@convxction sent: Chrom passes by and the chances to encounter this is like making Gaius cut on sweets--ridiculously impossible. Yet, here he is. He passed by where Tharja was collecting some ingredients (naga only knows what) when he heard her humming to herself. Oh, he is going to be killed, isn't he? Would it be too late to retrace his steps back and pretend this didn't happen?
He will try. At least, it is better to directly face her. The lord took a step to the back and because bad luck does come in three, he stepped over his cape, making him lose his balance and find himself falling on his back. Mission ... not very successful. She is definitely now aware of him. "On my honor I was not sneaking up on you or anything!" He raised his arms in defence, flailing in front of his face. "Believe me! Listen, I didn't hear much and by naga's name i will stay my tongue of this. I don't even remember what just happened. .. mercy?"
Spending the majority of her life in a comparatively arid climate, access to certain fungi and reagents were difficult to come by for Tharja. Outside of bartering and trades (troublesome socializing) (people were often idiots) there was little to no recourse for the dark mage. This is an opportunity. She would not be missing it.
"Hehehehe~ it's good we'll be stopping here for a few days. I can make use of this time. Healthy alewart and look at the size of these... hm hmm... hmhmhmhm~" A song from a distant memory is recited under her breath as she works. Dark hair swaying as she turns this way and that, enthusiastically tracking down more plants and mushrooms to add to her pack.
"And what could~ I make with you~" Potions for the army were boring. Imagine a concoction that would be able to-- CRASH!!!
Chrom's entrance is as elegant as ever, which is to say- not at all. How he leads this group is fortunately carried by that strange charisma rather than fantastic shows of dexterity. He speaks, but she's barely listening to excuses. With a crack, her head twists hauntingly on her neck to glare at him with the foulest intent.
"Chrom...."
"No. That you will not. Not to anyone. Not to anything. Ever."
HEX!!!! HEX!!!! SILENCE!!!! FORGET!!!!!
Mercy is not here. He'll be lucky he can breathe by the time these start to wear off. But. At least he's not dead? Small mercy. Tharja took away the memory, maybe a bit too broadly. Why was he wandering in the woods again...? That's his problem for now. Tharja's is getting over the embarrassment of being witnessed and scuttling away with the finds she'd procured.

“They gave me runway in this film. There’s one monologue in there. I can’t tell you the details of it. I say more words in that monologue than I said in an entire movie once as Wolverine. But there are sides of the character that I’ve been scratching at for 24 years […] There is stuff in this movie where I was like, ‘This is the thing I’ve been trying to get out’ and I feel so excited about it.”

I love it when philosophers start talking about angels because it’s basically all bullshit (I’m throwing shade at Saint Augustine)

sometimes you will spend 30 minutes thinking about a character and you will expect to have something coherent to say by the end of that time but the best you can come up with is "they are sooooooo shaped they are so silly i love my blorbo"

okay but I actually do really wanna read about a situation where Bruce calls Aquaman in to the Cave to interrogate a fish from Gotham Harbor who was a possible witness in one of his investigations.
Arthur rocks up, squints at the fish, and then says “You know I can’t talk to fish, right? I just made that shit up when Barry asked me.”
Bruce:
Arthur:
Bruce:
Arthur: “Okay you got me, I’m just fucking with you, man. He said he saw your perp going north in a speedboat, twin engines, didn’t stop for a while.”
Bruce:
Arthur: “And also he likes your filtration system a lot.”
