He could feel the hairs on his neck practically stand when he looked around. It was Zaun, yes, but it was oh so different. And not in a way that it had gotten worse or had different people in it. No, it was better, cleaner, brighter.

Ekko was definitely not supposed to be here, but he was, and he was damn sure that he just saw one of the dead firelights walk around.

He had his book out with drawings of the Arcane out, pencil markings of the circular ball of magic spreading multiple times over the span of a page. He wasn't even sure if it was his own hand drawing them. His hands were so clean and more fresh looking than his own back in his original universe, not to mention the green suit he was wearing. Definitely not something he could be caught wearing back home.

His leg bounced nervously, watching carefully with his surroundings, but mostly Vander and Benzo. oh Benzo, it he could hug him again he would, and again and again. the old man was like a father figure to him basically, and the fact that the was alive here made him feel sick and jealous. jealous of the world that could've been his but wasn't.

it was until Powder snapped him out of his thoughts again, her pale fingers snapping in front of his face. He looked at her with wide eyes, it was like he didn't even recognize her.

"Hey, spaceboy, I'm not talking to myself over here."

Ekko couldn't help but look back down at his book and look back at her, straightening his composure.

"What is up with you? You've been out of it all day."

"... I feel like, I woke in the wrong universe."

Ekko glanced at his book again, the mindless drawing of the Arcane roughly drawn over words that he couldn't care less to read right now.

"This is what happens when you stay up all night. Those synapses start firing around like drunk slugs."

Powder said jokingly, but Ekko looked back at Vander and Benzo, who were talking amongst themselves at the bar. Vander leaning over behind it and Benzo sitting in one of the seats.

"there's still plenty of time before the competition, okay? Plus, toots will help us work out the kinks. we've got you."

Powder put out her hand reassuringly on Ekko's forearm, but Ekko flinched away, still under the haze and shock of what was happening to him right now. Could it be the sickest and worst nightmare he was having right now? Or was it actually happening. He couldn't tell the difference.

A cup that was next to Powder tilted over from the sudden flinch, spilling over onto the table. Ekko put his hand to his head as a weird headache came on, making him feel woozy and dizzy. Powder looked at Ekko almost weirded out and confused. Her brows furrowed down in thought before she picked up the cup.

"Ah, if it isn't Zaun's royalties. My liege"

Powder watched Ekko as he stood up with a shocked expression on his face, keeping his eyes on the owner of the voice and the people around them.

The owner of the voice was from Mylo, and the right of him was Claggor. They looked different. Mylo had grown facial hair and Claggor was even larger than before, now practically Vander's height if not shorter. It wasn't until Ekko looked at the (h/c) girl when his heart almost stopped. It was (Reader), his closest best friend and co-leader of the Firelights. She looked different, a good different.

She looked healthier, cleaner, and livelier, almost like she had never fought anyone before physically, at least. You looked like how he would want you to be if you had never gotten into the mess you had called life back home.

Powder shook her head and chuckled at Mylo's teasing before nodded down to the chairs next to her.

"Sit down."

"Hey, hey, little man. Trouble in paradise?"

Claggor moved to the seat nearest to the wall that the table was tall table was next to. Ekko watches him in disbelief, watching as Mylo sat down as well, before looking at you.

"Just the usual project woes."

"Tell me about it."

Claggor said sarcastically before you chimed in.

"I'll be able to help tonight before the competition like I said I would. I'll also bring extra coffee this time."

you joked, thinking about the last time you helped the duo and ended up passing out with either limbs or heads laying on each other before the night was over.

Claggor explained the problems with his machine to the group as you stood behind Ekko and Powder, putting one hand on Powder's shoulder and moved your other hand to do the same with Ekko's before Powder stopped you. You gave her a confused look and she shrugged, mumbling something about how Ekko was a little jumpy today.

It was a little bit before the Inventors Competition too, so it was probably just jitters before the big thing if the gadget that Powder and Ekko had been working on if it would work or not. You could understand that.

Everyone looked at Mylo as he brushed back his eyebrows, giving knowing looks and head shakes. Everyone in the group knew of Mylo's crush on Gert, if he wasn't so obvious about it enough. Claggor shook his head before looking at Powder.

"I'll be right back."

"Oh no. Go, save him from himself."

Powder nodded, as you gave her a shoulder squeeze, giving her a 'good luck' smile. She gave a thankful one back and took your hand in hers, giving it a squeeze before walking over to where Mylo was making a fool out of himself.

Your gaze looked back at Ekko, looking at him the same, warm way you had done for Powder. He did look really tense today, and something about that didn't set right with you. The look in his eyes just, wasn't him; not really anyway.

Without hesitation, you put a hand on Ekko's shoulder. He flinched away from your touch, as he had with Powder, and looked at you freaked out.

Your hand went back to his shoulder a little more firmer, giving him a worried look.

"Are you alright, Ekko? You're really jumpy today."

You could see the slight movement of Ekko's neck as he gulped, eyes softening but flicking back and forth from you to the table and back. Your hand moved to his back, just where the collar of his suit is, rubbing the area affectionately.

"I'm alright, just tired from staying all night."

He said nervously, referencing what Powder had said to him, but mostly what he mostly caught to in that conversation. He glanced at Powder and Mylo, who were talking to the waitress, probably bugging her or something.

"..just, get some rest before the competition then, yeah? I'm sure you'll be better by then."

And by that, you gave Ekko a kiss on the hairline and walked over to Powder and Mylo to join in on the teasing that was happening; leaving a shocked and surprised Ekko behind.

You and powder ended up working on the gadget as Ekko was with, what was his name... Hemindiger? He was an odd little fellow, quite... whimsical in your opinion. Always going around with smart inventions and his little ukulele.

It hurt a little when Ekko changed plans so quickly, and so close to the competition when there were still some kinks to smooth out. At least Powder was with you, even if it wasn't the same.

You tightened a bolt that had loosened during a test run, turning it around to make sure everything looked good before glancing at Powder. who definitely looked good.

She was currently twirling around a piece of chalk as she stared at the many drawings and words on the chalkboard. Her hair was tied back into french braids with her bangs sprawled put everywhere from her hands running so much through them, but were now mostly gathered to one side of her face, giving it a side bang look.

It looked really good on her.

As if she had some sort of pulling device on you, you slowly got up from your chair and carefully set the gadget down. You crept up behind her and gently wrapped your arms around her torso, placing your chin on her shoulder.

Powder looked at you from the corner of her eye and smiled, leaning her head on yours. The calm silence made you close your eyes, pulling her into you a little bit more.

The creak of some floor boards got your attention, as well as Powder's. You both looked over to the culprit, who was a wide-eyed Ekko.

Was he still shaken up? It's late now. Maybe the competition being so close to ate is messing with him. Sure, he was a sweetheart, and could sassy at times; but he wasn't this bug eyed for this long.

"Hey."

You and Powder both said, dropping your arms around her so you both could walk towards Ekko, a hurt expression still lingered on her face. You looked at her worriedly, then back at Ekko with the same expression.

"What is up with you today? You're still jumpy, and not the usual nervous kind or anything."

"Not to mention this morning."

Ekko's eyes shifted as if he was hiding something, and you were 100% sure he was. You didn't want to push too hard, in case it was something personal, in that case you would understand. But some context clue on what was happening would be good.

"Um,.. it's nothing. I just woke up from a bad dream, I'm just worked up about it still."

Was he nervous because he was lying through his teeth, or was he nervous because that was the truth? You couldn't tell, but you needed to drop it for the sake of getting anything done tonight.

A sigh left your nose as you looked at Ekko, noticing his gaze softening just a bit under yours. A weak smile stretched on your lips as you wrapped your arm around Powder's shoulders and reached out to do the same with Ekko's.

"Come'on, we gotta fix the damn thing before the competition before anyone else becomes more jumpy or stressed."

Ekko didn't flinch away from your touch, but tensed a little, letting you pull him with you to the table along with Powder. A warm feeling washed over his skin, the same feeling of when you would touch him in his home universe, a touch that he hadn't realized he needed in this moment until now.

He wanted to freeze this moment and bathe in the ways of this universe works. The way that you looked better (in a healthier way), and the way that Powder was happier.

Ekko's gaze went to Powder, and caught her gaze. but before she could look away, he gave her a sorry smile, as if to say: 'sorry for this morning'.

Powder gave him a warm smile in return.

In the back if his head, Ekko couldn't help but feel as if that smile was wrong, in a sense. He has seen Powder smile all of the time as kids in his home universe, but when she became Jinx, he hasn't seen a warm smile from her since.

But this, this was nice, Ekko had decided.

And he wouldn't mind staying a little longer here with you and Powder.

Ekko had been ranting about his day, to the second when he gained consciousness in this universe. About how Powder never became Jinx, how Zaun was different. How everything was different.

Hemindiger couldn't help but chuckle, he had been in this universe for how long, and had already went through the shock that Ekko was going through, in different ways of course.

"Well, boy, it's because you're dating."

Ekko's eyes grew wide at the older man's words.

Heat flushed his neck at the thought and cleared his throat. Yeah, he really liked you back home, but dating here? Practically a dream come true almost.

"...Is that so?"

"Quite yes, and you both with Powder as well."

The realization popped up in Ekko's head. You were giving Powder looks that no friend should give to their friend. The same way you looked at him as will her. But it didn't mean his body didn't get warmer at the thought of all three of you dating each other.

Who would've thought that a alternative version of him was getting with both of his dream girls.

But i still wanna try to give some tips that i use (i hope you'll see this post, anon!!!!). Im not really good at explaining things and im not a professional artist but ill try ma best💥

Before I start a new painting, I make a few sketches of exactly what I want to draw. This helps me to find the right composition and color scheme

The environment an object or character is in has a great effect on its color. In the first pic, Spammy looks ok, but if we warm up the colors a bit, it looks like he's really standing in that room. You can also experiment with layer modes to achieve the color u need. Sometimes I crop the main background color over the character and poke layer modes until Im like "this shit looks good, lets go". But ofс you'd better find the colors yourself, it's useful for learning color theory

I also swept the main background color into the reflexes and shadows on the object. Like on this pipis

Buuut you can also use bright contrasting colors. This gives a funky, stylized look to the artwork

And about white color in my arts. I think that there is no pure white color in nature . White color and close to it will always have its unique shade depending on the lighting. So, I prefer to mute the white color in my works.

You can also try filling the area with some color and over paint it with light color, mixing colors together. This is a new technique for me, I usually put colors on the bare sketch, but I like it<)

And also coloring on the sketch layer. I'm not trying to lighten it or anything. It gives a kind of dirty look to the work and a kind of unfinished feeling. I don't like to lick my drawings to a shine. Plus bc of the brush I use, it gives me extra shadows. I prefer to use the standard marker brushes and some brushes I found on clip studio paint assets. These are mostly brushes that mix colors so i use them to add different strokes to my work

if you think miles knows nothing about being goth then be prepared for miguel bc he knows NOTHINGGGG- no music, no history, no political views, zero, zilch, nada, goose egg

if he cares about you i do see him being intrigued about your style, and once you two are officially dating is when he'll show more interest in your personal fashion sense

he strikes me as the type to like, NEVER listen to music, so he literally only listens to the music you like!!! he does find himself occasionally humming the tune of some strawberry switchblade song or casually listening to a siouxsie and the banshees song while he works, and over time you influence him a LOT with your music taste. he definitely associates any and all goth music with YOU, and that's probably why he starts enjoying it.

he's a "hand on you at all times" type of guy, and while he is rarely touchy with others, miguel is definitely keeping you close. your fashion makes that convenient for him, and he loves pulling you into a kiss by grabbing onto your belt loop or something of the sort

Some Murder Deer headcanons

oh nooo please don't get dragged into the deer AU haha... unless...

here's some headcanons & ideas I got while drawing these funky lil' cervidae! enjoy... I guess?!

The Deers in general

They're considered "fawns" until the age of 18 years, then they're "bucks" or "does". A gender neutral term does exist in their species - it's simply "cervi".

Their antlers break in (regardless of biological sex) between 15 and 17 years of age.

Antler size can be inherited, but they're mostly fairly small.

Fawns keep their fawn spots as late as 25 years of age. The longer they persist, the smaller the fawns usually are in "final" height. Uzi's e.g stayed until she was 25 and she's fairly small for her species.

Copper-9 & the Absolute Solver

The entire story sets place on an earth-like exoplanet that - similar to alot of xenofiction (e.g Guardians of Ga'hoole) - has one main race populating the planet (in this case, species of the cervidae family)

The Absolute Solver is an Eldritch Organism that is fascinated by the different kinds of mammals and species on exoplanets, slowly incooperating itself into different planets, imitating their populating species and slowly rotting the planet from the core until it is no more.

On Copper-9 it finds the many cervidae looking creatures, taking on the shape of a musk deer like entity (no antlers, sharp canines, for some reasons wants to devour flesh) - seeing how alot of the main individuals have antlers it develops a secondary obsession with antlers.

The AS incooperates the body of a deceased deer, Cyn, which it found rotting away in a forest. After taking the corpse and making it it's host body it found a small 'family' (herd) of deer which included Tessa, a young doe aged 20 that isn't opposed to welcome new indiviuals into the herd. Her parents however, the leading pair of the herd, do not agree and cast "Cyn"/AS aside.

Intruiged by Tessa's welcoming presence despite the herd's cold aura the AS slowly managed to gain her trust by meeting, playing the role of a young doe lost alone in this world ("Cyn") - and Tessa takes the bait easily.

Long yap session short story, the AS kills Tessa, eats her remains and removes her antlers to fuse them to itself, as well as parts of her fur to appear more like her, hoping it could "become" her in a twisted sense of identity seeking.

The Solvers emblem appears on the "users" forehead and they can use it to regenerate and telepathically carry things around with them. An infected user needs blood to sustain themselves as they'll throw up anything that isn't blood or flesh (for example, the deer on Copper-9 eat a plant based diet).

Solver Users/hosts also grow elongated canines and sharp teeth similar to "Cyn"/AS and it's musk deer body.

The Disassembly Squads

The AS creates the Disassembly "Drones" like it did in the OG story, shaping them after deer. Similar to the OG DDs their true eyes sit on their antlers while the ones in their faces are just to blend in (well... as much as they blend in looking like they do LOL).

The DDs are created from slaughtered members of Tessa's former herd, including N(ari), V(erika) and J(ane).

The DDs also have long canines and eat flesh. They're larger than normal deer and while not capable of flight (lack of wings) they're extremely agile and fast, able to quickly outmaneuver their prey.

N, V and J have fragmented memories of their former lives before being killed and rebuilt which do haunt them. J and V suffer the most from this, N is spared for the most part.

J was Tessa's best friend and almost-partner back before they were all slaughtered, and she still remembers this. "Cyn"/AS promises J to bring back Tessa if she does what it commands of her - trusting it to keep it's word. It doesn't. Doomed Yuri.

J is killed off fairly early by Khan when he chases them out of the forest as he manages to pierce her heart with his antlers, which does kill the DDs - usually alot of deer's antlers are too short, but Khan's cool, so he has very big ones. B)

Uzi & her family

They're now called "Doemans" (yes, you may slap me) - and live in a fairly protected herd away from most dangers in a hidden forest.

Nori was killed by N but returned as ghostly entity. She lost her eye in a battle with "Cyn" but was able to escape before being destroyed - she now serves as some sort of guardian for the Cathedral the humans once inhabited, wearing a cross she found as roseary around her neck; knowing it holds the key to kill the AS.

Khan raised Uzi alone and is the main leader of the herd, thus he's a BADASS in this AU. He won't hesitate to fight N when he tried to kill off Uzi, even being able to chase him off.

Uzi is a late bloomer in regards to her antlers - most fawns get them between the age of 15-17 years, Uzi still hasn't gotten her's at the age of 19 and feels extremely sensitive about this topic. Do not mention it unless you want her to cry internally. She gets mocked over this by some of the fawns in her age range. :'))

Khan doesn't allow Uzi to go outside of the forest's borders until her antlers grow in. She hates this - and sneaks out (only to meet N, V and J - whoops!)

Due to her missing antlers N doesn't really recognize her as prey, so he is friendly until V and J are like "dude that's still a deer?? fucking idiot??" and he's like "but she's so nice to me :'(("

That's when you run, Uzi. And have your dad fight N. And win. Because in this AU he doesn't suck!! >:(

Uzi gets the Solver from her mother like in the OG, where Nori is infected by "Cyn" during their fight. It activates during N's attack on her.

Other people

Doll also has her Solver in this AU! She and her family originate from a different part of Copper-9 and lived with different herds which is why their language differs from those in Khan's herd. They mainly got along by communicating through body language :D

Yeva & Nikolai, her parents, where killed by V when they attempted to leave the forest for food. Doll escaped because V didn't spot the fawn hiding in the tall grass - and this activated Doll's Solver. Ever since she's wandering about alone, trying to find a cure for herself. She also loses her eye in another quarrel later on.

Doll's fate is similar to the OG show with "Cyn" eating her corpse after killing her in a vunerable position.

Lizzy & Thad are also around and they're siblings! They're the first fawns in the herd to tag along with Khan to help and find Uzi. Lizzy is still the chattermouth she is in the show and Thad likes to be active. It's the deer ADHD. Their father is the teacher (who isn't a teacher to be exact in this AU... but something similar B))

★ Moth to a flame Band141!AU part 2

(part 1)

Ghost wasn't very sure why he was suddenly so drawn to the absolutely bonnie young woman on stage, but something about her was like a moth to a flame to him in ways he couldn't really understand.

Maybe it wad the way she seemed absolutely terrified, practically hitching with every step she took on stage in front of rows of (mostly drunken) bar patrons. You'd almost feel sorry for how she was practically shaking like a leaf as the stage manager handed off her own mic and her eyes nervously darted over the crowds with a tremble in her knees.

The lead vocalist, Vixen, didn't seem as amused as the rest though. She subtly took a step back and nudged you with her elbow, snapping you a "Don't fuck up" look that made you swallow thickly. One by one each member of the band got to their respective places, then Vixen's voice pitched into the mic through the speakers. "Thank you all for having us here tonight!" She grinned widely, obviously thinking highly of herself in the moment.

"How 'bout tae brunette? She looks like'a bonnie lass." Soap commented, resting his forearms over the wooden table as he nodded towards one of the other female band members, the bassist stage named Robin. "We're lookin' for a vocalist, not 'nother bassist." Price sighed, taking another drag of his cigar before tapping it against an ashtray to take a sip of his whiskey. Gaz and Ghost were mostly silent, simply observing the potential candidates. At least Gaz seemed alive in his thoughts, his brows raised slightly in curiosity as the music finally began. Ghost however, ever the stone-faced man, was completely unreadable, per usual.

An upbeat and funky rhythm sounded through the speakers as each band member performed their parts with practiced ease, everyone giving it their all. Vixen's captivating alto voice being the main focus. You did your best to stay on-par with the rest of the band, yet remained significantly quieter. Ghost kept his eyes trained on you with laser focus, seemingly keeping a mental note of every flat, shaky note you managed to spew out like he was some sort of critic. "She's good." Gaz uttered quietly while resting his chin in his palm, subtly head bobbing to the beat. "Ah dinnae ken... Ye can barely even hear 'er over the blonde." Soap gestured a hand towards Vixen, watching as she was blatantly trying to steal the spotlight over the other band members, her voice considerably louder than the instruments. Price simply watched with a critical eye. You could practically hear the gears moving in his head.

Little by little you finally started breaking from that timid shell you were curled in and your true colors began to shine, your captivating soprano vocals mixing with Vixen's alto tone rather nicely, though it was obvious she was still trying to overpower you. Nonetheless you delivered with such soulful grace that rang out in the ears of patrons even after the song ended. Almost like a siren drawing in unsuspecting victims.

Though Price didn't say anything, it was obvious his face said it all. "I have to talk to her."

"Soprano and baritone? Not a bad combo." Gaz chipped in. "Wot's what mean?" Ghost finally spoke up, gruffly scowling as he tapped his foot against the wooden flooring below.

"Bloody 'ell, pipe down." Price grunted, waving away his smoke as well as waving away the chatter of the boys.

The rest of the performance the boys were relatively quiet, each going through their own inner turmoil. Well, everyone but Soap. He couldn't care less who joined as long as they were a decent person. As the band finally finished and the final notes rang in the air, the band roared in applause and cheers, some drunken bar-goers even going as far as to throw catcalls. As soon as the band finished and Vixen began addressing the audience while the others began loading off stage— "Be right back." Price put out his cigar and took one last swig of his drink before weaving his way through crowds with a small occasional "S'cuse me" or "Pardon me" just to get a chance to talk with you.

Sure she was as timid as a butterfly, but nothing some good practice and encouragement couldn't fix.

As Price disappeared into the crowd, Soap stood up to head back towards the bar to order some more drinks, leaving just Ghost and Gaz.

"So, what'd ya think, Si?" He smirked, his eyes flickering back up to meet Ghost's own gaze. Ghost stayed silent for a moment, avoiding Gaz's gaze slightly. He actually did enjoy the performance, though he would never admit that out loud. "T'was fine." He replied quietly, tapping a blunt fingernail against his empty glass. "Fine? That's all you can say? The girl gotta voice of siren. Bloody captivating."

He leaned back in his booth, the slight sound of denim rubbing against leather could be heard over the distant bar chatter. "Only the first band n' Price already has his eyes on a bird." Ghost subtly eye-rolled and met Gaz's brown eyes for a second, before drifting his gaze away as his eyes roamed over the crowds again, trying to find the girl Price went to talk to.

Meanwhile with Price, he managed to stop you in your tracks with his usual straight to the point charm, one that made you cock a brow subtly.

"Hey- I jus' wanted to say you hav'a lovely singin' voice, mate. A true talent." Price smiled respectfully, tucking a hand into his jeans pocket as his gaze stayed trained over you. "Ah... Thank you, sir." You replied with a small sheepish chuckle, idly fiddling with a loose string on the hem of your jeans at the compliment. Price could notice your unease and chuckled gruffly, finding it a bit amusing how sheepish you were. "Don' worry, lass. I don't bite." He reassured, a small amused huff escaping his lips. "Look, I won't sugarcoat this. I thin ya 'ave true potential, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in a little meeting, eh?" He pulled a small business card from his pocket and held it out for you between his rough fingers.

You glanced down at the card and could feel your face warming at the offer. "A business offer? Hell- I could barely hold a steady note..." You thought to yourself, before quickly snapping out of your stray thoughts and swallowed thickly, hesitantly reaching for the card. "We're currently lookin' for a secondary singer 'nd thought you'd fit in nicely. All of my details're on the card." Price added, handing the card off to you before folding his arms over his chest, watching your reaction.

You accepted the card in shaky hands, your eyes roaming over the "141" label in jagged fonts. "Right... I'll think about it." You muttered, before placing the card into your own pocket and looking back up at the man, exhaling deeply to release some nerves. "Thank you." You added quietly, shifting your weight from one foot to the other.

"F'course, lass. Hey, you have a true talent. We could use s'meone like you on our side." Price hummed, satisfaction crossing over his face at your acceptance.

You both respectfully bid farewells and went your separate ways, Price returning to the secluded booths and you being left to stand against the wall with your own thoughts. You couldn't lie, the offer was something that definitely caught your attention, but then again you were still technically in a band. Would they even notice if you left? You were barely even noticeable on stage anyways... Maybe if you—

"Y/N!" A familiar voice snapped you out of your inner turmoil, that of Vixen; better known as Crystal. "Where were you? We're packing up for the night." She sneered, placing her hands on her hips as she looked at you, almost silently judging you. "You're lucky you didn't completely blow it tonight. Everyone was too focused on me to care, anyways." Her comments definitely tugged at your gut, but you decided not to say anything about it.

"Right, sorry." You sighed, silently resenting Crystal for her constant jabs, though you couldn't say you didn't expect it. "Damn right you are. Now hurry up, Jayce is paying our tab." She stuck her nose up subtly, before turning on her heel to walk away. Your expression stiffened as she walked away, a small exhausted exhale leaving your lips.

You took one last look around the bar, your eyes falling over the booths where 141 was currently sitting, laughing it up and sharing drinks and smokes while other bands were loading on stage, before your eyes returned to the front of the bar where Crystal and the others were waiting. You patted the pocket that Price's business card was in and let out a controlled inhale, before slowly weaving through the crowds to get to them.

Though the thought of the offer hadn't left your mind yet.

FNF CONNECTED UNIVERSE LINE UP Part 1: The Boyfriends

Chat. I spent 34 hours in this canvas. I am so tired.

Anyways, when I began working on Connected Universe AU, I already knew I'd be making line ups. Cuz I love making line ups and I also love suffering.

Alternate Universe Boyfriends

So all these guys, unlike the other BFs present on this line up, are actually BF but from different universes. They're the same dude.

I thought it'd be neat to display the fact that they're from different universes by drawing them all in different art styles. It was also a fun exercise to test my art style range.

So starting from the left, we got Base Game BF. The main universe one. He's drawn in my usual art style. Not much special about him. Boyfriend.XML my beloved. I will note here though that I did take some of the elements form my own BF design and threw them onto the AU BFs. So that's why they all have some sort of jacket/hoodie etc.

Then we got Yourself. I reverted to old tactics and used my sketch for his line art, which results in him having thicker line art in general. I also further distinguished him by giving him harsh black shading. He always has that. He already had it on his face, so I just gave it to the rest of his body too. Cuz silly. You. You could even say. Silly Billy- 💥💥💥

Then we have Funkadelix. Him and a few other BFs make use of the Blackburn brush for their line art, cuz idk I like that brush. I referenced the Mutant Mayhem style when making him, since in the Connected Universe, he's in the same universe as those turtles. His colors are mostly yoinked from the actual Funkadelix sprite. I think. I may have tweaked them a bit/eyeballed them idk. I prolly eyeballed them.

Then we got Monday Dusk Monolith (MDM). I really went with the mentality of "NO ROUND SHAPES" with this fucker. Just wanted him to look super sharp and scratchy, since that AU is literally dealing with an apocalypse. So sharp shapes just made sense in my brain.

I had a lot of issues settling on a style for Mix, so I just chose to take inspiration from the FNF loading screens, cuz it just fit in my brain, idk. His design also features present in my Pico design, like the stupid cleat shoes and stray hair lines. Yknow, since he's literally a mix of BF and Pico. He also uses Blackburn

Finally, HD. I decided to try and go for a semi realistic style for him, proportion wise at least. Cuz. Yknow. HD. He also uses the blackburn brush, but I also pulled an old tactic for him and made his sketch visible over his coloring. Cuz idk, I think it lends towards the vibe.

"Side" BFs

Okay, now we're REALLY getting into AU territory.

So from here on out, all the BFs are separate people from THE BF, and have their own names and shit.

So staring off, we got Blake. I was reading through his wiki trivia and saw them say his style was more "radical and funky" than base BF's. I saw the word funky and ran with it dawg. So that explains this clothes. I also tried my darndest to get rid of a lot of the BFs caps, cuz dude, I can't have that many fuckers having cubic backwards caps. So I gave Blake a pair of star shaped sunglasses cuz funky, chat, FUNKY. We decided that his stage name is Love Bird, and he chose that cuz that's a pet name his GF has for him, and if he had a band it'd be called The Birds of Paradise.

Then we got .XML. I immediately knew I wanted to give him a mullet. Look at this man and tell me he wouldn't have a mullet. Besides that, not much changed. Since he kept the name of .XML, I imagine he is actually related to BF in some way, and he just goes by his last name. They might be cousins or brothers or something idk. There's also more dumbass info on him here:

Then there's River, or G-Sides BF. I took a lot of inspiration from his teaser designs, cuz they were silly. Literally named his river after the dumbass river design on his sweater. I don't got much info on him besides that. I can't talk about River without including this image so here:

The New Yorkers

This group is literally named after the fact that they all live in NY in my AU. Technically, the Minus BFs should also be here, but they're their own group.

Starting with Bartholomew, or B3, I just took the shape of his glasses and ran with it. Chat I needed to get that shape language from somewhere. I actually drew him twice, since the first time around I really was not digging how I drew him. He's fine now tho. His ass only got brim, cuz he had to be different somehow. Other than that. not much changed for him.

Now Evan.. Evan gave me so many issues. Like, dawg I drew him three times. I kept on trying to make the orange in his upcoming design WORK but I just COULDNT chat i COULDNT

So, per @braveboiart 's request, I ended up getting rid of it entirely and replacing it with his blues and grays. They also gave me the advice of brightening the colors a bit, which was very easy for me to do, I love bright ass colors. I also touched up his design shape wise, since that was also lacking the first time around. So boom, zippers on the pants and baggy ass sleeves. I'm content with how he came out. Chat I did all his design touch ups while I was exhausted out of my mind. Sometimes you gotta be delirious with sleep deprivation in order to cook, kids, trust me (please do not be like me-)

Benjamin was pretty simple. Kept him soft, kept him round, kept him pastel. Got rid of the caution sign on his hoodie since .XML already had that, and just replaced it with paint splatters. Not much more to say.

With X's design, I got a lot of help from my good good friend @minxtheeenby , mainly when figuring out his hair style. Those braids are not actually his hair, and are fuckass cords that connect to his headphones and can move independently. Don't ask about the logic, I will not be thinking about it. He was born in Philly cuz of his fuckass white eyes. White eyes means Philly, I don't make the rules here.

Minus BFs

The colorful critters, these guys are.

So. Beta. I had actually drawn him before this point, and he didn't change much from then

He has arrow shaped top surgery scars cuz I love giving constantly shirtless characters top scars and I just. HAD TO once I had the idea to make them arrow shaped. Main things to change since that drawing are some details on his pants and some of his colors; notedly the fact that his hat is a darker color compared to his skin to further distinguish it. Also Brave kept trying to get me to make parts of his design the same color as his nipples. So that happened /lh

Chat. I let my furry show with Blue. BUT CHAT HEAR ME OUT. On the wiki it's stated that he's a "Dog??". You think I could look at that and not go all the way? So yeah. Dog. He's silly and he got his weird ear ring things from his sister (Minus Miku).

Not much to say on Mean, he barely changed. I just drew him in my style and added a few details. He might also be an alien, idk.

Now, I posted about Golden a bit, but for those who didn't see that insanity: I made him an Alien Hominid. Cuz small yellow alien=Alien Hominid in my brain. Flawless logic. (Don't worry chat, I sat down and extensively researched the AH series to the best of my ability to check if it made sense. And I didn't see anything that would make it not make sense?) But yeah, silly. Him and Otis might be buddies, cuz goofy.

Who Fuckin Knows

These guys are just all the guys I had nowhere else to put. Miscellaneous group.

So first we have Bonnie, or Saturday Night Swappin' BF. He's another one that I had to go back and touch up. I actually touched him up the same night/morning as Evan. He ended up turning purple. The name we assigned him was an omen /j Chat I swear he was originally blue, I don't know what happened

HC that he just got really into FNaF when he was younger and has just been cosplaying a humanized Bonnie the Bunny ever since /hj

BIDU GAVE ME SO MANY ISSUES AND IDK WHY. It's prolly cuz by the time I got to him I was getting SUPER burnt. But I prospered and was able to finish him. And I don't hate how he came out, so bonus points there. Main change was replacing the prohibition sign on his shirt with a lightning bolt, cuz no one but BF is allowed to have that symbol, and Bidu already had lightning bolt imagery, so eh why not. His eyebrows being green, at least in my style, implies his hair is naturally green, and he just added the blue and pink, and I find that slightly humorous, idk.

Keith (StarCatcher) was another one I had to go back and touch up, but that's due to the fact that I was informed that him and his GF got a redesign before the creator deleted their FNF stuff. So I had to go back and fix my design according to that. I also leaned into the scape suit direction cuz SHAPE.

Now, you might be wondering, why is Flippin BF here and not with the other alternates? He was grouped with him in a previous post? Well, that's because after more assessment, I decided that Friday Night Flippin' is in fact, in the same universe as Base FNF and not an alternate universe like I had previously decided. So I changed his design a bit (mainly just getting rid of his hat and changing the color of his shoes) and boom. Different guy. He is staying pixel art tho. I do still need to come up with a different name for him tho.

Now this next one, Heath, is not from a currently existing mod, but from an FNF AU my friend Minx is making.

I decided to include him cuz he's silly and I love him. Their AU is canon to the Connected Universe.

Okay, so Cam (Hellbeats BF) changed A LOT. I let my furry slip out again. BUT I HAVE ANOTHER REASON FOR IT. See, in this connected universe, it's not just Newgrounds stuff that is canon. I also made other fandoms I'm in canon. So that means the Hellaverse is canon (specifically my rewritten version of it), and Hellbeats has to fit in with that. So I had to assign the characters species from that universe as well. So I made Cam a cherub, cuz I wanted him to stay short as fuck. He's also a raccoon cuz he's a lil shit and I thought it'd fit If ur curious, this is what everyone else is:

1998 OR 1999 JIMMY ASK EXTENDED

SO THAT ONE ANON WHO ASKED which Jimmy do I choose, if 1998 or 1999, I give all the points on why it's hard to choose

1998 Jimmy

1998 Jimmy comes from the beginning of MSI, despite starting in 1997, it's only in 1998 when we can see "decent" footage of the shows. The outfit coming from the veery early years adds an emotional layer to it

The aesthetic of 1998 Jimmy is also kind of my aesthetic too, in fact, his style, I feel like I can't describe it well, but it's like an "alt/darker" style of the 1999 one? (duh, it's black). What I mean is, What core is this? Jesus Christ tie, split dye hair, black suit, watches in his wrist, along with the old recordings that made everything darker and crunchy, nobody knows about them and they're just in a tiny room with punk posters? It's like a memory from long time ago.

Before 1997-8 era, there was 1995, with the self-titled album. 1998 is the first time I see the cross tie being incorporated, which I think it's one of the most iconic parts of Jimmy's outfit, which he kept wearing from then on. I think the cross tie connects MSI's debut work with their then kept secret PINK works and the self-titled album.

When I first knew about MSI, I found 1998 Jimmy particularly handsome, back then I didnt like much the 2008 Jimmy because I found him ugly (lie, i DID like him i was just embarrased to tell people cuz I used to only like anime guy ahh faces and he's more like handsome in an ugly way..heh..), then I found 1998 Jimmy, and then 1999 Jimmy and OUGGGGGG🤤

When I draw Jimmy, this era is the one I draw by default, currently it's a tie between the 1999 one.

He has black in his outfit and I love black.

1999 Jimmy

I think this outfit, along with the 2008 one is the MOST ICONIC outfit of Jimmy. If you draw Jimmy in any of those two, it's instantly recognizable to people in and outside the fandom

His pink outfit gives a statement that goes with the band's intentions: He wanted people to get mad to a guy running around in a pink suit. He told this in an interview

An entirely pink suit along with fairy wings is a very original concept for a punk's look if you ask me. Usually we have the perception of punks as people with mohawks, jackets, black t-shirts and spikes, but instead we got twink man with a pink suit singing crazy with fairy wings 😭😭😭🙏 gives a twist ngl, and I like that A LOT

This might seem crazy but I think all the info you need to know about him is right there if you just look at his 1999 outfit: bright pink suit, skirt, cross tie, dyed funky pink hair, stupid fairy wings and Adidas shoes. If you analyze each one of these elements and make an assumption on who he is or how he acts (without knowing him), you'd probably get it right.

He's very fun to draw! Right now I've simplified his shape and now I draw him faster and easier, he's also fun to paint because he uses bright pink.

This was the outfit he used the most in FGWSSS and Tight era I think (mostly FGWSSS), which are considered the classics of MSI, which makes this outfit more iconic imo.

He's so stupid looking in this one but handsome as well

The lettering in the royal missive from Zelda, it's super fancy and kind of funky. Like, some bits of it looked like cobbled together hylian and English and whatnot, the slightly different fonts and almost bolded bits, was it meant to be so that we could just get the important bits or is it that twilight princess link maybe can't read it all?

The borders are so cool, remind me of my old storybooks, and how while link is focused thinking, the hand about to tap his should is out of focus. Love the way you gave us a peek into his life, it seemed so natural and homey and lovely. The loft bed and ladder for links house!!!!! The way he transforms, having to touch the stone to where the mark would be, such an impressive detail and such cool thinking! I just. It is all lovely, as always, blow away

it is a mix TP Hylian and English! i was gonna hand draw it and then I realized I could just get a TP Hylian font somewhere, which is what I did 😂 the answer to your question is kind of both! it was mostly to just make clear what parts of the letter were important (it felt a little on the nose with all of it immediately legible) but also to convey that it’s slightly hard for him to read, like Official Hylian is a little different than how it’s written in Ordon. i don’t have a lot of detailed thoughts on the intricacies of how tho lol

LANCELOT HEADCANONS

hes a cat magnet. they just kinda congregat near him. there's an entire corner of the Liones' Castle courtyard with a tree that he goes to nap in that the cats of the castle all flock to so they can snuggle with him

he's definetly hissed at dog in human form at least once in front of the group and never lives it down

he acts all smart and shit but he can be hilariously gullible when it comes to stupid human customs, especially regarding high society bullshit. Donny and Jade are the worst at messing with him about this, but Tristan can and will continue to always be the one he never realizes is pulling his leg about it until someone else realizes and messes with him about it

There is a specific something about hearing Gwen and Tristan saying "my boyfriend" about Lance that gets him all happy. It just makes him all fuzzy to know that two of the people he cares about most, care about him as much and that he gets to say they're his and he's theirs. He doesn't say pet names but if one of them calls him by one, he gets all bashful and huffy but he really adores it.

He's a little SHIT and gets huffy when Gwen and Tristan won't let him fight off their suitors at balls and shit. His solution is to be mean to everyone but them and be arm in arm with one of them as often as possible. He has to be physically stopped from growling at the people who keep trying to "introduce" their kids to them to try and start something Best part is him not realizing that people are also trying to set their kids up with him. Forgets him being a prince of a kingdom is a big deal, even if Benwick is technically a small kingdom at that point Lancelot being so confused by when Tristan and Gwen being huffy at people for trying to steal their boyfriend "Why are you two mad?" "That girl was throwing herself at you!" "She was not, she was talking a lot though." "Lance. She was flirting with you." "…. why would she do that??" "……" "Lancelot Benwick, you may the most oblivious person I know." they both know how to handle high society bullshit, but they know Lance doesn't so as fighty as he is about them having suitors, they're also antsy to fend off people who want to court Lance and he just never realizes cause they do it high society style by being politely mean

he's touch starved AND Touch adverse usually, but when it comes to the people closest to him (mostly a Gwen and Tristan, but applies to others like his parents and particularly Percy Platoon) he has a habit of reaching for pulse points. Just to feel some proper proof under his fingers that the person is real. (For Canon, its residual instincts from while he and Jericho were in that Chaos Realm. For Chaos Cult, it's because my man stresses so hard he starts seeing shit and has horrible nightmares. And Slice of Life AU, its leftover trauma from when he, Gwen Tristan and Nasiens got kidnapped, the moment that seperates SOL from CCK) Absolutely makes him accidentally seem really romantic and suave when he kisses Gwen or Tristan's wrist, will make them so flustered

Scares the shit out of several people regularly by reaching for the pulse point on the neck, no one ever gets used to it Ban is the only one who's safe from that cause hes so fuckin tall

In Canon universe, his canines are much longer than the average person, mostly because he tends to lean more wild than human. In Chaos Cult, all his teeth are noticeably sharper than a normal person's, which is entirely intentional on his end to be more threatening. Slice Of Life is the only universe where his teeth are almost entierly normal looking

He's bitey so in most universes, he will draw blood

i genuinely do think that as Lancelot gets his head out of his ass and lets himself be more caring of the rest of the gang (Percy Platoon + Tristan Platoon) he gets such bad fucking anxiety that he's gonna inadvertently get them all killed. especially after Jade dies. He is, without a doubt or exaggeration, the strongest and most experienced of the group. He's the weird defacto leader regardless of anything people might argue on. Like?? Percy and Tristan both clearly tend to follow his lead and the Percy Platoon trust Lance pretty strongly. Tristan platoon do whatever Tristan says and i think as they get older Chion learns to chill his shit, especially regarding Lancelot.

The fucking pressure??! All of his friends- pretty much everyone he gives a shit about- would follow his lead if he were to be confident enough to decide to go straight after Arthur or to go to the heart of Camelot. sure, some people might weigh in opinions and other plans, but he's always been good about having plans and he can take on pretty much any Chaos Knight. So it become more "can he make the judgement of whether the others are ready for the fight to come" and whether he can protect them until then *And can you even imagine*

If he makes the wrong call, if he overestimates even one of them

the panic and desire to keep his friends safe could make him want to over prepare and wind up pushign the entire gang to take longer than they need to to go after Arthur, potentially winding up with someone having to decide to tell Lancelot he's over doing it- or *worse*

that they're running out of time that they have to act before there's nothing left to save, that they might've already lost so much

or EVEN WORSE, HE DECIDES NOT TO RISK THEM AT ALL AND DECIDES TO GO FIGHT ARTHUR ALONE

I love these hoodies a lot; they are from that one drawing that Yana did of Diasomnia boys going to a movie theater. Katsu and I both are so obsessed with it; they look so adorable wearing those! images of my process when i drew the king new vegas, which was particularly important for him as i wanted him to very clearly be "elvis presley"

the in-game model was a good starting point, but i felt like he didnt really look like elvis, though im sure the devs did what they could, considering the limitations of the character creation stuff... so i mostly looked at pics of the real elvis and art that depicted a more realistic elvis, like @spursthatjingle 's drawing of the king!

I started with trying to be as "on-model" as i could, just to get the main shapes and character, then drawing him again without looking at any references and depending on what stuck in my mind - things that stood out and might make someone more unique. then, refining by looking at inspirational art that i wanted to add pieces of, like @t00thpasteface 's the king drawings, as well as agent elvis' design (face shape, nose and nose bridge, eyebrows, and his eyes) (i love drawing the eyes theyre so funky) (and his LIPS!! lineart upper lip so good... save me lineart upper lip)

and then i blacked out and the drawing was done. YIPPEE
