Just an 11 year old pissed off at the world it seems😭

#insane he ended up being so happy go lucky in canon #like in the art book they talk about the character shift dewey had once ben auditioned #and he made them realize they could take a more comedic approach with him #but initially dewey’s character seemed very negative and irritable #they had the label ‘the bad boy’ of the 3 on him for a bit too #bc of the massive chip on his shoulder and how unsatisfied he was at the time #and tbh you can see bits of that in the pilot #dewey’s character and overall demeanor is very different in the first two eps of s1 #i LOVE my boy as the bright impulsive ball of sunshine and danger that he is #but this original pitch of him intrigues me a lot #like i can talk about pitch!dewey for hours bc #kinda feels like wasted potential idk LMAO #bc he didn’t entirely disappear at least in s1 so #just a lot of dewey thoughts #bc that’s my boy🫶#ducktales #ducktales 2017 #dewey duck

me: i finished the latest trailblaze mission in hsr so i can look at what other people are posting now! oh boy i hope it's discussions and theories about the story. i can't wait to see what everyone thought about firefly (what was going on with you sweetie...) and A Child's Dream - that segment in particular really left a profound impact on me. like who is mikhail? the voice we hear throughout is obviously misha's - did he have a twin? does mikhail have something to do with clockie? and from what we heard and saw, misha or... mikhail. encountered the embodiment of Death that lurks beneath the dreamscape. what's... the full story there...? i can't wait to see other people's perspectives it'll help me piece a more coherent theory together-

#thankfully all i do is make comics and i can do whatever i want as long as i can justify the narrative beat #otherwise id be. ough. id be tempted to write a 600 page biography on him attempting to unravel this #B.A. Marshall mentioning Rawson's article on Crassus that initially intrigued me about him and he counters her assertion #that pompey overshadowed him with the triumph in a footnote like in a way we have come full circle #everyone collectively agrees that pompey and crassus were not the rivals that a lot of people seem to think they were #so im glad that we're all shaking hands on that. and that the rivalry they did have was just. the usual kind expected from the political #scene. very fun! for narrative purposes i will continue to make them periodically bite each other #because every time someone goes 'oh yeah they were heirs to sulla' i think im going to lose my mind #it does in some ways make their repeated alliance a little unsettling tho. like. haha ha ehgh. now we have to contend with #other kinds of parallels

I keep thinking that this Gojo is just like Sukuna. I truly don't see much of a difference between them beyond the human/curse point of view

#If not Sukuna then some other more palatable special degree curses like the one he just killed that talked about the new humanity #It truly looks like that I don't know #Trying to be unbiased about the pretty concepts I take personally #and trying to ignore the silly fact that Sukuna's domain is literally called temple of evil or something (makes one want to ask #so many things like why the hell does he call it such? isn't evil good for you? Isn't a species kind of thing?#Why are you adhering to human notions and conceptualisations if you seem so beyond them and think nothing of them?)#Gojo is quite terrifying from a curse point of view. He is cruel and merciless. He can't be reasoned with and he is playful. He has his fun #His powers are not much different in structure from those of a curse and he said that the power capacity of a sorcerer comes from birth #So it's ontological. It's not just skill. It's an essential differentiation. Just like curses #It's just... I don't know. It's almost as if he were a curse himself. He talks about emotions being the source of curses?#Maybe that's the difference? Was Sukuna born that way too?#I don't know. I keep thinking that he is quite idk monstrous in a very Sukuna way. He isn't terrible like Sukuna is like with the kids #But he is human after all. He does adhere to human categories. Sukuna is something else #And yet Gojo uses the kids. He draws lines and he is caring and gentle and sweet in his way #but he very much uses the kids and is a bit flippant about it. And he is human #I don't know. It seems completely intentional this similarity between Gojo and the curses and Gojo and Sukuna in particular #Sukuna seems interested in Megumi while Gojo seems interested in Itadori and idk I just keep thinking #but I'm not even know about what or how #I find this man very hard to trust haha the parallels are intriguing #I think this piece of worldbuilding has potential as well as their characterisations #I hope the author will do something with all this #I talk too much #Jujutsu Kaisen #Gojo Satoru #Sukuna

Watching Wayward Pines for potential ST5 inspo bc the Duffers wrote a couple episodes in s1, and when I got to their second (last) episode and their name crossed the screen, I noticed a visual parallel that might already exist on the show…

Recognize it??

It instantly reminded me of that last shot for the opening of s3, with the landscape peaking out behind the Russian base. But when I went back and actually compared the two, holy shit it’s near identical, and not just the landscape.

I didn’t even remember the helicopter being there on the left, not to mention the pillar-esaue contraption at the center. Like… they’re the same picture.!

With them being credited right at that moment, it’s obvious this was an intentional nod to their previous work.

I just thought it was cool so I wanted to share, but in terms of my watch overall, there is a LOT going on that they could pull from. I’m only halfway through s1, though I’ve heard the show goes downhill in s2 so we’ll see how that goes 😂

#byler #stranger things #wayward pines #st inspo #st5 predictions #spoilers I guess?#matt dillon is a secret service agent and when fellow agents go missing #he goes to find them and ends up in an accident himself #and wakes up in wayward pines #and no matter what he does he can’t reach anyone on the outside nor leave #people around him seem to be playing along with this sort of Truman show lifestyle of pretending everything is fine #then he runs into one of the agents who went missing also his ex-mistres #carla gugino my beloved #and she’s also playing along #bc they kind of have to otherwise they will be killed #little does Matt Dillon know his wife and kid on the outside are worried because he went missing #they go looking for him and end up in wayward pines too #wayward pines is actually really chill in retrospect bc you get a free house when you arrive #but the whole being trapped and not explained what’s going on and treated like your crazy part makes it hard to see the positives #and just when you think this whole town is an experiment #it is!!#but also not because they have any other choice really #turns out humans devolved into this creature referred to as abbies and they basically take over the world killing everything in sight #a scientist predicted this and managed to launch an experiment where he basically kidnapped a bunch of people and froze them from aging #to live safely in the future over 2000 years later in this confined town #where very few know the truth #the town being an experiment aspect intrigues me in terms of all the surveillance in Hawkins…#also random but the main kid on the show has an uncanny resemblance to the duffers despite no relation and it’s freaky 😂
