Knight

Moon Knight is an underrated character who's been around since the mid-70's, but has only recently gotten the more attention he deserves since the Disney+ adaptation. However, I am a firm comics supremacy believer and can attest he is even cooler in the comics. The current run (Moon Knight 2021) is the best he's been written in quite some time for example, as it's friendly to veteran fans and new fans alike!

Moon Knight is not your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man; he will fuck you up if you deserve it, and benefits from the fact that many villains are terrified of him.

Moon Knight is canonically Jewish, and though he is non-practising, it plays a major part in his story and identity.

It's also worth noting that Moon Knight has DID, with three identities: Marc Spector (host), Steven Grant, and Jake Lockley.

He's such an interesting and compelling character. The comics have spawned countless hilarious memes (I know you're here Dracula you big nerd wheres my money; random bullshit go; etc). The show was amazing, and Oscar Isaac acted his ass off

One of the most unique superheroes out there due to being plural. Really cool, too.

Also he's just a little guy. Just a little boy. Too pure for this world. They're just a little guy who just wants to make friends and have fun. They've been subjected to far too much trauma and they're like, seven or something, they deserve something nice, they deserve to win the tourney, cmon guys just look at him he's so silly and pure

They are from an unknown species from outer space and described as a “child from the stars.” Their design is based on the duality of sun and moon, although it feels most similar to the moon. It looks as if each member of his species is based on a celestial things like planets and the sun.

His magic is celestial-based, often looking like stars. His first and second appearances literally show the (quarter and crescent respectively) moon as his face. There’s an entire post about Russian celestial (including the moon) symbolism about them but I can’t find it 😭

5. What is the most overrated Beatles song by Tumblr users specifically?

I'm gonna say Don't Let Me Down because it combines two things: being Not That Good, Cmon Guys and being mainly talked about as a song in the context of tinhatting. That being said, I haven't seen people talk about it much lately. This fandom overhypes Here, There And Everywhere as a McLennon song (which… is a really weak theory IMO) but it is a good song that's fun to analyse with a cool melody… which makes it almost UNDERrated, since people are so backhanded they don't genuinely think John could love this song without it being about him 😭😭😭😭😭 (Also, where have all the In My Life stans gone?)

10. If you were going to blame a single person for the Beatles' break-up, who would it be?

At this point, I'm blaming John lol. that doesn't mean I think he did Everything Wrong, I just think it makes the most sense to blame him.
